Rating + 2 Nice Idea, bad design

Pros: Dropped the temps from my crossfired 3870's from 60/65 under full load to 55 under full load.

Cons: Bad design and cheap. Wires have to be placed in the slates of the AC cooler to keep them from hitting the fan. Even then they still hit the fan. With about 8 months of use on them one of the connecting legs that are suppose to hold onto the copper pipe on the AC cooler broke. Then miraculously the other fan started making noise like the bearing was going. I thought it was the power cable at first. For the money find something that is better designed and more reliable.

Other Thoughts: I love the cooler's I'm just not happy that I blew money on cruddley designed fans. Probably could have just rigged something that would work better. Now I'm just looking for new coolers with fans so I don't have to deal with it.

Rating + 5 Great add-on for a great add-on

Pros: Dropped another 13-17c off the idle and load temps.. (previously 80c/105c idle/load on stock cooler, 45c/60c with accelero s1rev2, now 32/52c) very impressed. The one that I got didn't feel flimsy at all, so don't know if they've changed it based on other reviews.

Cons: Would like to see it plug into the 4pin header directly on the ATI 4850 i have, but alas, the only adapter was to the 4 pin molex.

Other Thoughts: I'd reccomend this to anyone who had one of the inferior ati single-slot coolers.

Rating + 4 Just what I needed!

Pros: Cheap and simple to use. Makes lots of wind!

Cons: Flimsy, almost fragile.

Other Thoughts: I bought the Arctic Cooling ACCELS1 Rev 2 VGA Cooler for a Sapphire HD3750 video card that had a less than useful cooler on it. The ACCELS1 is basically a passive solution and by itself worked fine on keeping the video card cooled.

However, on the Intel motherboard I have, the VGA card cooling fan serves another IMPORTANT purpose, cooling the south-bridge chip on the motherboard!

Adding this fan onto the ACCELS1 not only brought the temperature of the GPU down it cooled the south-bridge down nicely as well and I no longer get flaky operation of this system. I plugged it into an extra fan header that was on the motherboard and am able to control and monitor it as needed.

Rating + 4 Flimsy

Pros: Keeps the Accelero nice and cool.
Cant ask for more!

And its pretty quiet.

Cons: Feels like someone put it together with thread and duct tape.

I have this feeling that if I held onto one fan, and gently pulled the other, this thing would break in two.

Other Thoughts: A MUST HAVE if you bought the accelero!

Rating + 4 Works as advertised! Would buy again!

Pros: Keeps the Accelero super cool. If you have just the Accelero, proper case cooling is a must. Having the side of my case off for any reason would cause temps on my card (8800GT) to rise quickly.
With these fans installed, the card stays cool no matter what. And just like the packaging said, things are cooler (and way quieter) than with the stock cooling the video card originally had.
Installation was simple. The fans locked snuggly into the Accelero grill. I was then able to hook the connector to my motherboard, and can monitor their RPMs (currently running at 1180 RPMs).
Besides keeping the GPU cool, these make the ramsinks included with the Accelero work even better, as there is now a good flow of air going directly against them, possibly allowing the card to be overclocked higher than what the stock cooling allowed.

Cons: Like others mentioned, the wires are just barely soldered to the fans. I was REALLY afraid I was going to break the soldered connection and end up having to find a way to re-attach them. Luckily, it didn't break when I installed them, but what if I try to move them to another card or need to move them for any reason?
I guess I just have to consider the fans disposable (they are cheap enough), as I will probably need to replace them after so many months/years (if the wires break or the fans get noisy).

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have plenty of room around your card. I had to move some wires out of the way as attaching these fans cause my video card to now take up 3 slots.
I had to take a star off because of the way the wires are soldered on. Definitely something they could improve.

Rating + 3 Nice idea, not the best implementation

Pros: Fans are quiet, Cheap.

Cons: Doesn't fit well, often falls off, or the wires get stuck in the fan. I check it every few days, or if I hear the tell-tale buz of the wire hitting the fan.

Other Thoughts: It's weird how the Arctic Cooling fans don't fit the Arctic Cooling heatsink very well. Just a couple of millimeters on the tabs would make it work, too. The heat sink does a good job of spreading the heat out, so my card isn't in any real danger, but I bought the fans for that extra protection and air flow.

Rating + 1 Junk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The two thin caseless fans are linked together with one of the fan's power wires. These wires are very thin themselves and soldered poorly to the fan. If these contacts aren't already broken even before removing the product from the clear plastic packaging (like mine was), I would suspect they would break upon taking the Turbo Module out of the package, or during installation.

I thought about resoldering the contacts, but that wouldn't fix the limited air flow produced from the thin bladed fans. So my Turbo Module is in the kitchen trash can. :-)

Other Thoughts: Arctic Cooling, listening? This product is junk.

I suggest buying a couple 80mm or a large 120mm fan from a quality manufacture if you are looking for additional air flow.

Rating + 1 A good idea

Pros: A great idea for an already good performing passive cooler for a 4870. Fit nicely to the artic cooler rev 2. Easy to install.

Cons: It doesn't work. When the fans spin, they spin at 160 rpm. One if the fans will turn with a little spin by the finger to get it going, and the other, well, pointless. Also, cable is a little short to attach to the fan header, but it was enough for me.

Other Thoughts: I should have left well enough alone, the passive cooler in a P180 case was still keeping my gpu under 60 C. But you can never have enough. Unfortunately, these fans are junk, and I don't say that easily. They don't move any air, even when they do spin.
Also, for those that wish to say it is my fan header, I unplugged a scythe 120 that was turning 1400 rpm to install this, so I would say it is the AC "TURBO" module. I'd hate to see the non-turbo version.

Rating + 2 Good but not durable

Pros: -Quiet
-Reasonably effective given that you have air flow coming towards the card

Cons: -The cables attaching the fans are short. Hard to place them exactly where you want
-The fan connectors tend to get in the way of the fan. You have to slide them through the heatsink's blades to get clearance.
-The connections on each cable to the fan are fragile. The second fan's connectors broke while I didn't even realize it and probably stayed there like that for months
-Finally, the fans themselves are not that reliable. The remaining fan was making ticking sounds without anything touching it.

Other Thoughts: Good but not good enough since almost every piece of the kit is not reliable. Just get a quiet 80-100-120 mm fan and align it so that it blows air directly on the heatsink. Also make sure there's fresh air supply to this fan if you're going to push your card to the limits.

Rating + 5 Great performance

Pros: No noise at all, dropped my 8800gt temperature from 60 degrees idle to 50 in combination with the Accelero S1.

Cons: No cons so far.

Other Thoughts: Arctic Cooling was underestimating the "Recommended" use they put when purchasing an Accelero S1. If you have inadequate tower cooling, these fans are mandatory. If you do have adequate cooling, then probably not necessary. Either way, for such a low price, just but them.

Rating + 5 Great Addition

Pros: Very quiet operation. Pretty easy to install. You just clip them onto the fins of the heatsink and route the power cable between the fins out of the way.

I hooked this up to my Sunbeam fan controller so I have total control. The ACCELS1 cools so well by itself that I usually just turn these babies on when I'm really working the system.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Cheap and easy upgrade!

Rating + 5 Works Fine

Pros: Quiet--can't hear it in my case, and all my other components are quiet. Provides a significant amount of airflow. I didn't find it as flimsy as some others did--you want to be careful with it, but no soldering broke, and it clipped quite securely to my S1R2.

Cons: 3 slots for 1 video card now, but I've got the space.

Other Thoughts: With the S1R2, a good replacement for the insanely loud 1-speed stock cooler on the ASUS TOP 1GB HD 3870. Cooling is about the same as the ASUS stock for the GPU--28C idle, 40C full load, 48C full load OC'ed to 900mhz from 777mhz--and a bit better for the memory (memory stable OC'd to 1251mhz from 1126mhz, couldn't OC it all with ASUS stock).

Rating + 1 Too cheap to RMA

Pros: -quiet
-easy installation
-only needs 1 working fan to significantly reduce temperature of the heatsink

Cons: -only 1 fan worked out of the box
-2nd fan was poorly soddered to 1st fan and broke off very easily - will need to be re-soddered

Other Thoughts: -items like this are too cheap to justify rma - I won't pay 8 dollars to ship this back when I can just buy a new one for the same price
-won't buy anything under 50 dollars from new egg again

Rating + 5 COOOOOOLLL

Pros: Watch out Vanilla Ice! This thing is amazing and cooler than you. Installed on 9600 SSC super clocked edition and never goes over 45c when under load. idle/low activity temp averages around 34c.
Stock cooler would always jump up to high 60's when under load.
My reference point for under load is CoD4.
Also, easy to instal.

Cons: Kinda big, wouldn't recommend if you want to go SLI. But now days, 1 GPU card is sufficient for any normal person.

Other Thoughts: I bought the twin fan pack but the connections on one of the fans broke, so I only have 1 fan blowing directly on the radiator.
Installed in Raidmax Sagita case, Antec 850w psu, and 4 case fans working in various directions.

Rating + 4 Its pretty good

Pros: Its a good product. I bought it in hopes of cooling my HIS HD3850 IceQ 3 more than the stock cooling provided. But it was actually about 10C hotter than the stock cooling with correctly applied Artic Silver Thermal. But I put it on my old Radeon 9800 and it's temp dropped from 45Cidle/70Cload to 32Cidle/50Cload. So its pretty good, but not as good as HIS's graphics card cooling solutions.

Cons: Big, doesn't fit in my case, I have to keep the cover off, but that just gives me better cooling ;D.

Pros: What can I say, other than what was already said, The Turbo Module is great and you should buy it if your getting the ACCELS1 or ACCELS2. My video card was at 192 degrees F, but with the ACCELS1 it brought it down to 150 degrees, than with the turbo Module it came down to 120 Degrees F. 8800GT.

Cons: For the price, none here.

Other Thoughts: Only had this product for a day.

Rating + 3 Quiet, effective, but flawed

Pros: Designed to work with the Accelero gpu coolers, this dual-fan combo would avoid the need for a side panel case fan.

Cons: The wires connecting the two fans are small gauge and fragile. Ground wire broke immediately after I removed the fan set from the packaging. Arctic Cooling needs to improve the wiring between fans.

Other Thoughts: Tried to solder the broken ground wire back and it was fine but then the red wire broke during installation. The fan assembly cannot be unscrewed and it's near impossible to solder the red wire under the plastic mount. Using a single fan now.

Pros: installed with the accelero S1 rev 2 on a 8800 GT. went from 57 C to 44 C idle. it has 4 pin molex adapter, but it natively plugs into standard 3 pin mobo fan header.

Pros: Quiet, performance is great.

Cons: One of my fans did not completely clip through the heatsink. I made some double-sided stick tape "rings" to go between the fans and heatsink to help hold em down. mounting could be better designed.

Other Thoughts: New-Egg rocks as always!

Product does do its job though so I am generally pleased with it.

Rating + 4 Good product with minor flaws

Pros: I use this with an ACCELS1 Rev 2 on a X1800XL, which is fantastic. This module seems to drop the temperature a few degrees further, especially on the voltage regulator. The sound, with the fans running, is inaudible. It is also nice that this module is optional and replaceable.

Cons: The plastic connectors on the fans seem flimsy. As a result, they took quite a bit of work to properly secure to the heatsink. I have seen photos of people securing much larger fans (90mm+) onto the heatsink with zip ties, which seemed much sturdier and provided even better cooling. For the money though, this module is a fair solution.

Other Thoughts: The Antec P180 has a very tight space between the additional cards and the wires going through the case directly below the two fans. Since the fan blades are completely exposed, it became somewhat tricky to rout the power and SATA cables (ASUS P5LD2-Deluxe has an awkward placement for these) so that they did not block the fans, but I believe the problem is unique to the case and motherboard layout.

Rating + 3 CrossFireX

Pros: Looks like it would work well with more room.

Cons: If you are using dual VGA and they are close together there will barely be enough room with just the heatsink. I have a P5E3 deluxe and there wasn't enough room for using these with dual video cards. You need approximately 2.5-3 PCI slots worth of space for the Vid card, Heatsink and fan. Also the fan is not enclosed so loose cables a problem.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to see an accelero with fans actually built in. If you only have one slot between dual video cards this is just a waste of time. It's also a pain to use crossfirex in the first place because of the placement of the heat pipes, though can be forced.

Pros: Easy to install, very light weight and very quiet. Quieter than the stock fans of the gts's running at 25% with the cooling ability of the stock fans running at 80%. Wow.

Cons: none so far. Using two kits for two months and both work fine.

Other Thoughts: Wires tuck up into the fins to clear the fan blades. Fan placment is adjustable so coverage of the passive heat sinks on the ram and voltage regulators is no problem. S1-V2 does not come with volt reg sinks. Get or make some. Fans don't iterfere with SLI bridge snuk through the top cooler fins to reach the upper card.

Rating + 4 Very nice option

Pros: Along with the S1R2 cooler my HD3850 256MB went from 50c idle and 90c+ under load down to 35c idle and have not noticed anything over 45c load yet.

Only guessing based on other reviews but I estimate the fans bumped an extra 5-10c off the idle temp and 10-20c off the load temp over the S1R2 alone.

Cons: Cheap plastic clips + thin aluminum fins of the cooler = worry that the clips will come lose and the fan will fall off. Somewhat frustrating limitation on the orientation of the wiring while being required to stuffing it between the fins of the cooler.

Other Thoughts: I purchased these with the S1R2 cooler and have only used them together. I have a related review of the S1R2 cooler under the same nick.

Rating + 4 Good addon.

Pros: Easy to install. Light weight. Very quiet (so much quieter than the stock fan's insane whining). Honestly, I can't hear it. Helps move heat off the fins, dropping temps even more.

Cons: Just a minor complaint: I would have prefered being able to plug it in to the video card's empty fan plug, rather than having to use a motherboard connection.

Other Thoughts: I think people are confusing "purposefully light" and "cheap/flimsy". It's designed to not add any extra unnecessary weight to an already huge heat-sink.

Rating + 5 Great cooling solution!

Pros: Cheap, effective and easy to install. I can't believe how much these have helped lower my load temps with the Accelero S2...even in a warm environment. My idle temps are now 38ºC~43ºC and loud is 55ºC~58º as opposed to ~45ºC idle and ~64+ºC without these fans. These things are pretty much silent. Highly recommend for those who have the Accelero S1 or S2. Cooling an ATI X850XT OC'ed @ 545Mhz core /1200Mhz mem.

Cons: Sleeve bearings. Feels a little too flimsy even when installed, but they get the job done.

Other Thoughts: Handle with care when installing and make sure you have the wires securely tucked away from the fan blades. I can't believe I waited so long to get these!

Cons: A bit fragile. I had the leads going from the fan that has the power connector on it to the other fan break off. So I had to order another one.

Rating + 4 Ultimate addition to ultimate cooler

Pros: I added this to the massive Accelero S2 video card cooler for extra cooling insurance. Fans are very quiet and work good.

Cons: The installation seemed very "aftermarket-ish". One would expect a cooling fan made for a heatsink, from the same manufacturer, to have a more refined and precise installation. These things use plastic clips going between the fins, and motor wiring is supposed to be stuffed between cooling fins (which restricts airflow to said fins). Even when clipped in place the fans don't seem to fit level with the cooler, they can tilt a bit.

Other Thoughts: They should design a fixed clip-on plastic bracket to install the fans as an assembly, I'd pay a few more dollars no problem. The current fan mounting design seems like an afterthought. Be gentle handing these fans with unprotected blades, fan bearings are fragile and can't take excess pressure or abuse. Keep any extra case wiring well clear. Mine seem to be working fine and are still noise-free 4 months after installation.

Pros: Very quiet, Cheap, It has dropped my temps a few more degrees

Cons: One fan had an uneven clip, wires on one fan was hitting the blades

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a nice set up & great addition to my S1. My total temp drop is around 20 degrees under load. I had to push the wires down to stop some hitting & one of the clips didn't snap on very well. A minute of tweaking & all went well. I had it running in under 5 minutes. I cannot hear any extra noise. It is on a Vantec fan controller with my 120mm exhaust fan, also there are two 80mm intake/exhaust fans (each with a separate speed control). I will not miss the leaf blower OEM cooler which I could hear over the 120mm & 80mms on full blast. Thanks to AC my GPU cooler is as quiet as my CPU cooler, which is an AC Freezer Pro. Thanks newegg, ordered Thursday & got it Monday.

Rating + 5 Super cooling!

Pros: Ordered the dual fan for my Accelero cooler after I purchased a XFX Geforce 8800GT 670mhz edition. My temps dropped from 45 idle to 34 idle and from 57 load to 41(!!!)
Excellent product

Cons: None. Only thing that I dislike a tiny bit is the way the the 2 fans are installed on the heatsink. The fan-cables are 'hanging' and can thus fall right into the actual fan, since the cooler is hanging upside down once in the case. This is easily fixed though with some innovative tape or cable tie.

Rating + 5 Just as expected

Pros: Lowered temperature by 7c. Clips on easily without any hassle. Works as advertised.

Cons: Feels really cheap, but judging by the price.. it is.

Other Thoughts: It feels like the power cable will slip into the fans, but it has stayed put thus far.

Rating + 3 Meh

Pros: Easy install.

Cons: Questionable durability.

Other Thoughts: Only brought temps down about 1-2C, over just installing the S2. Required me to re-wire system guts. I also had to move one of my HDD to an external enclosure, because SATA cables got in the way of the fans. I tend to not think it was worth my purchase. Others may disagree.

Rating + 5 Cooling OC EVGA 8800GT

Pros: Goes on easy just clips on the top no need for straps or rubberbands plug fan prong to molex or the board and voila 8800gt 600/1800/1500 with accelero S1 turbo kit OC to 710cpu/2000ram/1775shader temp idle=38C max=48C running inside the antec sonataIII with a 120mm front fan

Cons: none it works

Other Thoughts: Just an extencion of the accelero S1 I like its running at 100% and barely can hear it. The WD drive or Samsung DVD running are louder than this fan.

Rating + 3 It worked....... kinda

Pros: You basically just stick these fans on top of the Accelero 2. They did bring the overall temperature down even further which was great.

Cons: Only one of the fans would spin on its own. I tried plugging it into the motherboard AND the 4 prong connector, neither worked. In order to get the 2nd fan to spin you have to flick it after you boot up. Pretty lame... not really worth the cost to RMA it.

Other Thoughts: Previous temps were 61C idle / 77C full load, with Accelero 2 with 1 fan from the twin turbo working I'm at 47C idle / 57C full load. Imagine how cool this would run with BOTH fans working. :(

Rating + 5 Get this if u get the s1 or s2

Pros: Really cheap and easy... often a good combo, helps the s1 or s2 work even better. Did I mention cheap? Also it works. If you are going to spend thirty or so on the s1 or s2 this is a real good buy. Oh yea, and it's cheap.

Cons: The fans only clip on to the s1 or s2 and there isn't really any guidance on where they should go, but there fans... I mean seriously who cares.

Other Thoughts: Get this awesome, cheap, and highly effective product if you are getting the s1 or s2.

Rating + 3 Dead

Pros: Looks fine. Installation is easy.

Cons: Dead on arrival. And considering what it costs, it isn't really worth the hassle of returning it.

Other Thoughts: This thing is really not needed. The Accelero does pretty well as a passive cooler.

Rating + 5 icing on the cake

Pros: this is just the icing on the cake. you are already saving a lot by getting the accellero s1, might as well spend a few bucks more to top it off

Cons: lowered temps an additional 8 degrees. not required in a case with good air flow, but it couldnt hurt.

Rating + 5 A must have

Pros: Amazing addition to the Accero S1 for a bargain price. On my MSI Shader OC 8800GT my load temps dropped from 94°C (stock cooler) to 54°C with the Accelero S1+Turbo Module. It also gave me a more stable system I think because it is cooling the voltage regulators on the card, which didn't happen with passive cooling. Extremely easy installation, comes with adapter to plug it into power supply, quiet.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Definitely purchase to cool your voltage regulators if you have an 8800GT and an Accelero S1.

Rating + 5 Great addition to Accelero.

Pros: Easiest install of a fan I have ever done, clip it on and walk away. Added this to my Accelero S1 for my 8800GT and temps are amazing!!! (mid 20's idle and havent hit 40 under load yet)

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: I would almost conisder this a must buy for the accelero cooler unless you are building a completely fanless system. Low cost for big results make this an awesome choice.

Pros: Inexpensive addition to the S1 to improve efficiency. Relatively quiet.

Cons: Adding these to an already monstrously HUGE graphics card + S1 setup = a geek's idea for Punk'd. My X1950 + S1 was approximately 35mm thick, meaning the duo covered up an adjacent pci slot. With the fans in place, the setup covered up TWO pci slots. May be impractical for many apps.

Other Thoughts: Took a little engineering to make everything fit. A nice addition if you have the room.

Pros: Easy to install. Completly silent, had to touch the blades to make sure they were running.

Cons: Power cable could be longer. Had to remove and turn it around to make it to an open header

Other Thoughts: Installed on an S1, Dropped my temps on an 8800GT from 51/78 to 38/46.

Rating + 5 It's cheap and quiet

Pros: Quiet, easy to install. Didn't ever run my S1 w/o these, don't know about the temp difference. My 8800GT Superclocked runs a nice cool 35C idle and 45-50C loaded.

Cons: They should be 120's :)

Other Thoughts: Why not buy these? They are made for the S1, and if you're going to throw down on that, what's another few bucks?

Rating + 5 nice and quiet

Pros: bought along with my s1 and it brought the already very cool temps down another 5-7 degrees C. runs very quiet, much better than my old 8800gt stock fan.

Cons: uhhh.....

Other Thoughts: if you are looking for passive / silent cooling for any card including the current nv8800/ati3800 series, this isn't necessary as long as you have good case air flow.

Pros: Practically silent. Easy to install.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought to use in conjunction with the Acellero VGA cooler S1.
Make sure that you have room for the cooler unit and this fan underneath it. The 2 in conjunction are pretty bulky but absolutely great at what they do.

Rating + 5 Worth the $$$

Pros: Cheap, big bang for your buck.

Cons: None. Installing was a very small bit tricky, but thats because my Accelero S2 fins needed to be adjusted.

Other Thoughts: For $8 + shipping you cant beat this with a stick. I currently have this with my Accelero S2 on my 8800 GT I Idle at 40C (50C without, and 60C stock HSF) After an hour of maxxed HG:L it hit 49C at the most from RT chart. Load: (49C, 75C no turbo module, 85ish stock HSF) It's worth it, trust me.

Rating + 5 modified for msi fanless

Pros: well, i know this was made for a particular application, but i knew i could modify it to fit another fanless card (MSI 8600GTS fanless). trimmed off long clips and just used the small tabs to secure it.

Cons: kind of a loose fit and cable won't run through fins as they should, but with some wire management, i was able to sort it out. remember this will void the warranty if it is modified though.

Other Thoughts: customer should be very happy with the overclock on the 8600gts using this cooler on it. don't do this if you don't know what you're doing and don't mind voiding this products warranty!

Rating + 5 Whisper Quiet

Pros: Easy to install in about 2 minutes. Whisper quiet. Replacing my stock cooler with an Arctic Cooler S1 and this fan dropped my X1950XTX idle temp from 72C to 40C and from 85C to 56C at load. After a week of burn in, the temps dropped another 3 degrees.

Cons: Absolutely none. Easier to install if you leave off the two-piece stabilizing brackets for the S1 radiator.

Other Thoughts: See my review for the Arctic Cooling S1 Cooler...it didn't make much sense. HIS X1950XTX stock settings are ACTUALLY 506 for GPU and 600 for DDR4 memory in 2D. These kick up to 648 GPU and 2000 DDR4 in 3D. With the S1 cooler and fan I got up to 682 and 2100, only 5%, but this card isn't known for its overclocking ability.

Pros: Easy install, dropped load temps by 5 degrees over what my s1 did by itself. Can't hear them...

Cons: was hoping for a bit more than 5 degrees difference, but o well... all in all not bad i reckon.

Other Thoughts: have a bfg 7950gt which w/ stock cooler ran at 89*C under load. With s1 and these fans, now at 48*C load, so you do the math. Well worth the small price for the pair, overclocking here i come!!!

Rating + 5 -10 degrees C, super quiet

Pros: Added to my Accelero S2 and wow, nice improvement. Peak temps lowered by 10 degrees Celsius on my Dell XPS with X850XT. Much faster return to idle temp after gaming. Super quiet- had to check to see the fans were actually spinning. Great value. Installed in under 10 minutes.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Wish they sold these in a combined package with the S1 & S2. Maybe call it "accelero extreme gamer edition" or something like that.
