Pros: Great speakers good bass response. Overall great sound and they look good on my desk too.

Pros: Good sound for the wattage, compact, attractive, easy to relocate.

Cons: Lacking in the mid-range, ~ 500-1000 Hz. Recommend using with equalizer.

Rating + 5 Amazing speakers for the price.


Pros: When I plugged these speakers in, I was amazed at the windows start up sound. I've been using a 10 year old 2.1 system that came with a Dell Dimension 8200. This upgrade overwhelmed me. I'm a musician, so I have an ear for the right sound. I started up Itunes, and started listening to my favorite songs again. These speakers are great! Then, I decided to see how they worked for gaming. I started up COD 4, and they are perfect quality. The bass from the grenade explosions just blow you away, and the highs from shooting the guns will put you in awe. The volume is pretty impressive as well. You'll hear things you've never heard before in games. I'd recommend these speakers to anyone who wants a great 2.1 system and doesn't want to break their wallet.

Cons: None, I love these speakers. I love Logitech.

Pros: Great sound, stylish, compact, headphone breakbox is a must have for the office. Compact sub fits just about anywhere. This is about the best sound you will get at this price point.

Cons: As always, wish the cords were longer for more placement options. There not short, just wish they were longer.

Pros: I added in small set of jbl speakers to this set that I bought at the thrift store. I have been using them all day everyday for more than two years. They still work fanstatic. I believe that they have a good mid range now since I added the xtra speakers. But they are not to loud, That is good for me

Pros: Performance to price ratio is quite high on this one. Music sounds crisp and loud. Bass is quite sufficient.

Cons: They don't perform like a set of $300 Bose?

Other Thoughts: For seventy bucks your not gonna do much better than this. Sure, they won't fill a football stadium with sound but for music and games they will fill any average sized room with gusto. As for the exposed cones everyone seems so concerned with, I feel your pain. I've always assaulted any new speakers I buy with a fork just to see how well they hold up. I had to skip it this time and I'm pretty upset about it! Seriously, who cares? They look cool!

Pros: Clear, crisp sound, bass level control, and an on/off button on controller. The feet on the sub make it feel like it's actually bolted directly onto my floor mat in comparison to my old sub which I had to constantly reposition back to the correct place from kicking it around all the time.

Cons: None for me.

Pros: Nice bass for a small room, nice sound for hip-hop or R&B.

Cons: Weak mids, speakers distort at high volumes.

Other Thoughts: I saw these on display at Target (newegg way cheaper) after I ordered them, and tested them next to some Bose speakers also on Demo. All the Bose really slaughtered them, with less distortion, much better mid range, etc. Because these are $40 cheaper than the cheapest Bose, I still give them high marks. (They are DECENT) but the reviews here make them sound a little better than they really are.

Pros: Excellent value. The speakers deliver reasonably good sound.

Cons: The cables and/or the amplifier are unshielded. This is a problem for those with 3G cell phones that emit some interference that can be heard through these speakers. If a phone is anywhere within 3 feet of the cabling, the remote, or the "box", an incoming call will provide interesting sound effects.

Other Thoughts: One of the speaker stands arrived slightly bent to one side.

The sound field is clearly not complete nor even, but I've yet to run into speakers at anywhere near this price point that would do better.

Pros: Crisp sound when playing music. Bass is just the right amount, not overpowered nor underpowered. Clear mids and highs.

Cons: Blue LED on wired controller is too bright, but this is a minor issue. I blocked it with a piece of black electric tape.

Other Thoughts: For all peripheral manufacturers that are rave-lights crazed, please consider using softer and dimmer LEDs. Bright LEDs on peripherals can be unaestheic and annoying.

Pros: Speakers have a very nice appearance.... sexy!

Cons: Package was shipped in retail packaging, and arrived with one end looking like it was about to burst open. Inside, there isn't much padding for the components. The big problem that made this set recieve 1 egg is that the remote didn't come with my set, which is required to power on/off the device and adjust volume. It probably fell out of the packaging during shipment or perhaps it was never included... at the end of the day either Logitech, NewEgg, or UPS made a mistake and landed me with some useless speakers.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg customer support said they didn't have any spare remotes to ship so I had to RMA. After reading other reviews I decided to just get a refund and buy some other speakers. This item is packaged very poorly and I didn't want to risk another problem. I appreciate NewEgg's fast customer service response time and their reps are very nice in the email communication... still sucks now that my perfect record of ordering with zero problems from NewEgg has come to an end.

Pros: Everything about these are amazing. All the other good reviews are right on. I plugged them in before I installed my sound card and they sounded amazing. Installing my sound card only made things even better :D (duh!) For the price, these things are amazing. Owned for a month now and they have done nothing but make me listen to music whenever I have my computer on. The remote is very nice.

Cons: If the remote had a spot for a mic, this thing would be 100% perfect.

Pros: where to begin. I've had these for years and i have only grown more fond of them. Like the others have said the sound in all ranges is incredible. I have them in my apartment and they can shake the whole place but can also be soft but still clear. great bang for the buck! my brother has the "high end" brand's offering for a 2.1 system and these sound just as good! haha what a sucker.

Pros: Clean bass, clean high notes, everything clean. Purchased these from a retail store for one-hundred twenty bucks only to see this price here way after. I love this set because of the easy to use volume control and you can even detach the speakers from their stands and wall mount them if you felt the need.

Cons: The on-desk speakers have no cover so if you have any fast flying sharp objects, it has a possibility of puncturing them, but I would assume that's not a problem for most users.

The only real con is the sub-woofer has this really low pitched buzz sound even when the unit is turned off. This can be fixed by unplugging it totally, but that is truly inconvenient.

Other Thoughts: Even with the one real con, the most I would deduct out of the 5 eggs would be .5 eggs.

Pros: At half volume, speakers are quite loud, distortion is virtually non-existent. The control is quite useful, the bass is stellar, and the price is just right.

Cons: Absolutely none except if you want to drop a grand on speakers, yeah they'll beat these pair out.

Other Thoughts: The tweeters are a bit vulnerable, the material isn't made to be poked or prodded like younger children like to do.

The only possible con for these speakers is lack of full surround sound support, but that's not what these speakers are really meant for, to be honest.

Cons: Well, it doesn't work. The only way to get sound out of it is to have the input jack only 1/4 of the way in. If you push the jack all the way in, you get no sound. I didn't pay good money to have to use tape (that requires constant retaping) to keep the input jack from falling out since you can't put it all the way in. Ridiculous. There's $80 down the toilet. Thanks for selling a useless product, Newegg, you did it again.

Pros: Good bass, decent sound system for the price.

Cons: A little tinny when it comes to snares and other high-pitched percussion, but not tinny enough to take away an egg considering that it's a $70 sound system.

Other Thoughts: I'm not quite sure what these other people are talking about when it comes to fragility in the satellites. The fake speakers are easy to poke in? I'm sorry, but I can't say that poking is part of normal usage, therefore should not be considered in a review. All four fake speakers have survived perfectly fine (in a college dorm room). What does that say about the 'fragility'?

Pros: Satellites weight keeps them where you put them. Easy set-up. Deep bass. Convenient, well thought out 2.1 speaker system. Remote has all controls and most importantly the power switch.

Cons: Not any.

Other Thoughts: This 2.1 speaker system is one of the nicest I've owned for the price. I'm normaly partial to Altec Lansing but, these have changed my mind. As most media players come with graphic equalizers you can tune these to sound very nice. I can only imagine how nice the Z-2300s sound!
As mentioned, the power switch is on the remote and not on the back of the sub-woofer wich is usually in a hard to reach location.

Pros: Great range--fantastic bass.
Wired remote with headset input is a handy feature.
Loud enough for just about any room.

Pros: Great size of all the speakers. amazing bass. I looked at other places and this is the chested place to get it.

Cons: the only thing that I can think of that is kinda a con is when you have the speakers WAY too high and nothing is playing you hear a hiss but all you have to do is shut it off. you will have to clean/dust them all the time for they are a glossy black. but you should clean everything anyway

Pros: The bass with these speakers is what you would expect from a $400.00 pair of speakers. It is just absolutely amazing. Considering the Price of around 70-80 dollars. They are very stylish looking speakers and come in white and black so it's good for either a Mac or Windows. You won't be disappointed with these speakers.

Cons: None at all. I've tried to look for a Con, but I can't find anything.

Pros: Price, size and the sound. These babies are sweet as all can be. The sound is amazing! The desk speakers are of great quality, and the sub rattles the keys on my key board. You can feel the emotions when gaming. I would of gave them 6 eggs if I could of. The desk speakers are not like most 3 peace sets where the sub is a lot better than the speakers, they are just as great if not better. I just love em.

Cons: Don't crank em up if you live in a trailer park your neighbors get upset.

Pros: Good full sound, at least for computer speakers. I really like the large volume control dial on the remote, with very smooth movement and no static. Sounds infinitely better than the $12 junk I was using.

Cons: Highs not too crisp, bass sorta boomy. Definitely not "transparent"! But really, shouldn't expect audiophile quality from mid-price computer speakers.

Other Thoughts: At NewEgg's price, these speakers are a great value. Perfect for bedroom, office, dorm room, music & movies, gaming etc.

Other Thoughts: i used these speakers for about a year and then replaced them with the 2300 set. i took the subwoofer unit apart for fun. the sub for this system is about 4 inches, not 8 inches like the sub would appear at first glance. on other sites (not newegg) i have seen this advertised as an 8" subwoofer. what you actually get is an 8" passive radiator which is just cardboard covered in black plastic, it is moved by the airflow of the 4" sub to act as an "additional speaker". there are also 2 passive radiators on the satellites themselves leaving only one actual speaker per satellite. these three speakers are just not loud enough considering the physical size of the system in my opinion. i seriously recommend the 2300's, you get 5 times the RMS wattage and they are THX certified. and they're only $20-40 extra (i got mine for $91 a while back with free shipping)

Pros: They hook up easily. I buy these for customers that want a little more than standard speakers and they are always amazed. I have some out there that are still fully functional after 5 years. Newegg Shipping as usual is the best. As a builder logitech products are generally the best bang for the buck.

Cons: For the price range nothing at all. If you are looking at screaming bass get the Z-2300 set.

Pros: Great highs and mids, awesome lows, color scheme, wired remote with aux and headphone inputs, can't go wrong with a great brand name as well.

Cons: None that I can think of at the moment.

Other Thoughts: Logitech came through with a perfect 2.1 system for people who want good highs and mids with perfect bass to go along with it, without having to spend a lot of money for either a higher end model (Z-2300) or a 5.1 system.
Also, Newegg rocks with shipping times. Ordered it Thursday, came Friday night. Great job Newegg!

Pros: Great volume and bass. Remote has everything you'd need handy, aux in/headphones out/bass control/volume control/power. For entry level computer speakers for the price you couldn't do better.

Cons: The two mains seem very line of sight oriented. I think this is how various reviews have come to such different conclusions. For sitting right in front of a desk they are magnificent, but as far as lighting up a large room area or multiple rooms they do not perform like a traditional sound system. I had an old stereo receiver with plain copper wire speakers, and I could crank it and enjoy the music pretty much throughout the whole house, where as with these if I step out into the hallway only the bass carries. The first thing that dies when not standing directly in front of them is the mid.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for speakers "for your computer" and not wanting to turn your computer into a sound system for your house, these are absolutely perfect. Also I think people's evaluations of the quality of 'mids and bass' could have a lot to do with the type of music they listen to. Whether it has good bass for rap style music, I have no idea, but for Metallica, Modest Mouse, Rise Against, or Rage Against The Machine they leave me overwhelmed.

Pros: This thing is bumpin. The sub is great even at low volumes, the bass adjustment is right on the volume control pad which is nice. small system that fits on your desk.

Pros: Good price.

Cons: One of the speakers did not work and I have to pay to ship the damm thing back. So I am out shipping of $20 and the speakers only cost $70 to begin with. Perhaps new egg or Logitech will refund the shipping but I doubt it.

Pros: Shipping was quick.

Cons: Product was not shipped in another box, but rather the retail packaging you would find in any store. During shipping the small speakers and remore were lost and so I called customer service. They advised me the only thing they could do is file a claim. They would reship the speakers and they advised me it would take up to 3 weeks.

Other Thoughts: I understand the loss is not their fault, but after all of the great customer service stories I have read I am really disappointed. The money I saved is no longer a savings because I am now waiting another 3 weeks for them...I could have just gone down the street to get them.

Rating + 1 Not Impressed with Customer Service


Pros: It showed up in the time they said it would.

Cons: The speakers were not shipped in another box, but only in the packaging you would find on a typical shelf. When we received them, the box was damaged and the remore and small speakers were missing. In calling customer service, I advised them of the problem. They filed a claim with the shipper, but told mer it would take about 3 weeks before I get replacement speakers. The customer service rep was very matter-of-fact with me, and not even willing to assist me further other than repeating that all I could do was wait.

Other Thoughts: With all the great reviews on this site and others about the customer service, I was not at all impressed with how my problem was handled, and now ahve to wait another three weeks for speakers. When this time is up, the money I saved by buying them through Newegg could have just been spent at a local store, and I would have my speakers now.

Pros: i have had this for at least 4 months and i hasnt dissapointed me at all the quality of these speakers is amazing! im using a stock motherboard sound card, so i cant wait to get a high-quality card. the crisp, clearness of these speakers is amazing, and the bass has a nice deep rumble for some songs, and it really packs a punch for those quick punching bassline songs. i highly reccomend them to anyone looking for great quality for a good price. ide even say that these speakers are better than some of theyre more expensive brethren. from experience. my dad owns some other 2.1 speakers and he paid around 80$ for his. and all he got were two speakers with all treble, hardly any middle. and a kruddyy box woofer. the woofer turned up rattles and when its not rattling u can barely hear it. so id say that i got a WAY better speaker system for a WAY cheaper price!
def worth the money.

Cons: only con i can find is that its not 5.1 and if your speakers are prone to damage, id get something to cover the sattelites. they have now covers of theyre own, theyre pretty sturdy, but the plastic of the speakers themselves are prone to anything sharp. dont plan to test this, just a thought. cons are insignificant to pros.

Other Thoughts: as soon as my friend (a fellow newegg user) saw my speakers and heard how great they sounded. he went to newegg and say the cheap price and ordered them. 3 days later i came over and say them on his computer.. i thought he had taken mine! turns out he thought that it was such a great deal for the qualits v price he went and got some himself! me and cameron highly reccomend these to anyone.

Pros: This set of speakers put the stock sound system in my 07 civic si to shame. Perfectly clear, volumous sound that isn't just loud. I tested the sub with a few different styles of music to see its responsiveness and it performs well reguardless of what style music you listen to.

The speakers are pretty sturdy and aren't chinsy like a lot of computer speakers out there. Very clean looking.

Cons: None that I can really think of. I don't care for when companies baggy the bulk of the cords and tape the bag around the cord. I would prefer if I just had to deal with twist ties, but thats not really a major issue.

Other Thoughts: I read another review speaking about the remote weight. It doesn't seem all that light to me. Compared to the weight of the speakers, I'd say its just fine.

I'm completely satisfied once again with my purchase from newegg.

Pros: These speakers are extremely clear and pretty precise throughout the sound spectrum. The lows are are satisfying but not overly ambitious. Excellent for gaming, music, and basic 2.1 video viewing. Well worth the purchase.

Cons: None really other than the look of the speakers themselves. Although the look of the front of the speakers looks good, Logitech should have used a speaker cloth so it could look more "finished" and give added protection from little curious hands . You either like it or you don't.

Pros: Small but powerful. Takes up little space but has great volume. Audio quality is fantastic. Aesthetically pleasing. Straightforward controls and setup. Very good value for the money!

Cons: None really. The only hardware audio controls are volume and bass, but you can't really expect more on a system at this price range. The audio quality is so good innately that it's not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I was in the market for a good 2.1 speaker set after my old (very expensive) 5.1 system finally needed to be retired. I saw these Logitech speakers on a Newegg promotional page, and I was amazed at how high a review rating it got. I figured, well, if that many people like it, it must be worth a try. Pros: Well defined high's & mid-range, and you can feel the woofer kick on the floor. The speakers have excellent separation of sound. You can actually hear the full sound of a note when a chord is hit.

Cons: None really, but you will probably have to adjust your equalizer to your own liking.

Other Thoughts: I tried these while watching a movie, and they blew me away. You don't need a home theater system when you have these. They also make a great addition when you have a house party. Just attach them to your laptop or Ipod and you are set fore the night.

Pros: Im going to start off by saying i bought these for my girlfriend's laptop (which i bought her too). Not only do they look great (she loves them) but they sound fantastic. Easy hookup to the laptop AND a Creative Xmod. When cranked at only half volume the 10x21 foot room SHAKES!

The bass sounds great.
The satellites sound awsome and crystal clear.
Wires are long enough for any setup.
Very sturdy feeling on all speakers.

Cons: The remote volume knob thingy is very light and its attached to a large heavy wire. If the wire moves at all, so will the volume remote. Very minor inconvenience. (No reason to move that wire to begin with lol).

Other then that, none.

Other Thoughts: Looking for a reliable, loud, clear, good bass 2.1 system? This is the one you want. I build PCs as a hobby, ive installed many soundcards, theater systems, etc. This is a great 2.1 system that wont disappoint. What are you waiting for? Click "Add to cart!"

Rating + 1 Stay away, go buy the Z-2300's!!!!!


Pros: Small size, Auxiliary input on the front, Nice finish with the black reflective plastic

Cons: Horrible sound! Bass can't hit very low and the speakers produce a lot of static.

Other Thoughts: So I recently moved to NYC and I had to pack light so I left my Logitech Z-2300 at home. The Z-2300 was was the best speakers I've ever owned (besides a surround sound but you get the idea) And only for $105!

So when I moved to NY I needed something to listen to my music to and play xbox, I figured I'd try these out since they were $40 cheaper than the Z-2300 and I generally like Logitech products.

WRONG, these are the worst speakers I've ever purchased. It produces so much static noise that I can barely like to my stuff for long before getting ****** off to the point where I can't take it anymore. The bass is boomy but doesn't hit at certain frequencies (Dillinger Escape Plan songs with digital bass hits are an example). I use an equalizer on my music players and it doesn't make a difference. Poorly constructed speakers

Do yourself a favor, spend the $40 more and buy the Z-2300's, you won't be disappointed!

Pros: This is a good speaker, no doubt. Sound quality is clear, and the bass is decent. Nice design.

Cons: The control is light, and the cord attached to it is stiff, so the control will get thrown around easily. I find the blue led light annoying, especially when your light is off.. it's bright. This is a 40 watt rms speaker set... speakers and sub, so don't expect it to shake any house because it won't. The speakers aren't loud. I also notice when you push the volume 80 - 100%, the sound may start to get a little off.

Other Thoughts: Take the cons into consideration before buying. If you're looking for more face, you're better off buying the 200 watt logitech system(z 2300) instead of this. But if i had to, i wouldn't hesitate to buy these speakers again.

Pros: I've been playing around with these speakers for a little while and I gotta say that they are without a doubt the best desktop speakers I've ever owned. Pros: Wow... Talk about bang for your buck. These things have amazing sound for the price. Heck, they have amazin sound for almost any price. Cable management is easy... They have a nice sleek techy look to them. Great!

Cons: I was going to take an egg of for this but then i though my desk is a little highish. I find that the remote cable is a little short... Like i said my desk is kind of high so that COULD be my problem. I also wish that the remote had a Mic slot in it too but for 69.99 i cant complain.

Pros: best value for price hands-down. Logitech is reliable, solid. Clear sound, bass is as powerful without fuzz as you can get in this price range. I can't even have it all the way up without pis'g off the neighbors above, below, and all the way down the hall in my condo unit.

Cons: i'm sick of pis'g off the neighbors!

Pros: These speakers and Subwoofer have great sound. Turned up all the way and still its crisp and clear!! Absolutely incredible.

Cons: The dishs on the cones of the speakers aren't tricked out with some chrome or just all three gray! Seriously, I couldn't find anything.

Other Thoughts: I've seen others say that they were disappointed with the level of sound, seriously? Have you checked the computer sound card, the volume level on the media player you are using? The level of volume is great. I mean, it doesn't compare to my 1000 watt Sony Surround Sound for the tv, but these speaker and sub are awesome for the price!

Pros: WOW. Am impressed with both the look and sound of this package. For this price you really couldn't do much better. Very well constructed and produces very clean sound. I especially enjoy the remote unit. My other set up was one where you had to almost stand up and lean over to fight with the volume knob. Rating + 4 Premium sound at budget price


Pros: Crisp full audio, well balanced sound with nothing over powering anything else, thundering bass and gets LOUD without any distortion until your eardrums are bleeding. Easily fills a large room with full, sharp, undistorted sound. Corded remote for easy volume control and power off, with a tone adjustment knob and headphone outputs on the remote.

Cons: First set had a DOA right speaker output. Newegg lived up to their excellent customer service though and RMA'd them no problem and even paid for shipping since the motherboard I also ordered was DOA and I had to pay to ship it back.

Other Thoughts: This seriously has to be one of the best sounding "budget" 2.1 speaker sets I've ever heard. Easily on par with speaker sets costing hundreds more, but for a fraction of the price. Sweet looks too, and I'd swear they were a designed match for my LCD monitors glossy frame. Look sharp, sound sharp, ease of use and cost pennies compared to high end competitors. What's not to love?!

Cons: sad that the remote is not wireless, but then again its not just a remote so its good.

Pros: Logitech is generous with cable lengths. Excellent sound quality. These replaced powered speakers (3 piece unit) that were good for voice (talk) only, and otherwise garbage, which I got as a freebie with a dvdrom drive some years ago.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I have formal training on 3 musical instruments and currently use a Yamaha keyboard. I listen to Classical (mostly Baroque Period) and New Age. Almost exclusively instrumental. These speakers let you hear every instrument and every nuance thereof, even though the response is 35 Hz - 20,000 Hz.

Pros: Amazing sound and bass. If you want amazing speakers for a decent price, get these. These are SO much better than my last pair of Altec Lansing speakers.

Cons: Extremely minor, but it might matter to some of you. The 2 desktop speakers and the remote are extremely glossy, meaning they get mucked up with fingerprints pretty easy. Extremely minor though.

Other Thoughts: I actually didnt pick these up from newegg, but from somewhere else for 10 bucks cheaper. Logitech makes a great product. Love it

Pros: Nice sound for the money. In my oppinion, for less than $100 these are hard to beat!

Cons: Not quite as loud as I was hoping for, but they are loud enough, and are clear.

Other Thoughts: If you are into shaking your house with bass, then these are not for you. If you want clean sound that doesn't rattle your teeth, then look no further.

Pros: -logitech, excellent build quality

-massive bass

Cons: -i personally don't fancy the volume controller, just adds to the clutter, I prefer the controls on one of the satellites.

Rating + 5 Great Sounding Speakers for $64 Bucks!


Pros: The speakers are very powerful for 40 watts. The bass is good! The setup was quick and easy. Took 5-10 minutes to hook to my PC. Has headphone and mp3 connector to remote. Volume key large and easy to handle.

Cons: Perferred that logo was not on front of both speakers.

Other Thoughts: I was anxious to hook these things up based on the reviews here. When I did though and fired up a song the bass was pretty disappointing. Infact I was barely able to hear the bass even with it turned to max. I did rearrange it and now it's better but still not as basey(not a word I know) as my 4 year old pc speakers these replaced.

Pros: Sound quality is great (crisp), design and build quality are top notch. Sub is solid. Definitely loud enough. The color scheme matches my iogear keyboard mouse combo and sharp lcd.

Cons: Why does the remote need to be serial? and the remote and power cables could be a bit longer. serial extensions are available for cheap though.

Other Thoughts: Real happy with this set, look great, sound great, feel great. surprised at the solid construction. The remote is a plus and works great with power, volume, base, head phones and speaker jacks. ideal for gaming on a desk where you can't fit a 5.1.

Pros: I don't know much about listening to audio sound and quality but these speakers give off no hissing. The sound is quite adequate for a room or for an apartment. Any louder and I get complaint. The amp box sits well on the floor for foot support, the remote control and the two volume speakers are functional and tastefully design. I use these speakers everyday for my mp3 and videos. More than adequate

Cons: Haven't found any.

Other Thoughts: Good price as newegg. For an home audio systems, maybe I'll get a 5.1

Rating + 4 Superior Sound Quality at a Great Price


Pros: The price is right. There is amazing quality for the money in this product.
The tri-speaker satellite speakers provide excellent very high, high, and mid-range tones. The separation of the tones amongst the three speakers allows for the highest quality, clean-sounding mid to high tones. Theres no clipping here.
Volume control can be wherever you want it with the remote, power is there too as well as a bass level knob. The bass level knob will actually cut out ALL low tones if you turn it all the way down!
The sub-woofer provides excellent full-sounding low range sound.
There is an auxiliary input on the remote which allows for other sources such as mp3 players or another computer (laptop).
The headphone port on the remote allows you to use headphones without needing an extension cord or to dive under the desk.

Cons: The headphone and aux in ports on the remote don't feel very sturdy. They require a lot of force to plug things into them.
There are a lot of wires to be managed.
The remote seems to be an integral part of the system. Rather than an optional feature.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tested it, but I don't think the system will turn on without the remote.

This system is probably about as close to a BOSE system that you can get without actually paying a BOSE price.

Rating + 2 Sound Great! But...


Pros: The satellites are crisp and clean at loud volumes. The bass out of the sub is great. These speakers easily fill up my apartment room (and the rest of the apartment if I so choose). The whole package worked great for the first two months...

Cons: The wired remote! I came home one day, turned on some music and was scared off my chair that the speakers were stuck in full volume even though the volume dial on the remote was turned down. It only seems to be the left channel, though. The remedy was and continues to be to push down (sometimes hit hard) the volume dial until the left speaker turns down. This happens 3-4 times per week.

Other Thoughts: I see I'm the only one with this problem, so I'd honestly bet that this doesn't happen often and call this product a great buy for $70.

Pros: They sound good and look good too.

Cons: Weird wired volume & bass controller. I guess they didn't want to put the controls on the speakers in case you want to mount them (I don't). Oh well, it's not a big deal, just wastes space on my desk.

Other Thoughts: I got the open box deal from newegg and everything was like new. Great deal for me at $46.

Rating + 5 SOLID AND TIGHT


Pros: I have had several PC speaker rigs thru the years, and this is the best one. The sound is TIGHT and without distortion. The very second i turned them on i could tell that they were SOLID. Nothing buzzing or distorting about these. The subwoofer is built like a wall safe. These speakers look as good as they sound. I definitely would buy a 2nd and 3rd set for the other PC's in the house. They are plenty loud enough too.

Cons: The only negative thing i can think of about this rig is that the satellites look like they are missing front grills, giving them a slightly vulnerable appearance. There really isnt a lot of moving parts near my desk, so it shouldnt be an issue. Maybe liquids splashing on them, but a grill wouldnt completely protect from that anyway. I think it looks good.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this setup. Mine was bought from Target for $82.99 i think. Now i see NewEgg has them for much less, so i will buy the next set from here.
