Great All-In_one
Pros: Fast, quiet, wonderful color, duo-paper sources, built-in duplex, great software bundle!
Cons: Vista users must go to Canon website for some compatible software
Other Thoughts: I am a small business owner and an HP man to the heart. I was looking for an ink jet all-in-one that had individual ink cartridges for each color. I was not happy with the CNET reviews I read on the HP I was considering. This Canon has everything I was looking for and more! The built in duplex unit was unexpected because it's only mentioned as an afterthought. The color quality surpasses HP and the scanning package allows documents to be saved as Adobe Reader 9 documents which is great for keeping and accessing customer records. I highly recommend this all-in-one for anyone who needs to do a lot and want to do it well and fast!

Great Printer
Pros: Pretty fast, good quality printing and scanning, ink lasts forever. It works as advertised and does a good job at it.
Cons: After owning it for over a year, the usb cord sometimes is a little loose.
Other Thoughts: Even with the USB cord thing, I wouldn't trade this for anything other than another Canon. Huge difference between this and any other printer I've ever used.

Nice All-in-one Canon Printer!
Pros: I did not buy from Newegg, but I've used it extensively at my desk at work. It prints quick. It uses separate ink tanks. The ADF feature is quicker than the standalone Xerox personal scanner that it replaced. It scans well. And I can print on CD/DVDs like my Epson R200 at home (provided you have the CD printer tray). I like it a lot better than the Epson, which always seems slow. I may need to replace my Epson at home.
Cons: It's a little limited on the color ink tanks. My Epson has 5 different colors plus black; the Canon has 3 plus 2 black ink cartridges.
Other Thoughts: Only certain Canon printers have the CD printing capability, so research before you buy.

Worked fine until it broke
Pros: Nice scanner with feeder, double sided printing, cheap for what it offers (originally I only wanted a scanner).
Cons: After about 18 months, the printer suddenly (between scans with the feeder) claimed ``scanner problem'' and stopped working completely. Apparently this needs to be repaired by Canon, which (given the price of a printer and ink) is just not worth it. The usual Canon issue of double sided printing using color ink (probably because of quicker drying).
Other Thoughts: With the price of ink, a full set of cartridges already goes at $50, I replaced the broken printer with a refurb. model (including ink) at moderate cost.

K
Pros: This is the greatest machine I have had the fortune to sell. My clients are buying them faster than I can get them in. Having a Cannon Pixma myself that I use in my business and just loved, I put one of these myself for the business and saved better than $200. Kitos to NewEgg and Cannon for the great deals.
Cons: My clients complained about the fact that there was no USB cable enclosed with the unit. I offered them a 20 ft cable fee of charge, boy was that taken as a stupid deal we don't need that long. Ha Ha
Other Thoughts: Cannon should make it a little easier for us techs to set the machine up as I don't really have the time to do it for my clients. Other than that NewEgg excells in there ability for me to make a good living and Cannon excells with their good products

Canon Almost Perfect
Pros: One of the best All-in-Ones on the market. There are numerois generic suppliers of good low cost ink for this printer. Large ink tanks. Two black tanks, one is extra large! Fairly easy setup. Fast printing, great quality for MFP. I can not tell the difference between a color copy and original. Dual paper feeds. (Top and Bottom) Over 1 year and not one paper jam. Can actually override the out of ink message to continue printing until near dry. Canon durability second to none. My wife can actually use it (Fax and all) and she is not at all technical.
Cons: Same issues as with many reviewers. Fax is hard to configure, but this is not different than most of the multi-function printers. Smart chip is a nuisance, but not s show stopper. Not a great printer for Photos, but not bad either.

Cannon Printer Problem
Pros: Good quality printing, scanning and copying.
Cons: This printer has a major problem printing or receiving a FAX when any ink cartridge is reported low of ink. Since Cannon has put a computer chip on each ink cartridge, the printer decides when ink is low, even when there is still a good amount of ink left. Once the cartridge chip reports that ink is low, you can no longer receive a FAX automaticaly. Also, the printer will constantly remind you that ink is low, and eventually will stop printing, even if there is ink left in the cartridge. You cannot refil the cartridge yourself because the chip will still report that ink is LOW!
Buyer Beware!! I haven't found any generic cartridges that will work in these new Cannon printers.
Other Thoughts: Cannon lost my business. I hope it works for you.

Great Printer
Pros: Fast, quiet, duplexing; this printer is awesome. I replaced an Epson that I had that was horrible compared to this printer. I have this hooked up to a USB device server (Silex SX-1000U) and it works perfectly now from anywhere in the house! Photos look great.
Cons: Ink is a bit expensive
