Love, Love, Love it
Pros: Easy to use - has my favorite user interface/screen layout, I like how it posts estimated arrival time based on your speed and will make adjustments, long lasting battery, screen easy to see even in bright light, great price, portability.
Cons: Sometimes slow in finding the satellite, but solve this by turning it on before fastening seatbelt, starting car, etc. Sometimes I wish the screen were a little larger. Only occasionally have run into the problem of not being able to locate newer streets.
Other Thoughts: I have used the USB cable from my digital camera to connect the device to my computer, which has worked fine both for charging the unit and for downloading updates to the software should you so desire.

Love this thing
Pros: It's easy to use. It's cheap. The interface is simple and uncluttered. You can search for POIs while navigating, and the "via" feature is great. When you select a destination and you are already in navigation mode, you get the option of "set as new destination" or "set as via". If you select the latter, your route changes to go through the via point and then on to the original destination. This is great for when you're on the road and you're looking for a lunch stop, or considering a detour to some attraction. You can update this as often as you like throughout the day. The processor is fast. The screen colors are easy-to-read. Also love the web site integration.
Cons: It doesn't have every whiz-bang feature, but at this price what would you expect. This is bare-bones, very easy-to-use and functional.
Other Thoughts: I broke the screen on my nuvi 200 halfway through a 2-week road trip. I went to a big-box store in a small town and bought what they had, which was a different brand. What a mistake! The other brand was much harder to use and slower. I've already sold it and I'm planning to get the nuvi 200 repaired, if that's cheaper than buying a new one.

More or less pretty good.
Pros: Small size, touch screen interface works well. Everything is well put together.
Cons: The maps were pretty lacking when I went up north in Michigan. There were several times that the unit kept telling me to turn down roads that did not exist. There were not even trails there, let alone a road to turn down. It was still quite useful, and I am planning on keeping it.
Would be nice if it included maps for Canada as well. Some of us live rather close to Canada.

Average little GPS Unit
Pros: Small size, sharp little screen, easy to use, RIDICULOUSLY cheap after Best Buy coupon, acquires signal quickly and quickly calculates the route
Cons: POI need to be updated (and there is no USB cable included for firmware updates), but mainly, the routes it has given me have been FAR from the quickest. Even more disturbing, on a recent trip from Detroit to Columbus, the unit told me I was arriving at my destination while I was still 2 miles from it!
Other Thoughts: I will continue to use this unit and see if its routing performance improves. Maybe it just needs a firmware upgrade?

Nice GPS
Pros: Nice GPS for the price. Bought it for my wife since she has a bad sense of direction. She loves it! Great interface and easy to browse. Has a section where you can save addresses (another plus for the wife).
Cons: None as of yet
Other Thoughts: If you plan to download new maps be sure you have a mini USB cable to connect to the USB port on your computer and also have a SD Card to load the new maps on. IT also charges while connected to the USB port.

Excellent value
Pros: My first personal GPS, asessment may not be complete. Easy to use, information for the driver is sufficient to get around. Sucktion mount works well. Maps of Dallas and surroundings very accurate.
Cons: Not for this price range.
Other Thoughts: Must wear bifocals to see the road and the GPS screen. Delivered in two days - thanks, NewEgg!

Excellent GPS
Pros: Very good system for the price, it does all of the important tasks on a GPS system without the enormous cost. It does everything as advertised and is nice and slim. Definitely one of the most handy and appreciated devices in the car.
Cons: It still lacks some thing such as stating street names and occasionally chooses what it thinks is an efficient route...that in reality is not the most efficient.
Other Thoughts: Awesome tool, I certainly have no fears of getting lost any longer and constantly am looking forward to driving more with it.
Just don't get too distracted from the road, try to use the sound feature as much as possible and only look at the unit if you become significantly confused.

Lacking support
Pros: Easy to operate. Was able to use the system out of the box without further assistance.
Cons: Tried to download the updated map. The download failed and Garmin will not let me try again without paying for what I should have gotten free.
Other Thoughts: Think about support when buyng a product.

Very Nice.
Pros: This is great little GPS for the money. It has the basic features and it gets the job done. Your going to pay more money for better features, but if you don't need them, then this the GPS for you.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Wish it had a carrying case included, but it doesn't.

Better then your girlfriend's direction
Pros: This thing can turn on a dime and really provide the kind of GPS you need. I've heard some folks say that it is taking its time with the signal, but it worked like a charm for me.
Cons: If this gps went into "recalculating", you can forget about having your course adjusted... In this case, the GPS is like your girlfriend and will REPEAT the guidelines to turn you back to the highway you are trying to run away from (I was trying to avoid a standstill traffic). Eventually it would adjust and send you "the right way" but that would take a lot of arguing.
Other Thoughts: How do I update software ? Manual said nothing about updating.

LIFE CHANGING DEVICE!
Pros: This device has truly improved my life, it may seem funny, but i no longer have the fear of being lost! i always get to where i wanna go just by having the address, and if the road is blocked i can just click "detour." Garmin is the best in navigation bar none. it saves all my favorite locations so i can get anywhere from anywhere painlessly, no more asking the gas station guy for directions lol.
the "points of interest" button is AWSOME. i always use it, even in my own area lol, youd be surprised by how many hidden shops and places you could find in your own town...well i live in L.A., CA so maybe thats why i dont know every place here.
this entry level system works just as well as any other garmin for directions they use the same maps, you really dont need the voice telling you the name of the street, its pretty visible on screen. no needless bells and whistles like weather and real time traffic...since you can detour anytime.
for this price, its a steal! BUY IT NOW!
Cons: NONE

Excellent entry level GPS
Pros: Excellent value for the money. Automotive and Pedestrian modes. Fast satellite acquisition. Expandability via SD cards. Able to receive Google Maps business search results.
Cons: no A/C adapter, no carrying case, no spoken street names, no best route for multiple destinations, no Bluetooth. Not really a problem because the add-ons only increase the price and this unit does its main job just fine.
Other Thoughts: Get a USB cable to connect the GPS to your computer. The USB cable from my memory card reader came in handy, as I was able to update the map to City Navigator Lower 48 States NT 2009 - Deluxe; this is a free 2GB download when you register the device at the Garmin website. Another use for the cable is to transfer Google Maps search results to the Favorites folder in the GPS, although it only works for business not home addresses. The USB cable will also recharge the unit when the PC is on, no need to buy the A/C adapter.

Overall Pleased
Pros: Beautiful bright display. Great mounting bracket. Good controls. The sound the buttons make sort of "vibrate" the unit giving it somewhat a sense of tactile feedback which is nice. Can find points of interest very quickly, and there are loads of them. Good voice, very loud. Off-road mode with GPS coords. Quick route calcs and recalcs.
Cons: Map data is a bit quirky, but no more than other GPS units. The final haul of your route may be quite inaccurate, but it will get you in the vicinity.
Other Thoughts: For the money, this is a great value. I would not have anything other than a Garmin.

Garmin Nuvi 200 Rules
Pros: Slim. Sleek. Nice screen. It fits very nicely on the windshield and is not distracting.
http://disabilitybuzz.com/2008/03/25/stop-shopping--garmin-nuvi-v-tom-tom-decision-made-in-2-minutes.aspx
Cons: It does not annouce the street names but I think it is not worth spending the extra cash to have the street names annouced. You have to have some fun.
Other Thoughts: http://disabilitybuzz.com/2008/03/25/stop-shopping--garmin-nuvi-v-tom-tom-decision-made-in-2-minutes.aspx

Pros: Battery life is good and you can charge it in your car or with a standard usb cable and your computer. It calculates and recalculates routes very quickly. Screen size is good. It does everything I need.
Cons: There was one destination that it found that was totally wrong, but all the other gps units (TomTom, Magellan) had the same exact problem. Also, it can take a couple minutes to locate satellites right away, but after it does it's fine.
Other Thoughts: It's a great GPS, definitely best one for the money.

Awesome, Tiny, GPS
Pros: Highly Portable, slips into my pocket easily. Intuitive interface, suction mount holds very well. Entering addresses is fairly easy on the touchscreen, even with big fingers.
Cons: No usb mini cable to connect to pc, no case, no text to speech
Other Thoughts: This is an awesome entry level GPS, even without text to speech capability. Spoken directions are pretty accurate("Turn left" etc).

features misleading
Pros: Easy to use, has a nice display, once updated it finds sattleites fairly quickly. It does chardge while connected to the pc.Newegg rocks I recieved my unit in just two odays. Thanks again Newegg.
Cons: No ac adapter or mini usb cable or carrying case included with the device. You cannot avoid specific roads with this unit.
Other Thoughts: II bought the Nuvi 200w. My main complaint is the product description is a bit misleading. In the feature list this is what it says : Route avoidance (avoid highways, tolls etc.: yes So one would assume that if they didnt want to travel on a specific road you would be able avoid that road . This is not true at all. You can avoid certain types of highwasy. I.e. Toll roads, car pool lanes, dirt road etc.

Great little device
Pros: I actually bought this for my wife, and we've never even used a GPS before and straight out of the box we were able to set it up and simulate trips to various places. Then the next day, we got to actually try it out. It is super easy to use, lots of Points of Interest. When making stops, it recalculates and if you pass up your turn, it shows how to correct for it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but I think thats what makes it so super easy to use. The price was about right too. Plus Newegg delivered it lightning fast too!! Thanks Newegg!
Cons: Doesn't come with an AC charging adapter or USB cable to connect to computer for updating. I had a USB cable that would work for updating though.
Other Thoughts: I think the kit should come with an AC charging adapter and a USB cable for customer convenience. Everything else is great!!

Awesome little device!
Pros: Bright screen in either day or night, very slim and compact, accurate to the point of scary, nice little picture viewer too, acquires satellites with little effort. Loud and clear voice on turns.
Cons: absolutely none!
Other Thoughts: Got this as my first entry into the GPS world. I've been tossing between this nuvi 200 and a tomtom 1/3, and all I can say is I am super glad I purchased this Garmin unit over the TomTom. At the first boot, I got a strong signal and began inputting some address and went for a test trip, got to my destination flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Pros: Small and sleek design, very portable. Works out of the box and is very easy to use. A very useful POI list that has helped me find certain stores and locations while I was on the road. Long battery life, maybe around 5 hours or so when fully charged. Great price.
Cons: Only comes with a car outlet charger, so you can only charge it in your car.
Other Thoughts: Has been very helpful so far and has got me where I needed to go accurately and quickly. When I miss an exit or make a wrong turn, it quickly guides me back on the right path. It doesn't come with many extras (aside from a unit converter, calculator, slide show, and several other extras that escape my memory), but I wouldn't have used them much anyways, and it would've only driven up the price. Overall, a wonderful device at a wonderful price.

It Works!
Pros: Great christmas present! My wife get's hysterical when she gets lost. She has been wanting one of these for a while, lol!
Cons: Our community is a year and a half old and our street still isn't on the map!
Other Thoughts: First time you hook it up, make sure the volume is turned down! We weren't sure if it was going to talk and suddenly "TURN RIGHT!!!" Scared the ever livin out of us, haha!

Perfect value vs. features
Pros: Simple interface, outstanding feature set for the price, clear voice, easy to update via internet with USB, has got me out of a few tricky situations!
Cons: I have found it hard to mount in the perfect permanent spot, so I have it on the windshield with the included accessories.
Other Thoughts: Portable GPS' are thieves latest must-have. Don't leave it in your car/truck - take it with you wherever you go.

Excellent entry-level GPS
Pros: Tiny. Though the skimpy manual does not mention USB, I was able to utilize a mini-USB cable that I had on-hand to charge the device initially though it is not operable when connected to the USB port. For the screen size, the interface is fairly usable, even in the car. The display is readable and not overly fancy. If you are looking for a low-end GPS you cannot go wrong here, it has all the must-have features for GPS navigation, if you can live without some of the bells and whistles.
Cons: Tiny. No AC power adapter ($25) or USB cable ($15) are included. Little to no mention of USB is made, even though it's the only way you can update the firmware from the web (and also a convenient way to charge it if you're not near a car). Occasionally when entering the name of something it will switch to a pick list as I'm ready to press another letter. That said, the interface is still very responsive for an embedded device. Without the ability to speak street names, the voice gets a bit monotonous ('In point three miles, turn left, then keep left' - with her urgent stress on the numbers and directions).
Other Thoughts: Search Youtube for videos of the Nuvi 200 series as well as the Mios and other. In some cases you can see side-by-side operation. This played a large role in my decision here. You can find more advanced features (such as speaking street names) on the cheaper models from Mio, but the interface looked very cramped, almost like you'd need to use a stylus (in the car?). Also, I bought this for my fiancé (not tech savvy), and she was able to operate the interface almost immediately with minimal prompting from me. The interface is consistent and the average person should take no more than 20 minutes to be comfortable with it. Uses the same mini-USB cable as Motorola phones.

Garmin is the Best
Pros: Pocket size, size of a deck of cards. easy to carry, upgraded to the version 9.0 2008 maps for free, easy downloads,Good mapping, it show near-by lakes and streams. 2D and 3D feachers,Zoom in or Out, show maps of States or whole U.S. or just roads,freeway/or highway. anti theif lock, with 4 number pin key. Easy viewing, automatic night mode, my 7 years old can pick it up and start using it, with-out reading the manual. 6 million+ point of instrest. Can never get lost 100% of the time. Can LOCK-IN your favorite place in one touch, by touching the Blue CAR, Calulator,Money converter,SD card reader. can store all your favorite places.. One touch, GO HOME, will take you home..
Cons: No Text To Speach, Meaning, Can't speak out street names, No Cable for downloads and 110v adapter, just a 12v car adapter.
Other Thoughts: about the text to speach, I know that before, I bought it, so that not a really a con, This units is really nice, I bought this units to share with my whole family, since I know the roads pretty well, I too use to AAA maps, still a member.. I find this GPS save time, just punch in the address and go, Good investment, will pay off with-in two years of use..

Solid Device
Pros: Inexpensive, accurate, highly capable.
Very user friendly and intuitive, touch screen works nicely.
Easily expandable via Garmin SD cards.
Cons: Lacks the text-to-speech found on most other units of the Garmin Product line. That means it will say "turn left in 100 feet" instead of "turn left on main street in 100 feet."
The unit's mount isn't as nice as that of the Nuvi 350.
Other Thoughts: Bought this unit after my Nuvi 350 was stolen. I haven't missed the MP3 player, but the loss of text to speech has been a little annoying. Still, for the purpose of navigating, the unit is highly capable, and comparable to any of the Garmin Products, and better than many of the competing products.

Fantastic!
Pros: Small, compact, easy to use. Very accurate on ski trip to New Hampshire, including all back roads. Fun to use. Typical well-executed Garmin product.
Cons: Screen may be too small for some, but if you are looking for something compact, it's fine.
Other Thoughts: This unit is a good bargain at these prices! Get one!

Good GPS
Pros: Nuvi 200 is very accurate and sensitive. It locks on the satellites almost instantaneous after the initial setup. The windshield mount works great, very firm and sturdy. The screen is very bright and clear. The direction is easy to understand and follow. Most of all, the price is great. I personally like how small the unit is. It came with 4 hour worth of battery power, which I can use outside my car and carry it in my pocket.
Cons: This series only has the US map, which work great if you only travels within the US. OccasionallyI will find some new places that’s not included on the map. No wall cable included, only can charge in my car.
