3.5 years with no problems!
Pros: Still working great after 3.5 years! It's a shame that you don't see that too often these days, particularly with batteries!!! UPS text messages me (via email) when the power is out!
Cons: Software is kind of lame, documentation and interface written in poor choppy english. Windows doesn't recognize the UPS, so I have to use the 3rd party stuff. However, the software works perfectly fine and has a nice email feature, so that's not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: I am impressed that the batteries seem to work pretty well after this long, but it could also be the fact that the unit is quite large for my needs, and I'm not putting a lot of load on it.

Works
Pros: Able to run on a near max load of power and still have a hour of battery backup
Cons: Had to replace batteries after 1.5 years but it was running in a environment that can get hot at times [Batterys life was suposed to be 3-6 years]
Other Thoughts: if you upgrade the batteries when you replace them you can get the 3000 series as the only deference is the Amp per hr it higher if you upgrade
i have tested this in both and it runs fine but the increased amps allow for up to 50% more battery time

Seems OK
Pros: What can you say? It's a UPS!
Cons: Has an RS232 interface for power management/control. Would be nice to have USB interface instead (for those of us who no longer use RS232), but you can usually find 232-to-USB adapters & drivers (so your system treats the USB device as though it was RS232) for under 10 dollars.
Other Thoughts: Although the packaging seemed very adequate, the front panel was slightly cracked on the bottom edge. This was probably due to the weight of this beast (around 50 lbs). Suggestion to manufacturer: maybe use some kind of temporary front-panel for shipping purposes, and include the actual front-panel and let the customer replace the temporary cover with the "real" cover.
I suggest (strongly) that you follow the manufacturer's recommendation to plug it in, turn it on, and let it recharge the internal battery for at least 4 hours BEFORE plugging any equipment into it.
Also (mentioned in previous reviews)...do NOT use this device to provide power to any laser printer, since these type of printers pull amperage very erratically (pulsing). Just use a simple surge protector directly into a wall socket [preferably on a different circuit] for laser printers.

The absolute power!
Pros: 11w of equipment continued functioning through an 8 minute power failure. The battery is still good after a year of heavy use (which is more than I can say for anything I've ever bought from popular-UPS-manufacture-whose-name-I-will-not-divulge-due-to-product-review-guidelines). Recently, this UPS survived a four foot fall onto concrete with only minor damage.
Cons: Weighs a ton. But what do you expect? It's made of lead.
Only reason I'm not giving it 5 eggs: "Site wiring fault" light comes on and stays on regardless of where I plug it in, including outlets that I personally wired and tested. This does not seem to effect functionality in the least, it's just annoying.
Other Thoughts: Relocate with care. Couldn't hurt to have a friend help.

Exploded in a shower of sparks
Pros: Worked for a while. No computers were harmed when it exploded.
Cons: This UPS blew up unexpectedly with a bang and shower of sparks. Since then I have been afraid to touch it. This is a low-quality product that may burn your house down.

No problems
Pros: No problems whatsoever--in fact, the power went out the first 10 minutes it was hooked up, and kept things running just fine. They say batts are factory charged. The manual (which, for some reason, is understandable)says backup power can run from 5 to 180 minutes depending on load. Runs noticably cooler than my old unit--something welcome in a hot room. Note, that the guts are the same as some of the pricier ones--if you don't need fancy handles or LCD screens to look at, then this is the one you want.
Cons: Heavy--like a bag of post mix, and not much smaller in size....(Well, maybe that's not a real con--it does seem pretty solid)
Other Thoughts: Unit fired right up and did it's job right away. The test beep is fairly quiet and peaceful--not loud and shrilly like my old one. Has a fan inside to help cool things--it only seems to kick on for a few minutes at a time (the manual says nothing on the subject though). Arrived without a scratch. The foam frame (for lack of a better term), that holds the UPS, had cutouts for the feet, and formfit the rest, so it looks like it'd be pretty hard to move around--maybe a packing inprovement from the factory?

DOA'd first unit, second one flawless
Pros: Great output for a R-15 plug unit, ample outlets, good software, reliable and quiet function unless defective from the factory.
Cons: This is the second of these, a RMA replacement. First one was DOA, but The Egg came through with excellent customer service as usual. I did have to buy a replacement unit while this one was being rma'd, but that's not the Egg's fault.
Other Thoughts: Just as many others have had happen, first unit doa and had to go through rma process. It took better than 3 weeks for me to have a functioning unit, but I'm happy now. The Egg was great, as usual.

So good I bought two
Pros: Powers my desktop, file server, router/DHCP server, and miscellaneous network/telecom equipment for approximately 30 minutes during a power outage. Very good price considering the amount of power this thing can produce. The job of an UPS is to provide stable power, and this does it flawlessly. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Has the capability to both raise and lower the voltage on an unstable line (very handy if you live in an area with dirty power).
Cons: It's not as "pretty" as some of its counterparts, but it does it's job. The bundled software is somewhat old, but I'm not using it anyway.
Other Thoughts: I've owned one of these for quite some time, and I recently ordered another for my home theater. It's also worth noting that these units will run on both 50 and 60hz power. I'm currently using 120v/50hz (living overseas and using a transformer), and this UPS runs flawlessly, unlike others I have tried.

functional ups
Pros: keeps my computer(s) up for a few minutes on an outage
Cons: front face plate fell off and will not stay on, overall mechanical construction weak.
Other Thoughts: -if your equipment is in a remote location looks is not a requirement, a face plate is not needed. -return shipping may be expensive so medium risk that this unit will arrive working. if you have to warranty return you will spend more money than you think

Great Unit
Pros: 2200VA Back up at a great price. Unit performs very well. Power goes on & off in my area frequently.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I see how some of these could be damaged in shipping. This thing weighs about 70lbs. The box it ships in is very sturdy, but this thing is so heavy it should not be dropped by the shipper.

Very pleased
Pros: Have the unit currently backing up 1) PC w/ 1000 watt PS. 2) PC w/ 350 watt PS. 3) 30" Flat Panel LCD Monitor 4) 22" CRT monitor 5)500 watt 5.1 speakers 6) small electronics (phone, router, modem)
I am in an area with a lot of brown outs / instant power outs (goes out and comes right back on). The unit has activated dozens of times and never have I had a single problem with it.
Cons: HEAVY! (not really a con, I like that it is solid construction).
The alarm is loud.. One power out was at 2am and the alarm woke me up and scarred the dog (and me!). There is probably a way to turn it off, but I have not checked.
Other Thoughts: If it can handle my power needs, it should be more then sufficient to power most people's set up. Just don't put a laser printer on it (Bad!).

Pros: Up to now, this unit has performed flawlessly. Plenty of capacity to run my dual opteron workstation, a micro atx pc, monitor, ethernet switch, etc all at the same time.
Cons: shipping container took a hit in transit. Had to open up case and tweak internal sheet metal to realign face plate correctly upon receipt. (item was well packed in original carton, it apparently just wasn't adequate in this case)

Great Units!
Pros: Great Units, still maintian power during an outage after 1 year.
Cons: They don't come in 10kVA
Other Thoughts: If your unit fails after a surge make sure you check the fuse. It's a $.30 replacement from any hardware store vs sending it back to newegg or Powercom for a replacment.

Best investment I ever made!
Pros: This has saved me countless times (had lots of power loss and fluctuations due to work on my house). Running 3 computers (Core 2 Duo E6600 overclocked, P4 660, and Dual PIII 800MHz server) about 1200 watts adding all 3 power supplies with no problems at all. Batter life lasts a long time! Never had problems with the response of this item, is VERY fast when power drops out. Included software provides a nice history chart to map when and for how long power was out, etc, and allows e-mail notification.
Cons: When you first plug it in, the fan runs for a while, which is a bit annoying, but it stops after a few minutes. Weighs a TON, but what do you expect?
Other Thoughts: Best bang for your buck! Haven't found a competing 2000VA+ and 1000W+ UPS for anything around this price.

Failed!
Pros: Good value for the price , software is nice and keeps my servers running long enough for a proper shutdown with a power failure
Cons: One of the two I have failed completely during a 3 second power outage after running for a few months. But of course newegg is replacing it for free

Pros: I have had this unit up and running more than 18 months now, and I can say that " It's been the best UPS for my remove servers for the dollar, than I have ever come accross!" I have had APC, Tripplites and Belkins, and they are all dead, and will not warranty after 1 year.
Cons: Fragile face piece, had to superglue it back on, but the unit work flawlessly.

Comments: Had this unit for less than one year when it failed. Newegg replaced under warranty with another unit which was defective upon receipt. The whole ordeal has cost over $100 in shipping costs to return to Newegg.

Comments: I love this UPS. I want a longer backup time so even when the power goes off, I would have enough time to logoff my on-line game.. So, my chart won't die because my power goes off. I have been searching and Newegg got the price I can ever find in any where else. I was so lucky.. when I find it here, it even has instant rebate off the checp price.. I was so impressed with the UPS performance and the purchasing transactin. Thank you newegg.
