Rating + 4 SD card problems... Read before you buy.

Pros: Nice player. Small size.

Cons: This is from Creative's site.

Note - As the SD card is accessed as a removable drive, advanced features of the player such as; playlists, searching by artist, album, etc., will not be available. If you would like to use the advanced features of your player, you will need to use your PC to transfer the SD content to your player's internal memory.

I bought the 4 gig model knowing I could add a 16 gig SDHC Class 6 card. PS. The card works great. But, the files on the card do not integrate in to the software within the player. Very bad. You have to browse to the folders manually and play your songs. So, that also means no play lists. My wife is not happy. :(

Card slot is a good place for videos though, since videos are just one file per movie and you don't need playlists.

Rating + 4 EXCELLENT player for the price!

Pros: Where to start. I've had this player for almost 2 years now (bought for about 40 bucks more than it is now), and everything still works great. I'm somewhat of an audiophile, and though the sounds quality on this is nothing special, it outperforms most other mp3 players by a mile. The customizable EQ actually works, and doesn't distort your music too much. The included earbuds are mediocre, but if you get some decent headphones, this player will amaze for the price!! The durability is incredible too. I've taken this to work on a construction site many times, I've dropped it into two creeks and more than a few cans of various cleaning chemicals, still works like a charm. The screen will scratch (come on, it's only plastic), but a little buffing will get it out. The FM radio is pretty good, the mic is great for such a small player, and the SD slot is INVALUABLE!

Cons: Creative software....don't even bother. I updated my firmware with an open-source upgrade that made the player much more useable, and I pretty much only use Windows Explorer to transfer and organize my music. Invest in a good video converter if you plan to watch many videos on this thing (I play all mine from an SD card), as the format restrictions are absurd. It plays pretty much anything that's DRM-free, but sometimes it will balk trying to load m4a (AAC) songs. Get handy at using the little reset button on the bottom, mine manages to freeze on a regular basis.

Other Thoughts: Overall, one heck of a good deal for an mp3 player. It's a little old now, but if all you need is a solid mp3/mp4 player with good sound quality and a relatively easy interface, look no further. The price just can't be beat for the quality, and the durability is amazing, this thing will last forever. As always, kudos to newegg on customer service, I almost had to send mine back as a lemon (why I upgraded the firmware), and newegg was awesome.

Pros: Small size, SDHC memory card reader

Cons: have to navigate separately to get to files on the memory card. Knew this before though.

Other Thoughts: reads Kingston 2gb SD and 16gb SDHC Class 4 cards flawlessly.

my unit is recertified, I bought it on sale here. Works just as good as new.

Pros: It played music, included headphones were sufficiently good.

Cons: Somewhat poor battery life, easily scratched, stopped working after 6 months, its now living the rest of its existence as a paper weight.

Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere.

Rating + 5 Great product

Pros: Great size. Large screen. 4GB of memory is more songs than I own. Menu navigation is easy and intuitive. Easy to add files.

Cons: Newegg shipping slower than standard. Ordered on 1/1/09 (yes, I know its a holiday) and it arrived on 1/7/09.

Other Thoughts: I had received an off brand Mp3 player from another Electronics store, however the interface was horrible and it would freeze on the splash screen so I returned it and bought one of these. So far its fantastic.

Rating + 3 Not bad

Pros: Great interface, easy to navigate and the video/picture feature is nice, screen is quite large for the size of the total player, and it has a bright clear picture.

Cons: Started "white screening" on me after about 8-9 months-(turn the player on and theres nothing but a white screen) you can lock it and like the screen turn off then unlock it and it SOMETIMES brings the screen back. The trick has stopped working completely now, and its almost impossible to navigate and find your music.

Also the memory expansion slot is more like a place to store your memory sticks-there is no SD card/main memory integration which means you have to navigate to the SD card(which is impossible with a white screen) and find the folder with your music in it and play it.

Other Thoughts: Was good for a awhile 4gb was more than enough memory imo, wasnt too upset about the memory card problems(although it is VERY easy to put in the firmware, Creative refuses to do it for some reason even though there is over 700 post about it in their forums about ppl not buying the product because of it.)

I should have spent the extra 20-30 bucks and got an ipod or something a bit more reliable, im done with creative. They have nice products....but they dont last more than a year usually.

Rating + 3 Fairly good player, good price

Pros: Very sleek and thin, shiny, vibrant screen, very good battery life. Relatively cheap compared to other players.

Cons: Mediocre play controls: no on-the-fly custom playlist creation; something you miss if you're used to it. It's fairly locked-down: you can't view text files unless you convert them to thousands of jpegs, you can't edit song metadata or rename files from the player, and you have to use MTP to copy songs and data.

Other Thoughts: You have to use Windows Media Player to copy music or your music's ID3 tags will be truncated or stripped. MTP support in Linux is _extremely_ poor: take a look at libmtp & mtpfs for FUSE, or Gnomad.

Rating + 5 Nice player

Pros: I needed something to hold small videos and music on. This fits the bill perfectly. The FM tuner is a nice touch as well. I purchased this when it was on sale here for $68.00. Even at the current price I feel it is well worth the asking price.

Cons: The headphone cable is used as the FM antenna. Radio fades in and out frequently when the cable is moved around.

Other Thoughts: A very nice player that you'll be happy you purchased.

Rating + 4 A great MP3/MP4 player for teechies

Pros: Battery life is very long. The screen looks fabulous. 4GB is a very good amount. A SD slot for memory expansion. Decent sound. Very small. Very durable, I have dropped it a few feet several times onto a hard floor. It also has a password controlled volume lock to prevent the volume from being turned up past a certain point. Its software has a good video conversion program. It can be loaded with music very easily by a drag and drop system. It can also be used as a thumb drive. Its earbud headphones are also a very decent quality.

Cons: Beware, this player comes with very little information in the manual. Figuring it out can take quite some time. The microphone is not that great, at least not compared to the cheaper SanDisk Sansa players. It is good enough though. It will take a great deal to try to get videos from youtube onto it because the video conversion program it comes with doesn't recognize FLV files, so a second program is needed. When you turn the volume lock on, it is not easy to notice because the volume can go past the set limit visually, but the sound just won't increase past the set max. To get good battery life when listening to MP3s, the player needs to be set to 'hold' as the screen will only shut off when a MP3 is playing and the player is on hold.

Other Thoughts: It is a shame that this player doesn't have good instructions which makes it difficult for "technologically challenged" people. It is possible that you could be finding features on it after even a month of use. To put the player on "hold", you push the on/off switch up till it locks into place. (The switch is pushed down to turn it on/off)

I absolutely love this player, but I have always enjoyed trying to figure things out like trying to find everything this can do and how to operate it. If you don't want to mess with figuring out this player, this isn't for you. This would be a hands down AWESOME player if it came with full instructions.

Rating + 4 Great player

Pros: Pretty to look at, good video screen, decent memory size, easy to use and small. long battery life if you use the hold option. (turns screen off to conserve power)

Cons: Very short usb cord, memory card expansion dosent seem to work well. Software isnt the best but you dont have to install it to use the player.

Other Thoughts: I wouldnt recommend using the sd card slot as ive heard of a few failing (white or black screen of death) after using it. This has happened to me already but i removed it and reset the player and seems to work fine now. Although this can be a compatibility issue i dont wanna chance a permanent fail. This is why i only give it a 4 of 5. Other than that im very impressed with the player.

Pros: Stocked full of features and functionality, excellent quality sound and video, very solid and well built, why would anyone pay 3x as much for an i-thing when you get the same for less. Don't pay for a name, buy for cost, quality, and quantity of features!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I own a couple of these, very easy to use, simple navigation, packed full of features, easily sync with outlook for tasks, contacts, and calendar, very easy to add or delete music/video, etc...

Rating + 5 Awesome, just awesome

Pros: This thing is awesome. Had a nine hour flight from Chicago to Maui and was able to watch all over 2.5 hours of movies during that time (thanks to the in flight movie system crashing). I did a lot of research and this one best fit my needs. Built in FM radio works well enough.

Cons: Difficult to rip movies. I consider myself technically gifted and I had to fiddle with this for an entire afternoon to get something that would work. It took me two different softwares to get this working. I guess they don't want you to rip DVDs that you OWN.

Other Thoughts: GUI is extremely easy to use, I really like this thing. My only issue with it is that you cannot mix the music on the internal memory with the music on the cards, but I've got less than 4 Gig of music anyway, so it really only matters when I've got movies on the internal memory.

Rating + 3 Good and Bad

Pros: Excellent price for the features. Holds a ton of music and audio books. Great audio quality (with good headphones or through your amp). Plenty of volume to spare through headphones. Big, bright, gorgeous display. The interface and buttons are very easy and intuitive to use - much better than the "other" brand IMO.

Cons: It occasionally crashes badly enough to require you to push the reset button with a paper clip. It usually recovers, but this can be very frustrating. VERY short USB cable - but my longer camera cable works with it. It ignores how you organize your music, displaying it using the ID3 tags instead, which are sometimes not correct. Battery time is no where near the claimed 25 hours. It was about 8 when I first started using it, and settled down to around 14 hours after a number of charge/discharge cycles. Ear buds that come with it are lousy. The FM tuner is not very sensitive.

Other Thoughts: I would buy one again; however, I'm a geek and don't mind the resets or mass ID3 changes to make it do what I want. If you just want to plug it into your computer and have it work without any fussing on your part, this is probably not the unit for you. It is slippery. That hasn't been a problem for me, but buy a case if it will be for you. 2.5 inches is way to small for my eyes to watch movies on, but bigger than most of the competition if that's what you're buying it for. It really is a nice unit - it would be a 5-star if Creative had bothered to debug the firmware so it didn't crash. Must be they have pointy-haired bosses there.

Rating + 5 Just right

Pros: Plays music :P , great picture/video quality, expandable memory, small and light weight , good battery life. Dosen't require programs to upload music to it.

Cons: Slippery, finger prints show up easily on face. Small selection of cases for it. Have to manually access memory card songs. Have to use video converter software to watch videos on it(and the software sometimes makes bad quality vids from good ones). Very short usb cord.

Other Thoughts: Overall i like this player, its a big upgrade from my old sansa 1 gig. You can edit play lists from player menus and many other features you will find on more expensive players. The software isn't that great but not as bad as others, and you dont need to install it if you just want music.

Rating + 5 Love it

Pros: Great product, love dragging and dropping media. The 4GB model is plenty of space for all the media I'd want, plus the sd slot adds significant potential space. Love watching videos on here.

Cons: The FM isn't very strong, and I rarely use it because it has trouble finding reception. The software to convert videos is a bit slow, but if you can find a better one, there's no stopping you from using that one.

Other Thoughts: The screen scratched up very quickly for me, it was pretty stupid of me not to buy a protector. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Rating + 4 Works

Pros: It plays my mp3s. Expandable through SD cards. No touchy click wheel. (I hated changing the volume with that thing)

It holds a charge pretty well, not hard-drive based. Screen is big and bright, able to see song titles and stuff in the sun.

Cons: I heard the software wasn't that great so I didn't install it.

Display doesn't really turn all the way off while charging or idle. Have to turn it face down if you are charging it in your room while you are sleeping.

Other Thoughts: My iPod 5.5G (video) busted a chip, making a horrible screeching noise whenever you tried to listen to it. Of course it happened right after the warranty ran out.

Since all I want is something that will play mp3s, this thing is perfect for my needs. I thought about getting the Zune, but I'm a little gun-shy about dropping a few bills on another mp3 player after my experience with my ipod.

Rating + 5 I love this thing

Pros: I love this thing - very easy to use, remarkably clear images, I listen to a lot of podcast and audio books while I travel or in the gym. it is the perfect size for these activities.

Cons: Yes it handles storage cards as an add on storage element and some of the functionality of the main memory is not extended to the memory card - but it should not be seen as a show stopper. The cards can add a significant amount of storage space at a remarkably low cost.

Other Thoughts: Video clips have to be converted prior to use on this player. The converter software that is provided is pretty slow, but the file size is reduced and you still have excellent graphics.

Rating + 4 Good little MP3 player

Pros: Good sound, decent battery life, nice display-There's even an SD card slot.

Cons: It seems no one makes MP3 players with replaceable batteries anymore. Also, I'm not too crazy about the earphones either. The SD card slot could have been intergrated a whole lot better too-I hope Creative is capable of fixing this with a future firmware update.

Other Thoughts: If you are having trouble accessing the SD card,go to the main menu-then insert SD card and go to Memory Card to play your files. For some reason, when you put in the card with the player powered off,it WILL NOT detect the card when powered back up,the player needs to be on to detect the card to begin with. Another issue is the fact that you have to select Removable Disk for your computer to even be able to write to the memory card. Overall, this is still a pretty good MP3 player.

Rating + 5 Great Product

Pros: After having several mediocre MP3 players, I finally decided to get a MP4 player and got it this past January. All I can say is great product!

Very easy to use, very appealing and good support. The sync manager takes your video, audio and pictures and transfers/converts over to the zen.

Cons: My only complaint is I had upgraded to a new version of the firmware, which in turn messed up my Zen. I found out you needed to downgrade and it was a bit of a hassle, but it's fine now and I didn't lose anything.

Other Thoughts: Overall if you are looking to buy an affordable MP4 player and don't need 20 GB worth of media, this is a great buy.

Rating + 4 Good Player for good price

Pros: Good MP3 player for the price. The old creative labs player finally died, and buying another of the same brand seems to have worked just fine. The menus/controls on it are a little harder to navigate through, but not a heavy MP3 user. Just add songs and play, not much more complicated then that.

Cons: Navigation (volume control) are a bit cumbersome.

Pros: The player works great, boots fast, good veiwer, good button setup (No spin-your-thumb-for-hours selector! :D). Has an EQ. The SD card slot is perfect if you use a 2gb card for a camera, you can swap it out like CD's if you have tons of music. The software lets you move songs real easy.

Cons: The two inch cable is only good if you have front ports (but most people have longer cables anyway). Would not for the life of me work with my PC at home. I run Vista (which is supposedly supported) but I could not get it to synch at all even after attempting the various fixes. Probably just my PC though.

Pros: Great excellent mp3 player does it all radio video, calender, sync your outlook, and you can use the sd card slot as picture viewer for you camera no formatting required to view pictures or use it to expand your library battery life is fantastic i use it every day and only have to charge it 1-2 times a week

Cons: like all creative zen products if you pop out the sd card slot while it reading it or shock the mp3 player it going to lock up and you have to push the reset button this has only happen to me 3 times so far and is not a big deal, sd card music is not integrated in to main library this is also not a big deal but a minor annoyance

Other Thoughts: i really enjoy this mp3 player the size also make it a super convent piece of hardware. also
with most mp3 players I-POD included the stock head phones suck there average at best go buy yourself some 10$ sony's or if your an audio freak like me go bose or audio technica for about 100-150$ i bought the 2gb version as well for my girl friend as well you which is not a big deal because you can get sd cards up 16GB

Rating + 4 Eh

Pros: Well - I got it for about $60 bucks - a sweet deal for a 4GB player. The screen is a pretty 320x240. Battery life pretty good.

Cons: You know I'm just not that impressed. I owned a 1gb iriver for many years - and other than the software SUCKING that little player was perfect - great sound - perfect nagivation system - long battery life.

This player takes a long time to turn on and off. Browsing between songs is clunky and laggy. It locks up regularly when playing videos (don't know if I encoded wrong or something) - Very few options: I can't disable album art - so if my song is tagged wrong, I have this huge picture of shakira on my screen when I'm listening to beethoven - PRETTY RIDICULOUS.

SD card browsing is separate from internal memory. The screen gets scratched way too easily - the buttons are HORRIBLE - terrible button design.

Other Thoughts: Well, I did a lot of complaining, but I got a 4 gb (which I made 8GB with a $20 4GB SDcard) MP3 player that plays video. So? Maybe I shouldn't be so picky?

In all seriousness - I want to be excited about this player - but it's just not that great. Totally worth $60 bucks though.

My biggest issue is that unlike my last MP3 player, you cannot store songs into folders and play the folders. So, unless you feel like making playlists for the next 60 days - finding the songs you want is going to SUCK.
If you want to play by artist or album- YOU CAN'T(without making a playlist). You can browse by artist, and then click on an album, and then a track. And when it ends? That's it. No sound - time to press the back button 5 times, and then find another song. dumb.

Pros: Great screen, very clear easy to navigate. The software it comes with is decent but not great, personally I just use Winamp and it works fine. Good battery life if you remember to put it on lock once ur music is playing (this turns off the screen). Better than ipod or zune for the price, got it for under $70, thanks NEWEGG, and it has all the features you could want in a small mp3.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: though it has shown no sines of wear or even come close to breaking, it is a plastic chell so it feels like it COULD break, but in reality it is very tough and Ive had no problems.

Rating + 3 An ok player......but

Pros: Nice little mp3 player for the money. Great sound & easy to read screen. Newegg, as always, is terrific on delivery.

Cons: Only feature I didn't like is the crapware supplied that must be loaded on your computer in order to transfer songs onto it. Device is not even recognized by XP unless it is installed. If not for this, I would rate this product higher. Having an internal battery that can only be charged on the computer is an inconvenience too.

Other Thoughts: This is my 4th mp3 player. Others that I bought were small and cheap so I wanted something better. But at least with the cheapos, songs were very easy to load onto the device.
And they didnt come with bloated software

Rating + 2 Nice...but...

Pros: Small, sleek, easy to navigate. Screen is beautiful...very bright and the colors are spot-on. Plenty of volume and lot's of control over the sound (nifty EQ settings). This is a product you can start using right away because the layout is very intuitive. Kudos on the overall design and price point of this player.

Cons: After only a couple of hours the screen went black and it no longer responded while connected to the USB port on my computer. I had to use a paper clip in the 'reset' hole. Not a very comforting feeling. Creative has got to get their firmware up to par; more and more user experiences and reviews like this are going to kill an otherwise very nice product. Not cool that I'm going to have to make sure I carry around a paper clip with this player since who knows when it will decide to lock up again.

Other Thoughts: Creative, please get your firmware under control! This is a well designed product that you are killing with your software quality. I bought this specifically to stay off the iP*d bandwagon...please don't make me regret that decision.

Pros: Good player Sounds good I play books from audiable.com in the car through my cassatt player or through radio. (with adapter.) have had no problems with player. I do recommend buying case or protector for unit. So far unit does everything I need it to do and more. Battery life is great.

Cons: I agree USB connector is short. I use an extension cable or another longer USB cable. Other than that I have run into no problems

Other Thoughts: I have owned The Zen xtra, Zen Vision M and sansa unit

Rating + 3 Ok at best

Pros: The ZEN is a cheaper, sleek looking, small portable media device.

Cons: Doesn't offer Linux support. Cant fast forward avi files or create video playlists. Wall charger is extra. Cant upgrade firmware without windows (which is stupid)

Other Thoughts: I am still struggling on getting the menu's customized to only include the options I would use. The user manual sent worthless as is the online one.

Rating + 1 was good till WsOd x2 :////

Pros: excellent screen/size

easy nav once one gets used to it

size

batt life!

fm radio works well in a huge warehouse

Cons: where to start, the 1st player constant lock ups and or random shutdowns, firmware changes did nothing. owned it for 6 months before WSOD. even tho player worked it had white screen.

2nd player lasted 2 days, i have trashed this player and am now never buying anything "creative" again. tho this player did go into the washer and worked after coming out, it WSOD the next day

screen scratches way way to easy.

any improper attempt at connecting via usb will send unit into safe mode.

usb cable to to short = many improper usb connect attempts.

earphones included SUCK, not in sound but IN COMFORT!!!.

included software to convert audio video, easy to use but video/audio is hard to get synced correctly, and just plain takes to long to convert video for quality given

no continued SD intergration

Other Thoughts: overall choose a diffrent player for your $$$$ not worth the heartache

if you must have it.

be prepared to get new headphones "you have been warned"

get a screen protector, keep out of pockets with keys and or other simaular objects.

make sure to check pockets before washing your cloths :///

Rating + 4 Great Mp3/4 Player

Pros: Great sound, great video, low price. Small and light weight. Very easy to use, both in/out of player. Good lighting and decent viewing angles on screen, good volume control, Preset/custom EQ, FM radio, organizer and all the other extra junk you dont really need but why not have it anyway.

Cons: Video Converter that came with player would not encode most of my videos. Other people online had same problem, just use another video converter of your choice. Worth mention thou. Also, had it freeze up first time testing mic, no prob since then but again to let you know. No standard protection of any kind in package, though not a huge concern imo.

Other Thoughts: This players screen is covered imo well enough to warrant seeing the player for yourself before buying a case. I most likely will get one down the line but I dont see it as necessary as I doubt very highly I would scratch the screen (same as my phones front screen and carry it w/ keys everyday no scratches)

Rating + 4 Great Player!

Pros: *Size is terrific for holding or putting in your pocket
*Buttons are (generally) easy to push, feel solid
*Screen size is terrific, crystal clear, vivid
*Headphones and USB connection are solid (USB cable is VERY short, but works for my PCs and I don't need another bulky USB cable, if I need a longer one, I'll use one from my devices)
*SD card clicks in solid, won't accidentally eject it, easy to navigate to content
*The management software is nice, easy to use, I've used it rather than WMP so far. Haven't tried it with WinAmp yet.

Cons: *The only con, and the reason I didn't give 5 eggs is the earbuds are terrible. They're not just terrible, they're really terrible. I'm not talking sound quality, I'm talking about big and clunky, don't fit my ears at all, wouldn't stay in my ears on a simple walk to/from the train. They are just plain uncomfortable! I went ahead and shelled out another $20 for a serviceable pair of earbuds (I don't need great sound quality, I need 'em to fit) so having to shell out the extra money right off the top keeps them from getting an Excellent mark. Other than that, there is NOTHING wrong with this player and Creative has put together a GREAT MP3 player to rival any out there.

I haven't had to bookmark content on the SD as 4GB on the main memory is plenty for audio books or podcasts that you might want to bookmark. Having the ability to store pictures on the SD and share with friends and colleagues is great, leaving all my audio on the main memory.

Other Thoughts: I bought the Creative Zen clear case when I ordered the player, and I'm happy I did. It completely encases the player, including the screen, and I feel very confident having it in my pocket or throwing it in my bag for work. Get the clear case and never worry about scratching your screen. Get new earphones with it too, you'll need 'em to really enjoy the player. Once you've got 'em, you will really enjoy this player.

I haven't had any freezing issues, and after reading reviews here I went and downloaded the firmware right away. When I went to install it, it said it was the same version, so no need for an update *shrug*

Pros: Nice screen, small and lightweight.

Cons: Terrible interface. Bad sound. Cannot simply copy music/movies to it or use it as storage. First thing that popped-up after installing their software was: you must have latest version of Windows Media Player installed, and it quit. What a piece of trash.

Other Thoughts: I used to own a Creative player long time ago. It had this terrible interface back then, where you had to go through thousands of steps to simply copy your music to the device. I decided to try a Creative product again. Still same trash, just shinier.

Rating + 5 Wonderful and NOT Ipod

Pros: A very nice tiny package. Smaller than most cell phones. Using FairUse Wizard and Cucusoft conversion programs there has been no problems with the Zen software putting the videos on the unit. It also supports the high capacity SD card we bought from Newegg. My 8 year old daughter loves this as her birthday present.

Cons: What is stored on the separate SD memory card is not integrated into the main menus. Maybe Creative will think about that in their next firmware upgrade. It would also be nice if it supported .mp4 video formats but you can't have everything for this price point.

Rating + 5 Best player at this price

Pros: Lightweight, feature-rich, standard connectors, expandable capacity, good sound

Cons: Sealed battery

Other Thoughts: I never was a fan of the iPod, and as Apple has continued to ratchet up their capacity with prices to match, I've been looking for a good, cheap alternative. In addition to a 20gb iPod, I own a Creative Nomad Jukebox, the ORIGINAL hard-disk MP3 player (that's right kids, Apple did not invent this segment).

This Zen player has just about everything I was looking for, and corrects a lot of the things I hate about the iPod.

No, it doesn't work with iTunes or Apple AAC format, but you know what? That's not a disadvantage. Tell Apple where they can stick their proprietary formats nonstandard connectors and buy a Zen.

Rating + 5 Top Grade for what it is

Pros: Easy to operate, superb graphics for pics and movies. 4gigs and an extra slot for sd memory card for expansion.
Music and audio books sound great. FM radio is top notch.
Received item in 2 days.

Cons: 1-Internal, non-replaceable battery takes 4 hrs to charge from the USB port on a POWERED UP computer. It does not have a battery charger included ($30 option from Creative). Wont charge from a USB hub.
2-Only records from the mic. Does not record FM broadcasts - which I bought the thing for anyway - to record meetings.

Other Thoughts: There was no specification page on this item when I ordered it so I did not know what it really would do and would not do.
It's like buying a 'pig-in-a-poke'. I did not like the surprise I got when I found it would do everything but what I wanted it for.

Pros: Cheap, large screen, SD card slot, radio, fits in wallet.

Cons: Cheap headphones, touch buttons are sketchy, poor integration of SD memory. Saw white screen of death twice (latest firmware), short USB cord (still fits in wallet though).

Other Thoughts: Great player for the money. Apple players of similar caliber cost twice as much.

Rating + 5 Great player

Pros: Light weight, big screen (relatively speaking), exceptionally crisp display, plenty of options, good battery life, and nice sound quality.

Cons: Can’t swap batteries.

Other Thoughts: This player is great, not having the ability to swap batteries is the only down side (and probably not a big deal for most). I use this player primarily on my weekly commute from Phoenix to NYC. If I want to watch a couple of movies it is pretty tight on the battery life. Otherwise I love this player and the SD expansion slots are great. As some have mentioned they won’t integrate into your main play lists but then 4 gigs gives you a little over 1000 songs at 3 minutes each… I let you do the math. If you are looking to store your entire data base of songs on a player though you might want to look at something with 20 or more gigs of space. I found the software easy enough to use and some people have complained about the time it takes to convert videos but even on my ancient laptop it’s about 2 hours per movie. (My mid to high range desk top does it in about 30 minutes and I’m sure a decent quad core would do it in less time than that). That’s pretty good for a 1/3 compression.

Pros: Has just about everything you could want... Plays music/videos/radio and even has a mic recorder and an expansion slot if you need more space! I love the fact that you can listen to music and view photos at the same time. It kills time on those long trips pretty well. Compressing videos takes forever even for the small ones, but they come out looking great and taking very little space once they are done.

Cons: The USB cord has absolutely no lenght to it which is OK for a laptop but if you're going to hook it up to a desktop, I recommend you buy a longer cable. I wish you could charge it and listen to music off of it at the same time without playing music through the PC.

Other Thoughts: I was a little skeptical about the screen size and orientation at first, but overall I think it's excellent, the screen is huge and very nice quality for pictures/videos. I got scared once when the unit stopped responding after a couple of weeks of not using it... Turned out that the battery was completely drained. Fixed it by leaving it plugged in to charge for about an hour before I got it to boot up.

Pros: Large screen, features, size, weight.

Cons: Last only a week with less than 30 mins of use. Did some research after purchased, turn out this is Creative problems (this model) some last very long some last less than an hour, probably good idea to pay $15 more for an yr warranty.

Other Thoughts: As usual, NewEgg customer service was excellent, the replacement is on it way, hope this one will last.

Rating + 1 What's The Problem

Pros: None

Cons: This is the second unit i received in 30 days. the first one lasted about 2 days before it would freeze up everytime you turned it on. After returning it, i received the second unit and it lasted for 2 songs before it froze up again. Resetting does absolutely nothing. The unit plays as follows "turn it on-frozen-reset-turn it on-frozen" so whats the problem. And yes the firmware has been up dated.

Other Thoughts: Get an I-Pod if you can afford it.

Rating + 4 Very portable and colorful display

Pros: Got this last week and I've been using it daily. It boots up in under 10 seconds and remembers where I left off on the last song I was listening to. This is true as well for the video. Uploading is easy and the video conversion program it comes with is handy. Volume control and play options are easy to find.

Cons: Player smudges easy so I need to find a case soon. Video conversion with the included program takes a long time. For a 165 MB file it took around 1 hour and 15 minutes to covert. Creating albums and playlists can only be done with the manager on the computer. So far the player has only hardlocked on me once and the reset button fixed it.

Other Thoughts: Even with its flaws this is still a great player. Light-weight and ease of functions make it a great thing to just have and carry around. I bought it when it went on sale and I'd have to say it was worth the $XX I spent here to get it.

Pros: I've had my ZEN for a lil over 6 months now and not had a single problem with it. I use it to work out, ride my bike and also use it at work to clean my machine on Fridays. It gets bounced around alot and i've never had it skip or anything..
Ipods have nothing on this lil unit--I have close to 100g of music on my PC, and continue to switch out the songs all the time. I don't have to spend 99 cents on a song from somewhere else and only be able to use it on their MP3 players (Apple)

Cons: Wish i would have bought the 8g instead, but not a single complaint from me-- I luv this lil device--

Pros: Purchased locally. Outstanding video, impressive sound, easy to use interface.

Records voice well, FM reception better than I expected. Picks up strong urban stations.

Cons: Earphones are terrible (as they usually are with these devices), wish I could save the dollar and not have them included.

Video usually needs to be converted.

Scuffs a little easily, but can't tell with most video content.

SD card content doesn't integrate into rest of menu, but you can play audio (and probably video if converted) directly from it.

Other Thoughts: Accessories a little pricey.

Rating + 5 Great MP3 player and great price!!

Pros: This is only my second mp3 player I have every owned, the first was a 256MB iRiver that had a FM radio feature included had no video screen, that was 3 years old. I had never really used it for the mp3 but for the radio. Let me tell you going from the iRiver to this Zen is like upgraded from a beat up Volkswagon Beetle to a top of the line BMW.

I've have had this almost three months now and I love this player!!, its simple, works great...sleek. Battery life at full charge is about 7-8 hours for MP3 listening, however its less with radio listening and especially Video watching on the very nice 2.5" screen its bright and crisp. 4GB internal memory and a very nice bonus the SD card slot! for adding more storage!!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: For the price of $89.99 from NewEgg is a great deal! Thanks Newegg! Creative did a excellant job on the design and function of this player. and its about the size of a credit card but thicker, so its very portable. There are also 8, 16 and 32GB internal memory versions of this player. My budget led me to the 4GB,
I would HIGHLY recommend this Zen to anybody!! It's the best choice I made in a MP3 player!

Rating + 5 A Great Buy

Pros: It is outstanding. I had a Creative Zen Vision 30 Gb for two years, I bought the Zen 8 Gb when it came out last year because it was smaller and lighter. My granddaughters have iPods, and I would never trade a Zen for an iPod. I load the Zen's 8 Gb memory with what my granddaughter calls "Geezer" music, pictures, and video clips that I down loaded from You Tube. I have used the video conversion program to convert several movies and TV shows, and then loaded them on 8 Gb SD cards. The different cards let you have a large assortment of music and videos. Also, using Sd cards, lets me remove the card from my camera and view my pictures.

Cons: I only con I have is that my wife liked the Zen so well that I had to buy her one also.

Pros: Great Battery Life, Lots of storage, Easy to use Menus and buttons. Nice Looking. Great Price. Loud enough.

Cons: Lite on the including instructions. No description of what the Software is. No Step by Step info on getting started.

Couldn't browse our network to find our networked Music and Picture Hard Disk. I had to map the network drive first.

Other Thoughts: Recommended. Very nice unit. Moves quickly from function to function. For the price you can't beat it. I bought the Extended warranty. I bought this for my wife who loves to listen to music and just got fed up with burning CD's, and the hassle, and not having them all play in the Car CD player. It took her an evening to figure everything out, like how to set a playlist on it. She is very methodical and hates to just jump into things.

It would have been nice to have a step by step instruction sheet, but there was only a very brief Quick Start..

We keep it turned almost all the way up when it is hooked up in the car. So the Volume may in fact be a little on the low side by default..

Cons: I have had this player for 3 months and have had to reset the player twice. The first time I did it I had only had it for 2 weeks and it just froze during playback. I found just downloading the player's update (even though my mp3 was already up to date) and installing it got it working again. The radio feature doesn't get great reception but that could be due to the headphones.

Pros: Everything worked according to the directions, excellent quality vs. cost. Software is very good for average user like me. This player goes above and beyond what I thought a mp3 player was able to do. Great easy screen to see and user controls are intuitive after a quick run through of the instruction. I have three other players and this stuff just keeps getting better.

Cons: Takes a bit of time to familurise oneself with the supplied software but I don't see how they could have made it any easier and still have all this functionality.

Other Thoughts: I made a mistake of some kind when I placed the order (a combo deal) and emailed newegg about it, they straightened it right out. I haven't recived the correction yet (no time) but I don't care how it ultimitly turns out as the product is so very good. Thanks to you newegg for your quick response and cooperation.

Cons: after having this player for a little over a month, it decided to glitch, and if i put it to sleep or turned it off for more than 2 hours it would not turn back on unless i use the usb cord and connect it to a power source. Cons: Songs on flash card do not integrate into your onboard library. Unit completely died after 5 days of use.

Other Thoughts: I hate giving this player a bad rating. I couldn't have asked for more from a $98 dollar unit. I was bragging about this thing until it died on me. I bought mine from wally world and they happily replaced it. Hopefully this second one will last a great deal longer than the first.

Pros: This is a fantastic small media player. It plays video very well (which was the reason I bought it). Audio sounds good, and is easy to navigate. Plenty of extras that are nice, like picture viewing, FM radio, etc. And the SD expansion slot is THE killer feature.

Pros: Sound quality is good, the screen is very vibrant as well. The FM radio is surprisingly clear given that it uses the headphones for an antenna. The voice recorder is also much better than I expected.

Cons: Like others have said the SD is separate from the on board memory, and the mini-usb cord that comes with it is really short. Shuffle isn't the greatest either.

Other Thoughts: To watch videos you have to encode them using the software that comes with the player. I was hoping you could just drag and drop but I've read it's like this for most players. My computer is really slow and it's takes a while to covert the videos so I haven't put much on there.

Rating + 1 Creative Zen White Screen of Death!

Pros: The creative zen is well priced and is a flash based drive instead of a hard drive. Large screen with nice range of colors(when the screen works). I bought two and one hasn't experienced the WSoD (see cons) and the other has and the LCD is only a white screen. I will be attempting to return both to Newegg today.

Cons: Google "Zen white screen of death". There is a very known issue about this player starting into a WSoD and never recovering. I have updated to the latest firmware and even though there are claims that it is fixed, it is not! The player plays you just can't see the screen. Creative tech support won't acknowledge it is a problem even though it is very wide spread from my research on the issue. Many of the solutions online didn't help my players though they did help some people.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this unit until the white screen of death issues are worked out.

Pros: I love this thing. I could care less how the card works. It works good enough for me ... I don't really need to keep every song I've ever heard. Rating + 4 Great but wish I had known this:

Pros: I agree with the other 90 reviewers. This is perfect for audiobooks, music and home movies. I was surprised that the recording feature worked very well and amazed at how well the radio works.

Cons: I agree, again with other reviewers.

Other Thoughts: What you NEED to know! Protected WMA content can only be put on the 4GM main memory NOT the SD card. I got the clear case but it scratches very easily so put the clear film protection on that instead of the player (or both)! The reset button is on the bottom of the player NOT next to the SD slot (there is another paper clip sized hole there). Usually I skip the software but the video converting and cd ripping software on this is fantastic, about 2 min per audio CD. Convert cds to the computer ONLY then just copy to the player - it seems to work faster and you can skip the extra folders it creates. The case allows you to clip it to your belt or wear it around your next - very nice. It took me a long time to figure out that if you choose "removable device" on the storage card menu, you can copy stuff to the card while it is still in the player but you do have to fuss a bit if you go back and forth between main and SD memory.

Rating + 5 Great choice

Pros: Small size, great price, great sound. Plays downloadable audiobooks from the library, using Overdrive. Video surprisingly clear. Shipped with most recent firmware update. Lots of main memory. Plays easily through a car cassette adapter!

Cons: SD card is not well integrated, just like everyone else says. Audiobooks ONLY play from main memory, not from SD card (couldn't tell until I had it, but it's not a deal breaker - just really glad I went with the 4 gig device!). Default recharging is only through USB - not a problem when I'm home, but I don't normally travel with a laptop. Easily remedied with a separate purchase, but an included AC adapter would have been nicer. Included earbuds are bigger than I like, they are quite uncomfortable to me.

Other Thoughts: Was trying to use my smartphone as MP3 player, but it wouldn't play in the car (its adapter is finicky about which connectors it likes, /sigh). I needed a device that would play audiobooks as well as music through both the car and headphones. A little frustrated with the SD expansion port, but would rather have it as is, than not have it at all! Ended up choosing this device for several reasons: 1. Plays downloadable audiobooks perfectly; 2. Cost for what you get is very good; 3. Big onboard memory; 4. Video was not a deciding factor but heck of a nice bonus! 5. SD expansion port is a super nice feature, hoping it gets better integrated at some point. Picked up a few extra 2gig SD cards along with the player. Same cards play in both the Zen and my Treo, nice bonus there too. Overall very happy with my purchase. Using an old altoids tin as a case, it fits nicely =)

Rating + 2

Pros: Small form factor, light, powerful, great GUI, SD slot.

Cons: I received this unit 4 days ago and RMA'd it back today for replacement. It froze about 18 times in during the initial 4 days, and gave me the white screen that a couple others have mentioned.

I know 5 people that have the same unit and they love it and haven't had any problems. I must just be unlucky. I tried to upgrade the firmware hoping it'd solve my problems but sadly it was already running the latest version.

Hopefully my replacement unit will be better. Rated a 2 because of having to RMA, but if my replacement works without freezing I'll be changing it to a 5...

Other Thoughts: I've spent close to $10k with newegg in the last few years and this is the first item I've ever had to RMA. Newegg rocks!

Rating + 5 very nice

Pros: play vids and music easilly, screen is very nice and the expandable slot is a nice change from my last ipod which had not expandable memory. unlike ipod, the conrols dont take up half the player so even though its small the sreen is still nice and big, also being able to delete on the go is a nice touch.

Cons: the ear phones that it came with are not that good i reccomend that you get the better ones that creative make they are very nice

Other Thoughts: i got the leather case with the zen which is really helpful with protecting it (i can be a bit clumsy) get the case if your like me

Rating + 5 Best player I've owned

Pros: Easy and smart interface. Sharp screen, simple software that works better than the competitor's versions (Especially iTunes). Extra SD card slot for added storage. Video converting is a breeze.

Cons: Short USB cable included. Stock headphones aren't that great.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, this is the best player around. After owning an iPod, iRiver and a Zune, I cannot adequately explain enough how much better this one is. The software alone seamless. It's the drag and drop without syncing that you wish iTunes could be, and not as buggy as the Zune! I wished I bought the 32G version!

Rating + 4 awsome!!!

Pros: all i have to say about this mp3 is that is awsome. the screen is beutifull and the thingh were you can change your wallpaper i love it it makes it look nice and also that it has a radio allready.

Cons: the only thingh that i did not like i wished that the memory card should function another way instead that of you have to go to your sd card in the menu to make it work and that if you exit out of a song or viedo it would stop playing its not like the memory of the mp3 player that even if you exit out of the song its still playing wile you are surfing trhough it.

Rating + 4 great player

Pros: Beautifully designed! I was debating between buying this or a sanza fuze but i chose this because of sleek design and the display screen. Pictures are displayed beautifully (not grainy). FM raido is great! The sizr is also a plu. overall great player

Cons: The only thing is the video formating. Converting videos is a headache. It comes with programs to convert videos to a compatable form but when I tried it, it didn't open with the player! i'm still trying to figure it out. Also, it only reads SOME of the files on my SD card...which was a disappointment.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure if i get this video thing sorted out that it will show amazingly since the demo vids are sharp.

Rating + 5 VG sound, Exc. Video, solid feel

Pros: The video is better than anything else I've seen, the sound is exceptionally good though I hear the Sansa Clip may be better.

Finding your music is a breeze, the included software (which you can also download from Creative dot com) integrates the Zen into your computer and converts video that isn't compatible (wrong codec, or right codec with wrong size, etc.).

Watching TV shows longer than 41 minutes can lead to headaches, but the picture is sharp enough that you can follow the action on Law and Order, for example.

The FM reception is fine for the city, not great but listenable especially if you're listening to talk.

Cons: The Zen doesn't integrate the SD expansion card well, it seems you have to import the songs/videos from the card into free space on the Zen itself before you can play them. This almost defeats the purpose of the expansion port.

Video conversion can take two hours or maybe more.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to record from FM, which this doesn't.

Nice ergonomically, though I still want my click wheel :)

Rating + 3 Research before purchase

Pros: Video looks and sounds amazing, music is awesome, radio is neat. Expandable memory slot is something even iPod users must envy.

Cons: White Screen of Death bug. Look it up before you buy. Apparently the firmware is messed up and the screen goes out. It happened a few times a week when I had had it for under a month, not a big problem just a nuisance. Then it just stopped ever giving a correct screen and was always white. Had to RMA with Creative as it was out of the 30 day Newegg policy. Still waiting for it back.

Other Thoughts: If your player gets the WSoD, I suggest returning it and getting a replacement as soon as possible as it will only get worse.
You cannot set your own stations or remove ones you don't want from the radio. It performs an autoscan skipping any weak stations you might want with no way of manually accessing them.

Rating + 5 overall a great buy

Pros: Well, to start off, this thing has great crystal clear sound. I recommend buying some nice earphones to compliment it. Plenty of features as well, an FM radio, microphone, video and photo viewer and more. The screen is bright and you can customize backgrounds and such. Haven't used the SD card slot yet, but I have a feeling it will be useful to some. Finally, this thing is small! Just like the picture, it is about the size of a credit card, slim too, slips into my pocket with ease. Great looking product.

Cons: Windows XP-64 is not supported by any driver, but thats a software issue, not with the mp3 itself. That just means you lose a few functionalities such as uploading playlists and using the organizer, but you can create playlists on the player, and just as long as it plays my music I'm happy. Just use a media player to sync your items to it.. very easy. Also, the cord is about 3 inches. Not a big deal for me, though.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great buy and a good value. Kudos to Creative once again!

Rating + 5 Best player for the money

Pros: Great design, great features. All that a player has to have nowdays. I will never buy an ipod, when I have a player that is cheaper, has a lot more features, like radio tuner, custom EQ, great display, simple Usb connection and charge and ...o yeah how about a SD memory card slot for expandable memory...you digg that Apple? Overall great player. I'm waiting for the prices to droop down so I can buy the 32Gb version. Or the 64Gb ?

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy it ;-)

Rating + 4 Nice player, NO SUPPORT!

Pros: Beautiful vivid display very user friendly and full featured. When it works that is!

Cons: The players display quit working at 4 months. After resetting, updating, etc. i called creative's "award winning" customer service. NOT!! I cant talk to a real person unless i pay a 14.00 charge. Tried email support, but can't get past the knowledge base! CREATIVE SUPPORT IS NON EXISTENT! No humans alive!

Other Thoughts: Terrific value if it doesnt fail. Spend the extra money for neweggs extended warranty. Money well spent!

Rating + 4 best bank for your $$$

Pros: excellent screen/size, easy menu navigation, bright screen. best overall bang for your buck.

Cons: kinda shiny for my liking, scratches way to easy. not really a con but mp3 USB port faults way to easy. has faulted twice in 2 weeks, but thankful for this feature!
USB wire is to to dang short its about 2 inches long,
as others have stated usb, power, headphone ports are all on the same side, bundle this with a 2 inch USB wire = no good, and a pain at best. headphones are bad and painfull after about 2 hours of use.

software for video conversion tho easy sucks and does not correctly sink audio/video, look for other programs for this they are better and way quicker

Other Thoughts: to people who have/had issues with it not powering up, use the reset button before channeling support, USB is very delecate with any USB device, any incorrect try at plugging it in makes player go into fault safe mode, thus not powering up and blowing up your pc or your player/wire, be VERY thankfull for this function as i have owned USB items that have no such fault protection and dang near sets the item/wire or pc on fire with past experiance on none fault USB items. consumer be aware and careful when plugging any USB device to a pc

SD card needs to be intergrated hope this company makes this happen, tho doubtful.

make sure to look for other headphones with this product to be the overall best player for your $$$

Rating + 5 AWESOME

Pros: My girlfriend absolutely loves it. She was very grateful ;) She uses it everyday almost constantly. the overall quality is amazing and supports all file formats i could think of. the screen is nice and clear. the controls are intuitive, or at least for us since i have a ZEN Vision:M 30GB.

Cons: IT DOESN'T MAKE CAPPUCCINOS!!!!

Other Thoughts: Bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas, when it was $xxx, from Newegg. i received it in time to be wrapped, she was so thrilled. Just don't step on it, the one time she wasn't using it I managed to step on it... so i ordered a second one, shipping was fast so she wasn't mad for very long.

Rating + 4 Great mp3 player at a great price!

Pros: Small, lightweight-with the creative silicone skin it clips to belt or pocket and is hardly noticable.
Easy to navigate menus, simple controls-easy to change songs when unit is not infront of you, easy to move around menu while on treadmill.
Expansion slot-add more songs or share with other machines that use sd(or micro sd with adapter).
Rating system on songs-rate the songs you like better and the player will shuffle them in more often.
XP reconizes unit right away and allows complete access without installing included software.

Cons: As stated before the expansion slot doesnt add the songs to your playlist, but treats them as a seperate players. Also the lock/powerswitch is right next the the headphone plug, makes it tough to switch it if your headphone plug has a 90degree angle to it.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully Creative is listening to its customers about making the sd card part of the main song list. As stated before, get yourself a screen protector and maybe the creative skins. They realy do a good job of protecting the player.

Rating + 5 Can't do better for the buck

Pros: I've been researching MP3 players for over a month now and I honestly don't know how this little gem slipped under my radar for so long. I admit, I wanted a LOT from my new player, for very little dough. ALL of my needs were met by this player, and then some. Key features I wanted: video support with a decent LCD, memory expandability, Audible support (audio books), portability (something small and light enough to work out with, without skimping on features), good sound quality, and support for both iTunes and non-Apple subscription services. Check, check, check, check, check, and CHECK. Features I wasn't looking for, but sure do appreciate: FM tuner, voice recorder, and personal organizer (also didn't expect it to display album art, but now I'm really nitpicking :)

Cons: As some other reviewers have pointed out, the USB cable that comes with the player is LOL short... about 5 inches end-to-end. It was so short, I checked and rechecked the box thinking there must be an included extension cable. Not so. That being said, any standard USB mini cable should work (and I have several). If you have a digital camera/camcorder or a Sony PSP/Playstation 3, you likely already have one.

Other Thoughts: I seriously cannot believe what this player offers for under a hundred bucks. A big, beautiful LCD, video support for WMV, MPEG4, DIVX, and XVID, full iTunes support, fantastic sound quality, standard SD memory expansion (a big plus since standard SD is much cheaper per GB than micro SD, and much harder to lose!)... and although it's slightly larger than the new iPod Nano, it's just as light, and all those extra millimeters are put to grand use (ie FEATURES). More icing on the cake: Attractive design (got a compliment at work from an iPod Touch owner), simple-yet-functional controls and user interface (when a player makes it this hard for you to hit a wrong button, you can live with almost any control scheme). NO, I DO NOT WORK FOR CREATIVE!

Rating + 4 Great product

Pros: It has an awesome screen wit great quality. I'm not much of a sound guy but it sounds pretty good to me. I have not gotten a sd card yet so I do know about that yet, but the ability to expand is a great option.THE battery life is amazing, I got almost 6 1/2 hrs from video

Cons: The screen is very easily scratched get a protective cover for it. All the accessories are expensive so be prepared to dish out more cash for them. When I first got it I was disappointed at the feel. It feels a little cheap. Plastic, but i HAve gotten over that.

Other Thoughts: It is a great product, and if you want to get a cheaper product instead of dishing out $150 for zune or ipod this is a great choice. I would recommend it.

Rating + 5 great product

Pros: Amazing player! Had a tough time getting it to work with Kubuntu(see other thoughts), but now that i have it working its great. Much better than my old d*ll pocket dj, that died a few weeks ago. Has great sound quality, haven't put any videos on yet, because i didn't want to deal with converting them. It also has a built in voice/sound recorder, and the fm radio is great.

Cons: Doesn't support many video formats; however i use my p*p for videos, because it has a bigger screen and supports formats I use. I don't like how playing music off the sd card works, it should be treated as part of the regular library and not as a completely seperate library. Hopefully a firmware update will correct this.

Other Thoughts: In order to get this to work on kubuntu u first need to remove libmtp6 and all programs associated with it. Then manually install libmtp7, currently not found in the repositories, and install mtpfs. Then the device must be manually mounted to the media directory, and must be mounted and unmounted everytime iI use it. Even after doing this I still get very unstable results.

Pros: It's from Creative. Always been satisfied with their product. This is no exception.

Cons: The default for the Media interface appears to be to sync your Zen to what is on the PC after your first file transfer to the Zen. My advice is to disable the sync function. Takes too much time if your just trying to load some MP3's to the Zen.

Pros: I like the color (Black), Ease of use, The movies look great on this player. Screen size is really nice. Overall not had a single problem with it since I bought it like 2 month's ago.

Cons: Wish it came with a protective cover. But thats not really a con. Cant think of nothing bad to say about this player.

Other Thoughts: Get a cover cause the screen looks like it's easy to scratch.

Rating + 5 Amazing product!

Pros: Video quality is outstanding! It's like having a mini HDTV in your pocket! Sound quality is as good as you should expect from Creative. I love how you can put tons of pictures on it, then make one your wallpaper. It adds that extra touch of customization. It even has an alarm if you want to take a nap and have it wake you up with music!

I'm getting ready to buy a memory card to put in the SD card slot to expand its capacity even further. So many features, you should buy it now!

Cons: Video conversion time is LONG. It took 3.5 hours to convert Pirates of the Carribean 3 to the right format. Even 20 minute episodes of Family Guy took upwards of an hour each.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any problems with it like other people have stated (freezing, crashing). I use the Creative software that came with the device and I installed all the firmware updates BEFORE I put any music, video, or picture on it. That's probably why people were having problems.
