Pros: Hard to say, Win7 x64 would not recognize any driver either from Linksyys or the chipset manufacturer.
Cons: Linksys support for Win7 x64 is not there yet. DO NOT believe the Win7 compatibility charts. The drivers do not work!

Windows 7 not happy
Pros: Its got good reviews, its made by linksys / cisco, it got here rediculously fast (thanks new egg). I have internet on my PC again!
Cons: Was a real PITA to install on windows 7. I have windows 7 running, and I went and got the new drivers off of linksys site, as I know having a new operating system the drivers were probably not usable from the box. Seemed like linksys support was going to give me exactly what I needed and I was real happy, until it still did not work. Linksys support says to download windows 7 driver then just go to device manager to update the driver. That would not work for me, I had to use the install disk that came with it, and then just have the driver in the same folder for it to recognize.

Works w Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Pros: downloads and streams video well. came with a dock which i think is better cause dongles can break.
Cons: was scared when i first got it cause the picture from newegg didn't match the one that i got. checked the model number and it was the same, figured it was a version 2.0 and turns out it was.
Other Thoughts: Works well with windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. installed with no issues, didn't use the disc to install. downloaded the vista 64 bit drivers from linksys. went into device manager and manually installed drivers. just need to point to the folder you saved too and it'll accept the vista drivers

Older Model
Pros: I have had this for over a year and it amazingly fast. I use this in a cinder block house with it set up at one end of a livingroom. It projects 40 ft down my hall and through a door and I still get streaming video on an old amd .17ghz thoughrobred with 512mb
Cons: The old model has that boxy look to it and the board is not well supported so the usb soders come loose very easily there is a new sleeker design that is much better. They both have the same upc and model number so its hard to tell what your getting.

Works perfectly
Pros: Worked like a charm with Windows 7 Ultimate. All you have to do is plug it in and Windows will automatically install the drivers. As easy as can be. This product is lightning fast and has great reception. The USB extender and dock work great!
Cons: None found
Other Thoughts: Perfect Wireless USB Adapter. Must buy.

Worked for a week then garbage
Pros: During the week it worked, it worked great. Easy install and got a very good reception.
Cons: Got this product and it worked great for a week with the Linksys software. Then, one morning after booting my computer, the software would no longer connect to the network. Trying to get help on their forums just had someone telling me that the software wasn't compatible with XP Service Pack 3 (except it worked fine with SP3 only a day prior). Calling their help line ran me around in circles with Linksys eventually saying that they couldn't help me. I'm running it now through the XP software and getting maybe 2-3 out of five bars and pretty lousy performance for games and other higher bandwith stuff. I'm staying far away from Linksys products from now on -- this one was a HUGE disappointment.

Works Great with Windows 7 x64
Pros: Windows 7 x64 was able to install this straight out of the box. Currently connecting to my mixed mode g/n network at 150Mbps.
Cons: I did check Linksys' support website for updated Windows 7 drivers, but there are none, not even old ones listed. I did this BEFORE I had tried just plugging the adapter into my computer.
Also, spendy.
Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd USB -N wifi adapter and it is by far the fastest and most reliable, but then again the most expensive.

WUSB600N does not work with Windows 7 Ulitmate!!
Pros: No Pros for Windows 7!!
Cons: I cannot believe that this device does not have win7 drivers available that work. Don't waste hours like we did looking for them online - nothing works. I wasted $70 on this and cannot use it .... Cisco get a huge thumbs down on this one.

Works Great For A While
Pros: Works perfectly with Vista 64 using downloaded Linksys drivers for an introductory period. (2-3 months for me)
Cons: After the introductory period it dropped me from the network all the time. Sometimes it stays up for a day, other times it can't hang on for more than 15 minutes. At which point it can't find a single wireless network and needs to be unplugged. It even dropped me while writing this review the first time and it hadn't been plugged in for 20 minutes.
Other Thoughts: Two eggs because it worked for a little while.
I worked with the Linksys tech support plugging it in, taking it out, reinstalling the drivers, rebooting my computer, and all that other stuff that I had already done. It stayed connected for a day before going back to its old tricks.
Don't buy it. Linksys has no concern, care, or desire to support this product.

BEWARE No Windows 7 Support
Pros: Dual band
Cons: No Windows 7 support from Linksys currently
Other Thoughts: At the current time (January 2010) Linksys does not support this adapter (WUSB600N) on Windows 7 and there is no Windows 7 driver available from Linksys. Do not believe the Linksys Windows 7 Compatibility FAQ that says otherwise. If you wish to have support from Linksys for this adapter on Windows 7, verify that Linksys has a Windows 7 driver to download before buying it.
Note also that hardware version 1 of this adapter, which is what you will probably get if you order a recertified or refurbished adapter, or if your vendor has old stock, may never be supported by Linksys on Windows 7.
There are Windows 7 drivers available for this adapter from other sources (Windows 7 RTM includes one, and the chipset manufacturer, Ralink, has one), but they are not supported by Linksys.
Linksys will probably support hardware version 2 of this adapter on Windows 7 eventually.

Linksys wireless problems
Pros: Newegg is great for quick shipping and if you have to return an item, they follow through without a problem.
Cons: Now for Linksys! Their customer support needs help. The people there are not very knowledgeable and they do not return calls as they stated they would. So much for "award winning customer service" I had all kinds of issues to get the WUSB600N to work on my new Windows 7 64 bit CPU. Their web site said this adapter was certified for Windows 7, but they do not send a CD with a driver that works. I called them and spent many minutes waiting to be connected and then going through the problem. "Just download the Vista 64 driver". It does not work. Finally I tried under full CPU stress the XP 64 bit driver and it worked! No help from Linksys on this either. So if you have a 64 bit Windows 7 CPU -- be creative and try multiple drivers to find the one that works. The people at Linksys have no idea!!!
Other Thoughts: Once I found (and I stress I found) the problem with the driver, the WUSB600N is working well. I am giving a low rating mainly for the lack of quality support, follow up and for not providing the proper driver with there product from the beginning. Windows 7 has been out since October and in Beta form for a year. So why is Linksys so slow!

Pretty Good
Pros: Gets a better signal than other adaptors have gotten. Easy set-up for XP system
Cons: Still flakey at times. Signal strength ranges from 45% to 90% within seconds.
Other Thoughts: I must have some interesting architecture because it's always been a pain to get a signal from 30' away in my house (a single story ranch). But, after ages of dealing with very weak signals, I've tried this adaptor and the appropriate Linksys router. I'm rating the adaptor here because it's proven much better than the previous Type N adaptor I had bought. This one set up easily and has delivered a much stronger reception. But, although I can't complain about going from 5 Mbps to around 117 Mbps, I still have wide variance in signal strength. Sometimes it's "good", sometimes "low" and it can shift from 40-50% to 80-90% in seconds for no obvious reason (no phones, microwaves, etc). I'll take it for being superior to anything else I tried but I can't say it's perfect.

Nice Piece
Pros: This adapter works very well for my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit operating system. Good range and good performance. Does NOT get hot at all!
Cons: Price, Price, Price, and the fact that they don't have an official windows 7 driver yet. You need to download the Vista 64 bit driver at their website; then it works just fine. Would have given a 5 without price factored in.
Other Thoughts: One note: On the 2.4 GHz bandwidth, I have a 130 Mbps transfer rate. On the 5.0 Ghz, I get 270 Mbps

The answer to my problems
Pros: I recently purchased an HP Pavilion PC using Windows 7 64-bit OS and had no problem installing the first time! (use Admin function/Vista comp. setting) Connected to N router without a problem.
Thanks to the guys on the review list, this has solved my internet networking from 1 house away. A little bulkier than I'm used to for a USB device, but it doesn't get ultra hot or anything.
Cons: Had to search online for hours to find it - and had to employ Compatibility for a different oS to make it function on a 64 bit setting.
Other Thoughts: Overall, the best thing you can buy from linksys... no freezing, no problems.

Windows 7 64-bit
Pros: Convient placement, sleek design, Wireless-N. So far, other than my con it has performed as I've expected.
Cons: The Windows 7 64-bit Driver from the Linksys website for the v2.0 adapter is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit! (Ha!) You have to use the Windows Vista 64-bit driver for it to work!
Other Thoughts: I haven't tested with a wireless-N router yet, that will arrive on Tuesday.

Decent Adapter, a pain of an install
Pros: Its pretty fast. an upgrade over my previous wireless adapter. Small and comes with a stand.
Cons: Had an amazingly frustrating installation. Windows 7 drivers were not working correctly regardless of where the drivers came from (cdrom, linksys website, and from windows 7). Putting the install in vista compatibility mode fixed the problem.
Other Thoughts: Install it using vista compatibility mode, and with admin mode!

Reposting of solution for connection problems
Pros: Past reviews have a solution for connection problems.
Cons: Power Consumption can cause what seem like random disconnects.
Other Thoughts: According to a past review by "J", the solution to the connection problems is a powered USB hub. Apparently, this device requires more power than some systems can provide. My adapter should arrive tomorrow and I'll post my review when I try it.

only 54 mbps?? ripoff
Pros: An alleged N device only works at G speed.

Not for Win 7 64 bit!!!
Pros: Looks good!
Cons: I received ver 2... the newest version. Would not work with my Win 7 64 bit desktop. It worked just fine on my Win XP 32bit laptop so i know the adapter works fine. I spent 2 hours with linksys tech support troubleshooting and they gave up!!! Their tech support is really good usually however. Please not that my Win 7 desktop works just fine with an older version belkin wirelss N router so it is not the computer or win 7 which is bad either. In conclusion I would hold off on purchasing if you have Win 7 64bit!!!
Other Thoughts: Still looking for a good wireless adapter for Win 7 64bit :(

Not working for me
Pros: never worked = no pros their support team tried hard
Cons: never did get it to work. shows up as if the driver installed just fine, but the adapter won't enable and diagnostics shows the device won't start.
Other Thoughts: i know window 7 64 bit is new, but this is what compatibility testing is all about. i'm too old to spend my time debugging someone else's lousy work. too bad, too. i liked their products.

Works with Windows 7 64bit
Pros: After much research & 3 wireless adapters that didn't work with my new Windows 7 64bit system I purchased this with hesitation however it worked beautifully! The install CD contained the driver, it picked up my existing Wi-Fi network and I was back on line after thinking I'd never get back on line wirelessly again!
Cons: Well I suppose time will tell if there are any since I've only had it 2 days... no cons so far...
Other Thoughts: Simply awsome!

Outstanding
Pros: Easiest adapter I have ever had to install. I have three floors and a basement, the worst signal I got was "good", which equals four bars out of five. Excellent product for any type of computer.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I am glad newegg does not use DHL anymore, now things get delivered overnight regularly the way it used to be.

Powerful
Pros: Powerful. It picks up wireless access points and doesn't drop them. The speeds (at least for what I have to work with) are downright incredible and surpass anyone else's wireless card. Simple setup and doesn't require much system resources; about 5MB memory usage for the process. Very easy to use and comes with a docking platform to plug into your desktop so you don't have to plug it in the back somewhere every time.
Cons: So far, none although the ability to add an external antenna might have been nice had the card itself not been so awesome.
Other Thoughts: Cisco lives up to their name. Superb piece of equipment.

Works with Vista
Pros: Works good with vista used it to replace an old Linksys Wireless USB Adapter I had that had no drivers for vista. Home Theater PC works great on the wireless.
Cons: sometimes has a hard time finding the network on a cold start even though it is saved as the default. Have to search for network and connect sometimes.

Great Product !!
Pros: Instantly, adapter was recognized by XP operating system. I am connecting at 240.0 Mbps. Adapter stationed on top of monitor. Using router D-Link DIR-655 which is approximately 40 feet away from router.
Cons: Signal strength constantly changes from "Good" to "Excellent". Nevertheless, speed never changes from 240.0 Mbps.
Other Thoughts: Great buy at a great price. Product works great. No complaints !!

Meh
Pros: 1. Sleek 2. Somewhat small 3. Fast when close to router 4. Dual BAND!
Cons: 1. Obviously more obtrusive than my built in wifi 2. Still can't get a GREAT signal where I have my laptop!
Other Thoughts: I have this paired with a Linksys WRT610n router and wrote a more in depth review on it but using this adapter and router combo at 10ft I can get 270Mbps. 300 is supposedly what N can be around but I couldn't get it there. Where the laptop sits the N signal has to go about 100ft diagonally and past a few walls so I only hit 45Mpbs if I'm lucky which is about the same as the built-in G I was using prior to that. If I get in direct line of site down the hallway it does a little better. Either way the wife can sit in the office while I'm on the desktop and surf the web at 270Mbps than my 100Mbps LAN connection so everyone is happy I guess. One day I will have a house and put the router in a central location. Good adapter and should be around for awhile.

Errors with XPsp3 - linksys
Pros: Did not get that far.
Cons: Tried to install on 2 XPproSp3 machines. Once under direction of linksys customer service. Working against WRT150N Linksys router. Failed to connect x 2. Linksys says they have software issues with SP3 and that I should downgrade to SP2. Should have been in specs.

Perfectly Sufficient
Pros: It does exactly what you need it to. After the usual driver installation, it's a simple plug away to your wireless network. An excellent receiver for wireless networks.
Cons: No particular cons, though the size is a little larger than you might think.

Great Adapter
Pros: The adapter works right out of the box. You need to use an installation CD, but that doesn't take very long at all. It comes with a USB stand so you don't have to have it hooked in a USB slot sticking out. It also works well with Linksys Wireless-G connections really well.
Cons: It's a bit bulky and on your computer, if the USB ports are close together, then it can cover them up easily.
Other Thoughts: I just ordered a new Linksys Wireless-N router because I need more speed on my internet so I've only tried this adapter with Wireless-G but it's designed for Wireless-N so it shouldn't be a problem.

Great Card
Pros: Great card with great speed much better then the standard one in the laptop I got. Was purchased as an alternative for a OSx86 project and has worked very well with ralink drivers and works natively in Linux as well. definitely not a regretted purchase. Great price for the card.
Cons: None really is a little bigger then i though it was going to be. but semi expected.
Other Thoughts: Have already lost the cap to the usb lol

Tuff, Tuff, Tuff
Pros: Worked on windows XP, Vista and my UbUnTu install (using NDISWrapper). I put this device through absolute ****
Cons: Not a one!
Other Thoughts: Tuff, I baked it in the sun for a year, let it sit in the rain (powered, submersed), froze over in the winter. Thought it died, nope! I just took it apart, scrubbed the mod off with a old tooth brush and soap, a few minutes with a hair drier later, it was back up and connected to my aparemtns free wifi service.

WOW! This thing is tuff!!
Pros: Worked with XP, Vista & Ubuntu. Easy install on windows, NDIS wrapper worded great under Linux. Please read my other thoughts!!! This thing is TUFF!!!
Cons: Totally, cannot think of anything bad.
Other Thoughts: I live in an apartment with free-wifi, the signal was weak from my bedroom so I decided to put this USB device outside… I AM AMAZED at what this device can take!!! I wrapped it in two sandwich bags, then wrapped it in duct-tape then hung it off my balcony from the a USB extension cable. I laughed with my co-workers at this setup and joked about the icicles handing from it one winter (seriously). The next summer it rained almost constantly (North Carolina). When it wasn’t raining it was baking in the 95-102+ heat (direct sunlight). Ok, I guess it had enough after about a year and a half of this utter-abuse… it finally died. So, I took my home made enclosure apart to find that the device was seriously, totally immersed in water. I have no idea how long it was under water, but it had been awhile because it was moldy. LOL, this thing is awesome! I’m getting another one today (I’ll take better care of it this time!!!).

Very nice
Pros: I love this little network adapter! I use it with my desktop so it's always on and I have had no problems with it overheating. It sinked up with my network with no problems and it's super fast I stream a lot of video to my ps3s using a wireless n bridge and I get no breaks in my video even with HD!
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Linksys WUSB600N adapter, Linksys WRT160N router, linksys WET610N bridge

Pros: Installation was very simple and straight forward using the software provided. Connected easily with my Linksys wireless N router with no problems. Provides top speed of 270 mbs consistantly.
Cons: The signal can be degraded when used very close to other wireless devices which are not connected to your system.
Other Thoughts: This type of connection can be intermittant if there are significant sources of stray signals being generated by items such as microwaves or other wireless connections which can interrupt an otherwise good signal from your computer.

Not worth the $$$ for me
Pros: Works good at 802.11n 2.4 GHz setting... Speed is similar to my cheap Atheros-based 802.11n PCI card.
Cons: Barely works at 802.11n 5GHz setting - significantly slower than the 2.4 GHz setting (at the same distance) and constant signal drop-outs... No other devices in the house use 5 GHz frequency and all of the closest access points (at the other nearby houses) are using the 2.4 GHz frequency so I doubt that there's any signal interference.
Other Thoughts: I bought this adapter because I wanted to use 5 GHz frequency, however it doesn't seem to work well with my Dlink DIR-825 router... Guess I should've bought the Dlink-branded adapter instead :-(

Nice Adapter...
Pros: Connects consistently at 270Mbps to WRT320N router. Easy to set up although only used CD for drivers. Remote USB docking bay is nice.
Cons: Kinda big, connection light not very bright, little pricey (but free ship).
Other Thoughts: Get it to go with WRT320N

pure speed
Pros: The drivers for XP are 100% compatible with Windows Server 2003. This adapter connects through a couple of thick, metal and wooden frame walls where a wire is impossible; succeeds where all other 802.11G & 2.4GHz adapters just couldn't hold onto the connection. Placed full load to stress test the file server, and results are great. Much lower latency for video and audio streaming. Windows rates the connection at 300Mbps, sometimes slows to 270Mbps. This is how a Draft N adapter should perform! I've used 3 different wireless adapters prior to this and they all failed miserably. This is the only one that I can highly recommend.
Cons: Garbage drivers on CD. Get the latest ones from the site, and just point device manager to the drivers. Goes slower on 2.4GHz band & didn't get past 130Mbps. Worth every cent, but darn expensive. Enormous size for a USB device; not ideal for notebook users.
Other Thoughts: This is ideal for a desktop computer when running a wire is infeasible. This connects to a Linksys WRT610N, and runs on the 5GHz band. If you can get this on a 5GHz 802.11N access point with wide channel bonding, it is an equivalent to a 100Mbps wired connection.

Bad with Win XP SP3
Pros: Works great in general.
Cons: Drops connection when accessing streaming sites. Contacted Tech support and they said that it does not support Win XP SP3 well.
Other Thoughts: Almost all N-adapters have trouble with Win XP SP3 which leaves me no solution.

Works good on my sisterm
Pros: Does both 2.4 and 5 GHZ. Works with WAP2 and AES security. Connection don't drop, and 5 GHZ N band works fast.
Cons: Included software. Would recommend just using the driver and letting windows manage the connection.
When I left the included software manage the connection, it would connect to neighbors when I didn't want it too, and if you are sharing files, this can be a security risk.
Other Thoughts: Settings I'm using: 5 GHZ, N band, Wap 2, AES ciper. Wireless router: D-link dir-825 Operation system: XP Pro

Didn't wotk well with Vista 64
Pros: worked for a day and had good upload and download speed from speakeasy speedtest.
Cons: stopped picking up the signal after a day and would not work again after.
Other Thoughts: I've gone through 5 adapters and the issue is not the adapters, but drivers for vista 64. If you have a 32 bit system, I'm sure it's fine. This did have the fastest connection speed of all the ones I tried.

Everything Work Prefect!!!
Pros: Works prefect with Netgear WNR3500 (up to 300Mbps with 2.4Ghz(7,11 Channel)(WPA2)(remember to change Auto to Long Preamble)) & WNDR3300 (up to 270Mbps with 2.4Ghz (11 Channel)(WPA2)(Long Preamble is default itself(good)). Wow. How it is so amazing? Yes! Linksys is working with Netgear router and Different kinds of routers that can work with Linksys USB device. I love this one because this one is the best one. When I brought Netgear WNDA3100 adapter that does not have very strong signal. This one is very weak. I will buy it again!!!
Cons: I have a concern that I did download from Linksys website without use CD. Download from Linksys website is not good enough to get a good SIGNAL. So, Please DO NOT DOWNLOAD from Linksys website. The CD is already give to you when you open the box, that CD includes information & software for device & this CD is very good to download on any OS (Windows Vista is work with this CD).
Other Thoughts: Please use CD only not try to download from website. Thank you. my information: HP ze2315us laptop, OS: Windows Vista Ultimate, 2GB, and 100GB HDD.

Wish I never bought it.
Pros: Well I was at 250-275 Mbps most of the time, downloads were fast when available.
Cons: The signal goes up and down constantly. It sometimes drops completely and loses the entire connection and starts back up again. This was terrible for online gaming because I was constantly being kicked out of games for dropping a connection.
Other Thoughts: The WUSB600N broke today, because I accidently stepped on it. I started using my older wireless-G adapter from Linksys and now I have a stable connection that doesn't drop ever. I thought the unstableness from the WUSB600N was from my distance from the router (I'm 3 floors and a wall or two away from the router). But my wireless-G adapter works great, and its a refurbished adapter.
I wish I wouldn't have spent $70 on this last year, but I'm glad it broke today because my connection is 10x better now.

Good while it lasted.
Pros: My desktop is at least 50ft. away from the router and it worked great. Setup was a breeze, simple security setup, then was good to go. I was able to play plenty of games with very little incident. BF2 server about 600miles from me and I still had a ping of 16!!! For WoW i had to restart connection and program every now and then but still great overall. Lasted like this for a little over a year.
Cons: About 1 week previous to writing this the ping to the BF2 server above started to spike like crazy (literally one second its 16 the next its 700 then 200 then 1000!!!) did the usual restart all possible problems....to no avail. Reset my router with no security, it started to work again. A day later my ping started to do the same thing. Started the same shopping list, this time nothing worked. I even did a tracert, tried setting up the ip manually and still nada. Now it doesn't even recognize any...yes ANY network (even my neighbors' ;)). I called Tech support hoping for some kinda help if not a push in the right direction just to find out that the person who got the job could barely speak English but evidently enough to tell me that my warranty for service expired THIS MONTH!!!! and that i could renew it for $39.99 for 6 months!! yes yes i know there isn't conspiracy to kill the products the moment the warranty is up, but still it is quite convenient that it happened.
Other Thoughts: Like i said it was great while it worked just inconvenient that it died the month the warranty was up. As far as recommendation goes, If you wish to risk buying a new adapter every year be my guest, but at 70 bucks a pop (at the time i bought it) id rather buy something cheaper or more reliable.

So Far So Good
Pros: Cool, sleek new look; no antenae sticking up. Much less lag. We have 6 computers running through this router total, 5 of them wireless. We play World of Warcraft simultaneously without the lag that we had with G.
Cons: Very expensive to upgrade the whole house at once.
Other Thoughts: I opted for the dual N instead of the G/N combo for not much more money.

Awful
Pros: Able to stream regular videos from computer to xbox and works for the most part.
Cons: This is my second one. I took the first one back because it would constantly lose the connection. In order to get it back, I would have to physically disconnect it and reconnect it. I took it back to BB for a new one. After a few days this one started doing it too, just not as often...maybe once or twice a day as opposed to every 10 minutes like the last one. I honestly think this is the reason they include a USB extension to have it sit on your desk. It makes it convenient for me to power cycle it so it'll actually work. If it would just stay online all the time, I would have no issues with this product.
Other Thoughts: I bought this unit because I moved and had to make my desktop wireless. I use my desktop as my main computer and also as a media center server to watch movies and play music on the xbox in the main room. Other than the connection dropping a few times a day, it's fine. I didn't take it back a second time because I didn't want to go through the hassle of repackaging it and taking it back down to Best Buy. The drop connection issue wasn't enough for me to deal with the hassle of taking it back. So I'm suffering through, but I urge people considering this product to look elsewhere.

Nice Wireless USB adapter
Pros: Fast install using mfg. disk, then went to mfg website to check for updates. Had it running in no time on my trusty laptop. Fast internet speed. I don't know if it truly is 12 times faster, but it is maybe three times faster. With my new D-link Wireless N router, it seems to have solved the few dead spots with my previous wireless G network. Worked well with my D-Link router.
Cons: Died on the 32st day after purchase, so the dealer would not let me replace it. I kept the install disk and cable but not the box, so I don't know if the mfg will allow me to return it. It is really frustrating as I had gotten used to the higher throughput peed and had to fall back on my wireless G PCMIA card. It seems to be a flimsy connection between the USB stick-outy-part that actually goes into the computer. Grrr.
Other Thoughts: It was great while it lasted.

Works very well
Pros: Works perfectly with the WRT610N. Upgraded my linksys G pci card to this along with the wrt610n router, and all I can say is wow.... My Internet downloads on the wireless client are finally as fast as my gigabit wired downloads. 2Mbps over wireless sure is nice.
Cons: Cost... Should be $15 cheaper imo.

Great
Pros: It was an easy setup. I read the other reveiws before I bought it. I am so glad that I did. I use WinXP Pro 32bit. AMD Deasktop, 3.0gz DualCore, Nvidia, 4 G RAM. Anyways, most of the people talked about stability, that is what sets this one apart from the rest (even the 54GC USB brother of this one). I haven't been dropped. I am accessing a linksys"G" router and it saw it immediately. I am 3 walls away and I get 3 bars, but it doesn't seem like 3 bars, seems like 5. I am very impressed and HIGHLY recommend paying the extra $30 for this guy instead of the "G" series that seems to have a lot of compatibilty issues.
Cons: None, CD's worthless.
Other Thoughts: People talk about the bulkyness, I have not found that to be true, I was able to plug it in side by side with other USB cords right next to it. INSTALLING: Ok, don't USE the CD. It's all a waste of time. Rather, download the driver from the website. Unzip the file to anywhere you can find it. Then go into Device Manager, right click on the Question Mark and click "update driver" then navigate through to a specific location and find the "Driver" Folder and then your appropriate OS. It updated, and within seconds, it found my network, within seconds I was up and running. Very Stable. I was up and running in 5 min tops..

Works.
Pros: Plugged it in, and it works on my i7 - 64 bit machine with Vista.
Took a little bit of work to download and install drivers for Ubuntu to work correctly, but appears to do the trick.
Cons: Took some work to get operational with Ubuntu, but working now.

yes
Pros: this is an excellent wireless adapter.. easy setup, works great, fast connection, no interruptions. running off a linksys wrt54g router 2.4ghz (yea G not N): the router is downstairs 2 rooms away we also have 2.4 ghz wireless phones and 2.4 ghz wireless surround speakers downstairs between my computer and the router. ~48Mbps
Cons: none so far.. have yet to try on an "N" network or using dual-band feature or encryption
Other Thoughts: does what i want it to do, can't wait to upgrade the rest of the system and see what kind of speeds i run

Doesn't work well with Vista 64
Pros: Easy to set up. Very fast when it works.
Cons: I had to return this product the first day of use. Installed the drivers, plugged it in and was watching streaming video as a test and 30 minutes later the device dropped the network connection and went into the network discovery process. I had to manually set the network. 15 minutes later it dropped the network again. Rinse and repeat several times. After researching the issue I found other Vista 64 users having the same exact issue.
Other Thoughts: If using Windows Vista 64 do not buy this product. It is a roll of the dice as to whether or not it will work properly. Instead go with the comparable D-Link product for wireless N.

Satisfaction
Pros: Very fast, stable connection. Easy installation. The base that the stick plugs into is stable and works well. I am approx 25ft away from a WRT600N router through one wall and the connection is excellent and I have not experienced one connection problem in over 2 months. I am using the 5GHz band to connect. No problems as of yet, it gets my 5eggs of approval. New Egg, you rock!
Cons: The connection software is useless. There doesn't seem to be an option to enable/disable the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands. I am using the 5GHz band only and have no use for the 2.4GHz.
Other Thoughts: Everyone that's used a PC knows that the CD is useless, and that the connection software is always a joke. Download the driver from the Linksys website, and install it through the device manager by clicking the update driver button. Then, just let XP/Vista manage the connection

Works well, with tweaking on Ubuntu Linux
Pros: High, sustained transfer rates. Ralink (the chipset manufacturer) provides drivers. Solid connection. Supported in Linux. Good reception, even through barriers such as walls and furniture. Getting an average 216Mb/s reported rates in iwconfig.
Cons: Gnome Network Manager doesn't play well with it (might be NM's fault). Not quite yet supported in the Kernel. Had to build the driver. Doesn't like certain USB chipsets.
Other Thoughts: Works well when in Linux when you follow the instructions here: ubunturt2870.pbwiki.com with one slight modification (install wicd to replace NetworkManager as the network management software. Search for it in synaptic package manager). Had "stuttering" during playback in mythtv until I installed wicd. Currently running a mythtv frontend based on a biostar tf7050-m2/amd 4850e in an antec minuet case. The onboard usb chipset doesn't like the WUSB600N, so I'm using a PCI USB card.

Not Win 2K Supported
Pros: Long range, looks like installation is straight forward if compatible with your OS.
Cons: It took me about 9 hours and 5 support calls with Linksys to find out this adapter will not work with Win 2k. According to their web site, it will. Of course each time I told each rep the OS I was using. Web site is terrible (no drivers even available for this product).
Other Thoughts: Linksys support is awful. I wasted an awlful lot of time due to the conflicting answers I've recieved from Linksys. It appears they are clueless about their own products.

7 hours and no joy...
Pros: Nice packaging, strong signal strength
Cons: Installation was easy (about 15 minutes). I immediately was able to connect to three routers (one of them about 1/8 of amile away). But I couldn't connect to the internet on any of them. Opened four chats with tech support without success. Try this, try that, had me uninstall & reinstall, etc. One of the techs acted as though he/she had never seen the user interface before (based on the questions I was asked). Tech support chats kept dropping out - not on my end - meaning I had to open another and start the process all over again.
Other Thoughts: I've built three computers. This is an old one running Win 2k.
I repeatedly asked tech support questions that they repeatedly refused to acknowledge.
I'm just about fed up enough to return it but maybe tomorrow I'll try it again. I really feel like something simple is being missed. Right now just very disappointed with the cluelessness of Linksys tech support.

WUSB600N
Pros: Easy installation on Vista 64 and XP 64 OS. 270 Mbps wireless (line of sight) with my Linksys WRT600N router. Can switch between multiple computers easily unlike a PCI NIC. Great price for a super fast wireless adapter.
Cons: No cons yet.

Does like like Windows 7 until i did the following
Pros: Works good with XP and Vista but when i did a clean install of Windows 7 and used the CD it would not work so i did the following... 1.Used the DriverMax free program with Vista to save the Linksys drivers 2.Then used these drivers with Windows 7 and it worked!!
Cons: Well Windows 7 is beta soooooo it is what it is...

Works without any problems
Pros: Installed the software, it found my network quickly and I haven't had any problems with it even though it's going through a Netgear router. I'm running on Windows XP Pro.
Cons: I sometimes get a "Hub port has had a power surge..." error which freezes my keyboard and mouse since they're both USB devices but that might be my motherboard/OS config.

Works great!!!
Pros: Super easy to install. Downloaded drivers from Linksys, no problems at all. Running fine in mixed mode with Linksys WRT160N and Vista Premium 64 bit.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: I like the cable that let me set the adapter up on a hgher shelf. I get great great reception at the opposite end of the house from my router.

Beware of Power Consumption
Pros: This thing works as advertised with Windows Vista 32 bit and Windows 64 bit systems. I have one running on both and get a stable connection. The only reason I give it four stars is because of the amount of trouble shooting I had to do to get it work on one of my machines. Note the cons and other thoughts.
Cons: Power Consumption can cause what seem like random disconnects.
Other Thoughts: I have one of the adapters running on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine and another on a Windows Vista 64 bit machine. The two machines are nearly identical other than the operating system. The Windows Vista 64 bit machine kept disconnecting every 5 to 30 minutes. I switched the adapters and realized that there was no problem with adapter itself. I called linksys to see if there were any known problems with the 64 bit operating system. Tech support was baffled. I did some more trouble shooting and realized the difference between my two machines. I had more devices that used power from the USB ports on the 64 bit machine. The problem was not with the operating system at all. It was the fact that I was using the USB bus to power the device (as well as other devices). My solution was to get an externally powered USB hub to power the adapter. Now it is stable on the 64 bit machine.

Responce to Shroomius
Pros: It does the job and I have no problem with online gaming wirelessly, i.e. WoW. Average ping time of 1-2ms.
Cons: When running wireless internet connection, a 2-5s lag spike occurred every 60 seconds. Issue was resolved though so it is running perfectly now, Not Linksys fault, see 'Other Thoughts'
Other Thoughts: The lag spikes that Shroomuius refers to is not a fault on Linksys side, its for people running a Vista OS. When running a wireless connection Vista will look to find the best signal for a connection, even if you already have it, which will cause a lag spike of ~2-5s every 60 seconds. This is only a problem for Vista users since in XP you could disable this function, but in Vista (in my understanding) it is tied to you internet connection, so if you disable it then you lose your wireless connection. Some people have found a way around this by using third party programs such as 'Vista Anti-Lag' and 'WLAN Optimizer'. Vista Anti-Lag didn't solve my problem, but WLAN Optimizer did. The last shot you have is to install the XP drivers for the wireless card and then on top of that use Vista Anti-Lag and/or WLAN Optimizer.
If you think this is a lot of work for someone to do just to have a steady gaming connection for Vista, it is. Why this wasn't solved in SP1 I'll never know.

Worthless for Gamers
Pros: Great for casual browsing/internet use which is not dependant on stable connection.
Cons: Lag spike every 30 seconsd that ruins this thing for gaming.
The driver has never been updated and has half-baked to begin with. You have to jump through all kinds of hoops to try to get this thing to not have the lag spike. Linksys tech support said it was not their problem. I got it to work in Windows XP finally, but in Vista 64 bit, it continues to spike up.
Lag spikes, windows never fully recognizing the full connection potential (bad drivers), and unhelpful tech support forces me to be unable to recommend this device.
Other Thoughts: This thing is not ideal for gamers, but I don't know what else you can find out there to replace it. Good luck, hope my experience helped.

Great
Pros: No problems!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: On WinXP I had no problems w/setup. Up and running in no time. Use the cradle and move around for best location and use WPA2 to lock it down and its all good.

Great hardware - software stinks
Pros: The device works great. In the kitchen use to get 29 Mps with the Dell Wireless G card that came with the laptop. Now getting 243-270.
Cons: The software CD stinks just like my old Linksys 54gWRT router software. Could get the driver installed, but never the interface. Ended up using Windows WZC to monitor and control the network settings.
Other Thoughts: The USB stick works for best reception in its upright holder. About like a portable TVs rabbit ears, you have to find the best position, moving it 4 inches to the right on the table made a big difference 163 Mps vs 243-270. Also channel 11 was better than others.

excellent product
Pros: works perfectly under vista64 with my wrt350 router. no connection losses. even wants to connect to all my neighbor's networks! didnt see that with my b adapter. comes with a nice stand.
Cons: seems just as fast as my old b adapter
Other Thoughts: dont be discouraged by my review. this was overkill for me, i just needed a vista64 compatible wireless n device mostly for web browsing and the occasional torrent dl. also, i only get a 30% connection although it says 162mbps (2/5 bars), but i'm on the other side of my house.

Not for Win2000
Pros: Easy set up and works great with XP
Cons: Bought it for a Windows 2000 touchscreen (test equipment). Couldn't get it to work. Though that the problem may be related to propritory software installed. Tried it on two other Windows 2000 PCs with no success.

Great adapter
Pros: This little adapter boosted my single and speed. I am very happy with it and I do appreciate the cabled adapter included with it. I didn't have any problems with the software like some said, but then again I use Windows to manage my wireless networks. I ordered a new Linksys Dual Band, just to make my adapter even more efficient!
Cons: None that I could find. Although when my Acer Aspire One comes in I believe it will stick out quite a bit.
Other Thoughts: If you have the means, BUY ONE! It's more than worth it.

Okay
Pros: It works... much better than other Linksys adapters (Newegg rocks). Linksys told me this is the only 64bit vista compatible device. Hope to check 64bit capability soon.
Cons: The software that comes with it is a definite con. I turned off the Linksys software by right clicking the quick launch and selecting use windows configurator and am getting average 36 more mbps with windows zero configuration utility 104-117mbps (windows) vs 36-76mbps (Linksys)
Other Thoughts: I don't recomend the CD. Download the newest driver from Linksys. After I loaded the CD driver it worked but on reboot it failed. The newest driver bundle comes with a diagnostic tool it loads into the start menu. I ran it and it modified system settings and it works now even with reboots.

No Problems
Pros: It works as advertised. It has a cable to move the adapter to a suitable place.
Cons: It's a little large and a little expensive
Other Thoughts: I haven't tested both wireless bands at the same time. It works 100% when I use one at a time

reliable
Pros: its a linksys!, ive had so much trouble with d-link . i mainly bought this because i thought it would be good for my online fps gaming, and i was right.. i never dropped or even had a lag spike like my old wireless G setup. reliable stuff!
Cons: maybe needs a longer cord? or if it was it would be too messy so i dont think that really counts as a con. so nothing so far..
Other Thoughts: using with a dir-655 d-link extreme N wireless router.(dont buy it, stick to something with linksys.)

Great Little Unit
Pros: 270mbps - 300mbps constantly which is excellent connectivity, easy to use, Comes with a little stand and 6ft usb cord for optimum positioning
Cons: none thus far
Other Thoughts: I have it connected to the WRVS4400N router which seems to be a great combo.

Linksys WUSB600N
Pros: I have Verizon FIOS and had the need to upgrade the wireless in my house. 802.11g wasn't cutting it. Moving video to the machine by my TV was taking too long. I installed the Linksys WUSB600N and I'd never go back! Great little unit.
Cons: A little pricey.
Other Thoughts: My connections worked better after switching the wireless off on Verizon's router. Using WEP and MAC filtering. Connecting with Linksys WUSB600N Network Adapters.

Problems with Vista 64 bit
Pros: Very long pickup range, good speed.
Cons: This does not work with my Vista 64 bit. I have returned it for a new one MULTIPLE times, yet the same problem happens where every 50 seconds on cue it loses connection for about 2-3 seconds, then comes back, to repeat over and over and over. Linksys themselves had no answer to why this is happening.

This is great
Pros: I purchased a Linksys N router as my G died. So then I purchased this network adapter to go along with it. It works great!!! My laptop at the moment is at 270 mbps which is almost 3 x my desktop. I live in a mobile home which makes it a little harder to get reception. The cd is very helpful (surprising for linksys). Just remember that you have to turn off your regular wireless and that you have to put in the MAC address into your router software. Do that and you will be very happy with this adapter. I know I am.
Cons: none

This Puppy Rocks
Pros: Setup is an Airport Extreme also at 5 ghz and they like one another. The Airport is in my living room hooked to the cable modem, then out to an Xbox 360, and onward to a 50 inch HDTV. The Linksys is two rooms away at PC running XP-32sp3 media center with Xbox as an extender. With both at 5ghz,I've had no drops in 3 weeks and stream HD vid and audio in either direction with no loss. USB600N has never connected slower than 270, and 300 is quite common. Actual throughput speeds are only slightly slower, generally around 250.
Cons: The Linksys software could be improved to show more connection info, a few of the advanced configuration options are never explained very well in documentation or on linksys website. A few are not mentioned in either place. Those with little experience shold probably mess with these settings as little as possible or they may have a long frustrating day.
Other Thoughts: I'm very impressed with this little dual band USB adapter, and was thrilled to see dual band anything drop well below $100 bucks. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for new simultaneous dual band routers and adapters to get better and cheaper so I can make use older 2.3 N equipment lying around, run that in wide band as well, a quick one time thrill of bringing down every wireless network on the block! though my neighbor who owns Mr. Barksalot might find his down a bit more often.. :)

Great Works on 64 Bit OS
Pros: Its a great product found out from Linksys today that the WUSB600N is perfectly supported by Windows Vista 64 bit Only not Windows XP 64 bit. Which is fine if you like me going upgrade my pc to Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. So this will work fine Thats a promise.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Wish the owner network was a Wireless N but its not.

Get Closer to Router
Pros: Great Speed, Wireless and its USB with Dual Band.
Cons: 1st one purchased was intermittant and would drop connection after 1 to 3 hours. Returned to B.B. store for exchange. Low Signal Strength ... so get close with No Solid Walls between Remote PC and Main PC to your Wireless Network Modem/Router. You may have to play with Security- WPA settings to match up connection.
Other Thoughts: Might work best with Linksys Router that has same Wireless-N capability. I have a Westell unit which possibly does not output a strong enough signal for the Linksys WUSB600N. I buy another if price was $30 less and needed it.

Great for Vista x64
Pros: I bought this specifically for Vista x64. Works great and Vista installs the driver right off the CD. Probably took me 2 minutes to hook everything up and connect to my network.
Cons: If you are running 32 bit versions of Vista or XP then the Linksys WUSB300N and WUSB54G will perform just as well, maybe better, but they don't have 64 bit drivers and Linksys apparently has no plans to release any for those models.
Other Thoughts: If you need wireless with a 64 bit driver, get this.

Terrible
Pros: Got this one to replace the silver wirless G adapter of the same model, looks cooler and matches my stuff better but that's about the only thing good about it.
Cons: The signal strength was exactly the same as the wireless G model so if you are going to buy this type of adapter i would go with the cheaper G one unless your router is N, but even so i wouldn't buy this one i would get the WUSB300N, much stronger signal and is build with good design. I got it for about 10 bux less also which was a great plus. These thumb drive adapters drop the signal frequently and my first on died less than a month after i got it so i bought this one hoping for a stronger signal and no drops, i was very disappointed, same signal strengh and dual band which i dont use anyway so i bought the WUSB300N and am very pleased with it.
Other Thoughts: Overall if i were to buy another adapter i would go with the WUSB54G adapter, those seem to be the best in picking up signal and holding it. Solid structure also, they work better detached from the pc. The WUSB300N works as i need it to but the thumb drive type don't seem to work as well on an extension cable as the WUSB54G ones do so i have it plugged in with the short cord it provides not the long one.

overrated
Pros: Linksys tech support is quite helpful
Cons: Didn't live up the high ratings I've seen. Bottom line: It didn't boost the signal enough to count

No, no, no, nope, definitely not.
Pros: Easy to set up.
Cons: Not sensitive enough. In side-by-side tests, the Belkin Wireless N adapter and the Linksys Wireless G PC-card adapter in my laptop both had 3 bars to this adaptor's 1 bar. I was very disappointed, and I expected better from Linksys.
Other Thoughts: In wireless networks where the client is far away from the access point, where signal sensitivity is extremely important, this is NOT the adapter you want. Go with Belken or Netgear when you're on the edge and it has to work.

64 bit Ready!!
Pros: The WUSB600N is Vista 64 bit ready, straight out of the box! I am a college student and I live .25 miles from my college. I still get a signal and have access to the net. Its a tiny signal at this distance, but I'm friggin impressed. My signal strength is Zero bars, and its roughly the same speed as a 14 K modem.
Cons: The only problem I have, is that I don't get a stronger signal at .25 miles from my college. But how can I complain, since I'm getting free internet. I may have to buy an amplifier or internet service. I do see many secured links around where I live, but as mentioned... they are secured leaving me just my college net.
Other Thoughts: I am way impressed with this product. IT IS VISTA 64 BIT READY!!!! I noticed someone else claimed it was not, and all I can say is that they are DEAD wrong or they have something against Linksys. I mentioned above that mine worked with Vista 64 straight out of the box with the disk that came with the product.

It Does Support Vista X64
Pros: It Runs just perfect in Vista X64 and 32 bit as well as XP. Easy to Setup.
Cons: signal strength not as high as i was hoping but still connects at 270 Mbps from 50 feet away from my linksys wrt150n router
Other Thoughts: to the N/A guy who said that it does not support Vista X64 you are not doing something right. After i installed the driver my wireless network popped right up. I am using Vista X64 Ultimate.

Good signal
Pros: Adapter picks up signal and holds it. plugs right into a USB port.
Cons: USB extension cord stopped working after two days. Not worth the hassle of a return RMA so I will buy a cheap replacement USB extension cord
Other Thoughts: I purchased a Linksys Wrt54GL to set up a wireless connection. Since I would be only using web based applications the 54 Mbps speed is more than enough and much cheaper than a N router. However since I wanted the WPA2 security level I bought the WUSB600N adapter, which also gave me the flexibility to upgrade to a N router sometime in the future. The adapter worked fine however the 6' USB extension cord and base stopped working after two days. At first I thought it was the adapter but testing quickly revealed that the adapter worked fine plugged directly into the computer USB port while the extension cord would not work with the adapter nor with any other USB device like a flash drive. I wanted to return the extension cord for a swap but both Newegg and Linksys required that I return both the extension cord and the adapter. This seemed silly for a defective cord and would have kept me offline for 2 weeks during the swap. So I will buy a cheap replacement cord.

Doesn't support Vista x64
Pros: None, compared to Dlink
Cons: Doesn't run Vista x64
Other Thoughts: The whole point of USB devices is that they usually can be counted upon to work regardless of slight OS variations on your machine. Not LinkSys! These guys advertise "Vista" compatibility but don't tell you they don't support Vista x64. I guess they haven't seen those Cisco TV commercials about the future and Cisco's role in that... oh well, back to Dlink, which works like a charm.

First Impression
Pros: I bought this adapter and the matching WRT600N router at the same time. Speed and connectivity (versus my old Netgear Super G) 1 Mps & virtually no connectivity to 270Mps and 93% signal strength. Maybe this will help keep my media center from stuttering. I liked the USB cable/stand. My media center PC is buried in a custom cabinet and I need to remote the antenna.
Cons: During setup the software searched for networks but nothing displayed. I slid the mouse over and clicked in the area they were supposed to be listed and then they displayed. I had some bad thoughts there for a moment. -1 star.
Other Thoughts: I connected to the 5 Ghz radio and put in the WEP 128 key for the 2.4 Ghz radio. My bad but it took it. So much for 2 distinct networks.
