Best quality video and still camera combo
Pros: I researched video cams for almost a year before finding this one. Twice before, when I tried to buy it, Newegg had sold out. Other places had it, but at a higher price and unknown service. Newegg notified me when it came in again, and I jumped on it. This camcorder is unbelievable! Outside, the colors are realistic. Auto focus works great, dual speed zoom is easy to use, the controls are all easily reached, very comfortable to hold and use. Indoors, late afternoon, with 2 west-facing and 1 north-facing windows, videos are fine, with very little noise in the shadow areas – much better than expected. The still camera function, ( which only works with a Secure Digital card installed, and is NOT INCLUDED ), is as good as most people will ever need. At the highest quality, the 512 mb Corsair SD card, also ordered for Newegg, will hold over 400 images. On a 32 inch television, these pictures look fantastic.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: You can transfer still images to your PC through the included USB cable. To send your video to your PC, you will need a Firewire cable ( also NOT INCLUDED ). Panasonic, and their 3CCD user forum says that the camera needs to use a 4pin to 4pin cable, which is fine for laptops, but most PC’s have a 6pin jack. Other users have said not to use a 4pin to 6pin cable. Instead, use the 4pin to 4pin with an adapter to maintain the continuity of the connection. The included video editing software has some nice features and is easy to use. You should have XP with SP2 for best results. The included narration mic and the remote control are great, too. To play back your video, just plug the camera into your TV with the AV cable, sit back and pick up the remote. Other single CCD camcorders may have infrared or night shot capabilities, but unless you’re doing surveillance, you won’t use those features anyway. The GS150 provides the best quality video and still camera combo for the money. The newer re

Great Low End Cam
Pros: This camera is small and compact but shoots video with the same quality as much more expensive cams. I do professional shoots so this cam is great for the small jobs. The cam doesn't look like a pro cam so I get less lens lice, I can be shooting in a crowd and look like a tourist instead of a journalist which is a great advantage.
Cons: No built in lighting but then adding lighting is pretty simple.
Other Thoughts: Great for amateurs and pros alike. Easy to use, great quality video. If you want quality stills, buy a good still camera.

Pros: Great video and pictures. It's a great deal For the price that you will be paying in newegg. Other places have the same camcorder for more than $xxx.
Cons: Some light problems, but nothing critical.
Other Thoughts: Thanks Newegg.com

Great lil camcorder
Pros: Great picture quality. Nice size, fits in your palm. Nice feature set
Cons: Low-light quality... but for this price, what camcorder has great low-light?
Other Thoughts: not the greatest camcorder, but perfect for beginners or occassional video takers.

Nice Camera.....but
Pros: After months of research this was the camera I choose. Several internet review sites out there put this camera as their #1 choice for this particular price range. The camera works really well. I have used the camera indoors extensively in low lighting to tape my brand new baby girl. I then transfer the footage to my computer for editing and I have no experienced any quality problems. Even in low light situations. Compared to my friends JVC camera there is a very noticable difference in the crispness of the color quality.
Cons: I have no cons for the actual camera or Newegg however please see my other thoughts.
Other Thoughts: This is not the fault of Newegg in any way so this isn't directed at them but rather at Panasonic, the company behind this camera. At the time I purchased this camera Panasonic was offereing a rebate. I filled out all the forms and immediately sent them in after recieving my camera from newgg. 4 months later I recieved a letter from Panasonic claiming that I had taken to long to send in the rebate form(which makes no sense because I supposedly had 30 days to do it and was sent before that) So with that in mind this is sadly the last Panasonic product I will ever be purchasing. Although I can recommend the camera I cannot recommned the company behind it as they are fraudulent when it comes to dealing with their customers. I hope Panasonic enjoys the fifty bucks they scammed from me because it is the last dime they will see from me for the rest of my life.

Sick little Camera
Pros: I'm the first one to give this thing 4 stars so I'll try to refute this claim. First, the good stuff-- It is super small, looks great, takes beautiful video, is relatively inexpensive, is of excellent quality, and is certainly one of the best palmcorders out there. I was also pleasantly surprised with the intuitive and easy to use controls, not to mention the one handed operation. In short, this thing rocks.
Cons: There are some minor caveats which are expected for a camera of this price range. First, the digital still pictures are hardly stellar, especially in low light. They seemed just a bit grainy in all conditions. The video is also a poor performer in low light(small lense you know).
Other Thoughts: Looked around for quite a while before buying this camera, and I am quite happy with my decision.

Super Cam for Low Price
Pros: I am using this camera for a news gathering class in college. The camera performs equally as well as the much more expensive shoulder mount camera by Panasonic. The picture quality is fantastic for such a small unit. Easy to carry, works best on a tripod to keep it steady.
Cons: Digital zoom is not a good feature, makes the pixels larger and ruins the quality of the video.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this camera to anyone who needs high quality video at a low price.

Buy it... Love it...
Pros: Great color, with rich saturation. Works great in all but the lowest light conditions. Good battery life and fits nicely in the palm of your hand. Variable speed zoom was easy to get used to and makes for good control. The joystick for menu selections works very slick.
Cons: Forget optical zoom. Picture becomes too granular and image stabilization can't keep up.
Other Thoughts: Built-in 2.3M still camera works great and is icing on the cake.

Excellent quality for price
Pros: Small, lightweight and very easy to use. With 3 CCD's, the digital quality is excellent. Compare this model at $x with other 3 CCD camcorders to realize the true value.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Low light usability is limited without an aftermarket light. This was clearly stated in the tech specs, so no surprise here. Make sure you purchase tapes, extra batts and a case.

small & compact
Pros: It has all the features that I wanted... plus at a good price with 3CCDs, you can't expect more at this point. I'm really happy using the camera for my semi-pro work. It's so tiny that you can easily hold it with one hand for many minutes.
Cons: The screen is a bit small, but very very clear, and it seems to be the largest possible screen that could be fit upon such a tiny camera.

Excellent video, stills just okay
Pros: Excellent video quality, struggles a bit in low light, but on par with video 8 low light. Excellent stereo sound, light in weight. Joystick menu controls are easy to use once you get the hang of it. The auto settings work fine for casual point and shoot stuff. Can take photos with a flick of a button, but not up to par with a real digital camera.
Cons: Wish lens was a bit longer...10x is a bit lacking, not really wide and not really telephoto. Comes with USB cable but NOT firewire cable. Perhaps not as good in low light as a single chip camera, but that's not what you buy a camera like this for. Also, this stills this camera takes is just so-so, they look like video stills, not anything you'd blow up and hang on your walls...good for party snaps and that's about it.
Other Thoughts: Be aware that some pana-cam user sites have complained that early versions of this camera exhibit "red horizontal lines" in low light shooting conditions. I have seen this artifact in my camera and it is NOT a big deal in my opinion...it happens for a split second while the camera is adjusting to a new, low light shot. It would be nearly impossible to catch unless you're looking for it. I don't know if it's worse in other versions of this cam, but in my opinion the "red line issue" is a nit-pick nuisance, not a deal breaker by any means.

Exellent
Pros: Great image, the 3ccd work really great I see colors better through the cam than the real life and carry it is like a glove you can't feel it to much
Cons: the low light but I say really low lights, But I buy it for my work and i carry good lamps so I don't have that problem
Other Thoughts: For home and University Films Production Works great. 3CCD At low price, Dude!!

Excellent all around performer...perfect for the married with children man.
Pros: I researched camcorders for months. This camcorder has exceeded my expectations. The video is superb. Maybe not as nice as a $xxxx cam but for what this costs ya can't beat it with a stick. Stills are very acceptable in my opinion but then again I'm not a hi-rez kind of guy. The colors are perfect and the stills are more than adequate. I would reccommend this camcorder to anyone who has champagne tastes on a beer budget. It does what it supposed to do very well.
Cons: Low light performance is not bad, wish it were better. Put on a 3-watt camcoder light, much improvement.
Other Thoughts: Buy one...from Newegg of course. Shipping, service, price ya can't beat the Egg.

Great camera!!
Pros: The 3 CCD's provide vivid color in this small compact camcorder. the camera is erogonamically designed and feels good in your hand. I looked at the PV GS-250, which cost about $xxx more, but the 3 main extra items that it had versus this camera I figured I could live without and save money.
Cons: Images in Low light is not that great, for a 1 lux camera, but with sufficient lighting the color is beautiful.

Nifty Little Camera
Pros: Very intuitive to use, love the thumb joystick. Great pictures and video. Very easy setup to get the camera running.
Cons: Not very good in low light situations. Wish they would include the firewire cable. Manual leaves much to be desired.

Good but not great
Comments: The camera takes great footage with adequate light levels. However if you want good pics in your average living room light then you might think again. However, given the right amount of light this camera takes the best footage I've seen. The audio pickup is adequate as well.

Comments: This is a good camera, I have used it in low light conditions and that is where its performance is worst. It was pretty bad, but the room was very dim. In regular household situations it performs fine, and the outside shots are spectacular. But the best part is that it is a 3CCD camera for less than $xxx. There is also a mail in rebate for $xx that you can find on the internet which makes this camera a steal.

Came back to newegg for other purchases
Comments: This was my first order with newegg and I was happy with the price and the prompt delivery of my order. The panasonic PVGS-150 is a pretty good camcorder, the only negative thing to say about it is the low light performance, it does a decent job on 60 lux and above, but below 60 lux it is not so good. Overall, good product and good customer service from newegg. I came back again to place a second order as they have the best prices and the latest gear in town.

excellent vid cam
Comments: My wife and I were looking for a DV camera to start recording family events. The PVGS150 is an excellent camera. The 3CCD picture is crisp and clear. I'm not all that impressed with the audio, but I've never heard of a vid cam with excellent audio and a add on mic can be bought. The camera is also small. Small enough to smuggle into college football games inside a pair of cargo shorts. Take that Big Ten!

I've had it 5 months! Fantastic camera!
Comments: I've owned the GS150 for about five months, and it's fantastic. The 3ccd technology is incredible, and it is even more incredible to find this technology in a consumer product. I was involved in television production in college in 1991, and back then the 3ccd cameras we used cost about 10K. A note about miniDV: ALL miniDV records at 25mb/s. So if you spend 5K on a Canon XL2, the amount of data recorded is no more than on the GS150. The miniDV spec is the same no matter what. Where you will see a difference with the Canon is in the zoom lens and low light capabilities. But if you shoot in a well lit studio with a set focal length, you cannot tell the difference between the footage the two cameras produce; and yes, I have access to an XL2 and I've tried it.

Excellent camcorder
Comments: After researching camcorders for a couple months I found this camcorder struck the best balance between features, picture quality, size and ease of use. So far I have been very impressed with the picture quality, very acceptable for playback on a HDTV as far as midrange camcorders go. Very easy to use and fits in your hand nicely. Highly reccomend!!

Excellent Camera
Comments: I upgraded to this camera from a Sony Hi-8 that's about four years old. The difference is amazing; much clearer picture and audio capture is excellent. It's very small, but not so small that you can't keep your hands on it while shooting. Had to deciude between this and the 250 but figured the few extra options in the 250 weren't worth the extra cost. Highly recommended and got it in two days from New Egg!!
