Amazing
Pros: Amazing fast, durable, and reliable
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I am a doctor, and over the last two months, I have dedicated one assistant to scan all my old records. Over 75,000 pages scanned in 2 months, very few misfeeds. Very reliable and very fast (it slows down only slightly on complex documents - but only minimally). Documentation is not great, but got desired settings within a few hours with some trial and error. I can't say enough good things about this scanner, if you are a medical professional, this is the way to go (much better than the S1500, which I use at home, where it is more appropriate).

A workhorse scanner
Pros: Fast scanning, robust paper handling, easy clearing, sharp images. Good quality included software. I have run thousands of pages through this scanner over the last 15 months. Excepting the cases where I have failed to remove staples, there have been less than a dozen misfeeds in that time. In the couple of cases where staples remained, the unit opened easily to clear and then properly fed the somewhat crumpled sheets to yield entirely acceptable images.
Cons: Linux driver/program availability and quality is substantially inferior that available for Windows. I have to run this scanner in a Windows XP virtual machine. I really wanted to reduce the rating by one for this, but it is just too good a scanner.
Other Thoughts: I wanted to get some time on this scanner before writing a review. Now that I have a year plus, I can confidently recommend it. It holds up well to heavy use. I use it to scan records for archiving. The records retain detail well, with the included software allowing accurate B&W images to be created from originals with colored backgrounds. The throughput of the process is limited by the speed of the shredder, not the scanner.

Awesome / Reliable
Pros: Thought it was time to submit a review. Scanned approximately 25,000 pages before the scanner misfed a page. Guess that says a lot by itself. Have used the scanner regularly for about a month. Not one single issue with the product. Software is sufficient for everyday use. Some have complained about the software, but for the price you cannot buy a better scanner.
Cons: None.

Not worth it...........
Pros: Lightweight, Compact
Cons: Not user friendly & software is too time consuming. You are paying for a high-speed scanner, which it is, but it takes 3x as long to do what you want due to the software.
Other Thoughts: Fujitsu scanners are nice, but the Scansnap models are much more user friendly & half the price.

Should get a four and a half
Pros: Fast scanning in any mode when directly attached to USB2 port. Scandall software is competent enough to get the job done. Very high quality scans even at low resolutions. Duplex scanning is incredible and fast. TWAIN drviers work great. Did I say fast?
Puts my DR2050C Cannon scanner to shame.
Cons: Documentation? What documentation? We don't need no stupid documentation. I still have no idea how to get ISIS drivers to work on my network. Scan software is confusing to say the least. Did I mention that the documentation of the software is very poor? What pray-tell is the RGBs setting for?
Other Thoughts: Overall an amazing piece of hardware, with the caveats that it will take a good deal of trial and error to get the best quality scans due to lack of blasted documentation of software. Other thought - This will scan photos but it is definitely not a photo scanner. Look at the corresponding flatbed model for pics.

To Be Commended!
Pros: Totally elegant features. TWAIN drivers. Small footprint; big productivity. Fast as the F-22 Raptor--even in duplex mode.
The TWAIN drivers work with both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit perfectly now, so don't let that stop you. Fujitsu is even working on updating the drivers for Windows 7, according to their website.
Cons: None. You get what you pay for, but a cocktail holder on the side would've been nice.
Other Thoughts: Sure. You could buy the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500, and it's probably good, but you'd be insane if you do--because there's NO TWAIN drivers with it. With the Fi-6130, TWAIN drivers allow you to virtually use any application that can be used with a scanner: you're not tied to any proprietary software, too. I'm using PaperPort Pro with this scanner--it works flawlessly. I can't recommend this scanner enough. Get it; don't be scared!

Not quite
Pros: Does operate quickly and quietly with standard papers.
Cons: Thin paper stock, the kind found in many textbooks, will cause this scanner--and you--much trouble.
Other Thoughts: Device is way over priced.

Great!
Pros: Much improved over prior 4000 and 5000 models. Has not jammed once over the last 2 months?! Very fast
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Worth the money, although a bit pricey.

A Great Scanner!
Pros: A great scanner. I own a medical equipment company and we are converting all our patient records. This thing is fast and jam free. Well worth the cost. Also, the free Adobe Acobate software is a great bonus. Very small footprint.
Cons: None

Nice
Pros: I have 17 Years Technology experience in Fortune 100 companies. As of 2005 I have my own company. For the money, this scanner is an excellent buy. I currently own two for my business. Planning to buy a few more. The software bundle is very good. Speed is excellent. Duplex rocks.
Cons: Looks Cheap, but is not.
Other Thoughts: Xerox should make this in a network version with SMB support.

Excellent Scanner
Pros: We just bought 4 of these for one of the offices where I work. Comes with twain and isis support, the professional version of ScanDall and Acrobat Standard. Scans quick and quiet. It's nice to have a full featured duplex (double-side) scanner in such a small package. It came highly recommended and I can see why.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: It's not a bad price when you consider the good quality software that it comes with - something most of us want with a nice scanner like this one.

Great Scanner
Pros: Very nice smooth scanner. Its paper feeder does an excellent job. Very small footprint for such a high volume sanner.
Cons: Only con is that it is a bit expensive. If it continues to scan well I would say it is worth it.
Other Thoughts: We use Adobe Acrobat which came with our scanner. This program works well with the twain drivers and has allowed us to scan even a 350 page document without any problems.

perfect for converting my practice to "paperless"
Pros: very fast duplex scanner. extremely good at paper handling. handles different sizes in 1 job, software works very well at straightening scans and putting them right side up. when you forget to remove a staple unjamming and resuming the job is trivial - the entire front folds open, exposing / releasing the entire paper path.
it's much smaller than you'd imagine; very lightweight and portable. it weighs less than many laptops.
it can scan in ISIS format, which my EMR (touchworks by allscripts) requires.
it comes with a *FULL* version of adobe acrobat - factor that in to the price.
the paper tray folds and cover the front, minimizing its already tiny footprint. the ADF support just drops into place.
buttons allow you to choose the scanning function, give lots of flexibility.
overall, i'm delighted with this scanner. the thoughtfulness that went into the design is clear and quite impressive. it's got my full and unconditional recommendation.
Cons: zilch.
Other Thoughts: the "remove blank pages" checkbox doesn't always work. however, i haven't even read the help screens or manuals, or even changed the settings that allow you to compensate for thicker or thinner paper. i'm sure i could just tell it "we use cheap, thin paper, so ignore the print on the other side" but it's hardly a real con. not even worth a piece of an egg in the rating.

Fujitus 6130
Pros: Awesome scanner...it devours documents of all types without ANY problems. The speed is faster than I can keep up with...the software works beautifully. This device is a keeper. Minimal maintenance...it's feed mechanism has to be the best that I have ever seen in any copy/scanner device. The scanner scans fast...the software downloads the scanned material immediately and is visible on the computer almost instanteously after a job is completed. This piece of equipment works better than any computer-associated peripheral that I have ever seen.
Cons: I haven't found a con yet. We have scanned probably 50000 pages in the 5 months that we have had the device...it just keeps working.
Other Thoughts: It would be a great acquisition at twice the listed price. With Newegg's discount, it's an even better bargain. As always (for me) Newegg's delivery and pricing was superb - about as good as the Fujitso scanner!!!

A Real Work Horse
Pros: Fast (scanner achieves full advertised speed in practice), Excellent feed mechanism is very reliable, mechanism flips open easily to clear jams (which it very seldom has), supplied software gives excellent degree of control over scanning, Kofax VRS allows 1-bit images of colored background originals
Cons: Support for scanner in Linux is minimal. No factory software support for Linux
Other Thoughts: I have been using this scanner to digitize old files in order to save storage space. Many of the files creased and have uneven edges, old staple holes, etc. Notwithstanding the poor quality of the originals, In one recent afternoon of scanning, I have had just three jams and one double feed in roughly 1,000 pages. The scanner is faster than the shredder, and the quality of the scanned images is outstanding. I have almost a year of experience with this scanner and continue to be highly impressed.

great scanner
Pros: This scanner has been awesome so far, much better than the large all in one copier/scanner/fax we have in the office. We're able to scan a variety of document types of different sizes and types with the push of a button, which it didn't take long to set up, and it sorts into files very easily using patch code scanning.
Cons: Setup is complicated.

High Quality Scanner
Pros: Very reliable, fast and quiet. I have not yet managed to jam it. Software installs easily and provides very flexible controls for the scanner. The performance of this units beats any flatbed scanner I have worked with by a large margin. Dual sided scanning is great.
Cons: No linux support. I run the provided software in a VMware XP sandbox without difficulty. But I would much prefer to have linux supported directly.
Other Thoughts: This is the first sheet feed scanner that I have owned. It is proving to be a great tool for reducing paper files to digital ones and freeing up space. I highly recommend this scanner.

Fantastic reliability
Pros: Fantastic build quality. Fast duplex scanning. Ultrasonic misfeed detection is sensitive and near impossible to fool. (We've tried...) Misfeeds are rare, even with skinny slick thermal paper. I tried to get the scanner to misfeed by taping two sheets of paper together at the top... It scanned the first page, then pulled the second page through upside down. Whoa.
Cons: Kofax VRS software is a bit slow to initialize. Wish ADF sheet capacity was larger.
Other Thoughts: Included Kofax VRS software helps clean up difficult documents. It acts as an intermediary TWAIN driver... Very easy to use

Perfect little scanner
Pros: Fast scanner, pages pretty much fly through. Beats the heck out of multifunction machines. feeds easily. Size is perfect.
Cons: Just remember this isn't a flatbed scanner, so stapled things and other loose items won't work.
Other Thoughts: This fits well into a small space. Great for our medical office where we want to scan paper then shred it.

Awesome things come in small packages
Pros: This is the fastest scanner I've ever owned or even seen. It truely lives up to the published specs of 80 pages per minute at 200 DPI in Duplex mode. DUplex scanning is just awesome - put in your phone bill and it scans in about one second. Bulk scanning is fantastic, too. When it runs out of scanning material (which it does very fast), once you put in another batch, it automatically starts again. The Shoe-box size footprint takes up little space on a desk. The Virtual Rescan software is the bomb of an interface. It makes everything look perfect. If you enable too many options, it slows the scanner slightly... but it is worth the extra detail.
Cons: Nothing... not even the price. In fact, many scanners out there that have the same speed capabilities cost double and don't come with the Virtual Rescan.
Other Thoughts: I scanned about 2200 pages last night. I scanned 518 pages of my cellular bills since 2006... it took me about 15 minutes (because Ihad to remove staples and slowed the progress to a crawl). This scanner will handle anything you throw at it, no matter the color or thickness. I wish I bought this thing years ago... my office would not be the cluttered mess it now. As far as software, I organize like this: All my bills are in one folder. I scan , say, all my cellular bills into one PDF. I extract each bill into a new file and then create a PDF package. THis makes organizing a breeze.
