Excellent Game
Pros: Awesome addition to the Paper Mario series, loved the them for years. A must buy after you have played the Nintendo 64 Paper Mario as well as the Game Cube one.
Cons: Are you kidding!?
Other Thoughts: Maybe should have picked up the strategy guide, not as good as the 1st and 2nd Paper Marios...

Pros: This was my first experience with Paper Mario--never played the previous version. It is fun figuring out what you are supposed to do and thinking outside the box. Going from 2D to 3D is neat and switching between characters and pixls is entertaining. Once you get into it, you know where the game is headed before you get there.
Cons: I don't buy video games to read. I got so tired of reading and the not-so-witty banter drove me nuts. I'd say close to 1/3 of the game are just scenes of 2D drawings chatting up the story line. If it weren't for the fact that my 5 1/2 year old son loves to watch me play, I'd have taken it to Game Stop for a trade the day I first popped it in the Wii.

Paper Mario on Wii-flavored steroids
Pros: If you liked Paper Mario on the GameCube, you'll like Super Paper Mario. The new controller introduces some interesting elements to levels & puzzles, but ultimately it's an evolution of the Paper Mario RPG from 'cube with (of course) a new story line.
Cons: If you don't like console RPGs, you might not like SPM. If reading text makes your brain hurt, this might not be the game for you.
Other Thoughts: A predictably "kiddy" RPG from Nintendo, the game does race along at a fast pace if you don't completely explore every level. Finding all the hidden/secret/extra areas can extend the gameplay, as well as make later levels easier (since more experience = higher character levels = easier gameplay).

Pros: I liked paper-mario for Nintendo 64 though this game is so much more. An one that knows about this game knows you can switch between 2D and 3D which opens up the game play a lot. This and the use of the pixis along with the other characters adds to the enjoyment of this game. The puzzels so far have been pretty easy though not too obvious.
Cons: At the rate I am going, I will have finished the game in 24 hours which is too short for me for an adventue game. Also there is a lot of reading with this game, though the story line isnt too bad compared to other paper mario's/
Other Thoughts: The controls for the game are a little fun for left handed people like myself, though if you dont wear the wrist band it works fine. This game is a must for the wii. The ability to switch dimensions is awsome.

Fun!
Pros: I had high expectations of this game and after playing it only a few hours, decided that I really do like it. Overall good story, fun gameplay, graphics are great too. It wasn't designed to be graded against another system. I really like how it brings back some oldschool elements of the original Mario games and also adds some newschool flair. For instance, instead of just dying right away when an enemy hits you, you've got this HP bar. Refill it using various items that you can find or buy from the shop.
Cons: The diologue can get a little long at times. None others that I can see so far. No multiplayer. But, that's to be expected in the Paper Mario series, right?
Other Thoughts: This game will bring lots of hours of fun. Totally worth adding to any Wii collection. BUY IT NOW!

Awesome Mario Game
Pros: This game sort of like the original marios, jump and kill, but this is way funner. There're some puzzling events in the game which may take you a while to figure out and you can flip into 3d.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Big improvement since the n64 Paper Mario

Awesome
Pros: its paper mario on wii, great graphics, smooth gameplay, fun storyline, flipping to 3d is a cool new feature.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: i love all the paper mario games. yes, the story line is a bit cheesy, yes, but its super fun. i am tired of people saying the graphics are bad, they arent meant to be ultra-realistic, its meant to look like a storybook. thats half the fun.

Fantastic game
Pros: Fun gameplay, Wii controls are used (but not to the extent of being annoying), Beautiful visuals, secret parts of levels that keep you coming back to look for them
Cons: There are only 24 hours each day, and I can only spend very few of them playing this game
Other Thoughts: This game is perfect for what it is. I played Paper Mario for the N64, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on GameCube. This game follows the same kind of storyline, but it follows a somewhat different control mechanism. Graphics are NOT all about ultra realism, this game is a very attractive looking game. The control on this game is perfect for what it is, not difficult to pick up and play. This is the fourth Wii game I own, and it was well worth the purchase. Four stars because I recommend waiting for the price to drop, it shouldn't still be its original price when it came out in April.

Not the best Paper Mario
Pros: The new visual aspects are innovative and entertaining. Considering the type of game it is, the graphics are decent.
Cons: The story and game move too slowly. After the first couple levels, the gameplay becomes repetitive and the plot predictable.
Other Thoughts: I loved the predecessors to this game, but this one has been unable to hold my attention well enough to want to keep playing.

Cons: Some parts are a bit too easy

Fairly Impressed
Pros: I think the graphics are pretty good; I can't say they are dated because it has to do with the style. Flipping in and out of 3D makes for great puzzle elements. For those people with EDTVs or HDTVs, make sure your Wii is set to 480P and not 480i. The default setting on the Wiis is 480i. I figured this out after reading the instruction manual. Your games will look twice as good.
Cons: Very long dialog, takes awhile to get a point across. But the visuals can be appreciated during the long redundant babbling. Story made for kids although adults will enjoy the play mechanics.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you Wii is set to 480P (progressive scan) if you own an HDTV or an EDTV. [The extra purchase of component cables is necessary for 480P.] By default the Wii is set to 480i (interlaced) which is not near as nice as the 480P

What a game!
Pros: Loveing the flip feature alot! Also loving the pixls. It can be really exciting at times.
Cons: Dated graphics. KInda poor storyline. I mean, "Count Bleck"?!?!?!?! (:(
Other Thoughts: If you're a paper mario fan, then prepare to be a little disappointed. If this is you're first paper mario game, then you might wanna buy the player's guide.

One of the best games on the Wii
Pros: Fun game. Mixes classic Mario 2D platforming with RPG elements very well.
Cons: A bit too easy.
Other Thoughts: Don't listen to reviews saying it has "outdated graphics". Graphics are not all about ultra-realism. This is a beautiful looking game.

Great game
Pros: This is absolutely fantastic game. The graphics are mediocre, the sound isnt great, and the control can be frustrating. BUT the gameplay and story are top notch.
Cons: Its on the Wii, which admittedly cant push very good graphics by todays standards. the good part is that they werent trying to actually do anything they know couldnt be done. The sound is forgettable. but not bad. and as far as control goes, using the Wii remote sideways can be awkward, but i guess you get used to it.
Other Thoughts: The story and gameplay are captivating from the get go. you will easily pump in 25-35 hours of gameplay, more if you want to get the super awesome hidden stuff.

Cons: dated graphics, really repetitive. not worth it. gets boring fast. no good for old ppr mario fans cuz it's no longer turn based! dissapoinntment
Other Thoughts: its like paying full price for the old mario games with some powerups, w8 untill the price drops alot!

best title out
Pros: the game is consuming, you'll want to see what's in the next world then you'll feel like seeing the world you're in through to the next one.
Cons: dialog is long, game doesn't end after you defeat it. there's still stuff to unlock and explore.
Other Thoughts: I haven't had any nintendo experience since the NES. and had no idea what paper mario was about. Bought the game fro my wife and downloaded the NES super mario bros for the virtual console, and whe plays that more (like 3x in 5 months)

Great game
Pros: Very innovative gameply mechanics. Lots of fun for hardcore gamers or maybe people a little bit newer to the gaming scene. Great art direction.
Cons: Extremely long and mundane dialogue sequences...
Other Thoughts: If you own a Wii you should buy this game.

For paper mario fans, not super mario fans
Pros: The game does some clever things.
Cons: The clever tricks you can do because tedious with the urge to try time all the time. The dialogue is horrible redundant typical "Japaneese Funny" where they take 5 minutes to impart a 10 second idea.
Other Thoughts: If you like previous paper mario games, you might like this. The advertising led me to believe it would have more action in the style of super mario bros, which is just not the case. You may well like the game if what's described sounds fine, and most people seem to like it. This review just attempts to correct expectations.

Fantastic game!
Pros: *Innovative control system. *Amazing 3d/2d visual effects. Gameplay combines of rpg and *platform elements. *Fun and long enough to keep you entertained for hours.
Cons: *Sounds and music not on par with the rest of the game *2D worlds look good, but the 3D parts look dated and lack sharpness. *Well don't expect a very profound storyline in this game.
Other Thoughts: Nintendo really impresses me by being able to keep this franchise alive after all these years, this game should keep you busy until Mario Galaxy arrives.
