Best Cooler for Medium Tower
Pros: You must remove your motherboard. However, this screws into a suppot under the motherboard. It is easy to install. I had others with the snap in pins and returned them. My Cpu started at 30C and is still 30C. I am not overclocking. I have an Intel core 2 duo. It is the best. I use a Gigabyte motherboard GA-EP-45-UD3L. I give it 5 stars ( the Cooler).
Cons: None

Better than most
Pros: Quiet, Does the job. Reasonably priced.

The v8 of cooling
Pros: Gorgeous, durable, excellent quality. It's a beast. The fan is inside the heatsink itself, allowing it to pull/push hot air blowing on the heatsink, and from the heatsing itself, out the back.
Fit perfectly, screws actually are not a pain.. a lot of pressure is NOT required.
It works. I love it.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Make sure when you put this on, the fan is positioned so it will blow out the back. It fits on multiple ways. SO make sure.

Excellent cooling option!
Pros: Great cooling option, looks and feels heavy-duty. My E8400 stays at 30 C idle and 36 C under load. I especially like the actual metal base and screws that's used to connect this Cooler to the motherboard. After multiple blisters trying to, and failing at, using the plastic pushpin of the stock Intel cooler that came with the E8400, this thing was a godsend.
Cons: None whatsoever.

Always A Great Cooler.
Pros: Excelent cooler. As i said in an erlier review I own three of thees and all in micro cases, They work great on all socket 775 CPU's that I have tried ranging from celerons to Quad cores. THEY KEEP YOUR CPU COOL.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: As for AndrewA review, This cooler was designed for socket 775 CPU's not for the new 1366 boards, so don't blame the cooler, Blame the builder!

OK heatsink...
Pros: Cheap at $35 bucks shipped, keeps my i7 920 stable at 40 degrees and under load at 75c. Better than stock cooler at least.... Screws make it 100% better than push pins
Cons: It got only 3 eggs from me because of the hassle it caused with the Asus P6T mobo and my i7 920. First putting it o with the backplate was a hassle as it screws in. I can put my hand up to the heatsink fan and it blows out minimum amount of air in one spot only. First bootup, install, great, works well but Temps abit high at 45-55. So I take it off, add thermal crease and its won't boot. Odd... Found out it was the 2 Dimms on the Asus P6T mobo..... I update bios and all with 1 Dimm in the slot and still nothing. Wierd cause it just worked for 2 days without problems.... So I play around to find out, that if I screw this in with too much pressure against the CPU, it fails. So I had to unscrew the bolts to there tips and it works just fine. Now I know this isn't meant for a i7 1366, but my board had a 775 pins so it could work. Just bad design.
Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this for a i7 920 and Asus board. Save your money and get something else. it does work if you get it, but hassles and I will be replacing this shortly.

Beautiful and Silent
Pros: Silence, finish, materials, mounting and assembly.
Cons: The threads of the shoulder bolts used for mounting are to short to mount the unit without removing the motherboard. I did find a method of supporting the back bracket so motherboard removal was not needed.
Other Thoughts: Work great with Asus Q-Fan. This is really an outstanding product. The low price makes it a great value. Highly recommended, especially if you have a Asus MB. P5Q-E, 4GB G-Skull, Q9450, P180,HX620,9600GSO/Top

Cons: none
Other Thoughts: so good i just got another one for my new build/ another plus is the backplate this is a must never go with the snapin type u r a fool if u get that type trust me u will lv this cpu cooler

Laszlo
Pros: Excellent heat sink, fitted nicely on my Abit 35Pro motherboard. Very quiet for a high performance cooler. Running at 39C average on warm days to 45C under heavy loads.
Cons: Because of it's size it might not be compatible with some motherboards. Go figure, I was not able to fit it on an Extreme Striker Motherboard, funny enough both made by Asus.
Other Thoughts: It came with a $10.00 mail in rebate, which you can pretty much forget about. It's not a lot of money, but if you're going to put in the work and the hassle of sending off for it, you should get it back. I tried calling even and was not put through, shame on you ASUS...

Cool For The Buck.
Pros: Great Cooler For The Money. Q-6600 Overclocked to 3.2 GHZ. Core Temps. all Below 40C. At Max Load. What More Do You Want From A Cooler? Also Has A Good Solid Mounting System, It Is Quite Heavy.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I Have Read Reviews About This Being Noisy At Max Speed. I Own Three Of These And None Of Mine Are. Very Quiet As Far As I Am Concerned.

No issues here- works fine on Q
Pros: Nice solid mounting- back frame and screw hardware-fits great on gigabyte GA-EP45-UDP-3, works fine on Q6600 (not over clocked). No clearance issues whatsoever. Quality product- is somewhat large. Not going to fit in any small case for sure. Quiet cpu fan.
Cons: Some state you have to take the motherboard out to mount. Not so here. Mine is on a slide out tray- just removed the tray, slid the back plate under MB and used a wooden Barb-B-Q skewer to hold in place till I was able to start mounting screws. I did clean off oem thermo paste and install artic silver. Took less than 5 min.
Other Thoughts: I'm using this in a Lian PC-61 case with 4 case fans. Cooler is always cold to luke warm to the touch. monitoring CPU temps confim findings. CPU cooler fan running @ 1560rpm . I would not be afraid to overclock CPU with this cooler in place.

nice product
Pros: The compact unit also houses a smart fan that the motherboard can control the speed...
Cons: If its not a new install, you have to tear the system to install the bracket under the MOBO...
Not an issue on a new install.

If u want cool and silent get this!!!!
Pros: WOW, is all I can say this CPU cooler keeps my quad core at 28-30 C and makes no noise at all this is worth the money and then some
Cons: None so far, maybe for some might be too big to fit, but I doubt it
Other Thoughts: I am glad I went with this instead of the intel heat sink/fan it comes with

Pros: Newegg always fast!!!!! Orderd my stuff on sunday night useing stadard shipping and had it all by Wendsday. Keep it up Newegg
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I didnt get to test drive this cooler but just wanted people to know that if you purchase the DFI land party DK X38 T2RB LGA 775 mother board the fan does not fit properly. The north bridge and heat tubes on this mother board are in the way.

Very Nice
Pros: Nice mounting, it screws in instead of the Intel push pin design. Not too big, fits with cover on. Before installing, I video rendered some HD footage(gets really hott when doing so) then I rendered the same footage with the new ASUS V-60 heat sink and fan. Went from 62c to 47c and my idle went from 47c to 34c. Really pleased with this product.
Cons: Had to remove my fan for my heatsink to North Bridge but not really a CON due to the new fan blows right across it.
Other Thoughts: ASUS P5N-T Deluxe motherboard, Q9550 1333Ghz 2.83Ghz Quad Core, 8GB Total RAM (1066Mhz), x1 9800GT ASUS Nivida 512MB Graphic Card, 700Watt Silverstrone PSU.

Pros: FAST SHIPPING!!!!! 8 days to FPO address in Japan (normally 2 weeks or more). All my New Egg purchases come in way before I expect them to. Just finished a full build and all parts came in fast and worked out of the box. NICE!!!!!!
Cons: None yet. If by some chance something craps out, I'll leave another review.

Great Cooler
Pros: Fits easily on GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L motherboard, quiet, works much better than stock cooler
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I was a little worried it might interfere with either the northbridge heatsink or the RAM, but it is well designed has plenty of clearance from the other components

Nice cooler
Pros: Bought this when I upgraded from an e6700 to a QX9750. I had a stock cooler on the e6700 on an Asus P5W DH Dlx and the CPU idled around 42C, load in the upper 50's. Going from two cores, 65nm at 2.67GHz to four cores, 45nm at 3.16GHz and my temps went down 10+ degrees. My cpu is now at 29C.
Cons: Fricken yuge, man! Like I said, it's on a P5W DH Dlx and it BARELY fits. The V60 is coming millimeters from the heatsink for the northbridge. I was very worried while looking at it before installing it. But it just barely fit. Make sure you have enough room before buying.
Other Thoughts: Can't speak to the noise level since I have three other fans in my server that are pretty loud.

The whistles go woo woo!
Pros: Quality construction and packaging. Solid mounting with backplate and screws makes sure this heatsink stays put. Fits well on my P5Q Deluxe.
Cons: Bubb Rubb would feel at home with this cooler in his PC. It's quiet and efficient right up until the PWM fan needs to speed up to combat a hotter processor. The unique shape and placement of the fan create a heatsink that likes to whistle. As the PWM throttles the fan up and down it sounds like a plane taxi-ing for takeoff. Woo woo! Which is unfortunate, I really wanted to like this cooler but that's the reason I bought it- to be silent!
Other Thoughts: Woo woo! Back to Newegg you go!

ASUS V-60 CPU Cooler
Pros: Easy to install. Quiet Operation. Solid Product. Much better than stock Intel Cooler. Keep Intel Core2Duo CPU at 72F degree or 23C.
Cons: None. (If you have a small case might be a problem. Just measure before you order)
Other Thoughts: Newegg delivery is getting slower. Must be due to current economic situation. Federal bail-out funds for Wall Street. Federal bail-out funds for UPS. Federal bail-out funds for USPS. Federal bail-out funds for local pizza store. Federal bail-out funds for everybody. Yeah...

V-60
Pros: Looks good in the case. This thing far out performs any stock intel cooler and is nearly silent. I ran the games with it as soon as I received it, no fan noise, no hot air coming off it even after 1/2 hour of intensive game action. This is installed on an E8400 Wolfdale. It also comes with a heat transfer pad attached, no need to apply messy heat sink compound. Add the price is great too!
Cons: Have to remove the MoBo to attach the back plate.
Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this unit.

Works like magic
Pros: I run an Intel Q6700 OC, Arctic Silver, and this fan. My CPU temps barely break 100F if the heater is on in the house ;)
Cons: I don't like it that the fan in sandwhiched inside the fins. If I eve have to lube it, I will have to dissassemble the entire piece or get a new one. I haven't had to yet (so keep crossing fingers).
Other Thoughts: None really, it's super quiet (under the Antec 900, what isn't?). It does the job.

Not as good as I was hoping for a quad.
Pros: The mounting plate and mounting system are top notch and it looks good. That's about it.
Cons: The base looks like it was sanded with 20 grit. It isn't perfectly flat either making core 0 warmer then the others. I verified by pulling the cooler back off and you could see the one corner of artic silver wasn't even touched. If you are looking for a cooler on a budget go for the AC Freezer.
Core temps full load Core 0 52c Core 1 44c Core 2 45c Core 3 45c
Q9550 @ 3.45ghz
Other Thoughts: It has potential. I have a true 120 coming to replace it. I may eventually lap it and see if I can't get it to make better contact. I got the AC Freezer for my Q6600 that is oc'd to 3.10 right now and the warmest core at full load doesn't go over 43c. Save yourself 20 bucks.

Awasome cooler!
Pros: This cooler is big and heavy, pure quality. My Intel stock cooler had my E4500 @2.5 running 39C idle and 65C load.. and any overclocker knows thats no good. With this cooler my cpu is @3.0 running 24C idle and 45C after Crysis and 3Dmark06. So it does an amazing job!
Cons: Remember to put the bracket behind your motherboard, screw it on... LoL dad and I spent an extra 10 mins figuring that one out.. Not a con at all, just filling the space :)
Other Thoughts: Wow, sure am happy with the performance of this unit!

Works great for Q6600
Pros: Awesome works like a charms keeps the intel Core 2 Quad Q 6600 idle between 21 and 23 C and at max usage about 32 to 36.
Cons: Is a bit hefty and the fan dosnt move as much air as id like but it keeps it more than adequately cooled.
Other Thoughts: Dont forget to put the cooler on before you install the motherboard. Some reviews say dont work for quads but it works fine for me.

Great Fan
Pros: Great looking unit. Very happy with it. Im running a XFX 790i ultra with a Q6600 quad core cpu. I have the Q6600 (2.4ghz) OC'd to 3.4ghz. Fan speed at 70% for idle temps of 30c-38c with just some general use and 100% speed running prime95 it will max out at 63c stable all cores 100%
Cons: None so far.... Very happy.

You can feel the heat come off.
Pros: Mounts ten times better than any stock intel fan.
Cons: You have to remove your Mobo to install, but if it's a new build it shouldn't matter.
Other Thoughts: As people said it's big. I got a full size tower so i have about 3 inches of clearence between this and the pc side wall.

WORTH IT!
Pros: If you're looking at this, it means youre looking for a better cooling solution. stop right here and click "add to cart"- you will not be disappointed. It seems large at first, but it is beautiful, and does its job flawlessly. Installation could not be any easier.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: the fan inside keeps the heatsink it's built around insanely cool- it is a brilliant design and looks cool as well. Fits inside my windowed case even with an 80mm fan inside the window.

Cant Believe my Results
Pros: My Cpu temps were around 50*C idle and would get up to 80*C gaming with the stock intel fan. After throwing this bad boy on, im @ 48* MAX DURING GAMING. I cant believe how well and effecient this thing is. It also fit in a mid tower with no sweat!
Cons: You will have to remove your board if its already installed, which is a pita, but trust me its well worth it. This type of mount is much stronger and well never come loose since its a screw type, not some cheap plastic clamp type.
Other Thoughts: My stock CPU heatsink/fan setup is going to be scarred for life after seeing the asus setup.

Very "cool"
Pros: keeps my cpu at 16C easy. and i got a intel core 2 duo 3.0GHz my room is kinda cold though. awesome design very easy to install, comes with thermal paste right on the heat sink. has 4 prong connector for motherboard to easily adjust the speeds of the fan
Cons: none, very quiet. can be loud when the cpu is at 100 percent

Big Cool and Sleek
Pros: Retention bracket. Fan mounting inside. Very easy to install. Very cool appearance, and easy to work around in the case. Pretty big.
Cons: Retention bracket goes on the back side of the MB, so MB bottom needs to be accessed. Price. Pretty big
Other Thoughts: Well Designed, light but sturdy. My stock 775 cooler will probably never recover from the shame.

Sharp Looking /Quiet /Cools Great
Pros: Very nice looking cooler , well made unit , dropped the idle temp's by 10*c over stock cooler . Very Quiet operation , have to be right on top of it to hear it running . Peel and stick tape on back plate made installation easier .
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Great functioning cooler and a visual asset to your case as well . This was installed on an Intel Core 2 duo , 2.66ghz cpu . Nice addition to a quiet case .

Works nicely
Pros: Keeps my E6750 at stock running at 21C w/ AC Thermal Compound. Running the E6750 @ 3.21 runs at 30C. Easy install, bit of a tight fit on a Asus P5E, and very little clearance used in a CoolerMaster Stacker Full tower w/ 4 120mm fans installed on side panel, but does fit.
Cons: Louder than expected, replaced a Asus P5M2, which ran alot quieter but did not cool as well (about 10C higher than V-60). Its not overly loud, but going by specs you would expect it to be quieter.
Other Thoughts: Remove the pre-applied thermal strip and apply your own from your favorite mfg, and you are good. Can't go wrong with this heatsink.

Awesome
Pros: silent solution. Not hard to install. four heat pipe, awesome ! Do the job.
Cons: Huge size, might not fit small cases. Getting hotter on my 2600XT -- might need additional low rpm fan (system fan) for high-end graphics card
Other Thoughts: In general, recommend it.

Brrrr...it's cold !!!
Pros: Great cooler...design, fit, mounting. This thing clears all surrounding heatsinks, and memory on my Asus P5Q pro. The mounting system is absolutely great....NO crummy pushpins to contend with! And oh yeah......it cools like an icebox.
Cons: A little on the hefty side. Shouldn't be an issue though unless you kick your tower every now and then!!

Quit - but not as easy at it looks
Pros: Very quit and keeping my CPU cooler than my stock CPU fan. If you got the room, this CPU Cooler will let you overclock. I am glad I went with this one, threaded easy and was simple to tell when I finished
Cons: If you are like me and are not installing this in a new build than expect to take your motherboard out. I didn't take it out all the way, but tipped it up for the plate under it. Not a terrible Con, and just like every other cooler that is worth it's weight, and in this case this thing is not light.
Other Thoughts: So far so good - I was not looking forward to doing it, but it wasn't bad by the time I was done. At this price it was well worth it. This thing is big, My motherboard is Asus P5N-E SLI and didn't have a problem fitting it. My case is an Antec Midtower and did not leave a lot of room.

GREATTTT
Pros: It is dead silent and the heatpipes work fantastic... I dont know what all these people are griping about on the quad core i have it on my quad core right now and with gaming and extracting it sets at 42c when the stock heatsink went easily up to 55c so that is a major improvement plus i put the Arctic 5 Thermal Grease and that combo with this heatsink made a huge improvement! The price made it a steal... Screw what these other guys say!
Cons: none really
Other Thoughts: Doesnt cool your forehead when you have a fever!

Good cooler, bad research
Pros: Good cooler. seems to be very sturdy, would buy again for a penium D cpu...
Cons: says LLG775 compatible, but not for a Dell Optiplex GX620. Not compatible with the mobo that came in the dell.
Other Thoughts: Planning on getting a new mobo for my memory and cpu so i can add this cooler to the mix and get a good quiet HDPC

Great Cooler!
Pros: Incredible cooling, great looks, brilliant price point. Install was so easy a caveman could do it, easiest cooler I've EVER installed.
Cons: I have a full size Antec tower so space was not an issue for me, but could see possible issues if you had anything smaller than a high quality mid-size tower. I remember laughing in 'awe' to myself when I first removed the product from the package.
Other Thoughts: My Q6600 idles at 29°C with this cooler which was impressive to me, I've never seen temps that low in all my years of computer building. I removed the factory 'goop' that came on the heat sink and replaced it with a layer of Arctic Silver 5. I'm sure this is a strong combination and recommend it to anyone buying this cooler.

High Pitch Squeal
Pros: It cools my E8500 wolfdale great idles around 23-25c around 44c under load
Cons: I biggest problem with this cooler is that it makes a high pitch squeal when the fan runs about 1340rpm's or higher. I have replaced the fan with 3 diffrent brands and tried sound deadening material to stop it but the noise always return shortly after.
Other Thoughts: Asus makes a line of good cpu coolers just this one is giving me the squeeks.I will try another model and give this one to a friend that needs one.

very cool, very quiet
Pros: This is one of the best cpu cooler I have purchased. I bought this cooler for my Intel Q6600 quad core months ago. The installation was very easy. This cooler really standout as being quiet which is my main concern. The temperature is good helped by the fan standing vertically. I run my cpu at both 2.4ghz and 3ghz and it was able to keep the temperature running within acceptable level.
Cons: nothing
Other Thoughts: Asus should make a full copper version. It is possible to unscrew the top plate and insert your own fan if necessary.

A little better than stock
Pros: Its solid and easy to install, if you have a large case. Quiet.
Cons: e8400 stock cooler was 39C idle & 56 Load. ASUS V-60 is 38C idle and 50 Load. I tried the thermal pad, and then cleaned with arctic and used AR5. dropped 1C.
Other Thoughts: looking at other comments it would appear that some people are getting much better temps. Maybe I got a bad one? I will be buying something else next paycheck.

Fantastic CPU cooler!
Pros: I used Arctic Silver thermal paste with this, even on the first install. This fan keeps my E8500 nice and cool; it is not loud at all either, and it is incredibly easy to remove (love the LGA775 socket!). It is nice and shiny, looks awesome in my blue acrylic case, it shows the Asus name in pride (goes good with my Asus P5N-E SLI board), and does a great job at cooling; at idle, my CPU temp is at 13*C according to Everest software and my fan speed is reported at 5192 RPM.
I was thinking of going with the Zalman 9700 soon, but I don't really think I'll need to do so. I can't justify spending $70 bucks on a fan when this one does a great job!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Check the fan heat sinks regularly for dust build up; at least once a month if you have a carpeted room, or have the PC near linen; I removed my fan for the first time in a couple months; there was a lot of build up inside, which I shot right out with some canned air. It was my fault though; doing construction in the house and lots of debris flying around.

I'm Impressed
Pros: Looks great. It's big enough to do its job but not so big it dwarfs the whole motherboard and blocks your access to everything. It uses a back plate and not those worthless clips. My CPU (Q9450 Yorkfield 2.66GHz quad core) so far hasn't gone above 35c. I know that isn't exactly ice cold but it's about 10 degrees cooler than the last cooler I had and about 17 degrees cooler than the stock cooler. For its size it really works well.
Cons: I didn't get this one first.

No worries....IT'S COOL!!
Pros: Bought this cooler for a client's system build...for the money it does the job and looks impressive! As he was when he looked inside his system. I like the way it looks! It's sitting ontop of a Q6600 keepin' it cool....
Cons: None really...does what it's supposed to do...for cheap!
Other Thoughts: Didn't come with beer....

Excellent Cooler
Pros: I purchased one for my Q6600 which runs about 22 to 25 degrees celsius at idle and 28 to 35 degrees celsius at load. I then built another machine with an E8400 but because it is build on the and runs much cooler than the 65nm of the Q6600, I thought I could get away with the stock cooler. The stock for the E8400 ran at 40 to 45 degrees celsius idle/50 to 60 degrees celsius load. Deciding that was too high, I purchased another Asus V-60 and the temperature decreased immediately to between 10 and 15 degrees celsius.
Cons: It is not exactly a con because it is part of what I consider the quality of the cooler but like other quality coolers, it screws into a bracket underneath the mobo which requires you to remove the mobo or somehow fish the bracket underneath.
Other Thoughts: This cooler's fan is in the fins so it runs quiet; it has a four pin connection allowing for PWM; it screws into a bracket with spring tension screws instead of the stock push pins; it is relatively light for its size; and it looks great in my case. A definite buy. Good work Asus.

few months after...
Pros: cools down real good.
Cons: FAN! makes a whistling noise. i think its because its blowing air threw the heatsinks, but then when i first got it, there where no whistling noise. Asus fan is junk.
Other Thoughts: still love Asus. replacing fan with 92mm Arctic, Zalman, Antec, or an AeroCool... only ones that look good, newegg have up that is 92mm.

Follow up review
Pros: I recently review this cooler with the title "Personal Waste", my review was premature and I would like to do a follow up review as well get into more details.
My motherboard, a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L, comes with a program that allows you to control your CPU Power Fan's speed. I used this program to max the fan to it's highest and I watched my temperatures drop. My idle temperature is now around 32-34C, a good deal lower than my previous idle temp at 39C. This is also with a non-stock fan.**
The V-60's fan bracket is made of plastic, some of you may think this is bad because it won't be able to support the heatsink, wrong. The reason that the bracket is plastic is because the bracket can come in contact with the motherboard tray and your motherboard, the plastic prevents short circuiting your motherboard. Plus, the plastic is strong enough to hold this heatsink.
This cooler, with the right software, is adequate for any moderate system.
Cons: The fin's screw holes are easily stripped when removing the cap off of the cooler.
Other Thoughts: **The fan of this cooler is a 90mm fan, but the screw holes are made to fit an 80mm fan (similar to this fan http://www.3dnews.ru/documents/10301/igloo/top5050.jpg ). If you do plan on changing out the fan for a better one, good luck finding one that will fit that is still a 90mm fan. I ended up using a Thermaltake 80mm blue LED fan to replace it. Using my fan controller I was able to max out the rpm and still keep my CPU temp down.
If I could I would give this cooler 4.5 eggs. _______ Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L Motherboard Intel Q6600 @2.4GHz 4GB DDR2 800 Radeon HD3870 750Gb WD HDD

No better cooler for the money.
Pros: Honest, this thing is a phenomenal deal. Everyone goes on and on about the size, and they're correct in one sense: it is a massive piece of equipment. However, I had absolutely no problems at all fitting it on my ASUS P5E motherboard in an Antec 900 case. The install was substantially easier than any Intel stock cooler, because the screws work very well and easily. My E8400 idles at 20C and I've gotten it no higher than 37C under stress testing. I haven't overclocked it yet, but with temperatures like that why the heck wouldn't I? The pictures don't make it terribly clear, but there is an absolutely whisper-silent fan inside of the aluminum spreaders which blows the heat right into your case's exhaust fan.
Cons: The only bad part about this product is that I never had one for my ridiculously hot P4 Prescott CPU. Oh, and the default thermal bad is not very good (every cooler has this problem).
Other Thoughts: Use arctic silver 5 thermal compound. The thermal pad on the V-60 is about four times as thick as it should be and it might actually make your temperatures go up if you use it.

Not good for Quad cores
Pros: It looks nice and was easy to install.
Cons: This processor is NOT good for Quad cores. I was using this on my Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 processor. It was running 45-53 degrees C on idle. At 100% load it got up to 61 degrees C.
Other Thoughts: I am probably going to buy the ASUS Silent Knight CPU cooler instead. I see a lot more people using quad cores with that CPU cooler.

Unimpressed
Pros: Looks good. Compliments my ASUS P5WDG2-WS motherboard. No problem fitting it into case.
About 10 degrees cooler than stock Intel fan/heatsink, if my memory is correct (of the original Intel cooler temp).
Like the fact that it uses screws instead of twist pins or other more frustrating installation methods.
Silent. Had to place my hand on exhaust side to feel if the fan was actually on.
Cons: None. Installation time was 1 hour for me since the stock Intel fan/heatsink would not come off.
Other Thoughts: CPU: Intel X6800 Motherboard: ASUS P5WDG2-WS Case: Thermaltake Armor VA8000B (250cm side fan) Used ArctiClean and Arctic Silver 5 paste.
HWMonitor, SpeedFan, CoreTemp and CPU-Z indicate: Idle core temp: 51-52 Max load temp: 71-72 (using Prime95 torture test)
Did some googl'ing and discovered the X6800 actually runs HOTTER than other C2D's. One user reported the exact temps as mine which was a relief, as I thought temps this high indicated I had no installed the cooler properly.

Love it!!! Looks, sounds, and performs perfect
Pros: Looks fantastic, with leds in your case it bounces off it and makes it look really cool, im getting 24C idle with my stock E7200 with no artic 5 paste, just the stock paste. So it does work, i do have some of the artic 5 paste though in the toolbox of my case.
Very quite can barely tell its even on. lots of surface area for heat to disapate
Cons: bit tricky to install because you have to take out the mobo. kind of big, not a con for me but maybe somebody esle?
Other Thoughts: FANTASTIC worth every penny.

I LIKE IT ALOOOOOOT
Pros: Looks like a motorcycle engine. Ran prime95 for 10 hours at 100 cpu use with no more than 60 degrees load. Overclock my e8400 from 3.0 to 3.7 ghz.
Cons: Barely fit on my p43 mobo. That compound tape was kinda sketchy so I splack some artic cooler intead.

Great Cooler
Pros: If it keeps a QuadCore well below 40°C, it's a great buy and a great product, not to mention great price too.
Cons: It might be too big from some computer case, but with Cosmos 1000, there's room for more.

Great Cooler
Pros: Works great. My stock E6600 idles under 30C and only gets around 40 under full load.
Cons: You MUST remove the thermal paste that comes pre-installed. There is entirely too much. My temps went up when I first installed this cooler! After cleaning and reapplying just a sliver of paste temps dropped 9C!
Other Thoughts: This cooler is huge. While I had no problem getting it in my full size tower, smaller cases might have a problem.

Ummm... I wouldn't really get it.
Pros: Well, it looks nice, and is quiet.
Cons: Ok, I have this on my e8400, stock clocked. My idle temps are 50c-51c. So yeah, this cooling isn't impressive at all.
Other Thoughts: Not really any.

A personal waste
Pros: Shiny.
Cons: Matches my stock cooler.
Other Thoughts: I didn't see many reviews on here about an Intel Core 2 Quad so I decided to chance it with this cooler. The Asus V-60 is on par with the stock Intel cooler running at 39C at idle (idle as in sitting in the BIOS watching my temp go up and down, it doesn't get much more idle than that). So, if you're going to be purchasing this for a quad core, move along to something that has more bang for the buck. Another note, this is in a quite NZXT Hush case, but since the temps are the same, I figure it would be the same no matter what the case is. I would really rethink this cooler and move on to one of Asus's better coolers.

Excellent Fit
Pros: 1. Very quiet. 2. Very effecient. 3. Easy install, scews onto a supplied back plate 4. Tall, but not at all too bulky. 5. Good Price 6. Looks cool. I put this on a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Allendale, micro ATX board in a micro ATX case and it fit beautifully and cooled perfectly.
Cons: As do most builders, I prefer thermal paste to to themal tape. The instructions do not point out that there is not a protective film over the thermal tape to remove (which many heatsinks do have) and so I smudged the thermal tape a little making sure.
Other Thoughts: Buy this with with confidence for any Core 2 Duo, but the fan is not rated for Quad

Quiet and Powerful
Pros: Definitely a bit bigger than I'd expected but it fits in my SLK6850 with no issues (other than removing the side duct). The fit and finish of this cooler is top notch. The ends of the heatpipes have even been capped and coated to look smooth. The retention mechanism had me a bit nervous at first because the screws actually stopped turning at one point. I checked and my ArcticSilver 5 was peeking out from under the bottom plate so I knew I had good contact. As far as cooling goes this thing rules. I'm running an e6600 and it consistently idles around 27C. After an hour running Orthos on standard settings the temp was 42C. Very low rise in temps means this thing does it's job well. I also don't think the fan has ever kicked up even under mild OC. I'm a HUGE fan of silent computing and this thing fits the bill perfectly. Awesome value.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is that the retention screws stop at a certain point and I couldn't tell if they were too tight or if they had simply bottomed out and couldn't be turned further. Obviously by looking at my temps it's on there solidly.
Other Thoughts: Use ArctiClean! I LOVE it. I can't believe I just started using it.

Excelent
Pros: This is an unbelievably quiet and efficient cooler. I overclocked my Q9450 to 3.2GH (from 2.6), and according to everest, my cpu's temperature never exceeds 35 Celsius.
Cons: I had to remove "crazy cool" from the back of my GA-X48-DQ6 motherboard.

Ugh
Pros: Well, I have it running at 2250rpm, however I have a q9450 and didn't realize that it isn't compatible with quads. DOH. my bad. I think it would be really good on dual cores.
Cons: ???
Other Thoughts: <('.'<)

Great product.
Pros: It works great and fits on the EVGA 750i FTW mainboard mounted in the LIAN LI PC-60BPLUSII case with room to spare.
Cons: Comes with too much heat sink compound. Do yourself a favor. Remove it and replace with a TINY amount of Arctic Silver or similar paste.
I would like to see a more polished surface on the face of the heat sink, but it wasn't too bad.
Other Thoughts: I can keep the fan down at 10% for noise and my idle/light use temps stay below 36C (intel E8500 stock). Even at higher RPM's it isn't too loud.

Keeps my CPU SUPER Cool
Pros: It's keeping my OCed E8400 sub 60* under load. GREAT product
Cons: So quiet, I wouldn't know if it died...
Other Thoughts: Never though I'd say it, but this thing needs to be a BIT louder...

better than most
Pros: QUIET very quiet. Good eye candy too. Cooling is good, notice a big diff. with overclocking.
Cons: HUGE very huge. A small case will NOT work. Barely got it to fit on my motherboard. (Msi p35 neo2). Make sure you have the room. NO COPPER PLATE ALL ALUMINUM.
Other Thoughts: Bought the V-70 before this one. It was loud, this one is perfect. Quietier than a stock heatsink and fan.

Very Good fan
Pros: Very good fan for the money, nice and quite.
Cons: this thing is HUGE!! that being said it works great, I was having issues with my PC and trying to get the fans to connect properly to my MB with Intels poorly designed setup for the socket 775 chips. This fan solves that issue with the bracket that connects to the back of the MB.
Other Thoughts: I was somewhat concerned with the size of this fan that it would hang off of the MB and cause issues. Have had it installed for a few months now and no problems at all. For installation, the MB has to be taken out of the PC in order to attach the bracket. Not a big deal, just people buying this might want to know.

Excellent Value
Pros: Looks very slick, I know a true tech-head, it's function over form, but it's a clean and polished design. It's not too massive compared to a Thermalright 120 unit and the price is certainly right. Value is the best word to describe this thing.
Cons: Don't waste your time with the thermal compound that comes pre applied to the unit, I removed that and installed it with artic silver and it dropped the tems easily 8c or so lower. Currently running a e66000 clocked at 3 gigs in the low 30's at idle.
Other Thoughts: the price of stamps went up.

sweet
Pros: Its big, but not that big. Its looks tiny when its put in my mid size case. There is still about an a hainch and lf left of space between the heat sink and the side panel window. I bought this because people in this review says it cools down the cpu under 35c and people in the Zalman review say the 9500 cools down the cpu under 40c-50c.
Cons: Nada mochacha. You people got me worried when you said its too big and won't fit in your cases.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive yet works well. 'Fan in the middle'design allows for greater efficiency. Comes with your basic grey putty headsink material. Easy to install and remove, the screws are much better than the plastic push pins.
Cons: You have to remove your motherboard from the case to put the backer on. The heatsink screws in to this. Not quite as good as the really high end sinks.
Other Thoughts: I bought this with the goal of replacing my extra short OEM xeon heatsink and overclocking it somewhat (2.83Ghz to 3.4). This is a brand new setup, I did not even use the OEM heatsink. Because of variances in systems/tolerances I'm not going to post the temperatures, but I've now had the system running for a day on 100% load and the temps are right where they were when I tested it initially with stock FSB, of course I only had to add .07 volts.

Large Beast
Pros: This keeps my CPU running very cool, and is a fantastic design. Even with it's enormous size, still fits onto my motherboard. Looks nice too.
Cons: It is pretty enormous, I imagine some motherboards might not be able to fit it.
Other Thoughts: Good value for the money, once I start OCing my system this should really help out.

Best heat sinck EVER!!
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Have to take the motherboard out.
Other Thoughts: Some people said it was no good cause they broke the plastic screws, but if you don't incredible hulk them but still get them nice and tight they won't break.

Different isn't always abd
Pros: Sturdy design, semi-easy install, cools great, Processor holding steady at 30c even under a load it doesn't go over 36c.
Cons: Very big, read the reviews before I bought it...they don't give it enough justice as to how big this Heatsink really is. I was lucky everything fit, if you don't have a tall case...this will not fit unless you decide to leave the side panel off. Looks a lot like an engine block.
Other Thoughts: Used arctic silver ceramquie thermal paste.

Great Cooler
Pros: This thing cools my little E2180 OCed to 3.0 no problem. Very good looking, very quiet.
Cons: This thing is HUGE. You could house a few people in it its so big. Make sure you have enough room. It almost blocked one of my RAM slots.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you take the time to measure the space around your cooler to make sure its not blocking anything important.

Works quite good fella's
Pros: This thing works quite well, running a PD-830, which is a hot cpu to begin with, in a thermaltake Armor case. I went from 62c to 50c. I have 8 hdd's running in this case as well, so heat is by far my friend.
Cons: i cant think of much, i scraped the pad they gave me off to put on artic silver. but thats not really that much of a con
Other Thoughts: copper plate would be nice. but again, if you want a copper plate, get a higher end fan.

very nice
Pros: Much easier to install than stock heatsink/fan. Keeps cpu about 10C cooler than stock. Doesn't cut your fingers handling hehe.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Installed this on a DFI Lanparty DK X38, at first I didn't think the northbridge heatsink would fit with the Asus fan on the cpu, it's big, but with a lil hard work it just fits.

Good cooler, great price.
Pros: Great price, keeps my E8400 CPU temp at about 30-35 degrees C. when internal case temp is around 28 deg. C) The included back bracket keeps the motherboard from bending the way it does when the stock retention mechanism is used. Due to it's large cooling area, the fan runs at under 500 rpm, therefore it's quiet and should last a long time.
Cons: This is a large cooler! It works fine with GA-P35-DS3L, but check for clearance with your case and power supply. Requires mobo removal, but there is only a small amount of adhesive on the bracket, so it won't gunk up your motherboard :-)
Other Thoughts: Works fine with included thermal compound. Looks pretty impressive, too. (Has an air-cooled motorcycle cylinder look!)

Good Product
Pros: This is a great after market cooler. It keeps my OCed e6400 at lower idle temps than my intel stock cooler without the OC.
Cons: Its ginormous. I had to take the air vent from the sidepanel out because otherwise it wouldnt close. Its also touching the northbridge heatsink. At first I thought that I wouldnt be able to put it on because of this.
Other Thoughts: Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Intel C2D E6400 @ 2.67 Idle @ 25 C Load @ 45-50 C. Its a great cooler but anything smaller than a midsize case wont fit it.

Big but Small
Pros: Cools very well (for its size) Bigger Most CPU coolers but its small enough to fit in smaller cases. Very Quiet
Cons: It's still taller than a stock cooler and could be a tight fit.
Other Thoughts: It looks nice and seem to work well and be quiet. I got it to barley to fit in my Media Center Case that looks like stereo equipment. It's about a 2u size case. I did have to use a dremel tool to slightly modify my case to get it to fit but I did get it in there!

You can't go wrong
Pros: Where to begin, let's see: Awesome cooling, very quiet, large but not TOO large, comes with a thermal pad, easy installation and the icing on the cake is that it just plain looks awesome. Although it looks a lot like a motorcycle engine.
Cons: If you're sporting anything smaller than a midtower-sized case it's going to be VERY cramped in there
Other Thoughts: Ever since I installed this on my new A-bit x38 based board, I've actually seen a performance increase in games such as Assassins Creed and Crysis. Then again, this is coming off of the stock Intel heatsink

Like a reptile...
Pros: ...so quiet and cool. My 20% overclocked Quad 6600 runs like an iceberg, and it's so quiet I get to hear my neighbor's whippets barking a block away behind closed windows.
Cons: Zero.
Other Thoughts: Easy to install

Great Choice
Pros: Had a brief worry about the size, not having bought a CPU cooler since a Zalman for an AMD64 X2, but it fits just fine. Helps having a large case - Antech P190 - but it even clears the 'Big Boy' fan on the case side door, so no issues there. Runs quiet and cool. Very please with my choice.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Had to remove the 'Crazy Cool' copper plate from the underside of my Gigabyte mobo to install the mounting bracket, but it was a simple process. Just need to make sure you install the cooler *before* you install the motherboard in the case.
