mediocre performance
Pros: looks great and installed easily.
Cons: I couldn't get it to run faster than 130 mbps. I have 4 computers in the house...2 laptops and 2 desktops. One laptop connected easily, one with a lot of trouble and I gave up on the desktops and hardwired them. I tried numerous N adaptors with little affect. My old netgear super G router runs circles around this one.

BEST OF THIS PRICE RANGE
Pros: COMPACT, EASY SETUP, STRONG WIFI SIGNAL, MIXES 100 & 1000 MBIT WITHOUT HASSLE
Cons: NONE, ......HOPE IT LASTS AS GOOD AS THE OLD WRT54G :D MAN, ITS COLD HERE TODAY!!!
Other Thoughts: AS OPPOSED TO THE B*LK*N N+ BEFORE THIS, IT IS JUST A TREAT....I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH LINKSYS THE WAY THROUGH!

Pros: Decent price. Easy to setup. Same interface since forever. Typical linksys compact design. Different colors LEDs for ethernet/wireless. High speeds*
Cons: *Not simultaneuous dual-band. Typical Linksys router connection drops.

Disappointed
Pros: Set Up Easily. Worked okay, but see below.
Cons: Wireless data transfer speed and range were only slightly better than my seven year old Netgear economy router. I was looking for more of an improvement. I've returned the unit and will do some more research before I buy another.
Other Thoughts: When transferring a folder of assorted files, it would consistently take a couple minutes to send the first small file (like one meg), then go much faster. I searched their on-line help, but found no reference to the problem.

good wireless performance
Pros: I get 80Mb/s downlink and over 100Mb/s uplink over 5GHz. Near 800Mbps over eithernet.
Cons: The stock firmware can't handle over 1000 simultaneous lan to wan connections. However DD-Wrt is very stable on this router.

DD-WRT is great on this router!
Pros: DD-wrt has a firmware for it. good throughput. i get much better speeds then my previous router for both within network and to the internet. Gigabit ethernet Wireless-N plus backwards compatability.
Cons: included software. issues with legacy devices connecting. initial setup needed windows for me, i attempted to use the web-interface at first but was unable to get my laptop to connect. used the cd instead and had no issues at all. i noticed that in N-mode i had no issues connecting my laptop even without using the CD. -after installing DD-wrt firmware none of this was a problem.
Other Thoughts: i used the original firmware for a long time and always had trouble with the Mixed wireless mode. after changing to a DD-WRT firmware all my issues have disapeared. people complain about the router overheating and having issues with older devices connecting. DD-WRT gives you the option to underclock/overclock the processor and underpower or overpower the wireless. this gives you the ability to turn down either of these if you have trouble with heat. or turn them up if you have trouble with speed/connectivity.

Great router
Pros: No drops since installation. Much better wireless transfer speeds that old piece of cr!p d-link 655.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: If you're sick and tired of resetting your d-link every other day, bite the bullet and buy this linksys. Rock solid so far.

Good Router
Pros: Easy setup using either the provided program or your past experience dealing with linksys IP setup.
Cons: If you have a must use 2.4 client, iPhone, older laptops, you can only use the 2.4 which seems to limit n hookup to 72.
Other Thoughts: Does not run hot as long as you leave room for cooling.

Good product, but never again Linksys...
Pros: -Gigabit -Dual Band -Good QoS setup -Web Interface Reboot (D-Link has had this forever..) -Good Range/Signal
Cons: -Linksys -Not Simultaneous Dual Band
Other Thoughts: Bought a WRT310N originally when I got wireless N on my laptop. Set it up all fine and all seemed to work ok for the mean time. 2 months later it starts dropping connections and not allowing to reconnect without unplugging it to reboot (which when it's in a closet tucked away is no fun!). Called to Linksys support, which is possibly the worst techincal support ever, finally after running through the loops with the guy he sents me an RMA for a new one, so good. The new one came DOA... I was not happy. Back on the phones for a couple hours and after being told countless times that I can't swap for a different router they "put in a request to the supervisor" for a model exchange, a couple days later (and 2 more hours on the phone) they sent me the WRT320N and it is great. Never has downtime :)

great router with reliability
Pros: RELIABILITY and PERFORMANCE. I get consistent gigabit WAN performance. Wireless N is much more reliable than Dlink routers. I am able to run mixed wireless G/N mode on all my devices - samsung LED TV, PCs, laptops, media Players, game consoles.
Easy to set up. Quick installation and software is very simple to use.
Cons: The advanced settings need to be more robust like Dlink routers have. The Easylink Advisor software is good for novices but not good for technically savvy people.
Other Thoughts: I had a Dlink Wireless N router and was not reliable-dropped signal constantly which required reboot. This Linksys router is good on performance and reliability but wish it had the more robust advanced settings that Dlink routers have.

Failed eventually, like any cisco/linksys
Pros: Excellent performance and configureability when functional
Cons: Little or no technical support offered, problematic firmware updates (often brick router), refuse to honor warranty. Technical support hold times exceed 2 hours, and abandon calls if holding until end of business hours, even if on-call at the time!
Product failed after 7 months
Other Thoughts: This is the FOURTH Linksys/cisco product I have sold in the past 1 1/2 years which has failed prematurely, and the FOURTH time they have refused to honor the warranty. I will be officially boycotting their products and sending a newsletter to my customers explaining why they should, too.

Great Router so far...
Pros: Smaller than I thought. Runs only a fuzz hotter than my WRT54G, which I kept and cascaded off of this one for 2 protected networks. 74mbps on 2.4Ghz, 150mbps on 5Ghz. (Was getting 54mbps on the WRT54G). And that's 30ft. through 2 walls. Internet loads 2x-3x faster. Setup was a breeze. Zero hic-ups. 1000mbps wired. Both routers up & running dual networks & playing nicely with each other, so now I dedicated the 320N to 5GHz & the N-only option, while the 54G is running 2.4GHz on G-only. Perfect. Exactly what I wanted. Backup wireless network a definite plus. Range is good. DD-WRT is awsome, but unnecessary for me, so I flashed the 320N back to latest Firmware from Cisco....call me crazy.
I was a little hesitant to buy this router at first with all the mixed reviews, but I'm glad I did. I'm thinking the people who got duds were just that...non-updated "oopsies" from the factory.
Cons: None from me....as long as it holds up this performance. If something goes amuck, I will repost with an update.
Other Thoughts: I have a 90ft. long ranch house in a country setting w/no signal problems, for whatever that's worth.

Finally One that Works!
Pros: Dual band the included software is awesome for monitoring your network. It is also makes setup a breeze. It stays connected. Gigabit ethernet ports. No conflicts with ports on any applications or games I use or with Norton Internet Security 2009.
Cons: Not simultaneous dual band like the model above it. Quite a bit slower than being plugged directly into my T1 port, but that was expected.
Other Thoughts: It works on a network running Cisco Clean Access right out of the box. That alone makes it worth the purchase to me. A bit pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. I bought a cheap draft N Linksys that was awful that I returned after 2 days.

Pros: Nice look and easy set-up. Replaced my 'old' Linksys Wireless G router. Set-up DVD worked well and I had no problems getting this one hooked up.
Cons: Range is not good. This was to replace my old Linksys G router that had been installed for 5 years w/out a hick-up. This router gives me the same or a weaker signal than the old router I had.
Other Thoughts: I had wanted to Dual-Band Router to work w/the 2 laptops and also my new Desk-top. I wanted to get a better signal then my previously outdated Router gave. This one doesn't seem any better than what I had. Could be I need to tinker w/the settings and drivers that came w/the Install DVD to get the better signal and take advantage of this new Router.

Don't expect any new features
Pros: OK - its a router, it works. Easy to set up.
Cons: I bought this router as Linksys was touting the new home network defender as a way to "control your network." There are really no new access restriction features you didnt have in much older models. Still can't effectively block p2p...... spent 2 hours on live tech support before they woudl admit all this.
Other Thoughts: If you need a new router, fine but dont waste your money upgrading.

Crashes too often
Pros: Easy to configure.
Cons: Crashes all the time now. The connection goes down and the router becomes inaccessible. Only option is to reboot. I keep it in a well ventilated area. It crashes randomly whether there is a lot of traffic or no traffic. It did this a few times when I first bought it but then it went away for a while so I stayed with it. Now it's been doing it again.
Other Thoughts: Garbage.

Works great
Pros: Gigabit makes transferring to my WHS much faster. Although I have no N equipment my G laptops seem to establish a connection and have faster transfer speeds than on my old WRT54GS, maybe probs with old radio? Can't wait for new laptop with wireless n card, and wish Sony would make an adapter for ps3.
Cons: No DD-WRT... yet. Linksys firmware is functional, but not many features.
Other Thoughts: Took me a while to decide on what new router/AP to get. Got this because of good price (under $100), gigabit wired, and because of the great experience I had on my older Linksys products.

Awesome speed
Pros: Setup fairly straightforward - software based rather than the usual internet explorer type. Blistering speeds; getting 17Mb download on wireless n notebooks, slightly faster than 16Mb from a wired pc. Been using for over a month and not a single problem compared with my older Linksys that had to be rebooted every week or so.
Cons: Only irritant was the router didnt want to configure correctly with my voip box, but got there eventually! More of a problem with the voip box i think.

This is it!
Pros: Finally found the model that really works. This is truely N and can switch frequencies if needed. Never loses contact, does not get hot, recognizes computers immediately, very very fast.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Owner should have newer computers to realize the true speed and potential of this router. Really brings out the speed and flash of Windows 7.

Rock solid with DD-WRT
Pros: Gigabit, dual band (not simultaneous), after some careful reading in some forums DD-WRT flashed on this router without a hitch. Saw some reviews of this model saying 5 ghz N range is better on this router than the 610N, that is definitely the case.
Cons: Somewhat pricy, no official DD-WRT support yet, no USB ports like the 610N.
Other Thoughts: 22 days of uptime with 3 gigabit ethernet connections, 2 wireless N connections, and some G devices here and there. Not a single hiccup, and not too toasty either. Keep in mind this is with a lot of video streaming, network backup, and running a Jinzora streaming music server in my basement.

Putting the lie to increased N range
Pros: It's N. It doesn't overheat and shutdown every few hours like most of the other 802.11n routers I've installed (including competitors and earlier linksys N's)
Cons: This is a con of N units BY ALL MANUFACTURERS, and I've tried them all. I have yet to find an 802.11n router with the same range as the two 802.11g linksys routers I got 3 or 4 years ago. I can get promised N-speed with the unit 1-10 feet away, then speed begins to roll off. Even with linksys n client cards I can't pull more than G-speeds through about 15 feet of *air*, and this is typicall of ALL the n-routers I've tried. typically, through the floor + 50 feet, I can get 4 bars on the G-routers, and usually have 3 (occasionally 2!) bars on the N.

Does what its suppose to
Pros: I have had this thing running for a week. No issues with it at all. I did not use the included software when setting up this router. I currently have it running at 5 ghz, and have had no lags, disconnects or issues at all. It actually sped up my internet as well. Does not run any hotter than my other wireless rounter did even when under a heavy load.
Cons: Won't cook me breakfast. Price.
Other Thoughts: I read a lot of reviews before buying this router. Sometimes it is required to differentiate between those writing reviews because they don't like the linksys company, and those that are actually disgruntled with their product. I found more comments tailored to the dislike of the company than this product. As I have stated above, I read through the various problems with the included software on the linksys forums. Some of the IT guys from linksys are even telling customers to uninstall the software and set up their products manualy.

Poor Linksys
Pros: Sleek design if not rack-mounting
Cons: Suffers from same issues for Linksys is becoming famous
Web interface stops responding after a while, even thought NAT and routing still fouction and the device responds to ICMP. The last Linksys I owned (different model) exhibited this behavior about 1 month before giving up the ghost.
Dropped VOIP calls. Does not happen with any of my other routers made by different vendors, regardless of the age or model.
QOS feature is a joke, although this is to be expected with a consumer device.
Deja-vu: Here we go again with another failed Linksys product.
Other Thoughts: Why do people continue to buy Linksys garbage? I have had more issues with their products than from any other networking company.
I cannot speak to the wireless performance, as I am only using this for wired NAT. My home is GigE wired with an external access point for guests and only uses the Linksys to connect a GigE switch to the outside world.
From now on I will do what I should have been doing already, viz. spend the extra money on something better like Juniper. I have a friend who installs high-end media networks for affluent customers who abandoned Linksys some time ago in favor of Draytech. Maybe this is an option, as well.

Defective out of the box
Pros: None.
Cons: The router would not accept any settings, such as MAC address filtering, after the initial setup. After three contacts with Linksys technical support on their live chat system, the situation only became worse, because then the wireless was totally unsecured. After spending over three hours of my own time on the resolving the problems, I gave up. Newegg cheerfully authorized a return for a for full refund, and paid the shipping, too. The Linksys support agents seemed to be pleasant, attentive, and helpful. However, the support was ultimately ineffective. It did not help that two of the chat sessions terminated unexpectedly. Overall, I do not understand my treatment by Linksys. From my perspective as a customer, I received a new product that did not function, but it was my problem to fix, not Linksys. I do not understand why Linksys would not have immediately provided me with an exchange for a new, functioning product, and then resolved the issues with the original item on its o
Other Thoughts: I will be looking for a router from another manufacturer.

Awesome Router
Pros: This router is awesome. It has all kind of features ACLs to restrict certain ports or websites, VPN, UPnP support, QoS, Allow connection only during certain parts of the day. The LELA software works, and is easy to install. You can even set up WEP/WPA/WPA2 from the CD and configure your SSID and private key.
Cons: A little more expensive then the competitor N+ Router but I wouldn't change it since it fixed all my issues.
Other Thoughts: I was about a week from ordering stuff to hard-wire a 3,000 square feet town home, I went and took back a previous router, which was junk, it wouldn't even connect sitting next to it. Different brand though, won't mention the name here. I bought this router, paid the extra $40, in addition to my exchange, came home set this router up, and within seconds, BAM my laptop could finally connect wireless again. My desktop is in my finished basement, which is probably about 100-200 feet from my router, my previous router would not connect. Within seconds my desktop connected. This router is the best out there that I have had so far, I tried around 6 different routers, and this is the only one that has worked. If you have issues update the firmware it comes with 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.3 is available on linksys website.

Awesome...when it works...
Pros: - Gigabit networking - Full Wireless N support
Cons: - severe lack of tech support - seems to disconnect randomly - expensive - no gateway support
Other Thoughts: Tech support tried to tell me that my motherboard doesn't support 1GB networking, when in the TITLE (which I bought on newegg) it says it does, and I had it connected to my friend's GB network. Sent it back & they agreed that something was wrong with it. Took 2 weeks to get that far.

Easy setup and install
Pros: It is a Linksys, setup and install were extremely easy. The range is better than my old Linksys 54g and the gigabit interface improved response on my desktop.
Cons: I am fairly technical but when I used my old WEP encryption ( meaning not WPA ) none of my Vista laptops would work; you get a domain message. Found solution on WEB; change to WPA then all way well except iPhone no longer worked; cannot join. Go to OTher network and define WPA and iPhone is up and running.
Other Thoughts: It was somewhat of an education but I knew going to new technology was going to stretch me a little more.

Pros: Easy set-up and connection to all my devices including to wireless adapter on DVR. Stable.
Cons: Lights on top light up wall and ceiling in dark room at night. Haven't really noticed a speed difference between G and N. But I'm sure it probably helps when the DVR is downloading shows.
Other Thoughts: Mine doesn't seem nearly as hot as others make it seem and it's sitting on top of my DSL modem, nothing else around them. Mines warm, but not hot at all. Range good for my needs in and outside my home for me to maintain a good connection.

Very compatible not the best range
Pros: Compatible with skype phones which can be fussy. Good gigabyte ports
Cons: Not so hot range with internal antennas
Other Thoughts: Put some real antennas and you'd have a real winner

Pros: Good signal, further then my parents D-Link, but not as far as I would have liked
Cons: None that i can think of, but I wish it reached further. I had a lot of trouble getting my Wii to link wirelessly to the router, but I finally got them to see eachother. No USB port for attached storage, but I knew that going into it (the WRT610 has it, but I chose not to go with that unit due to price)
Other Thoughts: Wish it had USB, but I can live without it

Decent router
Pros: It's a decent router that'll get the job done. The range is quite good being able to go through several walls and still have a good enough signal to surf
Cons: I think it's been mentioned that it doesn't do both 2.4 and 5 ghz so don't buy it expecting that.
Other Thoughts: Nothing spectacular. I need to get cat 6 cable to test out the gigabit lan capablility...

Pros: The 1gb network connection is great. Aesthetics of the component are beyond compare.
Cons: The first one I received was DOA. As soon as I plugged it in, the router got real hot, smelled funny and didn't even work. After a somewhat lengthy RMA process I received my replacement. Also was not happy about paying shipping to return the defective item...the nerve!

Solid Router
Pros: Solid, solid router. Setup was a flash. plugged it in and everything worked as expected. Config was blindly easy. Advanced config was a breeze and it even provided me a lis of common ports to forward. Day two I hosted a 5 person skype meeting simultaneously with 4 VPN connections and it never blinked. Solid, solid routing.
Cons: I don't like the look. I preferred the "Johnny Number Five" look of the old routers. Call me old fashioned.
Other Thoughts: If you want a fast router that's going to sit there, handle data, and never give any problems, this one's a champ.

1st Linksys WRT320N- wireless dud
Pros: Very fast wired network. Very easy setup
Cons: Wireless connections slow and weak range
Other Thoughts: This unit I received and sent back for another, must have been a dud, because even about 5 feet away from the router, my Dell notebook with wireless N was only able to get maybe tops, a 12 Mb speed. At 10 feet away, the signal strength would drop to "good", and at 30 feet, fair with a 3.5 Mb speed. I tried my Dell notebook connected to a WRT54G ( I forget actual model number), and it got very good signal strength at 50 feet and got a 72 Mb speed, (faster than G spec). I hope the 2nd unit Newegg sends me works well so I can keep it. If it is also no good, then I will find out how good Neweggs return policy is for refunds, and I hope I can do that before the 30 days to do this in expires. I had to send the first unit back to newegg in California from NY.

Very nice
Pros: It does everything. EVERYTHING! WPA2 for wireless, gigabit ethernet for wired, no antenna, good lookin'. Would recommend to others. In fact, I *am* recommending it to others.
Cons: None.

Works, but gets very hot!
Pros: Inexpensive (got it on sale and used a coupon code), small - doesn't take up a lot of room, funky styling, 4-gigabit ports, can disable web utility access via wireless (some routers you can't disable this), web utility access via https (some routers only http). Wireless "G" range is very good in my 3 story house - can't comment on wireless "N" since I don't have any of those devices.
Cons: Gets very hot! I have it raised a couple of inches to allow airflow underneath but it's still hot. The following are cons to me because other routers I've used don't have these quirks - Can't change the User name field to log into the router - it's always blank! In the router's web utility it does not display the total router up time. Security mode is either WPA OR WPA2 - other routers I've owned had the ability to select WPA AND WPA2 at the same time so I could have my laptop set at WPA2-AES for maximum security and still allow my old legacy Zune that only supports WPA-TKIP to use the wireless at the same time. With this router I have to leave it set at WPA for the Zune to sync via wireless.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a refurb Netgear WNR3500 that died after 4 months (no more refurbs for me)! I personally prefer the Netgear's config utility and DD-WRT that was running on my old Linksys WRT54G v8 (doesn't have gigabit ports - hence my reason for buying the WRT320N). DD-WRT is a 'Work In Progress' for this router. Hopefully it will be available soon and fix some of my cons for this router. As others have mentioned with this being a dual-band router (NOT simultaneous) if you want 5 Ghz only "N" and "A"can be used. If you have "G" devices you'll HAVE to set it at 2.4 GHz for those to work. Since I only have wireless "G" devices this is a non-issue. If you have mixed "N" AND "G" I'd fork over the extra money for a simultaneous dual-band router. I'd honestly return this router if it wasn't for the 15% restocking fee that I'd be hit with. Oh yeah, make sure you flash the firmware with the latest release - currently v1.0.03.

Taco Bell
Pros: Easy Setup at 192.168.1.1.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Using the LINKSYS WMP600N card on my desktop, I get 270 Mbps through 2 walls, a desk, a monitor at a distance 12 feet. Works perfect. For kicks I made the router wireless N only and plugged in my older wireless G to an open port, gave it a new IP and it works on the network without a hitch.

Buy something else!
Pros: Very easy to install - nice box and layout. Web interface works well.
Cons: Does not live up to it's claim of greater range than the "G" model. Customer support was very disappointing and almost non-existent - seemed to not care even though I had been a customer for 10 + years!
Other Thoughts: I would buy something other than a Linksys in the future.

Fire starter
Pros: Easy setup. Setup using Ubuntu 9.10 was easy enough. The included CD is not needed, if you connect directly to the routers IP address.
Cons: Um, it runs hot very hot. I ran the router connected to 3 computers using Linksys/Cisco N+ USB adapters. Ran fine for 4 hours then all network activity stopped. Checked on the router every light was blinking on and off. Picked up the router and burnt my finger. Unplugged it and could not get it to power back on, and had a nice smell of melted plastic.
Other Thoughts: Cisco dump the silly UFO looking case and get some airflow in your routers if they run that hot.

Great Router
Pros: 1GB switch. Fast new CPU from BroadCOM. DD-WRT will soon have support for this router but the latest Linksys Firmware works great, seems all issues have been resolved now.
Router was easy to configure, I don't know what some of the other comments saying it was hard was about. The router use the standard Linksys web UI.
Router has been running 2 weeks without a reboot or slowdown now.
Cons: The wireless signal strength is not the best.
Other Thoughts: Some D-Links have better throughput, but they can't run DD-WRT. This router can saturate a 100MBit WAN link so don't see the aditional throughput as much of an advantage.

Very Disappointed
Pros: None
Cons: I updated the firmware, tried numerous configurations and it still had a very poor signal. I went back to my old g router and RMA'd the Linksys back to Newegg
Other Thoughts: Excellent customer support from Newegg!

Great router
Pros: Decent price for router with it's capabilities. Great range. I'm serving interwebs to my bro's apt across a courtyard through tress and exterior/interior walls and still getting great speeds and signal strength. Great variety of options in menus per the usual with linksys products. Nice design, looks perty. Gigabit LAN is nice.
Cons: Gets a lil warm but hasn't seemed to be an issue so far
Other Thoughts: Obviously if you know what you are doing forget the software

Great for Gaming
Pros: I bought this router to replace my old WRT54G, I was ready to dip my toes into the "N" pool. This router broadcasts a clear and powerful signal through 2 walls with a ton of junk in between and It keeps a solid connection.
Its small, very compact and sleek. Looks much nicer than the VCR sized router that was my old WRT54G.
Overall I get great speed and a great signal. I live in a large apartment complex so fighting at the 2.4ghz freq. was causing lots of issues. This router broadcasts at 5ghz which makes life easy.
Cons: I don't know if you can call this a true "con" but I would have liked to see an option to add my own external antennas.
Other Thoughts: I had to RMA this router once to newegg, the first one would not hold a connection at all for some reason. After a painful process with Linksys I was lead to beleive i got a bad egg. Hence the 4 egg review.
Newegg RMA'd it and it was very easy and painless and I haven't had a single issue with the new router. It works just perfectly.

No problems
Pros: So far no problems with this router
Cons: If you put this on a complex network like mine (most home use WON'T have this problem) the software will not correctly identify your network components. No hardware problems though.
Other Thoughts: Good wireless N router though I have had problems with another Linksys product this one has worked well.
Also, keep in mind the 1 Gigabit speed is for the wired connections only, not the wireless! A 72 Mbps speed using wireless N is normal from what I have read and experianced first hand.

Eggcellant Router
Pros: This is a really good router, wireless, dual band, easy to install and use. I just FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS and I was online. I have 3 PC's hooked up for wifi and 1 thru an ethernet cable. Everything was a breeze. Some have complained about it not being easy to set up, but I had no problems at all.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Would recomend this to everyone.

So Far So Good
Pros: - Fast Gigabit network and wireless G/N network - Works well with my Linkstation Mini and PS3 and MacBook Pro - 95% reliable only requiring two resets since I started using it 2 months ago - Security is up to par with other similar routers - Web-based menus and configuration are complete and well laid out.
Cons: - 5% unreliable as it required 2 resets at various times - Occasionally drops the connection between my NAS and my PS3
Other Thoughts: Overall a great (though expensive) Wireless - N router that has worked well with my networked devices.

Pros: - N-draft! (If that's a pro yet) - Successfully provided internet for all the computers in my household - Setup was easy, but then again, I owe that to Windows.
Cons: - Broke after 2 months. Not a very good lifespan - I tested my download rate before and after (Comparing it to my old Linksys WRT54GL Wireless b/g), and my old router was faster.
Other Thoughts: Here's the thing: n-draft just isn't good enough to be worth the switch for households. For large restaurants, workplaces, etc. That require many many people to access one point, yeah, that would be quite beneficial. But for now, G still has the upper hand for home use. I only replaced our old router because it died after working for more than 8 years. I'll be buying another one of those.

Pros: doesnt look half bad
Cons: connection slows to a crawl, have to reboot router multiple times a day even with latest firmware and several talks to tech support

Nothing but Headaches
Pros: Nice to have the Gigabyte capability
Cons: I have had no luck getting a good connection when paired with the Linksys WMP600N PCI network card even though the computer is only 20 feet from the router. If I can get a connection at all, it is at a slower speed, and I get a stronger signal from my old Dlink G-Band router
Other Thoughts: I bought this router and network card combo to avoid running wiring with the expectation of getting a usable high speed wireless connection. I consistantly get stronger signal strength and speed on my laptop using a 5 year old Dlink G-band router.

Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: After running this router for a while, the connection speed keeps getting slower. If you power off the thing then power up, it speeds back up. Who needs that?? Need Cisco to come up with an update to firmware to remedy the situation.

Good speed, but?
Pros: Great speed, easy setup.
Cons: First one had the linksys heat issue, newegg RMA'd for me no problem, will repost when new one arrives.
Other Thoughts: This was a great Wlan other than the heat issue. If you ever get a linksys make sure to download heavily and transfer lots of files. this will let you know if you got a defective unit. it will heat up very quickly. if you don't it will get kind of hot and completely die later on when its past the return time limit.

After 2 days...
Pros: ...works pretty well. Gigabit ports. Auto-recognized internal wireless card for my laptop at 300Mbps speed (Atheros AR 5008). Very fast.
Cons: I don't seem to get the same signal strength I did with old 108Mbps Netgear, but signal has yet to drop (knock on wood). Wish it would have some sort of vertical stand.
Other Thoughts: Only a couple of days so far, but seems worth it. Would give it 5 eggs if signal strength was as good as before. Very happy with purchase ($90 with discounts). If you are an advanced user, just skip past the guided install and go to admin page.

Great Wireless Router
Pros: Easy to install, setup. Included Linksys EasyLink Advisor (LELA), appears to be a pretty useful tool. I like the gigabit ports and have connected to a docsis 3.0 modem having gigabit throughput as well. Internet and LAN response is downright zippy.
Cons: None, it appears to work very well.
Other Thoughts: I didn't notice until after I ordered this router that you have to manually choose the wireless band you want your devices to use. The next router up in the Linksys line negotiates his automatically with each device. I might have paid extra for the added flexibility.

Blazing Fast
Pros: Just to let you know, I have three laptops, two Macs, and two printers (one laser and one inkjet) connected to the same network, and it is still BLAZING FAST. It is ridiculous how good this router is, its sleek enough that i can have it in my room and it looks really nice. its fast enough to handle all my devices. its around 100dlls which i thought was a STEAL!! once i compared it to others. i highly recommend it, it shows to be able to handle multiple devices without sacrificing performance.
Cons: the startup guide is really wierd, and, at first it didn't want to connect to the internet. there was a wireless signal but no internet. After about 5 minutes the internet started flowing, and everything was good! P.S. i would buy a good ethernet cable, the one it comes with is junk! but that would be personal preference!
Other Thoughts: RECOMMEND!! BUY IT!!

Exelent!!!1
Pros: Got it for under $100 with promo codes and I am loving every second of it. All my online games run even faster now. It works perfect with the LINKSYS WGA600N adapter.
Cons: Vista didn't seem to like to connect to it but eventually for some odd reason it warmed up and connected just fine without the software, which is mostly useless anyway.

Great for the $$
Pros: Good deal on sale w/ free ship, nice looking, Gbit ports are fast, good connect to other dual band adapters.
Cons: Setup was a bit rough. Ended up not using CD just let Vista networking do it. G throughput so-so. Installing wireless network printer was a headache but finally got it to work.
Other Thoughts: Get it and all of the adapters you can to match.

Great Router
Pros: Very easy to set up. I just put in the CD that came with the router and it was set up. I do not even think I needed to use the CD. This thing connects great with a WUSB600N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter. Since it has 4 10/100/1000 wired ports along with wireless N it is a huge upgrade from my old 10/100 wired D-Link router.
Cons: It does not come with a detailed manual, you have to download it from www.linksysbycisco.com. If your a basic user you do not need the manual since all the default/auto settings are normally best.
Other Thoughts: I got this for $99 when they had a promo code for it. One of the best c-notes I have ever spent.

Great Wireless N Router
Pros: Very simple to set up. Easy to understand gui with simple help. Great range on either frequency.

old hardware users beware
Pros: Easy to setup, nice features, good range and speed.
Cons: Although in mixed mode, the system works great with new clients, older G clients however are sketchy.
I have 4 systems that I tested against of varying ages. My new Dell laptop had no problems running in N mode.
However my older Dell, Acer, Sony, and Toshiba laptops (ages 2-5 years old) worked to varying degrees in mixed mode with dual (B/G) and tri band (A/B/G) radios. The tri band clients worked ok for short bursts and would then stop passing data but stay connected, others were relatively slow and would drop altogether, and one wouldn’t even connect at all. I ran multiple tests on different channels with no major changes between.
Other Thoughts: Although I recommend the unit if you are buying a complete set of gear to use the N radio and don’t have any legacy B/G gear this will probably work OK for you. If you are looking for reliability over speed, I still recommend the WRT54G routers. Had I not needed the integrated gigabit switch, I would have put my WRT54G back in place and returned this unit.
To get it working best for me, I finally installed the unit in A only mode for my newer clients, and installed a separate B/G access point for my older clients and all is running great.

Great router!
Pros: I'm running windows vista 64 and decided to replace my linksys WRT150N router with a dual band. Setup was a snap and the CD worked on the vista machine. I'm getting 1 Gbps speed on the Gig ethernet card I installed. Using the linksys IP address to change settings on the router is also easy. Getting 5 bar wireless strength throughout my 2-story house. Had the router for a week and so far so good. Linksys products are easy to use in my opinion. Good product overall.
Cons: None so far. Perhaps a USB port on the router itself would be beneficial but then again if I wanted a USB I would have opted for the 610 router.

Pros: Good download speeds, nice form factor relatively easy setup (with windows) Linux users see below
Cons: I am running 2 Linux distro's on my Machine (Suse 11.1 Mandriva 2009) I could not talk to this router up using the default IP address. I called Linksys support and they told me I can only use their cd to do the initial config and told me to get another pc running windows to run their setup program. Fortunately I had a laptop running XP so I got it working.
Other Thoughts: Minus the setup issue ( for Linux users) I like this router and would recommend it. The Linksys rep did note my os and said she would send my info to management for possible future inclusion of Linux. ( And maybe someone out there knows how to get around this)

No problem
Pros: Setup was relatively straight forward and very similar to my old linksys router.
Cons: Instructions should have required to you to power down and restart all devices, cable modem, router and computer. That's the only way to get all of them to recognize each other and start working. This is true for any router I have used with a Comcast modem.
Other Thoughts: 70 Mbs is the maximum sustained transfer rate of a single 7,200 rpm harddrive. Gigabyte is not going to do you any good unless you have raid drives or good quality SSD's.

Works great after tough setup
Pros: Very fast. Upgraded up from Wireless G w/Speed Booster. Great price for dual band router. Love the small size and internal antennas.
Cons: Hard to setup at first and I have done this several times. Instructions were not clear and the step by step guide was less than helpful. Tried several things until I finally got it to recognize and start installing. Worked great after that.
Other Thoughts: If you can get by the setup then definitely worth the $$$.

Worked Great
Pros: I had no problems with this router what so ever. Automatically picked up the DHCP from COX in Oklahoma City. Same GUI as most other Linksys routers. I was online in minutes. Range was vastly superior to my old no-name router. Up to 60ft through several walls with decent signal strength.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this router to both beginning home users and tech savy users.

Do You Like Indian Accents??
Pros: You get to spend a lot of time ion the phone with an east Indian call center. A LOT.
Cons: First on of these I bought was easy to troubleshoot--it wouldn't power on...at all. Second one was worse. Spent 12 hours over 4 days on the phone with tech support I could barely understand. Linksys refused to elevate to level 2 support...maybe they don't have any? Router dropped network connection regularly and never achieved better than 72 Mbps...Gigabit my hiney.
Other Thoughts: After repeated attempts to fix the second router--by doing the same things over and over again--they wanted to RMA it. After going 0-for-2, I refused. I would recommend you stay as far away from this product as possible.
