Great Printer
Pros: Easy to setup. Economical. Reliable --works every time.
Cons: Wrinkles envelopes all the time. This is a well known bug in the paper handler. But I never print envelopes, so I don't really care about this issue.

Fast but wrinkles paper
Pros: Fast, Inexpensive, easy networkability
Cons: Wrinkles first page of every print job. Have tried multiple paper weights and to no benefit. Have two of these printers and can not use them in print critical positions. The Brother 6050DN is definetly worth the extra money. Have several of them and never have had a problem.

Great Printer
Pros: Great printer, handles high volume fairly well. I purchased it when it was priced at $500 a year and a half ago, it's really come down in price. Toner and Drums are easy to replace, and you can find a good deal on them with several vendors.
Cons: Curls envelopes - but not to bad, if you print a ton of envelopes, this may not be the printer for you.
Other Thoughts: Stops printing when the toner gets low, but it gives you a flashing warning light first. Some people don't like this, but I personally like this feature, it keeps me from printing streaking print jobs.

Good Low Priced Laser Duplex Printer
Pros: Automatic duplex printing works really well and is really easy to configure in the print settings, very fast single page print out, easy setup, easy toner replacement, driver CD installs with no problem.
Cons: Some large print jobs get stuck in the memory, but they continue eventually. It doesn't have an LED screen which would come in handy for errors. The pages curl quite a bit, especially with large print jobs.
Other Thoughts: May consider getting the wireless one next time HL-5250DW, setting up the wire inside a house is a pain. Wireless one also comes with an LED screen.

Good Fast Printer
Pros: Duplex, Fast, Cheap...
Cons: The toner stops working way before the toner is actually out. Try this link to get full use of the toner! This procedure will probably work on all brother printers.. it works on my 1435 also.

Good but...
Pros: Great print Quality, Fast Print Speed
Cons: Destroys or wrinkles and envelope. Had replaced printer 3 times with brother even used 4 types of envelopes as well as a brand brother recommended. Same Result. If You need a printer to print on envelopes avoid this one

Excellent printer, great price
Pros: This printer is really fantanstic and truly a superb buy for the price. It shoots out 30ppm, and the duplexing is really amazing (first printer I've ever used with duplexing, i.e. being able to print on both sides of the piece of paper). It works great. Even plugging it into a USB 1.0 port caused it to be instantly recognized and work flawlessly. Has not jammed on me yet.
Cons: It would be nice if it held a little more finished/printed paper in the collection bin on top, e.g. it would be nice if it were a little deeper. But it holds about 150 pages or so which is not too bad.
Other Thoughts: For $xxx with free shipping (that was the deal when I ordered it from newegg) it's truly a helluva buy. This works better than any HP I've ever used, and I've always been partial to HP.

Fast, Excellent Text and Graphics, but...
Pros: I bought this printer for a client about 6 months ago. Graphics quality is nothing short of excellent and text is very good as well. It is a very fast printer.
Cons: After a few months of light use my client started experiencing problems with wrinkled paper. It turned out that they were using cheap copy paper. Brother recommends using premium laser paper if wrinkling occurs. My client switched paper (at 3x the cost) and no longer experience wrinkles. The printer does however tend to curl the page, so something does not seem to be quite right with paper feeding/handling.
