Worked on Win7
Pros: My Asus PQ5-Pro's built in LAN card didn't work properly in Win7. I was in Wally World and picked this thing up and it worked like a charm. Never lost a connection yet and as fast as I can expect for a G card.
Cons: n/a

Works...and doesn't
Pros: When the device works, it provides good throughput and is is quite fast. Works with Windows Vista and 7 RTM with drivers from Windows Update.
Cons: Has a tendancy to drop connection. The light becomes solid and no traffic is passed. To fix it, I have to unplug the adapter wait a moment and plug it in again.
Other Thoughts: All my issues were with Vista and 7 beta. I havent tested it on 7RTM past initial installation due to the previously mentioned instability.

Won't work on XP SP3
Pros: Not many. I've been a linksys fan for quite awhile and this adaptor did work great for about five months.
Cons: The box and description says it works with XP with all the updates, however, it WILL NOT WORK WITH SP3! When I finally contacted Linksys tech support after exhausting all my ideas, they informed me their software/hardware "sometimes" works with SP3, even though it "disn't compatible" and I should "downgrade to SP2."

Garbage
Pros: Comes with software that manages the adapter and your connections by disabling Windows Wireless services and overriding them. Easy to run through wizard.
Cons: Software is junky, manually installing the driver without the software doesn't make much difference, and overall the hardware constantly disconnects. Impossible to modify the first connection you create, so don't screw up.
Other Thoughts: You wouldn't think it, but I've been a LinkSys fan for years. This frustrates me because it's yet another piece of hardware with absolute garbage software and drivers propping it up. I never got anywhere near the promised speeds and it still won't stop randomly disconnecting no matter how I install it

tough little thing
Pros: it does what it is made to do and it is tough; i've managed to drop my laptop straight on the side that it was plugged into and after completly cracking the shell, and bending and warping, it still manages to work after my clumsyness
Cons: it's ugly as hell and i have issues of disconnecting now and then

Surprised
Pros: Very Fast ,as in WOW fast / 133mbps in the same room as router , using Windows 7. I like the extender cable and dock which lets you get it up higher for improved reception
Cons: Software does not work with Windows 7, but you can still get it to work with an generic wireless b/g/n/ driver in Windows, not really much of a con as Windows 7 a beta
Other Thoughts: I have an Linksys wireless N router , and they hook up very well. Did I mention fast ? Runs my HTPC and works well.Have not checked connection speed in this room, but it works fine. Netflix and others all download at highest quality.Only thing is the usb has to be plugged into the same port it was installed in or it won't work. This may have something to do with the way it was installed in Win 7 beta with generic driver.

Works Great
Pros: Great adapter, gets very close if not the same speed as my wired connection does. Works much better than I expected for online gaming, the ping in Halo CE is the same as it was with a wired connection and there were no spikes of lag or anything like that. It has pretty good range for its size, but it works best being in the same room or a room close to the router. I have however managed to get signal through the concrete walls of the basement up in the office on the second floor on the other side of the house from the router. It was only 1 bar of signal, but I was surprised it even worked.
Cons: For some reason it doesn't want to stay connected at 54Mbps. Usually, even when its in the same room as the router, it starts out at 54Mbps, but then goes down to 48Mbps and it stays connected at that , but this doesn't seem to affect the connection speed at all except when transferring files between computers on the home network. Also, depending on your computer, it might take up more than 1 USB port if you don't use the USB extension cable.
Other Thoughts: I've used this adapter mostly with a Linksys WRT110 wireless router, but I've also occasionally used it with a WRT54GS and it works fine with both.

quirky
Pros: Works some of the time.
Cons: Disconnects about once an hour. The program it comes with to manage your connection is far worse than just using windows.
Other Thoughts: I've had this adapter for about 8 months and it's never worked well. I paired it with a Linksys router. My laptop never disconnects from the router, but this adapter disconnects constantly. No newer drivers are available than what I've installed. I don't recommend it.

Avoid WUSB100
Pros: It worked... briefly.
Cons: It disconnects from the network after a period of inactivity; won't reconnect w/o restarting computer. Drivers also cause Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) in Vista. Tried newest driver (only one), tried changing every setting recommended online (power settings, adapter settings), but to no avail. I bought two of these pieces of junk and they both do the same thing. I also had rebuilt the computer (after crash) and it changed nothing.
Other Thoughts: I am very experienced w/ installing devices, and this is certainly a driver issue on Vista. All other adapters work just fine, only these fail to maintain connection during long (> 1 hr) periods of inactivity. I have a LinkSys WRT300N router, btw, so it is even the same brand. I also experienced this problem with all types of WPA encryption (did not try WEP or none). Again, avoid!

Not a rock solid peformer
Pros: It works...I now get a G connection with an old IBM laptop that only had a B radio
Cons: The windows wireless networking setting works OK but the wireless monitor that came with it does not do a good job. After my laptop was put into standby and woken up, the software has forgotten the password settings, and won't connect. Strange..the software says its trying to connect to the router, whereas I'm already connected! Maybe my laptop is kind of old, an IBM T30. One other upsetting thing: its only if I broadcast my SSID, that this USB device will connect. That lowers the security level. But I'll admit, many wireless adapters have this problem. I recently bought a DLink, and it did not have the problem.

it works
Pros: works for what i needed
Cons: price, speed is not truely 54mb, more like 48 when i'm connected to my 54mb router
Other Thoughts: it worked once i got the end cap off; really on tight, not sure why..took a knife to get it off, otherwise works fine if you dont mind that you don't get the full wireless rated speed, (see cons)

Good while it lasted
Pros: Good reception, easy to set up. Got it for my wife, who has next to no computer knowledge, and she set it up herself. I've always had good experiences with Linksys up until now.
Cons: Straight died after 2 months of use. No dropping, no unusual abuse. Became intermittent at 7 weeks, and one week later, it just stopped working. No warranty, past the 30 days that Newegg is kind enough to give. What is a guy to do?
Other Thoughts: The Wife is at Best Buy, getting a new one. I think their warranty program is better, and the price is actually 10 bucks cheaper (it's on sale!). I will post feedback here again after a few months, and let everyone know how it turns out.

Very good piece of hardware.
Pros: Very nice adapter. I had it plugged in and on my WPA secured network in less than a minute, using the Window's wireless instead of Linksys. I've had it for a year, and so far no problems; I'm about 20 ft away and get full signal strength all the time (on my PC)
Cons: Not many, it does stick out a bit, so your PC can't be flush against the wall.
