Works As Promised; Easy to Setup
Pros: I replaced a DSL Modem and an ancient D-link wireless router with this single combination device. It has worked flawlessly for me so far. My primary home box runs Debian, and I was able to do all the setup from my browser. If I were setting it up from Windows, I wouldn't bother to install the software and would just set it up directly from a browser. Some Windows users may be better off installing the software and letting it walk you through the setup, but it is really straightforward to do all of the setup directly through the device itself. The default password for the admin account is "password" and is printed in very tiny print on the device itself.
I have my device set up deep in my basement, but I've been able to get good signal strength two floors up.
I have not attached a USB device as of yet so I can't comment on this.
Cons: The bright blue light on the WPS button is a bit much, but this is not a deal-breaker in my opinion.

Great value for the money, USB interface is awesome
Pros: I bought one of the refurbished versions of this modem/router from Newegg -- the price was excellent, and as far as I can tell this refurb unit was never used.
I didn't have too much trouble setting it up. The setup wizard just hung (it says it could take up to 4 minutes and I waited about 10), but after typing in the VCI/VPI, encapsulation method, user name/password, etc. manually, it worked. It has a nice "test" screen where you can determine if your problem is that bits just aren't getting across the interface at all vs. bits are going but authentication is failing.
The router is quite flexible overall, supporting the standard port forwarding options, static routes, uPNP, DynDNS, etc.
Oh yeah! Be sure to get the latest firmware -- memory sticks plugged into the back USB connected are now supported, and can be accessed as Windows shares (locally) or FTP or HTTP directories locally and/or over the Internet. VERY cool!
Cons: The various options for 802.11b/g/n and 2.4GHz/5.8GHz are a little confusing and not as flexible as I'd prefer. (As far as I can tell, if you want to just use older 802.11b or 802.11g devices and don't care aout 5.8GHz, you should select 270 of 130MBps 802.11n, as 802.11n is backwards compatible to 802.11b and g.)
Other Thoughts: Indeed, I'm willing to bet that of the small handful of people here who couldn't get this working, at least some of them didn't get all the DSL parameters set correctly, and unfortunately many ISP "tech support" personnel are pretty clueless when it comes to these matters. On the other hand, Netgear should insure their setup wizard doesn't hang ever in "weird" cases either, instead returning with an error that the various DSL parameters couldn't be determined automatically.

Great Product
Pros: Great Poduct. Works both 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ simultanelesy. I have 1 wireless printer, 2 Desk tops, 3 Laptops, 1-PRO Macbook, XBOX 360, LG Netflix TV and a Windows Home Server. The only thing wired to this router is 1-Desktop, LG TV and Home Server. Everthing Else is running wireless.
This router was easy to set up. I have ATT and ran the manual setup thru the web browser and the wireless setup configuration. It was an easy setup and worked instantly. The wireless range on this router is great all over my 2300sq ft home.
Cons: I can't think of nothing. Thru everything i could to it and gave NO problems whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: I bought this router thru newegg as a returned refurbished for $24.00. And i took a chance at it cause of the previous reviews. i have had my eye on this item for a while and couldn't see my self paying the $149.00 price on it due to the reviews. i upgraded from the DLink 655 with the new firmware and it is alot faster and better for the configurations

Great Router
Pros: This router is amazing. Was using Linksys WRT310N, and it kept dropping connection, even 20 ft away, using various laptops and iMac.
Feature-wise, this beats all of the others, especially the DLNA/SMB/FTP sharing utilizing an attached USB disk. This allows me to share my media drive across many different platforms, (Xbox360, PS3, XBMC, WDHDLive), without having to have a server or computer on.
Menu features are excellent, and as a network admin, I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of features that Netgear put in this consumer router.
I don't write many reviews anywhere, but I thought this product warranted one after using it for a few days. It makes my previous Linksys routers look bad, both in features, and performance.
Wireless performance and throughput are perfect. Streaming 1080p to PS3 no hiccups. Built in video mode for wireless eliminates jitter for heavy streaming activities.
Also, it is COOL to the touch, whereas my Linksys was HOT and burned when tou
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Great router, can't recommend enough.
As a network admin, this is THE best consumer router I've ever seen.

trash
Pros: none
Cons: Drops AT&T DSL connection every 30-60min, requiring reboot. Tech support doesn't speak or understand English.
Other Thoughts: After 5 calls to tech support, non-english speaking tech support "engineer" informed me that the problem was with AT&T. I advised that the 2wire modem I had before worked fine, and all I wanted was wireless-n....also, AT&T had nothing to do w/ the lockups......unless you long for an ulcer, don't buy this trash.

Great Product easy set up
Pros: My 2Wire went dead on me and bought this one from BB. I was really surprise how easy to set up this modem with my ATT DSL. I just pop in the CD and follow the menu and have no problem at all.
Cons: The LED lights are too bright!!
Other Thoughts: I bought a second one for a back up because my wife don't want to be out of the network at all. Not even for 5 minutes.. So I grab the recertified that was on here. This is really a good product.

Great product
Pros: All in one device that does pretty much everything you could ask for. Great interface, great feature set, great reliability.
It looks great (no antenna sticking out) and it can replace what used to require 2-3 devices.
Cons: Its more expensive than buying a modem and router seperately. Many DSL providers will provide you a free modem, so essentially you're paying about $70-80 extra for this thing.
Also the blue wireless light might look cool, but it can annoying in a bedroom (at night) or in an office (unprofessional). I wish netgear gave an option to turn it off.
Other Thoughts: I've owned one for about 2 months, and just bought a second one. Great product

Awful
Pros: Non
Cons: Does not Work... Looses connection. Netgear tech support does not exist. This was to replace my AT&T Wireless router/DSL box. This is a total waste of money......
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this product.

Wouldn't work
Pros: Wireless works great. Good speed and signal strength everywhere in my home, and dual band so my N and B/G devices are separate.
Cons: Tried 2 units and neither would connect to AT&T DSL service. Neither unit would detect my connection as PPPoE, and wouldn't authenticate when manually entering info (yes I was using the correct username/password).
Had to spend almost 6 hours between both units on support with AT&T and Netgear. AT&T was excellent, stayed on the line almost the entire time I was setting up, and very helpful with configuration (even though the free support claims to not help with third party hardware). Netgear wasn't so great. The first time they simply suggested the unit was faulty and to get another. The second time I got ran through their scripts (power cycle, reset, etc) and said they couldn't do anything for me unless I called the paid support line.
Other Thoughts: I would only give it one egg, but because I liked the wireless functions so much, I went ahead and gave it a 3. Needless to say, I won't be looking at Netgear for some time due to the problems and their lack of customer service.

Awesome device
Pros: Out of the Box setup AT&T DSL connected first time and is still connected. Much faster than my Motorola/linksys modem and wrt610n router that I replaced. I had also tried the TRENDnet TEW-635BRM which could not connect to AT&T.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I did the manual setup and entered my DSL and wireless settings to match my previous router config. The DGND3300 coroperated and connected the first time and everthing in my network - wired, wireless, gaming, ipod touch everthing was working faster. Very satisfied thank you Netgear for the device I've needed for the last five years

AWESOME!!!
Pros: This is much better than the 2wire that AT&T sends out with their DSL Wireless Kit. Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz work very well for the mixed computers that are in the house.
Cons: None. If you haven't setup a router before, I don't find it to be that hard to setup. It's not as easy as an Airport Extreme or Time Capsule.....

Works great!
Pros: It works great, and seems more stable than my old stand-alone DSL modem. Very full-featured! It allows me to separate my wifi-n and wifi-g networks using different frequncies and SSIDs. It provides good status info including the ADSL connection link features like speed, line attenuation, and noise margin.
Cons: It checks for a firmware update every time you log on the built-in web management server (until you turn off this feature).
Other Thoughts: I didn't even open the installation software -- I just used the built-in web server management interface. I did a mostly manual set up by filling in the appropriate web forms, but had to let the setup wizard auto-detect the connection type since I didn't know some ADSL particulars (VCI, VPI, and multiplexing method) for my ISP. It quickly figured those out for me.
I'm using this with a wifi-n bridge to a remote end of my house, and many wifi-g devices throughout the house (e.g. laptops, MacBooks, iPhone, iPod touch, Nokia N800, etc.). Not sure about other reviewers, but my 2.4 Ghz wifi-g signal works great from my basement through the 2nd floor of my house. Probably works fine on the roof, too.
You can choose for logging info and alerts to be emailed to an address of your choice, or it can broadcast syslog data to your private LAN (or send it to syslog on a particular system on your LAN).
I'm buying another one for my sister to use.

Stay away
Pros: Word filter, power saving mode
Cons: Set up CD only 32-bit windows OS, por 2.4ghz,
Other Thoughts: says it will broadcast 5 and 2.4 Ghz at the same time but I can't get any G device to recognize it except in same room. max speed is 270 Mbps at 5 Ghz. Max speed for 2.4 Ghz is 54 Mbps. 2.4 reception almost nothing. Is this a 5Ghz draft-N and a 2.4Ghz G in one box? Big bright blue light on top is blinding. Good thing you can turn it off. Set up CD only for 32-bit windows operating system. Recycled set up software. The few things I did like about it was word filter for web sites and schedualed wireless broscast times. Power saving mode pretty standard with routers now. I was testing out to compair to a Belkin N+ I just got. I highly recomend the Belkin N+ over this. Netgear can not compete. Should of listened to every one about Netgear.

Overkill - but good
Pros: Does everything...even more than you probably need. Need N support? check Need A support? check Need B/G support? Check Need DSL modem? Check
Really is full featured. Sos far I haven't had any issues and I pleased with performance compared to my old dsl modem
Cons: expensive. This is definitely not cheap. All-in-one. If modem fails, or wireless break, the whole unit suffers outage.
Other Thoughts: I prefer seperate components, but I'll give it a try for now. I've been meaning to upgrade to N and this lets me run on 5ghz for my A/B/G cards which performs better than my G on 2.4ghz while still support B/G for legacy and N for my newer gear. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but you get what you pay for...and its $50 less than local Blue and Yellow retailer "BB"
