Great router
Pros: This router has been running 24/7 for over a year now and have never had any problems. Super fast N-connectivity, easy to set up, lots of features.

Works well... just not with XBox Wireless N-Adapter
Pros: Simple install, cool design w/ internal antennas, strong signal performance and range.
Cons: Only does mixed mode signal.
Other Thoughts: Only network mode options are 54Mb/s, 150Mb/s, and 300Mb/s. No options based on actual B, G, or N modes. Only sends mixed mode signals. I bought a wireless N adapter for my XBox360, and the only signal it would pick up is G. Tried Netgear tech support, and they said that it wasn't possible to send just an N signal. Purchased a D-Link DIR-655 and my XBox360 now picks up the N signal, even in mixed mode. Go figure. Ended up RMAing the Netgear.

Great priced, powerful router
Pros: size is small and stackable. no weird shapes or antennaes as with other routers. fast speed, easy to use. looks good on the desk.
Cons: Vista 64 problem prevents using the easysetup wizard. I programmed mine manually and it was fine, but Netgear doesn't offer a lot of help on their website.

too easy?
Pros: Easy set up with Wi Fi security single button an your hooked up... PC Printer all single button connect. Fast when set up in ideal location and configured
Cons: Range is pretty much the same as my old and I mean old super G 2 walls and 30 feet drops signal enough to slow rates... connection is highly dependant on signal strength. DA..... So unles you have a strong (all bars) signal don't expect much in speed improvement over G
Other Thoughts: get it located right and configured for maxx streaming you will rock a steady 280 with no drops. my netword drive is happy though if I lose powes or reboot get mutiple ip's for folders. need to set static ip's.

Great Wireless N Router
Pros: Great value for Wireless N networking. Works flawlessly when online gaming with my xbox, wii and ps3. Shiny black shell looks sexy. No ugly antennas.
Cons: Installation disk gets confused if you're running vista 64 bit. Called tech support and a seemingly well educated indian man walked me through the setup. (first time i got an issue resolved with the help of outsourced tech support).
If your wii is connected 24/7 it may sometimes bogart the connection from your other video game systems.

Good router
Pros: Good range - plug & play after getting all avail updates (didn't even try it before I upgraded the firmware).
Cons: not free
Other Thoughts: Case looks really good - but scratches easily.

Slow
Pros: It does work.
Cons: It is slow! Range is less than my 4 yr old G router. All my Dell laptops take forever to connect to this router.
Other Thoughts: I prefered my old Linksys G router. By the way, the N router will not speed up downloads. Your cable provider will still likely be the bottleneck.

Definitely worth the money
Pros: nice sleek design, alot of options when you log into router. Easy setup. Wireless N (but it's only faster if you have the N adapter and use it for streaming). The price/quality of this router compared to other N routers is much better. This thing is better then my Linksys w54g which was outdated and over rated.
Cons: The only con is when i'm logged into the router it takes awhile for the changes made to be saved, but this isn't a problem.
Other Thoughts: Wireless N is only going to be faster if your using this router to stream movies/mp3's. Comcast users usually have 6-12 mbps download cap. There for you will never get downloads faster then this even though all Wireless N routers claim 300 mbps. This will only allow you to communicate with your network at these speed wirelessly. Hope this brings some light on the somewhat marketing/advertisement scam that is going out there.

Why so slow
Pros: Simple setup, Good physical design, decent wireless connection
Cons: Wired connection speed slower than my last G Router. Used the wireless for my Xbox 360, and worked fine, but hooked up the computer via wire to the router. Videos are now loading FAR slower than last router. Considering returning this one, if I still can.

nothing special router
Pros: good router fairly easy to setup.
Cons: I don't like the fact that this router doesn't support loopback. loopback is when a site is hosted on a machine behind the router using port forwarding you will not be able to use the port forwarding feature from behind the router. Very bothersome. Using hosts file can bandaid the issue, but still don't like that this feature isn't included in ALL netgear routers.

Good router, not complaints
Pros: Easy to setup. Looks cool. Price.
Cons: I was getting poor reception to one of my computers in the other room but all I had to do was place the router on a higher location and now the signal went from moderate to strong. This made a big difference of course and the weird thing is that it was only a difference of like 1 foot. So if you're having trouble with signal, I would play around with the location of the router.
Other Thoughts: The newer model I think has a usb port for a hard drive but I'll just have to make due for now. Newegg rocks!

Good, fast, basic router
Pros: Good performance Reasonable range Easy to set up Small form factor/footprint
Cons: Cheap, flimsy stand Lack of external antenna limits range No CLI, and browser-based interface sucks Limited functionality/features
Other Thoughts: Skip the CD (I'll admit I didn't look at it); browse to http://192.168.1.1, log on using username "admin" and password "password," and away you go. The setup wizards should be sufficient for all but the most brain-dead.
Sadly, the interface is pretty feeble even by consumer standards. It's clunky, slow, poorly-organized...just bad. If you are an IT professional you will really roll your eyes when you see it. Most of the basic functionality you might expect is there, but you'll find yourself hunting around for it plenty and, like most consumer gear, you don't really have any way to configure the thing.
Still, if you set your expectations appropriately for a sub-$80 piece of consumer networking gear (I bought mine from a guy on CL for $50), you'll probably be satisfied.

Pros: Super fast WiFi speed, rather simple set up, great utility to help you bring the unit up and running. I was able to pick the unit up for $50 on sale on Black Friday and very happy I pulled the trigger. Great range, backwards compatible on B and G.
Cons: Have to update the unit to 300 mps, comes factory set at 145 mps
Other Thoughts: I've had the unit for about a week now and it blows away my Linksys WiFi router. Highly recommended.

Pros: solid as a pass thru AP out of the box, plugged in a switch port to my cisco switch and it did the rest on its own. streams 1080p to my bd390 without the normal glitches, and you can even ff and rw without HD freeze up, granted that's only been tested in the next room. it has push-button WPS so i guess if you're into that it's a pro
Cons: only 10/100, and no external antenna -- would not have bought it for more than the black friday price
Other Thoughts: if you use it only as an AP (as in not as a DHCP server) you get no ip, which is normal, just remember to connect it straight to a machine if you want to change settings before you plug it into your network and it becomes invisible.

update from previous review
Pros: Getting better connection than before (see previous review). Have to reset less (see previous review). Getting much better speeds in windows 7's network center (from 54 to almost 200 mbps) as opposed to under 15 from before.
WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING THIS ROUTER, DESPITE CONS!
Cons: bad wifi interference, but its really not this router's fault. Still, worth mentioning that if your computer/itouch/whatever is going to be more than 50 or so feet away from the router, especially if the signal would go through a kitchen or external walls (such as if you're outside) then wifi interference with this router will kill your speed. Still have to reset occasionally (once every one or two weeks). WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING THIS ROUTER, DESPITE CONS!
Other Thoughts: Found my problem (see previous post) was wifi interference from various devices/neighbor's wifi. changed wifi channel from auto (default) to 2, which greatly improved connection. Still get some interference and I plan to buy a repeater or a powerline solution to improve connection to outdoors and outermost areas of the house. Rarely if ever have to reset wireless now, but still get some packet loss and connection dropping on occasion (about once every one or two weeks it happens until I reset router)

Awesome!
Pros: Really fast connection. Longer range and an easy setup. I was worried about how difficult it was going to be to setup a wireless password, but it was quite the opposite. The instructions were steps 1 2 3, just as easy as that. Now I have no problems with playing online with my wii. The other feature I love is it has a power on and off button that helps save energy when you are not using your wireless router. Love my new router.
Cons: I have read other reviews and I have to agree with just one of them. It does feel like it is made of cheap plastic. Other then that, I love it.
Other Thoughts: I switched from my old Linksys to this new faster Netgear router and I have to say, I'm glad I did. I am very happy with my new product because not only my mbps are higher, but I can connect all my wireless products to it without loosing bandwidth. This is a must buy.

disappointed
Pros: worked great at first, up to 54mbps
Cons: Started losing connections and throttling d/l speeds.
Other Thoughts: What a waste of money. A router should last longer than six months. I use it for heavy LAN service.

Bad Router
Pros: works when it does
Cons: the router is just bad sometimes the signal just drops for no reason, the speed fluctuates its never constant, everytime i a new computer trys to connect to the router i have to reset it. i tried getting help from the netgear forums and they told me that it does this because i am to far from the router but i am only 10-15 feet from it. i thought the problem was from my network card but i tried 3 different cards and still the same problem.
Other Thoughts: this isnt the frist time i had problems with netgear wireless routers and i deffinetly wont be buying netgear in the future.

Difficult to set up on win 7 x64
Pros: Looks cool, has been working like a charm so far, has a power button, automatically configured itself after a few hours of being plugged in.
Cons: Took a few hours to set up-- could not use included setup disc with windows 7 x64 so had to resort to manual setup. Could not access the router config page for the first few hours. When I checked back the router had automatically configured itself, which was cool.

Great router
Pros: Reliable, high quality product. The web interface is decent and I didn't have any trouble setting the security to WPA2-PSK [AES]. I have every LAN port in use plus several wireless laptops without any trouble. This was an upgrade of an older Netgear router and it helped solve my bottleneck.
Cons: I had a little trouble setting it up at first, but after it was set up, I haven't had any problems.

It's Good, not Great
Pros: Setup was simple. I just used the CD and followed the instructions. A wired connection is needed for set up. I have 3 laptops, a Roku box and a printer connected wirelessly at 270 Mpbs, using D-Link's DWA-130 and DWA-160 Wireless N USB Adapters on my Acer and Dell laptops. It's very reliable 98% of the time.
Cons: I do get occasional drop outs where the router randomly reboots itself. I have no idea why this happens, but when it does happen, it comes back in less than a half minute.
Other Thoughts: I've owned this router for 10 months now. I think the wireless signal is losing a bit of its strength because I now need to reconnect my Roku wirelessly whenever I turn it on and use it to watch Netflix or MLBTV Premium. Maybe this router just works better with wireless N devices. I don't know. My nokia smartphones, which are wireless G, sometimes lose their internet radio connection when I'm downstairs. I'd rank this router 8.5 out of 10. Range could be better and compatibility to some wireless G devices could be improved. Buying a Router is like rolling the dice in a sense.

Constant Reseting
Pros: Good-excellent speed, long range connection (located in basement with desktop, get good connection even in second floor of my house) Easy to use configuration site.
Cons: Constantly having to reset connection. Anywhere from once a week to multiple times a day. Initial setup was a pain, had to begin again over a dozen times (instructions were terribad), but finally worked. I didnt buy it from newegg :(.
Other Thoughts: When it works I've gotten almost 10mb/s down, and nearly 1mb/s up on test sites. When its not working, it is listed as a connection to an "unidentified network" and must be reset manually, requiring a walk down to the basement from wherever I am.

update
Pros: Stylish, space saving, great brand name..
Cons: Had to RMA, problem occurred again with constant signal drop outs, I never had a single problem like this with my WGR614 NETGEAR router.. I'll be receiving the WNR3500 Gigabit N Router instead, and from the reviews I don't believe I'll have a problem. I love NETGEAR products and I believe I just received a lemon is all. Another thing, I couldn't connect with my T-Mobile wifi at home cell phone.

Working on it..
Pros: Seems stable.. I've only had one problem so far.
Cons: Other day I had an issue with my Kubuntu/Linux X64 PC connecting to it. I disconnected the router, then plugged it back in to reset. I was then able to connect only to find that signal would intermittently cut off from time to time. While it was doing this, I checked the router and sure enough the lights weren't green letting me know that the connection was lost. I reset the router 5 times that day, I was ready to RMA untill finally I realized I should give the power button a shot instead of just disconnecting the power line. It's worked since with out any more problems.
Other Thoughts: Who knew this could be so touchy?.. I will update if I have more issues but for now I'm happy. Kinda annoyed that I didn't go with the higher model.. Gigabit connection for my server.

Did not work out of the box
Pros: Free tech support
Cons: After spending 1-1/2 hours on the phone with their tech support on a sunny sunday afternoon, I learned the router did not work and had to be returned. What a hassle.

So far so good
Pros: Excellent product so far. No problems at all during the installation, even when no manual is included. If you know a little bit about routers it should be a breeze to set it up.. I've yet to test it with +150 Mbps Wireless N connection, but with 150Mbps N and g devices it has worked great so far. I was lucky I did not have to change any settings as I read in other reviews
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: Even when refurb, it came in excellent condition. No CD or manuals though. Great Wireless N deal from around $25

Best router I've had
Pros: I love the sleak design & that its not to bulky. I forgot the range. But I did walk down the street just to test it & went out after a few hundred ft. Keep in mind i walk down a hill @ night. Overall I do enjoy it.
Cons: When i register the router with Netgear, I found out that it had a previous owner, but they renewed the warranty. But other user didn't have it very long, more than likely returned it fairly quickly for what ever reason. & it doesent' have the range of NETGEAR WPN824
Other Thoughts: I have always been an Linksys man, but after installing a LINKSYS WRT54G2 over a relative house, I didn't like it. Beside the Netgear took less space & a friend recommended it. Love using this with my Wii.

Amazing router
Pros: Very fast startup time. Easy to use beginners setup tools. Intuitive menus with explanations when accessing the on-board setup screen. Very light and does not overheat. This router really is super easy to install. I reach 270 mpbs very easily and most regularly.
Cons: Range seems to be somewhat limited, though I am placing blame on what is in my house, between the router and the computer.
Other Thoughts: You've gotta love remote access to this router's settings. Wow. :D

Unstable
Pros: Wireless is fast when it works. Like the look of the new design. Easy to configure.
Cons: Had to reboot 4 times within the last two 4 days. The wireless was off and on until I rebooted the router. At first I thought it was heat but it was not that hot compare to my last Netgear wireline router that replaced by this one.
Other Thoughts: Too late to return the router since the problem occurred after the last day I could return.

Good...for now
Pros: Wireless-N, Wide range, and it has a sexy black gloss to it
Cons: Black gloss is a fingerprint magnet and it tends to produce a weak signal sometimes
Other Thoughts: Ever since I moved in with my friend, we've been using this router for a while and it has been giving me problems. It runs at the stated 300MBps with wireless-n, but it gives out a bad signal to those who have wireless-g, and I'm one of them. I'm not saying that this is a bad router. I mean, it does the wireless-n that I want it to do, it just has a bad time when you have a computer with wireless-g. The router is just down the hallway from my room and I only get ~52% signal range. When I first got it, I could be outside and still get around 80%
I didn't buy this from Newegg. I got it from a local Best Buy for around $70 and I guess it was worth is

Pros: Does not drop signal. Super easy to set up. Does what it is supposed to.
Cons: Stands Vertically (not the best for the area I put it in, but I made it work).
Other Thoughts: I purchased this to replace a Linksys Wireless G router that was at the end of its life. It has been very dependable. I can not tell much of a difference in speed between the old router and the new. Newegg comes through again!

So far so good
Pros: Wireless N, good range, mulitple security options, easy set-up.
Cons: None as of yet.
Other Thoughts: I bought this because I wanted to upgrade my network to wireless N. I'm going to make some N access points for my PS3 and Xbox360 to get N speeds. I also have 3 computers (2 wireless) and a Ipod touch. This router handles them all with no hiccups. I live in an apartment on the second floor, I can go outside and pretty far away before my signal runs out. Good router so far.

great router
Pros: I bought this on amazoon for 30 dollars and since then, Ive bought 3-4 other ones for my customers. All have enjoyed its performance. Router has not had any major problems since I bought it. It has maybe dropped the connection a handful of times since I first bought it (about 6 months ago). Cant complain about that! Great interface, responds to all of my requests, navigation in interface is great, it doesnt sketch out on me when I tweak with it. great device!!!
Cons: push to connect I heard is somewhat a problem, I just disable it.
Other Thoughts: Ive had other routers and I would say this is one that has given me the least amount of problems. I would highly recommend it, just try and find it for 30 dollars like I did.

Very bad access point
Pros: The router is cheap so when you realize you wasted your money on it you don’t feel so bad.
Cons: I had to do a factory reset 4 times in the first day to make it work. With the access point 15 feet away from my laptop I get random drops in connection. It stays connected but there is no communication with the access point. I am unable to ping any websites or the router. After about 2-5 minutes the connection comes back to life.
Other Thoughts: Spend your money on another router.

Works great!
Pros: This router works excellently! Not to mention it has a reasonable price. The range is way better than my old linksys(granted the linksys wasn't wireless N), plus the control panel for it way better. This little thing looks really good to, nice and sleek.
Cons: None that I can think of!

Nice Router
Pros: It runs awesome, no real complaints. Get this router, for the price and quality you can't beat it!
Cons: nothing really, the signal can be weak through my cement walls but it still out performs the other routers I tried and returned first. Also though the signal is weak, the connection still tops out my 1.6 MBPS connection

Pros: Great range and works well the PS3 and WII. Has not dropped connection so far and have not had to reset it at all.
Cons: Tried firmware update with install and it did not work so had to reinstall which kind upset me a little.
Other Thoughts: Another quality product for Netgear and deal from Newegg. You guys rock!

Not bad
Pros: -Very small -No external antennas (could be bad for some) -Great overall router for price
Cons: -Feels like cheap plastic -Too light (slides everywhere) -Software that comes with it is AWFUL!!! (if you use it)
Other Thoughts: Not that bad of a router. Nothing too fancy but I was slightly disappointed in quality. But hey, for $30 of the the $80 price tag I can't complain too much.

Not user friendly, blocks VOIP
Pros: Fast speed when it works
Cons: Blocks incoming calls on my VOIP. Contacted Netgear several times for resolution, and nothing they suggested was of any help. Even disabling several security features was of no avail. If you have VOIP, or want to use file sharing programs, this is NOT the router for you. The security features are simply too rigid and apparently do not correctly disable.
Other Thoughts: I switched to Linksys and everything immediately worked again. Stick with Linksys.

Nice router
Pros: Great range for having internal antennas, decent speed on a wireless 'G' network. Full signal with all devices in my apartment. Haven't tested N yet for lack of hardware. Nice features such as static DHCP and QoS. Recommended to anyone who isn't addicted to dd-wrt as it is not supported as of this review.
Cons: I have had to reset it once in a while due to the DHCP server not working properly. And no dd-wrt support for those who are interested. Other than that no issues.
Other Thoughts: Toss the CD if you've ever setup a wireless router, or if you have half a brain for that matter.

Vista64 beware
Pros: Fast once connected. Netgear techies always seem to come through when I need help.
Cons: Software incompatible with Vista 64-bit. Not too big of a deal, but it lost a star because it didnt mention that anywhere on the description or packaging.
Other Thoughts: Netgear should warn people in advance of software incompatibility issues.

Pros: I was seeking a router a few months ago for my wifes laptop and looked into netgear for reliability and structure. Saw this model for the price they have it now and it was a steal. Went to local stores for price comparison and didnt even come close for the price newegg had it for. Decided what the heck! and turned out to be a great buy. It was easy to setup, especially with the easy setup cd, that came with the router. Great connectivity along with security, especially with the new wireless N technology. I added powerboost with my ISP and it was unbelievably fast when it came to web browsing. I would recommend this product to any of my customers. Thanks Newegg for the fast service and quality product!!
Cons: After downgrading my Powerboost from my ISP. Did notice signal loss only twice the same day i downgraded but hasnt happened since.

Good Luck
Pros: Great Hat Rack.
Cons: Aren't routers supposed to actually work?? Router broke on first day of actual use. Spoke with Tech Support from manufacturer for a half hour and they said they would replace if I paid for shipping (about 40% of cost I originally paid for router. I am NOT happy.
Other Thoughts: New router on the way. Wish me luck!

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to set up, good range, no issues so far.
Cons: The Manufacturer Warranty is way to short of a time period!!! The over-all quality of the products from Netgear has gone down a bit over the past few years. Hope they improve and get back to the higher standards. Other than that, no complaints.
Other Thoughts: Netgear....improve the warranty.

Fast and Idiot Proof
Pros: Price, range, ease of installation.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Completely idiot proof installation that was fast and smooth. Incredible signal and hasn't dropped signal ONCE. Seriously. I've had many routers by several manufacturers and this is the best so far.

Great at first, bad idea after 4 months
Pros: Left a review back in December 2008 (when I got the unit) saying I was happy. I've had good luck with every Netgear I've ever owned for the past few years.
Cons: Got it in December 2008, began the process of death in March 2009. Now, middle of April 2009, it has died the good death. Started needing reboots about once a week after 3 months. The need for reboots has become increasing common - now it needs it every day if not more than once a day. I've decided to toss it.
Other Thoughts: It's a shame - Netgear used to be a great brand. I've noticed reviews of Netgear products going steadily downhill over the years and didn't think anything of it due to my (what I now realize) good luck. Now I've been lumped in with everybody else in realizing Netgear's quality has gone to shambles in recent time. I won't be buying Netgear again - not just because of this experience, but because of the increasingly-common negative reviews I've read about just about all of their products here at Newegg and other sites. Due to the reviews of Netgear's recent customer service quality I've also decided that it isn't worth the headache & heartache of working through the warranty process. So, it's going in the trash & I'll buy another brand.

works great
Pros: Works great with my iphone with all security on. It has not dropped or diconnected yet. With online PC gaming, i havnt seen a decrease in speed at all. It has a discrete look without all the antennas.

Pros: I actually bought this at Circuit City before they all shut down, but I wish I bought it here, because I spent 80 bucks on it :-(.
I will say that it works INSANELY well with my my 360, pc and laptop (wireless), and having all 3 using it at once only slows my connection speed slightly.
On an average day, I will be playing TF2 on my pc while surfing youtube and other sites on my laptop with no lag on either.
Setup is a breeze. You WILL need the cd unless you at 100% sure of what you are doing.
All in all, a really good piece of tech.
Cons: that i didn't buy it here.

VOIP?
Pros: Fast wireless N, price, no reboots.
Cons: Now laying in a box in the garage. Will not work with my voip provider - Viatalk. I can recieve calls and talk all day long, but if I call out it will drop the call after 2-3 minutes. Tried DMZ, security, port forwarding, etc.
Other Thoughts: Had Netgear support work problem, pointed at Comcast, Comcast pointed at Viatalk, and Viatalk pointed back at Netgear. Plugged back in the old WR54G Linksys - phone works fine again. No firmware update yet.

Wired Solid, Wireless Quirky
Pros: Wired solution fuctions properly the entire time.
Cons: - I've tried all settings I can think of, from resetting to factory default and starting over to ensuring the 5mhz seperation for channel selection between the closest AP to keep interferance at minimal. The wireless just stops working. Whether I'm torrenting, streaming video, or just surfing from page to page, it just stops. Run ping tests to the gateway, no response. Release renew IP and/or power cycle, it starts working again. I've statically assigned an IP outside of the DHCP pool. It drops even quicker. This all happens while the wired continues to work like a glove. Maybe I have a bad unit, but it appears I am not the only one seeing this issue. I have a MAC that experiences the issue at the same time as my PC. This eliminates the "you have something wrong with your computer" comment =D. - Yes I continue to update to the latest firmware releases - Wish it were gigabit wired ports (got the unit for free, can't complain)
Other Thoughts: I do a lot with wi-fi on a daily basis. From setting up PGA golf events over a 6 mile mesh network, to beta testing new units for MSOs. I feel if you sat me down in the middle of a group of people who had a back ground in wi-fi I'd have one of the strongest knowledge bases anywhere. I'm still open to the idea I have a bad unit, however, due to the amount of people indicating their wireless issues are similar, I would venture to say that their is either a defect in the wireless radio, and/or an issue related to firmware regarding this device. When it's working, it works great =]. If I get another unit is the issue is resolved, I will be sure to post an update.

Great product
Pros: Got this unit 11-08. My son (a network tech) lives in Illinois and I live in Colorado, set it up for me from there. Has worked great ever since
Cons: Because the wireless N standards not set in stone at this time I can not get the higher speeds (300Mbps) on my sony laptop until a firmware is released for this router.
Other Thoughts: It will cause interference with a cordless 2.4ghz phone if it is close

Great router with a nice look
Pros: Very easy to set up just like other Netgear routers. Nice look and rubber feet(finally) on the bottom of the router to keep it from moving all over the place. Very fast and easy to use interface like other netgear routers I've used in the past.
Cons: CD for installation seems to be a little quirky, stopped reading and took a while to get it to read again..other than that no complaints so far.
Other Thoughts: more vents for cooling should have been put in the unit.

The best of the best
Pros: This is the best piece of electronics I have ever bought in my life. The setup is easy if you know what you are doing. I setup mine totally wirelessly, and it stays for over two months since then - never dropped a connection. My previous 614 was a disaster, kept loosing DNS all the time. I got fed up with it and bought this WNR2000 - highly recommend to anyone who needs a wireless router
Cons: Really nothing to say

Netgear Wireless Router
Pros: Easy setup using the cd, no problems. Connected my PS3 wirelessly with no problems.
Cons: 10/100 link for hard wire. Disappointed that it does not have a gigabit NIC. Wasting a lot of bandwidth going wireless.
Other Thoughts: Will look to see if if there is anything comparable with a 10/100/1000 NIC. Other than the NIC issue it would have gotten five eggs for being easy to setup.

WNR2000
Pros: It works....replaced my Trendnet router.
Cons: Wireless speed does vary....usually around/below 100 mbps...with Comcast.... old Trendnet got up to 130 mbps before fried.
Other Thoughts: For a primarily wired network...VPN work usage and home computing works great.

Power on problem
Pros: Works fine if you leave it continuously on.
Cons: Does not consistently work when power is applied without toggling the on/off button.
Other Thoughts: Do not buy this router unless you keep it continuously powered on. Otherwise, you may frequently have to cycle the on/off switch in the back on the router to get it to synch up with the network.

Great Starter for wireless N Routers
Pros: Great range for just the Router and no extentions for it. Love the 300Mbps transfer rate. Can watch movies from my PC to my Xbox 360 as clear as can be. Perfect for my needs.
Cons: Sometimes disconnects from the wireless connections if not being used. Hate seeing a message pop up when ever i am on the internet... "no connection would you like to work offline or try again" Might be something I did but it only started that after I set up this new router.
Other Thoughts: Great Router for the money and for no wireless connections it's fast.

Greta Range/Generally Reliable
Pros: Fantastic Range... 3,000 sq. ft. house, full signal anywhere in the house. generally reliable, GREAT TECH SUPPORT
Cons: Not easy to setup, disc unreliable, you will be calling customer service especially for wireless gaming consoles... I have to reboot this thing about once per month... that's a bit of a nuisance but it doesn't take away from the reliability factor.
Other Thoughts: I bought this specifically for my PS3 after Christmas last year (from a store before I knew about NewEgg) as the "G" router I purchased just didn't cut it in my 3,000 sq. ft. house with the PS3 downstairs and at the other end of the house.
It was a nightmare setting up (don't even expect to be able to do it yourself) and I was back and forth between Sony and Netgear to get it done but when I got to the point where I didn't need Sony anymore, the Netgear techs were knowledgeable and knew how to tweak it to get the best performance out of my PS3. I get 100% signal ANYWHERE in the house. I put a computer in the garage a couple of months a go, threw in an "N" Card and it fired up perfectly the first time.
The only issue I have is that about once or twice a month it has to be rebooted because it just stops working even on the wired ports. The thing works so well for the price that it's well worth that slight hassle as reboot is simply unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Solid router!
Pros: Very stable router, awesome range and connection speed. Make sure you upgrade the firmware to get QoS support; that's really helped to optimize my network's speed with torrents, servers, games, and web traffic running at once. The web interface is very simple to use and gives you a lot of options. Everything is explained really well if you don't know what an option does.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: For the price, you aren't going to find a better 802.11n router. Netgear always makes solid products, and this is no exception.

Works...
Pros: Once I got the patience to let my cable modem authenticate, setup was pretty easy. Despite thinking what's the point, the on-off switch is really a cool feature, especially if you don't feel like fishing around for the power plug or risk losing the cord in a myriad of cables. I like the vertical placement of the unit and the lack of external antennas, no noticeable lack of range for my small house.
Cons: No paper manuals (not too uncommon with anything these days). Wasn't free ( :-) ). I have not had the problems at all with it powering off or resetting or dropping connections.
Other Thoughts: This is a good basic wireless router that has some thoughtful design features, everything seemed like it was designed with some thought, despite just being a small box with a bunch of LAN connections and a power plug. Not a gigabit adaptor for those that may need the bandwidth, but it's also not as expensive as one either.

Pros: It's been running fine since I got it set up. There doesn't seem to be any speed loss going from being hard-wired to the modem to using the router.
Cons: Tech support was horrid! Tried to run the installation disk and computer kept freezing when I got to the point where it said to turn off the modem/unplug the network cord. Called Netgear and after about an hour their only advice was to "check the router on another computer" despite the fact I kept telling her I didn't have another computer. Played around with it myself, made progress, then had to call them back to get the password to set up the software. After another hour on the phone with them, they said I had a conflict so I'd have to call Dell. Called Dell, and after another round of trying different things they went through the online setup with me and we changed the channel it was set to. That was the only problem. Nice that they have 24/7 support, but between the wait times to actually speak with someone and the basic stuff they didn't even think to check, doesn't leave me with too good a taste in my mouth.
Other Thoughts: It was a good price for what so far seems like a good product. I would like to know, however, if they provide the ability to set it up with WPA security, why both Netgear and Dell suppot so adamantly recommend against setting it up that way and basically insist that you set it up with the less secure WEP.
Will try to remember to check back in a month or so to let you know if I'm still happy with it.

Drove me to switch brands
Pros: Easy to set up.
Cons: Constantly has to be reset for wireless connections. The power seems to cycle spontaneously, particularly during long downloads. It actually just reset while I was writing this review!
Other Thoughts: I "upgraded" to this one when my old WGR614, which was unbeatable for 3 years, started dropping connections. I just bought a router from a different company out of frustration with NetGear.

Problems
Pros: Great range and speed. I get 270Mbps while I am connected. I use a Rosewill RNX-N1 adapter. The router is also small in size.
Cons: I am a college student and I plug the router directly into the schools internet so there is no modem. My wired and wireless connections drop about every 5 minutes. I can unplug the router from the power and plug it back in and it works for about another 5 minutes. This constantly repeats. I have contacted the Netgear support with not much help in response. I am currently using my Linksys WRT54G in place of the router because I have no problems with the Linksys.
Other Thoughts: Great router if it would stay connected.

Great Product
Pros: The same size as my old Netgear WGT624 Looks cool Smaller then a Netgear WNR834 and feels alot heavyer and sturdy. Very well build compared to the Netgear WNR834 Stands Vertical Same ole Netgear interface Same features as my sisters Linksys WRT160N
Cons: Easy to put finger prints on because of the shinny plastic
Other Thoughts: My friend just bought a Netgear WNR834 and I had no idea this thing was smaller. I love the size of this thing. its the same size as the old netgear iam replacing it with the WGT624

surpassed expectations
Pros: very sleek product, with all the functions and bands you get price is nice
Cons: could have a little more weight to it had to staple my wires to the wall to keep this from falling back
Other Thoughts: i have three wired devices plugged in and the wires out weigh the router. The three wireless devices have very good - excellent reception so that made this worth every penny

King of the Hill
Pros: Looks simply beautiful. Signal strenght and range are phenomenal. I live in a 3 story townhome and this gives me 100% signal no matter where I am in the house. If you have ever done a router setup in your house before this thing is SO EASY to set up you dont even have to use the installation guide. I did everythign manually and it was up and running in 5-10 minutes. I dont know if this particular one comes in a kit, which also includes a 300mb/sec wireless adapter to use on another computer, but I bought the kit from a local electronics shop for 90 dollars. Thus you get a 300mb/sec router and a 300mb/sec wireless adapter for only 90 bucks!!!
Cons: None whatsoever.

Never Worked...FOR ME
Pros: Looks nice. Great price. Colorful array of lights.
Cons: I went through EVERY setting in the thing, THRICE! No go. I was able to surf OK directly connected, but of the two different wireless devices I tried, I was not able to get anything. I could connect to the router and get a valid IP address, but no surfing and couldn't even ping anything. Finally gave up.
Other Thoughts: I'd bought this to replace a new D-Link that kept losing signal. I followed the instructions to the letter just in case. Nothing. Manually configured like I'd do with any other router. Nothing. Finally, I put the D-link back in place and it worked perfectly with the exact settings I was using in this one. Bottom line; no matter what I did I was never able to surf wirelessly with this router. I'd like to believe it was something, anything, I might have done or overlooked, but I'm confounded if I know what it was! I can't NOT recommend it though, I rated it 2 eggs because it was useless to me. Perhaps in 17 years in IT, I've lost something...*sigh*

Pros: Fast. Works. Good range. Vertical orientation looks good next to my Surfboard modem. No dropped connections or need to reset the router. Web based interface is nice.
Cons: Cheap plastic case. Netgear stuff used to come in blue metal cases. My old metal cased RT314 wired router still works fine after 7-8 years.
Other Thoughts: Setup was easy enough. Works great with my macbook pro

Netgear WNR2000
Pros: Easy enough to install including changing security settings for a more security working environment.
Cons: Can't keep a connection. I have lost complete connection (for no reason) and have had to reset the router a half a dozen times. Well, today was the last straw. Wish I would have installed the unit sooner because now I am past the 30 days and can't return it. Wouldn't recommend this one, I'm going back to my year old Linksys

Excellent router
Pros: Good signal strength on my wireless N card throughout an admittedly small apartment. Worked out of the box with no problems.
Cons: Third party programs seem unable to log in to the router itself (no problem accessing the internet, just the router), even when given the correct password. This might be used for setting up a home network automatically, or some such, but largely should never prove to be a problem.
Other Thoughts: A good wireless router with LAN cable ports. The reset button is a nice touch.

Pros: Great range and signal strength, my LINKSYS WRT54GS could not even come close to the range and the signal strength.
Cons: Wish i had bought the NETGEAR WNR3500 for the 1gb lan but thats my bad for not looking.

Worth the Money
Pros: After setup, it works very well and is seemless. Use it for home network and have three computers networked wirelessly all within 60 feet with 54Mbps signal strength.
Cons: SETUP: Initially the router would could not find the network or even give a login screen. I had to hold down the reset switch for 30 seconds as it was powered up to clear it and then everything worked. This was an annoyance, but after setting it up I was able to add all of my computers and have had good luck ever since.
Other Thoughts: Most will have no problems setting this up, but if you do have problems try the reset, it worked for me.

Annoying Power Savings
Pros: Good Range and throughput. Convenient on/off switch on back of router
Cons: I use this router with 1 wired PC and several wireless PCs. When the wired PC shuts off or goes into low-power mode, the Netgear router also shuts off. I'm not sure if this is a feature, or if there is some sort of excess power draw that causes the problem.
If it's a feature, then it should be easy to turn off, but I can't find a relevant setting.
If it's a power issue, then there is an issue with the power-supply or the magnetics.

Where's my Tylenol?
Pros: After it's set up, it works well and meets all my needs. I'm using this with 2 PC's and a 360. The 360 and one PC are wired and the other PC is wireless using a Hawking HWDN1 adapter. It's going through 3 wall and a floor at around 25ft. I get an average signal strength of 85%/270Mbps with this combo.
Cons: The only con is the amount of time it takes to log into the router and make changes and how it only seems to work with MS Internet Explorer 6/7/8.
Upon entering the IP into the browser to log in, it will take around 5 minutes before it will prompt for a password. Then, when you chose a category, it will take another 5 load that page. And of course, another 5 to save the changes.... I have the same luck with different computers using XP and Vista.
Tech support isn't that great. They keep having me try things unrelated to the problem. I only read one other review with this problem, so at least I'm not the only one.
Other Thoughts: I finally have it all set up and I'll just use it till it fails. I'm might try Netgear again down the road.... maybe. I've had great luck with their products in the past.

Works good as a wireless router
Pros: Works good as a wireless router, but then again, my 2 PCs are right next to each so range is not much an issue, was just trying to spend a little to get rid of my old router with all the wires, do not have an XBOX etc for higher-end devices to provide a better review.
Cons: Its security features can not be disabled 100%, will not work with old sites like Sierra Gaming, no matter what you try, port forwarding, disabling its firewall, setting up PPoE bridge from my dsl modem configuration. Nothing helped and lost 3 weeks of not using this router at all.

b/g for this price?
Pros: Good router, not the best for torrents but still good.
Cons: Not many.
Other Thoughts: This current price for a b/g router is a JOKE, free shipping or not. If you want a b/g router get a llinksys and flash it with tomato. Free shipping or not, it is not worth it at this price.

Stable and Reliable
Pros: I could talk in high level networking jargon, but I am not going to. I believe this is one of the easiest and most reliable routers I have ever used. Configuration is a snap whether or not you are a beginner or an advanced user. I am well satisfied with the WNR2000. My previous experiences are that some routers are a little "hateful" if you will on setup, not this one.
Wireless range for this router is about average. I was expecting a little more. But I can not complain too much for a single level house. Wireless reception is great in every room.
Cons: I can only think of two cons at this moment. The first con is the plastic housing. I think the housing could be made stronger. Feels flimsy, but that says nothing about what is under the hood. Still is a great router. The second con is the range. For the price you would expect a little better range.
Other Thoughts: This is a top winner in my book on routers. I have delt with two other major brands and I would stack the NetGearWRN2000 against them. I highly recommend you try this router.

Works great, faster, reliable
Pros: Easy step by step set up. Boosted my wireless connection from 54Mbps to 135Mbps, sometimes hitting 150Mbps. Download speed went from 4000kbps to 6100kbps, upload speed from 380kbps to 430kbps. Range is very good
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: I would like to get the full 300mbps running from it, but I have already tripled the Mbps and getting max from my downloads. Love it.

Pros: Works Great , bought another one for a gift . The wireless range is a big improvement and haven't lost the wireless signal or had to reboot the router to pick up the wireless on my laptop ...
Cons: Found the set up works faster with out excessive delays using FireFox web browser .
Other Thoughts: so far this N router is reliable , but only time will tell ...

Best Wireless N Router
Pros: Fastest wireless & wired send/receive of any N series router I tested including the more expensive Netgear WNR3500 which did not deliver a better wired speed boost as result of the Gigabit 1000Mbps. The WNR2000 is approx 25% faster in overall wired speeds vs. my former Netgear WGT624 Super G router and 300% faster (108Mbps vs. 300Mbps) via wireless.
Cons: Had to manually change the wired IP address to avoid reconfiguring my ethernet printer server.
Other Thoughts: Surprisingly I achieved full 300Mbps when using a D-Link DWA130 USB stick for my notebook. The Netgear N sticks delivered some of the slowest wireless signals.
