My first GPS
Pros: Size/weight, Shape, Day/Night backlight option, clarity of buttons, battery life, portability. Bluetooth works fine in a quiet room as a speaker phone, many touchscreen phone options.
Cons: Speaker is weak; full volume is okay if you have a quiet car, or are not listening to music (through your stereo) very loud at all.
Other Thoughts: I wish this would let you put waypoints in to structure a driving plan/itennerirary. It only gives a "Detour" option that I don't know how to operate properly yet.

Great GPS
Pros: Bought this until to replace a nuvi 250W that died and this until is even better. I like the bluetooth hookup to my headset and it quickly retrieves satelite. Also, speaking street names is a nice feature which I did not have with my previous unit. Have not had to use it for long trips but definitely a great until so far.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Great GPS for a great price.

Nice.
Pros: Small footprint. Good and fast re-routing. Finds satilites fast. POI are good.
Cons: Does not fit mount of other GARMIN gps, though I could use it in two cars.

great GPS, poor mount, poor battery life
Pros: -works even in the house -has simulation mode -small easy to fit in pocket -low cost -recalcuation is fast -map is a clear image, small screen does not affect image clarity. -spoken street names
Cons: -battery only last 1 hour on full charge -suction mount is bad on a long drive (45min or longer, maybe 15 min in the summer time) when the plastic becomes warm the mount loses suction and the GPS always falls. -some exits have slow warnings, when on highway/freeway usally only gives about 0.5 mile ahead warring, if on 5 lines and have like 2 highways merging and spliting then the 0.5miles warning is not enough for you to get the correct line. -low volumn, I drive an 06 TL and it is quiet inside the car, but it is still hard to hear the volumn on the GPS on the highway, even at max volumn level.
Other Thoughts: At first I was worried about buying the nuvi 360 because it is a 3 year old model, but i have found it functions really well. All the other stuff like bluetooth, mp3, and translator are nice but i dont use them, i just need the GPS to give me directions and the nuvi 360 does that well.
1 hour battery is ok, becuase I can always plug it in, but I am giving it a 4 out of 5 rating becasue I was expecting 4-5 hours based on the specs. the suction mount is just a bad idea. I am still trying to figure out how to get it to stay better.
I think this GPS should really be getting 3 out of 5 (it is average) but compaired to what is in the market and the low price of this unit, this is a 4 out of 5.

North America 2008 Map
Pros: Accurate as to distance until next turn. Easy to navigate through setup options.
Cons: minus 1 star because it came with version North America 2008 Map and can't update without purchasing North America 2009 Map. Purchased in 2009. I even contacted Garmin.
Other Thoughts: I purchased a Nuvi 780 months ago and it came with a upgrade to North America 2009 Map

Love it
Pros: No loading maps for different regions. Look up business/restaurants any where in the states. Bluetooth that connects to my phone when I walk by it.
Cons: The speaker when on bluetooth is quiet and makes it hard to hear. If it wasn't for that I would of gave it 5 eggs.
Other Thoughts: I am baout to buy another one for the other car.

Pros: Get to where you want to go.
Cons: Case that comes with it is too small, fit the device really tight, having a tough time pulling the device out as I worry if I'll damage it.

Awful Gps
Pros: Extra features like blue tooth and traffic updates
Cons: It gives awful directions. Compared to other GPS's that I have used Garmins are awful! Driving in a city there are many quick turns with my Tom Tom 130 it gives me plenty of time letting me know after a turn that I have to get into a certain lane and giving me future directions ahead of time to make sure I am prepared. It takes forever to find a satellite when first turning it on and its very slow recalculating again very bad when driving in a city like Boston.
Other Thoughts: I bought this GPS for my girl friend because she wanted to try a different one. She now begs for my Tom Tom. If I could return this product I would!

6 month update on Garmin nuvi 360
Pros: Intuitive, easy to start, learn, and use. Very good bluetooth capability with cell phone therefore safer driving. Surprisingly accurate estimated time of arrival. Convenient way to measure travel miles if logging distance for tax deduction purpose. Its compactness and portablity.
Cons: Difficult to place alphabet letters because it is not qwerty. Suction cup that comes with the set will fail, and the navigator always seems to fall on the floor or your lap in the most inopportune time.
Other Thoughts: I notice that especially in high altitude, the device does not always choose the most direct route, and I wish if there were a method where I can update the data so the device will learn to give me the shortest route. I ended up purchasing the place mat that sits on the dash board instead of the suction cup. I have traveled out of my town with this device; it is marvelous that I no longer have to ask for direction. (Yes, I am a man and too proud.)

It works wonderfuly
Pros: It works well, its very accurate, the features to locate alot of the restaurants around here, the ability to type in the name of the location, or the street address, or even of the intersection. It has the ability for standard card, or use it as an off road GPS or as a pedestrian or even as a bicyclist. Also has text to speach and tells you turn by street names. You can also pull up an over head view, a Mapquest like direction list where you can read all the turns and the miles till they show up all in one screen.
The bluetooth will work with my 8310 Curve with the latest updates, and over all its a good GPS for the price. If you get the MSN features its even better.
It even tells you if your location is on the left or the right.
Cons: A little slow on recalculation when driving in a down town area where street blocks end really fast. So you may want to pull over for a brief second if you can, or predict to the best of the extent you can by just taking the next turn left/right.
Also its an older unit, 2006 to be exact, so the maps are old, but on the plus to that, when you buy it, you get a free maps update from garmin.com so that is pretty much fixed.
It also tells you to turn the second you get to the turn, but with the text to speech you can tell the road name and look for the road yourself anyways. So its not that bad.
Other Thoughts: Overall a great GPS,

Pros: works great....pretty accurate as to distance until next turn. easy to navigate through setup options and so forth.
Cons: Wish volume was a little louder because i like to have my radio somewhat high volume, not a huge deal. i also hooked up my cell phone to it using bluetooth connectivity and there was quite a bit of echo on the other end of my phonecall.
Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the investment

This thing rocks
Pros: Super easy interface - extremely accurate - great price - i can change the car icon into a monster truck. - great coverage - great screen - lots of extra features.
Cons: restaurants are a little outdated.. but that also probably has to do with the nature of restaurants.

Worth The Money
Pros: I bought this for work because I am a service technician and have to travel around the city, and occasionally out of state, and I've never needed to worry about printing directions off the internet. <1% of the time it can't find the address I'm looking for. I never worry about getting lost, even when I go out of state, and has made me a reliable service tech for my company.
The estimated time of arrival is very accurate, as long as you don't stop or heavy traffic (such as from an accident or construction).
Cons: The suction thing doesn't work very well, but I guess the screen is more of a distraction anyway. I just place the unit in the little cubby above my cup holders and listen to it as it gives directions.
Doesn't have separate volume control for the voice and for the mp3 player, which would be nice.
If you're getting off at an exit that is immediately followed by a split, the unit waits till the near-least second to announce which way you need to go.
Has trouble finding the exact address of locations that are in a strip mall, but once you're there the location isn't hard to find so it doesn't matter much.
Other Thoughts: Never used the traffic receiver it has, so I don't know how well it works.

Never lost again
Pros: Easy installation and setup. Second one purchased. First for spouse and this one for her sister. Now I never get a call asking "How do I get to...". In fact I used it to find a golf course!
Cons: Wished I had gotten them sooner.

Update on previous review
Pros: This is an update to my last review in 11/07. The Bluetooth function works really well as a handsfree device. My (now ex) girlfriend called me several times from her Jeep Liberty (tin can , very loud) and I was able to understand her with limited background noise.
Cons: Be careful of the spoken languages you use: foreign country voices that use "English", like Australian, sometimes use phrases that aren't familiar to us here in the US. Just be aware of that. FM in Texas means Farm to Market but in Australia it's translated as Federation of Micronesia. It can be humorous. Oh, the ex kept it. Said it was hers.
Other Thoughts: At under 3 bills this is a very good deal. Just when you park your vehicle take it out of sight, i.e., remove it from your dash. If not, someone will break your window, take it and sell it on e-auction-bay for some quick cash.

Perfect GPS
Pros: Got this GPS to make a trip to my sister's wedding. My very non-tech mother-in-law was coming along to watch our kiddos while we did wedding stuff. This GPS got her around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with ease. She used it with her bluetooth phone and loved the hands free phonebook sync while driving. Kiddos got hungry she went to the POI and looked up what they wanted to eat, called ahead, and clicked on GO and they rest was history. Super simple to use and a major life saver for her and my kiddos. They could get out and go places and not just sit in the hotel for 4 days.
Cons: I found the speaker a little hard to hear in our truck when driving on concrete freeways... but it may have just been my mother-in-law, wife, and kids talking nonstop for 4 hours from San Antonio to Dallas.
Other Thoughts: This thing will read your text messages to you when you sync it via bluetooth...word for word...even the bad ones.

Pros: Easy to use apps, very up-to-date maps. Easy to read screen, even on the bright dashboard. Plenty of voice options, good mounting options.
Cons: Slow start up, takes 45-90 seconds to find itself which can be frustrating when trying to use quickly. Battery life is not very good when being used on top volume and brightness, which is needed when driving in a car(It does come with a car charger though).
Other Thoughts: Love it, need it, glad I have it!

Pros: Very lightweight and fast, what most amazed me about this system is the ability to call POIs directly from the unit itself, though my phone's bluetooth connection. The eight-hour battery life is quite impresive as well.
Cons: The bluetooth connection is pretty weak and seems to disconnect unless the phone is sitting out in the open. I used to miss calls while driving and thought this would solve the problem, but as long as the phone remains in my pocket, the connection will disrupt.
Other Thoughts: The price has dropped incredibly since its release, making it a great, low price commodity.

Garmin GPS
Pros: Very intuitve. Easy to navigate menus. Short learning curve. Screen adequate size for most situations. Voice prompts clear and distinct.
Cons: Makes mistakes at hight latititudes, i.e. some places in Alaska. Does not have some POI that I expected.

Overall good value/features
Pros: $900 when it was first out, snagged this one for $250 a couple of years later. bluetooth, custom pois (got every red light camera in the US loaded in), mp3 player, 2GB extra storage on a card.
Cons: POI database out of date. Was sent on my first wild goose chase looking for a grocery store around San Diego in an area I was not familiar with. Went to two stores that had been moved.
Other Thoughts: Overall a great value. Bluetooth works as a headset with my phone, internal speaker is not loud enough while driving on the freeway or with A/C on, but if I plug the 3.5mm jack out to my amplifier/speakers, the internal microphone doesn't work. So I bought the $20 Garmin microphone that plugs into the bottom of the base. Hopefully this will solve my issues.

It does NOT have an FM traffic receiver
Pros: Just upgraded from a Nuvi 250 to this Nuvi 360. Works great!
Cons: Newegg item description says: "It has an FM TMC traffic receiver so you can be warned about trouble ahead on your route and adjust accordingly."
Just so you know, it does NOT come with one. If you want one you can buy one separately.

Nuvi 360 - Satisfied
Pros: I bought this based on reviews but my experience was a little different then some. The voice on my unit does not have a British accent, (I think I may have liked that actually), maybe it is a newer model (purchased 5/08). My unit also had a free map update available from the web site for $10 shipping for the disk (2009 maps) your can download for free but it takes hours with high speed and we have dial up, not an option. Garmins technical support is excellent. Overall the unit has functioned well and is easy to understand and start using.
Cons: Not really a a con but it sent me different directions to get back home from what I got for getting to a location. Either one was valid. It was just kind of odd.
Other Thoughts: Will be using the unit for a Western trip of several thousand miles this summer. I will have a much better feel for it.

Power buttom does not work properly
Pros: It worked as others described, meaning pretty well... as long as I managed to turn it on...
Cons: The power button does not work as (I think) it should.
Other Thoughts: Maybe I got a defective unit, but it doesn't boot up. I need to push the power button like ten times indifferent ways to boot it up. Sometime I use reset button. As long as it's on, it works as advertised. Looks like a good product. I am very disappointed. Maybe I should ask for replacement, but I don't want to pay the shipping fee or restocking fee for this problem. I don't know. If it's solved I will change the rating. First time to have problem with products I ordered from Newegg. Oh well, they shipped very quickly.

Best GPS at all
Pros: High performance, can save you time driving. Small and convinence. Enough infomation to show you what to do. Sometimes can give you an optional route this GPS says it is better and you can choose it. Have Detour function.
Cons: Recalculate the route too slow that you may miss the other turn easily. The GPS is sometimes confused to telling you to keep left or right on highway. The last order is too slow that some "blind" drivers who just use the GPS by hearing the voice will make a miss a turn or an exit easily.
Other Thoughts: I used the GPS to go from Missouri to Florida, this helps me a lot to drive, but not by printing out the Google Map. We have 3 drivers going to Florida, but only one driver knows how to use this GPS and get the directions correctly. So this GPS is not suitable for "blind" drivers who do not watch the GPS to get informations at all. Also, just my idea. If the map is like the Google's map, can design the route myself, it will be the absoultely a great GPS and I will absoulely wanna buy it.

Updated review Add a star
Pros: This is an update to my initial review on 1-10-08: I just got off the phone with Garmin technical support and I can hardly say how positive that experience was. The phone did not even complete 1 ring when a very polite and English speaking person picked up. A few minutes later, after giving them my credit card information, a cross-ship RMA was arranged.
The speaker in my unit was working intermittantly and was distorted when it did work in the last week. Mind you, I am a Field Technician for pretty much every major PC maker and I use my GPS far more than most consumers. Since my unit works fine still in giving directions and the only problem is the internal speaker, being able to keep using my defective unit while I wait to receive the replacement is excellent.
Cons: My unit was not free.:-)
Other Thoughts: The technical rep. could not have been better. Service like this for electronics is very rare. The Garmin rep. stated that high-quality service and product is top priority for Garmin owners. Bravo Garmin! Needless to say, I am now more of a Garmin fan than ever. My PC repair customers will hear about this if the subject comes up.

Easy to use right out of box
Pros: Works as described, easy to set up, and easy to operate. Cant beat Newegg for fast shipping and customer service so that's why I stayed with them even though some sites offered better price. Also, everything that's in the pictures is actually in the box...unlike some other sites. My Garmin nuvi 360 is new, not refurbished and I paid $299.00 at Newegg. I think it's a good deal, and I'm real happy with it.
Cons: Battery not user replaceable.
Other Thoughts: I added the "free replacement" policy from Newegg's partner Service net. Hope I don't need it, but if so it's nice to have. Other sites don't even offer it.

Good but not great.
Pros: The GPS works great. Small, sleak looking.
Cons: Music player and phone function have some holes. I wish there was different volume controls for the music/phone/directions so I didn't have to listen to someone telling me where to go when listening to music. No shuffle function for the music. Not really the Ipod replacement I was hoping it would be.

The best spent $350
Pros: The device is good to have. It works well and most of places I look for are in the system. The text to speech is great and it works well with my cell phone using the bluetooth function.
Cons: I first used this in Vegas and it worked most of the time. There were a few exits on major highways that were a few off. It also led me down a dead end street while I was attempting to find a store. It is sometimes hard to get a signal when you first turn it on. It can take up to a minute sometimes. I have no idea how to update the system. The instructions are not very good. The MP3 player and photo viewer are totally useless.
Other Thoughts: I was just a lilttle upset that the week after bought it the price dropped. But it really has been the best electronic toy that I have ever bought. As soon as I figure out how to update the thing I will be very happy. But what can I say except it just works.

Garmin nuvi 360
Pros: Clear text-to-speech capability, easy configuration with bluetooth cell phone, its compactness and portablity
Cons: Lack of signal to inform the rechargeable battery is fully charged, inability to play music via car stereo
Other Thoughts: This is our first GPS unit that we purchased. Had previous experience with GPS unit with rental car. My wife was interested in GPS so that she can take our kids to baseball game to places where she had never been to. This particular unit was recommended by CNET. Two items I was seeking were text-to-speech and hands free speaker phone via bluetooth. The instruction manual was succinct, and the unit was up and running within 30 minutes. The installation apparatus to the windshield was simple and easy to remove. This portablity is important to prevent break-in to your car now that GPS is one of the more popular items for thieves. The compactness enables us to measure the distance we run for exercise. Newegg did not have the lowest price, but I have trusted it to be one of the best online business for high tech items.

Great Product
Pros: Portable, I have 3 vehicles 1 GPS works in all :-). The blue tooth capability is a nice touch pairs up easily with multiple phones works great. At first was not real interested in MP3 playback, but what a great added feature you buy 2gig SD card for less than $20 and store a lot of audio. Music stops to receive phone calls or direction updates connects to car stereo
Cons: Some would think price, but compared to 2 grand dealer option in new car small price / plus it is portable. Some would say 3.5" screen but surprisingly enough it is not a issue at all
Other Thoughts: The accessories that come with it cover all bases / car adapter, A/C Adapter/ carrying pouch, mounting hardware / USB cable.

Great device
Pros: Great device!!! It’s easy to operate and very intuitive menu. I was surprised how fast it would recalculate the route when you miss the turn and how it adjust the voice guidance to the actual speed of the vehicle.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: The power supply cable is very stiff and make it difficult to accommodate when you position the GPS on your left side of the steering wheel.

Worth Every Penny
Pros: Very portable. Simple to use. Many additional features. Bluetooth phone pairing is wonderful. This is an altogether great value for the price.
Cons: External microphone should be included.
Other Thoughts: Don't blame Garmin for missing new roads. Blame the map provider--Navteq in this case

good
Pros: Has never let me down on my many field calls to random addresses in the chicagoland area. Finds closest business/resturaunt/gas station w/phone number, just hit the call button on nuvi and auto calls place of interest. Love the time of arrival, it has been precise for me. I navigate express ways like the back of my hand. speedometer is awesome
Cons: 4 gig card max. doesn't pick up newly built I 355 to I 80. Must have one forever now. sometimes it takes several minutes to find satelights.
Other Thoughts: had 360 and tom tom side by side in my car and was difficult to decide. 360 was better but also more expensive. it was a rough choice for me but went by newegg reviews and i am not disappointed.

SoFarSoGood
Pros: This was a b'day gift for the spousal unit and she was able to use it the next day on a trip from Texas to Kentucky. Quite easy to use. Dig the Aussie chick voice.
Cons: Menus are good, but some seem to be in a less than optimum order as you dig down to get to useful functions. But I know I'm very picky about this subject.

Solid GPS
Pros: Quality build. Excellent map (unit shipped with up-to-date map). Excellent routing engine. Fast re-route. Good POIs data. Custom POIs. Easy to use. Other: get the unit from Newegg within 3 days.
Cons: Cost compare to other GPS units that have the same navigation performance. Need to read the manual for some useful quick access keys.
Other Thoughts: I bought the Nuvi 360 for a lady friend so that I can escape the designated driver duty. So far, she is very happy driving around with the GPS (and that makes me so happy). I chose the Nuvi 360 over the Magellan Maestro 4040 and the TomTom One because I own the Nuvi 660 and I trusted the performance of the Nuvi series.

excellent
Pros: Good maps. Bluetooth links to phone and works great as speaker/handsfree phone. New SirXIII chipset gets sats inside the house with ease. Gives turn commands well in advance. Verbal commands very easy to understand.
Cons: Could be a little louder but about as loud as could be expected.
Other Thoughts: Added 2Gig SD card for even more memory. MP3 player works well. Very compact and usable in car or walking. Good battery life.

Other Than the Maps...
Pros: Solid build and very nice interface. Compact size and ability to conveniently slip the unit into a pocket is fantastic! The mounting system is superior to most other units I've seen and tried.
Cons: Many!
The biggest is the outdated map, even though Garmin says it's their most up-to-date available. I've found so many roads, interchanges and businesses that aren't listed, it's quite surprising. Some were completed within 6 months, which is reasonable, but others have been in place for over 10 years! My TomTom XLS hasn't missed anything, even a new interstate exit nearby that just opened 3 months ago!
The speaker and microphone are close to useless. Road noise in all but the most high end luxury cars overwhelms both, even at full volume. Bluetooth killer!
Having to tap the screen 5 times while driving just to turn up or down the volume is dangerous and incredibly annoying. A mute option on the front screen would do wonders in overcoming this major flaw. Or a volume wheel along the edge...
Lack of included desktop software to create and maintain settings, address books, POI's and even maps. I thought I could live with this, but it's proving to be a big issue!
Other Thoughts: I researched and tried various GPS units for a very long time before settling on the Nuvi 360. I was aware of many of the issues mentioned above prior t purchasing, but was surprised at how much of an issue some of them have become. I initially purchased a TomTom XLS the day they came out, but returned it two weeks later, after riding with a friend with a 360 and comparing them side by side on a 600 miles trip. The routing on the 360 seemed to make more sense and I decided I preferred the compact size of the 360 over the 4.5" screen and odd shape of the TomTom XLS. I wish now I hadn't returned it, as this deal from NewEgg is non-returnable and I'm stuck with it. Lesson learned...
I give it a three because it's not a bad product, so much as it just has shortcomings, particularly in consideration of the price compared to other similar products!
I'm hoping for a software update from Garmin to add a mute option to the map screen. I can probably live with the rest.

Small, Fast, Reliable
Pros: Excellent GPS. Its a Garmin so its the best. Fast calculations. Sensitive antenna. Bright easy to read screen. Srceen visible in daylight. Screen switches to night mode automatically when the hours change to night. Speaks full road names. You can choose from a couple of voices.
Cons: Wish I had got the higher end model with the FM transmitter for playing you MP3s over you car stereo !
Other Thoughts: Dont by anything but Garmin for GPS!

The best deal out there by far! ! !
Pros: There's no question that this GPS is user friendly. What I like the most is the blue tooth. I live in NY and you can't talk on your cell phone while driving without some sort of hands free device. When I turn on the 360, it automatically links with my cell phone, loads all my contacts and I'm good to go. When someone calls me, an icon appears and I just press it to pick up. I bought the microphone for it and it's attached to my visor. People have no idea I'm talking to them hands free through my GPS.
Cons: without the microphone for the blue tooth, people have a harder time hearing me. I think they hear an echo, or a delay, which causes them to talk at the same time I'm talking. The microphone fixes this problem and it only costs $15.
Other Thoughts: If you have a blue tooth capable phone, get this GPS. It works extremely well.

Exellent GPS
Pros: This is a great PNA. Purchased for my wife who is directionally challenged to say the least. She can now enter her information and find places without fear of getting lost. It is easy to program and accepts the SDHC cards to add additional routes as well as lots of songs if desired.
Cons: Does not support all of the LG & Moto Bluetooth phones. Check the list on Garmin site if this is critical to you.
Other Thoughts: This is my second Garmin GPS and both are sturdy and well made. The Nuvi 360 is capable of firmware updates via the usb cable as well as map updates. Since I have two Garmin units I'll be able to share the updates between the two units. Updates are usually about $75.00 per year. We also opted to purchase the optional car mount that is on a non slip bean bag mount rather than use the windshield mount that came with it. This allows use in multiple vehicles without fear of damaging unit during use without the windshield mount. By the way, Newegg.com's price rocks, it beat the competition by OVER $100.00

Great unit
Pros: Excellent routing, excellent maps. Interface is good. Most of the things you'd want to do are available, but it can take some time to find them all. I also have a TomTom Go 510, which has more options, but most of those options are not particularly useful, and the TomTom doesn't have nearly as good maps or routing software. The text-to-speech is remarkably good, and the mount is solid.
Cons: Doesn't include a Mapsource DVD. You don't need it, but it can be handy for managing your favorites list.
Other Thoughts: A stellar performer. Highly recommended.

Quite Impressive
Pros: Quick satellite acquisition, worked right out of the box. The GPS was fully charged when I took it out of the box. Setup was very simple. Love the fact that the SD card slot is available for other things and not to hold maps.Love the MP3 player, pauses when the navigator is speaking. The Bluetooth setup was very quick, in just under a minute I had my MDA synced with my GPS and also showed my contacts, call history etc.
Cons: Doesn't seem to identify my home address precisely. Seems to be off by a few yards. Return route is different from the forward route. POI doesn't seem to pick up the closest stores, restaurants etc. When I tried to find Costco or Walmart I was shown one that was about 15+ miles away where as I have one just around 7 miles away from home. Not sure if this data is out of date and have to download the latest ones.
Other Thoughts: Lot of features packed into this small device. Love the small screen, light weight and easy to use menu. Overall for the price and the features can't complain. Garmin has done an awesome job with the 360.

Darned Tootin'
Pros: Very easy to use, I didn't look at the instructions to get this working (typical guy). Bluetooth interface with your phone and make hands-free calls. It displays the person/number that's calling you too.
Cons: My girlfriend decided she needed it more than I do so now it's hers. I tried a POI in my town and it was off, luckily already knew where I was going.
Other Thoughts: Other than the POI issues already mentioned and the fact I bought this for myself but no longer have it (thanks to my girlfriend falling in love with it) it's a great unit, want to get another one for me (again) now. Awesome Newegg price, it's cheaper here than anywhere else!

I love it. I hate it? I love it !
Pros: It will get you there. It has mp3 player that will pause for direction notifications. Small, lightweight, can be used in "pedestrian" mode. It (almost) correctly pronounces street names. Night mode and bluetooth make it even more useful.
GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT - they didn't work off a stupid list, identified issue right away, got me replacement in a week and kept my custom POIs in a brand-new device with 2008 maps data. They also got me new external antenna (as a potential solution for my hardware problem - see in cons).
Cons: -Lots of POI coordinates are TOTALLY wrong, up to 5 miles wrong (applies to 2006 or 2007 maps). Example: Paws and Claws in Poconos (PA), Target store in NJ (on RT. 22), Shooting Range (PA), The Crossings outlets (in PA), etc. Very frustrating at first, then I learned its quirks and started getting locations on the map (usually from websites) BEFORE driving there using 360.
-Single VIA point (you can program only single "through" point between you start point and destination point. Hasn't been really issue for me.
-It broke down - stopped seeing satellites. Seems like a known issue (search the web).
-Traffic updates require rather expensive option and monthly subscription charge after 15 mon.
-It tried to route me through some long-closed road (at least 10 years as closed). They use NAVTEQ data, but there is no excuse.
Other Thoughts: Is it perfect? I wanted to believe so when I bought it after a month of research.
Is it perfect? Definitely no. However, it was a godsend to the guy who could get lost in his own driveway (and would not ask for directions)
Would I buy it again? Most definite yes. Thats why I gave it 4 and not 1.

Almost perfect, you'll love it.
Pros: Easy to use and gives almost perfect directions. Satellite reception is exceptional. View ability of the screen even in sunlight is very good.
Cons: If you deny a connection to your Bluetooth device it will hound you forever to make the connection (about every 30 sec.). But you can always temp. disable Bluetooth.
No way to replace the rechargeable batteries yourself.

My new favorite toy
Pros: Lots of PROS! This unit is great at everything it does. GPS is very accurate and maps are up to date. Bluetooth works perfectly with my Treo 650. Includes more features than I need but I admit they are cool to have. I thoroughly tested all it's functions, and I have to admit they are well designed and very intuitive. Even though I've only had a few days to experiment with the unit, I feel I'm already a pro at it because it is so easy to use. Also Garmin's tech support was excellent in getting my phone and GPS updated and working together. (best tech support line I ever called) At this price I don't think you can find a better automotive/ handheld GPS.
Cons: Not much. One thing I did try that did not work so well was to run the sound through my car stereo via the headphone jack (just as an experiment). It actually did work, but the volume on the stereo had to be way high for me to hear it which wasn't practical if I wanted to quickly switch from my stereo music to the GPS unit (for phone calls or directions). I guess I'll have to stick with using the headphone jack for headphones, haha. Regardless, the built-in speaker on the Nuvi works great as is, so running the sound through my stereo isn't necessary.
Other Thoughts: I think as far as firmware goes, Garmin has fixed any problems with it's most recent updates, including phone compatibility issues and the recent daylight savings time change. (check their website to see if your phone is compatible) The unit finds satelites just fine without any destinations and does take 20-30 sec. to boot. (I don't see this as a con since my car takes longer than that just to warm up) The mount that comes with the unit works great (I dash-mounted mine as opposed to winshield) and the variety of voices to choose from for directions is very nice! I buy a good bit of my electronic devices from Newegg but never write reviews. I was very impressed with this purchase so I just wanted to say Bravo to Newegg for the absolute lowest prices and super quick delivery. I'll continue to be a happy customer... And Bravo also to Garmin for a great product and great customer service.

Expensive but so worth it!
Pros: I love the size of this thing and that I can actually put this in my pockets. Since I have the sidekick 3 I am used to having a huge devicein my pocket anyway lol. But this thing is amazing I was going to get a TomTom, but my friend that is a mountain climber highly suggested that I go with a Garmin instead because they have more accurate maps than TomTom, and since he is the head IT guy and a mountain climber with several gps units I went with his advice and I dont regret it. I love the built in bluetooth the speaker is also clear and loud, to me its a safety issue that I can drive and speak on my cell phone without taking my hands off the wheel just for a second to accept the call.
Cons: Well yes there are some things I dont like, for one I hate that gps mount, you know how many times that thing falls off the window and then my gps falls and I panic because I dont want my gps to get damaged? So I purchased this mount that is the size of my arm its so huge LOL but hey I dont want my gps falling. I live in New York it always falls when you are exiting the Tri Boro bridge, I even slowed down and it still falls off, I have to pull over to get the gps from the floor and put it back on the window. 2nd thing is the 1 second lag, so you have to drive a little slower than usual so you dont miss your exit or turn, even though it automatically recalculates which I love.
Other Thoughts: I am a student. I cant afford to buy things like this but this sure is worth every penny. Gives you peace of mind, I almost crashed my car into the dividers before trying to read mapquest printouts on the highway LOL. Even when I take a cab I actually use this thing to help the cab driver when they dont know where they are going they should give me a discount for that.

Sweet Little GPS
Pros: I have been using this nice little GPS for a few weeks and really like the Bluetooth integration with my Motorola Razr phone. I did nor expect to use my phone through the GPS, but I really like the hands free capability.
The various dialects allow for some interesting voice interaction with the unit. I like Karen the Austrailian voice the best.
Cons: A little slow in aquisition, but not intolerable.
Other Thoughts: Simple interface, good navigation algorithm.

Well worth it!
Pros: The only thing better than the NUVI is buying a new car with built-in GPS/bluetooth. I was mostly concerned with the navigation on this system and didn't really consider the extras in making my decision. But now that i have them, they sure are nice. I like being able to run my MP3s thru my car cassette adapter and then having it pause when "Australian Karen" needs to tell me where to go. I used to always miss calls b/c i never hear my phone ringing, but the bluetooth speakerphone works great with my treo. I throw my bag in the trunk of my car at the end of the day and never worry about missing calls again. By the way, the navigation is excellent as well.
Cons: The English Emily voice leaves a lot to be desired and generally sounds pretty distorted; but not that big of a deal since i like the aussie check anyways. Also, the MP3 player will never replace an IPOD...but it still is serviceable....just no playlists.
Other Thoughts: Screen is awesome, speaker sounds clear, and window mount is sturdy as heck. This is a $xxxx options upgrade when buying a new car for 7 bills. You can't beat that.

VERY NICE GPS!!
Pros: Even though I've seen fantastic reviews of this device on several sites, I was apprehensive about the screen size being as useful as I WANTED it to be. Right off the bat, I have to say I am extremely pleased with this GPS.
As stated below in other reviews, this unit can 'take 15-20 seconds or so' to lock onto satellite signals before it’s ready to accept input, which is the reason I took a point off.
With that said, I LOVE the fact that I can take this unit with me ANYWHERE. I’ve been waiting a long time to get a GPS which in MY personal opinion would ‘fit the bill’ so to speak, and I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my gadgets! I’m not a freak who needs all the newest stuff on the market but, the stuff I do get, I want it to work well, all the time!
Another thing that impressed me was, while at work, I used it to play MP3s for about 5 hours or so (backlight completely off and sound set to about 50%) and, when I checked the battery level, it was still FULL – WOW!
Cons: As noted above, this GPS does take a long time to lock onto satellite signals. The reviewer below states 15 to 20 seconds or so... Although I haven't timed it, I'm willing to bet it takes longer than that, or at least it sure seems like it when you're in a hurry to get somewhere other than where you currently are.
The other thing I’m bummed about is that my Verizon Trēo 650 does not connect with this thing via Bluetooth. I’ll accept fault on this though since I did not check Garmin’s website to confirm the list of cellular phones with which the Bluetooth capability in this unit works. I’m not too upset though, I’ve been planning to upgrade to the Trēo 700 anyway. This is just another reason to do it sooner.
Other Thoughts: This unit did not have the latest firmware (according to Garmin’s website) so, my first task, before anything else, was to upgrade it. This was the easiest upgrade process I could’ve imagined. The firmware upgrade went exactly as stated in the manual (or online – can’t remember where I saw the instructions). Bravo, Garmin!
And, as usual, Newegg.com was expedient in there process of charging my CC and getting that baby out the door and over to mine! I’ve been a faithful user of Newegg.com for over five years with my business ($50K–$70K/year in orders) and they have never disappointed me in when all is said and done. Newegg.com is #1!

Works Well
Pros: Once the unit boots up (which takes 15-20 seconds or so) it almost immediately locks onto a satellite signal. It gives good directions and appears to work well. This is my second GPS (my first was a Magellan Meridian Platinum) and it is by far a much superior unit.
Cons: For some strange reason, the unit will not lock onto any satellite signals unless a destination is set. For instance, if you turn it on and click on "map", it wont start tracking satellites. You must enter a destination first. I don't know if the unit is designed this way or not. My email inquiry to Garmin has not yet been responded to.
Other Thoughts: This unit appears to have features that I could not find in any other GPS. It can be used in both a car and handheld, in pedestrian mode. It also has a bunch of other features such as an MP3 player, restaurant guide, etc. If you are in the market for a portable GPS, this is a good choice.

Firmware Problem
Pros: very portable quick address selection
Cons: locks up with "updating bluetooth firmware" inadequate speakers slow in accessing business addresses
Other Thoughts: I have owned a garmin streetpilot for the past 5 years and was ready for a replacement. When the nuvi 360 I thought it would be great. Was I wrong. The stupid thing just says "updating bluetooth firmware" when you turn it on and locks up. You have to press the reset button to get it to boot which is not easy to get to when you have it attached to your windshield. When I phoned Garmin about the problem they first said they didn't know about it. I said I found multiple internet hits with people who were getting the same thing and then they changed their story. I asked what to do and they said wait for the firmware update, WHICH ISN'T OUT YET. The beta version is 2.52 and that DOESN'T fix it. From what I understand it is a hit an miss thing as to whether your unit will have the problem.
