Works with Corsair TX750 PFC
Pros: Cheap power conditioning with added bonus of battery backup. I read some reviews that stated people were having problems with this unit and the newer poser supplies with Power Factor Correction (PFC), so I bought it at a local store (found it for $50 after MIR) because I was concerned about the cost to ship this back to Newegg. Works fine with my Corsair TC750 which has PFC.
Cons: The power switch on the front instantly kills all power output. I pressed it and the PC just died instantly. I wish it had an option to push and hold for power off to prevent inadvertent mishaps!

Nice features, but loud
Pros: Features are nice. Display shows battery charge meter and load capacity meter by default but can toggle to show output Hz, input voltage, output voltage, output Kw, and runtime on battery power. It's only at 23% capacity with cable modem (ARRIS TM602G/CT), wireless router (D-link WBR-2310), green 8 port gigabit switch (D-link DGS-2208), Dell Vostro 200 (with ATI 4650 add on video card), a 24" LED backlight LCD monitor (Dell G2410), and my cheap digital alarm clock (Westclox 22651). All this uses 116 Kw btw, according to the display.
Cons: High pitched buzzing! It's the loudest thing in my bedroom. I can hear it over the computer. With what I have plugged into it, runtime shows 23 minutes when it has AC power, and 46 minutes when it's unplugged from the wall. I don't understand the diff. I didn't test to see which was closer, but it did run for 5 minutes while I was testing without AC power. By default, the alarm doesn't seem to be on. It only let out one quick beep when I tested it.
Other Thoughts: When implementing a new UPS, don't forget to charge it for at least 12 hours before putting any load on it for better battery life. The instructions on this one says for 16 hours. Also, if you're not going to use it, charge it for a few hours a month.
This UPS is not suitable for bedrooms, or media rooms, due to the loud buzzing. The high pitch and volume of the buzzing is not pleasant and can be heard over ambient noise in a quiet room. When power loss occurs, it is much louder. I have used Trip Lite brand UPSs in the past, and haven't had this problem with them. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought this for my bedroom.

Pros: Great UPS. It has plenty of plugs and provides a decent power to my components. The LCD is actually quite nice, it can give you real time status of voltages, frequency, power draw, battery life, load levels.
The software support for it is pretty awesome. I applaud Cyberpower for providing support for Linux systems.
Cons: For something so beefy, I wish it could power my computer for longer than a few minutes. The LCD is somewhat difficult to read at oblique angles.
Other Thoughts: Although I haven't been able to measure the output with an oscilloscope, it seems to produce a modified sine wave, which may be a problem if you plug analog devices into it, but computers should be just fine.
The documentation is somewhat difficult to read, but still understandable enough to get the job done.

Works as advertised
Pros: Works well in the three different locations I have used this UPS, home and work. The display is a great feature for the power conscious, offering many aspects of power input and output and battery status.
Cons: My two year old daughter likes to push the colorful button... The display reports the battery life lower then expected but is adequate for my needs.
Other Thoughts: Works with Linux using the PowerPanel drivers offered through CyberPower's web site.

The sound of silence
Pros: Can set it to SILENT MODE. This works great for my home theater setup where there isn't a PC connected by USB to tell it be quiet when the power goes out.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I used the Power Panel software and USB cable while connected to my PC to disable the audible alarm, then set it up for my home theater. It didn't remember the setting. However, hold the function key for >3 seconds, and it will cancel the audible alarm.

Really ?
Pros: N/A
Cons: Doen't stay on at all during outage if load level is above 50%. Has to be power cycled to recover from overload. We plugged in 2 machines and load level read 67%. Battery said full. Upon losing power it immediately went into overload and turned off the outlets. When power restored it stayed in overload until turned off and back on (same load). It seemed to work correctly with 25% load, but that's useless.
Other Thoughts: Is the above really true ?...I cannot find anywhere that says if on battery the load is above 50% then the unit shuts down.....what good would this thing be if so ? I'm considering buying so wanted to make sure. Thx.

Another Happy Linux User
Pros: Enough power and connections to keep your average desktop up or safely power down when the lights go out.
Works smoothly with Network UPS Tools (NUT) under Linux.
Informative LCD output.
Compact size for easy placement.
Replacement batteries inexpensive and easy to find.
Worth every penny.
I love it.
Cons: The proprietary software it ships with leaves a lot to be desired.
It's a little on the heavy side so shipping is a beast.
Other Thoughts: I got this to power my primary desktop running Debian AMD64 Linux on a Dual Core Opteron @ 2.5GHz with 2GB RAM and 7600 GT graphics along with a 22" LCD and DSL bridge.
It took me about 15 minutes to get NUT working and properly configured with the USB connection.
I have about 7 or 8 minutes of power under a medium load while watching HD (720p) content, burning a DVD, running a few torrents, and surfing the web.
NUT will safely power my box down when the battery gets too low so I don't have to worry about any hardware being damaged.
I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for something that works smoothly with Linux and will probably buy another one of these to replace the under-powered Opti my gaming rig is running on.

Vista Users Beward
Pros: LCD Display Good price/performance
Cons: Software is very buggy. UPS / Computer communication is fragile.
Other Thoughts: Good system for brown outs or short power interruptions. However, the software is very buggy. After a power failure, I have to re-install and reboot the computer several times to get the communication between the UPS and Computer working again. I need the UPS to send a signal to to the computer to shutdown gracefully on a power outage. I just can't trust the software to accomplish this. Have tried contacting support, but their answer is to reinstall software and reboot until it works.
If you need a reliable system to shutdown your computer running Vista during a power outage, then look elseware.

Great Product
Pros: I've been using my cp850avrlcd for about a year now on my home theater. It works great! So good My wife ordered a second one to replace the small Powercom ebook550 micro ups on our gaming rig. Here in Arizona the heat alone will blow Transformers and cause other power outages for up to week in some areas but this little guy will even put my system into hybernate when im not there. I dont even notice a hit on my system while im gaming and running on just the batt. My system spesc are amdx2 3800+ 4gbpc433 250gbhdd 20xdvdrw xfx7600gs256mb windows vista 19 inch w/s lcd monitor
Cons: little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Other Thoughts: Superior construction and performance. cut my power bill from 240 a month to 180. used my Kill-A-Watt Keep theese things comming CyberPower!

Good value
Pros: Easy to set up, compatible with linux. The mfgr-supplied linux app works fine. Will run a fully loaded quad-core system and monitor for 5-10 minutes, less power-hungry machines for 30-60 minutes, easily long enough for an orderly shutdown. The units are attractive and surprisingly compact. I purchased three to protect some linux servers and workstations.
Cons: The documentation of the linux power app is poorly written, but understandable. Despite the bad english, the app was simple to install and configure.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the pretty LCD display on the front panel remained on instead of blanking out after 30 seconds. However, this unit is a great value. It's not intended to run your powerful workstation for an hour after the power goes out, just long enough to shutdown without trashing your data and hard drives. It should allow the attached hardware to breeze through power blips and momentary outages.

Great product
Pros: Works immediately with Linux. Install NUT, shut down, plug in, and turn on, and you're good to go. Powers my desktop (500w PS, Q6600, 8800gt) and 2 22" LCD monitors.
Cons: I'll probably have to buy another one when I add more monitors. Did they really put on the box that this thing would power something for 86 minutes? I have my doubts...
Other Thoughts: The unit itself says that at the current load that it will run for 7 minutes, but it was a bit over 5 for my tests. Which is fine, since NUT will do a clean shutdown when the UPS battery level is critical.

Won't handle rated load
Pros: Front display of various info including battery status and load level.
Cons: Doen't stay on at all during outage if load level is above 50%. Has to be power cycled to recover from overload.
Other Thoughts: We plugged in 2 machines and load level read 67%. Battery said full. Upon losing power it immediately went into overload and turned off the outlets. When power restored it stayed in overload until turned off and back on (same load). It seemed to work correctly with 25% load, but that's useless. That was our 2nd unit. The first unit we had to be RMA'd due to inability to fully charge the battery.
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments on the CP800AVRLCD and I’d like to extend my apologies for the issues you’ve had with your unit. Please be sure to give us a call so we can troubleshoot the issue and isolate where the problem originated. Good unit, DOES shut PC gracefully down
Pros: When I saw the earlier review where, among all the other good things the reviewer had to say about this product, he registered a complaint that the accompanying software would shut the computer down during an outage without saving files, I said hmm? I've had a lower rated Cyberpower unit for several years running its Powerpanel software, and during outages it has always saved files and put the PC in hibernation. Picked up this unit for a second computer, and it operates the same way, e.g., gracefully shuts down with no loss of data for unsaved files. Perhaps the confusion comes from the software config screen, which calls it a "shut down" when it is actually putting PC into hibernation mode. (It's just a simple DOS cmd, "shutdown /h", after all)
Cons: None so far. Does what it's supposed to do.
Other Thoughts: Shame that Newegg's always good prices are negated by the cost of shipping such a heavy battery.

Excellent (almost)
Pros: 1) Nice form factor 2) When charged and nothing is plugged into it, it only draws 7 watts, as measured by my Kill-A-Watt. 3) PowerPanel Personal Software is intuitive and easy to use. Gives you all the useful status info you need. 4) LCD panel is very nice. Also gives you the status info you need. 5) AVR - seems to be a true line-interactive regulated supply.
Cons: Software v1.2 does not support hibernation!!
Other Thoughts: I just returned a Belkin F6C550-AVR and got this CP850AVRLCD instead. It's *much* better than the Belkin in every way but one: The Belkin can tell the computer to Hibernate in case of outage, while the CyberPower can only tell it to Shutdown. Guess what, if you're not at your desk or are asleep when a 10-15 minute outage happens, you still lose any unsaved changes. It's like you had a garden variety surge protector. If your machine sometimes runs unattended, and you live where sustained outages are a problem, then this unit might not be for you (unless CyberPower decides to update the software, hint hint.) So anyone from CyberPower, if you're reading this, can you please submit a feature request to enable hibernation in the PowerPanel Personal software? If the terrible Belkin software can do it, then why can't yours? It's a gaping hole in the feature set of this product. (BTW, I'm running version 1.2) If you add this feature, my review goes from a 4 to a 5. Thanks

My Second Unit & More Features Than The First
Pros: I had previously bought a CyberPower CP1500AVR900W to support my substantial Home Theater System which was suffering problems with frequent power fluctuations from my rural electric service. It has solved all of those problems and even kept the entire system going during several brief power outages.
I bought this less powerful but more fully-featured unit for my computer system.
It seems to have no audible alarms but when it comes on an LCD display illuminates. Using a switch below the disply, you can toggle through the input voltage, the output voltage and hertz, a bar graph of the battery power and some other useful information.
When the power goes out (I just pulled the plug for a test) the LCD display shows a bar graph of the battery power, a bar graph of the power load upon the unit and calculates the time it will continue to power those devices, which in my case was 33 minutes.
I didn't load the shutdown software as I have time to do it myself.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: CyberPower makes well-crafted and good looking boxes. The Newegg pricing is excellent and their service is quick and efficient.

Great!
Pros: Wow, this UPS is nice. I was a little sceptical buying from cyberpower as I've never owned one of their products before, but I'm glad I went ahead with this UPS. It has 9 outlets. Thats n-i-n-e outlets, 5 of which are on battery backup. Thats incredible. A majority of the other battery b/u I was looking at at this price had about 4-5. It's not very big at all either, fits very easily underneath my desk, and it puts off virtually NO heat. The LCD is very neat and allows you to see how much time you have left on you battery power, your input and output voltage, the battery's capacity, and a few other screens. It keeps my computer well over 11 minutes on battery backup. This unit also has AVR protection and the auto shutdown software, which if you are too lazy will display everything that is displayed on the lcd screen itself. Also the beep it makes when the power is cut is not annoyingly loud as on other units. It's very aesthetically pleasing too look at to top it all off.
Cons: I didn't buy from newegg. It can be had cheaper at other online stores. I found it twenty dollars cheaper at buy dot com. Also the lcd doesn't stay on. It cuts off after about 30 seconds, but thats being very picky.
Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with this ups. I wouldn't hesitate to pick this up again.
