Great graphics, but does not make up for gameplay
Pros: The game, as you could guess, is fantastic looking. The graphics with all the shading effects, enthusiast settings and motion blur is pretty amazing looking. The game play has some interesting ideas, such as the ability to use your only energy in whatever way you need at the moment. The campaign is pretty good too.
Cons: That is sort of where the game ends. Yes it is the benchmark game for all those PC peeps out there, but does that make it good? Not really :\
First off, the difficulties are absolutely terrible. Everything below delta is very easy. I played through the game on hard first time around and it was just the easiest thing I may have ever played. When I tried the game on Delta difficulty, it was completely ridiculous. The AI suddenly seems to break the stupid computer barrier and finally start getting wise to your tricks.
I hated the fact that the AI always knows where you are as long as your not cloaked. So even if you were in thick bushes or behind a huge tree in a forest, they pretty much know your there instantly.
Would be cool if they made strength mode make your health regen faster so you can actually use melee when you run out of bullets. At least this would make the idea of meleeing anything feasable...
Other Thoughts: I am sort of disappointed that they made the graphics so inefficient. Some modern games like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge manage to be fantastic looking and not obscenely difficult to run. I think they should have spent more money making the game have efficient visuals so you don't need a tri-SLI and OC your whatever to run the game at its full settings.
However... I must admit the most fun thing I had done in the game had to be going through the game on easy mode using only melee (unless I had to use guns to do something). I had hours of fun doing that, haha!

Crysis
Pros: Game kicks total a##!but you need the system to handle it.You need way over the system requirements to fully enjoy the game.I have never played a game so detailed and action packed. If you have a top of the line High performance gaming pc with really good cooling you will have a lot of fun with it.This game is well over worth your money. Is now my favorite game. This game really shows it pays off not cheaping out on your rig.
Cons: The recommended requirements on the game are way too low compared to what you really need. Not a crummy little 9800 gt or gts.you need the big gun graphics cards for it.And don't listen to "Oh it looks just as good on low" please. This game will lock up your whole system if your graphics cards are not cooled properly while playing it.If you can't afford liquid cooling stick a case fan next to the graphics card or cards in the case with double sided-tape.or open your case up and face a huge fan towards it.I have a lot of buddies that bought this game and couldn't play it.If you are not even close to over the recommended requirements don't buy it because you will waste your money.MAKE SURE YOU ARE WAY OVER THE RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS!!!
Other Thoughts: I recommend you play this on Dx9.the game is a lot smoother on Dx9 than DX10.DX10 has more eye appealing textures but it's not worth it.it is a hell of a lot slower. And set the QUICK SUIT OPTIONS on in the game that also speeds up the game. Also make sure you go online and find out what resolution settings and game settings are best for your rig. This will make the game the way it was meant to be played. @Q9550 Core 2 Quad processor.8 gigs of SLi 4-4-4-12 patriot viper Ram.XFX Nvidia 780i three way SLi mother board.SLi Galaxy Hybrid 9800 GTX+ x2. 900w ABS high performance SLi compatible. 1000 gigs of seagate barricuda hard drive space.8x Blue ray drive with lightscribe,cd rewritable,DVD multi recorder. With three antec case fans.

Crysis
Pros: Great Graphics good game play and runs smoothly even with low frame rates.
Cons: Too short a little buggy and puts some serious stress on your system.
Other Thoughts: Game was good but not great, visuals are stunning but you have to have a monster of a computer to get decent frame rates.

Pure Adrenaline
Pros: Graphics, you've heard enough about that
After beating this game, I realized that it does two things better than any other shooter: presentation and immersion. The storyline was, honestly, cliched and boring. However, because of the way the game was presented, coupled with the graphics, you somehow get sucked into it. I was completely there fighting off *spoiler* aliens *spoiler* with the rest of my soldier buddies, getting a downed pilot out of a helicopter. I haven't felt that way about a game in years. The graphics probably have a lot to do with this immersion. The game is also playable at much lower framerates. This has to do with the way the action is blurred instead of getting choppy when the framerate dips. I'm sure my fps dipped into the teens but I didn't notice at all.
two words: dumpster assasin
throwing heavy things at people with the strength power on kills people, hilarity ensues.
Cons: I was a little dissapointed with the suit;s abilities. Gamespot claimed "this game makes you feel like a super hero", a classic pretend fantasy. However, the suit really just give you a little bit of an edge over the koreans to survive. Too much of a gap between powers. If you want to uncloak and then clock somebody in the face with your gun it sometimes doesn't work because of the delay between powers.
Other Thoughts: I was luckily able to run every thing on very high (you can do this in xp, requires some .cfg tweaks) with 33 fps avg in the benchmark demo. Some of the people here claiming to be able to run 35 fps constant on the rigs they have are more than likely mistaken. 3 years after this game came out, I bought myself a core i7 rig and still couldn't handle the most intense parts above 20 fps. As mentioned above, it doesn't feel that way because of the way the motion blur works in the game.
my rig: core i7 920 3 gb ram (can't remember speed) gtx 260

Awesome graphics
Pros: Amazing graphics better than any other game currently available. on my computer with a nvidia 9800gt graphics card and intel core 2 duo processor i get 60fps with some settings on high and some on low with no antialiasing. I have played it on a computer with a gtx260 and it could run maxed out settings with 4x antialising at perfect 60fps. to complete objectives you need to use the nanosuits various powers and understand the weapons different functions. You must be very strategic and sneak around especially on delta difficulty which i enjoy a lot.
Cons: the gameplay is a little repetitive.
Other Thoughts: If you decide to get this game (you should) play on hard or delta because it is a lot more realistic and fun. In my opinion there are better games out there like the half-life series but this game is still a must have for all avid gamers like me :)

Great game
Pros: Great FPS
Cons: buggy in Vista due to DX10 must run in DX9 mode especially the last level
Other Thoughts: Install patches and run in DX9 mode when using Vista. Open Games and right click on Crysis then click DX9 it will save you a lot of grief. last level was giving me fits with crashes no matter what settings I chose. Researched and game across the DX9 mode fix and it played perfect.

Best game so far.
Pros: Best graphics around. Great game play. FUN!!!! I seriously recommend the game
Cons: People complain about the system specs, but not everyone needs to play it on high settings.
Other Thoughts: People talk about it being to easy, yea any game is easy on medium to easy difficulty just kick it up a notch and it makes it all that much better. iCandy
Pros: Beautiful Scenery. Everyone who sees it oohs & aahs. Lots of Action. Bit of Variety due to multiple different vehicles & missions along the way. Good for the stalker-type as well as the guns-blazing type.
Cons: Will need to dial down graphics on less capable systems.
Other Thoughts: Generally play RPG's rather than FPS's but I have an ATI 4870/1Gg & recently upgraded to 24" 1080p LCD Monitor so I got this solely for the rumored graphics. The rumors are true; this game looks amazing. I may actually try to finish the game to see all it has to offer.
Running: ECS KA3-MVP mobo, AMD64x2 3.2G (+6400), 4G OCZ (ddr2/800), RAID HDD's, & above mentioned card.
With MAX settings @ 1920x1080 getting 30-50 FPS consistently, but does bog down to acceptable low 20's in Really heavy combat.

Great Game!
Pros: Too many to list...
Cons: the game is VERY VERY buggy just google Crysis Bugs
At the end of the level Relic, the VTOL aircraft won't come to pick me up. Sometimes the Main Menu GUI glitches and you can't click on certain buttons unless you offset the mouse pointer a certain distance away from the icon you are trying to click The Heli seems to follow me even when cloaked, doesn't shoot just follows 64bit has more bugs that I have not had
the option for Very High is only available for Vista
Other Thoughts: GREAT GAME, really amazing just prepare yourself Game does get very hard at some points
AMD 6400 @ 3.2ghz 3 x 1gig kingston 800mhz 2 x evga 9600GT, 512gddr3 each XP SP3
runs everything on high average 18-25 fps

The Perfect Shooter
Pros: the game is great. graphics are to of the line. shadows are perfected. attention to small detail is impressive. the scope aim shakes with the breath which makes it realistic. Also the fact that the bullets do not all hit the same place when firing multi rounds makes it that much more enjoyable. so far it has been a thrill. you can only carry two rifles at the time, unlike other games where you pack a whole arsenal.
Cons: the Koreans speak English when they spot you.
Other Thoughts: you would enjoy the game a whole lot more when you run it on max resources. so make sure your system is well prepared to run this game
i have been playing FPS games for about 10 years and so far, this game is one of my all time favorite

Good Game
Pros: Good game - excellent graphics! Nano suit makes getting out of sticky situations much more interesting. You can go in guns blazing or use cloak mode for a more stealthy attack.
Cons: Can't get to the end. At one point in the game, no matter what I do I crash the VTOL and die. Happens every time. I'm sure it's a glitch in the game/disc but it's annoying as it is right before the last level.
Other Thoughts: All around good game. Very fun. Odd change to anti gravity in the middle but once you get through that part it returns to normal. I just wish I could get to the last level...

Sooo... pretty...
Pros: It's graphics are the best of any game I have ever seen...
Cons: Anytime I have to drive is annoying... and certain objects dissappear when I get closer...
Other Thoughts: I just bought this to test out my machine's power. As it turns out, my machine is powerful. Crysis is also a great game, and never stops amazing with it's graphics...

Ultimate playability!
Pros: Great graphics (never heard that one, huh?), great combat system, fun AI, advanced physics engine, extremely playable!
Cons: Well, my computer sure doesn't like this game.
Other Thoughts: Even though at times my computer has trouble playing this game, I love it! I've played through the whole thing once or twice, replayed levels, and my favorite part is the Sandbox Editor. So much fun! What's more fun than having ultimate control of a map, to play with physics, explosives, using cheats at will, etc. A lot of people seem to think that people only play this game for the graphics, and I'll admit, that's what drew me in, but ultimately that's not what kept me hooked. It's actually FUN too!

Good game
Pros: Fun game with a new game mechanic to play with, instead of being all powerful like in halo, you have to tactically choose which nano suit ability you want to use at the right moments.
Cons: Didn't last too long, but what game does these days?

Messed up JAVA
Pros: Nice Graphics and fun to play. Ran well on this computer (see below).
Cons: After installation I could no longer use some websites that required JAVA. I tried the Crysis patches. I tried the most recent JAVA download. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling JAVA and no luck. I finally used "System Restore" to the "day before" game installation. Now JAVA is fixed but I no longer play the game.
Other Thoughts: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Intel Quad Q6600 2.4GHZ 4GB RAM GeForce 8800 GTS 340MB 750 & 320GB Hard drives

FANSTANDING!!!!
Pros: Absolutely, with out a doubt the best game for graphics!!! Multiplayer Power Struggle RULZ!!!!!
Cons: That one has to have a killer rig to run it maxed everything. That the single player game ends.
Other Thoughts: You will absolutely love this game!!! It is a great excuse to upgrade your hardware. The bragging rights to say that you can run the game start to finish maxed without a hiccup! I run mine maxed and never have I gone below 30fps until the final sequence ending (not the game portion, the ending scene).

WOWOW!
Pros: I bought this game a while ago but didn't play it because my system wasn't strong enough. Finally i have a core i7 965 with a GTX280 and figured I'd see what all the hype was about. WOW was I impressed. Insanely realistic graphics. Beautifully contoured landscapes. Smart AI. Physix really works wonderfully with objects in motion. Ability to interact with just about everything in the environment. Very unique suit abilities that don't last long enough to make you too overpowered. Very immerse storyline and gameplay. I especially like the foliage diversity and ground textures. Everything you could want in an FPS, it's just REALLY terrible that EA decided to muddy up it's sequel Warhead with spyware and limited installs, but that complaint has no bearing on this game it predecessor.
Cons: The installer does not allow you to choose a path. It defaults to C:\Program Files\Crytek\Crysis. Personally I install all my games to C:\Games for easy access to screenshots and mods, but luckily moving the folder manually did not affect gameplay. Path changes are also very important now that I'm limited to an 80gb SSD, games in the future will need to be installed to another drive, so not having access to this during setup just plain dumb.
Other Thoughts: All settings on high running at 1920x1080 I had a broad average of 35-50fps in outdoor areas where there was extremely far draw distance. In enclosed areas it can jump up as high as 80+fps. The slowdown in long range views hasn't even had an effect on playability. So don't let that 35 scare you off.

amen
Pros: Only the most well designed game ever created. this game is short but it's so non-linear you will never be disappointed replaying it again and again. I probably played through at least 7 times and i'm still finding areas of levels i've never been through before.
Cons: The AI isn't the best if you do anything to them but shoot them from a distance. you stand right next to them as they are getting up and they just take their sweet time as if you aren't even there. doesn't take away from the experience unless you make a habit of trying to expose the AI's flaws
Other Thoughts: Definitely one of the greatest games i have ever played. Story is ok, replayability is good, graphics and physics are amazingly insane (4870x2 for me), online is ok, gameplay is great

Awesome Game!!
Pros: Graphics are just beautiful and stunning. I originally upgraded my system waiting for starcraft 2. But in the meantime was wanting to play some games, So i got this and bioshock, and warhead and they all rocked. This and bioshock played on high 1024x 768 very rarely had lag. Played beautifully, Warhead played on medium at 1024x768 and no to little lag also.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Just was reading the GTA4 reviews on here also and i think i rig could handle that as well. I think people are just tripping out and trying to max everything out and thats why your getting 10fps. I don't think you can max any newer game like this or GTA4 unless you have a supercomputer. Anyways here is my system. E8400 4 Gigs DDR 2 667 Bfg oc 9600GT 160GB Seagate 500 Watt Antec EA My wei score is a 5.6

Cool but Not acceptable for me
Pros: Cool concept. Cool features. Most believable armor suit of games I've played... I want a nano suit...
Cons: *Profanity... loud and tonns of it. *Guess I'm spoiled... But some of the sequences were weak. Just not as good as half-life... *Reminds me of a 90's AI game ( ie:trying to get psyco to stand near the fire to charge his suit. He should really try not to die)
Other Thoughts: This game stinks of too much profanity(sp) You can't turn it off, and it is not needed. It would be easy to have done an alternate audio track free of it. I have kids. And EA should do a much better job of providing "cleaner" games.
I will not trust any EA games anymore... I would have rated 4 eggs if there was a way to turn off the profanity.

Gamer approved !!!
Pros: This game is amazing. A true and unique gaming style. Hats off and a bow to EA GAMES...
Cons: Takes alot of graphic power to run this game.. :(
Other Thoughts: I bought this game when it first came out. I played it for a hour and just lost interest. My 8800gts just couldnt run it and I was having heat issues. So I through it in a drawer. Months later I thought to give it a new try with my GTX280. WOW, I am hooked. This is what EA games wanted me to experience. This game shouldnt have launched until now. Also Crysis should be called FAR CRY 2. Sorry but EA games got it wrong. I am a HUGE fan of FAR CRY and I will say that FAR CRY 2 is a major let down. But Crysis is FarCry 2 for me. Nothing COOLER than shooting and fighting in a tropical jungle. Beautiful water and skys. Just the irony of the savage and beauty concept just sells. But selling games isnt about the best graphics. Because if nobody can run it then nobody will play it.
Im waiting for BF3... Get it right EA !!! Keep it just like BF2 but IRAQ and USA. Could start at the ocean coast and work our way all the way up to Iraq. Wow that would be cool.

Great game. good graphics
Pros: Graphics,weapons,enviorment,gameplay..ext. (multiplayer too)
Cons: SHORT! i beat this game in under 5hrs. (on med) also, this game is NOT a "open world" like ppl have said. if you think this is open, play oblivion, two worlds, fallout 3.. this is a great game, but not "open world"
Other Thoughts: Some say you have to have at least a 3850+ or 8800gt+ to play this game. WRONG! you can play this fine ony my system.
Intel P4 3.0ghz (Oc'd 3.76) 2gb ddr2 800 x2 80gb hd's Windows vista 64bit HD 2600xt (256mb GDDR3 ver) 19" lcd
With this computer, i play crysis on med/high/low FINE!!! and at 1440x950 (i have vids on utube) with fraps, i play at 27-36FPS EASY! this is a great game, and you don't need a killer pc to play.

Nice!
Pros: This game is pretty nice, cool suit powers, fun to use cloak and infiltrate enemy compounds, activating strength mode, grab some guy by the throat, punch him in the face and throw him through a wall. Its good fun, love fighting that alien warship at the end, I'd highly recommend this game for and FPS lover, I also love the excellent visuals.
Cons: None i suppose
Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a dual core processor at 2.6 or 2.8 Ghz. for the video card I'd recommend either an 8800GT (at least) or a Radeon 3850 minimum, expect to be able to play at high settings with those, very high settings if you put Shader effects at medium

AWESOME>>>>>
Pros: I purchased this game in waiting for a certain BT mod that is releasing...next month.
NEWEGG IS AWESOME....great game made in 2006 that still most PC's today can't handle to its full potential!
the release of this certain mod will be "mechlivinglegendary"
Cons: ......
Other Thoughts: make sure you read the min sys requirements...

Awesome game
Pros: Crysis is a graphically outstanding game, everything is nicely textured. The physics are amazing as well, with some buildings, trees, and most other things being destructable. As far as gameplay, I'm not sure why so many people badly critisize it, as I found it very playable, and found the difficulty refreshing compared to all those over easy games being released now. To top it off it has a great storyline, and you understand what's going on throughout the game. I would recommend this for any science fiction fan or gamer with a rig that will run it.
Cons: There are occasional bugs, which can always be expected from games of this size. Other than that none really.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice if everything were programmed as well as Crysis's trees... :P
Runs fine 16x forced AA Very High Settings at 1900x1280 with a Radeon 4870x2.

Pretty Good
Pros: Its fun killing the Koreans. Lots of ways to get things done. Good guns and levels, gfx are pretty good to.
Cons: This really annoying bug wouldn't let me get past the recovery level, but I found a work around. Some lag with a radeon 4870 HD and 3.0ghz AMD X2 CPU>
Other Thoughts: I haven't got to the alien levels yet.

EPIC
Pros: This game is nothing short of spectacular. The cry engine is ridiculous. Graphics are amazing and game play is fantastic. Customizable weapons and cool abilities. Good amoutn of checkpoints and saves; probably died 20-25 times on normal, not too bad. This is by far the best game on the market today even after being on the market for a year. Farcry was great, Crysis is incredible.
Cons: Somewhat on the short side. Final boss was weak, even though I died like 5 times.
Other Thoughts: On to Crysis Warhead

good gfx
Pros: the game has overwhelming gfx. def the best out of any game i have played. play on high gfx getting 25-35 fps. fun missions.
Cons: only reason for the low score is the multiplayer.. lots of lag even with gfx settings lowered and not really much fun
Other Thoughts: goof storyline and missions.. amazing gfx.. ok online

Pros: Very, very beautiful looking game with the right hardware. I bought this game purely for benchmarking because it really pushes your system to its max.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Very good benchmarking game. I recommend it to anyone who is building a gaming rig.

Pros: The graphics are awesome and the physics are great too. I enjoy the story line and shooting.
Cons: I gave this a low score because of design. The game does not utilize multi GPU's which is unexcused. The developer should release and update to use all GPU's then the game could be playable at high settings. But instead I have to run the game at medium settings in order to get 15-30 fps. Also from what I have been noticing in reviews and benchmarks is that the game heavily relies on the CPU. So the GPU does not really matter too much. The better the CPU the more FPS you will get.
Other Thoughts: Crysis Warhead is the same and from what I can tell Far Cry 2 is the same too. So I will not be venturing into Crytek games any more.

Buy it... BUY IT NOW!
Pros: This game blew me away. The Graphics are the best I've seen in any game so far. I was expecting less, but wow this game is so much more.
Crysis makes COD seem like a walk in the park.
Cons: None. Maybe a little complicated. Bought a 9800GT card so I could play this on high settings.
Other Thoughts: This is a very complicated game and it takes forever. So much plot involved and movies. I had to look through the walkthroughs online some to figure out where to go in the core mission and at the end.

great--even on low
Pros: best fps ever. cant even begin to describe how much fun and exiting this game is. going full auto with SCAR against a (spoiler alert) alien is the most viscerally satisfying feeling in the world. total adrenaline rush throughout. many times during the campaign i would just laugh because it was so fun, amazing, and awesome.
graphics are great even on low 800x600. looks better at those settings than source games (hl2 deathmatch, portal) on max with full aa and af.
Cons: must run on low (not really a con), multiplayer is limited. nothing really significant.
Other Thoughts: unfortunately on my medium fast computer (c2d 6320, 8500gt) low 800x600 is the only possible setting in the hairy (read: parts with lots of enemies) situations. im sure it would be TEN TIMES as awesome to play on high or very high with 30-40 frames per second. it looks GREAT with high settings on my computer, its just that its a laggy slide show that way. so all you people with faster computers have even more reason to get it.
get this game. you wont regret it.

Pros: - Good graphics, especially how the jungle feels like a jungle and not just a room with no ceiling and outdoor lighting. - Fun new game mechanics.
Cons: - Needs a good system to really enjoy it, but these are easier to come by since it was released.
Other Thoughts: It's still Crysis, if your a semi-serious to serious FPS gamer you have to get it once your machine can handle it.

why buy consoles with games like this?
Pros: This is a great game. I love fps games & compared to Halo 3, Crysis is better all around and you don't have to buy another 300 dollar mini computer to play it. i got the special edition from another store for 20$.
Cons: this game is tough. yet another game i enjoy but will never have the time or patience to finish. download the patches. they huge files, but worth the wait.
Other Thoughts: i don't see why everyone is complaining about the resources this game takes up. i play it on very high no anti-aliasing with no problem. framerates are smooth as silk at 1280*800. this game engine is definitely better when played on a 64 bit os. crysis warhead, which has no 64bit exe does not play as smooth in 32 bit mode. i suppose that that extra 20% boost you get from utilizing all that 64 bit processing power really helps in games. warhead is not even playable on very high on my computer, probably for this reason. not to mention the 64bit exe can make full use of my 8gigs of ram though it never gets above 3 gigs even with all the vista background stuff running. pny 8800 gt amd 5600 brisbane 2.9ghz 8gigs corsair xms @ 800mhz vista 64bit antec 500psu my system is slightly above average, but plays this game great however, i have found another reason for all of you to dump your 32 bit os and go to vista 64!! it is great. don't let the mac people fool you!

Pros: This game is a monster. I currently am able to play it in Vista 64. This is the only game I have the creates huge amounts of heat in my dual 4850 video cards. Great graphics.
Cons: You will need a very powerful computer, and dual video cards, or better, to truly appreciate all the graphics in the game. It was a bit tempermental to get working in Vista 64, but it can be done.
I wish they would recode the game or use a different engine. I've never seen a game that chews up graphical processor power like this one.

Pros: The game has beautiful graphics obviously. Love the single player gameplay (cannot comment on multiplayer because I haven't played it). Suit is innovative. No crosshairs on highest difficulty (the ONLY way to play btw) adds a lot of realism. I love FPS games that allow multiple paths and ways of accomplishing goals. Some really intense parts when helicopters show up. The first "half" of the game was hands down the most fun I have ever had playing a computer game...
Cons: ...unfortunately, after you discover the aliens, the game is mediocre at best. Zero G level was disorienting and not much fun. Frozen levels offered only one path to play. Final battle was a total letdown. Although the suit is cool, you'll probably end up using only one ability for the majority of the game. Copy protection causes my DVD drive to run for about 2 minutes before starting the game; this scares me.
Other Thoughts: I am really torn about this game. The jungle levels are easily 5/5, while the rest is probably a 3 (hence 4 eggs). I would replay the jungle in a second, but the rest is honestly just not that good. Don't know exact frames, but it was smooth on my system at 1680x1050 (everything on high and 2xAA) for the most part until some intense explosions toward the end caused some slowdown. My system is: Intel e8200, EVGA gtx 260, 2GB DDR2 800, and a bunch of other stuff all purchased on the 'egg SPECIFICALLY to play this game. Overall, game was worth it.

This game is sweet
Pros: The graphics is awesome and the video/story line is good too. I have all the setitngs maxed with a 4870x2 and I get 30-40 fps. Sometimes I get in the fifties and other times in the twenties.
Cons: Make sure you have a powerful PC.

Great game
Pros: Beautiful graphics. Fun AI. Good test of a gaming system.
Cons: Even a brand new moderately fast gaming system struggles to keep the FPS on high quality settings.
Other Thoughts: My completely sealed copy did not come with manual and hence a CD key! Rather than try to convince EA customer service that I wasn't making this up, I found an alternative solution which I will leave to your imagination. Sad that I assumed that this was the easiest solution.

System Hype
Pros: Great graphics, crytek engine and a pretty good story line. This is a really fun game
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I don't understand why people think they have to have some monster system to play this game.I've had this for almost a year and beat it 12 times 3 of them on delta. And all i have is a X2 3600 stock,An MSI 8600GT stock And 4 gig of A-Data 800 memory All running on a lousy Gigabyte M61P-S3 board and i tore this game up.

Very Frusterating Game
Pros: Good Graphics
Cons: I hate the gameplay. Unlike other games where you know what to do this game is hard. Sometimes you'll get stuck at a certain checkpoint and not know what your supposed to do. It's so stupid and crazy storyline. Your killing thousands of Koreans it gets annoying. I think the only nice thing about this game is the graphics. When I first bought it I thought I'd love it but after you get 1/3 through the campeighn it gets very frusterating when you don't know what to do or where to go. There should be a mode that is for people that want to know the storyline with gameplay but not super hard. And I did it on easy taboot.
Other Thoughts: I am never playing this game again and those of you that think you'll like it shouldn't get it unless you're a super pro gamer and can stand enormouse amounts of frusteration.

great game, incompetent people
Pros: This game is beautiful, physics are awesome and the AI is not bad, great gameplay and non-stop action
Cons: some people just flat out dont understand requirements, YOU CAN NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITH LOWER-END GRAPHICS CARDS! so stop complaining, everyone knew this when it came out!!!! i get 80+fps with my MSI R4850 and it is FLAWLESS! but graphics aren't everything YOU MUST HAVE A DECENT CPU!!!!!!!!!! system runs this badboy great with my AMD 6400+ @3.6ghz, so read up on the requirements before you buy something you cant play!
Other Thoughts: said it all already

AMaaaaazzziiiiiiiiiig
Pros: wow, i am amazed. it didnt cripple my pc like i thought it would either. unlocked dx10 in xp and looks even better! plays at 17-25 fps at 1920x1080 with 8xfsaa and 16xAF. im quite satisfied with the level of detail put into not only the graphics, but the game play, absalutely amazing. awsome physics detail and smart ai, who could ask for more? at these settings my computer doesnt lag at all, its quite smooth and steady, no stutering at all. im impressed.
Cons: everyonce in a while a weird line goes through the sky, and i have applied the 4800 hotfix. dunno why, ive patched to 1.2.1. oh well, not really a con, but worth noting.
Other Thoughts: My system: phenom 9950 black edition @2.6ghz 2gb (2x1gb) ddr 1066 corsair ballistix asus m3a79-t deluxe motherboard hd4850 2 650core/2100mem 160gb+640gb WD hdd corsair 750watt psu all in an antec 300 case running windows xp pro 32bit

Incredible...
Pros: -AMAZING graphics - as long as your PC can handle it. This game will bring most PCs to their knees. -FUN Gameplay - the nanosuit is a great idea and makes for really fun play -ONLINE PLAY - this is where it's at. I haven't played single player since I first tried online. In fact, I bought Warhead and haven't really played single player yet. The objective - nuke the other team's base to win. Yeah, it's fun. :)
Cons: Did I mention it kicks most PCs in the ball... err... eggs? I've got an P5K3 with an E8400 oc'd to 4.0Ghz, 1333Mhz DDR3 and an 8800 GT oc'd to 780/1000. (3DMark 06 = 15k) It plays on very high at 1280x1400 decently. But if you want to enable all options, the only PC I've seen that can handle the heat was a quad core oc'd with tri-sli GTX 280s. And that was running 40-60fps. Yeah, this game will cripple your system. But it is SO worth it! The maps are beautiful!
Other Thoughts: Quit reading my rambling and buy it already!

Great game
Pros: Game was fun. It's pretty fun and gives a lot of great abilities. This is the first game I've played where I can actually switch things about the guns while in game. Pretty neat. The Koreans' can offer somewhat of a challenge and the game pushes all of your parts to the max. All in all a fun game besides...(see cons)
Cons: Honestly, it was a great game until the aliens....Those levels are just plain boring/stupid. Every time I get to them now, I just restart the game from level 1. I give this game 4 Egg's cause of that. If it woulda just stuck with the Koreans then it would have been a really fun game all the way through. The aliens' are just plain annoying to kill, and not really fun, as where the Koreans' are extremely fun and entertaining :). This game DOES have some glitches. On one level where you had to go through a cave to complete the level, the cave was covered in rocks so I couldn't get by and finish it.. Ended up restarted level and it worked fine.
Other Thoughts: I'm not much of an alien fan. It had a good story until the aliens...I'm getting Crysis-Warhead next, hopefully at least half doesn't have to deal with Aliens like this one

Crysis
Pros: This is an awesome game and truly stresses all of your computer's components.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: As a result of playing this game I have made the decision to build a new gaming PC based upon the Intel i7 CPU and the new ASUS Rampage II Extreme mother board as soon as the products become available from Newegg.

Great Game
Pros: People have done this game an injustice by talking only about visuals and hardware. This game is actually very impressive. Frantic action, amazing physics, and literally about a thousand koreans to kill on each level.
Cons: I don't see any.
Other Thoughts: I have a Q9300 and an XFX GTX260 XXX edition and I can run this with everything on very high and 2x AA. Make sure your system can run this before buying it.

Pros: Looks pretty, suit control is cool
Cons: Bad story, graphics alone can't make a game

All you need to know
Pros: This game is what a good FPS should be simple, fun and sometimes challenging ;Most people who give this game bad reviews just have a junk computer.Heres my specs 5200+ @ 2.964, 8800gts 640 @ 626/2380 ram at 6400+ @924 timings 18-5-5-5 ,OS XP 64bit ran whole game with its awesome graphics at 1440x900 and all settings on high on Delta difficulty and even turned up the ai bot in the config folder. i love this game.
Cons: This games great but not sure about that expansion, i haven't got around to installing it yet.waiting for my new 1.5tb hard drive.
Other Thoughts: Well if your looking for one of those maze fps games or mysteries or something this is not your game. But if you just want to shoot stuff up and go at war with the Vietnamese and aliens with a pretty good plot, grab this game now. Come think of it this is second time this has happened in the game world First was doom 3 ,when no one could play it and now its Crysis i bet the graphics companies absolutely love games like that.

Ho Hum
Pros: I don'k know I guees in fairness I haven't actuall finished even the first half. What can you say it's another shooter. I like shooters. The graphics are pretty. Yes it requires a stupedous amount of video and CPU resource, but I trying to find good things to say , this is the pros catagory.
Cons: I was saying it's another shooter and as such maybe not the best. There isn't much about the character to identify with. That being said I thought that as far as mucking about on a scenic tropical island inside you computer, goes , Far Cry had prettier scenery. It takes just an increadible amout of CPU and Video power to play without dropping frames. Even if you have you have to wonder if the programmers... well.
Other Thoughts: Its ok. I'll probably finish it at some point, but it's not like I can't stop playing it or anything like that.

Don't buy into the hype
Pros: Visuals are great, the game is fun while it lasts. Good ai.
Cons: Short single player mode was over in a few days of play. 0 replay value. Online mode sucks, power struggle always ends up in a massive spawn killing fest. Don't get me wrong, it was fun while it lasted, but that wasn't long.
Other Thoughts: Don't belive the hype. If you can get a used/cheap copy of this game, then go for it. I suggest getting the orange box over this anyday.

Best FPS ever! (besides the sequel possibly)
Pros: Well, as many people have already said, AMAZING GRAPHICS!!!!! Also very innovative idea on suit functions, enemies and storyline! The ability (and idea) of just walking on to the beach and picking up a turtle and chucking it at some soldiers, is ingenius and hilarious!
This is not just "another alien killing game"
Cons: Really, consuming on GPUs. Also a bit short, I played it for 3 hours and am about half way through, although i'll go back and play on harder levels.
Other Thoughts: Fun fact: the harder the level the smarter the AI (and they are more accurate with their shooting).
This game is NOT for snipers. The first time I played I wasted all my amunition trying to kill this gunner in a boat, and ended up beating people with a stick later. Although you eventually do find sniper rifles, thats not till 2 hours into the game.

Crysisssssss
Pros: This game has it all. Everything I was expecting and then some; except gun selection. That aside, having the first segment of the game being the demo was awesome. Then chasing it down was even better. The plot was very thought out, and though repetitious movements (run and gun or cloak) were as regular as having your tactical attachment on (and not knowing what it's for). I love the zero gravity areas, I love blowing stuff up with rocket launchers and ruining the days of the silly koreans who thought they could kill me in a nano suit. I want a nano suit now.... This game rocks. VERY HIGH settings on DX10 is nice too.
Cons: Gun selection, that's all.
Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Duo e4600 at 2.45 GHZ, EVGA GeForce 8800GTS SSC Edition 640 MB GDDR3, 8 GB Corsair Ballitix DDR2 800 MHz on a Vizio VW42L 42" LCD Television through HDMI. I love it.

Pros: The graphics in this game are absolutely unbelieveable if you have an 8800GT or better. The immersion is near perferct as some of the scenery is getting darn close to photo realistic. A few more years and we'll be there if this is any indication.
Let's talk about the gameplay though. If you are into sneak and snipe action then this game will speak to you. The first half of the game is spent sneaking through the forest and taking long range shots from cover and infiltrating enemy camps. Of course, you can always take the guns blazing approach but that's the beauty of this game. You can play it either way. The second half is more of a straight up action fest along the lines of a game like Halo with more linearity and less sneaking around.
The replayability is endless as the levels considerably non-linear so you can take a different approach each time through. Blowing up buildings, leveling forests, and sniping commies never gets old.
I never had any bugs or crashes.
Cons: I would have liked more sneak and snipe action in the second half of the game. I know that wouldn't fit well with the story so I can't really call it a serious con.
Other Thoughts: Contrary to popular belief, you can run this game on Very High on a budget. 30fps is smooth as silk in this game for some reason. I have no idea why but it's the honest truth.
In terms of "Very High" graphics settings: The 8800GTX will run this game at 30fps at 1280x1024 The GTX280 will run this game at 35fps at 1680x1050
I've used both cards and those are the results I got. Now that the 8800GT goes for about a hundred bucks on Newegg you've got no excuse for not being able to run this game at High or Very High.
There are also plenty of mods and custom configs out there on the net that will allow you to play this game at near Very High on lesser cards. The "Natural Mod" got my old 8800GTX up to 1680x1050 with no noticeable decrease in visual quality.
This game might have been out of reach of the budget gamer a year ago but today the barrier to entry is very low. Just find yourself an 8800GT on newegg for cheap and you'll be all set.

Epic
Pros: Best graphics out of any game (except Crysis: Warhead). The AI is smart and will use cover, try to flank you, and fight as a team. The gameplay is exciting and there are many, many ways to take on any situation. The story is awesome with cool characters, modern politics and a crazy sci-fi twist all with cinematic presentation. Easily one of the best single player campagins I've played since Half Life 2.
Cons: You need a BEASTLY rig to run this very high settings 60fps. The ammo gets scarce towards the end and you have to conserve, but if you're like me then you just kept sprayin' lead then realize theres no ammo around, and have to revert to an older save. The multiplayer is lacking team deathmatch and is short on maps.
Other Thoughts: The cons were just not enough to lessen the score of this intense game. If you don't have an ATI 4870/Nvidia 280 or better then you might as well either wait or upgrade. If you buy FPS games for the multiplayer aspect then Crysis: Warhead is a better choice.

Meh-tastic
Pros: The graphics are beautiful and it gives you a good reason to upgrade your computer
Cons: The game is rather short, in my opinion. I was playing along and the next thing I knew, it was over. It felt more like half a game rather than a whole one.
It buggy. I have the latest patches installed, but I had a lot of trouble killing the last boss because the gun wouldn't lock on. I had to reload several times before stuff worked like it should have. Also sometimes a head shot kills someone and other times 3 head shots don't do the job.
Other Thoughts: The graphics are great, but it wasn't the great FPS I was expecting.

Crysis for Graphics and Gameplay
Pros: PC specs used for gaming:
-Quad-core phenom @ 2.3GHz -4gb PC800 DDR2 -Seagate 7200.11 500GB -Dell 24" LCD -EVGA Nvidia 8800 GTS 512mb
This game is amazing. I would say that my system specs are the minimum for this game. I could run every graphics setting on medium and still get 25-35 fps @ 1680x1050. This is not a shortcoming of the game though. Even at medium, the graphics in this game are far better than any game I have seen on Windows or Xbox. This includes games such as HL2 (including episodes 1 and 2) and Gears of War.
The game play is amazing. Interaction with the completely destructible environment is believable. The AI is tough as it is difficult to hide from and get away from enemies. The vehicles handle well, and even have realistic suspension and damage--since you can shoot out tires, glass, etc.
Cons: Ending is a bit abrupt, and a bit of a cliff hanger. But, this is the first of many installments for the Crysis franchise.
Also, technically this is just another first person shooter.

Same as Far Cry
Pros: Works on my laptop w/ nVidia 9600 GS. Great graphics and game play. Low price and not addicting.
Cons: My brother thought I was playing Far Cry. Seems to be the same thing with the addition of a special suit.
Other Thoughts: Nice game overall.

Pros: Great game! Extreme graphics! This is a great game I recommend it for people that want the maximum out of there pc. I got to say this is the best EA game I've played.
I got this game at target then saw it on here for $16 dollars cheaper :(
Cons: Hackers easily get past punkbuster. The game doesn't save your xp if you reconnect to the server. Not very first time user friendly.
Other Thoughts: hellllla fun!!

Solid Single Player
Pros: Gorgeous graphics with a very Predator-esque storyline. Open ended world gives a very Grand Theft Auto-like freedom to the game world. Over dozens of ways to overcome your opponents. My personal favorite is anything involving an explosive barrel.
Cons: The enemy's A.I. leaves something to be desired: the game makes you feel as though you are playing against a swat team of pre-schoolers. They rarely run or duck for cover when shot. When they do go for cover, they often hide behind giant red explosive barrels. And when you cloak in front of them, they'll often stand around scratching their heads wondering where you went.
Also, the game's protagonist is hardly a relatable or realistic character. He reminds me a lot of that football-playing jock in high school that your little sister was obsessed about. As we all know, those guys aren't as successful after graduation.
Also, the multiplayer, while fun, isn't very popular. Hardly much competition for it either if that's what you're into. Best to go with Call of Duty 4 or Team Fortress 2.
Other Thoughts: There's something to be said about a game which becomes a standard for comparison. Before Crysis, everyone based their PCs on how well it played Oblivion.
If for no other reason, get this game just to have a little piece of history. That way when you look back you can think to yourself, "Dang... I remember when this game was the standard for comparison. Nowadays even a Leapfrog laptop could play this. What a joke!"

Crysis
Pros: Graphics are obviously amazing, there is a good plot for the singleplayer portion. The AI in the game is great, the Koreans group up, hide from you, follow you, and even call in reinforcements. The physics engine is very cool, and very fun to play with too. crysis ran great on my 2.33 GHz. E6550 and 8800gts 320mb. but I have since upgraded to an E8400 so I can now play on all high settings at roughly 20fps avg. I absolutely love the gameplay, because it forces you to sneak up on enemies (run and gun on hard is almost impossible) and figure out a way to take objectives stealthily. multiplayer is also very fun (if you can find a server)
Cons: multiplayer. for the longest time I could not get on a server, because it said that the "server authentication failed." well I'll give all of you a little hint. try to connect to the server 6 or 7 times, and that usually works, or come back 5 min. later and try. This is dissapointing, but not worth enough to detract from its rating. almost no one is playing multiplayer :(
Other Thoughts: Overall amazing game, loved every minute of the Singleplayer. new style of gameplay is great (no run and gun) and for all of the people who said that they shouldnt have bought it DOWNLOAD THE DEMO!!! there is a demo people, its the entire first level, and it is good by itself.

Awsome
Pros: I haven't tried the noise cancellation yet but the sound quality is awesome! They really block out the sound even without the cancellation on. I'm so I think that their as good or better than Bose's $350 model. So glad I bought.
Cons: Um, they weren't free, and they don't make you smarter.

Pros: Fantastic graphical quality. This beast has every single type of eye candy I've ever seen. Parallax mapping, HDR, soft shadows, soft particles, SSAO, Motion blur, DOF effect, and so much more. If you've got the muscle to turn this baby up to "Very high", you may forget that it's not real. The gameplay is open ended and dynamic, without being pointless. Some people have complained about the gameplay, but I think they don't really understand the concept. Their used to playing games with some sort of gimmicky gameplay. Like Gears of War where you always attack from cover, or Splinter Cell where you have to use stealth. They don't understand that in Crysis, YOU make the gameplay. It's not made for you. That's what makes it great. It's dynamic and unpredictable. Don't bring any of your preconceptions if you do decide to give this great game a try.
Cons: If you don't have patch 1.21 it's a real resource hog. It's much shorter than what I expect from a game. I know games tend to be shorter nowadays, but I've been gaming for more than a decade, and I need a challenge. Very rarely does a game come along that's this good, and when it does, I want to play it!
Other Thoughts: I play at low-medium-low settings with a P4 3.0GHz, 3GB DDR2 and a geforce 8500GT and I get 20-30 FPS. Which is more than it sounds like. This game seems to be optimized for low frame rates, which threw me for a loop. At 30 FPS it feels smoother than most games do at 60. Motionblur helps too. If you don't know know what I mean by that, then you shouldn't be talkin'.

Crysis for PC
Pros: My PC had moderate specs 2.4GHz, 1.5 RAM, 512 AGP Video. It played FINE on that machine. I never had so much fun playing a FPS game. I think it's the ONLY game I've ever (re)played on 3 or more difficulty levels without getting bored to tears. I am more of a ninja warrrior than stormtrooper in my gaming style, this game was perfect for me while still allowing a moderate amount of stormtrooping.
Cons: It's been a month since I finished the game and can't remember even one that bugged me enough to stay with me. Slight con, no cool finishing moves like you have in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell games.
Other Thoughts: Veteran FPS gamers and those looking to break-in to the genre will later look back in life and count this one as one of the classics that they're glad they bought.

Wow... 'nuff said
Pros: This has got to be one of the best games I've ever played hands down. I have my settings at 1360x768 and Medium across the board and i'm getting smoth video on my rig which was a huge worry for me upon getting this. The physics engine.... ahahaha, I love it and I hope every game is made with this from now on, dang near EVERYTHING is destructable one way or another, so even if you don't have cover, make some!
Cons: Seems to randomly crash on me, even with the patch, not too worried, a simple restart and i'm back in on the action. Other than that, I'm just not too thrilled with how inaccurate the guns are past 100ft. Seems more like i'm using an airsoft gun because i have to get so close and it takes around 10rds to take a single soldier down sometimes :/
Other Thoughts: This game is absolutely nuts, I can see why people love it and I'll be getting Warhead soon to see what it's like over on Psycho's end, but not until I beat this one :) Oh and the Max Armor mode should be a little beefier if you ask me, double health just doesn't seem to cut it when you look back at the intro video and see how it holds up to the 7.62's

Pros: Amazing game. The visuals are eye candy, and the physics engines makes almost everything destructible from the trees falling to houses collapse from grenades. The storyline is also well followed out. Also, it has a native 64-bit version for those wanting to play in 64-bit, which yields a nice 10-15% performance increase over 32-bit.
Cons: It's got a few bugs, and the game may crash every once in a while. However, it's pretty stable. Be sure to download the latest patches.
Other Thoughts: At low graphics settings, Crysis runs primarily off the CPU. At high settings, it's almost all your GPU. So if you plan on running at Very High, be sure to get a powerful graphics card (at least 9800 GTX) to handle it. At very high, it's your graphics card that bottlenecks your system.

Good at best
Pros: Its Very nice to look at. Sandbox 2 is very fun to play with once you figure out how. It never did crash on me.
Cons: Really poor AI, gun seems like it doesn't work i can waste a whole clip on someone and they don't die. Ending was ok at best. FRAMRATES! all over the chart at times i can get 70 then drops to 26... 14.... then back to 40
cloak... uncloak... cloak... uncloak... cloak... uncloak...
Other Thoughts: It is very nice if you can pull max settings 22'' lcd at 1680 1050 on vista all it took was.....
2x 4870 cf, e8400, DDR2 1066 with a decent Asus MB and normal SATA 640 gb WD. I am sure i can play fine at higher res
I hope FarCry 2 has something for us. I do plan on buying the Newer Crysis game coming out soon all I hope is that they fix the bugs

Loved it
Pros: I'm really big into having alot of control and options with the FPS genres, because I get frustrated when I can't simply melee. This game takes it all to a new level, you can damage the vehicles and buildings just like real ones, pick up people with your bare hands and throw them. I also really liked the gun customization option. Whats not to like?
Cons: Requires serious PC specs for everything to show up nicely. Multiplayer doesn't have AI bots. That'd have been wicked :/
Other Thoughts: I was able to run mostly Very High's (remember, you can only use the Very High setting in vista), and my specs were C2D E6700, 2gb Corsair XMS2 EPP 800mhz 4-4-4-12, 8800gts 640mb.

Awesome!
Pros: Well I havn't even gotten to the multiplayer of this yet, and it is cool as hell! The graphics are unreal. You can choose weather you use stealth to your advantage, power, or a mixture. Very exciting game that makes you want to keep coming back for more.
Cons: Did I seriously just buy a $200 graphics card and I still can't run this game at the top settings??? This game is a little ahead of its time.
Other Thoughts: If your computer can run this on high settings, you need to buy it! It's great. I have e8400 core 2 duo, 4 gb ram, hd4850 GPU, vista 64bit and I can run it on high with about 30 fps. When the action gets crazy it will ocassional dip to 17 fps, but nothing worth complaining about.

WOW
Pros: WOW, let's begin with the graphics, they are nothing short of stunning, the physics engine is crazy, the suit features, awesome since it gives you just enough power to kill the enemies but not enough to be crazy good without the effort. when your sniping a target the scope moves meaning when you breathe the laser, or whatever you prefer doesn't stay in one spot, like in CS:S you can focus on one single target and it's motionless, not so in this game.
Cons: haha, there's only one i can think of, you need to empty the whole clip to kill an enemy when you first start out. without the sniper scope and laser pointer your acc is as good as a monkey shooting a VERY powerful gun with its feet. but it just adds to the fun in the game to not be able to kill as quickly as you could.
Other Thoughts: i got a 9-series video card and a 4400+ CPU along with a gigabyte 770 DS3 mobo with 2GB of Buffalo RAM, everything is OC'd...including the NB. and i can play the game just fine, so why are you b####es complaining about.."brings the PC to it's knees". I HAVE A 9500GT AND IT RUNS PERFECT so QUIT COMPLAINING i have an outdated 4400+ OC'd to 2.7Ghz and it runs perfect.

One of the best games out
Pros: This game is awesome; I mean, the graphics are insane! I have never owned a game that has influenced me to build-up my PC! This game is that good. The AI is great also. Never in a game have I seen the user's ability to grap hold of an enemy by the neck and toss him like a rag doll, or virtually jump maybe 20 feet in the air while shooting down at enemies! The explosions are the BEST! Cinematic scenes are fantastic! I love just jumping in a game every so often, just to blow up stuff!!! haha It's fun man.
Cons: This game made me want to inve$t more money into my current rig (upgraded to GTX 280, E8500, new RAM, etc). hahaha. But, it was so worth it!
My only con with this game is that if you are using XP 32-bit with DX9, you can not use the highest graphic settings; BUT thank goodness for the software mod to this game that lets such XP 32-bit users run the game at the highest graphical settings!
Other Thoughts: Check the specs and make sure your PC can run this game before you purchase it. It is a very hardware demanding game! My comp heats up like crazy whenever I play this, but it'll be perfect for the upcoming winter! haha!
You can also install the Crysis Natural Mod that makes all of the graphics look even more superb! Water looks so real, dirt, debris, foliage is rich and natural greens, sand looks you could grasp it with your hand and make a castle! Just awesome.
Can't wait for Warhead to come out!

Its good but....
Pros: (This is my opinion it is not the say all end all) It is a very visually stunning game I have everything on high and I get good frame rates but of course i have a 9800 gx2 so frame rates are amazing.( I think I might have objects and water on medium and the rest on high). My brother has this game with an 8800gt and the rates are good (fyi you would never need to quad sli for this game you get amazing rates with the gx2 alone). The game plays like a movie like really good visually and the guns are really customizable. I use both the 360 controller and the keyboard....I think its easier to remember stuff of on the keyboard more than the controller....with the 9800gx2 this game plays amazing however there are the random hangups every so often but like 2 every hour of game play .... This game is not addictive so if you are someone who games but has classes to attend you will not lose sleep playing this game...which is a good thing
Cons: If you are not a shooter fan I wouldn't bother getting this game....if you are a border line shooter fan I still would not get this game. I am more of an rpg fan so I think I gravitate towards mass effect more. If it weren't for the visuals I don't think I would have kept playing to be honest. The powers are so intense you could honestly go through most of the game relatively easy. I do own shooters however compared to rainbow and the other shooters I have I do not really think this game is on par game play wise...graphically it blows all other games out of the water. If you have an amazing/semi-amazing pc I would buy just to see what the future of gaming looks like but If you pc is decent/good (im referring to the people with the 8800's) and you are not a shooter fan I would look for a shooter that has other elements to it like real time strategy shooter (company of heroes) or rpg shooter (mass effect).
Other Thoughts: I do not think I am picking up crysis 2 (warhammer) I do not this added weapons or modifications will make or break the deal for me...my mind is pretty made up. Maybe If they made the game played on more than one island like if the crysis was like all over the world it could change my mind.
also if you do not have good reaction time this game is good for you...the suit makes it so that you do not really have to even be worried about getting killed ( this could be either good or bad...enemies even if the take you by surprise and you are outnumbered 10 to 1 you have like a 90% to 95% chance of surviving without really stressing yourself out....the online game play is much better but again its not the best out there there are definitely better online experiences.
my build xfx 9800gx2 ( over clocked to 740), quadcore 6600, 4 gigs of ram, asus p5n-d...(an an armor lcs case with thermaltake toughpower 850 watt ps)

Ok for benchmarking a PC
Pros: Stunning graphics and physics, overall an eye pleaser. One of the most graphically intense games out on the market right now.
Cons: Even with more than the listed system requisits, ingame cinematics lag like crazy, I get mediocre FPS in the game, sounds are weak as hell and guns are horribly inacurate from any distance other than point blank. The weapon models are pretty blah and the story is meh.
Other Thoughts: The only thing that saves this game from a total fail is the graphics, other than that its a big stinking loaf with nothing to offer the player than pretty graphics and some minor intense action scenes. Really I wouldnt buy this game for any other reason than to benchmark my computer, which I did, and its a boring play with a suck ending.

Awsume game
Pros: Awsume graphics, wish I could type more but I dont want to be a spoiler.
Cons: I wish it continued a bit more, would liked to have kept killing more ... stuff :) (people who completed the game will understand)
Other Thoughts: Shocking game, have it on ultra high on my machine (amd 3.0 ghz, 2gig ram, 8800gt Zotac Amp, win xp pro ) and I get about 20-26 fps average. Its playable, and with so much eye candy, its worth it to play at those frame rates.
BTW ! Dont play this game on Easy, play it on Delta, much much more enjoyable and lasts long (almost more reloads but hey its more fun when challenged)

WOW Amazing details
Pros: Unreal graphics and gameplay everything works so smoothly the sound cranked up makes me jump. Intense gunfights. Lots of vehicles and in depth multiplayer setup. beat in once going back around on hard
Cons: the 5 or so welcome screens when you start the game and the few that you cant click out of, which isnt much. Graphics card makes it happen
Other Thoughts: AMDx2 3.0 4gigs 1066mhz DDR2 EVGA 8800gts oc on windows xp, you can change the configuration files to use very high settings which is supposed to be saved for vista users. F- vista

WOW!
Pros: This game is amazing, i find myself hypnotized by it's awesomeness. When the single player game ends i shall weep. I am fortunate to be able to play this game on High, although i don't because it's really not necessary, this game on Medium puts 90% of games on very high....to shame.
Cons: It wasn't free.
Other Thoughts: Sunbeam Transformer Full Tower w/ 2 x 120mm & 3 x 80mm, Asus P5E Deluxe X48 MB, PC Power & Cooling 750W Power Supply, E8500 3.16Ghz Wolfdale Dual-Core, OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066 , XFX 9800GTX XXX 512mb 256-bit, Seagate 250GB 7200RPM 32mb Cache SATA, Acer 22” Black LCD, ASUS 20X DVD-R DVD Burner w/ LightScribe, XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler (Triple Copper Heat Pipe Technology), Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Crysis on gpus
Pros: I have 4 different test systems of which 2 are wolfdales and 2 are phenoms. 1 E8500, 1 E8400, 1 9950, and my son's 9850. I have 1 machine in sli 8800Gt MSI OC on very high but fps drops with AA turned on. But the fps wo AA is 45 avg. My machine a 9950 with GTX260 can run any frame rate but when you go past 4AA the fps drops and on very high it drops. So sli would be the next upgrade there. My son's updated 8800gt rig rates as 12,100 3d mark in sli mode with an E8500 and 4gb of DDR800 OCZ sli ram. I will test the gtz 260 in that one later on.
Cons: The game is too oriented to Nvidia. The game will not give higher than 8xAA with an Amd 4850 Saphire 1gb video card in my older son's rig with a 9850. Best to use Nvidia cards as a result and an Nvidia chipset for a Phenom rig. I recommend the 750a MSI or 780a. The 750a is cheaper but the 780a has higher sli speed at 16x. My sons 750I MSI rig is cheaper than a phenom rig and rates a higher 3d mark. For dedicated gamers who do not multitask a lot the E8500 is the way to go. I have to use mine for double duty so the 9950 rules. If the 9450 from Intel wasn't so high I would have gone that way. The core extreme is waste of money. The 9950 is the best quad for the buck at 2.6 ghz. The best duo core is the E8500. I know this from selling PCs and building them. I am sure Intel will drop the prices to offset the 9950 phenom in retaliation.
Other Thoughts: I have read many beneift little with 9800GX2 sli so I did buy one and went straight after a GTX260. My sli 8800gt rig before that was 11000 3d mark. Now at 12,300 with a single 260. I highly recommend for very high to have the fastest cpu such as an E8500 or 8400. The 9450 I have not heard much but I would think with 12mb cache it would be fast. The 9950 is the best AMD chip for this game but is 140tdp. If your board can't handle the watts it will fry. I am using a 750a MSI nvidia chipset and love it. Also using 1066 OCZ epp ram. This game is hardware dependent and you must match everything to include ram, cpu, video, PSU, etc.

Awesome game.
Pros: Graphics are awesome, i'll give it that. DX10 has not let me down on the graphics side. So is the gameplay. You can pick up Koreans and use them as a human shield while you fire at other people.. this game isn't like COD4 where the NPCs just KEEP ON SPAWNING (it's beatable by anyone... just keep working at it). After you kill them, they stay there. You can achieve your objectives any way you want. Not "go here and then here and kill blahblah". It's just "Take out the command center" or something and you get to achieve that objective any way you see fit. You have max strength(jump, riflebutt, throwing..) speed (running + dodging), stealth (recon... special ops), and you can also mod your weapons with three different scopes and an infrared laser for aiming.... This game is awesome for the money / time put into it by crytek. this would be in my own collection of the top 10 games to play before you go 6 feet under. Also, story line was intriguing.. !!!
Cons: A few levels strain my computer to the limit, yea. but that's to be expected when you use crytek's programming (compliment). In one of my copies of this, I had bad programming or something where there were flying tanks??.... I got another one and it was okay. After you get used to the game, playing it on max difficulty is nothing. It's a walk in the park pretty much throughout most of the game... Harder, but more fun =].. Not a con but This isn't as hard as COD 4 where the NPCS keep spawning and its not rigged where they can see you NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE.
Other Thoughts: a lot of these reviews, as i'm reading them, just make me want to spit on my monitor. You don't deserve to post a review in my opinion since it seems you're only looking at the negatives and not all of the positives. Become better critics please and THEN post here. FFS. At any rate.... I can play this on medium settings (not high for some reason). I've got an XFX 8800 GTS 512 mb clock, 3 gigs ddr2 800 ram g.skill, amd dual core 3 gigs processor, asus SLI mobo... 250 gb sata seagate harddrive. I think it could be because I dont have a (pronouncing this) physics card or something. My friend has a worse computer than mine but he has a physics card and he can play it easily on high..

Greatest Game ever?
Pros: Awesome graphics, sound effects, gameplay, and destructible environments.
Cons: system requirements (although even on low settings it looks better then any console game)
Other Thoughts: not too many weapons, but i am looking foward to getting warhead which comes out soon.

Oooooh, Shiny!
Pros: Beautiful, beautiful game! Can't say enough about how great this game looks, even on medium settings. The suit is a blast to use, your enemies are intelligent and the game's physics engine is amazing... shoot the tires of a moving jeep and you'll see what I mean.
Cons: Story is pretty typical "alien invaders!" FPS fare. Some objectives later in the game require more specific decisions than others. Tanks can only be destroyed in a select few ways, while jeeps and helicopters damage more realistically. STEEP system requirements, game seems to run better in XP than Vista.
Other Thoughts: Despite flaws, this game is still a gem. Buy it! My system: 2.66 ghz dual core, 2 gigs RAM, 8800 gt 512mb. Can play medium pretty well and high on lower resolutions (1440 by 900). Dont really expect anything above 30 fps when on high, unless your system is incredible. Get ready for Warhead in the fall!

One of my favorite games ever
Pros: Undeniably the best looking game out right now, probably has the best physics engine too. I'm sure you've heard this all before, but you want to know: is it actually a good game or just bragging rights on a disk? Well, I can tell you that CRYSIS IS ONE OF THE MOST FUN GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. The single player campaign is just amazing, I was blown away by the whole experience. Heres a scenario: use speed to rush into a camp, then quickly switch to cloak to remain undetected, switch to strength when someone comes nearby, drag them into a house, throw them through the roof of the house, switch back to cloak and wait for other soliders to examine the wreckage, then switch to armor and open fire on all of them, promptly die and then try it again in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY. Even if you get bored doing that, the gameplay quickly changes in the middle of the story and it feels like an entirely new game after that. Once you're done with the single player, try the multiplayer. continued......
Cons: FROM PROS: There are only two modes at the moment, instant action (deathmatch) and powerstruggle (control point), but both modes has quite a few maps, and you will definitely have fun with both of them. What do you do after the single and multiplayer? Check out some of the mods, maps, skins and weapons at www.crymod.com Thanks to the very active community, you'll be sure to find a couple of things that you like. What do you do after all of that? Why not MAKE YOUR OWN MAPS with the sanbox 2 editor, which is included on the disk. Have you seen those mass physics videos on youtube? well, now you can make your own, and make them as crazy as you want. If this long winded review hasnt convinced you yet, then have a look at the price. Yup, its under $40, making it not only cheaper than most Xbox360/PS3 games but also most new PC games. All in all, if you have a PC that can run Crysis, there is really no reason not to get it. If you PC that cant currently run Crysis, now is the time to upgrade
Other Thoughts: Specs: 2.53 GHz processor 2GB DDR2 800 RAM nvidia 9600gt video card 7200 rpm HDD Vista home premium SP1 64-bit
Cost: $934, that includes everything, not just whats inside my case
Performance: 1440x900 no AA : ~30 fps, this is with a graphics mod called the triple C pack. I highly recommend it as it makes the game look even better (on any settings) with no drop in FPS

Too Much HYPE and Marketing
Pros: Excellent graphics assuming you have the hardware needed. The first half of the Crysis Game is Fantastic. The controls are smooth snf responsive--assuming you have the hardware needed. The Patches released help a bit to increase framerates, but you will still need massive computer power to play this game.
Cons: Aliens! After the 1st half of the game I can't believe what a huge letdown the second half was. The story is horrible and the only reason this game has succeded the way it has is due to Marketing. The Game itself is short and not anywhere near as good as others. Why put out a game where so few can play it properly?
Other Thoughts: Some Independent reviewers who do daily and weekliy reviews---hated this game. I have to rate it a 6 out of 10. It appears to have been pushed out the door too fast. It wasn't ready--especially the Story. Now the Developers are creating another Crysis--probably will be much better--BUT the game to wait for is FarCry II. They have had pleanty of time to develope FarCry II and learn from the multitude of mistakes that Crysis encountered. FarCry II could be the game of the Century.

Great game.
Pros: This is a great game what else can I say runs fine on a 8500 gt on lowest settings and still looks as good as cod4 on highest ...
Cons: physics sometimes do weird things, the sound effects sometimes dont seem to fit in like if I hit a empty barrel on a fence it makes a really loud exploding sound for some reason.
Other Thoughts: i recomend it.

Great game, but not without flaws
Pros: Most visually stunning game so far, great missions and many options to complete them, great sound, great voice acting, nice weapons, great atmosphere, great AI (yes, it's great but you need to play at higher difficulty settings), customizable config files (you can make AI tougher if you'd like).
Cons: Too short, second half of the game not as fun as first, the zero gravity level is probably one of the worst, most boring levels I ever saw in FPS. Ending not very satisfying, I won't say it sucked but it's a lame cliffhanger, leaves you saying "What?? That's it?!?" I know there is a bunch of sequels coming out but come one, this game is too short and too intense to have such a lame ending. The game length and the ending is why rating is only 4 not 5.
Other Thoughts: I didn't mention the hardware reqs in "Cons" as this horse has been beaten to death, FEAR and many games had the same issue. If you don't have a high end CPU and GPU you won't be able to play this at resolutions higher than 1280x1024 at decent frame rates. Anyone who says don't buy this game if you played Far Cry, they're the same, either a) didn't play either game b) is blind or b) has 10 yo computer. This game is to Far Cry what HL2 was to the original HL: the jump in visuals and physics is incredible, the nanosuit is cool and fun, you can tweak it, yeah, you can call it cheating, but you can increase the time the suit powers last while increasing the difficulty so it makes for more fun experience than default settings. Finally, I found HDR to be the biggest framerate killer, if you disable HDR from the config files your fps may double depending on your system. Yeah, you will lose some eyecandy but you can make up by increasing detail and effects levels. And I don't get John's commen

Ok game
Pros: Great graphics. Loved the cloaking device and weapons
Cons: Too much profanity. I could only play on high setting and at times it was still was choppy play.
Other Thoughts: Running E6750, 2gb ddr2 800, and 8800GT card. Gameplay was ok, but I liked COD4 better and it ran without any hiccups.

Amazing
Pros: Amazing details even on DX9 and lower settings.
Cons: Was a little short, I think, but I played it a ton.
Other Thoughts: Basic Rig Stats: E8400 @ 3.6ghz, 9800GTX, 3.5GB Corsair Memory, 500 GB 7200 RPM 32Cache HDD
Ran Crysis at 30 FPS steady @ 1280x1024 everything on high, anti-alasing at x2 (I put it on none after awhile though, some parts lagged)

people are unintellegent
Pros: beautiful graphics if you have the right equipment to support it, if you dont, dont buy it or complain. dont have to say anything else about it cause its all pretty much been said already.
Cons: its funny that people complain about this game glitching or how bad the AI is or the plot line or how the vehicles handle. this game was made to push computers to their limits, if you want to go over 50fps on very high, the only way your going to do that is if you have 3 9800gx2's in sli. if you read anything reviews about the game you will know that of course the on low difficulties the AI is dumb, how else is it gonna be easy? and the AI is incredible on the highest. right now i am creating a computer JUST to run crysis on maxed out settings. and for story its a story sure its been done before, but so has every other story in some way or another. as for vehicles its more or less realistic, this isnt a racing game. as for weapons, you special ops. you dont get huge amounts of weapons, and why would the Notth Koreans have much more than aks? this isnt CoD 4 (which is also awesome)
Other Thoughts: i have an asus p5n64 ws mobo (better than striker extreme) got 4 gigs of Crucial Ballistix ddr3 ram, i have one 9800gx2, and another on the way, but i'm gonna wait to play crysis until i get it. i also have a QX9775 cpu, Tt Armor +, 2 tb or storage, so i'm pretty much set, for this game. its costing me an arm and a leg but thats ok. this computer is my multimedia center, so soon i'm also gonna buy a 42 inch monitor. btw i have surround sound :D what can i say i'm a loser who puts all his money from work into this computer, well you know what? its worth it
