awesome
Pros: Comfortable, great clarity, nice cord
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: The picture shown on newegg doesn't do it any justice, it's really nice looking in person. I was looking for something to replace my bose around-the-ear headphones and spent hours reading reviews until my eyes bled. I looked at sennheisers, equation, beyerdynamic, grado and others but went with these and glad i did.

Not Noise Canceling
Pros: Good headphones, nice long braided cable. Includes jack adapter.
Cons: Not Noise Canceling, Incorrectly listed as Noise Canceling under Specs. To the manufacturers credit they do not call these Noise Canceling.
Other Thoughts: I purchased these based on the good reviews and looking at the specifications they are listed as being Noise Canceling. I work in an environment with constant low freq background noise that my previous headset did a great job of noise canceling but I wanted to get a more comfortable over the ears headphones.

Good, Not Great
Pros: Comfortable, excellent cord, good sonic qualities.
Cons: Unspectacular reproduction of low bass and high treble, huge, can get hot over extended sessions
Other Thoughts: Not as good as I thought they'd be. Will not be returning to Audio-Technica.

THESE are GREAT
Pros: These are great! They cover your entire ear, they are light, the cord is long enough and very flexible. I use these for gaming and they sound superb. Ive owned many sets of headphones and these are BY FAR the best I've owned to date. They can be worn for many hours without your ears hurting.
Cons: They are big and hard to find spots to "lay-em down".
Other Thoughts: Great set, if your looking for headphones, then look no further!!

Stunning
Pros: These sound absolutely incredible. I've heard many good speakers, but until now, the ebst headphones I'd heard were like, $40 gaming headsets - so I probably can't judge these as objectively as some sound engineers can. Regardless of my qualifications, though, I can tell you this: THese sound fantastic. Whatever headphones sound much better than these, I don't know if my ears would be able to tell the difference. These are clearer than anything I've ever heard, and they can go plenty loud, and they don't distort, and they are just good. My music sounded much better when I got a fancy sound card/speakers, but these headphones make a difference, too.
Cons: I can't think of anything. I can wear these for hours and hours without any stress on my head/face, and you know some headphones can hurt the ears after a few hours. These are fine. No cons.
Other Thoughts: I run these from an HT Omega Claro Plus+ sound card, and my music sounds fantastic. Everything sounds fantastic, I mean. When I went from onboard + budget 2.1 speakers to my Claro Plus+ and Klipsh Promedias, I noticed a massive difference in all of my sound. These are even better, and that's not a mind-over-matter/placebo effect thing, it's definitely better - and that says a lot, because those Klipsch speakers rule. I don't think my speakers will get nearly as much use as my headphones now, though. Wow. Buy these if you're thinking about it.
For more information, I listen to a lot of heavy metal (all known subgenres) and my fair share of classical, as well a healthy serving of trance like ATB or Armin Van Buuren, etc. My MP3s are anywhere from 192kbps to 320, and I have some FLAC stuff, too. The headphones sound great, period, regardless of whether I listen to Morbid Angel or ATB. It's almost cliche to say it, but I did notice some things in recordings that I did not notice befo

best headphones I have ever had!
Pros: the sound is so amazing, puts my old fail-tality headset to shame. I love that they are able to fit all the way over my ears because I have large gauges and most headsets usually irritate me. Self adjust is really nice, not too tight not too loose, just right. Some complain about sloppy bass but I have yet to experience this.
Cons: I love the cord, but it would be nice if it detachable at the headset end so i don't have to worry about rolling over the cord with my chair so much.
Other Thoughts: If these were rated out of 100 I would give em 96, just cause I want the replaceable cord. It's really not that big of a deal though.
These Things are amazing!! money well spent! I have to re-listen to my whole library because every song is so much clearer!

best out of the 3 we've got
Pros: GREAT sound. Overall quality is superb. Very comfortable. Love the chord ( it doesn't twist around like the other plastic ones ). Very satisfied with the product.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: My brother has a Sennheiser 555 and the sound wasn't as good as the ATH A700. We also ordered a Trittion AXPro just to see how it is. Out of the 3 we have, this one comes out best. Hands down, no gray areas. I've ordered another one for my mother already, and my brother think of getting this one for himself, and ditch the other 2 he has.

Mongo Like!
Pros: Better than my Sennheisers (which were the best 30 year headphones anybody has ever had) and my Bose Circumaural. Audiophile quality.
Cons: A little bright, but I hear that this diminishes when they have been played for awhile.
Other Thoughts: Light feeling and comfortable. Weird little "wings" on top. Very satisfied.

Good value on some entry level audiophile headphones
Pros: They are great for competitive gaming. After using these your $50 USB headsets will sound like garbage.
They can be easily powered by most any source.
Cons: I’ll give them 5 stars because I think they’re great for the price. They do have a few cons worth mentioning.
The mids are weak. They’re big. They get hot. The bass is slightly sloppy.
Other Thoughts: Another alternative is the Audio Technica AD700 which Newegg sells for about the same price. They are also a great gaming headphone but they sound totally different than the A700. The A700 is closed with thumping bass and the AD700 is open and more accurate.

Great Value
Pros: Amazing sound, light, and they don't need a headphone Amp. To my surprise, they even have a good amount of bass-slam with the right EAX pre-set or EQ setting.
Cons: Size. You won't see me walking around public with these on. Highs can be a little piercing, but I can't say if that will go away with more break-in.
Other Thoughts: Huge difference in sound quality when plugged into onboard audio vs my Audigy 2. If your getting distortion when plugged into the pass-through headphone jack on your PC speakers, try plugging them directly into your sound card. I was very surprised by the difference in volume level(and quality of sound) when I plugged these directly into my sound card vs. the jack on my z5500 control panel.

Best sound I have ever heard
Pros: Like most people here I did a ton of research and these were hands down the best and highest rated headphones I could find for under 300 dollars. They are very comfortable and of great quality. Bass is great even when you push it up on the EQ. The highs are where they shine the most. Higher vocals (female singers) and acoustic guitar will make you speechless. Everyone I had listen to them were amazed at how good they sound. You hear things in music you have never heard before.
Cons: The sound is very harsh on the highs at first and it did take at least a few hours of blasting music to work them in a little. They sound better and better the more I listen to them.
Other Thoughts: They are huge, bigger then they look in the picture. For the EQ I found that lowering the lower mids and upping the bass sounds best. The harsh highs are the first thing to go when you start breaking them in. High quality DVD audio sounds amazing.

Amazing Headphones
Pros: These produce the highest sound quality you'll get from headphones without jumping up to the $300-400 range. Truly amazing sound quality. Extremely comfortable. I've worn them for 6 hours straight and after six hours, they felt as if I had just put them on, you forget they're on sometimes :p The cable is really high quality. Has a woven fiber cloth surrounding the cable so it never kinks and is quite durable. Easily fits any size head. Great bass response! Not too much, but still there. Great for slower/softer music such as jazz, but also great for if you're feeling "gansta" and throw on some rap with deep bass notes.
Cons: The midrange seems slightly louder than the lows and highs, nothing an equalizer can't fix, sounds phenomenal after a couple minutes of adjusting. the plastic that it's made of seems a little cheap, but these supposedly last a really long time, so I'm not worried about it.
Other Thoughts: I did some serious research on headphones before buying this set - I waited several months, asking audiophiles what the best choice would be for under $300. I had high expectations for these headphones, and boy did they deliver.
Oh, but if you thought hat-hair was bad... try wearing these for a couple hours...

I'm hearing thing I never heard!
Pros: Excellent sound quality, comfortable, easilly withstands my music, Definately worth its price!
Cons: Bigger than I expected
Other Thoughts: This is my first pair of headphones of this quality, and the difference is definately noticable. I played all the range i could from high highs to lowest lows, it never pushed these headphones. I belive my sound card is whats keeping these from performing their best! I'm hearing sounds in the music I listen to on a regular basis that I've NEVER heard before. A real treat for the ears.

Pros: Very good sound quality, comfortable to wear, no bleeding of sound whatsoever.
Cons: can make your ears a little warm after a couple hours of use, loose on your head unless yah got a big noggin.
Other Thoughts: Very good quality of sound for the price

Great for Gaming
Pros: Great Soundstage. I have heard that the bass wasn't very loud on these headphones, but I never noticed a lack of bass. My music sounds fantastic. These headphones are mainly used for competitive play in Call of Duty 4. I can hear so much better with these headphones. They are VERY comfortable and have a long cord.
Cons: Takes about 3-4 to get used to on the gaming end. You hear quite a bit and you will need to lower your volume to get an accurate representation of locations. Otherwise you will just be in awe of what you can actually hear.
Other Thoughts: High Recommend these headphones. They are a great buy.
Also if you are gonna need a mic, the Zalman ZM-MIC1 works perfect.

Powerful, light, amazing!
Pros: I have a lot of scarring on the top of my head, which is very sensitive. The suspension-like headband really helps with this, as I can wear these for hours on end without discomfort. The headband also makes the headphones themselves feel very light, and the ear cups also help block out a good deal of sound for isolation. The highs are crisp and clean, mids are warm and smooth, and bass is deep without crunching.
Cons: They're closed, so they don't require an amplifier, but these WILL drain your ipod/mp3 player/nintendo ds(if you're me, that is). Photo shows that these headphones are blue, but they're actually black with a candy crush paintjob with blue paint flecks.
Other Thoughts: As a competitive quake player and audiophile, these headphones suit my needs very well without breaking the bank.

Rock and Roll
Pros: The sound quality is simply amazing. I replaced my Bose noise cancelling headphones (300 bucks a pop) with these and I was simply astounded. What used to be high volume and clarity on the Bose was no comparison to these and I had to crank it down with these puppies. I can't wait to upgrade my sound card! I've currently got an Audigy 2 and will be upgrading to a Azuntech X-FI Prelude in the next couple of weeks.
Cons: Like a lot of other folks the size. I feel like Princess leah from Star Wars wearing them...but who gives a &$%$#...they rock!!

Cons: Blue...

Great Value!
Pros: Comfort for me is paramount because of how much time I spend with my headphones on, and these deliver. This pair of headphones is extremely comfortable for long periods of time, if your already used to wearing headphones for 5+ hours at a time. The chord is a heavy duty fiber braided variety so you won't have to worry about damaging it under normal use. But really the biggest pro for these headphones is the sound quality. The sound reproduction is very accurate, the balance low/mid/high is very good despite what some have said, treble may be a litte overpowered but nothing an EQ can't fix.
Cons: Only the fact that these don't have a magnesium frame like their open air cousins the ATH-AD700.
Other Thoughts: I have used these extensively in FPSs online and the positional audio is exquisitely reproduced in the sound stage these headphones provide. I am able to accurately track my enemies without ever needing to see them, their footsteps work just fine ;). If you are a gamer that relly loves music also, I highly recommend these headphones, gamers and musicians alike, you will not be left wanting with this purchase. Couple these headphones with a quality sound card, be it game oriented, or music production oriented these headphones will not disappoint, they provide professional performance at an enthusiasts price.

Pros: I am not an audiophile, nor will I claim to know anything about audio electronics, but these are worlds above what I used to own! They're so clear and just sound amazing. Not too much bass but not too little, it compliments the music just perfect.
As mentioned below the cord is really great, just long enough to shut off the light when I need to and stiff enough to never have to worry about a short.
Cons: They tend to hurt my ears if I wear them too long.
Other Thoughts: When I saw the picture they looked a lot rounder, but are actually pretty flat. Just thought I'd mention that.

Awesome Sauce
Pros: Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect balance between low/mid/high response. I hear things with these I couldn’t hear on my old headphones that if I had known were there I would have fixed in my compositions. Monitors you can wear on your head so I don’t keep my roommates up writing, not that I’d want to use my speakers since the bass these things reproduce is perfect!
Cons: They are huge, I can see the ear piece if I look to the side far enough. But that’s only a con if you’re worried about setting a fashion trend... wearing headphones...

Amazing, but not for everything.
Pros: Extremely clean (could be good or bad). For some music/games, these headphones are awesome. Some reviews I've read online say the bass is too high. I found the exact opposite to be true. I have the treble turned down and the bass up for these.
They are extremely comfortable. For big headphones, they feel really light and barely put any pressure against my head, though are still able to block the outside world.
Cons: Too clean sometimes, can get harsh. Some of the music I listen too needs to sound a little dirty, and these headphones just aren't able to do it. For 95% of my music, this is a huge improvement. I can't get my equalizer tuned though to encompass all my music and sometimes the highs get too harsh.
Other Thoughts: The chord is awesome!! I've had thicker cords that are always annoying because they develop a memory in them. The chord has a braided cloth surround and is very robust with no memory what-so-ever. I'm please thus far. I would rate this 4.5 stars if able.

Good buy
Pros: Great soundstage, very comfy. Sounds like people are lip syncing with your music when they're actually yelling at you while they're over your head. Great for gaming, I noticed a considerable difference playing CoD4 and TF2 over my last set.
Cons: I owned a pair of Sony MDR-V600's (RIP), and they just dont' sound as good playing music. I'm no headphone/sound expert, but they seem to lack the bass I was looking for in a closed pair of headphones. Only con I've had with these, other than that the sound is very clear and crisp.
Other Thoughts: I would suggest buying these if you play alot of games or watch movies with surround sound. I also suggest investing into a good soundcard if you plan on using these on your computer.

Pros: great positional, great sound, extremely comfortable
Cons: kinda look dumb if someone catches u wearin them for the first time
Other Thoughts: better than my sennheiser hd555s. they are light on my head and dont squeeze my head like the hd555. the padding is much better, and i can hear much better and crisper!

Great headphones, great service!
Pros: These are truly excellent headphones and a steal at this price. Why anyone would buy Bose instead of Audio-Technica is beyond me. These sound better and have much better construction. I can't get over the quality for the price and the sound is fantastic. Super comfortable. Look great. Just buy them already!
Cons: They are big but I have a big head. :-)
Other Thoughts: Newegg outdid themselves on shipping. I ordered them on Sunday and got them on Tuesday!

Bose-O!
Pros: Perfect sound and comfort. I am a writer and mostly use these to listen to recordings. With these I here miniscule details I never could before. I do game some as well and they conquer that realm as well. I have owned and used many different brands of headphones over the years and I've searched for the best I could get regardless of price. Look no further. I even own the top of the line bose, noise cancelling headphones($300+) and they suck compared to these in sound quality and especially comfort.
Cons: Price, but if they were free they would be like government cheese.

Puuurrrfection
Pros: THe sound is monumental and so is the technical support. No problems, I just called to find out. If not for the beautiful sound coming out of them you would forget they were on your head.
Cons: I can't here my wife when she calls me to get off the computer. Oh wait, that's not a con. Sorry! He He!

Pros: These headphones are so comfortable I wish I had a pillow that felt this good and the sound is so ... well perfect. I love these headphones
Cons: That they weren't cheaper... STILL GOOD PRICE!! Well worth it
Other Thoughts: The ones I got weren't as blue as the one in the picture, infact they are a very dark blue.. almost black.. very sexy looks awesome

Great Headphones
Pros: These are by far the best headphones I have ever heard.
Cons: Price.
Other Thoughts: The price may be steep, but if you pair this with a great sound card (xtreme gamer Fatal1ty) you would not be able to get better sound.
