Works Just Fine
Pros: Very simple and inexpensive 2.1 system. Sounds good - not high end but it isn't supposed to be. For the money, it is excellent.
Cons: None

Solid
Pros: Good little set of speakers. Nice size.....sub is nice and compact and does not kill all of your office space
Cons: none...
Other Thoughts: Dont buy these hoping for a home theater.......they are really just for playing music in a small room of watching vids on the computer.....

Impressed
Pros: Great price, good sound for the price, bass is clear, small and mobile. For the price, with shipping, if you're looking for speakers, then this is it. Don't expect anything earth shattering, but for my current PC I'm loving this.
Cons: None really. If you expect better sound than this your budget ought to be higher.

Nice!
Pros: Easy installation, high quality, low price. $24 for speakers and a sub woofer? Really? Master volume switch control is nice. Very good sound, games sound great. Logitech quality, price, and ease.
Cons: They do get really loud when the the switch isn't even half way turned. That's really it.
Other Thoughts: I've never used a sub woofer before and I am amazed. I was using a pair of your everyday speakers before but the sub woofer is amazing. Music is much more enjoyable, and games are very realistic in comparison to my older speakers. You can really feel the sub woofer especially when a bomb goes off in COD MW2. I would highly recommend these over anything else for you home PC or you gaming rig, because you just can't beat the price!

Good Value for Price
Pros: -These speakers give great value for price if you are on a budget and you don't want to spend a lot of money, you should really consider these speakers. I was a little skeptical about these speakers if they were going to be decent because of such a low price, but they are good solid speakers. I would suggest Logitech X-540 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121006) if you want to spend about $100 CAN on speakers and they are very good speakers as a couple of friends bought them. (I cheaped out lol) But, if you want to buy a full out amazing speakers I would suggest Logitech Z-2300 for $220 CAN (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121122CVF)
Cons: A con about these speakers is that the wires that separate the two speakers are a little short, but they still are decent length. The speakers aren't the best, but great for the price. There isn't a separate volume adjust knob but that's not that important, there distortion at high volume, and slightly short twitter leads.
Other Thoughts: I would very much suggest these speakers if you are on a budget and you don't want to buy expensive speakers.

Awesome speakers and sub-woofer
Pros: - Good price - Comes with a sub-woofer - Can get extremely loud - Easy to use volume controller - Excellent sound quality
Cons: - Short cables (Speaker cables can be split apart; sub-woofer ones cannot)

I Love Them!
Pros: They have amazing sound quality, cheap for how good they are.
Small and compact, easy to use and i love the volume dial control.
The Sub has a little dial to adjust it, i like that since some songs can be "Too" bassy.
Cons: I was listening to hotel california and i cranked it up to alost max and was a little "static" but nothing i can't easily overcome :)
The power cord is alittle short... but thats nothing a cheap little extention cord cant fix.
Other Thoughts: The speakers are alot smaller then i thought they would be, so if your looking for somthing more hardcore/Big then i would look else where (but these do have great sound.) But other than that i love these.

Fantastic Value
Pros: I can't believe the great sound I am now getting for such a small expenditure. Easily worth it. Normally only listen to music on my stereo equipment, but these are good enough to actually enjoy music coming from a computer.
Cons: None

Great speakers for the price
Pros: Attractive design, small footprint, low price. Sound is clear and accurate.
Cons: Volume control knob is kind of pointless. I wish it was possible to use these speakers without it.
Other Thoughts: The subwoofer is more of a midbass woofer and doesn't get all that loud but for $20 it's not bad at all.

Good
Pros: Great subwoofer and speakers. This system nails the most important aspects.
Cons: Sound controller could be a lot better. The on/off switch is very small and hard to use unless you grip the entire controller. Which brings up the next problem, the volume wheel is very sensitive up top, so gripping it can cause small volume changes.
Other Thoughts: Fantastic sound and highly recommended, specially for it's low price. However, if you plan on using the sound control a lot instead of just using Windows to adjust things, consider other systems as well.

Pros: Had these in my dorm room and they could be heard all the way down the hall! Great sound quality from such a low profile setup. Couldn't be happier with these speakers!
Cons: Volume knob pops off occasionally but goes right back on. Not a big deal at all.

Great Value!
Pros: Wow, at $25 these things are great! Sure there not, $150 BOSE speakers, but they still provide some great sound at the price. Can't wait to use these with FSX, it will be a big upgrade of built in speakers I have always used.
Cons: Power cord could be longer.
Other Thoughts: If your on a budget these are your speakers, crisp, ample volume, and sleek looking. What more can you ask for at $25?

Best bang for the buck
Pros: Sound Great for the Price.
Cons: Had the 2nd set I ordered come in with one of the speakers DOA, and RMAing it for a replacement cost nearly as much as the speakers to send back.

Pros: The quality of sound is awesome! I would never expect such small speakers to perform this well. Sub-woofer is great too. I had a more expensive system with bigger speakers and sub-woofer 3 times larger and heavier than this one - I wish I got Logitech long time ago.
Very small size - cleared up some space on my desk and added much better sound.
Separate volume unit has headphones and mic jacks - very convinient if you the only once you have are in the back of your CPU.
For a home/work PC, listening to music, watching movies and organizing small parties in the house - this is an excellent choice.
Would definitely buy it again and recommend to others.
Cons: The dual cord between the speakers is really short. It was less than 40 inches long between the speakers - I had to separate it further toward the connector to put it around my 19" monitor. It can be separated much further, but if your PC is on the floor like mine, it's gonna be quite close fit. For any other purposes if you need a longer cord, you might want to get an extension. I guess because of a such small size, they weren't made to be used anywhere else beside desktops and laptops, but the quality of sound makes me want to use them around the house.
The short cord is the biggest con in this system, but I refuse to take off an egg for it.
Other Thoughts: Separate volume unit... never seen this before - the volume is added as a separate unit connected with another cord. It doesn't bug me, but it's on the edge of my desk and there is nothing holding it - no sticky glue on the bottom - nothing, so it's easy to knock it off the desk. But it works just fine and has those useful headphones and mic connectors in it.

Pros: Amazing speakers! I cannot believe the value! Beautiful quality, and at a great price! Buy them!
The mic/headphone/volume control/power switch unit is a unique solution that I enjoy immensely. No more knocking over things reaching behind my speakers!
Cons: None

Good deal, but I wish the bass is more powerful.
Pros: 1. Price 2. Sound Quality. Clear and no hisses. 3. Looks good on my deskstop. If your not a gamer, then this is the perfect speaker if you like to make your table looks neat and tidy. 4. Just plug it. No software to be installed.
Cons: 1. Bass is weak 2. Careful not to bump the mini subwoofer. The little damgae can be easily seen. I'm glad mine is on the other side of people's view.

Speaker system
Pros: The 3 speaker set was well worth the $25. The bass is amazing, the 2 smaller ones flow great with my 2 other logitech ones and my OLD JBLs.
Cons: None at this point

Fantastic speakers for $
Pros: The speakers look nice and sound even better. For the price, you probably can't beat them.
Cons: Power cable on the back is rather short for my taste, but certainly not a con.

Bad design, half decent sound, meh...
Pros: Inexpensive. Tall speakers are surprisingly stable.
Cons: Volume control does not affect the headphones when jacked in. Cords go from sound card and sub-woofer to the volume control, rather than sound card -> sub-woofer -> volume control: making a mess of extra wire going to your desk, volume control nob is very light, and gets pushed around too easily. Speakers are connected together, rather than separately to the sub-woofer (meaning they are a fixed distance from each-other and can't be spread out well). Less than great sound quality.
Other Thoughts: These things are dirt cheap, so it's not like you should be expecting something. For their price, they're decent I guess, but honestly they're really not that great, and I'll probably grab a new set in a month or so.

Awesome sound quality
Pros: Great sound quality, especially for the price. This won't satisfy an audiophile or DJ or someone who needs 5.1 surround, obviously, but for an average to frequent user, this will do just fine. Good bass, good volume range. Nice shiny design, too. I like the wired remote, can't get many 20 dollar speakers with that. The subwoofer is surprisingly good for how small it is. Great for limited desk space setups.
Cons: Power switch on remote is too small and feels flimsy.
Short cables, which is a problem for almost any speaker set, it seems.

Awesome Speakers
Pros: Great speaker! Inexpensive, can easily fill a medium sized room with lots of sound. I love the bass on this thing. It has a knob on the back so you can adjust it as needed. It's also small so it can fit just about anywhere.
Cons: The power cord is short, approx 3-4 ft. The bass woke up my roommate! lol. Lot's of wires
Other Thoughts: The speakers are awesome, and have great sound quailty for the price, though they do have a lot of wires attached to them. I am kinda OCD about wire management, so having all these wires meant I took a little longer to set up the speakers, but other then that, they are awesome!

Don't walk away from them
Pros: The control pod is very handy and nice to have aux input on it. The sub is small, but produces adequate bass.
Cons: The speakers are very light and will fall over from the slightest nudge. The cables are a little short. Being able to hear them from anywhere in the room is not the same as room filling sound.
Other Thoughts: The sound quality is good (especially for the price) when sitting at the desk three feet from the speakers, but diminishes quickly when when you walk away. Aim them at your face and stay put.

Good budget speakers
Pros: Small footprint fits in lots of places, acceptable sound quality, nice looking, good brand, price
Cons: I wish the volume dial was just on one of the speakers. It's a separate little thing that won't stay on the desk because the cables weigh more than it and drag it off. On the plus side, it has extra jacks for plugging in headphones and a mic.
Other Thoughts: If you're not wanting big speaker sound, these are great! I have them on a secondary machine and are used for listening to music, watching videos, and playing games. I had low expectations because of the price tag but they sound pretty good!

Great deal
Pros: Had these speakers for a couple months now, had no problems whatsoever with them. The sound quality is amazing considering the price you pay, but don't expect the same quality you would get from a high end set.
Cons: Volume controller is a bit cheap, feels like it could break if i'm not careful with it.
Other Thoughts: Its hard to pick a set of speakers without actually hearing them, I'm glad i picked this set.

Great Buy!
Pros: Honestly for the price I would not have believed that these speakers would produce the quality of sound that they do. For the price these speakers rock!
Cons: None yet, unless they somehow break sometime soon, doubtful.

Orange light
Pros: Nice sound from the little speakers. I love the volume control - I have it placed between my dual screens.
Cons: The volume control has an annoying orange light... I'd prefer blue.
Other Thoughts: I mostly use the speakers for video editing - and they suit my needs perfectly.

Great buy
Pros: Great sound for such a system, has extensive setup as well. Been looking for a good audio system that won't break the bank, and this is just great. Can feel the bass without getting complaints and more clear sound than most other systems in this price range.
Cons: Doesn't sound like a $1000 system
Other Thoughts: Bass has AC connection, as well as a volume adjust connected to it. The volume adjusting device has wires to connect to the PC for audio and mic. A headphone or mic may be plugged into the volume adjust knob for easier access. Knob has an on/off switch. Left & right speakers connect to one wire that connects into the bass (wires could be a bit longer).

cute shiny speakers
Pros: sound quality is good and price is not that expenssive. let's say.. an "okay" speaker. and it looks cute and shiny.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: if u only want to spend $25 and below, then u should buy this. but if u have more than $25 to spend for a speaker then buy a better one, cuz this one isn't that great. it's just an "okay" speaker.

Great Speakers
Pros: I use these speakers for console gaming on a monitor and I am extremely pleased. Bought this from Newegg for around 28 dollars and WOW these speakers are awesome. Of course the speakers won't blow you away but for 28 bucks these speakers more than get the job done and keep going strong.
Cons: For 28 dollars there is no con.

Pros: Price
Cons: Scratchy at kinda high volume and the speakers and sub are very small. I had no idea.

Buyers beware
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: CHEAP!!
Other Thoughts: Like so many others my stupid speaker jack stopped working after very light use for 3 months. These are garbage, warranty = non existent. Wish I had spent a little more money on something built better. Logitech, do yourself a favor and discontinue this product, it gives your good rep a bad name.

Pros: -nice size -nice sound quality -bass is sufficient -price -controller -color
Cons: -none so far

SWEEEEEET
Pros: WOW. Just got in the mail, and though somewhat frustrated with packaging (took me at the very least 5 min to pull apart :P) i was disappointed to see 2 tiny speakers. But now plugging them in, they sound amazing and the bass really comes through the tiny sub-woofer.
Cons: None. I don't know about how long they'll last but i don't forsee any problems. no issues with cords.
Other Thoughts: very clear sound, nice desktop remote thing that lets you do volume headphone and mic (though i have it on front of computer it's easier for this and good for other computers.

FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE OK
Pros: They are small and are good for a small desk. Was one of the uses I needed these for. For the money I suppose they are pretty good. The bass is pretty decent.
Cons: I don't really like the volume control being another wire. I personally would have liked these better with the volume control on one of the speakers. It is just another wire in the way. But it is small and not too bad. Just think they could of done without the extra wire.
Other Thoughts: Logitech is a good brand and is the reason I went with these speakers in particular.

Ok System for Low Low Price
Pros: Nice sounding bass and decent volume
Cons: TERRIBLE speakers I can't hear anything with the speakers it comes with. If I turn them all the way up they sound bad and still aren't loud at all.
Other Thoughts: If you just want a decent Sub then buy this product but if you are looking for decent sound as a whole look elsewhere.

Big sound for a small price
Pros: Have a KVM and needed some good speakers for my 4 PCs on a KVM. Excellent sound, better than my 5 year Harmon Kardon sound system with a smaller sub-woofer.
Cons: Controller could be more easily marked on top. Keep turning up the sound rather than down.
Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong with Logitech

Fair
Pros: Sound comes out of the speakers.
Cons: Sub is weak.
Other Thoughts: I should have coughed up a little extra $ and bought a better system.

S-220
Pros: The sound quality is superb for this price. I read a lot of good reviews for this set of speakers, but I didn't expect them to be so true. I haven't test this speaker on high volume yet, but it is loud enough when it is at mid volume. The subwoofer produce enough bass for causal listening. The S-220 produce very clear sounds comparing to my old speakers that cost more.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: The speakers/subwoofer looks much larger in the photo, but they are quite small. When I take them out of the box, I couldn't believe they can produce such good quality/loud sounds. And because of its size, the S-220 look really neat on your desk.
After just one day of use, I already ordered two more sets.

Avoid!
Pros: Price.
Cons: Left speaker was dead out of the box. Save up a little extra money and buy better ones. I thought I could get lucky with these put I was wrong.
Other Thoughts: Seriously... pay more money for better speakers... you'll be much happier in the end.

I had trouble.
Pros: None.
Cons: I received one of these and one of the speakers didn't work. The second one worked, but on the speakers was still to low. I bought a new sound card and it didn't fix it.
Other Thoughts: None.

Sounds good. Some logistic problems
Pros: Good price. Small size. Nice sound. I like the hook-up for auxilliary headphones/mic.
Cons: Auxilliary jack does not unplug from woofer- makes it slightly more challenging to get the cords up from the floor, behind the desk and to where I can easily access the jack/volume.

Logitech S-220 speaker system
Pros: I got the Logitech S-220 speaker system in the mail today and in a short time connected it to my laptop. I was amazed by the sound. It has excellent bass and great tone. The S-220 system is superb for the money.
Cons: Don't expect it to rattle the windows, but it gives plenty of sound for my sixties music. This is not the audiophile's dream system. However, I have enjoyed the sound of internet radio this afternoon using this system.

Great, but...
Pros: Great sound, a lot louder than I thought their maximum volume would be.
Cons: I thought one of my speakers was dead, but wiggling the jack connected to the subwoofer eventually got them both working. I can't tell if it's a placebo effect or not, but I think a single speaker sounds a bit better than the two combined. When they're both on, they sound a bit muted.
Other Thoughts: The one speaker is loud enough and sounds good enough I don't particularly care that the other doesn't seem to work very well.

Pros: Very good sound from speakers.
Cons: The sub woofer give little to no bass at all. The volume dial is in an awkward spot. I also find the wire that connects the speakers to continually pull them down.
Other Thoughts: Good speakers for average use. Any gamers or music lovers will find them lacking in depth.

VERY NICE FOR THE PRICE!

Price For Sound
Pros: Got these as replacement for some cheap 10$ set I had that went out. Worth the money! They put out extremely loud volumes without distortion. Can have them up loud enough to be heard through the house with no distortion. The control piece makes for easy plugin for a headset if your a gamer, which allows you to quickly swap between headset and speakers depending on what your doing. The cables can be split for more moving space, which allows you to place the control piece near you on a desk, etc, for easy to reach volume control vs. having to reach up to a speaker to adjust.
Cons: They weren't free, and the sub woofer hits a little. If your looking for a big bad sub woofer id suggest looking in the higher priced categories.
Other Thoughts: Buy it if you need it for everyday use and listening and want quality for your buck.

Great Computer Speakers
Pros: Volume control and plugs on desktop, good sound for tiny speakers, price
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This set of speakers is well designed. The cords are the right length for a desktop computer setup. The subwoofer isn't ridiculously large. They sound good, and have a "remote" volume control. "remote" is a term used loosely because it is wired to the subwoofer. Completely happy with the sound and everything else

great for the price
Pros: These actually sound fairly good for the price. There is actually a dedicated bass channel for the soundcard.
Cons: They don't make your ears bleed?
Other Thoughts: These are great for listening to music while working or playing videogames. You have to turn the bass all the way up for it to sound good, but that's ok.

Logitech S-220 17 Watts 2.1 -
Pros: Although inexpensive, in realilty they are just an upgrade from a 2 desktop speaker system. Relatively good response for such an inexpensive system. Subwoofer adds base not available on desktop speakers and does a good job of adding bass response.
Cons: Highs are flat, base is muted and muddy. the system does not project sound and the effect is a flat response. Using the equilizer and setting the bass frequencies helps quite a bit.
Other Thoughts: If you just need something small and inexpensive for your desktop, this fits the bill. If you are a discriminating ear for sound, invest in something better.
I gave it 4 eggs because of what you get for the money. If price was not factored in, I would give 3 eggs.

Logitech Speaker System
Pros: The setup looks very sleek. Subwoofer is compact, but packs an ENORMOUS punch. I never would have believed that a little box like that could rumble so much. Same thing goes for the speakers. They are significantly smaller than I expected, but they pack a huge punch. At max volume, distortion is minimal. Excellent setup here.
Cons: The only con about this thing is the remote control for it has a little dial that you use to control the volume and it can be very - Awkward - To turn it. No big deal really. Just thought I'd mention it.
Other Thoughts: You can safely pull the speaker wires apart and if you use your Subwoofer as the centerpiece(Because that's where the speakers plug into) you can get a good 6 to 7 feet of spread between the two speakers. As another buyer mentioned, the sound does seem a tiny bit muffled, but you get used to it.

very satisfied
Pros: they're not going to destroy anyone's walls, but they will completely fill a room with sound. i bought them for a living-room computer that has to be loud enough for parties. works perfectly, sound is good enough quality for 99% of people. volume control knob thing has microphone and headphone jacks too.
Cons: volume control knob thing is a bit awkward/weird. the sub's bass control could have been integrated into it. eh maybe i'll get used to it. you can just hide it somewhere anyway.

Pros: Great as usual for Logitech, this is my third set of Logitech speakers and these sound great and are very attractive. i expected the subwoofer to be larger but it preforms great for the size.

Good on music...Bad on TV
Pros: Price, looks, sound OK when listening to music
Cons: Poor sound when watching TV/DVR
Other Thoughts: I bought these Logitech speakers because of the combination of price and good reviews. However, these speakers sound worse than the 8-year-old speakers (Harman-Kardon) they were going to replace (there should be no competition between these speakers). I watch TV (WMC) on my PC more than listen to music, and the TV sounds like it's in an empty bathroom.

Nice Speakers for a higher price!
Pros: Great Price, work for both PC and Mac, nice quality sound within typical spectrum. These work great for our needs as a living room iTunes and Pandora player.
Cons: Had some distortion with classical that had a wide range of volume and sounds. For the audiophile these might not be optimal but for the price they can't be beat.
Other Thoughts: Have heard speakers that cost far more sound worse!

Great for the money
Pros: For the price, these are a great pair of speakers. They're loud, break up quite musically when pushed very hard, and have a pretty wonderful tonality to them. I'm actually very impressed with these speakers - and that's saying a lot for the great deal that I've run through.
Cons: While the speakers break up very nicely, sometimes you get a bit of tone loss - it kind of leaves dynamics out to die. If you're a studio musician or you're doing some serious mixing, these are not the speakers for you. If you're gaming or just enjoying some noise (and are on a budget), these are great speakers.
Other Thoughts: Mine came with a short on the wire that connects to the sub woofer. Not a big deal (with a soldering iron and a trip to Radio Cr@p). But, I wonder how long these are going to be able to withstand my constant abuse....

Pros: Good sound. Certainly MUCH better than the speakers on my gateway laptop built in spkrs. They're mediocre (slightly better than mediocre perhaps)
Cons: Hey, they're 21 buck's. What do you want? Seriously! Just buy them! You'll be glad you did.
Other Thoughts: price notwithstanding these sound good. When price is factored in, they're GREAT! They're not Bose, but they're not 600 dollars either! I paid 21 dollars and I'd purchase them again in a heartbeat! If you can find better speakers for this range of money, buy them. Good luck with that. Please share your results with others on that.

AMAZING!
Pros: -PRICE! -These can get very loud without getting static -Sounds quality is amazing (I am not a high tech sound guy though) -They look great!! -Parts all work -The speakers can be plugged in to an iPOD and they will work. They won't be real loud, but it does work! - I would DEFINITELY buy these again and would tell others to do the same
Cons: -Some wires MIGHT be a little short for some people, but I had NO problem. They are meant to be close to each other. But should not be a problem for most :D
Other Thoughts: -You all should know that on the part where you plug your headphones in, the top spins, and that controls the volume. It doesnt screw off.

You get what you pay for
Pros: Cheap
Cons: The sound this speaker system puts out is noticably worse than my $70 headset. I'm not quite sure how to accurately describe it, but it seems like the sound these speakers produce is lower pitched or muffled. The sound quality just isn't nearly as clear and sharp as what I get from my headset, making these speakers a big dissapointment for how many positive reviews they have recieved. My cheap 10+ year old speakers had better quality sound than these.

Not Bad...
Pros: Pretty good sound, it sounds like a $50 or more system. Cheapest 2.1 solution that has a quality feel to it. Small, slim, but fairly powerful. The volume pod has headphone jack which is awesome.
Cons: Subwoofer can't hang with the big boys unfortunately, but it is still decent. This isn't the speakers for audiophiles, unless you have absolutely no room.
Other Thoughts: If it were to rate the system overall, it'd be 4 stars, but at this price, i give it a 5 for great value. The cords were not long enough initially to wrap around my 24" monitor, but you just pull the cable apart, and instant length :P

what you'd expect for the price
Pros: They work, are much louder then my monitor speakers...gunshots sound awsome.
Cons: The sound quality isnt great. Kinda basey. I turn down the base and then it just sounds a little off. Not bad, but not a great high end sound system.
Other Thoughts: for the money its not bad, for listening to music and not just gaming you may be disappointed.

Pros: Great for the money, can't beat them. The sub is quite powerful and sounds good. Speakers, are small, but for their size and price the output is good.
Cons: At louder volumes the distortion sets in a little sooner than I hoped. I previously had JLB 2.1 speakers, which were better but the sub was going bad. These speakers are not quite as loud/powerful, but the sub is. Overall for twenty something dollars these are great, unless you like blasting your music.

great sound
Pros: great price, small speakers ,great sound

Good for the price
Pros: Compact, decent bass for the price, convenient volume/power/headphone/microphone pod, stylish.
I would recommend these speakers for use with a computer as long as you're not aiming for filling a large room at high volume or if you are looking for 20-20,000 Hz frequency response. I use them for regular computer sound and for listening to music while working.
Of course, with a 4" subwoofer, the bass is not powerful, but I didn't expect that anyway. For what it is, the set puts out more than adequate sound of reasonable quality. The pod is nice, but the quality of the on/off switch is low. That is problematic since I prefer to turn off the unit when I'm away from my computer. The cheapness of the switch makes it seem like it will not last too many cycles.
Cons: Quality of the on/off switch, short power cord, quality control.
Other Thoughts: This is a follow up review of my one-egg review on 11/13/2009. The first unit was DOA; the problem appeared to be in the volume/power/headphone/mic pod, but I didn't fully analyze it since I wanted to return the unit for replacement. Newegg was great about the return. My only complaint is having to pay the return shipping costs for a DOA unit. Seems like Logitech should be the one to eat that (and it would be an incentive to improve quality control).
The replacement unit has been excellent. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 eggs was the quality control issue with the original unit.

You get your money's worth with this!
Pros: It is hard to believe that you could find something better at this price. The sound is clear and strong. The S220 provides solid bass and highs that don't get tinny. I have had mine for around 6 weeks now, and I'm plenty satisfied.
Cons: The set up is a little clunky, and they dont fill up a room the way a good pair of stereo speakers would, but what do you want for $25?

Great value for the price
Pros: It has a wired remote and the remote has a Headphone and Microphone jack. It's hard to find a speaker set with a Mic jack on the remote.
Cons: Bass is not boombastik. But it's adequate for the price.
Other Thoughts: Great entry level speaker set. You won't feel like you got ripped off.

Fantastic speakers for the price
Pros: Sub is clean, not too muffled but not too sharp. Plenty of power for $20 to keep my needs happy. Even for 17watts, this set blasts with WinAmp and L2D2 going. Thus far, the best bang for the buck I have seen yet.
Cons: None at all. I've already recommended these to countless friends.
Other Thoughts: Purchased to replace a horrible $35 set from a year back I purchased from the local electronics store for my main computer (gaming and TV capture). These babies are plenty powerful enough and the dial remote for the volume makes for a quick adjustment if needed. I have a three month old daughter so being able to quickly turn the volume down on a second's notice is a life saver for me. As always, thanks Newegg!

Exceed expectations
Pros: These speakers were purchased to replace a 5.1 Altec Lansing system for my desktop. I loved the AL units but their time had come. I didn't expect a great deal from speakers that cost $20 + change but was I surprised. I believe this system sounds every bit as good as the units they replaced. The sound and the range are phenomenal, especially for their size and price. The remote volume control and headphone/microphone jacks are an especially nice feature. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. Logitech products have never disappointed me.
Cons: None.

Nice sound for the $$
Pros: Great little system for the office, really good sound for the $$. Have purchased other Logitech speakers and still working fine. As always Newegg shipping was excellent.

Pros: Great little speakers for the money. Nice amount of bass and crisp highs. Loud enough to hear over vacuum cleaner. I use them with my Zune mp3 player in my bedroom.
Cons: None, worth the $25 bucks.

Excellent Sound
Pros: These Speakers are sleek, small but powerful. The sound quality is excellent, Logitech really packaged this well.
Cons: Not to sure about volume control. Its nice to be able to move it around but might just be another cluter on the desk.
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks. Shipping was fast. five stars for Newegg

Great! speakers
Pros: Great speakers Way outperform what I expected from 20$ speakers Even bought my GF one cause she liked it that much and thats saying quite a bit as she's an ID major
Cons: Cords are a bit short but nothing huge
Other Thoughts: Has a nice Mic input on the volume control (so you don't have to plug the mic straight into the computer)

Logitech S-220 17 Watts 2.1 Multimedia Speaker
Pros: Ok , for anyone that would want to keep cost down and get decent sound these are the babys. I cant believe how good they sound for the price. I use them on my laptop and they work great.
Cons: Cords a little short for speakers but no biggy.
Other Thoughts: Enough bass to get some good sound and the small speakers sound good too. If you want to fill a big room up with a hard thump forget these. Use them for a small area or just spark up that laptop into 90 percent better sound they are awesome! I dont think your going to find a better sounding speaker system for this price!!

Good quality if it works
Pros: Excellent quality for the price and size, the first time I plugged them in I was impressed by what I got. Of course this is not going to be equal to a high end expensive set, but while it works it can put out a lot of sound.
Cons: After about a month or two after buying these I noticed that one of the speakers was not working. I also found out that this was a problem faced by other customers. When I went to logitechs website for help, I found it nearly impossible to find this system on the support page as it did not identify this model. Finally I managed to come across the foldout instruction manual PDF which is practically useless.
Just today I found out part of my problem when I pulled out the jack and was wiggling it around and it made a connection with what I presume to be a loose contact. Unfortunately when I fix one speaker the other one goes dead.
Other Thoughts: I treat my electronics well, handle them carefully, and keep them clean. Still, this speaker system broke after 1 month. Also, the Logitech support for their speakers has left me wondering whether I can trust in their products, despite the previous luck I have had in the past. My suggestion is to at least spend a few extra bucks on a 2.1 system that will last.

Solid Product, Excellent Price, Superior Service
Pros: * Full, loud, crisp sound, great bass (Performs very well while listening to music or videos, playing games, or using Skype. The sound definition is SUPERB considering the price. Listening to music is a pleasure.)
* Slim low profile design (The subwoofer is a slim 3.5"x7"x10", and the two speakers make a very small footprint on your desk)
* VERY convenient wired satellite control module (This was a major selling point for me. The 2" diameter module has both a mic and a headphone jack, an on/off switch, and the top of the whole module functions as a very well designed rotating volume knob.)
* Sufficient cord length (I was able to comfortably stretch the speakers and control model to the desk while leaving the subwoofer on my printer stand several feet away.)
Cons: None at all that I've found as short time user. I've already ordered another.
Other Thoughts: For the price, you simply can not beat these, and I'd venture that it even outperforms some of the more expensive ($40-$60) range sets.
OUTSTANDING service from Newegg yet again. I have developed very high expectations of Newegg and they've never let me down. They gave me free three day shipping for this product and it came in two even though it's right in the middle of the holiday season. Their prices are excellent, shipping is superb, and customer service is professional. I never order anywhere else, unless they simply do not have a specific product.

Not bad
Pros: Nice speakers for the money. Not going to blow you away with a lot of power. Reasonable sound from a three speaker set. I also have the x-540 set and they are much louder and also more expensive. Dont expect these to perform like their bigger brother, however they do sound nice. I bought for my sons laptop to play music in his bedroom. They should be perfect for that.
Cons: none

Good deal.
Pros: Quite the low price, made by Logitech, doesn't clutter up the desk.
Cons: As expected, the remote is somewhat fragile-looking, and too much bass makes the small base rattle. Not an issue for a budget speaker system.
Other Thoughts: Sound quality is satisfactory. Too high volume or too much bass diminishes the quality, but again this isn't a top end sound system.

BLOWN AWAY!
Pros: These speakers are awesome!!! If someone told me this set was $60 dollars i would believe them. After setting up (see other thoughts) i started playing a dvd rip of star trek 2009. The crisp sound of the french horn brought tears to my eyes that it was so good (jk but same idea). The bass is very well defined as well. I have it turned all the way up and its very balanced.
I like the spinny wheel for volume control and on off switch. Its soo much better then having it on one of the speakers. Most of the time, you have to hold the speaker with one hand so you can turn the dials because the speaker is to light to do with only one hand. You can manage the settings with only one hand. :D
Cons: Only nit picks:
Unwrapping everything was somewhat a pain. Of course you only do it once, but every tiny thing had a bag around it. Be green!
Other Thoughts: I might be a litte biased because of what hardware i was coming from, i before i was using a set of 2.0 speakers. One of them was blown out. To get "stereo" sound, i had the built in speakers on my monitor going as well. Those speakers were HORRIBLE. Only there to make sound.
***setup***
just to sum everything up that the manual says in a few sentences, the regular speakers plug ONLY into the sub. The jack should have been marked better because its black and the sub is all black too. Then plug the lead from the sub into the computer. The spinny thing goes somewhere that you can reach. i just thought this would save someone like 10min of reading. :D
In the end, if your not a sound engineer, this 2.1 set delivers great sound for a super low price. Highly recommend it.

Great sound for the size
Pros: These speakers have awesome sound for their size. They can quite loud without distortion. The mic and earphone jack on the remote are a plus.
Cons: I keep losing the right side speaker. Have to play with the remote volume control to get stereo back. Sub volume is on the back of the subwoofer which is rather inconvenient. The remote does not control headphone volume.
Other Thoughts: Even with the aforementioned problems, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent!
Pros: Small size, external volume control knob you can place on any surface, crisp & powerful for the price!
Cons: the control for the sub-woofer is located on the sub-woofer. Could be a better idea to provide a small knob along with the external volume control knob
