Phenomenal
Pros: - Amazing quality - Great Software - Lots of tweaks available for the picky - Easy to setup - Looks amazing - Gold plated - Decent for gaming, great for music, and amazing for producing. - Amazing for high-end entertainment systems
Cons: - Software has already crashed once within the first 2 days - The sound will change randomly. To fix this, change the number of speakers from your current setting to a different one, then back again to reset it.
Other Thoughts: I recommend this product for audiophiles. If you aren't too picky with your audio, then this high-end hardware wouldn't be the best product for you. Just an FYI. :D

Worked Well Until Windows 7
Pros: Vista and below, its an amazing card
Cons: Windows 7 its a joke for gamers
Other Thoughts: I rocked this card for well over a year through Vista. Gaming was superb and the overal quality with both my Razer Megalodons and Astra A40s was spot on. The second i moved to Windows 7 64bit this week, all hell broke loose. The card will do sound for about 5-10 mins during a game, then drop out. Sometimes the sound will come back with a fresh map reload or what not. Now im on the hunt for a new card just for 64bit gaming.. this card cant cut it and HT Omega havent bothered to release new drivers in months. Buyer beware if you are moving to Win7

Fantastic
Pros: It actually works! Sound quality is superior to the Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty that it replaced, particularly the bass which is deeper and less muddy. Excellent surround effects in FPS games. The DAC is excellent, creating a clean analog output signal. Analog conversion is far better than Creative. Digital in and out is very useful. Highly recommended.
Cons: First one was DOA. Newegg was brilliant as usual and the second one is all good.
Other Thoughts: The Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty is a good card that worked reliably. I upgraded to Vista and was faced with all the driver problems I have heard so much about. I went back to XP and the problems continued!!(?) so it had to go. I chose the Claro Plus and am very, very pleased. It was worth all the pain as my system now sounds much better.

Pros: Nice sound ,driver work with all my games where creative driver failed at every turn
Cons: this is not a high end audio card by any means other than the large price as the sound was not better than my 6 year old creative card that I paid less than $60.00,so if you have on board audio need a new card this will work but it way over price ,try looking at other offer in this price range
Other Thoughts: wound have been nice if the digital coaxial would have worked but reading other reviews this seem to be a common problem with this card wish newegg had a better return policy as stocking fee are to high, better to keep the product than try return something

Immaculate!!!
Pros: Easily the best audio card I have ever owned. I had a Striker, which impressed me so much I bought this for my budget pro-audio studio. Works great in openSUSE Linux (ALSA auto-configured) and Windows 7 Ultimate (drivers d'loaded from HT Omega). Others have said it's expensive. I say where can you get quality like this for $175? Optical and RCA SPDIF. Op-Amp output stages. Gold-plated connectors. And the soooooound..... immaculate!
Cons: Won't cook or clean.
Other Thoughts: I have only tried it with Bose Companion 2.1 analog as I have no SPDIF equipment, so I cannot review the surround. ALSA claims all digital works.

HT Claro
Pros: I do not believe I have wrote any reviews on this card. To start with, if your looking for a quality sound card for a older system that is either ATX or mATX and just want something more than what onboard sound offers go with the Claro. HT made a pretty darn good card. Well built without a doubt, drivers are lightweight and pretty simplistic , very similiar to B Gears in terms of software. HT is a company that really takes their product serous, customer service is very good.
Cons: None, really can't find any problems with either software or hardware. Only con for myself is that I wish my Claro could transform itself into a PCIe instead of a PCI.
Other Thoughts: All together this is probably one of the three best PCI sound cards on the market. The Claro can be put alongside the likes of 1. Auzentech x-Meridian (Rare) 2. Asus Xonar, and even the X-Fi Prelude which uses X-fi rechnology.

Great for audiophiles!
Pros: Stellar sound and flexibility! I mostly bought it for music. I have all of my CDs ripped to WAV files, mostly 16/48. I also have an extensive LP collection and this card lets me record them all in 24/96... DVD Audio quality. I have the digital out going to my B&K Reference 30 preamp/processor and the fact that I can up-convert EVERY piece of music to 24/96 to match my B&K is outstanding! It's a VERY inexpensive DAC. I even started to use my PC as a CD transport because of the up-conversion. This thing sounds WONDERFUL! And it's quite nice for gaming too.
Cons: No digital coax out, only TOSlink. But if you're handy with electronics you can make your own, a mini-molex two pin connector is on the board. You get RFI if you have it mounted too close to your vid card.
Other Thoughts: You have to make sure EVERY ancillary feature is turned OFF and your analog speakers are set to 2 LARGE for critical stereo listening of the digital out.

FINALLY! 64-BIT SOUND!
Pros: Previous owner of Auzentech X-Plosion card. Claro Plus+ has clearer, cleaner, and crisper sound. Displays better sound imaging within music and movies. Greater range of highs and lows. Does a good job with subtle sounds all the way to intense explosions. Denon receiver displays DTS/Dolby Digital when detected.
Cons: Pricey, but got it at a good promo price with free shipping. Off topic: I could of lived with my X-Plosion card if and only if the drivers functioned, sound was good but you can definately hear a quality difference in favor of the Claro Plus+.
Other Thoughts: I've owned the Auzentech X-Plosion card (CMI8770) for years and it worked great until my transition from Vista 32 into Vista 64 and now Win7 64. They never got the drivers right. Rear channels never worked, volume controls were spotty within windows and provided software. Even with newer Win7 drivers, still fail. Finally found a card that sounds great and has working 64 bit drivers.

For those who cant decide...
Pros: I do not record, mix, dj or anything of that sort. I use mine for general music listening (mostly FLAC and mp3s), hooked up a PS3, movies (blu-ray & dvd). -stunning sound quality!!! -tech support is quite prompt with responding to inquiries -straight forward software for sound configurations -for the audiophile or the casual gamer
Initially, i was hesitant with buying this card. But after reading several reviews, forums, etc. I decided to buy this sound card. And as i write this review, Im completely satisfied with this purchase. Its really a great card & worth the purchase. There isnt enough i can say about this product. You just have to hear it to believe it!
Intel i7 920 D0 EVGA X58 E760 Classified 12 GB OCZ DDR3 Gold 1600 EVGA GTX 275 HT Omega Claro+ VelociRaptor 300 GB WD Black 750 GB (2) Corsair 620HX Thermaltake V1 CPU Fan (copper) Thermaltake ArmorPlus(Armor+) VH6000BWS Full Tower Dual Display:Asus 25.5 VW266H & NEC Multisync LCD2690WUXi2 Mackie MR5 (2) K
Cons: The only con people might have with this card is the no auto-mute feature when you plug in headphones. But that was advertised. So be wary, if that is important to you.
Other Thoughts: I received my Claro+ last week and had it up and running in no time. Drivers (win7 x64) downloaded straight from their site. Configured, tweaked and producing pristine sounds out of my mackie mr5s. So out of curiosity & for comparisons sake, i purchased a "c-brand xfi titanium fatal1ty". After installation, downloading the drivers & "critical" software (and there is a lot!), tweaking to get it sounding "just right" to me. I still could not achive satisfactory sound quality.Needless to say, the tarnished sound & the unnecessary software that you had to download with the C-brand prompted a removal. I know these are two different cards with different purpose and its probably not fair that i even compare both. But I did cause I do what i want. C-brand is a decent card by its own right, but the Claro+ sounds incredible. The clarity and sound quality is outstanding. Even w/just regular desktop speakers (klipsch 2.1), they perform excellently.

Everything A-OK
Pros: Drivers work on windows 7 64 bit. (Downloaded straight from HT omega's website, don't use the packaged ones) Drivers provide many functions and everything is pretty easily laid out. And on top of all that, it sounds nice.
Cons: Yet to be seen. Maybe that it doesn't support the newest digital surround sound formats (like all that fancy pro logic II and stuff). If anything, it's kind of expensive. But hey, if you want the best, you have to be willing to pay.)
Other Thoughts: This model has a better Op-AMP than any of the lower models. Although I can't compare the quality of the calro + to any of the lower models, I can say that it's definitely better than my onboard audio. Things are just...crisper.
