Excellent, exactly as expected
Pros: Works as intended , huge upgrade from stock, matched this with arctic 5 grease and my comp is running 26 degrees idle as compared to 37 stock. I am satisfied.
Cons: It says its max rpm is 2000 not a huge con but maxed out with the fan controller I'm only able to get 1350-1385rpm and thats way more then a +/- 10% difference. Either way not really a con at all because it cools extremely efficiently and is dead quiet in silent mode.
Other Thoughts: I think I bought the last one in stock =P, first review posted...ever

Worthy upgrade
Pros: Much quieter than stock cooler. Vastly improved cooling capacity over stock. With a mild overclock you can leave the fanspeed at it's minimum, but if you're trying to push your dual core to the max this fan/cooler has got you covered.
Cons: Not sufficient for aggressive quad core overclocks, but it wasn't designed to be.
Other Thoughts: I have used quite a few of these in recent builds and all run flawlessly. Huge improvement over stock. Sure, you can save $10-15 and go with a generic cooler, but zalman quality is proven and worth the few extra dollars.

Other Thoughts: If it will fit buy it.

ehh....
Pros: SILENT when used properly, cool look, comes with pieces for various boards and even a little tiny bit of thermal grease
Cons: ya people arent kidding when they say this thing is absolutely MONSTROUS.... employed by the goverment to stop Germany in WW2.... powerful but will not work with lower grade systems... even though its compatible with the 939 amd sockets, this is made for intel PC's installation was HORRIBLE, far from easy... given im not great with thermal paste but regardless... not fun to deal with, DEFINITLY not easy installation
Other Thoughts: ordered it for my AM2 motherboard.... silly me didnt fit, luckily i was building an old hp for a friend and needed the heatsink so i gave the old pc the new heatsink... pretty upsetting... but it works although i cannot use the fans power controller because the 300watt power supply on the older PC is not strong enough to divert power through cords so the power has to be hooked directly from heatsink to motherboard... i dont know if this is my comp or shotty manufacturing. THING IS ENORMOUS PLEASE TAKE WARNING . so big . Heavy as well. still upset i cant run it on my AM2... my 3.3 quad core gets hot as hell

Amazing fan
Pros: This fan really gets the job done. My Intel Pentium D OC'd to 4.26 ghz idles around 29C, and never exceeds 50C under load (Load being Crysis at max settings).
It comes with a manual speed adjuster, but you dont really need it. Just plug it into mobo and its fine.
Cons: Very big and heavy. It requires a back mounting bracket on the bottom of the mobo, as well as a top mounter, and several screws.
This isnt really a big deal considering it really needs the mounts to work. Boy does it work. It might be a small pain to install but its WORTH IT.

Great CPU cooler; big
Pros: This thing works great. Cools well and is nearly silent on high. It comes with a analog speed control knob which you can use double-sided tape (included) and put on the outside of your case. You don't have to, but you can. I did and it is truly silent on low or mid. If you concentrate, you can hear it on high, but barely.
Cons: It is big. I had to bend a few of the spokes just a tad against the PSU to get it to fit. But since it did fit, I'm not complaining.
Other Thoughts: I have an intake fan in the front, a output fan in the rear and of course one hooked up to the power supply, and this one. My PC is very quiet even with 4 fans.
This was my first build from "scratch", and I couldn't be happier.

Still running strong.
Pros: Amazing cooling power, VERY quiet even at Max RPM.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I've owned my Zalman "Bowl" Fan for 4-5 years now and it's still running very well. The bearing are starting to wear as at max setting on the variable dial is about 1755 RPM, but it still keep the CPU cool. But it is STILL very quiet.
Be wary of the fins when installing/removing from your mobo as they do tend to bend easily, but the will bend right back with no hassle.

Good Fan
Pros: This is a very good fan.
Cons: When I install it into my Full tower case. The Fan is a little too big. It touch the top. So I have to bend the fan.
Other Thoughts: if you have a mid tower case, you should choice another fan.

Fits onto AM2 with adapter
Pros: Great cooler. Adjustable speed.
Cons: Huge, not compatible with many motherboards due to fins possibly blocking memory/ Video card install
Other Thoughts: I used a Thermalright Adapter Rev. B to add this to my AM2. Improved my overclocking headroom

Get this cooler...
Pros: Lower profile then alot of upright coolers. With this cooler, my processor never ran above 32C... With the large diameter, it helps cool all the chips, caps and such around the processor as well. 3 Years I have run this cooler in 3 different machines and the only reason I had to buy a replacement was some meatheaded guy dropped a 120mm case fax into the spinning fan blade.
Cons: In smaller cases, the large diameter of the cooling fins touch the power supply and can touch whatever heatsinks might be on the chips near the processor. Not really a con, I have had this fan in 5 different cases and always was able to get in installed.
Other Thoughts: Cooling cooling solution for 35 bucks!

Pros: Great air circulation.
Cons: The design for installation in a 775 socket is annoying. It comes with a cross bracket that acts as a see-saw to hold the fan tight to the CPU. You have to be kinda physical with it. Have installed other fans that install alot easier and are just as efficient.

Pros: I love this thing. With my case open, the sound level varies from "can't tell the computer is on" to "very quiet".
Cons: Does require some manual effort to install it. Not too bad with persistence.
Other Thoughts: It's huge. Using with: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L, Core 2 Duo.

Great performance for the $$
Pros: Awesome performance and great fitting. It is large so you should make sure this will clear components on your MB prior to ordering it! Quiet even on max fan speed, with case covers installed i cannot hear it run (case is ANTEC p120). Great performance for the money
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Using these on my ASUS P5 motherboard and my new Gigabyte E GA-X48T-DQ6 motherboard. You do need to remove the "crazycool" heatsink from the back of the board as the Zalman 7700 screws are not long enough. Once the crazycool HS is removed, installation is a breeze. Dont knock this HS down because it wont fit your MB. Its not Zalmans fault.

Exdellent Cooling
Pros: Excellent Cooling - variable speed control that mounts outside of case was an nice unexpected bonus. Pretty cheap in price but very well made.
Cons: Looses its stealthy quality's at 75% to full power - but that is to be expected.
Other Thoughts: excellent CPU fan, have long used and liked their video card coolers, the CPU coolers do not disappoint. Cools a Intel Pentium D 930 Presler 3.0GHz LGA 775 95W Dual-Core Processor to just a hair above case temperature even at the slowest setting (case temp +5 F at slowest speed, matches case temperature at fastest speed and that is best you can expect with fan cooling). I am extremely pleased and impressed and I only used the included heat paste. READ THE DIRECTIONS WHEN INSTALLING and you will be happy too. Yes I am now a Zalman "Fan" boy

Zalman is a great buy...
Pros: Awesome cooling unit, quite and keeps my CPU cool...easy installation, well made everything!
Cons: It's larger but if you read the specs than you already know that...no other cons.
Other Thoughts: Best bang for the buck out there...an absolute beautiful beast on your mobo...extremely happy with my purchase!

Very Nice
Pros: Very very nice. Fairly easy to install. Using this, I clocked a pentium 4 I just bought for an older computer from 3.0 to 3.6. It was perfectly stable and ran at a very nice temp for that much of an OC. Tested it by playing Supreme commander (Extremely CPU intensive) at that speed, and the fan kept it cooler than the previous fan did for the previous CPU, which was not OC'd.
Very Large, tons of tiny fins. Cools more by volume of airflow than speed, which still works very well, and keeps the noise way down, I can barely even hear that computer now. It even dropped my ablient case temp by about 5 degrees due to the massive amount of moving air.
Cons: The Fins are very flimsy. Be very careful installing it. I bent a few of em, but they bend back reletively easy. May be hard to fit. Mine is VERY close to the PSU.
Other Thoughts: When installing it, make sure the piece that runs through the heatsink that the mounting brackets attatch to didn't fall out of it's spot. Mind slid into a different spot and it took me about an hour to figure it out, the whole time I was very angry because the screws wouldn't reach the mount.

So-So
Pros: Easier to install than what I heard. Quiet fan, can't tell if it's on or off. (unless you look)
Cons: Not high end!
Other Thoughts: I encoded 5 minutes of video using Xillisoft DVD to Mpeg converter. (high processor demands) Then I attempted to play it back and encode another just to see if the processor would keep up (AMD 4200 X2 64 939 socket) and the cpu began to overheat. I was pretty disappointed. Other than that situation, the cpu stays cool during other operations. (palying music, pictures, surfing the net, playing movies, running a dual screen with the aid of a 7600GT video card. I have not tried games.

Nice
Pros: Great design air draws right out through my exhaust not like the others that throw it around. Control, good idea but i already have my own. Keeps cpu at a low temp
Cons: very big and i had to remove the power supply to install it. also the hardware they include were HORRIBLE i ended up mixing and matching the entire set.
Other Thoughts: other than the hardware it is a great fan and excellent design

Reliable
Pros: Reliable. It's been running for over a year and a half, and it still cools well.
Cons: Cools well, but not extraordinarily well.
Other Thoughts: Clean it every once in a while, because of course dust builds up, and it should last.

Nightmare installation
Pros: Its very big, but small enough to fit on a Gigabyte GA-P35-D3SL (but read cons), looks like it cools well.
Cons: Complete nightmare to install. The plastic adapter I got was warped (it was like a stool with a short leg). The screws would not hold on my MB, they slipped right out of the holes and would not tighten. Is it possible that it was my MB's fault? Sure, but I love my mobo so I'm blaming it on this.
Other Thoughts: Stock HSF worked fine, keeps cpu at 30-35 degrees idle.

Works great
Pros: This HSF works very well for the moderate Oc'er and cool temp seeker. Obviously not as good as a 9700, but if you dont want one of those air plane engines over yourCPU, this is the next best thing. At the price I got it for anyways. The install was easy. The fan controller sorta blows but you can use it if you want. I'm using software. It is also very very quiet,
Cons: Could be stronger, more CMs, but other than that, cant think of too much for what it is.
Other Thoughts: This thing is pretty wide, so it looks great in a window case. Be nice if it had a LED, but hey, sometimes you gotta give up to get.

A Beast...
Pros: Cools Great, Very Quiet, Looks great in an open case. Even though solid copper is superior, the two tone is beautiful.
Cons: HUGE - Not really a bad thing unless you have a small case or capacitors close to your socket.
Mounting can be tricky in tight spaces.
Other Thoughts: Even with a full ATX MB, I'm suprised I managed to fit it in. The mounting is fairly simple, but can still be tricky in tight spaces. Engineering on Zalman's part is nothing to ignore here - even as large as it is, the curved design clears the capicators and DIMMs. Very quiet. Even under full load, it produces less noise then the PSU.

BIG..... REALLY BIG....
Pros: THis definately does the job, but I must say, those who say "don't underestimate this size/ the pic doesn't do it justice/this thing is huge" THEY ARE NOT KIDDING! lol, this thing was like pulling a brick out of the box when it got here (super fast as usual)
Cons: None, it makes things cool, it looks cool.
Other Thoughts: I actually had to bend the top fins to get them to fit in where my PSU was. Just a litle tweaking.

Warninin
Pros: Don't know
Cons: Don't know either
Other Thoughts: Does not fit Asus P4P800 Motherboards! I didn't even try to fit it. Didn't think it would be so big. I give it a 3 because if it would have fit it probably would have worked good.

Big and Quiet
Pros: As with my previous Zalman cooler, this one does its job excellently. In my current rigs, one of my primary concerns is noise level. This one is _very_ quiet. It fits nicely in my CoolerMaster Centurion 532 case with MSI G33M motherboard.
Cons: One of my computers is a rack-mount. This cooler will not fit without removing several fins. I used a different cooler there, which turned out to be noticeably louder than the Zalman. The fan speed controller is a stick-on(!) instead of expansion slot-mounted.
Other Thoughts: If it fits, it's a bargain and quiet. Excellent product.

Large In Size And Value
Pros: For the size of the cooler, the weight is quite acceptable. At full speed, the fan is barely noticeable. Installation is fairly easy without too many of the "is this too much force?" moments that can happen with other heatsinks. Cooling performance is quite good.
Cons: When using the FanMate controller, the maximum speed of the fan is not as high as when directly connected to the motherboard header. Given the very low noise level, most people would do fine to connect it to the MB and run it at full speed.
Other Thoughts: Many have said it before, but the size of this device is not to be underestimated. It is about 6 inches across. Motherboard compatibility is no guarantee, but it does work with the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P (it JUST clears the chipset heatsink).

works great!
Pros: A month ago I bought this cooler as my first "non-stock" cooler to test if after market coolers were worth it, YES!, my CPU is running nearly 8 C lower compared to my other two Cases(nearly same CPUs) that are all sitting in same room. with this cooler i'm running at 36-38C idle, other two cases with stock coolers are running at 46-ish C
Cons: It is have a 120mm fan in the middle...think about that and how much room you have in your case, i use full towers so it isnt a con for me, but pic on website can lead one to believe its a smaller cooler..IT NOT.
Other Thoughts: next payday i'm buying Zalman coolers for other two computers, i'm in air cooling heaven compared to stock heatsinks
I have 939 sockets, and this was my first after market cooler, i didnt instal it tight enough which resulted in my cpu shutting down due to over temps 3 times in a row till i figured out heatsink wasnt getting good contact. this is mostly a noob mistake but make sure its on tight(thought i was going to break something when i got it right)

Average Cooling Fan
Pros: It fits game rig: Generic case; Asus P5N-E SLI with C2D e6400; Ultra X-finity 600W power supply. It does cool a tiny bit better than my stock Intel cpu fans +/- 5 degrees.
Cons: Does not support all motherboard/case setup. You need to check zalman.com for mobo compatibility. I did check, but my mobo was not listed. I had push at least two heat sink leafs against the my power supply to install this cooling fan.
Other Thoughts: I found a gamer in another forum that had the same mobo and CNPS7700-ALCU setup, so I made a leap of faith and it worked out. The next best cooling fan was Zalman 8000/9700, but I know it would not fit my case or mobo. People got better cooling with these, but just remember its all relative to your environment and where your system is situated.

I fully agree with the reviewer below me.
Pros: Good cooling. Keeps e6600@3000mhz 32c idle, and 49c max load. Fan controller. Works with lga775. Price.
Cons: Really, really big. 120mm big. Didn't quite realize how big that was, It was hitting my power supply, So I actually had to cut 4 blades off, The fan is about 1-2mm from hitting the psu at all times. Fan controller gets hot if I leave the fan on a low setting for too long, Kinda weird something so simple could be so temperamental.
Other Thoughts: For the price, (40 George Washington's) this is a great deal. Price went down right after ordering it. Happened with every component in my newest build :(

Not that quiet at all
Pros: Lighter than the all copper version while maintaining excellent cooling performance. Comes with a fan speed controller, which is really nice. Base comes already fairly flat, though some of you might want to lap it anyway.
Cons: Large. Make sure it'll fit in your case. Shouldn't be advertised as a quiet cooling solution, because that fan is a jet engine. Crank it down with the fan controller!
Other Thoughts: Comes with thermal paste, but I bought some Arctic Silver 5 instead. Can be made quieter through a fan swap or fanless and ducting.

Pros: This is a cool looking setup. Did not realize the size of it. Anyone buying this, keep in mind it is big, I mean big. I have not tried in my case yet but looks like might be a problem.
Cons: This is a monster of a size. Never seen one this big. WOW! Everyone keep this in mind.

Cons: Nothing.

Great Value
Pros: It does a great job cooling my CPU. Drop temps about 20% across the board.
Cons: Like everyone says it is large.
Other Thoughts: If you do you homework on items before you purchase them you shouldn't have any problems (in theory). Check Zalman's website and find out whether this will fit your mobo. If you have a mid size case and it fits your mobo you shouldn't have any problems making this giant fit.

Large but it FIT!!!!
Pros: This is a very large fan, so measure before you buy. In my cooler master case this thing fit like a glove on an MSI Mobo. "A very tight latex glove" Again LARGE FAN. Very quite..Speed control switch works perfect on Mobo BIOS setup. Very Happy
Cons: So far none.
Other Thoughts: Wish all fans were made equal. One of my case fans is making alot of noise. Going to take it out and check whats going on.

It's Big
Pros: It cools, does what it says
Cons: Non
Other Thoughts: It's big. I had done a fast "yes it should fit" and it does. But I'm going to cut a bit of the case to make it fit better.

Huge, but worth it
Pros: I have an Intel Pentium 4 Prescott socket 478 overclocked from 3.0 G to 3.54 G. CPU still runs at 41 C. Unbelievable. It also keeps the mobo cool.
Cons: This is huge, but I still fit it onto a micro ASRock P4VM890 in a In-Winn mini tower. It just touches the power supply
Other Thoughts: I got lucky that it fit. Do measure first.

Tight Fit But Sweet Fan
Pros: have it in a ARK 6099-CA Black Steel ATX Mid Tower case with a P4M800pr v2 board on my 775 Pentium D. it was a tight squeeze, heat sink fins were gentting into my lower power supply fan, but i just clipped a few of em and it fit fine.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: works great with the ZALMAN ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller Panel!

It's so big!
Pros: It deserves better than a 2 rating, but they don't have a rating for 'doesn't fit.' I'm sure it's great, that's why I bought it.
Cons: There are no "cons," really. It is too big for my mobo. I only have about 55mm from the center of my CPU to the AGP card, and this needs around 70mm.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you measure your available space carefully before ordering this CPU cooler. Don't make the same mistake I did. It probably would have worked fanless in my system, since I don't overclock my CPU.

Very Quite
Pros: Very quiet, easy to install, 4 pin mobo controlled is very nice. comps runs at 38-40 C at 900 rpm on avg, im not a gamer
Cons: none, the Led's is kind weird
Other Thoughts: AMD x2 5200+

Pros: This is the best Cooler on the market for the sockets offered. Variable Fan is nice but with efficient grease on CPU you shouldn't need to crank it. Ultra quiet and usually Quiet is lost when you want cooling power not the case with this product.
Cons: It does have a rather large package size but will fit quite comfortably in Antec Mineut and other slim line cases.

Pros: this is a great CPU fan. i have had this same fan with the same CPU for over a year now and both run fantastic, and now the price has dropped! Man, great deal for a great product!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: some reviews say that it is bulky and some couldn't fit in their case. ALWAYS... ALWAYS always always do your looking before buying. would you get a socket 939 for an AM2? i dont think so. you should look at every spec you can find to see if it is right for you. this product is bulky but i had no problem installing it and i still have much room in my case, i just need zip ties.. hahah

Dropped Temp 30C
Pros: Old Thermaltake fan ran CPU at 88C. Paired this fan with Arctic Silver 5 and temperatures show up at 52C. Arctic Silver 5 hasn't even had time to set in yet! I really can't understand how it made that much difference, but it has. Can barely hear the fan compared to my old one.
Cons: Abit IC7-MAX3 OTES fan system was in the way, took it off in order to get the Zalman installed. Could easily put back on motherboard, but would require taking out PSU and a case fan. I'm content as is.
Other Thoughts: Also replaced Northbridge fan, might have effect on overall temperature differences.

Great Fan
Pros: This thing does a great job. Keeps temps down at about 37 deg. at idle and 44 under load. Works better than I had hoped.
Cons: A little loud at top speed, but not too bad.
Other Thoughts: It is huge, so be sure it will fit.

Very Very Large
Pros: Quite, Very Quite. Great Value
Cons: Very, Very Large. I did not realize how large and the product would not fix in the computer I intended it for, or any other computer I had.
Other Thoughts: Download the manual first and make sure you have enough clearance prior to purchasing.

WOW... Performs like or EQUAL to the 7700Cu 120mm!!!
Pros: Ok, I was a little bit uncertain about which CPU cooler I was going to get. I bought an E6400 C2D cpu with the intention of OC'ing on my DS3 mobo. The stock HSF did not cut it one bit. IDLE temps were 48c-50c w/ the stock HSF. When I OC'd a little (2.6ghz) it went up to 52C at IDLE and somewhere between 56-60c on load. So I decided to buy a Zalman CPU HSF, as Ive heard and read they are one of the best in the business. So I cut down my picks between the 7700AlCu or the 7700Cu, both with 120mm just that one was all copper and the other was copper with aluminum. So I wasn't sure how much better the all copper one would be. But the price swayed me towards the 7700AlCu since it was about $5-7 cheaper and I didnt want to spend a lot of money on a HSF when. I also got some ARCTIC COOLING MX-1 Thermal Compound, even though most people get the Artic Silver 5. With my new HSF, non-oc: 36-38c idle, 40-42c load. OC'd at 2.8ghz: 39-41 idle, 44-47c at load. What more can I say.
Cons: The only thing that was a con for me, was the the 2 little screws used for Socket 775 that are placed on the S-type holders and you screw into the bracket were a bit short. I was fortunate enough to have some small screws from my prior mobo boxes that I was able to use to screw them down and tighten the HSF to my cpu to make contact. If it werent for these screws, I probably would have RMA'd it. Those screws were life savers, I would have payed more money just to ship the HSF back to newegg...
Other Thoughts: Overall, I saw a 8-12c drop in temps from stock intel hsf to this zalman 7700AlCu. That was what I was looking for, a considerably cooler cpu. Considering I saved a couple of extra bucks and also got myself Artic Silver 5 for the next time I re-apply paste, instead of getting the all copper version was very satisfying. No regrets whatsover. Great HSF, and also helps cool my NB heatsink on my DS3 mobo, which those who have this mobo know it gets hot when you OC.

Fan for lower processors ONLY
Pros: It works and it comes with fan speed controller
Cons: It keeps my AMD 64 3000+ nice and cool at 63 C so I am not too happy with this product.
Other Thoughts: Great fan for lower processors.

Trust me It is HUGE.
Pros: I went from an AMD stock HSF running at 39-41C stock to load of 50C and I got this zalman and it dropped to 25C and running at 40 Load maybe? It is a huge difference and I would recommend it ONLY if you have enough space in your case.
Cons: I was really confused by how to bracket this thing down to the motherboard, and at first the screws they give you seem to not work with it, after a little thinking about the problem I was able to fasten it. The second big problem with it is just its pure size, it has to be at least 120mm across right in the middle of your MB, please dont make it hard on yourself and just attach your power connectors and any other cables you have before you install this monster.
Other Thoughts: Aside from the monstrosity of this Heatsink/fan it is amazing, looks really cool too, It is too bad they couldn't disperse more of the size vertically or horizontally but its very good overall.

This fan is huge - Be Wary
Pros: It looks cool...pretty silent fan...definite immediate drop in load temps...interested to see what it's at once the Silver5 sets...
Cons: It is HUGE, which I know has been previously stated, I have an Antec Sonata II case and a MSI 661MF2 Motherboard and this thing BARELY fits, I mean its such a tight squeeze some of the fins are bent right on the power supply, which I know isn't good, but there's nothing I can do about it. It totally keeps the machine cooler under load (48-49C compared to 58-60C - Prescott 3.0E CPU) using Arctic Silver 5...but haven't really noticed an idle drop (around 39-41C).
Other Thoughts: I would just be very wary of purchasing this if your motherboards socket is in the same location as mine...plus I just realized I'm gonna have to take it out again to put in another power supply I just recently ordered, which I do NOT look forward to...

What Can I say?
Pros: This would be my 3rd fan. Currently cooling a prescott and a dual core. #3 will be going onto a E6700. For air cooling this is the BEST value. There arent many other fans/ Air cooled solutions that will do better at this price or more. As with the gist of all the reviews here, Make sure your case will house this and the mobo has no heatsinks/ populated ram slots that will impede installation.
Cons: Nada Zilch Zip. Got a Small case? Got a Shuttle? This aint for you.....
Other Thoughts: Dont skimp on the mounting screws/posts you'll need to use all mounting screws for you mobo(for you lazy builders out there like me). Or expect flex ....

the pictures aren't big enough!
Pros: It's huge, and it revolves slow. Slow revolutions = quiet, less voltage. I haven't done a temp reading of how my CPU's doing. But im sure its much much lower than stock. BTW, im running a 2.13 core 2 duo
Cons: Way too big for mini-cases, and probably some mid-tower users will have issues making it fit. Fins look easy to blend.
Other Thoughts: Zalman says that this product is 136mm wide. A CD is about 120mm wide. If you cannot find space on your board to fit a CD ontop of your CPU with a little space to spare, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Brilliant CPU fan
Pros: The fan keeps my cpu temperature at 104F, and my MB temp is 89F. Great produce, outstanding performance. My MB is ASUS P5B deluxe. Using Core 2 Duo E6600.
Cons: N/A
Other Thoughts: Although kinda hard to manage to fit it in a mid-tower chassis, this product is still great

Ahh quiet!
Pros: Quiet, well made, looks good, cools better then factory.
Cons: BIG, everyone says it's big but until you see it, it's big. I have a big case, full size MB, tons of room.. and it barly fit. Measure before you buy!
Other Thoughts: Pre-installation temps ranged from 30C under zero load to 58C under full load with intel cooling. With this installed it's 27C - 47C, and it's half or less then half as loud. I have it running about half speed to get these temps... I didn't notice any difference under full speed but I'm not overclocked.

Fits...with modification
Pros: Cools Core 2 Duo E6400 to 84 F. Cools north-bridge and RAM. Did not block RAM slots.
Cons: Did not fit GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 stock. It's a mini-ATX board and the heatsink butted up into the PSU.
Other Thoughts: Works great after about 10 minutes of "warranty voiding."

Fits to abit nf3-v2 754
Pros: Looks sexy. Cools CPU and entire mother board. It is lighter than it appear on picture. Fits to my abit nf8-v2 754 board.
Cons: You must be careful before buying this. Look up the list of reviews here, and see if the MB you plan to buy can host this monster. This thing holds 120ms fan srrounded by Copper racks, so anything extraordinarily close to CPU rack may be a problem when installing this cooler.
Other Thoughts: Wow, this review thing is addictive !

Pros: Great fan, my temps at idle are 32 to 34C and at load are 37 to 40C
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: To get those temps I put the fan on another plug besides the CPU mobo plug and I just keep the dial all the way up all the time, the noise at max speed does not seem loud or bother me. I have even OC'ed about 150mhz, the temps that I have reported are with the OC.

Good, but can't use it yet.
Pros: Cheap, good cooling performance (I guess, see below).
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I can't use it yet because my mobo (Foxconn 748K7AA-ERS) doesn't support mounting holes around CPU socket. That was my bad for buying the HSF for an unsupported mobo. Oh well, you live you learn.

Fit my D975XBX/Pent. D
Pros: Lowered my temps from ~70c ro ~55c when idle, that was in my apartment in the heat of summer with no A/C. Ambient temps were ~32c in my apartment when these observations were made. Zalman's heatsink was also flatter than the stock one that came with the Pentium D.
Cons: I would prefer no LED but the blue is okay.
Other Thoughts: I purchased mine elsewhere but this thing is a good deal. It clears RAM and everything on my D975XBX.

very good fan
Pros: cool my hot p4 prescott to 47c from 75-80c... i will upgrade to liquid coolingdown the raod
Cons: so darn big take me 30-45 m in to intsall and route another cable around thefan
Other Thoughts: it is more better of you get 90 mm or 120 m m case fan that equal to 80 CFM so you can get all same level of cfm to max your cfm level

Pleasant Surprise
Pros: Installed on my Athlon 4000 that I took the heatspreader off of. Small base makes it perfect for that. No adjustments. Just mount and go. I idle at 32c while overclocked to 2.93ghz up from 2.4ghz stock. Waiting for Arctic silver to condition to see even better temps. Idled at 36c before removing the ihs with a Coolermaster Hyper6. Much quieter solution. My fan on my 7800gt is louder.
Cons: It's size may be prohibitive in some cases or on some boards. Fits fine on my Epox 9npa+ sli.
Other Thoughts: In my opinion it is a must for people removing their heatspreaders on their A64s. No modifications required for me. Cool and quiet.

nice
Pros: does well to cool my CPU. fan is very quiet when set to silent mode, and cools just as well as if it were on the fastest (therefore i leave it on silent to keep it quiet)
Cons: i dont get the same results other people do, saying they can get their temps down to 31C. with speedfan mine is always around 36, and can go up to 52C when im gaming. other than that, for regular use it'll never go past 42C'ish. the long cord that they give you connected to the control for the fanspeed is kinda annoying, and ugly to put outside (so i stuck it inside)
Other Thoughts: humungous fan/heatsink, over half the size of my motherboard.

Drop the stock fan!
Pros: on an Asus barebone LGA775, a single core Intel 3.06 runs between 140 and 180 degrees using Arctic Silver and bolting the stock fan down (hate those clips!). Install this fan (only thing that changed) and temps are now 90 degrees idle, 110 degrees Doom3. Wow!
Cons: Absolutely nothing! Zalman has a great product here!
Other Thoughts: My brain hurts....

THE CPU FAN!!
Pros: Next to water cooling I think this fan is the best thing happening my fan keeps the temps down at idle the CPU temp is 31c at load 38c and has only went to 39c once( when the weather here was 113f and there was no such thing as some cool air to circulate.
Cons: You have to take the MOBO out to install the fan.
Other Thoughts: I did not hook up my CPU fan to the CPU fan plug in instead I connected it to one of the other fan plug in's. I did this to keep my fan running continuosly at full blast( you can adjust the speed ) if you connect it to the cpu fan you will either have to go into the Bios to the bios to adjust it or you will have to live with higher temp reads as the fan will cut off when the chip reaches a certain temp.

Pros: my first build and i had no problem with this
used for an Athlon 3400+
idle its at 34 C and havnt seen it go ne higher then 41 C
Cons: a little difficult to screw bolts in. took a bit of force. thought i had broke CPU. other then that nothing
Other Thoughts: highly recomended even to ppl who hav never built before.

HUGE FAN
Pros: It sure looks like it can displace a lot of heat with this thing, its bigger than my fist so make sure u have atleast like a good 4 or 5 inches of clearance around it.
Cons: Pretty big, instructions didn't look to hard to put together, hardest thing i did was taking off the stock fan.
Other Thoughts: I haven't installed this thing yet because my mobo was old and I didn't realize that you need a fairly recent one so I went out and bought a new one and waiting for my assembly skills. THIS THING IS HUGE, that is all

Pros: Very low noise, excellent heat dissepittion.
Cons: It is the size of a CD and a bit of a pain to mount since you have to put a bracket on the back of the motherboard.

Cons: None that I can see
Other Thoughts: I put it on a P4 S478 Prescott. it cools nicely dropped i'd temperature by 10degrees C over the TR2-M12 Full load barely streches 48-50C now. Note 2.8A at 4.0

Highly recommended
Pros: Athlon XP-2600 CPU temps lowered from 55C to 36C at full-load with the fan on low, completely silent, relatively easy to install.
Cons: For a heat sink, it's quite heavy. Time will tell whether the motherboard can cope with the weight.

Pros: Great cooling power for the price compared to other coolers.
Cons: Difficult Installation, but that comes as no surprise on a quality cooler.

EXACTLY what I needed!
Pros: This thing brought my CPU temp down to about a 35C-40C with average applications running. Before it was 55C-65C with a Artic Cooler Freezer Pro 7. The fan speed control is like a dream come true! If I need to get some sleep, just turn it all the way down, you can't even hear the thing! And if i am doing heavy duty computer work turn it all the way up, and you can still barly hear this thing!
Cons: This baby makes my motherboard look tiny! This cpu cooler is f'n HUGE! It barly fit over my chipset, but it did. It was a tight and well worth sqeeze. The set up was a little annoying, because it requires you to take out your motherboard to fit the panel in the back. But hey, for that little work it's well worth it.
Other Thoughts: I took out a pci slot protecter and now I have the fan control on the outside of my case =). The airflow is beautiful!

Very cool and quiet
Pros: Although massive, it fits in my case, and runs very quietly. Using the AMD Drivers, the fan run at 800 RPM usually, and keeps CPU at 40C.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Other Items: Antec Performance I P180 ASUS A8N-SLI Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+

this thing rocks
Pros: this thing did exactly what i wanted it to do.... this is very quiet even without the fan controller, i have it plugged into the motherboard at 2000+ rpm.. fits well in my antec case with my intel 915gag motherboard... did i say how huge this is... so far my temps are the same as my stock intel cooler (just doesnt sound like a jet engine).. waiting for the artic silver 5 to set up, hopefully a few degrees cooler
Cons: none yet

Love This Fan..
Pros: This fan does its job. I have a x2 3800+ AMD Processor. It runs 2.0ghz from the factory, but after installing some good ram and THIS fan, I have it OC'ed to 2.55ghz. My CPU temps stay low and I couldn't be happier. It is a large fan. I have the Mushkin XP4000 Ram installed on my DFI SLi Mobo and the fins of the fan makes contact with the heat spreaders on my ram. It still fits nice and snug but for some, make sure your ram doesn't have HUGE heat speaders that might prevent this fan from seating properly against the processor.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: AMD 3800+ x2 Dual Core @ 2.55 ghz @ 1.425 volts Mushkin eXtreme Performance 2gb (2 x 1GB) (PC 4000 RAM / 3-4-3-8 @ 255mhz @ 1T) Zalman Ultra Quiet CNPS7700-AlCu 120mm CPU Cooler AeroCool Gatewatch Temperature Monitor Coolmax 650w SLi Certified Power Supply DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLi Mobo (2) eVGA 7800GTX SLi 256mb @ 490/1350 (Custom SLi GPU Cooling w/ 4 Antec 80mm LED Fans) Maxtor 200gb Hard drive 16mb cache Thermaltake Shark Case Hyundai 19" LCD L90D+ Monitor

Not bad at all
Pros: Quiet fan considering its size, moves a lot of air, and looks pretty friggin cool
Cons: its friggin huge and hard to install in a cramped mid tower
Other Thoughts: Definately recomended, well worth the money

Great fan!
Pros: This fan keeps my new Intel 820 at around 40C, with my Antec Sonata II Case.
Cons: Big..no.. HUGE fan. I had to take the chipfan off of my motherboard. Luckily, I had a low profile chipfan to replace it.
Other Thoughts: Hope it works in my LC10B-M Media Case.

Quiet Quiet Quiet Fan
Pros: Really quiet fan in @ a very resonable price. Mounting bracket fit most CPU/mobo combination.
Cons: It has a big heatsink check and make sure you have enough space.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you have all the cpu/chipset/case fan power plug in place before you put on the heatsink. It would cover most part of the mobo after you installed the heatsink.
And watch out don't blend the fins when u install it.
What would happen if we put together a high power/cfm fan....

Great product
Pros: Excellent workmanship Speed control (manual)
Cons: Lack of 4 pin PWM connector
Other Thoughts: Bought as cooler for P4D 920 -- it works well in that capacity but it would nice if instead of using manual speed adjustment a 4 pin PWM connector came with it.

Great CPU Cooler
Pros: Keeps my AMD X2 4400+ proc under 35 constantly. Idles at 28 and does this in a HTPC case with little space.
Cons: Carefull which motherboard you try to put it into.. its very big.
Other Thoughts: This think is HUGE! A CD or DVD will fit inside the heatspreader fins. I didnt try to use the stock heatsink that came with the AMD processor but I cant imagine any CPU cooler doing a better job than this one. Its perfect for an HTPC setup where you need silent operation and good cooling for all the components. Installation wasnt that hard for me because I also purchased a new motherboard (Abit kn8 ultra). You have to work on the back of the motherboard to install this.

Not Bad
Pros: This beast is bullet-proof. And doesn't skip a beat. Keeps things realitively cool.
Cons: Not as quite or as cool as I expected. With a slight adjustment on the fan-mate it quites down a bit, but the cooling isn't spectacular to begin with. This is the loudest thing in my case.
Other Thoughts: I have overclocked my Athlon x2 4200 to 2.5ghz from 2.2ghz with complete stability. However, it usually runs in the mid to high 50's under full load (large ftp Prime95 + ATITool 3Dview).

Big, but quite effective!
Pros: Cools like nobody's business. It keeps my AMD 3700+ mounted in an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium below 36C under load. Quiet as can be!!!
Cons: Big and heavy. May cause issues if you move your PC around quite a bit. Make sure it fits in your motherboard (zalman site give dimensions required for clearance).
Other Thoughts: 120mm fan on this beast spins so slow it cannot be heard over fan on my 7800GT. Combined w/ artic silver 5 it cannot be beat!

Praise Zalman!
Pros: It brought my CPU temps from around 45C idle to 28C! After a few hours of gaming I was getting up to around 60C and now it tops out at 42C! It also cooled down the rest of my system as it blows a blanket of air over everything!
Cons: Nope
Other Thoughts: I put this on a Abit AA8 Duramax so I had to do a little "riggin" to the N/B heatsink, but thats not really a con cause I knew what I was getting into with this beast! I was going to buy the all copper version, but i'm glad I saved $12, cause I don't think it could get better then this!

Very nice cooler
Pros: Very quiet, extremely good cooling abilities, keeps the CPU under 20C with the fan turned off.
Cons: It's a bit big, but it didn't interfere with anything on my board (DFI LP NF4 Ultra-D).

Pros: keeps my x2 4400 running nice and cold. usually idles are 32c and 38 under load, with no case fans. nice and quiet, cant hear it over my noisy psu.
Cons: its huge, be carefull with your mobo. fit fine on my dfi ultra d with enough room to slip RAM in and out without blocking it.
Other Thoughts: i used A S5 with it not the TIM that comes with it. also didnt use the fan mate, i simply plugged it into my mobo and let it handle the rpms, nice and quiet when cool (2400rpm) and still quiet when it goes under load (3000rpm).

Excellent CPU Cooler
Pros: Comes with all the parts to install on AMD and Intel compatible slots, and has detailed picture/word instructions. Comes with thermal paste and fits perfectly over the cpu and also cools the vga as well as the ram. The orange/silver color matched perfectly my ABIT KN8 SLi motherboard. Includes a fan controller which was unneeded because my case came with its own. Also looks amazing while on through the side panel.
Cons: Required removal of original motherboard fan setups. Made connection of a power pin nearly impossible to reach.
Other Thoughts: Came with a shiny, neat Zalman sticker that I was unsure where to put, still to be resolved.

tad hot
Pros: Simple solution to stock inadequacy
Cons: Burnin DVD's on a dual pentium heats it up to about 159f and makes your bells go off.

A big quiet CPU fan
Pros: Very nice and efficient cooling fan. No doubt about it. Runs quiet. I got this with DFI SLI Expert Mobo and they works smoothly together.
Cons: haven't found yet.

Dont buy!
Comments: I was building a really good system so I wanted to get really good parts. Well after buying this, it was really lame installing and when it was in, it was so close to my ram that I think it was damage it. (I used the ASUS A8V mobo)....I dont know, I might try to put it in again, but for now i'm just using the stock fan which is pretty sweet (says AMD on it) because my system wouldn't start up because the fans rpms were too low.....looks cool though and I think i will eventually use it. Just think its a waist of xx d o l l a r s.

Good pick for AMD X2 4400+
Comments: This fan is delivering 41-46 deg temps in a small but well ventilated case. It isn't as silent as I'd hoped, but the sound drops off with a slight reduction in fan rpm. I have it about 1450RPM now with no noticible increase in temp.

Expected More - But Affective
Comments: I have been stressed since I built my new system do to high thermal readings on the CPU. I looked at all the reviews and decided I did not want 2lbs of copper hanging off my MB like some of the other folks out there, and went with the 7700 do to great results my friends had with the 7000 and 6000 series. This monster is not near as hard to install as some make it out. It took me just under 30 min to uninstall the Intel OEM and get this one locked down on the MB. I install on my ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe running an Intel 830 3.0Ghz. Temps pre install 57 at idle and 65 full load. Temps post install: 49 at idle and 61 at full load. A reduction by 14% at idle and 6% at full load. A lot of reviews out there are touting 20% at idle and 12% at full load, but unfortunately I was not as lucky. ( I used the Artic Silver 5 as well.) I am now waiting on the new Zalman CNPS9500 to hit newegg. I will order this 1lbs tower style, and see if it delivers the sub 40 degrees at idle I desire. Two items I do not like in the 7700. 1. Tthe fan control that comes with it. 2. Fan touts 2000RPM max, I can only get a max of 1748 RPM.
