Finally - a camera that takes decent low light pictures
Pros: Might not be the best camera on the market but if you are looking for a camera that takes excellent pictures in all lighting conditions including the dreadful lowlight = 'low quality' conditions, look no further!
Cons: non-standard battery flimsy micro-usb cover
Other Thoughts: Cons are really a non issue. This camera is great.

Rob is confused
Pros: I think the guy from the previous review is really confused. Most people buy F30 for it's low light perfomance... This is the only P/S camera that rivals many DSLR's with it's 3200ISO. This camera is a gem for lowlight photography, iso range is very usable up until ISO1600, at 800 u see a slight loss of detail, in fact noise isn't visible until iso 1600.
Cons: xD card format, but no big deal.
Other Thoughts: Rob is totally clueless about digital photography... This camera wipes the floor with Canon SD series... Buy it, but only if you know what u're doing and if u can take the advantage oo camera's manual controls. Go to dpreview.com for a detailed review of F30 by a professional phtographer. So far this is the best compact digicam on the market.

2 Months. No rebate yet.
Pros: Nice, cool camera. Great pictures, if you have plenty of light.
Cons: Not for dark, or low light shots. Lots of noise with low light shots. Almost 2 months now, and rebate not here yet. What a shame Fuji! Loses one star because of that. Will only get 2 if 2 more months pass without it.
Other Thoughts: Only buy Fuji if you're fine with the price without rebate. By the way, rebates should be outlawed altogether; Disgusting, how they can scam you with them.

FUJIFILM FinePix F30 Silver 6.3MP Digital Camera
Pros: Great camera. This is my 4th digital and a backup for my Fuji S7000. I needed a small camera to carry in my vest pocket when in the field collecting rocks, minerals, gems, and relics.
I was amazed at the performance and the quality of the photos. I did not think I could get this from such a small package. Also, I did a lot of videos while in the field this weekend. The sound and picture quality was great.
I recommend this product.
Cons: The cover over the USB and charger plug-in is very clumsy & flimsy to work with. It probably will eventually break off and be lost.

Great Mid-Level Camera
Pros: Great Low Light capture, very fast - seconds to grab camera, turn on, aim and shoot beautiful pictures. Plenty of menu features allowing very nice viewing options. Great Battery Life - took days of use before needing a re-charge.
Cons: Only 3X optical zoom, but thats all you get from cameras this size.
Other Thoughts: We also use the camera to shoot videos, and with a 1mb xD card, it shoots almost 16 minutes of highest resolution video footage...very nice added feature.

Excellent camera!
Pros: Bought the camera about a month ago and have already used it on longer shoots. I did a lot of research before buying it: it was between a canon sd600 or this fuji. I chose this mainly because it was cheaper than the canon and because the reviews were glowing. And they were true! The camera is fantastic in almost every regard. 1. It takes excellent pictures in low and very low light conditions. The ISO goes up to 3200! 2. You can set aperture, ISO etc manually if you want to, but I found that the automatic mode takes great pictures in most conditions (see below). 3. You can make movies with audio, and the quality is not bad. 4. The battery is great! We've used the camera for about 2 weeks and it is still showing a full charge.
Cons: 1. xD card - slower, more expensive and proprietary 2. takes somewhat ok pictures when lots of light in automatic mode (but play with the manual settings and/or the scenes and you'll get them bright and crisp) 3. it doesn't have "anti-shake" or real stabilization - however, because you'll need it mostly in low light, with a range of iso of 3200, you don't need to think about it too much; plus, there is a setting that acts as a stabilization mode 4. ergonomically: it's not as thin, although not bad, and the usb cover is a bit difficult to open but come on, these are details that should be overlooked in light of all the pros
Other Thoughts: It's a great camera. I didn't want to buy another camera with an xD card (had a fuji before that was great and an olympus that took horrible pictures inside) but I can't praise this camera enough! (I've recently seen other people taking pictures and how awful their shots looked on their ccd compared to our little camera) - so you won't regret buying it.

Better than anticipated
Pros: After reading glowing reviews of the F30 at sites like dpreview and dcresource I was prepared to be impressed by the camera, but after a fair amount of use and testing the camera exceeded my expectations. The low light performance and battery life are great, as advertised, but its ease of use and responsiveness make it something the whole family can pick up without spending a second looking at the manual, and they can produce great photographs and movies.
Cons: A compact this good means the Nikon D70 won't be coming out of it's spot on the shelf nearly as often!

Awsome
Pros: Great low-light pictures, The natural light mode is amazing, just amazing. Picture quality is really high, no problems seen as of yet with anything involved with this camera, a 512MB card can take over 300 pics, real easy to not need anymore unless you are on a long trip with no access to a computer
Cons: Doesn't come with a case...as of yet, that is all
Other Thoughts: BUY THIS CAMERA, GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!!!

Great small Camera
Pros: It has great range ,from takeing pictures in candle light, to in sunlight ,Has high ISO to 3200 ,even taking pictures at ISO 1600 look great and at ISO 3200 the noise is not as bad as you would think, with 4"x 6" picture.Has manual controls and build in stablizer to help with camera shake It has shutter ,ampreture and white ballance so you can set manual ,Has detailed 2.5" inch LCD viewer, with 230,000 resulotion Has a very long battery life ,up to 580 pictures,It is build very good and has a lot more features that I have'nt mention.
Cons: Could have had more internal memory ,10mb don't go far
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a camera that is almost the same quailty as a SLR then look no farther, ever review I have looked at puts this camera number 1 excepically in low light conditions,If you are just a point and shoot person or a person that likes to set controls manually then you will love this camera.there are cheaper cameras out there ,but you will not get the same quailty ,I have not seen many camers that can take a decent picture at ISO 1600.

Only thing better is in the DSLR range
Pros: Bought this baby after my last pocket friendly digicam failed, and took it with me on a 5 day rock concert road trip which involved a load of live action concert shots. Almost all of them turned out perfectly crisp and clear. Check out humanclone1stgen.deviantart.com for some of the shots I took and you can see the quality.
Cons: Make sure you have a noise filter for those occasional shots that do miss the mark, such as Noise Ninja or Neat Image.
Other Thoughts: Haven't had the chance to play with the new upgrade to this model that has face recognition, but if you don't have the need for that this one should suffice. Definitely one of the top 10 portables for the budding photographer who aren't ready for a DSLR or want the portability.

Nice Camera - Great indoor pics.
Pros: My last camera was a Canon S500 and it was a good camera too - as long as you were outside! inside anything beyond 10feet away became almost impossible to shoot. This cammera is great - very literally just point, shoot, and great pictures 99% of the time and the battery lasts forever! 1. Awesome Battery life 2. Quick startup/focus time. 3. Excellent low light pictures.
Cons: The only real cons with this camera is: 1. Xd card format - pretty proprietary - but cheap and fast so was a minor issue. 2. The battery charger is a corded mess - this however is a minor issue as well because the battery lasts on average 5x what my Canon s500 did!
Other Thoughts: Buy it - for the price it's the best small camera on the market.

King of Castle 6MP camera
Pros: Outstanding resolution, sharper than "ALL" 6, 7, and 8MP cameras from other brands. It's even sharper than 6MP SLR.
Noise level is just unheard of. You can shoot at ISO 400 and it looks better than any Canon shot at ISO 100 or 50. Even ISO 800 is practically noise-free and sharp. At ISO 400 or 800, you don't need image stabilization.
Cons: Superb battery life, I just wish they used AA. Daylight shooting does require some skills.
Other Thoughts: If you don't buy this and choose the popular Canon, Nikon, or Panasonic, you're going to regret it.

Excellent
Pros: Great camera for indoors & low light enviroments. I've heard people say it's not that great in sunlight but It's all bullshitt!
Cons: The Fugi F30 camera is picture perfect no cons!
Other Thoughts: I got this camera at a great price! There's no other place that can compete plus got a free sd card.

If you shoot daylight, dot't buy this
Pros: Very good in low light. Solid and compact, long battery life.
Cons: Not good under daylight. The pictures looked dull. And I did not realize what was missing until compared pictures side by side with ones took from a 3 years old digicam. The lost of details in shadow and bright areas are very significant.

Excellent indoor photography
Pros: All metal body, ISO 3200, excellent indoor photography, tons of features and manual controls, 230,000 pixel screen (most other cameras are 200,000), long battery life, intuitive flash system, and pretty easy to pick up and learn.
Cons: It tends to overexpose a tad when you take pictures in direct sunlight. Counter this by going into manual mode and setting the exposure down to your liking. No viewfinder, but the LCD is excellent in low light. The bundled software was for a MAC only! Weird! Lucky, the USB drivers were on their website and I had Photoshop Elements to import photos.
Other Thoughts: I'm a college graduate in film, and this is my second digital camera. I finally upgraded from a 2 megapixel Sony Cybershot after taking thousands of pictures with it. I did a TON of research and picked the Fujifilm over the C@nen due to its higher ISO abilities. I'm extremely happy with this camera. I've taken almost 300 pictures with it within the first week and have gotten some excellent results. It's smaller than my old camera, so it took me a dozen pics or so to get the hang of holding it. There's still a lot I need to learn about this camera, but soon I'll know exactly what settings to use for whatever setting I'm in. It's never taken a pic at ISO3200 in low light without the flash yet. If so, it's 1600 and it's still printable without too much grain! If you're thinking of getting the upcoming F31FD or this, I'd recommend this while the price is low. Then, learn how to use it rather than taking mediocre images all on auto. Experiment! Highly recommended with a 1 gig memory card!

Great camera, quirky card
Pros: Very responsive, excellent battery life, great picture quality
Cons: More prone to red-eye than my old Canon A70
Other Thoughts: Beware of the xD type M and H card reader issues. Older card readers that have an xD card slot will not recognize it, and may even destroy your card. I ended up buying an Olympus MAUSB-300 to get the pictures downloaded. Camera forums recommend you do not erase or write to the card with your PC.

Best digital camera purchase I could have made
Pros: The manual features are great. So many to use, you'll never get bored with its features. Excellent low-light shooting, macro mode works well, AWESOME video mode, FANTASTIC battery life. I can't stress enough the ease of use of this camera, and of course, it takes excellent photos. Other noteworthy details-nice, bright screen, "solid" feel to camera yet quite compact. Fantasic price for such an above average camera.
Cons: Wish the optical zoom was a little more, wish there was a ISO setting lower than 100, wish there was less purple fringing. These little qualms are really negligible in the long run- you can't get a camera that's "perfect"...but this camera comes the closest!
Other Thoughts: I thought I'd never go back to Fuji again because of its xD card and my dissatisfaction with my previous camera (Fujifilm A340), but as soon as I went to the store to try it out, I knew I had to have it. Fujifilm did an excellent job with this camera.

Stop Searching!!!
Pros: Outperforms, outproduces and delivers simply amazing photos through technological gifts in such an amazingly small package! I have consumer reported for nearly a half year. Played with high-end digital SLR cameras. I've poked and read and exhausted "techies" for information. This camera simply permits you to capture anything in multiple different ways. Know this; ~ This camera eloquently delivers such fine tuned specifics, it's nearly unbelievable. Want to adjust your own shutter speed? - not a problem!. Want to explore taking 2 pics at once and decide on the flash's ability later? - No problem. This camera is quite literally State of The Art at a heck of a price that doesn't seem to fit. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Period! Thank you to Newegg. Their prices were even cheaper than through Military AAFES services by over a $100!!!! With the free 1 Gig memory card... Are kidding? What couldn't be steller! Thank you NEWEGG!!!!
Cons: Please remove this column... there simply are NO CONS! :-)
Other Thoughts: Many people nitpick. I do too. But I simply praise what Fujifilm has compiled here. This is a high-end camera stuck in a small frame with brilliant battery life and absolutely impressive night clarity shots. I would only suggest that the cameras tripod jack location be moved back to the middle of the base vs the left corner. The camera is simply a dream. IT IS true,... after nearly a half year searching, dreams do come true. Thank you Fujifilm for making a star of a product!

Great camera!
Pros: This is by far the best small camera. It produces much better image quality than the competition's small cameras. Great for shooting pics at social events at night. Very responsive camera (fast startup, fast autofocus and quick between shots. Excellent battery life.
Cons: Not quite as small as the ultra-compact cameras. No optical image stabilization.
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a small camera that takes great pics, this is the one.

Definitely Recommended
Pros: Excellent low light capability that rivals my SLR. No need to change from playback to record mode, just half-press the shutter like an SLR. Decent manual modes. Fast boot, fast ready to shoot, and fast shut-off.
Cons: Focus is a little spotty sometimes if you press fully before it locks the focus. Clips in bright conditions. xD memory; it was a pain to find a card reader for my type-H xD card. xD is a little slow compared to SD.
Other Thoughts: I own a Nikon D70 for real work. I had a Canon SD700 IS which got claimed by the ocean. This thing beats the SD700. I don't feel too bad leaving my SLR at home with this thing.

Terrific.
Pros: FIrst charge is still goin about 2 weeks later. Have taken pictures upon pictures and video a bit. Still goin. Was a good buy especially for my first camera... ... Manual settings is all I use.
Cons: Cheap doors. Or they seem that way.. But I already knew about em before I got em so I was prepared.
Other Thoughts: Choose fed ex since ups never leaves package.. Rather pay more.. 3 days shipped like it should be..

Bad for outdoor use, great low light sensitivity
Pros: Everything you've heard about the F30's low light sensitivity is true - it's astoundingly good in low light.
Cons: Unfortunately, this seems to come at a cost - it clips badly in anything resembling normal lighting conditions. Even under a mix of sun and clouds, lots of areas end up maxed out. Setting EV-1 helps somewhat, but that reduces your contrast significantly; pictures taken that way look dull.
Other Thoughts: If you mostly take photos indoors, this is the camera to get. Nothing else comes close. But you'll be very disappointed with its results outdoors in daylight.

MR
Pros: Take good pictures as good as my D200. LCD as bright as D200. Picture quality superb.Just buy one.
Cons: My other cameras to let you people know that I'm into Photography. minolta film cam, nikon d200, Canon rebel xt, fuji S3 pro, Sony p9, Lumix 5 and this f30.
Other Thoughts: Buying guide: LCD brightness? ISO level. Manual setting like DSLR. sensor size. Anti-shake capable. check them all before buying. FUJI means quality. goto dpreview.com and do side by side comparison.

Definately Delivers
Pros: The ability to take 2 picture back to back, one with and one without the flash has turned out to be quite useful. However the image stability is what made me fall in love with the camera. i took a picture of my heatsink fan in my computer spinning and it made it look like it wasnt even moving, but it wasnt blurry o.0
Cons: i had read reviews saying the usb door hinge was bad/annoying but didnt think anything of it until i got it. it is a little awkward but i can get used to it.

Good Camera
Pros: Great Battery life and recycle time. Outstanding photos in outdoor lighting. Color very good. small size is easy to carry in shirt pocket. great for vacations and parties
Cons: Does not work well in low light. used at evening wedding reception with poor results as flash is not very strong. Hard to hold and operate with one hand do to small size and placement of controls. No view finder which takes a little getting used to and in bright light it is hard to see lcd screen
Other Thoughts: It is a great little camera, though not perfect. If you are not taking a lot of low light pictures you will be happy with the results

Probably the best compact camera at the moment
Pros: I own the Canon 10D and 30D DSLRs, and I’ve been through several compact cameras that I've accumulated over the years (Canon and Nikon). The Fuji F30 is not a replacement for my DSLR gear, but I purchased it for the occasions when I wanted a DSLR-like performance in a package that I could carry around without looking like the event photographer.
While other manufacturers focused on more mega pixels, Fuji invested into producing a sensor with greater sensitivity to light. This compact camera can take natural looking pictures in situations where other compacts need a flash. The results are very impressive!
Here are the pros: ISO sensitivity all the way to 3200 (even through noisy at that ISO, no other compact can come close); little to no noise at ISO 800 (also first for a compact); useful manual mode; good macro; excellent battery life; powerful flash (even though you’ll mostly use it as a fill-in); fast! ..also, the underwater case is reasonably priced.
Cons: Fuji’s xD memory format is quite inferior to industry standard SD/CF formats. I know a few people who opted for Canon just because they already had SD.
Other Thoughts: Don't dismiss it because of the xD memory card format. It’s very unlikely that you’ll regret purchasing this camera if you’re on the market for a SLR-like compact.

Amazing Pictures
Pros: AMAZING picture quality. Easy to use. Easy-to-use buttons. Great battery life. Colors are PERFECT on photos. Good in high and low-light conditions. Fast refresh speed between photos. Good at focusing. In other words, EVERYTHING is WONDERFUL!
Cons: No viewfinder. (Normally, this would be bad for battery life, but it wasn't. The RECHARGABLE batteries lasted an entire day w/o recharging even though it was on the whole day and I took more than 200 photos and 10-15 minutes of video!).
Other Thoughts: Just an overall great camera. In Auto mode, it takes amazing shots. It also allows you to change just about every possible setting. I strongly recommend this camera.

Best Low Light Ultra Compact
Pros: Best low light compact camera for the money on the market today. This camera will take pictures where other cameras could only hope!. Battery life is simply awesome and the overall build of the camera shouts quality!!. You simply can't go wrong with this camera. If your lookig for strictly point and shoot with the same low light picture quality you can save a hundred bucks and buy the F20.
Cons: Slihtly large than som competors because of battery size but still small enogh to carry in your pocket. Wish it used SD instead of XD memory but I can live with it.
