Star Ocean Last Hope Xbox 360 Review
Pros: delightfull upgrade to the graphics. if you enjoyed the graphical style of 'till the end of time, than you'll enjoy it here too. 1080 star ocean looks amazing on my 1080 tv amazing matoi sakurabura tunes awesome battle engine. not quite the same as till the end of time, but the pacing is better. amazing backdrops
Cons: little tough for new players to instantly get into boss fights aren't for the timid Casual Gamers might be put off by the length of commitment but die hard star ocean fans will feel they got their moneys worth
Other Thoughts: straight up, if you're a star ocean fan, GET THIS. if your a typical jrpg fan, this is an excellent purchase if your a casual gamer looking for a casual game look elsewhere, because this is a soap opera among the stars

A good game, wait till it goes down in price.
Pros: The graphics are simplly amazing. The opening movie has a classical score showing the worst parts of mankind using nuclear weapons. It then transfers into outerspace and Moonbase. Where the first succesful warp drive is made. This game is fun, and if you can mash the A button, hold B, flick the left stick, and repeat, then you can fight in this game. The battle skills (called Arts in this game) are mapped to the left and right triggers, which makes them feel a bit odd compared to the last game. Beautiful scenery on every world, detailed textures. The sand glistens in the light. The water looks real. It's a decent RPG. I preordered it, haven't regret it yet. Lot's of trophies to collect. (100 per charecter)
Cons: The game throws you a slap to the face early on, as your lovable protaonist becomes an UBER idiot and has Bi-Polar and mood swings. He's stuck in this mode for about 6 hours or more of gameplay (including cutscenes). But he EVENTUALLY comes out of it...thank heaven. Some of the cutscenes are a bit cheesy at times, like Reimi chasing Lymle around the ship and falling down to keep her from drawing on the floor (I busted up at that one). No matter how many PA's you see, it won't affect who you end up with. You'll see the top 4 endings depending on how many Points you get with your crew. I had Reimi, Bacchus, Sarah, and Muria. Game is way to short. At 40 hours at least, thats TOO SHORT. You can beat another 20 out of it by doing ALL of the quests and bonus dungeons.
Other Thoughts: Graphics: AMAZING! Cannot beat them...unless you're Final Fantasy 13 :P
Sound: Good, Voice acting is a bit wierd sometimes
Replability: Moderate...It will take about 5 back to back playthroughs to get everything.

Mediocre
Pros: Combat is interesting.
Cons: As others have said, the voice acting, writing, dialogue and plot is utterly terrible. If you are into j-pop and the whole cheesy anime stuff (the cheesy stuff, not the semi-normal stuff) you will probably only be disgusted by any of this a few times.
Other Thoughts: For anybody who has never played a jrpg - do not make this one your first. It captures some of the worst elements of the genre.
If you are a jrpg fan this game will be good for about 35 hours of entertainment. (The five hours that you spend watching the terrible cut-scenes isn't really entertainment.)

fun action RPG
Pros: The battles are fun, and item creation isn't difficult to grasp.
There are scenes that are quite hilarious.
Cons: In other scenes, the characters make painfully bad decisions.
I was annoyed with Lymle's voice acting at first but have gotten used to it.
Other Thoughts: Some of the character interaction scenes can be missed easily.

Not a bad game
Pros: Fun battle system. Easily change between characters and try new, interesting moves/combos. The easy to understand equipping system and leveling make me feel like I am playing old Final Fantasy...somewhat.
Cons: Very bad, sometimes over-the-top, voice acting. Most can be tolerated, but there will be a couple that will test your nerves. Graphics are nice, but have the standard bright, primary colors at times. The story line is also boring and unoriginal. You also get the feeling that the developers could have put more time into connecting locations more aesthetically to maintain a feeling of immersion.
Other Thoughts: Through all of my problems with the game, it is very fun, and the battle system is nice enough to really sweeten the purchase. If you enjoy standard console RPG's, I'm sure you will like it.
