Moved from WinMobile
Pros: This is a nice solid phone, it starts fast and acquires the GSM signal very quickly with just about the best range of any GSM phone I've owned. I like the PC Suite software that Nokia provides, it lets me sync my Outlook contacts & calendar with virtually no problems. I cant tell you how many hours I suffered with ActiveSync so this was a relief & a breeze. Nice screen albeit small but you knew that, decent call quality although there are a few strange artifacts that slip in from time to time.
Cons: Nested menus - what a throwback. I've an old Nokia from Voicestream (late 90's) and the menu structure hasn't changed that much. Think of it this way, when you get into a voice mail system and they say push 1 for X and 2 for Y and you drill down that way. It's a style and either you love the structure or hate it, I'm the latter although you do get used to it. Symbian needs an overhaul here, they still do things like it was 10 years ago, like trying to respond to a txt, with WinMo it just automatically assumes you're going to respond and puts you in that mode, not so here, you go to Options, then reply then via text, it's a style but a pain.
Other Thoughts: Not to be to harsh here, this phone has uber connectivity, is easy to tether and works well. One thing however, it will not connect to T-Mobile 3g here in the states, they use a different frequency so you are stuck with edge. I generally like it and would recommend it.

Great Device Wait for it to go on sale.
Pros: Crisp Display, Bright Message indicator light. Good external speaker sound (ringer and speaker phone), fast UMTS access on at&t.
Cons: Absence of GPS, bottom row of keypad is hard to press with thumbs, Low memory errors often (could be something I do). No Ovi Store support yet.
Other Thoughts: I really like this phone. I switched from a Nokia E90. I was waiting for he E52 or E55 to release in the US but when I saw the E51 on sale for $189.95 I had to buy it. This phone does every thing S60 OS can even with no Ovi store you just have to install via Nokia PC Suite.
It will be a hard sell to get me to upgrade to the E52. The E51 can do almost everything the E52 can and I got it for a great price.

Reliability pure ...
Pros: Still one of the best and most reliable cell phones on the market. Excellent audio quality, excellent reception, perfect connectivity via WLAN, BLUETOOTH, GPRS and INFRARED; now even with full-featured office suite (free upgrade for E-Series), aluminum housing (front and battery door). Plenty of 3rd-party SW available ...
Cons: Screen almost too small with 2" but you get used to it. Camera below average - even for a 2MP!
Other Thoughts: If you don't really need a camera but you look for a reliable smart phone with excellent reception and audio quality - look no further! You found it!

Nokia E51
Pros: Great phone !! Better than I was expecting. It does everything from music to GPS, email, and still can view pdf and excel files. Cam is fairly good, sound quality is awesome, as good as ipod. Earphones are small but comfortable. Pretty basic look but does everything I need and more. More than satisfied with the phone.
Cons: Screen is kinda small but it is workable and u will get use to it. Setup can be confusing at the beginning due to those tons of functions but after u r done, it is just enjoyable.

We love these phones
Pros: BlackBerry Connect for Nokia (download the E90 version) is t3h AWESOME! No more POP/IMAP! It syncs my schedule too. Thin and small body, but is still easy to hold/find/use/pocket. Google Maps (killer app), Mail and YouTube (meh) PC Sync and mass storage modes for USB connections means multi-OS support Great built in web browser and multimedia support. MicroSD storage can be set as default location for app data.
Cons: No USB charging (wtfork)? Bought an extra chargers for the office, car and travel. No integrated GPS. Use bluetooth gps or cell phone tower for current location. No camera flash and camera is useless in low-light. There is no workaround. Not a carrier supported handset. This leads to longer support calls when I need them to do something simple and also T-Mo's web site offers rate plans and options based on your phone type, so all my changes must be by voice, not online.
Other Thoughts: My wife and I both use these phones every day. It is w/o a doubt the best phone I have ever had. I have had several Motorola phones and none have been as nice or functional. I wanted a phone w/ PDA features, not a Blackberry or Windows Mobile kludge that adds calling to a PDA.
I still get iPhone envy when I see the ads, but the Nokia multi-tasks better (Apple's dirty secret). The Nokia e71x has the same great Symbian S60 OS and built-in apps, is thinner, has GPS and a qwerty keyboard (wider than e51). Check that out too.

Excellent Nokia Phone
Pros: Many applications, small/slim design, memory capability (purchased an 8gig stick for it, but have not used it yet), battery life is great, good looking design, OS seems fast and efficient, great cell reception and call quality (AT&T), FM radio works fine and has good reception.
Cons: The phone is a fingerprint magnet, but I plan on getting a cover for it anyway. I had trouble connecting to my wireless LAN at first (It could have been my router settings). Other than that, I have no huge complaints for this phone.
Other Thoughts: Nokia is a proven cell phone company with excellent products. I've owned many Nokias and all have operated flawlessly! I recommend this phone for someone searching for a small smartphone that packs a load of features! Once again, NewEgg has delivered with fast shipping! Thanks NewEgg!

Pros: wifi 3g mini usb symbian OS sip microsd slim, classy design
Cons: candybar (personal preference) side buttons are practically useless, luckily you don't need them. screen is small for a smart phone but it keeps formfactor small
Other Thoughts: After getting used to nokia's symbian s60 interface I find it rather efficient. A good taskmanager such as jbak taskman will make it even smoother. Wifi works very well on this phone, i am using it with a wap encrypted connection with no issues. I also like the ability to turn down the transmit power to 3mw from 10/100mw, which must save battery. I get good 3g signals here in Calgary with speeds of 500kb/s and up. Tethering is very easy with nokia's pc suite which is excellent software for overall interfacing between your computer and the phone. Built in sip works very well on this phone, it is very clear with minimal lag. This is not designed to be a multimedia phone but I'm impressed with its abilities. The built in music player is fine for basic playback but the real power is with 3rd party apps which enable playback of high encoded divx movies without re encoding them. Speaker is clear and loud. There is not enough room to talk about all the merits but thats a start.

Whoops!
Pros: Navigability: Made a mistake. It does have a toggle button. By default it's set to holding down the "Home" button for a second. It'll have a list there of all open windows/apps/whatever.
Cons: Well, that's one less on my list. Though I do miss the days of comfortable one-handed typing on my 6126. The keys are much more firm on the E51 and if I don't use both thumbs I can definitely feel it.

Wonderful Phone
Pros: T9 Dictionary: For once I have a phone with a SMART dictionary. It learns which use I use most, so that I don't have to click "change" all the time. WLAN: I connected to my own WLAN no problem and was able to integrate GMAIL IMAP in just a few minutes. Navigability: I feel like I can get to-and-from where I want to be quickly. And with 10 effective hotkeys in Active Standy Mode I can get to my most common spots/apps easy. Feel: The whole phone just feels nice and solid. I don't feel like I'm holding a toy.
Cons: Camera: Low quality, no flash. But I didn't buy a camera, I bought a smart phone. Case: There doesn't appear to be any 1st party case available. Battery Cover: Fingerprints stick to the cover, but it came with a wipe. My issue is that the cover moves slightly. We're talking about a mm here, though. Navigability: I can get to where I want fairly quick, but there's no option to just switch between open applications/features. If I open one I'm already using it'll take me to exactly where I was, which is nice, but a toggle button would be better: PTT: There's a PTT button on the leftside. It's default setting is the Voice Recorder. You can't program this button, which is disappointing. Voice Recorder is useless to me. Alarm: There's no separate setting for Alarm volume. It's the same as the ring volume, except in Silent mode, in which case it's Ascending.
Other Thoughts: Worth the purchase.
The Nokia PC Suite's media manager isn't too savvy as far as managing music goes, but I'm only using it to add ringtones.
Also, the camera only takes pictures in H*V, even though the screen and phone orientation feel like they should be V*H. But again, it's a phone, not a camera.
I love the phone. My 6126 died and I was left with the Brick of Doom 6010. It's like going from steel swords down to wooden spears and up to laser weapons. Huge difference.

Excellent Low-cost Smartphone
Pros: The E51 is a great for someone with a tight budget but wants/needs a smart phone. Very affordable with many wonderful features - WiFi, Web, Email, etc. Lots of support for the Symbian OS so you can easily find lots of apps/games/downloads and help if needed but it is a rock-solid OS that I haven't had a single problem with so far. Has a nice resolution - crystal clear screen, loud speaker, and sleek look to it. I received many compliments when people around me saw it. :) Call signal and voice top notch and has yet to disappoint me.
If your a business-oriented person, like to be organized, or just need a new phone with bunch of features, the Nokia E51 is the one to get!
Cons: Buttons are not was I expected but they are not bad. Had a little problem detecting the bluetooth with my phone and laptop but it works now. The black version is prone to smudges but Nokia includes a nice little cloth so clean them off.
Other Thoughts: Excellent buy! If your consider buying a phone, this is it! Thank you Newegg!

Nokia E51
Pros: Excellent smart phone, superb build quality. stainless steel looks like it will last forever, very compact, not a head turner but it looks really good, this is not the phone for you if you like to show off, wifi is excellent, call audio quality is superb, plus the ability to use it as a media phone. display is really good. Plays mp3 and the speaker does a really good job. If you need to open documents, word, pdf, powerpoint, a lot of conectivity and very decent media capabilities, you can't beat this phone at this price. Lots of apps for symbian.
Cons: side keys are really really hard to press. phone camera is subpar but this is no N series phone. could use a 3.5mm jack
Other Thoughts: This phone is not sexy but it does a lot, and I mean a lot. could use improvements with a 3.5mm audio jack instead of the 2.5mm. camera could be better but I guess that's why N series is outhere. Newegg has the lowest price for this phone. At this price you wont find a more complete phone anywhere else.

Does what I want, nothing less.
Pros: 1. Aesthetics - Not as mind blowing as an iPhone or G1, but the phone looks very clean on top of being thin. 2. Features - I call people with a prepaid plan and Fring* (which lets me use skype easily), I use the camera for a quick shot here and there (nothing too fancy), and I use Skyfire* for browsing the web. *Things you can easily download for the phone. 3. If you want a low cost phone that will last for quite a while, you can't beat this phone.
Cons: 1. Not an excellent camera (It adjusts to the lighting in the room a tad too much). 2. Setup was a pain, but it always is for me and for what I accomplished, it actually went pretty smoothly. 3. It's a fingerprint magnet, but a quick wipe on your shirt will fix that. 4. No GPS, touchscreen, or qwerty keyboard, which only comes at the price of an E71 (I despise touchscreens long-term anyway).
Other Thoughts: I'm still learning the ins and outs of this thing, so I will probably do another review at the end of a month of ownership. So far, I have pretty much everything the way I want it and I couldn't be happier. If you know what you want to do with a cell phone and it doesn't involve contracts, I would suggest this phone.

Good enough
Pros: SIP, unlocked, WiFi
I can use this phone with asterisk PBX via SIP.
Cons: SIP is understandably problematic at receiving calls with NAT. WiFi + bluetooth usage = charge daily.
Not as durable as I'd like. Keeping phone in pocket resulted in small chip in screen. I must've had my keys in pocket too! Dropping phone from 3' to hard surface resulted in keypad becoming misaligned (had to re-seat casement to fix -- could not press some keys)
Other Thoughts: eh, it's a phone. It was a bit confusing to get SIP/WiFi setup. It doesn't seem as intuitive at picking a data connection as I'd like; I'm constantly changing settings to tell it how to get online as I move across networks.

Pros: does everything it says it will do, THE SIGNAL IS VERY STRONG compared the elder cell that i have samsung SGH-A707, i can use it anywhere in the room unlike before, I love the wifi in it, i can use this cell as a laptop when ever needed.
Cons: its just a little bit longer than usual, but i dont think its a con

Best phone I've owned
Pros: Wi-Fi, Symbian OS, sleek, thin, small, good resolution, feature-full, radio, VoIP. It's easily the best phone I've owned.
Cons: Camera support is minimal (but okay for me), no GPS. No way (without some hacking) to disable the newbie mode that prevents you from installing unsigned applications.
Other Thoughts: I've owned a Windows Mobile 5 phone before, and it constantly crashed, locked up, or otherwise glitched. This Symbian OS phone hasn't had a single problem, has been incredibly responsive, and has all the features I could ever want. Easy to use, easy to customize, and a lot for anybody.

Low-cost mobile alternative
Pros: Wi-fi: Web-browsing, IM, VOIP, and S/MMS all benefit from its WLAN rather than expensive GSM networks and even 3G if the bulk of your monthly minutes are in the same location of your home wifi router. After installing a 3rd party VOIP application (i.e. Fring, simply from the web browser), it works smoothly and clearly for internet calls to my laptop and to other AIM buddies/MMS.
The phone's WLAN-powered, 3rd-party OS applications would cost a lot more per month on an internet browsing/SMS/minute plan with a carrier. A pre-paid card currently gives me the best value for supplemental, (not complementary) minutes in non-wifi zones. I expect my prepaid card to last me several months, together with Skype/etc-out costs, to average $10-$14 a month, since I use less than 300 minutes a month and 80-100 or so when I'm away from home.
The current price of this phone plus its ability to perform most of my mobile needs at a low cost makes it a great value that will save me $250+ per year.
Cons: Buttons seem inadequate in size at times, but I knew that before I bought it. Overall, it only becomes problematic when chatting at length on AIM with people with a more dexterous QWERTY keyboard (informing buddies on your profile that you're using a T9 may make communicating less misinterpretive). The T9 isn't always 3-4x as slower than a Qwerty to type letters- only when you have to wait for the cursor in pushing it again for another letter on the same digit.
Other Thoughts: Setting up WPA/WPA2 encryption was a little confusing, but make sure all settings and configuration screens have this as the default. After it was set up, it always connected on startup.

great business phone!
Pros: includes wi-fi, great keyboard, and bright, easy to read screen in both night and day. The phone is really fast. I've owned a WM6 phone before, and the speed of this nokia just blows the WM6 phone out of the water. Phone is just perfectly shaped: it feels great in the hands. The construction is just amazing. Good battery life too, with 3G turned on.
Cons: lack of a qwerty keyboard, but then, that's why there's the E71. Phone accessories are lacking, especially in the case department. fingerprint magnet
Other Thoughts: This is my first unlocked cell phone, and it is the best i've owned so far. Symbian far outshines WM6, and nokia's quality is second to none. just a great phone overall.

Great Phone, requires Know-how, and ATT 3G DOES work
Pros: The best phone I have ever owned. Has it all, does it all. The E-Series is designed for Business users, so the 2MP camera fits the bill for those users. If one needs more MP or Zoom, then move to the N Series phones. Great battery life -- especially if you disable the 3G radio (handy tip if you are low on battery and no charger nearby for a while). Excellent capability to customize and modify the phone. CORRECTION to an earlier review -- 3G works fine on AT&T, just not everywhere (like NYC) as it only works on the upgraded networks (850 band in Western NY). This fact was not even known by the folks in the NYC Nokia store, as they informed me 3G does not work in the US. Feels more "solidly built" than other phones and I am not fearful of dropping it.
Cons: Power key is really hard to push in, which is intentional on their part - but still a pain. Certainly requires a great deal of knowledge to get the most out of the phone (app installations, customizations, etc.), but this only matters if you want to do advanced stuff. Bluetooth handsfree is less "standards based" and more proprietary, meaning it connects perfectly but things like the phone book are not accessible -- but there are ways around this for some devices too, but ya gotta know how. Takes a little time to boot, but I have little patience in general so this may not be a real Con.
Other Thoughts: Passes "the pocket test", meaning I can have it in my pocket without being uncomfortable.

Too much inside
Pros: Solid, quality design. Black metal has a slight very dark brown tone to it that exudes class. Beautiful to look at (even on standby), pleasure to hold. Keypad solid, attractive, works well. Phone has a strong signal, enough volume, good sound and great battery life – am getting a week between charges w/moderate use. Symbian OS is snappy and powerful – tons of themes and software available, many for free. Wi-fi works surprisingly well, POP email and browser work very, very well. Most web pages render just as they should, Flash, JavaScript and all (only heavy CSS throws it). The e51 is a thin, stylish, capable phone wrapped around a business class, internet capable information/messaging device. Low price seals the deal. . .
Cons: Arrived with keypad improperly installed – had to snap the right side keys into place one-by-one with a push pin. That worked, but it’s still a little crooked. Although slim, the phone’s a little tall, and the steel casing adds weight. The 2” screen is crystal clear, vivid and bright, and just too small. The 2MP camera has no auto-focus and takes grainy, disappointing photos. Video blurs a bit at only 15 fps. Symbian OS has all the flair and entertainment value of Office 2000 - boring basically, but gets the job done. No party phone, the OS is dense, technical and not as fun as the competition. The current e51 is Europe only 3G (850, 2100 mhrz) and is not compatible with ATT 3G (850, 1900) & t-Mobile’s new 3G (1700).
Other Thoughts: This slim phone packs more processing & connective power into a smaller package than anything before it. It’s an awesome achievement, and a stellar performer. Subbing wi-fi for 3G works for me (cheaper too). Thought I was buying a great phone with email and internet as a bonus. Ultimately, the non-phone capabilities of the e51 eclipse its telephony. And for that – smart phone/pda/internet appliance in a slim phone body – the form factor is a bit limiting for me. In order to get the most of Symbian/wi-fi, I need a bigger screen and full qwerty. Couldn’t be happier with my e51, love it actually. . . but have ordered an e71 for these reasons.

Pretty good
Pros: Excellent call quality. Screen is top-notch, easily readable in direct Texas sunlight at noon. Overall construction great. UI extremely fast (faster than iPhone! To be fair, iPhone is running a lot more, though...)
Cons: Keys a tad unresponsive, side buttons (power and volume) very hard to press. On my home network, WiFi was quite laggy and undependable (may just be my settings, though - WPA2-PSK). Could not get it to work with my university's WEP 802.11X wireless network.
Other Thoughts: Overall I am pleased with this phone. Once I got the UI set up the way I wanted it to be, I was extremely happy with its customizability. I don't use many smartphone features, so my main priorities are texting and making phone calls. Phone calls are crystal clear, but sometimes when typing fast the keypad will not pick up every letter. I had a Nokia 6230 back in the day, which IMO is the gold standard for tactile feedback. Other than that, a great phone.

Best Phone Ever
Pros: This is seriously my favorite buy I've made in a number of years. I would have never thought that a phone this size could work so well and have so many features! The Symbian OS works great, Mail for Exchange works just as well as ActiveSync if not better. I can access my phone's Internet using my laptop and it works wonderfully. The Symbian mobile browser is awesome - easy to navigate and actually shows the site as it should be shown (doesn't try to modify the site to fit the small screen).
Seriously - best phone I have ever owned or worked with.
Cons: When people see my phone they don't immediately acknowledge it as a smart phone so my cool image factor decreased. Just kidding.
The side and power buttons are pretty firm and hard to press - but I rarely need to use those so no big deal.
Other Thoughts: For some reason the default Internet settings for T-Mobile were not right when I first setup the phone, but after Google's help I got it set to the right WAP.
Now that Nokia is making Symbian open source - I can't wait so see all the new things that'll come out for this phone.
Newegg rules!!!

Terrible phone
Pros: * You can set the keypad to automatically lock after some period of time, but it wont automatically lock unless you are at the HOME screen. * Can not get WLAN to work. Tried multiple Wifis, at home and free public ones. Simply does not work. * Bluetooth doesnt work. I have a brand new Plantronics 520 earpiece, and I wasted an hour trying to get this phone to connect to it. No dice. * The soft key on the upper right can only be used to access the camera; something I rarely (never) use. Moreover this soft key cannot be remapped to something more useful, like my SMS inbox. * LCD screen is not firmly bonded to the inside of the trim bezel, so pressing the soft keys causes the screen to displace inward, making creaking sounds; This gives rise the phones cheap construction. * For the money I spent, worst phone I've ever had. I had it for two days, then returned it.
Cons: nothing comes to mind.

Great phone
Pros: Has everything I need. Wi-Fi is fast! Use it everyday for e-mail, chat, web browsing. Installed Fring to use for google talk and skype (msn, aim, etc. are also available). Has built-in SIP client for internet calls via Wi-Fi. I setup mine to use with pennytel. Also bought A-DATA 4GB Micro SDHC Class 6 card on newegg - works fine in this phone. Small design, light weight. Lots of additional software available that you can buy and install. Has more functions than iPhone toy. You can even send MMS with E51 :-) UNLOCKED - the biggest + ! Switch and use SIM cards when traveling to Europe without a problem. No need to spend $$$ for roaming charges.
Cons: If you need good quality camera you may look at other phones, or better, at digital cameras. However, this 2.0 megapixel camera is fine for me: basic pictures and video. Can't type too long on this keyboard. If you need qwerty keyboard wait for Nokia E71 to come out.
Other Thoughts: Recommend this phone for people who need to have the job done instead of tapping on the screen. Bought this phone on another website at the end of November, 2007, soon after the phone was released. If newegg had it at that time - would have bought it from them.

so far so good!
Pros: always LOVED nokia phones. simple looking phone, solid build, works great!
Cons: not sure if it's the phone or my home WLAN, but it has connectivity issues.
Other Thoughts: i've had a slew of nokia phones, but this is my first s60 phone. moving from s40 to s60 takes some getting use to, but nokia's learning curve is slightly more user friendly. in other news, i also had an iphone for a while, objectively comparing iphone to e51, the iphone interface and usability is far more superb...its just lacking 3G is all. can't wait for the 2nd gen iPhone!

Amazing Phone!
Pros: What is not to like about this phone? Wifi, 3G, small its just amazing. Not to mention Symbian FP1 is included. This is by far a great improvement over the old E50 that it replaced. The inclustion of Wifi is amazing, i stream internet radio all day at work to it via wifi.
Cons: Does not have a qwerty keyboard, but then again, if i wanted one i would have gotten the E61i.
Other Thoughts: Its great to see that Newegg is offering unlocked phones again, and a lot of Nokia phones at that. Though i did not purchase from Newegg, i would have if i know they offered it wehn i purchased. This seriously is a great phone, the Symbian OS is amazing, lots of apps you cannot go wrong.
