Pros: I only have good thoughts for this laptop. I travel and it has performed well in numerous airports. The software on the computer is what I needed. It powers up quickly and has performed for me without any flaws. The price is a steal for the performance, size of hard drive and ram. This was purchased from Newegg and this company is great.

Cons: I have disabled the face recognition feature. It did not perform well for me in a bright areas. I may have to get an antiglare screen for it.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a good bargain with high performance, look no further.

Pros: This computer is great! I love it. I like the fact that you can restore everything with the click of one button. It's fast and I have used it since day one. It is a very good price.

Pros: Everything except the display

Cons: Although I haven't been bothered so much by the reflective display as some others have been, the display does have some problems that are somewhat bothersome. As soon as I unplug the laptop, even when the battery is fully charged, the display darkens significantly. Also, the colors are considerably off. I've adjusted it as best I can, but they're still off.

Other Thoughts: This is a great laptop, especially for the price. I don't know if others have experienced the display problems I have. I'm a web designer, so they do handicap me a a bit in my work. For the most part, though, I'm very happy with this machine and would recommend it.

Pros: I got rid of vista immediately, and installed ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 6. Runs Ubuntu 8.10 Great, just had to do some minor tweaking to get all the Special Sound features working. Has very nice battery life, about 3-4 hours with compiz fusion running.

Cons: Absolutely None.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could get a 9 cell battery for it, but because of the chassis design, you can't get a bigger battery. Not a that big of a deal though.

Pros: At first I was skeptical of the whole Vista switch from XP. That was my first deterrent from getting ths laptop. But after some reviews and talking to my best bud who has worked with Vista on a larger scale, I changed my mind and went with it. The screen is huge! I love it! It's fast, more memory than I need which is nice, cool looks and the Dolby Home Theater is GREAT! The low end of the sound quality is incredible! The webcam is pretty cool. It's nice to have a laptop that has a battery that last longer than 2 hours! The CTRL key is switched with the FN key but I got used to it, no biggie. All in all, this laptop was a smart buy and I am ever so thankful I did get it!

Cons: The keyboard seems to have some issues with me. I'm used to being able to type lightly but this keyboard plays rough. I'm not sure if it's because its new or what, but when I type, sometimes the keys I press do not register. Outside of that, I have no other complaints!

Other Thoughts: Like it a lot!!! This is the next best thing aside from a thinkpad!

Pros: Slim and compact for a "full-size" laptop. Good choice of features. Hard drive is a Western Digital-- top of the heap for reliability. Good placement of connectors.

Cons: No install disks included for Vista-- I guess this is now SOP, but makes me uncomfortable. So I cloned the drive to an external WD drive. Hopefully this won't be needed...

Other Thoughts: I found some of the hype amusing. Instead of "stereo" microphones, the laptop sports an "array microphone" consisting of... 2 microphones!

Pros: For the price. You can not beat this computer. It is durable, and it has a very unique design and look. I have had no performance issues with this laptop.

Cons: The only thing I don't like is the function key and the number lock. I do a great deal of typing and the function key has to be pressed when selecting text. For example: func+shift+end. This is the combo you have to use to select a line of text - I don't like this. But the key board is very sturdy.

Pros: Fast, stable, reliable and probably the best value out there. Runs Ubuntu Linux near flawlessly (some tinkering to get the cool extra sound features) right out of the box. I set mine up with dual partition, Ubuntu and Vista. Then within Ubuntu I've got Sun's VirtualBox running Windows XP with the Adobe CS3 Suite, and mine only has 2 GB ram and 250 GB disk. I can't say enough about this machine - I love my lenovo!!!

Cons: I should have gotten more ram, so the 3 gb offer looks decent to me. Honestly, I can't think of any others, maybe more usb ports...

Other Thoughts: I've owned dell, hp, compaq, toshiba, sony and ibm laptops in the past. This is by far one of the best and one of my most favourite laptops by far. Mainly because it's so versatile and I can share files between Ubuntu and XP (running in the Sun VirtualBox), granted, when I have 10 or so programs open in Ubuntu and running XP with CS3 running something (since I only have 2 gb ram, 1gb is dedicated to Ubuntu and 1 to XP when both are running) it does take some things a moment or two to do especially if I'm working on a large graphic file. This is a great multi-environment laptop!

Pros: This thing works flawlessly out of the box. There is little bloat ware and you cant really ask for a better laptop for the price you pay here. The laptop itself is sturdy as bricks it feels like it was very well built and it definitely lives up to the Lenovo name. The sound quality is superb and the screen is a work of art in itself. The multimedia keys are great as is the novo power button for performance scaling to increase battery life. The battery life is one of the best i have ever had on a laptop.

Cons: Came with vista installed. :(

Other Thoughts: 3gb of ram is perfect amount to run vista which uses about 30-40% just to run. Power brick has cool blue lenovo logo. BUY THIS NOW who knows how long newegg will have this deal.
