Rating + 5 Awesome camera

Pros: Takes amazing quality pictures. any kodak camera i have owned have been able to take amazing photos.

I was looking at the nikon d60 but it was just out of my budget. then i found this one at sam's club and fell in love with it.

Cons: Doesnt come with a cd cable... kodak wants $30 i just switched to my rechargable energizer

the video quality isnt what i would call HD mine seems to be a tad grainy
wasnt free

Other Thoughts: Found this for $209 at sams club but they want $60 for a 4gb sd card so purchase those here @ the egg

Rating + 5 Very Nice

Pros: Looks good, easy to hold, nice form factor. Pictures look amazing if you take them right. The HD video 1280x720 is as good as some camcorders (with proper lighting).

Cons: Video compression could be better, 1 minute of HD video is going to cost you 100 MB... O_O

Auto-mode can turn out some strange pictures every once in a while, so take two shots if it is important.

Other Thoughts: All around a nice camera, and worth the money I'd say.

Rating + 5 Great Camera!

Pros: Great quality pictures, 12x zoom, electronic viewfinder, good click to capture time, feels solid and well-built, price.

Cons: Battery life, sound quality on video

Other Thoughts: This is a great camera for the price, takes great pictures, plenty of features. I cycle through my rechargables really fast though. Just a warning, the case in the package deal is not nearly big enough to fit this camera in.

Rating + 5 In Love

Pros: This is a nice camera! takes wonderful pictures. what i like most is hd video on it. image stabilizer works like charm on videos.

Cons: got mine with an 8gb sdhc card. If you want to take videos, 16gb would be perfect for it fore hd 720p. An hd video 2 min 30 sec long took up 230MB. Wow!

Other Thoughts: Really hope my dog doesn't ever eat it

Rating + 5 Great camera!

Pros: WHeres do you start? I had a Z740 and like WOW this thing is like excellent. I takepictures of my kittys in action and only a few bad photos out of maybe 500 pictures. SO mant things to play with cmight take days to figure it all out. Excellent pictures, image stabilization, good burst and clear videos at all 3 settings. I use a 80x and a150X S/D cards and no stutter or slow problems in playback. FUn to use the"picture from video" feature, also can get a 9 up "action" print as well. PAnoramic is too fun, especially at the racetrack! BIG LCD back screen, and 5 settings for brightness, very clear as is the"viewfinder".

Cons: Takes rechargeable batterys or a"lithium" cell. Not common things, i have 3 sets of 2500 NIMh AA cells (made by KODAK)and NONE will work on this. NO battery charge icon ONLY a"low battery" and on my camera it shuts off before the icon comes on.

Other Thoughts: I have tried the"rechargeable" CRV-3 1500 mah baterys and works GREAT, also a 1900 Mah Lithium-ion and have taken 2x as many photos with the lithium cells. Check out rymes with OBOY for rechargeable batterys, can get a charged and SEt of batterys for what Kodak charges for 1 battery.

Rating + 5 Great Camera

Pros: Optical Image Stabilizer makes this camera easy for anyone with the shakiest hands, A feature missing on the cheaper kodaks. Way better than a digital stabilizer. Beautiful Display, fast reaction times, great night shots, manual mode is easy and fun. Takes AMAZING videos with video optical zoom, and the stabilizer works during video mode too!

Cons: Its face tracking is a bit poor. Some sony cameras will pick out 5 faces easily, this one struggles with one, but with straight on pictures can get two or three. Under anything but a straight on portrait it wont get the face recognition, however its default center focus function works fine anyways. The HD-Video (720p) resolution lost sync with audio, i think its probably because my memory card isn't fast enough and i need a better one.

Other Thoughts: The 640x680 video is smooth and the sound is great. It takes better video than my Sony Digital Handycam that I payed $500 for a few years ago.

For the price nothing can beat it. I can take over 300 pictures on one lithium CRV-3 Battery. I paid $50 more for mine, its a steal at this price.

Rating + 5 Great Camera For This Price Range

Pros: Good glass lens- excellent.
Manual controls available when desired.
Great pictures in Automatic mode.

Cons: Not a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera, but they cost a lot more anyway.

Other Thoughts: I actually own the older Z710 model. They keep improving it, mainly by adding more megapixels. Look for the 'Z' in the part number.
This is an excellent camera to learn on while taking great prictures. Later, if you want to, you can move up to a DSLR camera, but you will still want to keep this one.

Pros: Excellent Price !!!
Superb Optical Zoom, Good Resolution, Simple and Intuitive Controls, SD Card Compatible(Most Used), HDTV Output, Lighter than Most regular SLRs, Excellent Battery Compatibility (AA), Image Stability is Good

Cons: No hot shoe (external flash attachment), Must buy a Rechargeable battery separately

Other Thoughts: This camera was a present to me but if I had to choose where to buy it, I would buy it at Newegg. The Price is the lowest I've seen!!!! Newegg Delivers it at Light speeds too!!!!

Rating + 5 Great Camera

Pros: Awesome zoom, image stabalize, high mega pixel

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: As soon as I got tis camera I started testing its limits. How good could the image stablize be..I took a picture of my 5 year old running, while shaking my hands hard and fast and she still came out crystal clear. This camera has loads of options and I am looking forward to testing and experimenting with each of them.

Pros: Great pictures and easy to use. Has all the features you could want with a nice bright display. I loved Kodak's colors.

Cons: Doesn't come with rechargeable so you'll have to spend additional money.
The FREE camera case that newegg gave with the camera doesn't even come close to fitting. Do you guys check these thing out?

Pros: Real happy with this camera. The price was fair. The camera works real nice. Easy to use camera. Seems well built, and runs smooth. A lot of features to work with, yet easy to learn. Images are great, nice and clear.

Cons: The Battery is none re-chargable. A down fall for those who have a doc. The view finder is digital, not an option I would pick if I had choice.

Other Thoughts: I can't comment on the video side of the camera. This being my third Kodak. Started back with the DC40 and now this unit. As happy as ever with the Kodak line.

Rating + 5 Outstanding Pictures

Pros: Very easy for the non-pro. With outstanding pictures. If you want a camera that is easy to use and loaded with features this is it. It's easy for the beginner and lets an experienced user make adjustments as they want. As your skill increases this camera grows with you. LOVE THE ZOOM!!

Cons: Does not include rechargable batt. or charger.
Still worth the money!

Other Thoughts: Still give this camera a five even considering no rechargable batt or charger. You can find excellent deals on aftermarket batts and chargers under $40 bucks shipping included.

Rating + 4 Great Price!

Pros: It has everything you could need, even manual settings! Great images and great video quality.

Cons: Videos are recorded in quicktime format. This is a huge mistake on kodak's part when editors such as movie maker don't accept the .mov format. You will have to buy Quicktime Pro to convert/edit them.
For an IS camera, where is the great image stabilizer. A little movement in the photo and its all blurry. Smart scene will not help. When i use sports mode, the is works great but usually takes lousy quality photos.
Comes with no rechargeable battery. The battery and recharger cost 60 dollars all together. This thing eats up AA batteries and kodak doesn't even support rechargeable nimh batteries..

Other Thoughts: Even though I have alot of cons. It is still a very awesome camera.

Rating + 5 defintely a good deal

Pros: Most of the features you would expect from SLR cameras, but it's still easy to use point-and-click. Incredible optical zoom, head tracking, and the good image quality bundled with the low price tag makes this a great buy.

Cons: Sometimes the autofocus fails if zoomed in max or near-maximum. Software included is medicore at best, so I ended up switching back to Picasa.

Other Thoughts: Buying this camera practically requires you to purchase rechargable battery pack from canon ($39 for the battery + $41 for the charger), or equivalent (the Lenmar pack included in the bundle purchase just aint cutting it, need bit more than 2000 mAh).

Rating + 5 Best value per dollar

Pros: -12x optical zoom
-Ability to add filters / external lenses with the Kodak 55mm lens adapter
-Full manual control
-Low noise (although it tends to have aggressive noise reduction applied at higher ISOs
-Panoramic shots (2 or 3 pictures combined in to one)
-Fast start-up time
-Can take great shots in low light conditions
-Very straight-forward menu system
-Kodak Perfect Touch : enhances pictures by adjusting exposure and making colors more vibrant

Cons: The one thing that bothers me about this camera, is the fact that it doesn't have a custom/manual white balance! The presets are alright most of the time, but not ALL of the time. Even worse, the auto white balance seems to work only under optimal conditions (outside, sunny, natural lighting). When you take pictures inside, they tend to have an orange cast to them, unless you switch to the "tungsten" preset (assuming you're not using the flash). Most of Kodak's competitors offer this, and most photographers regard this as essential! In addition, there is slight vignetting of the corners when at full wide. You need to zoom in a tad to eradicate this.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the camera is amazing! I purchased the adapter tube and some filters to help compensate for the lack of a custom/manual white balance. You might want to consider buying one if you shoot in odd lighting conditions, such as on a very overcast day or under fluorescent lighting, etc. If you're looking for more control over your photos, but don't want the high price of a DSLR, this would be your camera!

Rating + 5 Best camera!

Pros: This camera takes rally good pictures. It's not so small that you lose it in your pocket. It has a handgrip so that you can steady it better than others. Excellent design. Looks good too! Not enough room to write all the pros. It even came with a piece to fit it onto my Kodak printer that came with my old one.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I owned a Kodak C633 before I bought this one and I thought it took pretty good pictures. I was wrong, because compared to this one it was awful. I absolutely love this camera. I reccommend it to everybody that is looking to buy a new digital camera.

Rating + 5 Excellent Overall Camera

Pros: I love the feel of the camera, and the way all of the buttons are positioned for very easy "navigation". Crystal clear pictures. I highly recommend this camera for the price.

Cons: Like other's have said, there is no rechargeable battery that comes with it, but the camera itself makes up for that one. Just go buy a rechargeable battery pack separate. For being a digital camera and not a camcorder this is expected, but the audio isn't the best if you use the video record function, but thats no big deal either.

Other Thoughts: I bought this camera to take sports pictures for a newspaper, and It took great basketball/moving pictures.

Rating + 5 BATTERY ISSUE PLEASE READ

Pros: Excellent camera for the price. Period!

Cons: I bought the 712 model and my neighbor bought this one. New Egg and all its customers ROCK! and have had great luck avoiding problems reading these reviews so its my turn to return the favor. NOWHERE! in the manual did it say the rechargeable "AA" batteries had to be higher than 2100mAh. I had rechargeables lower than that & it kept showing dead batteries even right out of the charger. Took 2 returns & 2 tech calls to Kodak b4 finding that out. Put in 2500mAh and it runs like a champ!! Both of them his and mine!

Other Thoughts: Felt the need to share that tidbit of info and hope it stops someone from going through days of aggravation like I did. Other than that little hiccup these cameras take the most amazing pictures that even my Sony cant compete with. Was thinking of knocking off an egg for the slightly vague manual but these cameras doesnt deserve it.

Pros: This camera has a ton of great features and I used this carmera at a local school event on the first day and tok great pictures. I would recommend this camera to anyone. If your looking for a great general purpose camera, this is the one to get.

Cons: The camera doesn't come with a rechrgeable battery. No case is provided and the software is really bad.

Other Thoughts: After installing the software my computer wouldn't let me connect the camera and open it but after uninstalling the Kodak software then it worked great and the pictures came out phonomonally.

Rating + 5 Great Camera w/great features

Pros: As I started to read the manual online this camera has a lot of great features. Very few cameras out there let you take panoramic pictures. You can take 2 to 3 pictures and the camera will automatically combine the images to give you a great shot. The optical zoom is on of the higher on the market and the image stabilazation works very well. This is my 2ND Kodak and the 1st one lasted for years. I highly recommend this camera for everyone who wants great features for a great price.

Cons: No rechargable battery included.

Other Thoughts: This camera can record in HD and all of you photos can be viewed on a HDTV. The electronic view finder is a plus so if you are taking pictures in the sun and you can't see you screen youcan switch to the view finder and still take a great picture. I have done so more research and have found that you can get more recording time with a 8GB SDHC flash card which can be picked up here on Newegg.com for a great price.

Rating + 5 Great Point & Shoot.

Pros: This camera makes really good photos. It is very easy to use, set up is fast and you can expect to begin using it right out of the box. The controls are very user friendly. The 12x lens works great, is reasonably fast and very sharp. Focus works very good, does not hunt for focus point. 8 MP sensor is plenty for 99% of our shots, I usually shoot at 5 MP with very good results. Auto flash works great. The menus on the camera are easily found, user friendly. It fits the hand comfortably, nice size but not one that will slip into your pocket.

Cons: A few things, Kodak should provide a complete instruction manual with the camera, they do not. You have to access the manual on the Kodak web site and either read it on your monitor or do a lot of printing. They also should provide a re-chargeable battery. The camera will only shoot in JPEG image, OK for most but of lesser quality. The camera is very light and feels fragile, not for kids to use. Still, a lot of camera for the money.

Other Thoughts: A really comfortable easy to use digital camera that takes great photos. A 2G SD card will handle over 1,000 photos at medium resolution and 5MP, all for less than $20. Hard to beat that. I bought this for my wife, she loves the ease of use.

Rating + 5 awsome buy it now!! i love it

Pros: i bought a hp photosmart 4.0megapixel camera last christmas for my wife and spent $220.00 on it and it was the worst camera ever you should see all the pics of my family, theyre all blurry. thats wasted memories to me. the ccd took sooo long to take the pic it sucked. i have had an original kodak brick 1.0megapixel camera i bought when digital cameras first came out and it took great pictures almost everytime. my sister just bought a new fuji slr camera and spent $500.00 on it and she dosnt like it now becasue of all the hard features and it is difficult to use. i have had soo much luck with kodak and they last for years and as far as i can remember i grew up with my pictures and my parents and their parents using kodaks. this is the way it should be.

Cons: none buy it now dont hesitate.

Other Thoughts: i love the screen size its huge you can see every detail plus you can switch to the eyehole and its a screen in there too. it runs off of three types of batteries a rechargeable that it dosnt come with, 2 AA's or a kodak propriatary battery which it comes with. it looks rechargeable but it isnt. i moved the camera crazy fast and kept clicking away and every single time it took a perfect picture. thats awsome. while moving the camera across the room and clicking and no blur?? duh thats what you want without paying $500.00!!!!
