Battery Issues
Pros: Works well with alkaline batteries.
Cons: Had to send in to Cannon to repair an issue with focus and not working with rechargeable batteries. Seems to only work with "factory recommended" NiMh batteries according to them. I have tried 3 brands of commonly available High capacity rechargeable batteries and all show low battery after 4 or 5 pictures. A common problem online.

Great Camera for the Family
Pros: Right off the bat, I want to make it clear that I am not a professional photographer and this is, in fact, the first digital camera I've ever personally owned.
It takes great photos indoors or out. I really only use it on the "automatic" setting. It also has an "easy" setting, but to be completely honest I don't notice a difference between the two at all. It has quite a few other modes and tons of tweakable settings to make people who know what they're doing more than satisfied.
The video mode is also quite impressive. It records in 640x480 and records sound too.
Just plug the thing into your computer with the USB cable they package with it, and download your pictures onto the computer. Couldn't be easier.
I got a FREE (including shipping) 4GB memory card and a travel bag when I bought it.
Best value for the money IMO and I did some shopping around before I decided on this camera.
Cons: The memory card that comes with the camera is only 32MB... Not a problem if you get the combo deal I got, or if you have a bigger card, but they might as well have not included it with the camera. It's probably only good for a dozen or so photos.
You'll probably need to read the manual to figure out how to work it's advanced features and settings. But that's obviously to be expected.
Other Thoughts: I can't say too much more, because I've only used it on a handful of occasions since I bought it, but if you're like me and want a camera for the family that's not neccessarily "cheap", but undoubtedly a great value, then I recommend it.

Excellent camera!
Pros: Incredibly inexpensive, takes amazing pictures. This has features and functions normally only found in much more expensive cameras. To those few negative interviewers complaining about battery life: No, you didn't try NiMh 2500ma batteries, or you wouldn't be complaining. I bought some NiMh batteries from Walgreen's (of all places), charged them up and they lasted for a week before my vacation, through the vacation and for 2 weeks after. Well over 300 pictures. I finally changed them out because I felt I should, but had no warning from the camera about low battery level. The automatic face-finding feature works great and it takes great pictures in all the "auto" modes, but really stands out in manual mode. As a bonus, it even takes decent video! There is no way an honest person can complain about this camera, especially for 110 bones, along with a 19.99 bundled flash memory AND case, with a 19.99 rebate. I LOVE newegg and their bundle offers!
Cons: None. I LOVE this camera.
Other Thoughts: It might not be as "sexy" looking as some of the thinner models, but it sure feels better in my hands. It just feels right; the batter compartment gives you something to hold on to. Don't get me wrong, it's still REALLY small, just not as thin as other models.

Superb little camera!
Pros: Superb quality pictures, well built, easy to use yet has a sick number of features for those more advanced.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I picked this camera up a couple of weeks ago because I wanted a good camera but didn't need an SLR. I'm no professional photographer by any means so I just needed a basic point and shoot. I decided upon this camera because of the advanced features that I might be able to use as I become more adapt at using it. I've taken about 25 shots so far and the results have just been stunning. I am supremely happy with this camera and would recommend it to anyone looking for a feature packed little camera that also permits great shots to be taken using the "easy" or "Auto" modes. As always Newegg shipped quickly and the item was received in perfect condition.

Nice little camera
Pros: Lightweight. Not a battery hog like other cameras I've owned, and uses regular AA batteries! Takes good pics. Included software seems good, except I us MS Image Suite for editing. Nice display with good menus. Easy setting is good for snapshots but there's lots of other settings to play around with when you get bored.
Cons: The downside of being lightweight is it's all plastic. I'm afraid of dropping it. It feels like it might explode on impact but that's many small electronics. Markings on back buttons kinda tough to see but they're easy to learn. May become obsolete as fast as the technology is moving.
Other Thoughts: Nice size. Small enough to pocket but not too tiny. 5th or 6th digital camera I've owned (7th?) and I like this one a lot! Good feel to it. Cool color. Newegg rules as always.

It's twice as good and half the price
Pros: Takes clear photos. Image Stabilization works.
Cons: Zoom control takes a bit of getting used to, but it works well.
Other Thoughts: This A590 IS replaces our 6-year-old digital camera that was 3.2MP. The new one is literally half the size and half the weight of our old camera. Quality is v. good, too, even in low light. Video and sound are clear enough for home movie, or interview, video e-mail, etc. Rechargeable batteries last a good long time when snapping photos on highest quality setting. Excellent buy for $99 with free shipping. Be sure to also buy a 2GB or 4GB SDHC card so you can hold hundreds of photos and videos, too.

Pros: This camera has no flaws. We shot pictures outdoors/indoors every picture shows very good in color and light and very good pixel for large picture prints
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: My wife and I have used a 5 megapixel camera before this Canon Powershot A590 I will give the name brand of it HP Photosmart M415, we used it on many insurance adjusting photos and videos/pictures of our grand children but we are so proud of this Canon it is the only camera we use now and its battery power last much longer.

Best $100 Camera Period
Pros: Fantastic Camera. If you're looking for a good camera that takes GREAT pictures, there isn't a reason not to get this camera. Most people will find Easy and Auto modes do the job best.
This camera also takes excellent quality video. Only 640x480, but previous camera's I have owned would only shoot Half that, or only allow small 10 second clips in the higher resolution.
Cons: It's a bit slow at shooting, but I wasn't looking for a super speedy camera.
Other Thoughts: For a good Point and shoot, you can NOT get any better. This camera can take phenomenal pictures and video's with ease. All because they aren't trying to shove the camera into a case the size of a pack of gum.
