Apple or IBM
Pros: Quality design, portable, good battery life, quick start, well run with multimedia and video cast.
Cons: No right mouse click which annoying, sometimes freezing like windows, click to open application take time but if you not pation and click again it will close. Software expensive. More difficult to configure network stuff.
Other Thoughts: I like quick start good multimedia future, more stable then windows, but after have MAC about 1 year, I back to Windows. The reason - Apple overprice MAC & Software not always available.

Great Laptop
Pros: I love this computer, from the time I turned it on, to as I'm typing this review, its nice and fast. It boots up in like 30 seconds, its amazing. The battery life is fantastic, as I can squeeze about 5 hours on a single charge, with wifi on. This is my first mac, and I am extremely satisfied.
Cons: None really, perhaps a dvd recorder on the low end? doesn't really bother me, as this laptop isn't my only computer.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this as a refurb from Apple, and it is like new condition, and I upgraded the RAM to 4gbs...its not that hard at all to do.

Good, but not Great
Pros: I am able to run Windows on it with out any problems and leopard looks pretty. It is quiet easy for the average user to use if they do not need to make a lot of system changes, but other than that the OS seems pretty locked down.
Cons: This computer runs very hot--beware. The power cord is flimsy, nice try Apple, but I rather have the standard plug set that usually comes with computers.
Other Thoughts: if you are an average use, this computer will do you fine. Make sure you get Office for Mac so that you can make and read documents made on a PC.

Three Years In. . .
Pros: 25-second boot, no fussing with anything (from wireless to updates and administration), excellent battery life, relative confidence with regard to being safe from malware, sturdy design, OSX Tiger has been very stable & trouble-free, runs Windows both in dual-boot and under VM-Ware.
Cons: Gets warm on your lap while charging battery, keyboard took about a week to get used to, case and screen show finger marks easily. We also had a minor screen flicker problem, which has been fixed.
Other Thoughts: When we first got this, almost three years ago, it was a revelation - fast, smooth, light, and stylish (we got the black model and it still looks brand-new).
It took me a while to master OSX although I could do the usual things - email, web, writing & saving docs, etc. - immediately without trouble.
Under the hood, though, OSX is Unix. So if you want it, Unix command-line magic is available just by going into Terminal. Pay attention to what you are doing and read up a bit first, though. Know what you're trying to accomplish and how you're going to do it. Anyway, with a little enjoyable study and some care, you can do things that aren't possible in the GUI. Many Linux commands work, too.
Between the smooth and safe OSX (where we do our shopping and bill paying), Windows capability if we need it, and Unix command line power, I feel that this has been a near-perfect laptop. It's a mature product nearing the end of its model run, which can be looked at as either good and bad.

Interesting...
Pros: Very stylish. (I know, but it is.) Moves quickly. I like the way the OS interface 'feels' compared to Windows.
Cons: Expensive if you just look at the specs on paper.
Other Thoughts: This is my first Apple computer since the Apple IIe. Overall I'm very pleased with it, I'm glad I bought it. I enjoy using it most of the time. Every once and a while I get frustrated that there isn't more Windows<->OSX interoperability, but I guess that's what happens when two closed worlds collide. (Example: The MacBook webcam won't work with Windows Live Messaging - which is what my Mom uses and is used to. SO - I have to dual-boot into Windows, and use an external webcam to video chat. Seems silly...)

Chic design and operating system, but cheaply put together
Pros: I do not think that anyone could argue, that Apple is like the high end couture fashion of the computer world when it comes to design. They also make some really fun and hip programs that come with their operating systems. And yes, it is true, you are less likely to receive pop-ups and viruses than a PC. So have fun being promiscuous and downloading music, without having to be fearful of getting a virus.
Cons: I have to say that the product is cheaply made. My case cracked within the first month that I had it. The white casing color was very sensitive to absorbing stains. My recharger caught on fire, my battery stopped charging and finally my airport stopped working. In the beginning the Apple store was great about fixing things such as the cracked case, which is a known problem. But after two years when my airport stopped working and I had cracks in my case due to the cheap plastic they refused to fix things despite having applecare. It is because of this and the cheap casing and many bugs that I could never support apple again, despite the fact that I actually do prefer their operating system.
Other Thoughts: If you do indeed go for an Apple. I would suggest buying the Macbook Pro, which has a steal case that is less likely to crack. I would also spend an addition $40 to buy a plastic case for extra protection. Also, make sure you get Applecare because it is very likely that you will have some problems down the line. Apple has some very redeeming qualities, but unfortunately in my opinion their cons outweigh the pros.

Converted to Mac
Pros: This is a great laptop, Mac OS X, and it also comes with leopard, witch leaves Vista eating dust. I got the Apple MacBook MB061LL witch is almost the same, but with a lower cpu, and HD,. I also spited the HD( Boot camp is awesome) so I can run Vista, in case I run into a software that doesnt run on OS-X, but I dont see myself loading it anytime soon. I will be great for my medical school
Cons: The Keyboard hurts, I know they could've done a better job. Im not sure, but I wonder if Mac buy refurbished headsets, and get those speakers in this notebook because the quality is awful. The Anti-gloss is not the best one arround
Other Thoughts: this is overall a great laptop, OS Leopard is solid, it made a lot easier my transaction from XP/Vista, I only had to restart it once on Mac. Things you might want to give a second thought: A external HD, I got passport elite of 250g to carry with me, and a Mybook of 500g as a Backup A memory Upgrade And definably a cooler, its a pentium so you know it will get pretty hot, and if you are a College student you will you will have it on your lap, most of the time And if you are going to spend a lot of time typing you might want to consider a comfortable keyboard.

It's Okay
Pros: It is a very thin computer. The display is very bright and I love the glossy screen. Handles Xp well under Bootcamp.
Cons: It runs extremely hot after an hour of use. The software seems a bit restictive ( I am a biase Windows user). I still trying to figure out how to use all of the software in Leopard.
Other Thoughts: Well built machine, not a fan of Leopard. If you are a PC user. Stick with it. Macs aren't as hype as people make them out to be.

Way overpriced
Pros: Easy to use Reliable Mac OS X Elegant design Fast wireless
Cons: Extremely underpowered. This computer has no graphics card, making it all but impossible to play any games (it barely runs WoW). Also runs very hot, making it unusable on your actual lap. Not only are the speakers barely audible, the quality of sound on the line out is terrible and distortion is very audible and moderate sound levels.
Other Thoughts: Basically, an extremely expensive wireless internet device. Not worth it IMO.

Nice & Small
Pros: Overall good laptop, nice outlook and small.
Cons: Memory somewhat is not enough, i would get the memory upgrade from newegg. Be careful on memory if you would get it from some place else, because you cant just put any brand !!
Other Thoughts: As always, Nice & fast shipping from Newegg... I love you people ! :)

The Best Part About It
Pros: Good quality build, high quality parts are in it, small and compact, um.... bright screen?
Cons: MAC OSX leopard was a major disappointment. I picked one up to work with to do school work and to familiarize myself for work so I can troubleshoot these things and I was very disappointed with Safari and the general feel of the OS. It is shinny looking but very wasteful with system resources and general running. OSX crashes everyday using safari when checking e-mail.
Other Thoughts: The best part of this laptop is that it comes with boot camp. Boot camp lets you install another OS such as windows (xp, vista) or linux. So, the best part of this laptop is when I put XP on it. XP is much faster than OSX.

Great Laptop
Pros: This is a great laptop for the reason you can put xp or vista on here at the same time. You do not need a virus protector or spyware on the mac side which is great but you do need to put it on the xp or vista side. Just make sure that you have 2gb or more of memory.
Cons: I can't really say there are any.
Other Thoughts: If your laptop is running hot all of the time. There is an update out there for that.

GREAT AFFORDABLE LAPTOP
Pros: This is my first MAC notebook, after reviewing it and reading a lot of good reviews about it, I decided to buy one. OK what do I like about it? First of all, this notebook is pretty light, so it is very easy to carry around. The quality of the screen is superb and the screen is very easy to clean.
The speed of this laptop is amazingly fast, especially after you install the 4 GIGS memory. I am very impressed with this laptop, it is very fast for graphic design works! I don't really play games, so I am not sure about the gaming quality.
I am a web developer and one thing that I love the most about this MacBook is the fact that it can run Windows XP! Yes, this MacBook can run Windows Operating System. How do you do that? You use Bootcamp partition and then you use Parallrels software. I am very happy because I can do my Visual Basic and PHP programming on my Windows and then do my design work on my MAC. I don't need to buy a PC and MAC
Cons: It gets REALLY hot! I can't really use it very long on my lap when I am sitting. I have to put a pad over my lap.
Other Thoughts: I am very happy with my first MacBook laptop because now I no longer have to carry my heavy PC laptop and now I have both Windows OS and MAC OX on my laptop which makes my life easier!

For my First mac
Pros: Great for my first apple macbook i had never used or even considered buying a macbook... but this book does everything i throw at it i have also performed tests with both xp and vista on this macbook both run great without any problems on boot camp i didn't have to worry about installing additional drivers as i only needed to load my mac disc and installed all the necessary files in xp and vista..... osx leo is great and flawless great os and great notebook...also third party ram runs great i bought a set of 2gig sticks from g.skill and loaded it on this baby and runs great!!!
Cons: Runs hot and bought a laptop cooler...
Other Thoughts: Please be very specific spec matching when it comes to the memory if not it will not load or work please only you high quality memory but if you have to use cheap memory match it to the spec
