Pros: Its an UPS, made for use in 220v/50hz countries (Europe etc) and NOT for use in the United States unless you put it on 220 volt current (such as what runs your electric dryer). It does exactly what its supposed to do, supurbly, when you use it where its meant to be used.

Other Thoughts: I do not own this product, but the prevailing reviews are completely useless, and needlessly skew the rating of this product. It appears that the purchasers received precisely the product that they were promised, and only gave it a poor rating due to their misunderstanding of its specifications (which are not misleading and are in fact in the title of the item). It is sensible to sell 230V equipment in the US for specialty applications.

Obviously my review is no more useful, but has as much right to stand as the prior ones (which is to say none).

Cons: I bought 3 - first one fried a backup pc. Wrong voltage!

Cons: Bought 4 of these. The first one fried my cpu. Called APC to initiate claim they informed me these are 230V only and should not have been sold in the US. They are right I checked and sure enough they are 230v.

Other Thoughts: This is not Newegg's fault. But APC should not have shipped them to the US.
