The most bang for your buck!
Pros: For a mic that reproduces my voice so crystal clear, I'd expect to pay at least triple the price. This mic has withstood the test of time, and with me, that's no easy feat. This mic has been tossed into my backpack, along with my mouse and laptop, for many LAN sessions with friends. The mic is well-built and sturdy. Despite being dropped, banged, and tumbling around in my backpack, the mic still reproduces my voice crystal clear.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: Need a mic for Vent, Skype, MSN, etc.? This is the mic for you. It's not expensive, although with the way it performs, you'd have thought that it was!

Works
Pros: is usb so if you have speakers like mine that work off a sound card and has headseet plugin on the remote, this works great instead of pulling out puter, everyone can hear me clearly, easy set up on windows 64 bit
Cons: none

USB better than CL Audigy analog
Pros: Originally I was skeptic of a USB mic. No longer.
weighted base, long cord, USB connector. Full native Win 7 support. Good sound.
I swap between 2.0 desktop and 5.0 surround headphones, so a desktop mic is required for me.
Cons: none really..
Wish they/someone made a unit that was optional as a 3rd party headset boom attachable via some goose neck + clip mechanism.
Other Thoughts: makes me consider replacing my audigy card, but don't see the cost/benefit, yet.
Used to replace another low cost analog mic into a CL Audigy 2 ZS which started to have mic problems under Win 7x64. (CL barely supports win7x64 for their older stuff) This inexpensive mic replacement fixed it.

A good, clean mic!
Pros: - It's perfectly clear, even when turned up to the max. - It's solid enough to stay put wherever you place it. - I don't have to eat the mic to use it.
Cons: None, really.
Other Thoughts: I use this primarily for PC gaming applications, and it really does its job well. Now the teammates can hear me bark out orders at them without moving the mic off my desk to speak into it.

Cons: nothing really.
Other Thoughts: Alot better then a standard jack micrphone.

Fun So Far
Pros: *Works *Good price *Heavy base w/ small foot print *Picks up from far away (speaking voice in quiet room about 6ft/2m.
Cons: None really
free shipping would be nice
Other Thoughts: Running on vista Home Premium on first plug in go to control panel>sound>(tab)Recording>click and set to default
enter properties because default volume is tiny. I set to 100%.
I use it for Speech recognition. Not the intended use, but pretty accurate for simple dictations. Navigating this way (ex. a browser) is not going to be fun.

Great Microphone
Pros: Great quality and work perfect in Windows 7 Ultimate. Has good range and great for gaming. Have used it with Teamspeak and MSN chat voice without issues. The mute button feels sturdy and lights up to show active.
Cons: No cons
Other Thoughts: I've purchased a lot of microphones in the past at different price levels and quality. This has been my best buy to date.

Fantastic!
Pros: Plug in play capability, literally... (I simply plugged it in, Windows detected and automatically made it default microphone and I was good to go in about 10 seconds)!
Cons: The microphone does not fold up so you do need to find a place for it on your desk.
Other Thoughts: Skype picked it right up without a hitch. Works perfectly with both Skype and Google chat. What I found interesting too was there was no echoing effect for the person I was talking to even though the sound was coming out of the speakers. This affirms 5 eggs without question!

A Great Microphone!
Pros: Wanted to set up my Speech Recognition on my PC. Researched this microphone through several online websites & retail stores for the best pricing. The closet competitor was $24.000 plus tax & shipping. Product is excellent, easily setup and I trained my PC easily. Great for other applications such as video messaging, etc.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Newegg as usual had the best price, shipping was 3 days and worked right out of the package, just plug in usb port, turn on and it could not be easier. If your looking for a microphone, you can't go wrong with this product.

Great!, if it wasnt for......
Pros: 1. Great clarity from even 4 to 5 feet. 2. Weighted base 3. Sleek design 4. Mute button on the base 5. Works great with TeamSpeak 2 6. Affordable
Cons: I do like the sound quality of this mic. For the most part Windows 7 recognizes it. However,.. I cant get the majority of my games to work with it. Counter Strike Source, Battlefield 2, TF2, etc. Basically any game with built in chat doesnt see it. I've messed with my sound setting to the point of complete frustration. I dont know it its the mic or Windows 7 but if anyone knows the right combo of settings please feel free to chime in.
Other Thoughts: I like this mic, but I really really want to love it. I bought if for gaming so that I could wear my good headphones. Because this is plug & play Logitech doesnt offer software. If anyone knows of a 3rd party tweaking program please comment.

Good for business use
Pros: We are using to make recordings onto our phone system. The quality is quite good. The weighted base is nice, and the on/off button is easy to access right on the base.
Cons: Noise canceling would be nice, but for the money...I wouldn't expect that.

Works great - professional use and home use
Pros: - The captured sound is high quality - Easy to use and installation took seconds
Cons: - None
Other Thoughts: I use this thing all the time for webinars through GoToMeeting's VOIP solution. The quality captured by this device is very high and I always get compliments on how clear and easy to understand my voice is. I also use this on Skype with the same quality results. Also, I've used this thing on about 10 different computers and each time it is plugged into the USB port, the device is recognized and works without problems.

Great Microphone!
Pros: crystal clear sound, works from a couple feet away. it doesn't pick up background noise like the other cheaper microphones.
Cons: none yet.

Easy to use product
Pros: Actually purchased microphone from other retailer, but it's still a very good product. Windows Vista Home Premium immediately recognized and installed. While playing online games, people always hear what my wife is watching on the tv, 15 feet away. On off switch is a nice addition as well.
Cons: None that I can think of.

superior to old mini jack mics
Pros: - much more crisp audio when speaking in games -win 7 x64 recognizes w/o any probs -love the on/off button -picks up voice from several feet rather then inches
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: never go back to a mini jack mic again, worth the cost

best voice microphone for computer
Pros: (1) Best voice microphone for computer unless you are doing studio-quality recordings. (2) Superb voice quality and sensitivity/range (3) robust built. (4) USB plug and play, does not require separate software install. (5) prominent green indicator-switch indicates when it is on. (6) usable with webcam, skype, google-talk, MSN messenger, yahoo messenger and host of other applications. (7) fully digital interface eliminates any noise issue, common in 3.5" mini-plug type microphones.
Cons: (1) Needs manual setup for reliable operations: (a) In control panel->sounds & audio devices->audio, AK5370 must be set as default recording device, and "always use default device" must be checked for reliable use in all applications. (b) default volume is low - must be increased for reasonable sensitivity. (2) due to limited high frequency response, not suitable for instrumental music recording/pickup. (3) Price could have been lower - still acceptable. (4) does not work/interface with the HD audio system or AC97 audio system of the motherboard.
Other Thoughts: a 3.5" mini-plug version of the same quality would have been awsome, but then there might have been degradation in quality and noise issues due to the analog interface.

Great Mic
Pros: Great mic. Long lead makes it easy to move it around with you if you decide to move that far. Records well, and picks up from faaaar. This mic has been with me for three years now, and still works. It has traveled with me more than a dozen times, banged around in backpacks and suit cases (I do take care of it, and it takes care of me). I use it constantly in TS and games.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: As time goes on and the mic ages, the light will start to flicker, no big deal. Also, as it gets older, it doesn't stand up as well anymore, and you might find yourself putting a bit of blue tack in the joint to keep it standing. Again, after three years? No big deal. No loss of quality, no real cons.

Wonderful Mic
Pros: For the price you can not beat this mic. I purchased this for chatting on games and over chat servers. My voice is crystal clear and I have never had any issues with it. The USB connection is very simple and fast. I wouldnt use any other mic.
Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: great buy for the price. amazing.

Good quality at good price
Pros: picks up sound from a good distance away. Was using it at a LAN, and the thing was picking up sounds from people 10-15 feet away. could be a con, but I think of it as a pro b/c i'd rather have it pick up sound than not.
Cons: None really, at least nothing I consider the microphone's fault. Doesn't work too well in-game for team fortress 2, but really i've always had problems with that.
Other Thoughts: Microphone is a steal for 20 dollars plus free shipping.

An excellent, yet inexpensive microphone!
Pros: Excellent sound quality, USB connector, thick durable cable, weighted base.
Cons: The 'curvy' design is a little funny looking.
Other Thoughts: This microphone has excellent voice clarity and would be ideal for amateur voice acting, podcasts and Ventrilo/TeamSpeak/Skype/MSN/in-game voice chats. The filtering technology really does a good job in eliminating most unwanted ambient sounds. If you're looking for a microphone with excellent clarity for a low price, you've found it!

Product Does exactly as stated
Pros: This product was plug and play, simple as that. It took a little tweaking in certain games but thats expected. Works flawlessly for the few months i've had it and continues to make me sound crystal clear and not like im bob barker all the time.
Cons: None, great price, free shipping what more do you want from such a great product and online store!?

Very sensitive
Pros: Works well, has high sensitivity. My friends can hear things outside that I barely notice when I Skype with them. It has a built-in mute button.
IT WORKS IN LINUX! <-- just had to point that out. (Make sure you have your usb sound module running)
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Seems to pick up a lot of background noise. I dunno if that's a good or bad thing, so it's here.

Overall good mic.
Pros: The mic quality is really good. I am getting some "booms" during my recording but I think this is due to the fact that I have not turned the mics recording input levels all the way up, causing me to move closer to it. The sound quality is great, I am using it for commentaries on youtube and people say it is easier for them to hear my compared to other users.
Cons: Idk.

Works like a charm
Pros: Picks up extremely well when I'm gaming. Never had a single problem with it. Just plugged it in the USB port and it worked. Everyone hears me loud and clear AND whenever I don't want them to hear me I just press the button and its off. I totally recommend buying this mic for anyone who needs a reliable mic. It picks up my voice even when I'm sitting far away...very surprising. Might have to adjust your receiving volume, but that's not a problem...quick and simple.
Cons: Zero.
Other Thoughts: Buy it! :D

Crashes Windows 7 on reboot
Pros: Bought based on overall very good reviews, to replace some junk broken analog mic. Sound quality is good.
Cons: Not as sensitive as I'd like, and no Mic boost apparent in the audio settings.
Took a couple of plug/unplug tries to get all drivers installed.
Worst of all, I get reboot crashes on Windows 7 (Ultimate, 64 bit) because of this. It installed and works, and the first reboot after this, with the mic plugged in, crashed Win7 with a blue screen during the reboot. Dropping back to a restore point fixed this, and so does unplugging the mic during reboot, but what a pain. Even weirder, after a boot crash, the next reboot hangs up in the BIOS POST, so the mic is doing something nasty to the system even during reboot.
Other Thoughts: Hard to know who to blame, Logitech just uses standard audio drivers, nothing special to this device. So is it standard drivers or a hardware problem?

sweet
Pros: works like it shoud1. shows up in skype right away. also win 7 needs no drivers. on/off button is great. perfect when gaming, I dont have to have a "customer service" headset! also dont have to use an analog in on the sound card... its worth it.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: have had this for over 2 years now.

Best Buy of the year!
Pros: Great build quality. Amazing voice quality with Mac and Skype. Kicks iSight Firewire Mic's buttocks! People say it sounds better than a local landline call! Crystal clear!!!! If you don't need, buy one for a friend for christmas!
Cons: Sometimes the input volume defaults to the middle, but it could just be Mac's Snow Leopard software? Haven't installed any drivers from Logitech.
Other Thoughts: Republicans have gone crazy.

Sure beats a headset
Pros: Very clear to the listener and is completely plug and play. Just stick it in the USB and the drivers install immediately (Vista x64).
Cons: Why did I wait so long to get one?
Other Thoughts: Use with your computer speakers. No feedback or echo noise. You have to keep it pointing at you mouth or you can't be heard,

Good mic.
Pros: Good sound quality. small mic.
Cons: At first it would make a buzzing sound like a fan was near it, but that went away
Other Thoughts: good mic for the price.

Wish Ventrillo was more kind to it.
Pros: Good price. Logitech is solid.
Cons: In game, using ventrillo other people are complaining that my audio is awful. I have tried to mess with settings and just cannot get it to where there are no complaints.
Other Thoughts: Went back to a walmart $10.00 mic. People in game keep telling me to get a headset but I refuse. I wish I could have got this mic to preform up to expectations

Cheap & Lousy Audio
Pros: Not much to say in the pro section except the price - guess you get what you pay for
Cons: Lousy quality does not pick the voice up well - Guess I need to spend more money to get a decent mic

Great for a while
Pros: The base is weighed down so it wont fall over, has a button to turn off when I don't want to use it. Picks up on sound from 6 feet away easily.
Cons: I owned it for a year and hardly used it, now all the sudden the button is broken. I bought this when it was $30, guess now I just have a paperweight. All in all a good mic, but I'd take a push switch over this button any day.

nice
Pros: Good price.
Has a base! I hate those clip-on mics and I also don't care for having to wear a headset. Having a mic on a base for my desktop is liberating.
The sound seems to go through very clearly.
It's not picky about placement. I can pretty much have this thing anywhere in my room.
Cons: None really, but if I wanted to be picky I'd probably say that I wouldn't mind it being a bit sturdier.
When the mic is tilted at an angle, it feels looser than when it is upright. Perhaps it wasn't really meant to be used at an angle. I guess I'd like it better if it was tighter, harder to move at any angle. I wonder if, in time, it will wear out and simply tilt down on it's own when not upright.
I wouldn't mind a heavier base either.
Other Thoughts: Be sure to mess around with your microphone settings to make it just right for yourself.
I've made good use of this thing with voice chat in games and language learning software. I intend to use it for voice commands in some games. I gave up on that idea before because it wasn't very reliable. Maybe with this mic it will be.
If you are into amateur vids/voicework and don't want to spend much money. I think this mic would be a good choice.
I wanted a mic with a base for my computer, and I didn't want to spend too much money. I gotta say, I was surprised to find such a pleasant mic for so little money. I was honestly not expecting much because of the price and my underwhelming experience with mics on computers.
Be sure to have a free usb connection. Just in case you missed it, this mic uses usb.

Amazing
Pros: Noise canceling actually works. Very sturdy, doesn't swing around. I sound like Bob Barker.
Cons: None. LED light isn't really a big deal. Nice to have an On/Off button for convenience.
Other Thoughts: Definitely worth it's money. Better than buying cheap $12 ones from Walmart that break in a matter of a couple weeks. Plus Logitech has always treated their customers well with replacements if broken.

Awesome Mic
Pros: PnP made it extremely easy to setup. I didn't run issues with vent unlike every other mic I've used. The quality and range are quite impressive as well. The mic can pick me up all over my computer room which means it can pick up easily around 10-12 feet away.
Cons: None that i can think of, i haven't had any problems with.
Other Thoughts: With the sturdy base the mic doesn't fall over and the range and quality are quite impressive for the sales price of $19.99

Great buy
Pros: I've been really impressed with Logitech recently - they make great products, and this mic is no exception. It has been used for Rossetta Stone software and is an excellent choice for it.
Cons: None, for the purpose I bought it for. Not exactly a studio recording mic, but great for everything else.

Pros: Design is real slick. Sturdy base allows for flexible positioning. Picks up my voice from quite a distance. Trivial installation (Windows).
Cons: I sound like I have a head cold (very nasal). If I talk directly into it (holding it like a stage mic), then I sound fine. But any distance from it, including when it was on the edge of my desk, just a foot or so from my mouth, and I sound hollow and nasal.
Other Thoughts: I'm returning it after one day.

Excellent mic
Pros: This should be the gold standard of basic desktop mics. The sound quality is good, it needs no special drivers, and just works with everything you throw at it.
Cons: None whatsoever
Other Thoughts: Sometimes Windows will change the default mic, requiring you to change it back before programs will use this mic.

Great Mic for Skype
Pros: Windows XP recognized the mic as soon as I plugged the USB in, and the mic was working immediately. The base is nice and heavy so it stays in place. The sound pickup is great...it's very sensitive even from 18" away and the outgoing sound is very clear. It's a decent looking piece, not ugly at all. Overall, it's a great mic.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: The price from NewEgg was $12.00 less than the "office " store in my area and it was delivered to me within 24 hours of my order. That's what I love about NewEgg.

WOW
Pros: This is a great microphone compared to the piece of junk I got at a superstore for $8. It is great, it is excellent especially for video chatting and doesn't pic up all the little crackles and pops that many microphones do. I was on skype with my brother and he said it was so clear it sounded like we were in the same room. The base is heavy so it keeps it from falling forward annoylingly, set this guy in the back of your desk and it pics up!
Cons: The green button is very tempting to push on and off rapidly because it's just cool like that.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking to get clean recordings, get this man, I have vista and it works swell! (just turn up the microphone recording level)

Great Mic!
Pros: Cord length, very nice base, and very stable output. Plug & Play USB. Not as clear as a headset but really close.
Cons: Not really a con but it doesn't stay up! LOL. I guess after two years it wouldn't.
Other Thoughts: I have had this mic for more than two years and have never had any issues with it. Very reliable.

Plug and play
Pros: Simply plug it in and speak into it. Big on/off switch with green light makes it easy to tell if it's on. No software needed. Wire is heavy and doesn't seem like it would fail any time soon.
Cons: Swivel ball on base of mic seems like it's a little loose and looks like it might become more loose if you adjust it a lot.
Other Thoughts: Bought to replace a Logitech analog mic. This works great. Doesn't need as much tweaking.

Logitec usb micro
Pros: Easy to install, great sound quality good for gaming and pc to pc conversations.
Cons: Picks up background noise and feedback from speakers, can be too sensitive at times. Didn't get what I expected $25.99 seems a little high for this device.
Other Thoughts: Logitech should improve this item by adding weight to the base, as well as the microphone itself is thin and not durable.

Great little mic
Pros: Great little microphone with skype. Better than the built in one on the USB camera.
Cons: if I am too loud with my speakers the mic does not cancel the noise and people say it disturbs them during COD. Solution turn down the volume.
Other Thoughts: Got one for my mom and she likes it.

I like!
Pros: It does exactly what it says it does. I just plugged it in and it worked! Shootfire, it even picked up the wound of the wind hitting it from the window about seven feet away! Now that's a mic!
Cons: It picked up the wound of the wind hitting it from the window about seven feet away. ::chuckles:: I had to go and close the window.
Other Thoughts: Being on a fixed income, this is a very good value for the money. It remains to be seen how it holds up to use (I recently got Skype) but so far, I'm no complaining.

Exactly what I was expecting
Pros: Microphone does exactly what it's supposed to do. Broadcasts my voice clearly over any program or medium I choose. Despite what some reviews are saying, this works fine with Windows Vista (I use x64).
Cons: Under default settings the microphone broadcasts at very low volumes, though it is easy to fix by messing with windows sound settings. This microphone is a bit too sensitive, and picks up most sounds around me while I'm speaking. LED is an odd color, but I don't really care about that.
Other Thoughts: I bought this microphone because I decided to move away from using 'gaming' headsets for games, and instead buy a decent pair of headphones (Sennheiser HD555's) and a separate mic. This mic probably isn't as good as some I've used which are attached to headsets, but as far as sound quality is concerned I don't regret the choice I've made one bit.

Good (?) Microphone
Pros: Its a desktop microphone, and not too gaudy. Logitech is usually pretty decent!
Cons: Does NOT WORK with Vista (32 bit). No drivers, as it is "plug+play". Windows recognizes it, but no games I own will actually accept it as a valid input.
Other Thoughts: I'll let you know if it works with Windows 7 RC on the same machine soon enough.

Looks great!
Pros: Microphone works great and has a nice range on it (can hear people in the whole room).
Cons: USB connector is interesting...not exactly plug and play on all computers - some you have to specify the USB as the microphone input. For true plug and play I'd prefer one with a 1/8" microphone jack on it.

Pros: Exactly what I needed for gaming. Much cheaper than a headset and picks up voice from pretty far away. If you don't consider yourself an audiophile and just need something that works, and works well. Pick this up.
If you're an audiophile looking for something that can pick up every pitch and every tone, keeping looking. Especially at this price range.
Cons: None really.

Great Mic
Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to and does it for a long time. Plug and play. On/off switch is nice too.
Cons: IT DOESN'T COOK ME BREAKFAST
Other Thoughts: I've had this mic for years. I originally got it when my mobo's mic port stopped working, and that was on my last computer. I still use it today, it works great with all of my games. I guess I take it for granted because I didn't realize how long I've had this mic until I saw it here on newegg when shopping around.

Pros: Connects to USB port and not Line-In. Quality of voice audio recording is outstanding. Can't beat price for quality. Great for video tutorials.
Cons: Maybe the usb cabling could be a bit longer. But thats a preference.

Great USB Mic for Skype and other voice apps
Pros: A great USB mic. I bought it specifically to use with Skype. I have it mounted on my desk, directly under one of my 24" monitors. I can walk back about 25 away (I've only done this for testing purposes) from the mic and have a decent conversation with it over my speaker monitors. It works great, doesn't pick-up any feedback from the speakers. I normally sit about 3 ft, 6ft or 12 ft back on my couch and it works well in all these settings. Especially in the 3 - 6 ft range.
A great benefit of it being a USB mic, is I don't have to use one of my valuable 24 bit/96khz xlr ports on my M-Audio Omni Studio audio card. And of course it can be used on any USB device, my XP Desktop, XP laptop or MAC (but I haven't tried it on my MAC yet).
Cons: Nothing significant, that I can think of. I suppose one could argue that it could be a little smaller, but I think it's fine for the purpose of what it was designed for. It looks like one of the banker's pens that sits in a swivel on a desk.
Other Thoughts: Logitech makes really great products. I've been using many of theirs over the years, such as their wireless mic, etc. They seem to really have great drivers, ergonomics, style, quality and decent (or reasonable) prices. They are not cheap, but not necessarily expensive unless you buy their top of the line full featured products.
I think this is a mic you will be happy with, for the long haul.

Vista instructions
Pros: I put this mike in the middle of my 5.1 speakers, right in front of and below my monitor.
After turning up the input volume, it worked just fine for gaming. No need for software installation.
Cons: It works fine for me for Team Fortress 2.
You may get feedback if your own voice is playing over your speakers while you are recording. You'll need to turn that option off in your application, only talk for a second at a time, or use a headset. I doubt you'll find a mic that won't give you feedback if it can pick up your voice again from your speakers.
Other Thoughts: Turn up the microphone volume in Vista: - right click the speaker icon in your system tray (or Sound->Recording from the Control Panel) - select Recording Devices - select Microphone (# USB Audio Device) - click Properties - select the Levels tab - drag the bar to the right - click OK

Great Mic
Pros: I bought this mic to be used for better communication while I game with my buddies. Since I can not hear how I sound on the other end of the mic while gaming, i decided to use a sound program to test it out. I started recording with the mic right next to my PC for around 20 seconds without me saying a word. After blasting the speakers up and pressing play, I couldn't even hear my fans running (take note that my PC has tons of loud fans.) So basically, this mic can't pick up my fan noise if it is in front of them.
- Doesn't pick up computer noise - Small and light weight - GREAT recording quality
Cons: I don't consider this a CON but even if I put the volume at max for the mic, I still have to be relatively close to it for it to pick up my voice. If I am not close to it, I have to talk a little loud for it to pick up my voice. But still, i found ways around so it is still a great mic.

Decent microphone
Pros: It's a cheap, fairly clear microphone. It works.
Cons: It has difficulty picking up high notes without horrible clipping, even with the volume very low.
Other Thoughts: My computer's fans are very quiet, but when I am trying to record myself singing I can distinctly hear them in the background if I have the volume high enough for the microphone to pick me up. When I record from a little sheet-tent, it still has a distinct bit of distortion and noise. For the price, though, I can't expect much better.

Works like a charm
Pros: This microphone is amazing, truly plug and play in both my PC and Mac environments. The sound quality is insanely clear, nice long cord, adjustable neck, and the on/off button is pretty nifty too. I even bought one for my parents too so we could keep in touch on Skype.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I wish I could eat anything I wanted and not get fat.

Best microfone ever.
Pros: First of all Im a big fan of Logitech products, and this microfone is one of the products that keep it that way. It been almost 5 years where me and other 3 friends play games online and talk on Skype, until I get this microfone I always had trouble using my speakers because the other 2 microfone I had return all the game sound to them too, so to them be able to hear me they had to hear the game also. So I had two choices before: Use a headset and dont use my speakers or disturbe them with all my noise (most shooting game). Now with this microfone only my voice is pick up which is amazing and deservers 5 egg for sure.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I have been a skype user for years, and skype lets you adjust your sound and microfone volume. By default it adjust your microfone for you, so I always uncheck that and adjust it my self, if I give it about 25% of microfone volume they only get my voice on a good quality volume, which the others didnt worked that way, it was everything or nothing at all (ie. if I set the other mic volume down, not only the room noise would be gone but my voice also would). And on this if I set Skype volume all the way up and then everything is heard but I can speak from my kitchen and they still listen to me.

Awesome Mic
Pros: I was a bit skeptical about spending 20$ for a mic, but after I got this thing, I was blown away. The sound is very clear and all the background noise is filtered out, beats any headset mic by tenfolds.
Cons: Would have liked a blue light instead of a green one :)
Other Thoughts: Since it's usb, couldn't plug it through my Omega Striker soundcard and edit my voice. Oh well, still love this mic.

Good, quality mic
Pros: Lasted 3 or 4 years now. Works perfectly. Sound quality is top notch for a cheap desktop mic. Good for gaming.
Cons: Volume always gets stuck at 5% after I unplug it.
Other Thoughts: I paid $50 for this at best buy 3 and a half years ago. 23.99 is a much better price :)

Pros: It looks really nice, and feels good.
Cons: It isn't compatible with Vista 64 bit, so watch out. I gotta return this and try and find one that looks as good, but it compatible.

Doesn't work in Vista 64bit
Pros: None
Cons: Technically, it works but you have to be like 2 inches from the microphone otherwise it won't record anything. Then what's the point of getting a desktop microphone?
Don't get this microphone if you have Vista on your system.
Other Thoughts: I know this microphone works like it's supposed to under XP. but no I'm not installing XP just to use this microphone. That's stupid. (Doesn't mean that I hate XP. It's just that I don't like to dual boot and espeically not for the sole purpose of using this microphone)

Sounds good, but hinge is floppy
Pros: Clear sound, decent sensitivity, sturdy construction, built-in mute button
Cons: Bright LED that can't be turned off without muting the microphone. I have to mute it at night before I go to sleep since my computer's in my bedroom.
The microphone won't stay upright, unless it's pointed all the way up. It falls down because of a weak, faulty hinge. I can't have it at the angle I want pointed towards my mouth because the hinge can't support the mic's weight.

Simply Awesome
Pros: Easy to setup. Plug into USB and select the AK... model name on whatever dropdown lists apply.
I use this mic on a daily basis with ventrillo and received many inquiries on what i had done to sound so much better than i usually do. While that might say more about my old mic than this new one, my own tests (including a tv in the background) did result in great quality via the speex codec in ventrillo and a couple of voice overs in adobe premiere.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I'm still not sold on the need for the on/off button on the base of the mic that glows green while on, but it doesn't get in the way.

Leaped then looked
Pros: Plugged, played. Small profile on desktop
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I bought it and then looked at the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at the number that were positive. Now I know why.
