Junk if you use AAC/M4A!
Pros: Nice size. Nice screen. Very vivid. FM receiver, which my wife wanted. SD slot. USB connection versus some proprietary one. Great menu layout.
Cons: Despite what the specs state, the device can not play AAC/M4A files. It supposedly can play AAC music encoded by iTunes only, but that does not entitle it to claim full-out AAC compatibility. If only I had checked Wikipedia's entry on the device I would have know before I purchased it. Creative quietly agrees on their support website but does not make any mention to the problems on the product's main site. My whole collection has been encoded with the Nero's AAC and FAAC encoders and, as such, are unplayable. Funny though that my iPod Touch does not have any issues playing these files.
Other Thoughts: Newegg comes through again delivering my order in 2 days!
Other similar devices have true AAC support and a FM receiver. Should have purchased one of those.

Great Player
Pros: I have used nearly every day for more than 8 months. It works great. I love the SD card capability. The video is remarkable crisp and beautiful color.
Cons: Using the software interface to put video on the main memory is slow, but I understnd the need for the conversion and the video looks great on the player
Other Thoughts: I am thinking of buying another one for my wife. I might buy the 2 gig. With the SD card interface I wouldn't buy anything more than the 4 gig.

Warranty is useless
Pros: Nice when it works
Cons: Broke after only having it for 5 months (actually a Christmas gift for my kids)
Other Thoughts: Creative Labs is useless. Website does not work, phone numbers put you in a endless loop where you can't talk to anyone. I'm not buying anymore creative products. Wasted over an hour trying to just talk to somebody with no success

nice
Pros: its great easy to transfer music and vid..
Cons: then only reall thing that bugs me is that the sd card does not sycn with the unit when you tranfer music you have to select the card on the menu and then tranfer. but you can sync the card to the player.. but not the player to the card.
Other Thoughts: i bought an 8 gig micro sd and have placed 10 movies on it..

What can I say but "AWESOME"
Pros: I always liked Creative Products. I was originally thinking of getting an IPod Touch. But, I don't have use for all the applications with it. I just wanted something to either listen to music or watch a TV/Movie on the go.
Cons: Screen is small.
Other Thoughts: Has 2GB hard drive. Need to research how high you can go with SD slot.

Great interface. Poor memory features!
Pros: Creative has a great interface and menu system. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Cons: If you are looking to add memory to this player and use with Napster, DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER. As many people have brought out, Creative still does not have functionality to inegrate the internal and external memory. It is VERY seperate. When syncing with Napster, the software won't even see the extra memory (unlike the Sanza Fuze which I highly recommend for this application). Until Creative gets thier act together and fixes this issue, this player is not worth the money when SanDisk makes an equally good player with memory integration.
Other Thoughts: The memory card issue is a deal killer if you care about adding memory. If not, it is a good player; no other complaints. But for the sheer fact that Creative's direct competitors do have memory integration, I would not buy this player or any other creative player just for the sheer fact that creative is stubborn and apparently does not care about keeping it's customers. Until they change thier architecture, steer clear of thier products. But don't take my word for it. Go on to Creatives' web site and get on thier user forum. There is a thread for this memory issue and you will be well enlightened there. I wish I had before I purchased this.

Not flawless, but it's a nice product
Pros: Compact, easy to use. Nice features, especially the SD card slot, which is SDHC compatible. It's a great companion for workouts, travel, and passing time. While the screen isn't the largest, it's quite clear and sharp. In addition to music, it's great for sharing photos. Surprisingly, the video playback beat my expectations.
Cons: -Firmware is buggy. About half the time, I must push the reset button as the unit gets stuck during power-on. Sometimes it even has problems shutting down. This is quite annoying. I would have given a 5-egg rating if it weren't for this issue - almost gave it 3-eggs. A straightened staple is perfect for resetting.
-Battery life is a tad suspect, though it's not a major issue. Use of the lock feature does improve performance.
-Minor nuisance: you can't rewind back to the end of the previous track once the next track has begun. I'm used to doing that, whether it's playing CDs or listening to audio via USB flash drive in my car.
Other Thoughts: I own the 4GB version (black).
Integration of the SD card isn't great, but it doesn't bother me. The SD card is a separate entity, and you must remove it from the player to add/remove files & folders. It's not possible to swap/copy files between the player and SD card, nor is the SD slot recognized on Windows Explorer (at least not in XP Pro).
My review does have a negative tone; but overall, it's a winner and lies somewhere between 3 and 4. I'd recommend this over any Apple product (no Crapple for me).

Sounds Good to Me
Pros: Audio - Clear crisp sound right out of the box, FM radio had descent reception Video - Crisp Picture no lag
Cons: Audio - Headphones are kinda cheesy and not super comfy, suggest buying a a better set Video - none other than it really chews up battery life (though this is to be expected) Extras - Alarm Feature, can only set 1 alarm and you need to use a sound file loaded, instead of justhaving a standard buzz, easy fixed by uploading your own Alarm sound Time/Date - as far as I've seen you need to manual switch it to the time screen, instead of having it be a screensaver setting of sorts
Other Thoughts: I've been using this player while at work, I can get almost 2 days of work (equally about 22hours of audio), video drained the battery after about 7 hours. The Software that comes with the player seems to have a bunch of abilities (though I've only used a very few of them). Video files need to be converted to a useable format using the included software, and takes a fairly long time to convert, but does compress the file size quite a bit allowing me to upload about 8hrs of video files.
All in all, even though I've listed more cons than pros, the cons are more to be expected and trival. Given the capabilites of player vs. the great price, I'm more than satsified with this purchase. Thank NewEgg for helping me perserve a bit of sanity during my work day. ;)

Good when it works
Pros: Works well, easy to use and navigate.
Cons: Freezes up regulary and has now locked up completely. there are 3 or 4 reset options that have always worked previously but this time it's dead in the water and is going back to Creative.
Other Thoughts: owned for 7 months, have had three previous Creative players in the family with no issues, even when we had to pick up the pieces and snap one of them back together, so this one, which was treated well, has been a big disappointment.

Good MP3 Player
Pros: Looks great, easy to use, bright and colorful screen. Software was easy to install and use. Long battery life.
Cons: During first week of use it locked up and had to be reset. When this happens you cannot turn it off until you reset it with a bent paper clip or pin. After reset it appears to work fine. It has now been working for several weeks without another lock up.
Other Thoughts: The shiny surface can scratch easily. I recommend getting a case to protect it.

Great player
Pros: Beautiful screen, big and vibrant. Very light but feels sturdy as well. Perfect size. Easily able to use it with Winamp with no problems at all. Navigation is simple. Love the Rarely Heard feature so I can easily listen to the songs I just added.
When the player automatically shuts off and I turn it on within an hour or so, it comes back on within 3 seconds which is insanely fast.
Cons: No case included. I've been buying Creative MP3 players for years and never had one not come with a case. Also, as has been mentioned, the included USB cable is about 6 inches long. If you don't have an accessible USB port I would recommend buying a longer one.
Other Thoughts: Very good overall for the price. Also able to use it as an SD card reader which is cool.

Pros: Bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas since her last mp3 player was years old and failing. So far she loves it. Decent storage, DJ option for randomizing music, nice screen, plays well.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I've been so impressed with it peripherally that I've considered upgrading from my Sansa e200 series player.

Pros: looking around, u can say that it is a pretty cheap (money wise) 2gig mp3 player w/ radio, recording, video viewing capabilities not to mention u can expand it's memory w/ the card slot (have a 16gig card in it atm & working great)
Cons: creative zen just needs to work more on their firmware so as to integrate/sync w/e's on the flash card into the 2gb memory
also, it'll only play video files that's stored in it's 2gb memory & wont play anything other than mp3/audio files from the expansion slot
Other Thoughts: pretty good bang for the buck, since i just wanted something cheap to take w/ me while i workout, w/e

Not to shabby
Pros: I like that it can handle several file formats but I had to find freeware and spend a couple hours of trial and error to find the right settings in order to get the file size and quality I wanted for video. Syncs up with windows media play easily. I like that it has a radio and can record conversations if need arises. Sound quality is good. Headphones are good.
Cons: I think for doing so much it lacks greatness in one particular area, overall a solid good, 4/5. It is affordable and offers features and a display that higher end models or brands have.
Other Thoughts: I would purchase it again, make sure if you buy a SHDC flash card that it had a quick read/write time and is approved by creative. I bought one which is almost painfully slow, I noticed after it was shipped, however it still plays media just fine.

Very Good Budget MP3 Player
Pros: Size:
Not much bigger than a credit card and thinner than most cell phones.
Build Quality:
Average, plastic construction. Textured plastic back cover is nice.
Controls:
On/Off/Lock button is easy to use. Navigation buttons are simple to find and use.
Screen:
Vibrant, good quality and bright.
MP3s sound great! Lots of EQ settings and ability to set your own Custom EQ. Adjustable volume and volume restriction. SD card adds unlimited storage! Easy navigation of the menus. Video playback is very good for a sub one-hundred $ player. Stores pictures/slideshows. Customizable theme/colors and wallpaper. Clock and Calendar as well as digital organizer.
Software:
Creative Zen Manager is easy to use. Included video converter is nice.
Ability to put songs on an SD card and then import them when in the player.
2GB size will hold (2) decent-quality full-length movies
Cons: - Buttons are very 'clicky' and feel hollow and/or low-quality - Included USB cable is LITERALLY 3 inches long. Not everyone uses a laptop Creative... - Only able to charge via USB cable - SD card is very hard to remove without another card or coin (card sits very low in the player and a silicone case makes it even more difficult) - Experienced a lockup while sync-ing mp3s with Windows Media Player - had to reset the Zen - Headphones that come with the Zen are low-quality - NEEDS a screen protector - Picky about Video formats/versions and resolutions - You NEED to use the included video converter to convert videos to the correct resolution - Some visible pixallation during video playback. - Slow transfer of files - importing via the SD card is faster - When transferring songs/video - the media manager does not include SD card space - only the space on the player. Best to load songs on the player or card exclusivly and videos on card/player.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this thinking I would be getting a decent budget MP3 player. That is just what I got. I don't have tons of songs so 2GB was plenty of space to hold a few of my favorite albums.
The ability to use an SD card is awesome! I can grab a 4GB SD card and throw 4 full-length movies on there. I plan on getting a case to carry the player, headphones and extra SD cards so I can always have a few movies and albums.
The only things I dislike about this player are the way the buttons feel - hollow and almost cheap; USB cable is too short and sync-ing music takes longer than just transfering music to an SD card and importing while in the player; you need to use the video converter to get the correct resolution; some slight pixelation during video playback but not a big deal.
All in all, you get quite a lot for a sub one-hundred $ MP3/video player.

Meh
Pros: Great sound quality. Easy features.
Cons: Bricked after a month of use. Don't know why. Tried to charge one day and then it shut off and when I tried to turn it on it didn't. Also didn't like the flimsy earphones it came with had to replace it after two weeks of use.
Other Thoughts: There are better MP3 players, IMO.

Ipod Smipod
Pros: This product wipes the thought of the Ipod from my mind...no problems what so ever...purchasing a second one for Ms. ...resolution is excellent for viewing vids...sound great (headphones play a big part in that)
Cons: Took a second for device to recognize SD card...but all is well...fingerprint smugging is a pain....
Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend gettin protect case...hold additional SD cards

SD expansion slot!
Pros: SD expansion slot! - Apple will come up with that on later models so you can buy more - its all about the marketing huh. Strong shell, easy to use and navigate menus, easy to learn and use software.
Cons: None so far but a TV out would be a nice addition...

Great MP3 Player!
Pros: Great software package, on the MP3 player, AND, the software for your computer. Easy to navigate. Easy to set up playlists. Easy to load music, pictures, or any other media. Great software for converting .avi files to the .wmv format used by the player. Plays videos with great clarity. 2GB is great for the normal user, but also great that it has SD Card capabilities too! Battery life is much longer than I anticipated.
Cons: The original ear buds that come with it... well... stink!! They are no good. Spend a few extra bucks and get yourself a set of Sony's! Other than that, that's the only complaint that I have about it.

Worked great for one month
Pros: Big screen, expandable memory, descent price
Cons: menu breakdown is sometimes painful to navigate. stopped powering on, or responding in any way to charge after about one month.
Other Thoughts: creative tech support is difficult to find, little to no help. email support was totally unresponsive. Lost the box with serial number in a move and was unable to get any help or restitution without it. DO NOT LOSE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER.

Great when it works right
Pros: Great picture and sound....easy to use interface
Cons: After about a month of my Zen working perfectly, the screen would sometimes be completely white. I couldn't use the display at all, but the sound still worked. I tried to reset it, but this doesn't work. After about a month of it doing this off and on and getting no help from Creative Labs since I lost my receipt, the display doesn't work at all now. So, keep your receipt no matter what.

Wow
Pros: There are simply too many pros to name, so I'll cover the ones left out by others: 1. Equalizer – Most of the MP3 players I’ve seen stick you with their stock sound and leave you with the same mix for rock, rap and anything else you put on it. With the Zen you get a very “winamp” style equalizer system complete with presets and a “Base Boost” 2. Customization – There are 6 stock choices of backgrounds already on the device and you can chose one of your own pictures to use if you’d like to. 3. Retains old Data – Unlike the iPod, the Zen will simply add any new data you import into your existing library. This means no more lost songs when you want to add something at a friend’s house. 4. Not constrained – If you don’t want to install the software, you don’t have to. The Zen will function like an external storage device. I recommend the software, though, as it is the way you convert video to Zen-Playable media. 5. VERY friendly and easy to use GUI! 6. NOT AN iPOD!
Cons: All earbuds suck and I don't know why the MP3-Player community hasn't caught onto this. I would much rather have a spura-aurial included in the package than these painful little things. Also, some might argue that the unit is TOO slick and glossy. The unwary user might drop the Zen as it slides out of his hand, allbeit looking shiny and pretty while doing so. Thirdly, I've noticed that sometimes the device has trouble starting. Not often, though.
Other Thoughts: The users who reported that the Zen wasn't sturdy were full of it or had bad items. I dropped this thing from 3 feet onto concrete whre it landed on the corner and bounced. There was not a single scratch on the face and only a small chip on the corner where it hit. The player has run fine, no visible affect other than the corner-chip. Also, gotta say this even though people have been bleating about it, THE SCREEN IS AMAZING! Great quality and size. It's no PSP, but it's a far-sight better than anything else I've seen. This is my frist MP3 player and I have to say I'm very impressed. Creative has always been a good brand. Sadly: 1. The night I bought this my friend gave me an iPod for my birthday 2. Also, the day after I got it from a store for the same price as this site, I logged on later to find that it had been discounted by $10. Oh well

Good product
Pros: Holds lots of movies, good sound, intuitive to use.
Cons: It can take hours to convert a movie and get it into the player.
Other Thoughts: I read reports that the screen scratches easily, so buy some sort of protective film.

Best bang for buck!
Pros: •One of the sexiest mp4 players I have seen, and one of the reasons I bought it. •very generous screen, which is excellent for watching episodes of your favorite t.v. show on the bus to work / school, or watching a movie on a roadtrip •SD slot! This is something most mp3/4 players do not include, and is excellent for photographers or anyone looking to save some cash. •Very easy to use GUI (graphical user interface)
Cons: •The audio quality could be a bit better •VERY easily scratched! I highly recommend the clear case for this model. •Lack of SD integration with main library. This can be a tad annoying, so I only use the SD card for videos and pictures.
Other Thoughts: Overall this is one of the best bang-for-the-buck players out there. I always buy gadgets at the Egg, for their marvelous tech support, and I got an RMA for a defective zen without any hassles at all. I highly recommend this for people who occasionally listen to their music and watch videos, but not the people who have OCD about having they complete library of music that they don't listen to on their mp3 player.

Almost non-existent support
Pros: Large clear display for a compact player. Design is above average and controls are simple. When connected, media is transferred by simply copying-pasting. Can be used as external storage.
Cons: Lightweight is good, but this MP3 player is flimsy and constructed cheaply. Creative Labs support is almost non-existent. There is not a single phone number that will connect you to a real human representative.
Other Thoughts: Fell from car seat to the carpeted floor, and unit stopped turning on. RMA'd the unit to Creative Labs warranty and was sent a refurbished player. After transferring music to unit, the media player "died". It wouldn't get past the CREATIVE LOGO screen. Trying to RMA the unit again, but CREATIVE wants to charge 25 dollars because they only offer 1 time labor on warranty. I spent about 9 dollars shipping the first time. If I agree to pay another 25 dollars + 9 shipping that would be 43 dollars, not counting headaches and days I'm left without anything to use. If you want to throw away money, there are plenty of charities. I've been searching for weeks just to talk to a real person and so far, none exists. I absolutely recommend AGAINST this company.

Great Job Creative
Pros: Nice clean glossy look, 6 different themes, support for movies, big 2.5" screen, low price, support for sd memory, not too bad headphones, easy conversion softwear and cheap!!!!! the finish is great but leaves finger prints. the screen is big, bigger then the ipod nano 3rd gen. the new one that u shake and shuffle and the old one with the widescreen screen. this beats em. my bro has the widescreen one and this screen is bigger and he likes mine alot. The support for sd memory is good so u dont have to buy a new one or delete things to get more songs/movies. the support for movies is good. u can convert them into a type that this can use with the included software. and the headphones it comes with are pretty good.
Cons: Fingerprints all over, head phones heart ur ears after like 15 minutes, the buttons arent quiet and get annoying, and its hard to save to ur sd card, very hard, still havent figured it out yet. i know how to save but cant get them to run from inside.
Other Thoughts: Great deal, pick one up. wont be disapointed. and the screen is big. 2.5 sounds small but its plenty.

No moving parts
Pros: Got this one for my girlfriend since she is accident prone. I figure anything like a pod that has a internal harddrive she might drop so at least with the Zen its flash based so all she has to worry about is breaking the screen! Its a giant bonus that it has the sd/sdhc expansion slot.
Cons: Should have waited for when the larger sizes went on sale but it is expandable.

Pros: Works great with Napster. Haven't tried it with iTunes or other services yet. Slick easy to use design. Battery life is great. I fell asleep with this thing running and it was still running when I woke up! lol
Cons: I'd like to see some other music and video formats supported.
Other Thoughts: Install the software first before using.

Connection Blues.
Pros: It has a big, beautiful screen. It is even clear enough to watch subtitled anime. GUI is nice and easy to use, and the sound quality is excellent.
Cons: I can only get this to connect to one computer. I've tried everything on my other machines in Windows, and several linux distributions, and I cannot get them to read the device, much less send files to it. It is extremely annoying. I can't even update the firmware because of this.

Nice Piece of Gear
Pros: Excellent battery life, firmware, sound, video playback. Controls are well designed and intuitive. You don't need a manual to immediate understand and operate this unit.
Cons: Screen is plastic and scratches easily, so you need either screen protectors or a proper case. I got Fellows screen protectors and cut them to size, and purchased the Creative leather case designed for this unit. Leather case does not have any screen protection when it is open. 2 GB is too small. The headphones that come with it aren't very good.
Other Thoughts: I use the Bose Quiet Comfort III headphones with this player when I ride the commuter rail and the sound is FANTASTIC. Those are freakin' expensive headphones, but they demonstrate that the quality of the output on this player is tremendous. Also, 2GB is really too small for this unit (too small for any video player for that matter), so I will be purchasing the SD media to store more files and video. I am disappointed that the prices for the other Zen players came down so much right after I bought this, and the 4 GB player was available for $20 less within a couple of weeks. My son has the Zune 80 GB player, which is significantly better, but significantly more expensive as well.

A very nice player for the money
Pros: Nice display, good interface, sounds great
Cons: Plastic feels flimsey, only 2GB
Other Thoughts: Over all I can't be much happier with an MP3 player. I hate my wife's IPOD and ITunes. This is much nicer than the Sansa it replaced. This large disply is beautiful. I don't even watch videos but it's nice not to strain to read it when changing songs. It sounds good and the interface is very user friendly. It does feel flimsey but I bought a silicon protector for it and now it seems sturdy. The usb cable that came with it is ridiculously short but since it is a standard mini usb I just use the one that came with my camera. I got this one on sale and really don't need more than 2 GB. The 4 GB model recently went on sale making it cheaper than this model. Either one is an awesome player.

Nice
Pros: I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This product screams quality. The screen is just great. I watch Squidbillies on the bus to work and it just jumps out at you. Had no probs dragging and dropping music into audio folder but i also installed the software (with some probs). Audio is good and makes high bit-rate stuff sound superb.
Cons: Headphones are rubbish, very uncomfortable to me. SD is Ok. I got only a two GB Kingston kit because of weariness from review. Dont be worried, the big bright screen makes browsing just like Windows explorer. No games.... Screen stays on if not locked,,,,
Other Thoughts: I got this for the bus and Im just satisfied with it. Everything about it is better than previous Zens. The screen makes this a great video player. Use SD card for video and 2gb of music works for me for approx. an hour a day. 5 eggs. 16gb flash next purchase.

Good buy
Pros: work great, the videos are nice to watch, and the music sounds really good. Even the radio is good
Cons: Wish it came with a screen cover.
Other Thoughts: used Transcend 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity tp get it up to 18 GB.

Nice player with some annoying issues
Pros: Excellent sound quality, screen quality and size are great for movies and not bad for photos. Contrary to some of the other reviews, the headphones are fine, and the included software works well. SD card expandability is handy, but very bare-bones with no features such as bookmarks or resuming available.
Cons: There are at least two serious bugs in this player, that have been discussed on creative's forum, and it looks like they're not going to fix them (last firmware update was February, 2008). One, the RESUME feature should begin playing where you left off at power-up. And it does, but only if the player has been off less than an hour. After that, it resumes at the beginning of the file, which is not bad if it's a song, but if it's a 15-hour audiobook, it CAN be a big deal. It's hard to believe they'd let a bug like this get through, and then NOT FIX IT. The other known issue is that for some unknown reason, the date and time will jump to next year, last year, or whenever. It's happened to me twice so far, and there is apparently no fix for that either.
Other Thoughts: For a music or movie player, this isn't bad, as the issues aren't a big deal (the fast forward lets you easily find your lost spot in a movie). If you like audiobooks, you'd better be sure to set a bookmark before you shut it off, or you'll find yourself fast-forwarding through hours of audio trying to find your lost spot that the player should have remembered. Since the SD card integration is poor, I'd recommend getting a larger capacity, 4-8-16GB model, but they cost more, and they still have the same bugs. So do you want to invest in a buggy MP3 player that's not going to be fixed by its manufacturer? Only you can determine if they're serious enough to matter to you.

Pretty good for $59
Pros: This is a very useful device with a few problems that keep it from being perfect. The ability to add an SD card with video and or audio is a great feature and stuff plays flawlessly from the SD card. The FM radio, voice recorder are all good features as well. The sound and screen are good as well as certain parts of the UI.
Cons: The lack of integration of the SD card into the playback/recording is a let down but not a show stopper. The user interface should allow you to switch to other stuff like settings without stopping playback of the music or the video. It would be nice to have the date AND the time on the front display but at $59(what I got it for) this is still a great deal.
It's finicky about SD cards...a Kington 4GB SDHC had me paper clip rebooting this baby numerous times. An 8GB, AData SDHC seems to be working pretty good.
Other Thoughts: They should have really integrated the SD card into the playback system but I can understand them not wanting to compete with their own higher priced models with more flash memory.

Good value
Pros: The screen is great (high resolution for such a small area) and the buttons feel very well made--not too hard or too easy to press. The software interface is simple but intuitive. The player has quite a few other welcome features, such as the FM tuner, the SD card slot, the picture viewer, etc. All in all, it's a great buy at the price they're asking. Most other companies are charging ~$120 or more for nearly identical products.
Cons: Unfortunately, this little thing just doesn't have enough computing power to run the GUI they slapped on it, so it lags a little when you scroll through the menus. It's not surprising, since the player is tiny and the GUI is pretty graphically intensive; I just wish they could have used a not-as-glossy interface instead as long as it runs smoothly.
Secondly, the audio quality is just fine, but the ear buds they give you are pretty lame. This is to be expected, I guess.
Other Thoughts: This player is a great choice if you don't want to spend a ton of money on something that archives 30+ GBs of songs that you never listen to or if you don't care about joining the latest technology fashion clique. It's got quality sound output, it's easy to use, it's small, and it's cheap.
One last little thing to keep in mind: the USB cord that comes with it is ridiculously short (about 3 inches). I have no idea what was going through Creative's head when they decided to include this thing, especially considering how the manual specifically states that you shouldn't use a USB hub and instead plug it directly into your computer. Oh well, just make sure you have a longer one on hand.

Love this player, much better than Ipod
Pros: I bought the 4 gb version that newegg recently had on sale, and this has got to be the best mp3 player for the money. The sd card slot is perfect for storing more songs on a small card and that's my full intention. The player can even play television shows as well as video, and the screen is quite big and has very sharp color. MP3'S are extremely easy to add to this player, and creating playlists is just as simple. You just drag and drop your songs into a playlist and then wait for them to transfer, and the wait time is very short. So if you've been thinking of buying an Ipod, reconsider and look at Creative Zen, it can do everything the Ipod can do, but in my opinion much better. Get this player at this price, it is extremely reasonable, and the player you get will be everything you hope for in an mp3 player and then some. Newegg as always has very quick shipping also. Great player for the money.
Cons: None at all, Creative makes really great products.

Great Product!
Pros: I bought this for my 15 year old son and he loves it. The conrols are easy to use, play back quality is great for audio and pictures (he has not tried video yet). Screen is large for this size device and is clear. Menu function is very easy to use and has many function I did expect to see. The SD slot is a nice, you can take your card from your camera and place it in the Zen and show your picture to all of your friends without the hassle of wagging your camera around. The unit small and will fit well in your pocket. If you are looking for a great MP3/MP4 player you will not go wrong with this one from our experiance.
Cons: He did not like the ear buds that came with it which is not a problem since we picked in based on features & quality.
Other Thoughts: Neweggs service is Great! I ordered on a Suday and recieced on Tuesday! When I order the shipping was free which I really like!

Not a bad player
Pros: its small, its light, and sound is decent to plus the price is right for what your looking for and defeats ipod nanos
Cons: now thing is with my player EVERY time you plug it in to like put a new song on it even if it is fully charged it charges which can get annoying at times and mine wont read mp4 simple converter takes care of that so no biggie
Other Thoughts: I haven't put any videos on it yet so I cant say how it performs with that but its a nice little mp3 player nonetheless

great mp3 player
Pros: the size is wonderful, the screen is bright, even outdoors, the buttons are of a nice size and clickiness, feels solid and fashionable.
Cons: the menu takes some getting used to, (the button with the little arrow especially i keep thinking means "go back one menu" and it just doesn't (^_^) ) and of course the standard earbuds are mediocre at best. also, the memory on any inserted card is treated entirely seperately from the memory on the device itself which is a little annoying, but not disruptively so.
Other Thoughts: bought this for my mother, and it was easy enough to figure out for her, although she's not too much of a geek. (^_^) i think her favorite part is the size, as the player fits perfectly in her wallet behind her credit cards. even she knew that the earbuds weren't giving great sound, so she's on the hunt for some real headphones, but she uses the zen every day, and it's earned a constant place in her purse, so i would say good job, zen! (^_^)

Great Product
Pros: I like this a heck of alot better than my 40gb ipod. The Zen is easier to use and I feel the video is a little bit faster than the i pod. Sleek nice looking player as well.
Cons: I should have bought one with more space, 2 gb isn't much when it comes to products like this.

Update on Vista 64 Compatability
Pros: Syncs/Transfers ONLY if you use Zen Media Explorer Utility...
Cons: Zen Adds Copy to Zen in Explorer Shell so when you right click on a folder you can copy to Zen.... Problem-- This crashes Explorer. Browsing the Device in My Computer ALSO crashes Explorer when copying.
Other Thoughts: Why add features that crash explorer... they say native drivers, but I see the Generic Driver listed in Device Manager and think that's probably a load of bull.

Worth a look...
Pros: 2GB MP3/MP4 player WITH expandable SD card slot AND 2.5" screen, for such a low price? Compared to other available players this one nets you plenty of hardware for the money! This player will be used exclusively for listening to audio files. The experience with uploading songs and screen quality for displaying track information has been 100% positive. This device is actually quite sturdy, contrary to "professional" reviews. The glossy finish can easily display fingerprints, but a case was also purchased to negate this.
Cons: Player worked for one week and began to "freeze". After a few times of "soft reset" using the reset button, decided to "hard reset" involving holding the "power" and "play" button down. The player is now reformatted and has been working ever since. Hopefully this will permanently fix the "freezing" issue.
Other Thoughts: Initially attempted to place RMA for exchange with Newegg.com, but was denied the request (no longer had original product packaging). Was hoping to an exception to policy, due to the RMA being to exchange the product, not replace. Newegg customer/technical support representative was unable to provide a tecnical solution to the "freezing" problem. The solution (hard reset) was provided by the manufacturer. Besides the MP3/MP4 player, another $40 was spent on accessories for this Creative Zen.

Awesome piece of equipment!!
Pros: Great sound and easy to use. I added an 8GB SD card to store more music and haven't come close to filling it yet. I used it on my trip out west plugged into my Harley radio for 7 days and it worked great. Good battery life.
Cons: The documentation is not really useful but fortunately the player is really user friendly.
Other Thoughts: I now wish I had gotten the 8GB version instead of the 2GB.

Pros: Quite simply, this is the best purchase i've made in a long time. The audio is excellent. The divx video looks fantastic and the converter is very easy to use.
Cons: I'll probably upgrade the headphones. My microSD card with adapter wasnt recognized. Definitely get a case because this baby is too pretty to scratch or smudge.

Wow its better than an Ipod!
Pros: Screen as big as a ipod with widescreen. An awesome media player. Plays WMV,wma, mp3s. Ipod AAC etc. Also it says Xvid/Divx. Interface and Menus are beautiful as wells as customizeable. , Voice recorder, calander, alarm and FM radio to boot! The FM radio is awesome tunes faster, clearer than a 200 bookshelf tuner. Can take HC SD cards for 32GB of massive media.
Cons: The SD card integration is on the stupid side, Everything on ur SD card is kept completely completely separate, u even even loose the playlist advanced features. Like ur playlists to obsession? Get urself the 4,8,16,32 GB versions.
Other Thoughts: The most awesome Mp3 player for the buck -got it for 69, Have a HiSpeed 2GB SD card with it! This would be the perfect unit except the lame SD card integration. Honestly u just loose the playlist system and the 5 star rating system. But that doesnt bug me. I wanted something just to jog with and not cry when my dog eats it. She ate my other mp3 player. Id rather buy the Zen 16GB version for the price of a Ipod nano 4GB and still have a better screen, better menu system and have expandible memory options., 30 hrs of battery too. IF u really really like the playlist system and feel the need to rate ur music, spend the extra dollars for the big cap Zens!

Not that great
Pros: Very stylish. Light weight. Low price. Comes with a lot of features. You can tweak all the sounds and add bass.
Cons: The sound quality isn't that good. Ive tried all kinds of headphones. Fingerprints Fingerprints Fingerprints!!! I highly recommend you buy the skin for it. The shuffle is really bad. It keeps playing the same 20 songs out of my 200.
Other Thoughts: I would rather go with the Sansa 2GB.

Little room for improvement! :D
Pros: This is a great product. No turning back. Sound quality is excellent. I was afraid that sounds would be quiet because of its size... but it's louder than my Archos, which is a brick. Nice equalizer functions and there are many ways to play your music, or let the DJ choose a random album of the day. Battery life for music is excellent, bass (with decent headphones) is way loud. Video is very nice looking, except see cons, and you can either stretch the video to the screen or maximize it pixel-to-pixel. 320x240 is very good for this little screen... you don't consciously notice the pixels unless you are staring intently at the screen. Microphone good, radio sound quality gets good reception. Picture browsing is cool but I don't use it much. My 'My Shortcut' button is customized to random play all tracks. The only way to turn off the screen is to lock the player, so you can't press any buttons.
Cons: Video quality is good except for one flaw. I'm not sure of other codecs but DivX has a very low black contrast. What this means is that in Spaceballs, the space background looks EXTREMELY pixelated. No big deal, turn up the bitrate. Storage isn't a lot. Buy a P***iot 16GB SDHC card for the ride, never look back. The only way to turn off the screen is to lock the player, so you can't press any buttons. Wish the power indicator light had lower brightness, shines in my eyes at night.
Other Thoughts: Overall, a great player. I could think of a few improvements but it does not hinder the functionality of the player at all. It does exactly what I bought it for: it's a good sleepy-time MP3 player. It's not made to compete with high-end video players, but it's pretty darn good. Buy it, it's great.

Best MP3 player I've ever had
Pros: I've owned many different types of MP3 players... from the early 128mb models to some of the larger MP3 players, from the cheap models to the iPods. I've come to realize what I like about MP3 players: quick startup, good battery life, inexpensive, durable, easy menu navigation, crisp screen resolution... typically I've been unable to get all of those in the same model.... until I bought the Creative ZEN.
First off, when I go to turn the player off, it only takes 3-4 seconds. Startup (even with a lot of media on the ZEN) has never taken longer than 5 seconds. The album art that shows up for all of the songs is bright and is a very nice touch.
The size is amazing... imagine 4 credit cards stacked one on top of the others, and that will give you an approximate size. The 2.5" screen is the same as the iPod Classic, yet the ZEN is smaller overall.
Cons: If you want to convert DVD's for use with the ZEN, you'll need to do some googling to find software to convert the video to a format that the ZEN can use. There's great software out there, and it's free, but it does take a little hunting to find it.
Other Thoughts: I don't use Creative's software... that's not to say that it isn't good, simply that I never installed it. Instead, I use the freely downloadable Winamp player to create playlists and simply drag-and-drop the playlists to the ZEN (which shows up in Winamp automatically).
When transferring the playlist, Winamp also transfers all of the music (storing it by artist, with album subfolders), and it also automatically transfers the album art that WinAmp automatically downloads from the internet to go with the songs being played.
For the $62 I paid for this one, I feel as though I definitely got my money's worth.

Great item
Pros: Got this for my mom, she loves it. Simple to use and great visual display and design.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I should have got the 8gig version, she has sooo much music.

Nice unit for the price
Pros: Really nice device for the price. Was able to use it easily right out of the box. The device already had latest firmware on it (which is recommended). I have many of the same gripes about the product - fingerprints show easily (get a case/cover for it), the headphones aren't great (they aren't horrible either), and the EQ settings are a bit lacking, but for the price, it is an Excellent product. Videos look good, and it sounds nice in headphones. Very small device, which is pretty amazing.
Cons: The video conversion software doesn't rip DVD's, etc - it just formats it to fit on the device (makes the video size smaller and lowers bitrates). Use iriverter or something like that to convert DVD's (it's free). The device shows fingerprints very easily. The buttons feel a bit loose, but I will put a cover on it, and that will protect them. Get some sort of cover or case for it - especially a screen protector to keep it from scratching. The USB cable was hilariously short - but it uses standard USB plugs, so it is easy to get a longer one if needed. I had extras lying around. May keep it as my travel cord for laptop, but it is 5" long from end to end, so it is pretty much useless with a desktop.
Other Thoughts: This is a nice unit. It is less than 1/2 the cost of a certain other brand, and it seems to do everything that I would like it to do. Even has an FM radio, recorder, picture viewer, and organizer (not as important for me). Would highly recommend this for people looking for a video MP3/MP4 player on a budget. Still learning a bit about the device and how to use it, but so far I am very impressed and satisfied with it. Took a bit of tinkering around to get video synced with sound, but it happens at the conversion from DVD to AVI, not the Creative software that shrinks it down. If you are ripping DVD to AVI, make sure your bitrates are below what the device can handle so you don't have to use the converter, as it is quite slow. But, I am a bit of a novice working with video like this, so I am learning as I go.

A Good Buy
Pros: The mp3 player provides ample screen size along with good sound quality.
Cons: I experienced some minor difficulty with mine at one point. I plugged it into the computer and it wasn't recognized, so I unplugged it and it wouldn't respond to anything; power button, chargers, etc. I left it plugged into the computer and happily noticed that around a day later it had turned back on again. In the meantime i contacted NewEgg customer support, and in that amount of time they had shipped an RMA out for the return of the product (even though I no longer required it)
Other Thoughts: Despite a minor hangup, I am overall happy with the product. I am also extremely content with NewEgg's speedy and helpful customer service.

Tasty Platter of features and Quality
Pros: Very Rich Sound quality (earbuds aren't to bad, they just lack any real dinamic range) The interface and screen are sharp and can be set very bright! Lots of lovely featurs including excellent FM reception (the headphones act as and antena)! Microphone is very high quality! EXPANDALE!! HURAA
Cons: fingerprints... but they rub of real easy! The only real downer was that the applications are not 64 bit compatable! Tech support was polite but just about good for nothing! Using third party program to convert video(not fun)!
Other Thoughts: You can extend battery life by putting it in lock this causes the screen to compleatly turn of! SD Cards are good for large files like movies! I would not recommend using them for random tracks! Overall and excellent buy thought I would recommend 4 gb version to take advantage of all the excellent features!

Great!
Pros: Very nice, just the best player i had. Sounds is the best i herd.!!! Sd support so much more but dont wanna list all
Cons: Trash the ear buds they give you and buy a nice pair
Other Thoughts: The reviewer below me is complety wrong about the sd support. I put the sd card in my new zen player. It DOES HAVE SUFFLE support for the sd card. I dont know why he said it dont. SD support is very good If he dont know how to do it you need to go to play mode and it has a list of options of what to do including suffle mode. He also said you have to browse music folder to folder, thats complety wrong my music was all in 1 spot without having to go folder to folder.
In the end is this is a great buy and dont listen to people who say sd support is trash. Thats because they dont take time to find out how to use it.

SD slot not all that great
Pros: Good interface. Very compact and light. Bright clear screen. Durable (flash memory). Creative is a good brand.
Cons: I bought the 2GB model for the "virtually unlimited" storage capacity due to the SD slot. However, the player does not allow you to easily access and manipulate your files from the SD slot. You can only play them one folder at a time. You can not make playlists for them or shuffle them. In order to do so, you must download your files from the SD card onto your built-in memory and if you only have 2GB of built-in memory, you can run out of space very quickly.
Other Thoughts: The solution is to spend more money on a player with a larger capacity. Don't try to save money, like i did, by buying a big SD card and a small 2GB Zen. Also, the SD slot is still good for pictures and movies.

Positive so far
Pros: I have only had the product a few days, but really like it so far. Little confusing to get used to the control layout. Display is great, sound is great, and the overall performance is excellent
Cons: Haven't owned it long enough to judge the test of time.
Other Thoughts: For the price, the functionality is very good. Some of the features it contains are not included on other players, such as an Ipod, which is much more expensive. I would recommend the ZEN.

Absolutly worth it, Actual Value.
Pros: Solid Construction, Great screen, Great sound, (Especially when hooked up to the car w/ tapedeck) Pretty intuitive function. Generally Smile-Inducing.
Cons: (In my case) Pointless Software. A Tad Quiet. Radio is really Confuzor,(no i'm not stupid
Other Thoughts: Preface, any negatives stated are outweighed by the almost throw-away cost.
First off. Maybe I'm the only person in world that feels this way, I would prefer that you simply give me the drivers, and leave me alone.
Secondly. We need not mention competitors as this product, and its Price makes the others "rot on the tre-, i mean vine..right, yea vine"
You will not be disappointed with the sound quality though as i said, it is a bit quiet. (not as crankable as my last pmp.) but once again, price = whateva. Picture very Good. the thing about the screen. Yes, it does have that beutifull "destroy me gloss" finish, but if your like me, you have adapted long ago, buy just putting your metal stuff in one pocket, and your scratch prone stuff in the other.
As i said, i have a hard time understanding how toys this fun can be this cheap.

amazing stuff
Pros: for about a tenth of the price of a video ipod, this thing does the exact same without the restrictions of itunes. You can put ANYTHING on it, and with ZENcast, you can get every pod cast from the man show to learning how to cook....and its FREE! I havent had a single complaint about my ZEN. I take it everywhere and love it.Its small, and the video is gorgeous. It even has a slot for an SD card to expand the memory!!! BUY IT
Cons: NONE, this is one of the better mp3/video players around.
Other Thoughts: why spend 300 when you can spend 50?!

Good PDA Replacment
Pros: I bought this player to replace the media capabilities of a Dell Axim. The size is much better for carrying, I love still having the SD card expandability, and with its low price I don’t worry about it getting lost or stolen (as much.) 500+ songs @ 4MB/song seems antiquate to me, plus you can switch chips in and out. Works great as a data transport too.
Cons: I wish it had a replaceable Li-Ion battery to extend the units lifetime.

Cons: It atracts dusk and u see your finger prints.
Other Thoughts: Im goin 2 get da screen protector and case 2 resolve those minor cons. But overall its a lil great gadget.

This is the bang for your buck product
Pros: Very easy to opereate, integrates with windows media player seamlessly. I put 2 tv shows I had already purchased on it right away and they fit on it with my tunes as well without a problem. I'm not picky about earphones, they were absolutely fine with me.
Cons: I'm thinking....This product is priced low, for what you're paying for it, you're getting more. Can't come up with a con for the price range this product is in.
Other Thoughts: I admit I have prior experience with operating mp3 players (a different brand, though). I had to look up maybe 2 things that I couldn't just figure out with playing with it. In other words, very easy. I am so excited at how well the video went on. If you're near a larger city library, try getting free audible book downloads online! (with a library card, of course)

great player
Pros: after a short learning phase, the buttons turn out to be very intuitive. the interface is very appealing visually. the picture is very crisp and the sound quality coming through the headphones is very good.
Cons: i'm still looking into a the issue of a few files not being placed in a playlist though i specifically assigned them. nothing that can't be fixed though.
Other Thoughts: great player at a very fair price. newegg was faster than ever. i love you guys

player locks up
Pros: Great picture and pretty good sound also with other headphones. Screen is very comfortable to watch movies on and has a very crisp picture. Menu setup is very easy to understand.
Cons: player freeze's up constantly. It happen's all different ways. Leave the player on and walk away to long it freeze's. Turn it off and try to use it the next day it's frozen.

VERY NICE MP4 Player
Pros: Very nice player. Bought this for my wife to use on a trip. It has a nice solid feel to it rather than that flimsy feel some of the other kinds of players have. The screen is nice and bright and the menus are easy to negotiate. Transfer speed from computer to player is fairly fast. Using an SD card is easy and the speed is good. Sound quality is excellent.
Cons: None really other than I wish Creative had made the controls more intuitive. These take a little getting used to as they feel backward to me. My wife has no trouble.
Other Thoughts: This is an excellent little player. My wife is very happy with it. And has kept me busy putting albums on it. There is plenty of room on the 2 gig built in memory. The software included for uploading music to this is ok..but could be better. It does take some time to upload a full CD to the player. And once you start adding music to some SD cards, it will take you time. But for the money and value this player cant be beat.

Impressive
Pros: 60 bucks cheaper than a 4 gb Ipod Nano. Big, bright screen, good battery life and has 2 extra features that the ipod does not have: the voice recorder and the fm radio. I'm happy with the audio quality considering size and what I paid for this thing. The fact that it allows you to copy and delete files without going to any software makes it 10 times better than the ipod where no matter what you want to do you have to use the software that comes with it.
Cons: None so far! Great job Creative!!!
Other Thoughts: Wish I could have traded in my ipod nano for one of these :(

great little unit
Pros: great video quality, nice audio quality, powerful line output, flash card expansion slot is great.
Cons: navigation rather awkward, supplied headphones are designed for alien ears, boring graphic design on the display themes.
Other Thoughts: The Zen is great in general, it was easy to set up and the included compression/conversion software handled several movies well. I was impressed with the actual amount of video I managed to fit on the player. The sound is quite good, with different headphones - the supplied headphones are pretty lame. I would consider a screen protector and skin as a must - the naked unit attracts finger prints like crazy.

Fantastic
Pros: Amzing price and screen. Bargain in anyone's eye this player has me captivated! With only two gigs it is small, but the SD slot allows expasion and the prices are amazing on SD Cards (It will cost less if yu buy a 2gig sd card and this player instead of the 4gig player!!). For XX dollars this is a steal and free shipping is nice too :)
Cons: Coming from an i-pod (Shudder) the interface seemed scary at first. However it took only two minutes to figure it out! Nothing else other than the 2 gig issue.
Other Thoughts: As a first time Creative buyer i would recomened this to anyone who wants an mp3 player with video capability. The screen is actualy large enough to comfortably watch family guy episodes or share video clips. One last thought, pictures look amazing on this thing with only a short load time!!

fantastic
Pros: I got this when Newegg had it on their Daily Deal list... $xx + free shipping. But I would pay the full price, knowing what I know now. Great audio quality, screen is small but clear and crisp. Battery life estimates appear to be accurate. Most importantly, I'm not stuck with iTunes (why do people like it???)
Cons: It has locked up on me twice, but a simple reset with a paperclip fixed it right up. 4:3 aspect ratio also means widescreen DVD's are even smaller... stretching them distorts them.
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks... purchased an 8gb SD card to augment the 2GB storage, should be able to store a number of movies and Simpsons episodes on that.

Works fine with Linux
Pros: Small, great screen, good battery life, versatile, good price, works well with Linux.
Cons: At higher bitrates, the video and audio go out of sync the further along in a show.
Other Thoughts: gnomad must be compiled with libmtp2.5 or later otherwise it won't detect the unit. If a video is uploaded to the onboard memory, it won't be "seekable" however if the same video is on the memory card it IS seekable. Thus for video playback (with videos generated from mencoder) I would recommend the 2G unit and a big SD card. See anythingbutipod.com for more info.

So Far Awesome
Pros: Where to start; the fact it being so versatile is an understatement . Any Bit rate I have thrown at it it has played ; and the sound is much better then I expected. The quality of the videos and pictures has shocked me. I got it mainly for long trips and the music aspect; but now seeing the video I plan to upload more of my niece's Vids for giggles when I travel .. All the whining about the SD card not integrating is Just that; Whining lol It seems people can not navigate a menu for a second longer before they get flustered I guess . But ehh as I said I just wanted the tunes and got much more so I am easily pleased I guess.
Cons: Only complaint is I noticed one video I converted w\ the software "froze" the counter kept moving and I could here the audio but the video never advanced. But since it was only one and it is still only been a day; I am not gonna worry to much about that for now. Ohh and I had two string lines that can not be wiped off; thought it would be a problem but once powered on they are almost non-existent.
Other Thoughts: Ear Phones were surprisingly good; not too comfy for me but I think that is just a personal thing. Again addressing the SD Card; a little more navigation is all it is with the card; But I guess it could be bothersome to some .

Excellent buy
Pros: Lots of features, nice design, good sound, effective (if not perfect) software, small, lightweight, apparently good battery life (though I've not given that a good stress test). Others have complained about the included headphones... I must be missing out on some really good headphones out there, because these sound just fine to me. Mine shipped with up-to-date firmware already, so I haven't had the updating problems others have seen.
Cons: I've seen more intuitive interfaces, and as with others, I'm hoping Creative addresses the SD card integration with a firmware update. For the moment, 2GB is enough for what I'll use this for, but I like to think of the SD slot as an expansion mechanism, and if it won't integrate seamlessly with the rest of the library... well, that'll bite.
Other Thoughts: Considering the features and price, this is an excellent buy. And newegg rocks, as always!

Pros: Good sound quality, very sleek appearance. I have all the seasons of family guy and they look fantastic, all video does on it.
Cons: Easy to finger print
Other Thoughts: Some people consider the SD integration a Con but since i have all my music in folders already then its easier to folder browse for me. Although i heard Creative should be coming out with a firmware update that address's the issue. Worth every penny, i wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, although the 32gig one does look enticing. Also got the Creative EP-630 headphones for the player, which are pretty top notch as well.

Great MP3 Player
Pros: Excellent pricing for a 2GB player. Audio quality is excellent, video playback is good. I play episodes of House on it before class, color is washy sometimes, but overall I'm not going to complain, video is video. Battery life is pretty long.
Also FM radio! I really want this on a MP3 player and here we go, it has it with great functionality (presets)
Also has an SD slot card, though I never tried it.
Cons: The head phone jack should be on the opposite side, aka the left side. It gets in the way all the time, it annoys me to no end. You'd really have to have the player yourself to understand this complaint.
Needs a function to be able to turn off the screen itself. It would boost the battery life a substational amount if it had this feature. The screen is always on, the back lighting isn't though, but still, I don't need to see the screen if it's in my pocket.
Menus are could use some work. I have to hit the back button a couple of times to even get the FM radio. Probably could have been offset if they added one more button.
Other Thoughts: Sadly, if I compared this to my dinky 5 year old iRiver iFP (256 MB of space ...) iRiver proves itself to produce better sound than this player. When I compare the iRiver to the Creative Zen, I am definitely missing the lows and the highs in the audio spectrum, whatever that means. Just going to say the audio equalizers need a bit of tweaking, because the default sound settings are terrible. Also, like with any other player, buy a new set of head phones.

Pros: Great sound, nice screen, very user friendly, convenient size and very cheap! Love the sleep function. Drag and drop. Charges very fast and battery life is good to me. I did not load any software off the CD.
Cons: Any items on the SD Card do not integrate into the library. To me this is not a big deal. I just videos on the SD Card anyway. The vidoes I put on it is music videos. I did create one movie and the audio sync was way off towards the middle of the movie. Could be the converter I used? Dunno, but just just throwing that out there.
Other Thoughts: Owned many MP3 players in the past and I love my gadgets. I really use my larger 4" PMP for the for the long haul on the train, but this device is great for the bus ride. I may switch to my smaller MP3 clip during the walking months as this is a little bulky when compared to that, but IMO, the Zen sounds better than the clip. Amazing how great this thing is for the money. I also bought a PSP Hori screen protector, cut it in half, and the screen stills looks like new after weeks in my bag. Love the price, I may buy another one just for home use for the sleep function. I wanted to show a video review, but I wasn't sure if my 10 second clip of a music artist would be a no-no.

The BEST Bang For The Buck!!!!!
Pros: 1. Big bright screen 2. Very Functional Controls 3. Supports many audio codecs(including iTunes Plus tracks) 4. Not too shaby software 5. SD Card Slot Extention 6. Shiny surface 7. Lightweight and small 8. Superb Audio Quality 9. Price!!!!!!
Cons: (These are very small complaints. The pros outway them like an ant to a sumo wrestler)
1. SD Card not the best with library music integration 2. Limited video support 3. Shiny surface
Other Thoughts: When I see people buying an iPod Shuffle for the same price as this I can't help but laugh. This has a gorgeous screen very similar to that of my PSP's. The interface is the best I have seen so far. The player itself is very lightweight and sturdier than most people state. It has a glossy black finish on top which both looks amazing and is prone to fingerprints (hence the pro + the con). No, it does not have the software integration that iPods have, but why would anyone want to be restricted to buy from one music store when there are many more the zen can be used with. Plus if you can't part with iTunes and are a little tech savvy, there are ways to get this to sync with iTunes. Anywho, the SD Card integration is not the best. However, it i just a matter of time before Creative fixes this with a firmware update.
All in all, this player beats down similary priced players like a sick dog.
