Best I have owned
Pros: -Separate color ink tanks -VERY fast borderless 4x6 photo prints -Easy photo reprint, quickly copy up to 6 4x6 photos at once and most eyes cannot tell the difference between the original and the copy -Photo colors do not fade over time (already > 14 months) -Great quality copier/scanner -Sturdy (but somewhat heavy) construction -Vibrant and sharp colors -Scanner (via Xsane) and Printer work flawlessly with no setup in Ubuntu 8.10, just plug in and you're ready to go -Works flawlessly with Win XP and Ubuntu software (I have no mac), no problems at all with network printing either -Pictbridge and several memory card slots
Cons: -U150 error. I got this with 2 ink tanks (yellow 8, and cyan 8) last summer, but I have not since. It appears to be a cartridge problem (MP620 uses different cartridges). If it has been fixed I cannot tell you. -Large so it is bulky for small desks -No wifi connection (as seen in the MP620) -Can take several seconds getting ready before printing, even with black and white text -Cannot print off of a USB flash drive (only memory cards), USB is only for pictbridge devices -I wish copying was faster
Other Thoughts: -I have both this and the MP620 and I feel the quality of the plastic is better in the MP610. I've also seen broken MP620s in retail stores where the hinges for the scanner broke, it is a different design than the MP610 -As with any printer regular cleaning is necessary, and it's nice to be able to easily clean without a PC via the Settings > Maintenance >Cleaning in the printer menu -Manual says not to turn off by unplugging because it caps the print head on shutdown. Takes < 2 seconds to start up, but could take 10-15 seconds to shut down

Pros: Printer and scanner are both very high quality for the price. The ink cartridges are incredibly long lasting.
Cons: Doesn't print as fast as a laser printer, but is on par with standard inkjets.
Also didn't come with a USB cable. Not a big issue, but somewhat confusing.

very very nice all in one printer
Pros: Scanning - Very clear, ture color Printing - Fast and clear Haven't tried copying and printing photo, but so far so good, no paper jam or anything
Cons: Took awhile to set it up, especially i didn't find any installation instruction guide, but not a big deal since i figured it out.
Other Thoughts: for the price, brand and quality, take it home with you, definately recommended!

Awesome!!!
Pros: Picture quality is EXCELLENT!!! Scanner works beautifully. Pages print pretty quick even photos print quick on the best quality setting.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I bought this printer because it was on sale. I had a few reservations as I've had Cannon printers in the past and they fell short of the mark. IE: cartridge cost and reliability. I couldn't be happier with this printer. It has surpassed my expectations. The software included makes it very easy to use and set up. As I stated the picture quality is unbelievable. They look like you just had them developed from film. Even when scanning photos to store them on you computer, you can adjust the settings for the best quality possible. The cost of cartridges isn't off the wall either. Roughly twelve bucks each.

Great Printer
Pros: Absolutely love this printer. It's fast, easy setup, and the quality of the photos are very high for a home solution!
Cons: it's really big, bigger than I thought. But honestly I couldn't be happier with this printer.
Other Thoughts: I LOVE NEWEGG!!

great
Pros: Canon name and quality. Fast and efficiate. Works great, what more can I say? Rear feed tray and cassette feeder.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Smells like machine grease when cover/tray is open (not a con for me).

love this printer
Pros: lot's of cool features that might wow you (it wow-ed me coming from an old HP Deskjet printer), separate ink tanks, two paper trays, image quality is lovelyy! do yourself a favor and print from photoshop, not windows picture and fax viewer, you'll see the difference.
Cons: it's huge! like seriously big so make sure you have room for it, don't know why it takes up this much space
Also expensive bluetooth dongle is required for wireless printing so don't buy this if that's what you're after, very limited bluetooth printing (all you can do is print, not scan or anything else),
no wifi
Other Thoughts: if you're serious about your image quality and are on a budget, go with this one, no regrets, got it off newegg for $80 eighty

DOA
Pros: Cheap. couz it's recertificated.
Cons: cant print anything, even a dot. I followed the troubleshooting, did the cleaning head and the aligning printer head for many times. But it still not works... wth...
Other Thoughts: so upset and hate this!! it should be repaired before to be sell again. now seems I have to pay for the return ship... hah...

Great printer, great price
Pros: This is a great printer at a great price. It has all the functions that I need; printing, scanning, and copying. So far, I have ordered two of these, the first one for my mother, and the second one for myself after I noticed newegg was having it at a discount price. The print quality is excellent. I tested the copying function and the copy was practically identical to the source. I have had no problems with either of the two PIXMA printers I have bought, and they installed without a hitch.
Cons: The printer is pretty bulky, so if you don't have a fairly spacious desk, you'll need a stand or small table to set it on. I replaced my old Canon i550 printer and it was small enough to fit on my desk, but the PIXMA is sitting on a small stand beside my computer desk. Haven't had to replace the ink cartridges yet, but I imagine they are pricey, but that is a con for pretty much any modern printer nowadays, so I consider that pretty much a non factor.
Other Thoughts: You may want to look into the PIXMA MP620 if you need a wireless network printer. As of this writing, the 620 is $119 and the 610 is $79 so the 610 is pretty much a no-brainer if you're looking for the best bang for your buck. I have no need for wireless networking so this isn't an issue for me.
Also, these printers don't have fax capabilities, but I never fax anything, don't even have a land line, so I didn't list this as a con. Just some things to keep in mind before purchasing the right printer for you.
For installation, I didn't use the disc that came with it, but downloaded the latest driver from Canon's website. If you are having problems installing, just download the driver there. Works fine on my system running Vista x64.

MP6xx is trash
Pros: I've had this printer for about 4 years now, and when it works, it works great. Scanning is easy with the software that comes with it, and it prints clearly.
Cons: Ink cartridges have chips to tell your computer when the ink is low (or out). The problem here is that if one cartridge is empty, or if a chip goes bad (meaning the cartridge can't be recognized), the printer WILL NOT PRINT!!!! Why would you disable all printing just because of a problem with one ink cartridge? I would NEVER buy another printer with "smart cartridges". It's a pain in the ***!
Other Thoughts: I give it just two stars because of the poor design of their "smart cartidges."

Pros: Nice print quality, quick, quiet, closes up into a rectangular box shape with no funny shapes sticking out. Doesn't seem to suck ink.
Cons: None that I can think of.

Flawed product after 6 months
Pros: Prints fast in both B&W and color
Cons: The scanner and printer can't function at the same time on my printer any longer. The tiny little belt driving the scanner head starts glitching if I print at the same time, which basically voids the copy function on the printer altogether.
On top of that replacing the ink costs about $20 per cartridge and there's 4 of them. The newer wireless version of this printer costs $99 on Newegg today, go figure. What's a reasonable person to do if he wants to save money?

Excellent all in 1 printer!!
Pros: I did a tremendous amount of research after my old HP finally died and I held my breath with the Canon MP610. I opened it out of the box and assemble and set up was a breeze. I run Vista and had no problems! The software took some getting used to because I have always had HP however it wasn't complicated to learn. Print speeds are wonderful and the quality of print is HONESTLY NEAR LAB QUALITY!! I was actually very surprised when i seen the Canon printed picture compared to a lab picture and how close they were. When i used the scanner and printed out the picture was excellent too. The only thing i noticed between the original and the scanned copy was the scanned copy had a tiny bit more pink hue to it than the original. I am truely happy with my purchase of the MP610 and recommend it to ANYONE in need of a new printer regardless of what their use for it be. (except maybe a professional) I also love the fact that is can print from your cell phone with the bluetooth capiblities!
Cons: That I didn't buy this printer sooner!!!!
Other Thoughts: Awesome printer, great quality and not too exspensive especially here from Newegg.com!!

Slow start, but love it now!
Pros: This printer is so quick printing out color photos. It's amazing! The quality is great too.
Cons: The only gliche that we had was the application that came with the printer was not compatable with our Windows platform. Luckily we have a friend who is more computer savy that we are and was able to figure the problem out for us. Now I use another application and things are fine.

Stylish, compact, quick, quiet...
Pros: This printer is a sleek compact and dynamic powerhouse capable of high quality prints on paper of all kinds. Card slots are a plus (even though I already have card readers), the screen is most convenient. PictBridge USB port syncs flawlessly with my devices (especially my cellphone). Scanner is GREAT. Awesomess can only come from this printer
Cons: Nothing. It's perfect.

Great quiet printer
Pros: Had been using Epson photo printers for years, but this printer has me switching camps to Canon. Much more quiet than my Epson printers. Quality of prints is outstanding, speed is impressive. Duplex printing saves on paper. An excellent all-in-one w/o fax.
Cons: A bit bulkly; wish it had a smaller footprint. The included scanning software is pretty primative, yet a bit confusing for the kids.
Other Thoughts: Used by kids (9 & 11) and adults for printing, photocopies, and scanning (in order of frequency). Duplex printing has saved me a good amount of paper on the kid's projects.

Great all-in-one printer
Pros: Double-sided printing, individual color ink cartridges, hi-res printing, hi-res scanning, good picture printing software included, fast, great price.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I bought this printer based on the print and scan capabilities and was extremely impressed with the picture quality. I enjoy using it so much that I always stop by the photo paper department to look for good deals on quality photo paper. It doesn't get any better at this price. Planning to buy 2 more for other family members. Newegg has the best price.

Installs and Works Painlessly
Pros: The installation was almost trouble-free. If you choose "Custom Insion," you can easily eliminate the bloatware. So far, it has worked without glitches.
Cons: Software menu does not provide for one-click copies to another printer. Ink cartridges are a little more involved to install than HP, but not really a big factor.
Other Thoughts: I had lots of problems with the Canon LIDE90 scanner, evidently because the LIDE90 powers off the USB line, and my computer did not supply enough power to the scanner. So, I replaced it with the MP610, gaining a printer in the process. I forgot to uninstall the LIDE90 software, and this caused a problem that was fixed by an uninstall of all Canon software, and a re-install of MP610 software. I have not done an extensive analysis of quality yet, but I would say this is a well-built, sensible all-in-one for the price.

excellent
Pros: Great picture quality, a little slower than the mp830 for fax, but the quality is much better. Easy control panel, nice LCD, a little bit cheaper lower tray but functional. I am going to do an addendum after the warranty expires to see if this hangs in there or quits like the MP830.
Cons: A little slower, but I don't care. I was looking for good picture reproduction and I got it.
Other Thoughts: I will review this again after the warranty expires and hopefully it will still be working, unlike its junk predecessor the MP830.

Amazing printer
Pros: Double sided printing, 1-sided to 2-sided copies, prints from thumb drives, SD memory and anything else you can plug into it. LCD make it very easy to use non-computer assets. Set the print to fast and ran a Windows test page. It took 2 seconds to print! print quality at fast was excellent (not draft looking). Next ran the copier on the test page in black/white. 4 seconds later it was clean and just as good as original excluding the non-color print. the printer is also small compared to other all-in-ones. Using the bottom paper draw means the back does not have to be open. Very small footprint. Installed on XP and network printed from Vista just fine.
Cons: LCD is always on even when the cover is closed. The cable (not provided) required is the standard A-B USB cable for printers, so if this replaces the old one, you already have a cable.
Other Thoughts: Got it yesterday. It seems more complex to setup than most, but then again, just follow the instructions. I can tell Canon engineers put alot of time into getting the printer to auto adjust so its perfect. Yes, that means longer setup and more detail install. Like to install the ink you have to push on the "Push" circle. Software install was the easiest part.

Pros: Easy setup; great style and color; quick startup (less than a second); LCD screen is easy to read; quick delivery by Newegg and UPS.
Cons: None at this point.
Other Thoughts: I received the printer this afternoon. Why am I rating it so soon -- because the setup was certainly much easier than many of the reviews that I have read. Yes, it took about 45 minutes, but mainly because I take time to read all of the instructions. For this reason, I had no glitches. Installing the software took all of 5 minutes from start to finish. Once you register it, you are allowed to receive free shipping when you buy 2 or more ink tanks from Canon Store. I will update after I have had some time to put it through its paces. I don't expect any less than a perfect experience.

Fast, High Quality
Pros: Extremely fast, high quality printer. Great for photos and artwork.
Cons: Big, No USB cable included
Other Thoughts: Received in two days. Great quality on high settings. Used custom installation. only installed the drivers...not sure how the software suite is. Everything is legit so far.

Great, easy printer
Pros: Simple, fast all-in-one that gives great quality prints. Loads from either the cassette (bottom tray, nicely hidden) or a top, pull-out tray. Duplex printing (printing on both sides) saves paper but is a bit slow. Ink is separated by color and there are two black ink cartridges, a larger one for just b&w.
The flip LCD and button panel is quite intuitive and powerful. Very easy to copy documents and make prints from a digital camera (using USB or SD card) without a computer.
Cons: This thing's a little big IMO. Having to flip open the LCD panel to get to the on button is slightly annoying if you're just printing from the computer. Doesn't come with a USB cable. I wish it had a built-in print server.
Other Thoughts: Sometimes the minor details make all the difference. Upon receiving a job, the tray where the printed paper comes out automatically opens if it is closed (my last canon printer did not, giving a cannot print message). When copying, it prints as it scans.

WOW what a printer!!
Pros: printer quality, speed, impressive color scans, PC free printing, print wirelessly
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: My wife and I think that this printer is by far the BEST PRINTER we have ever owned!! The picture quality is fantastic especially since my wife loves making scrapbooks. Friends and family are amazed by the picture quality. You can't loose with this WINNER!!

DOA
Pros: Looks pretty.
Cons: DOA. Unpacked it, plugged it in, turned it on, and got an Error 5010 message. Canon tech support confirmed it was a mechanical malfunction and said to return to dealer.
Other Thoughts: I hate, hate, HATE having to pay shipping for a dead on arrival product RMA! I wish I had bought it locally.

Superior Photos
Pros: Easy to set-up. Remarkable print and photo quality.
Cons: Scanning software good be slightly better. Wireless networking on this level of printer should have been included
Other Thoughts: After owning an HP for a number of years, this printer has trumped any previous HP printer I have owned.

Very nice printer
Pros: I really like how this printer has individual ink wells for each color, and two for black (one small to mix with colors and one large one for b/w printing). They all fit into a large "print head" so refilling is theoretically possible. Colors are vibrant, and scanning is quite easy and fast for the high resolution that it can do.
Cons: None yet. It's a nice sturdy printer
Other Thoughts: Make sure you look for the bottom tray. It's not readily evident if you don't read the manual. Would buy again if I needed an all-in-one printer.

Very good printer
Pros: Very good printer. Set up was easy, and everything has worked so far. I haven't tried printing photos yet, but I've used the copier and scanner and am pleased with the quality of both.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: There is a bay under the printer that acts as a paper feed! I found this after owning it for two weeks and wondering where the "other feed" I could switch it to was. Oddly enough, a friend of mine owned a different model Canon printer for over a year and his had one as well, but he never knew until I told him about mine. Guess reading the instruction manual would be a good thing!

Great all around printer
Pros: Makes great photos. Just as good as the store. New Egg is the best!!! Fast shipping and great to deal with!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Not a big ink user compared to the older MP390 we replaced.
