not that bad
Pros: I didnt buy this hear but at best buy for $300. Any way i have had it since november and realy like it. I have 756 songs and growing, 1 full movie, and 5 pages of apps and barly scratched the 16 gigs. Finally to the pros: very easy to use and navagate(a grandma could do it) lots of fun apps for free you can put a password on it(4 digit) very good battery life web browser very very good screen picture built in speaker and others i probably cant think of.
Cons: for all good there must be bad the shinny back will scratch very very easy but easy solution buy the: GRIFFIN - iClear for iPod Touch (2nd Gen) Item#:N82E16855998947
you need wi-fi to do most all apps and range is nex to nothing so if you are on the road you are out of luck.
screen will scratch solution: the griffin hard case has a very nice clear thing for it.
i had an old dock station and it wouldnt work on it so you might need one if you want an alarm or somthing and thay can be expensive
Other Thoughts: almost all people have a thing against iTunes i dont get my stuff from there i get it from mp3 rocket so just get the right converter and its fine
i learned about the back scratch thin the hard way i put it on a table with a little bit of grit and yea
i hope this was helpfull for its only real downfall the limited wi-fi range i will still give it 5 eggs well done apple.

AWESOME DEVICE!!
Pros: Ok, first off im currently a college student, i have a laptop, pc, and a zune. I used my zune to watch videos, listen to music, and podcasts. And carried the laptop for everything else.
Well with the Ipod Touch i really only need that and my desktop. There are apps for scheduling, note taking, full enclocypedia/dictionaries, games, etc (w/e u can imagine)
Truthfully this is the best device i've ever owned next to my desktop. I've had it for just about a month ahd i don't think i've been without it since. It's like a laptop in the palm of your hand.
Cons: The only problem is theres no bluetooth so that means no keyboard so I still need to carry the laptop when i expect to take a lot of notes.
Small in size, but thats understandable due to flash memory and not a hard drive, Can't have nearly as many movies as my 80GB zune.
Other Thoughts: If you are a college student or someone with a job who needs lots of tools, or media i would definatly suggest getting the 32GB version. I've used about 3GB for apps, 5GB for music, 3GB on podcasts, and the rest on videos/tv. The moment i owned it i filled it, i sadly cant fit all of my tv shows or movies onto it.

Best Ipod Yet
Pros: This thing rocks. Interface is very user friendly and wi-fi makes this one of the best IT purchases I've ever made.
Cons: No cut-n-paste (yet). No Flash capability for the Safari browser.

So far so good!
Pros: -More features than imaginable -Decent speaker sound (what do you expect for such a small device??) -Lots of storage -Sleeker than the 1st gen
Cons: None thus far. It was a little pricey though, but worth it.
Other Thoughts: I actually purchased this for my husband as an early birthday present. He is a technogeek and just loves it. So far, so good!

Great product as long as you do not have problems
Pros: Good product as long as you dont have issues
Cons: Started having lockup issues on the second day, wifi disconnects , as well as came across "dust" under the glass. Called into newegg the following day to RMA and get a new one only to find out is I can't RMA the itouch, apparently once purchased i can't rma, i have to drive out to a Apple Store and deal with them. This is upsetting as I purchased online @ newegg , not at apple store that takes a hour field trip. So, i scheduled an appointment at the apple store with a "Apple Genius" wasted a few hours of my day off to have them look at the itouch, order a replacement, and send me home as no replacements where in the store. Received a call on Tuesday that the replacement was in, took the field trip to the store only to find out the "new" replacement had "dust" all under the glass, the apple "Genius" took a look and went back to the back to grab me another "replacement" that comes in at brown box and sent me home with that.
Other Thoughts: The 3rd touch looked good, stayed connected, and didn't lock up, but the freaking home button sticks. I dont mean sticks and releases right away, I means stick and eventually , minutes , hours , or overnights ( as last night) will let you tap/move your finger to try to make the button come back up. Button is stuck as i type !
This is freaking ridiculous and I'm extremely upset. I purchased a product online so i didn't have to take the time out of what little free time i have to go to the store, yet I'm forced to drive out , out of my way to try to see if i can get a properly working, acceptable product. I am forwarding this issues to NewEgg CS and requesting a refund and this has ruined the whole "Apple Experience "
I should be running into these issues with a product that cost this much.

Great!
Pros: As newegg had stated, it will be delivered in 3 business days, which was done so properly. I was very happy about that. It comes with everything it needs to be charged, synced, etc. It is very easy to use, comes with all the instructions.
Cons: Very thin, very easy for it to slip out of your hands if your not careful. Definitely need to buy a case for it in case you do drop it. It breaks very easily.
Other Thoughts: I love it, it is well worth the price. Awesome!

Love the iPod Touch
Pros: - Touch screen works great compared to the touch screen on my LG Dare phone. I doubt that any manufacturer makes a trouch screen like Apple does - Games (so many are free - Wireless access to internet
Cons: - Battery life. Apple, you should have made the touch 1/16 of an inch thicker and increased the battery life by 20%. It runs down much too quickly when using the wireless or watching videos. I would have given a 5 star rating if the battery lasted longer. - My first Touch was defective. I returned it and the new one works perfectly.
Other Thoughts: I previously had an iPod Nano thinking that was all that I needed since I mostly use it for playing music in my car. Once I saw the Touch (both of my sons have them), I decided that I HAD to have one.

Great for apps, less so as a music player
Pros: Very well designed user interface. Beautiful touch screen display.
This really has the best application development by far for any portable device. Over 25,000 apps in the app store and counting. A lot of developer support = lots of useful apps for a long time to come.
Safari web browser, Google Earth, IM/Fring/Skype/email, Pandora/YouTube/streaming radio, all available anywhere with wifi!
Cons: There is no external storage slot for expandable storage, and I can't fit my whole music collection on the internal memory.
It's a serious fingerprint magnet, and its also easy to scratch the finish.
No Adobe Flash support... at least not yet. This limits online video options.
Other Thoughts: It's not really a good music player for use in the car. You can't safely navigate the touch screen controls on the iPod touch while driving. You'll probably run out of storage space if you have a big music collection. I keep another higher capacity mp3 player that can hold my entire music collection and also be used easier in the car.

very cool for an apple device
Pros: as others have stated very nice interface and easy to use. Wifi is what really sold me on it, I dont even use my laptop much anymore. Plenty of apps to download and make even more useful. also plays movies, songs and able to store pictures. Again a very cool interface for viewing pictures and showing off to friends.
Cons: Girlfriend borrows it too much so i dont get to use it at work as I would like to. also as others have stated everything is done through itunes
Other Thoughts: Ive never had a mac product before because i dont really care for itunes but this product is so cool that ill put up with itunes to use this product.

Very addicting device
Pros: Beautiful design for the device and the user interface. With the 2.1 "firmware" the device is quite responsive too, web navigation is more than decent (not as on a desktop but faster than on a laptop tethered to EDGE). The app store is almost like a candy store to me :) I do everything on the device: e-mail, web navigation, documentation, news reading, facebook, games, music of course, YouTube but also Ted talks. Bottomline: I love it! I go to sleep with it, I wake up with it, and this is 5 months after purchase.
Cons: Battery life is on the low side, especially when you use the screen and wifi a lot like I do. I ususally charge everynight. For some games I better play plugged in. The limitations of the app store, but I do like it more than dislike it. I will not mention the gripes mentioned anywhere because although I would like them fixed I do not think they are vital to me. Now, waiting for the Iphone OS 3.0 I only hope Apple will not treat iPod touch users as second hand customers again, although they did a bit of that with 2.1 as well as with 2.0 for 1.0 owners.
Other Thoughts: Although here there are lots of advanced users, I find it very unfair that they review the device based on their jailbraking experience. So you use the device against manufacturer's recom, and after you whine about the issues. Yes, the device is not perfect, and I am looking forward to updates, but is my favorite device by far. I basically use it as an iPhone without the dogslow expensive ATT plan attached.

Fun As All Get Out
Pros: Fun to use, tons of apps, plenty of things that set it above an MP3 player.
Cons: iTunes, no wireless access point at my work...
Other Thoughts: iTunes has it's own way of doing things, when you figure it out it makes life so much easier.

Great except for iTunes
Pros: Great Display Good audio with head phones Touch pad is very responsive and accurate
Cons: Itunes required, Frankly Itunes is one of the most annoying programs to work with IMO and has overall been a royal pain trying to get it everything loaded. Having to covert all of my music files to get it to sync up has gotten my blood pressure up quite considerably.
Other Thoughts: I happened to get mine as a prize in a Contest, Be honest because of the Itunes requirement, I had no intention of getting it Sadly while the hardware seems to be great I have never had any good experiences with Itunes, which being required has to taint my overall opinion of it.

I love it!
Pros: Quick internet surfing, easy to set up, great interface. Video quality is pretty good Internal speaker isn't the greatest, but it's good for sharing a song or two with a few friends
Cons: Photos can be a little blurry when they get 'optimized' for the iPod Touch Uploading videos to it can sometimes cause all of your apps to crash, in which case you have to delete them all and reinstall them. You HAVE to have an iTunes account, even for the free stuff. It's pretty ridiculous. They aren't hard to get, but if you don't have a credit card you either have to get your parents to set one up, or you have to go buy an iTunes gift card.
Other Thoughts: Overall I love the thing, it's a lot more pocket friendly than a PSP 1001. Contrary to a lot of reviews that I have read you CAN operate it from in pocket, just 2x tap home, and tap near the top right of the screen, you'll advance it one song.

Great tech toy
Pros: I really have enjoyed having this device. The touch is mainly a tech toy for me, and has been one of my best purchases ever. Bought a good case to protect the unit. The app store is very good. I have not been a Apple user in the past, but this little gem has changed that. Also, as far as jailbreaking...I don't see any reason for that to be a concern. The games and apps are reasonably priced and work. If you like a product and service, pay for what you use, and support the business.
Cons: I would like to see some less expensive add on devices, like speakers or headphones.
Other Thoughts: Newegg service was great....as usual

Pros: Amazing!! i dont go anywhere without it. Wanted everything but the phone, so the ipod was perfect. watch movies, use internet, write notes, read news, use calendar.
Cons: Does not support flash. charging port does not support previous accessories such as chargers.
Other Thoughts: There are great accessories for the touch, as with most apple products, but also as with most apple products the prices of the accessories are outrageous.

Sweet!
Pros: Almost an all in one gadget! Wifi is a plus, lots of free apps, music, games, videos and an eReader app that lets you download books straight to it... What's not to like? Battery life seems pretty decent - better than my other brand mp3 player anyway.
Cons: Ok, the price is a little steep, and get a case of some kind because the pretty shiny back is easily scratched. No operational problems so far.
Other Thoughts: This is my first iPod product after swearing they were just plain old over-priced. The iPhone would complete the all in one thing, but I'm Verizon - no iPhone for us. It's pricey, but other eReaders cost more and take up more space.

Amazing...
Pros: What can I say...It's like Apple has a time machine and can bring back gadgets from 50 years in the future. The iPod Touch is an amazing device. Surf the web, email, watch video, play games, update calender, and also play music.
Cons: User cannot replace battery.
Other Thoughts: Apple nailed the touch interface.

Simply Awesome
Pros: Maybe the best tech toy out there. I'm not a huge apple/mac fan. However, they hit the nail on the head with this product. It's tough as a brick, lightweight, and has endless apps and features for it.
Does not get any better....PERIOD
Cons: I didn't buy one for myself.
Other Thoughts: I purchased one for my Dad for X-MAS.... Of course, I had to QA it before hand, and make sure it was all loaded up ready to go..... ;)
1 week later, I had to say goodbye and wrap it up and give it away. Needless to say, he loves it as much as I do. I'm 28 and he's 64.

Extremely Impressed
Pros: This iPod exceeded my expectations. I have had other iPods, 20GB 3rd gen, 2nd gen Nano. I was not impressed with the build quality of these, sure they look sexy, but they didn't perform in the long run. Battery loses cycle stability, headphone jacks shorted out etc, but this iPod... The headphone jack is very sturdy, scratch resistant is actually acceptably good.
The variety of applications is incredible, I sold my laptop after I got this, no joke, really!
Big screen, good battery life, good sound quality, love it all the way.
Cons: 16GB isn't quite enough for me, I have upwards of 25GB of music, but I couldn't afford the 32GB. I have had to thin out my music to accommodate for apps and videos, also podcasts.
The reason I list the space as a con is because the amount of money you pay for flash memory devices is ridiculous. I still want a 120GB Zune because its cheaper than this, and has way more space. Having both devices is almost necessary.
A huge con for me was after I got my iPod touch, it just made me want an iPhone really bad because I don't have Wi-Fi every where I go. Also, when I realized the amazingness of the iPod Touch and iPhones, when the time comes for me to get a new phone, I will not be satisfied with my available choices :/
Other Thoughts: Although there is limited space on flash storage devices, the flexibility of use for the iPod touch is INSANE. I couldn't live without it now.
No second thoughts about this, JUST BUY ONE!

Read about Safari for all the complainers
Pros: This is the best iTouch I have ever used. Nice.. Just buy it.. The only reason I'am writing a reviews on this iTouch is, Too many people is complaining about Safari broswer. True, I agree with you all about the FlASH, adobe reader.. Cannot open web page, If Apple is reading this, Do your Company a favor, Fix it. you make more money this way, and much more happy coustomers, Is a win win suituation for your Company.. There another app you can use, Is call iBlueAngle you can view this at AppVee.com first before buying it. it cost 5 bucks. It can do much more, and go further than Safari, I love it.. Less than a week ago, I upgrade the iToch 2gen version from 2.2 to 2.2.1 Now Safari works better than before, There's a reason for the upgrades, avioding Crash, and programs to works at it best.
Cons: None, I can think of. If there's one. Battery need some improvement, make it last longer. Currently drain fast..
Other Thoughts: I got the 8gb. Not the 16gb.. It holds 4 videos one and a half hours long each. Six Thousands Pictures. and NINE page of the Apps and still have over 1gb left, if you want to put alot of music or Video, movies, then the 16gb is great.. I really have no clue why some of you give this iTouch a bad reviews here?.. My only advice is, you need to play with it more, and learn more what this great iTouch can do for you. Good Luck..

Pretty good unit
Pros: 1. I like the overall layout of the unit especially its hard screen. 2. Battery life is good but for how long (see Cons) 3. It easily slips into my pocket. Overall I am happy with the unit but it can be improved.
Cons: 1. Battery can only be replaced by Apple. 2. Cannot add more memory. 3. Sychronization requires Itunes to be installed. 4. Does not scynchronize Notes in Outlook

To All, don't pay attention to the reviewer that gave this device a 5 About the Reviewer With a 2.
Pros: Great Ipod. Touch is great, and love the apps.
Cons: Only 16gb, but there is a 32gb version. Go with that one, the space is worth it. No out of the box x64 support.
Other Thoughts: Now, the 2star reviewer never jailbroke his/her ipod. He hacked the installer package for Itunes itself.
Itunes Only supports Xp 32bit, Vista 32bit and Vista 64 bit.
Some of us users use Xp 64bit, and apple kicked us by not making available a Xp 64 bit itunes.
There really is only 2 reasons why you cant use the Vista x64 package on Xp, and that is 1. Installer OS Check and 2. CD/DVD Driver/Program/Service.
Using Microsoft ORCA you can Take out the OS check. And By installig GEAR you can fix the CD/DVD Driver/Program/Service Issues. And Bang, working Xp x64 install. No ipod hacking, just taking out the OS check and installing legal drivers. Yes, maybe Taking out the OS check is Breaking one of apples many laws/agreement/EULAs, but it should be available in the first place. Jailbreaking your ipod requires you to install Modified firmware on your device to use 3rd party apps and alot of cool stuff. But the 2 star reviewer did not do that.
Sorry to hear about your ipo

Nice
Pros: The screen is great for watching video. Also, your can buy apps and music(does anyone actually *buy* music anymore?) directly from the device. You can view your bank account, email, even google earth from this with ease. With my hard plastic case and screen protector attached it still looks nice, and feels very sturdy. I actually dropped it from 4 feet onto a cement floor (without the case on!). You can barely tell it happened. Safari works VERY nicely for a mobile device. touch screen is easy to use.
Cons: The touch interface does NOT work well while driving in a car. I wouldn't touch this in a car unless ur at a stop light. You cannot access Itunes video store from the device. I'm sure that the itouch could handle it just fine, but its not there. Bad choice on apples part, because that's the only part of itunes I use. Also, apple refuses to support things such as Flash player.
Other Thoughts: If you dont care about all of the fancy apps or the large screen on here i would consider a nano or a classic.
This thing is *really* nice, but since it is not a phone, its not really an all-in-one. If you just want to carry one device around get an iphone

Pros: 1. Works great.
2. No issues.
3. Fast shipping.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Newegg as always, flawless.

Apple ipod touch 16gb
Pros: Beautiful screen, perfect size. Music and audio books sound incredible. Photos look great. I own several Apple products and although their cost is somewhat higher, it is worth it for the quality and precision they put into their products. Best of all, New Egg rocks with their superior customer service and shipping. I've ordered from New Egg for years and they are the greatest.
Cons: None...except maybe the fingerprints.

Love Love Love it!!!!
Pros: I am so in love with this thing! WOW! It is so much better than I had even thought. The graphics are simply amazing, it has a great feel, very user friendly, fast wifi connection, great music quality.
Cons: I cant put it down!
Other Thoughts: I am so impressed with the application store that you can access through wifi right on your ipod touch. I have only bought acouple of games, there are litterally thousands of free applications! You can get all kinds of apps from games, educational tools, music, maps, dining guides, reciepes, cocktail reciepes, the list goes on and on!

Excellent Product, but heres a pointer.
Pros: The ipod touch is the best media player in it's field. With over 500Million apps to choose from, you cannot go wrong with this unit. The Screen has the highest of quality, the multi-touch screen is unmatched, and the accelerometer is unsurpassed by any predecessor.
NOTE* To the customers that are complaining about the itunes software, just turn off auto-sync. Go to your preferences, and simply tell itunes not to sync your ipod, then you can drag and drop what you like on anyone's computer. It's not the itunes software that is flawed, it's simply an automatic setting.
Cons: As we know the sound quality COULD be better, but i'm too overwhelmed by the amount of features with this product to be discouraged by something so minor.
Other Thoughts: Excellent product, just need to turn off that Auto-Sync!!

Well Done!
Pros: Looks nice Interface very responsive Nice PDA features Easy to Sync Wi-fi is fast Video looks great Web Browser and photo browser is nice.
Cons: Doesn't steer my car.
Do wish the browser had Flash capability.
Other Thoughts: For what it is and what it's supposed to do, it does it brilliantly. For what it could do, like having bluetooth enabled, there could be so much more functionality like sharing photos and using GPS. This is still a great media player and several of the apps are pretty handy like the iTunes Remote and being able to control your computer mouse and keyboard on your iPod, makes using your computer as a home theater PC more convenient than lugging a wireless keyboard and mouse around, or looking for the remote control.

Great for media - apps are useless
Pros: excellent screen, big and it REALLY is scratch-proof, i can say that after a year of abusing it. Excellent sound quality, dont listen to people who say its not as good as the classic/nano's sound quality, you would need superpowers to tell the difference. They probably just say that because they already know that the player isnt as sophicticated because they read the specs, but there is no way you could tell otherwise (at least not me). Thw Wi/Fi connection is fast and cool to have, mostly just fun to show off though. The browser is great and easy to use, has everything except flash I think. 16 GB is plenty of space, not quite enough to hold my entire library, but easily hold all of the music that i actually listen to and alot more. Super thin and light.
Cons: Okay, so I paid like $300 for this thing last year but every time theres a software update, its and extra $10! i would have given at least 4 eggs if it hadnt been for this. There was a software update last year right after i bought it (which i paid for) and now theres another one i have to pay for! (which i wont). Both of them just improve the quality of the apps, which i dont even really use. The apps are just the same ones as for the iPhone, except for the ones that require the microphone or bluetooth (but those are all the best ones, like shazam). all the games are pretty much the kind you get bored of after about 5 minutes.
Other Thoughts: This is not a iPhone replacement for someone who doesnt want to pay $100 a month, its just a really, really cool iPod. the wi/fi would really only be handy if i carried it with me all the time and there were hotspots everywhere i went, but im just not going to carry this AND a phone, too much stuff. It really comes in handy when i carry it while traveling, watch movies on the plane, browse the web in airport hotspots (but in most cases i would have my laptop with me anyway).

Theres better out there
Pros: Looks cool. Easy to navigate through to the songs I want to hear. Gives me something else to make fun of Apple about!
Cons: itunes is a joke!!! I synced it with my girlfriends laptop right out of the box because I have a lot of newer music on it. Got back to my house to sync it with my super collection and it wiped out all of the music I had on it. Since I had a Zune that got stolen out of my truck before, I had to reformat everything over to itunes, which took over an hour. Furthermore, the ipod needed an update which cost $10, while all of my Zune updates were free.
Other Thoughts: If your thinking about buying one of these, DON'T!!!! For the same price you can buy something that has a lot more storage capacity, doesn't erase all of the content on your mp3 player, and makes third-party downloading a breeze(if you save it to the right file/folder). Also, you wont have to pay for updates!

Mediocre Media Player, Great PDA.
Pros: Great software. Nice and simple, easy to navigate. Downloadable apps make the device. Many good free apps (haven't made a single purchase yet). Works great as a multipurpose PDA (which is what I got it for). The fact that I can do everything right from the player over wifi means I don't have to deal with iTunes often. Portable Pandora Radio rocks.
Cons: iTunes is wretched software if you're used to optimized programs (and there are few to no alternatives). Media capabilities greatly lack format support (just MP3, MP4, AAC, M4A, MOV), converting every movie is a pain. Sound quality is good enough for me, though not as good as many other players (such as the classic or nano ipods). Does not come with a dock, just a whimpy 3 foot cable with the proprietary connector to USB. Picks up fingerprints like mad. Does not work with a stylus like other PDAs, as it does not detect pressure (It's like a transparent laptop trackpad). Main screen gets cluttered really fast with all the software you can get for it each taking up an icon. You have to sync to iTunes, which means you essentially don’t really own any of your own media, and must remain with iPods in order to keep mobile access to it (though there are tedious work-arounds). Even 16 gigs is not a ton for music library storage. Be prepared to swap unless you have fewer than ~3000 songs
Other Thoughts: It's a great little device as a PDA. Comes with lots of storage for apps (though not a ton for an entire music library, and full movies are one-at-a-time). Wifi works great, and is pretty speedy for a handheld. It's very sleek and has a good weight to it. VERY durable feeling. Very slim (I forget it's in my pocket sometimes) though the shiny chrome is easily scratched, so get a sock if you care about cosmetics. The programs that can be downloaded to it are as diverse as the old palm software ever was, giving it a variety of uses from a desktop clock to a Dungeons and Dragons dice roller. If you can deal with Apple's proprietary bull, this is a good little device. I just wish it had a GPS like the phone.

Very Very Disappointed
Pros: Very nice display. Touch capabilities are amazing, one of the best for touch screen devices. Sleek design, and lightweight. Photo browsing is very cool. Of course, music and video playback is great.
Cons: The iTunes software and the new updates for this product destroy its universibility. The device can only be synced to 1 iTunes. No sharing photos or music with family and friends, it will wipe the entire iPod to sync with their iTunes. Once the music and photos are on the iPod you can't copy them to another computer. It seems Apple did this to prevent people from sharing music so everyone has to use iTunes store and buy it. Of course, there are ways around this using third party software for 50 bucks when this feature should be already available for the amount of money you are paying. You can't use it as storage, yet its a USB mass storage device. Video format playback is very limited and picky. Not much storage for the price you are paying.
Other Thoughts: If you only have one computer that you sync your iPod with then you won't have the syncing problems, that is until you get a new computer. The accessories for this thing are endless. They enhance the owning experience greatly. I have had older iPod's and they were no where near this frustrating. I just don't understand where Apple is trying to go with these software and firmware changes. They really messed up on this one.

Good Deal, Good iPod
Pros: Good as a PDA. This is the 5th one I have ordered to replace some bulky HP iPaq PDAs. These get WiFI, email and internet over WiFI which is perfect for what we need. Also, the battery life is great. I can go three days without a charge.
Cons: It would be nice to have some file storage capability on these. I do miss the ability to store files on my iPod.

Pros: Great product! Very easy to understand GUI. Beautiful and bright display. Music automatically stops when headphones are unplugged. Previously navigated still accessible even when not connected to a network.
Cons: ITunes and syncing can be slightly confusing for first time users. Battery life is only a couple of hours when playing an app.
Other Thoughts: The more I use it the more I ask myself how did I surive so long without one!

best ipod
Pros: Works great and you can install a bunch of apps from the app store. Sound quality is good I don't know what others are talking about... Web browser is great and the quality of the screen is wonderful.
Cons: A little pricey but definitely worth the price compared to other products
Other Thoughts: Very happy with this purchase I have no regrets whatsoever. Don't listen to people giving it 2 stars or lower they can stick with the Zune if it's such a superior product...

Better Alternatives
Pros: IPOD has great accessories available. Easy to use and access data
Cons: Difficult at times to integrate with your PC. Menus can be sluggish at times. Sound quality poor as well as support. This definately takes the back seat to my Zune in terms of overall satisfaction.
Other Thoughts: Save some money - a Zune is a far superior product

just got it ...
Pros: OK, I finally got one after a lot of resistance and I'm glad I did.
The TV Shows, the movies, and the music are all great and the wifi hot spots are now free for my use. I was wrong, this little "gadget" is not a toy !
Cons: None yet but I'm sure I'll find something.

The best mobile device I've seen
Pros: This is incredible. I wanted something that could access email/internet on the go. This thing offers WAY more than what I expected. Operates fast. I love the "keyboard" layout.
Cons: Does not come with an AC charger (AC/USB chargers are around 10 bucks - so, it isn't a big deal). It does not come with a carrying case. Good cases are not that cheap. iTunes software (version 2.1.1) is not fully compatible with 64bit OS.
Other Thoughts: Select apps. very carefully. Buggy ones may slow down the overall iPod operation.
NewEgg's customer support is THE BEST! I had to call before placing the order to sort out something, and they did everything the way I wanted. Thanks!

Pros: Touch screen is very responsive iTunes is a great media manager as long as you don't use music purchased from the itunes store
Cons: The blacks are more of a grey. The sound quality is just horrible. Battery life is ok..but the battery will die in a few months ipod apps are overpriced and pointless scrathes easily
Other Thoughts: overpriced for wut it is there are better players with much beter sound quality for less

To All, don't pay attention to the reviewer that gave this device a 2
Pros: Great device for what it does
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: The user that gave this device a rating of 2 tried to hack the OS on the device to allow him/herself to get all of the iPhone applcations. He/She didn't know what he/she was doing and messed up the device. I've been doing a ton of reading about "Jailbreaking" the Ipod Touch and it will be tough to get the device to respond like it's supposed to after trying a hack on it. I think it is very poor of someone to "fail" at hacking this device especially with a high tech knowledge, then to rate the device a 2 because you messed it up.

Great Player
Pros: The screen is beautiful. I've loaded 2 movies, all my songs, and 25 episodes of Geas, and it was only 1/2 full. No comfort problems watching movies or anything.
Cons: Not jail-breakable, yet. No expansion slot. No removable battery. Itunes is so bad...takes forever to load when compared to Windows Media Player.
Other Thoughts: There are lots of good free apps in Itunes app store, but 10 dollars for an app that you have to pay for, I don't think so. I'm using the full body shield from bestskinsever and so far, not a scratch. Bought at a Circuit City

The Best Ever So Far
Pros: I can sum it all up in one word "AMAZING"I purchased this for my wife to upgrade from her 3rd GEN iPod Nano 8GB and she was overwhelmed with excitement, it was like I bought her jewelry. The touch screen works perfect and the WiFi works like a champ,it is like having a miniature MacBook in your hands. I am also very impressed with it,now I have to buy one for myself.Apple just keeps pumping out the best products and seek to amaze me what's next.
Cons: Battery could be better when WiFi is enabled but I am sure there will be an update soon to fix this problem, other than that no cons.
Other Thoughts: Like always Newegg is very quick processing my order. Thanks again

Issues
Pros: It was great for the first few weeks and i could use it for quick references, internet, podcasts, music, games, graphing calc
Cons: Just decided it didn't want to go back to the home screen one day, then decided it would only do a partial restore (meaning it deleted all the data, then decided it didn't want to reinstall). This problem is only compounded by the fact that well, apple hates anyone who knows computers, meaning if you run a 64 bit version of any windows, your in for a treat. their website requires that you jump through about 20 hoops to get that version of the installer for itunes, then doesn't work at all with the xp 64 bit version unless you change the launch parameters with orca from 600 to 501...they just added an arbitrary exclusion of xp x64 versions.
Not as bad but easily annoying if you ever look around at 3rd party software, apple only allows specific apps on their app store, and if you work around this by "jail breaking" your ipod or iphone, it will cause the device to lock up next time you update AND void your warranty..
Other Thoughts: This is what i get for finally caving in and getting an ipod instead of creative.

Just what I needed.
Pros: Multi Touch screen, battery life, thin, big screen
Cons: Built in speaker isn't THAT loud. It's fine for "casual listening." They were sold out of the 8gb models at Circuit City. Bought the 16gb.
Other Thoughts: Can't be jailbroken, yet. I wasn't aware of this yet when I first bought the device.

slightly improvement
Pros: I've use this for about 2weeks and it has everything except the phone feature. Slightly thinner than 1st gen and half as thick as iPhone 3g but whatever you're getting, they all feel very nice in hand. Since the price of tho iPod is the same as iPhone 3g, I return the iPod and get that instead. With iPhone I get phone+Internet and gps. I wouldn't consider the contract a cons because now I can do everything on this phone without carrying multiple devices.
Cons: Ipod touch is the same price as iPhone, it should be lower. $80/m is not much considering you have an all in one device.
Other Thoughts: if your phone contract are over then the iPhone is much better and you don't mind that +$30 data plan anywhere Internet usage/3g. If you still have a long contract then there are places that sell them with just 2yr to your exsisting plan and stay with Ut phone company.

Very good so far
Pros: Sound quality: 3/5 The sound quality isn't exactly great on it, but it still is pretty good overall. The internal speaker is decent, the only real use I see it having is to play the menu sounds, but thats about all that sounds good
Interface: 5/5 Apple certainly nailed the interface, everything is easy to use and accessible Apps: 3/5 Currently there is no jailbreak available, and I'm not paying $1-10 just for stupid ipod apps, so points off there. The apps that come with it are well made, though. The only extra apps I have on are the graphing calculator, air share, and tap tap revenge. Durability: 5/5 I take it everywhere with me, the back is hardly scratched and the screen is currently scratch free, and the cleaning cloth that apple packaged is actually pretty good.
Overall its a fun and useful accessory, yet has room for improvement
Cons: Why cant you just accept the fact that most ipod owners jailbreak it Apple? Cant you just let hackers be hackers and jailbreak their pods? Sound quality also isn't as good as my old 3rd gen nano or my old old creative zen.
Other Thoughts: blah blah blah jailbreak whine whine, I cant help it.
