Great Price, Looks sorta disappointing sound
Pros: They look great! Cheap Separate piece for headphones and volume. Not too big
Cons: Sound is pretty quiet. Bass is also sort of disappointing.
Other Thoughts: Got these for $20. They were a great deal and I do recommend them if you are looking for something cheap and casual. Just don't get your hopes up as the sound is sorta weak.

Pros: Easy on the wallet.
Cons: Speakers rattle, even at low volumes, effectively ruining the aural experience. Are they defective? They sure don't look like it. No visible damage.
Other Thoughts: I just wanted an affordable set of speakers, nothing fancy. I'm obviously not an audiophile, but the rattling is impossible to ignore. To be honest, I wish I had sprung for a ~70 dollar pair. You get what you pay for, but it seems like I should have paid about 20 dollars less for the quality I got. And anyway, even if they *were* 20 bucks cheaper, I wouldn't have bought them in the first place. I'm not THAT cheap.

Great sound
Pros: Sounds great for such a low price. Very simple setup, and nice cable management.
Cons: The bass is kinda of weak, you'll hear it after you turn your volume close to max though. Kind of wished they were better but for the price I paid, I find them to be good enough.
Other Thoughts: I bought it somewhere else for a cheaper price. Save yourself some money and shop around.

Great quality
Pros: Good bass, gets pretty loud, nice color, durable, easy installation.
Cons: Careful with the little base-bubble thingy, once pushed it on accident you have to go through some pretty complicated surgery to fix it, although you normally can't see it and it doesn't make any different to the sound quality whether it is there or not.
Other Thoughts: I got this for Christmas and my mother told me they were almost $100 and I believed her until I found it on Newegg.

Price to Performance, Amazing
Pros: Performance Cost Simplicity Controls
Lots of controls so you don't have to move much from your chair. (bad thing? Laziness...)
Cons: Absolutely none at the moment. I just got them hooked up and I'm already jamming out to my tunes.
Satellite speaker cord length? Not really a big deal, but a little more would have been great. ; )
Other Thoughts: Compared to the other Speaker sets I've owned and maintained, these are really good. Price to Performance comparison can't be matched. Go ahead and pick up a pair once newegg gets some more in.

Very Good for the Price
Pros: These speakers are surprisingly good for the price. They're decent for gaming, good for movies, music, and other things. They're pretty powerful for being so small. It matches my case colors, too. :)
Cons: The only con I can think of are the fact that the bass isn't terribly dynamic. It just lets out its one pulse and that's pretty much it. That and the speaker bezels are dust and lint magnets, but that's not huge.
Other Thoughts: I think these speakers are worth it if you're just looking for something you can have until you can get better ones or for a workstation. Good buy.

Great for the money
Pros: Great sound for the relatively inexpensive speakers. I don't play games but enjoy listening to online radio or CD's and these are perfect...
Cons: Hard to knock especially for the money.

Great for 20 bucks!
Pros: They were 20 bucks. There loud enough for my tiny bedroom, in my shoe box apartment. They are better than wearing head phones. Im not into movies to much but I stream the news and science documentaries once in awhile so they fit my needs.
Cons: The bass is not very dynamic. Pretty much you get bass, or non, but once again my apartment is like a closet and they beat wearing head phones.
Other Thoughts: Ive heard the speakers are alittle fragile and there is nothing protecting the subwoofer speaker so dont kick it. Once again great for small spaces where you dont want to annoy the neighbors, I wouldnt pay more than 20 bucks though. Wait for a sale.

Four eggs, and I'll explain why.
Pros: Bought two sets of these - one for my wife's computer and one for my file server. For the price, not bad - bass is mid- to low-range quality, and they get loud enough for web-surfing or showing off the occasional video or song.
Cons: Not loud enough for enthusiasts. Cords are also too short and easily tangled.
Other Thoughts: If you want booming bass and screeching treble, spend more than $25 on a 2.1 system. For the cost, these do what they're supposed to do.

Very Poor Speakers
Pros: Hard to find any.
Cons: Poor frequency response. Very low volume output, even with volume control set at maximum.
This set of speakers does not compare favorably at all with any of the other three sets of 2.1 speakers that I own. If I had it to do over, I definitely would not buy them, nor can I recommend them to anyone else. The only thing they are likely to be an improvement on is the speakers that are built into a flat panel monitor or TV.
Other Thoughts: I have had other Logitech speakers (X-240 and X-540) for the last couple years. I also have a 2.1 set of a different brand that is used with a Zen MP3 player and a 2.1 set of another brand that is used with my LCD TV. The first set of X-240's had to be replaced under warranty. and I have a relatively minor issue with the replacement set, but aside from this, I have been fully satisfied with all of these other speakers. Unfortunately, I definitely cannot say this for these LS21 speakers. I wish I could.

Pros: There really are no pros, its a very basic package and doesn't even match up to the other speakers in it's price range.
Cons: Sound can't go very high.

Price:Performance
Pros: Very nice set. It's under 30 dollars (Got Free Shipping!).
Great quality for the price, normally I'd pay around 40 for this.
This Set Really captures one area however, Bass Guitar. It truly vibes through these speakers. My XA2021's are jealous.
Cons: Although it's just under par in comparison to my XA2021's, it does the job.
VERY VERY Quiet. MY XA's level is twice that of the LS21's. In windows I had to set the Front (XA) to 50, with the rear (LS21) to 100. Quality compensates.
Other Thoughts: I liked these enough to include these for someone I just built a computer for.

No bad at all
Pros: It is a cheap speaker system that gets the job done. No more and no less.
Cons: Newegg did a horrible job packing the box. But in no way is that connected with the logitech product. I have bought a lot of products from Newegg and this was the only time so far that Newegg really dropped the ball in the area of packaging.
Other Thoughts: The system needs to be placed at full to get some booming sound. But face it these things are not meant to be perfect. They are less than 30 bucks how good would you expect them to be. For 30 dollars they definitely deserve 5 eggs it is not like you are purchasing a BOSE system hear. The bottom line it they make sound and they do it cheaply and given the price they deserve 5 out of 5.

Best sound for price
Pros: The satelites do highs very well, and an adequate job with the mids. The adjustable base level on the sub really allows you to finetune a balanced sound for your layout. Also the little "cable management" channels on the back of the satelites really works to keep the wires in check.
Cons: I wish the sub had some sort of cable management hookups as well... Oh and the biggest downside is that the speakers are exposed, on the sub and the satelites, I wish there was some protection.
Other Thoughts: These are the first PC speaker set that I did not regret buying immediately after using, not that the sound was so overwhelming, but for the price it sounds really great! Now I only have to resist touching the shiny driver caps, they are like a big red button that says "do not push". That was mean of the manufacturer to make them that way ;)

very low sound
Pros: It looks nice on my desk, newegg had it at my door the very next day with free shipping!
Cons: This set of speakers are worst than some of the cheapo brands I have owned the sound is low and if you try to use headphones with this product you better have really good hearing.
Other Thoughts: Had to RMA this product, should have listened to my fellow newegg reviewers,do yourself a big favor and spend a few bucks more for a bit more power.

Perfect Speakers For The Price
Pros: These speakers are perfect for the price. What more can I say?
Haven't used them on full blast since I only use them for Movies and World Of Warcraft, But they work more than fine for me.
Cons: Cables can be longer and not attached to one another, But its $25 so I didn't expect much.
Other Thoughts: I win, Newegg wins =D

Attractive but weak
Pros: Nice looking. Pretty well constructed. Volume/power control can be placed away from the speakers.
Cons: Very weak amplification.
Other Thoughts: I purchased these to plug in an MP3 player, smartphone, etc. - I liked that it had a wired volume controller that could be placed remotely from the speakers so I could put them up out of the way. No matter what portable device I've plugged into it, the volume is so quiet that it's almost impossible to hear the music with any clarity, especially if there's ANY other noise in the room. I haven't hooked them up to a computer, that wasn't their intended purpose, so I don't know if they are suitable for that (I have a feeling it would be an underwhelming performer there as well). They have decent sound at a quiet volume for the price, but nothing to write home about. I am going to have to purchase another set of speakers and maybe my 8-year old will be able to get by with these (it may actually be useful to have a severe volume limit for that).

best bang for your buck
Pros: Logitech does and delivers big things.
Worthy product for the price you're paying. Don't make the same mistake as me by going into your local Electronics store, if you don't have enough $ to spend, but looking for something out of ordinary, New Egg
Cons: It's not CRAZY high, but it will do.
Other Thoughts: If you want to enjoy your music on another level, but find items such as these to be a waste of money, next time you go out for dinner think about what you'd rather eat. A piece of steak with some mashed potatoes on the side, or invest $30 in something that will last you much longer than a one night stand.
ya!!!!!!!!!!!lol

Good for the price
Pros: The price is right for a 2.1 system. It's not overpowering, but the audio response is good for the most part.
Cons: The construction quality is ok, but I had to fiddle with the audio jacks to get both front speakers to work at full power. The jack receiver was loosely seeded in the subwoofer.
Other Thoughts: I bought these as summer temps because I didn't want to haul my Z-5500 system home. Of course they don't hold a candle to my main system, but they are decent for the price I paid.
And 1 day deliver from Newegg's Edison DC, good job guys! You rock!!!

Decent Speakers, but unshielded
Pros: These speakers look good, and they have decent sound.
Cons: I reviewed this speaker system about a week ago, and reviewing it again.
The satellites are unshielded, unfortunately. This means that whenever the speakers are on, they interfere with my wireless mouse. Both the receiver for my mouse and the speakers themselves have relatively short cords, so unfortunately I have very few arrangement options. I can only use my mouse in two ~20 sq. inch areas on my desk because of the speakers: everywhere else puts one of the speakers directly in between my mouse and its receiver, causing the mouse not to work.
Turning the speaker system off helps, but not completely.
Also, a 7 watt system is nice for power savings, but it won't put out that much sound. Just so you know.
Other Thoughts: Decent budget speakers. I bought them because they had free shipping and Logitech is a good brand. If I were buying another set of computer speakers, though, I'd get a different pair.
Recommended for use with wired mice.

They Did Exactly What I Needed
Pros: Decent sound (at this price point), handy access to volume control and headphone jack.
Cons: Subwoofer is a bit bulky, I don't particularly care for running all the wiring through the sub.
Other Thoughts: I bought these for an iMac that the sound chipset decided to die on. I picked up a low cost USB sound adapter and plugged these into it. Considering Apple wanted close to $1000 to replace the logic board in the iMac, I'd say it's money well spent.

Decent speakers
Pros: Adequate speakers. The wired remote is nice, and so is the headphone plug. The speakers look pretty cool, too.
Cons: These speakers don't do well at high volume. I've read other reviews saying that they're easy to blow: while I haven't done that, I could see it happening.
Other Thoughts: Decent speakers for the price. Don't turn them up too loud.

Good for Price
Pros: Setup is easy, they sound good when not too loud. Relatively clear sound for small speakers. The volume and power control box is pretty nifty. Overall, these are a good buy for someone looking for a cheap in price but quality sound system.
Cons: Don't turn the sub all the way up.
Other Thoughts: Shipping was fast, Newegg rocks, but... these speakers are nothing compared to a legit sound system. Great for budget builds.

Not Great!!
Pros: Cheap, free shipping, got here fast.
Cons: Sound quality not very good. No power. Bad connection between speakers and sub, have to jiggle wire to get it to sound right.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Actually, I have a cheap pair of speakers with no sub that sound just as good if not better than these. If you buy these, don't expect alot. If you want them for music, spend a lttle more for something better. Newegg is great though. Love this site!!

Decent punch for reasonable price
Pros: -Wires are more than long enough -Comes with a movable volume control with a kill switch -Volume control itself has a headphone jack (nice if you have shorter headphone cord) -Stylish gloss black appearance -Small -Decent bass -If you're using higher bit rate audio (ie FLAC), they for the most part do wonders
Cons: -Single audio outs on both speakers -Tend to require your volume knob to be turned up to hear in comparison to other speaker (if you plug your headphones directly to the normal audio out, you will notice the volume is MUCH higher than if you plug it into the jack on the volume control) -Won't fully flex what your sound card is capable of, but gets close to it
Other Thoughts: It's hard enough to find 2.0 speakers worth their price in this price range, let alone a solid set of 2.1 speakers. Unfortunately the Logitech X-230s were discontinued, which were far superior for a similar price. In fact I'd argue that the Logitech X-230 speakers are the best 2.1 speakers I've ever heard, and the new version of them, the X-240, is watered down in quality greatly.
This leaves one yearning for something else. These speakers won't make up for the lack of quality in your mp3s, they won't give you the make-believe surround sound feel the x-230s did, but they still do a fair job. Paired with a solid piece of audio hardware they will leave you satisfied based on what you paid for them.

Cheap, but not horrible.
Pros: They actually don't sound bad at all. Some obvious spikes due to the limited tech but unless you want very loud booming sound, they work quite well.
Cons: Vulnerable. I almost put a finger through the sub just removing it from the wrapper.
It's not going to get very loud before distortion.
Other Thoughts: For a single-user desk system, it's quite good for the price. It would be hard to find such a cheap system that sounds much better. But if you want great sound or power, you'll have to continue looking.

Fine-for what they are
Pros: I bought these things for a user at work that needed basic speakers for some internet training stuff they're doing. These things are dirt cheap, they don't look bad, they don't take up much room and they don't sound awful. They're not high quality speakers, by any stretch of the imagination. But they're really not bad. They're certainly better than most-if not all-2 speaker systems in this price range.
Frequency response, according to my ears and my tone generator, drops off sharply below about 45Hz and above 16KHz. This isn't a bad range, especially considering that the "sub" only has something like a 4" driver in it-the ported enclosure helps it out quite a bit.
All in all, while they're not going to pass themselves off as having excellent sound quality, they're perfectly acceptable for most people (at least until they hear a real set of speakers with the right amp to back them up) and they're cheap. I doubt you can do any better in this price range.
Cons: Ported sub enclosure results in a pretty good spike in response at ~50-55Hz, it trails off above and below that. This is to be expected, and is a characteristic inherent with at least some ported enclosures. I doubt it'll be a problem for most people, and in fact it may be a benefit because it can help hide the fact that you'll never get window-rattling bass out of a single 4" driver, no matter what you do to it.
Build quality isn't all that great... the connector on the back of the sub for the satellites to plug into on the unit I got is slightly loose, causing the left channel to drop out if you wiggle the connector. Kinda to be expected given the price, I suppose. It's not bad enough to warrant returning the unit but it's worth noting for people that are having these things shipped and would have to ship them back for a RMA if they needed one.

My Logitech Experience
Pros: Easy Set Up, No Software needed, Stable and good Sound Quality with on-board sound chip. Loud and no Almost no crackling at Max Volume. Good Looks, I bought this as an experiment after my Creative Speakers died and was very impressed. First logitech speakers bought and love it.
Cons: The bass controller is on the back of the subwoofer but not that big of an issue for me because I put is behind my monitor.
Other Thoughts: Highly Recommended because of it's good package and performance while under $30

Pros: needed cheap sub to go with my comp, and this worked out perfectly. soudns great with the Koss speakers i have
Cons: speakers that come with although look nice arent very good at all, i blew them messin around with the sub 10 minutes after i got it, luckily i dont care kuz i have better speakers.
Other Thoughts: although i didnt like them at all, the speakers that come with might be good, but blasting Death metal on full volume will blow them really quick, they didnt get nearly as loud as i play my music tho, and my speakers handle everything fine

Good Price nice sound
Pros: I needed a cheap speaker system and this fit the bill. Very surprised by the full rich sound this delivers with a Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme 7.1 PCI-E

Impressive
Pros: Very impressed by the sound this speaker set can put out. The subwoofer, though small, can put out quite some bass. No problems with static here.
Cons: Can get distorted when turned up. Depends on what you are listening to.
Other Thoughts: Bought these for a friend. He didn't need anything spectacular when it came to sound, but this speaker set wowed him.

Packs a punch!
Pros: Little speakers and little subwoofer pack quite a punch. I'm not a sound enthusiast, but it serves my gaming needs quite well. Speakers are quite loud and sound great. Very good buy, fits my system perfectly. Sleek-looking as well.
Cons: None

Precautions
Pros: Fantastic Sound Quality for the money (even though I purchased from elsewhere paying 20 and not getting the sub) the Audio Jacks on the Satellites is EXTREMELY useful, and the little gap under the speaker between the feet, great cable organizer function LOL.
Cons: I don't know about the Sub as I didn't get one, but the satellites can't handle much power... Mine Blew out at 75% volume level (both the speaker volume control and my master volume control)
Other Thoughts: This Product is fantastic, and I would highly recommend purchasing these speakers... JUST BE AWARE OF YOUR AUDIO LEVELS AND DO NOT TRY TO USE THEM TO LISTEN TO MUSIC AT A HIGH VOLUME, 1 time is all it takes to blow these little things away.

Good For What I Need
Pros: Sound is good, overall. Not great but good enough for what I need these for. Since I live with other people that don't like to be up late I needed sound that wasn't gonna be too loud. So I don't really need these speakers to bump the house down.
I'm using this mainly for speakers for my PS3. So especially needing to bump SOCOM or GTA4 isn't needed.
Solid bass, and can be adjusted.
Sleek looking speakers and quite small. And I'm actually kind of surprised at what this system can put out. You wouldn't expect it to be as loud but I can hear this system 2 stories below and about half volume.
Overall I'm kind of impressed, especially for what I intended this to be for. Definately worth the $25 or so. Shipping bumps it up like $12 though. But not too bad still.
Cons: Hard to get to the bass adjustment knob since it's on the back of the sub.
Everything is small. But that's okay.
Can get distorted at high volumes. Expected though.
Other Thoughts: Overall I'm happy with it. If you need this for something like I do...it's well worth it.
I'm using this for my PS3 because: I use a 24" Acer monitor with HDMI for my PS3 and run DVI through it as my main monitor for my PC. So when I play PS3 I have to switch outputs on my big 1998 Sony tuner, which has VERY VERY loud fan noise and puts out an extreme amount of power, heat, and loudness.
So I looked for something that has solid sound and okay bass, and can play quietly where as my other set up, isn't so quiet.
Good job on NewEgg for getting it to me quickly. Packaging sucked but oh well, I'm synical because I work at a shipping/packaging store. lol

Bleh
Pros: Oooooh shiny
Cons: Bad out of box. Returned them (not to the egg, picked them up at a brick and mortar). Got a new pair. Failed again.
Thought I had a bad output on my computer, so I hooked them up to a mp3 player and another computer, still bad.
Other Thoughts: Quite the disappointment. The bass seemed to be somewhat decent, but anything over 1khz and over caused the satellite speakers to rattle. Oh well.
Go newegg!

amazing value... expensive sipping
Pros: It was amazingly cheap and has good sound to a certain point. Bass and treble is clear for most use.
Cons: The shipping cost was more than 1/2 the cost of the speakers but thats not really newegg's fault.
Other Thoughts: The sub is much smaller than I expected, but it still give a good kick, and the cords are a bit too numerous for me, but other than that a solid product for the price.

Unrealistic expectations
Pros: I think some of the other voters have some unrealistic expectations. The sound does distort at about half volume but even that is pretty loud. For $23 speakers I doubt you could find much better. I'm very pleased with these.
Cons: If you want great sound, these aren't for you. Check for something a little more expensive

Not too bad
Pros: Nice speakers. Fairly clear sound. Great price.
Cons: Distortion starts at volumes lower than I'd expected.
Other Thoughts: They don't get as loud as I'd hoped, but they're very low priced desktop speakers, so I'm still happy.

Reflects price
Pros: They do their job and are small in size so they are easy to arrange. The wired remote is very convenient and has plenty of wire. Low power consumption.
Cons: Only 4Watts, so they aren't THAT loud, however they do have a decent amount of volume, especially for the price. The bass seems weak as you have to actually try and listen to see if it is working, but again, you can't argue with the price.
Other Thoughts: This sound system is best suited for laptops or portable PCs. If you are aiming for setting up sound for a fixed PC that you don't plan on moving, then I recommend you buy something more expensive than this set.

Good Speakers
Pros: Clear sound for the price. Has some kick on the sub. Over all a good product for the money.
Cons: When you turn it off there is this strange humming noise from the sub.
Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom x4 9950, Asus M3A78-T, Antec 300 Case, Antec Trio 650, G.SKILL, 2x4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800, Seagate Barracuda 500gb, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, 2x Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4, ASUS VK222H Black 22

Average
Pros: Sound quality is good, can’t expect much for the price.
Cons: I think having the subs point down is bad, mostly since I have carpet.
Other Thoughts: As always Logitech making good reliable products at an affordable price.

Great Speakers!
Pros: These speakers are awesome looking! They look great with any modern setup. They also have a great sound, great for playing games and listening to music and movies. Loud enough for the average user. Nice Bass!!!
Cons: The speakers have a "hiss" or a slight fuzziness to them when playing music. Nothing a good sound card can't take care of, but a con none the less. They can go loud, but not head banging loud...
Other Thoughts: The "hiss" is more apparent the louder they are (which is to be expected) and is a little more than most speakers.
However, I would still recommend them to any one who is looking for a good $20 speakers. I got way more than I expected for the price! Logitech did not disapoint
