Love this remote
Pros: Controls every single one of my devices. Xbox360, Samsung Blu-Ray, Cisco Cable Box, Vizio 55" HDTV, Sony Surround Sound receiver. Ability to learn remotes. Buttons are backlit. Plus the one click Activities button is amazing. Don't know how I ever got by without it.
Cons: Don't like 0-9 buttons too well and try to find a remote specific button means scrolling through the LCD screen until you find it. Plus a little delay between pressing a button and having the action performed on my TV.
Other Thoughts: I bought this over a year ago looking for something to control my Xbox, I didn't like this at first because of the delay between me pressing a button and it actually performing the action on my TV. So it was in a drawer for a long time and soon I accumlated a whole bunch of cool toys and realized I have about six different remotes and I needed every single one of them. After doing some cleaning I found this remote and reluctantly tried it out. Setup took some time but it found all my remotes minus the cable in its database and worked perfectly no delay at all, next I had it learn my cable remote and now it works as well. Finally I set up my Activites button. Now if I want to watch a Blu-Ray I just click "Watch a DVD" and it does the following: Turn on TV, Blu-Ray, Surround Sound next switches TV to HDMI 1 then goes to Video 2 on my surround sound. After that I can stop/play/pause and control the volume to my surround sound without switching between devices, I love this thing!

Awesome Remote
Pros: This remote is great. It does everything you want it to do and controls SO many devices. Once setup, the controller is very easy to use. If any mistakes happen, the on-controller help feature will sort it out very easily. I would recommend this even to people who have only 2 devices to control.
I use this controller with my Sylvania 42" HDTV, Sonly Blu-Ray player, Xbox 360, and Logitech Z-5500 surround sound and it controls it all, very easily.
Cons: The initial setup can take a while, depending on how many devices you have. If you want to customize the buttons used, this will take even longer.

Best Remote Ever....
Pros: Best remote I've ever owned, and I've gone through a lot of universal remotes. Extremely flexible and easy to setup.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: You can also control your PS3 with this remote if you purchase a small component that plugs into one of the front USB slots. Fairly cheap too.

Cannot live without
Pros: So easy I got one for my mom (she is always switching between cable and satellite). A breeze to configure. Supports about every devise I tried to control.
Cons: Cannot control Bose systems since they use radio and not IR. Could use a couple more buttons for paging (as opposed to scrolling) up and down in the guides.

Excellent remote!
Pros: Great remote! Once I got all the model numbers in, it picked everything up just fine. Set up is a breeze, and it steps you though making sure it all works.
Cons: Button response time is a little slow, but considering what it's doing, it's not too bad.
Other Thoughts: I've been wanting to get this for a while, so when I got my new HDTV, I knew the time was right. And it arrived in one day using standard shipping! That's what I call service :)

Easiest remote I have ever programed
Pros: Just got it today and I am in love already.
Took less than 15 minutes to set up for TV, stereo, cable box, Blu-ray and Xbox.
Works fine with all components. I love the fact that I just have to push one button to do something like a watch a DVD.
I was impressed to see that it would even turn off an unused component when you switch to doing something else.
Set up was surprisingly easy.
Cons: It is a bit slow to turn things on, but then again, the original remotes are slow too so it may not all be the remotes fault.
Other Thoughts: Glad I bought it.

I like it when it works properly
Pros: I can control all of my media devices with one remote. Fairly simple to set up with the included software. Good weight, buttons feel good, backlit buttons, works with the 360 quite well, one button press to turn on all of my devices, easily switch between activities.
Cons: Maybe I received a mentally challenged unit but this thing is constantly forgetting its settings. Example: I will be playing the 360 (game or DVD), then I will press the "Activities" button and then "Watch TV", but my 360 won't turn off. I've set it up correctly in the software because it was working just fine yesterday. Sometimes it will forget to turn the tv on. Of course all you have to do is press the "Help" button on the remote and it will go through the motions again, but I'm lazy and would rather press 2 buttons than 6. Sometimes button presses don't register at all or it takes a second or two.
Other Thoughts: It's a decent product that could use some refining. I can deal with unregistered button presses or delays, but the biggest gripe I have with this thing is that it keeps forgetting my "Activities" settings. Other than that I like it.

You can't beat Harmony
Pros: Turns everything on with one button push. Say you're watching TV and you want to play your 360--no problem, you just hit "Activities" then "Play XBOX360" and it turns off your cable box, switches the input on your TV, switches the input on your receiver, turns your 360 on, and BAM you're good to go. The remote is ALWAYS up to date as it uses a web-based code system and syncs via USB with your computer.
It even controls household items that use IR. For instance, I have several tower fans programmed into mine, and it will control everything from lighting systems to receivers from the 80's.
Cons: Some of the exterior finish has started to wear off my remote, but I've had the thing since it launched--which I believe was 3 years ago. It can eat batteries quickly, so I buy Li-Ion AAA's for it and replace them once a year or year and a half.
After 3 years of HEAVY use, the IR signal doesn't appear to be as strong as it used to be, but still controls equipment that had not yet been produced when the remote was made with no trouble.
Other Thoughts: I'd recommend a harmony remote to anyone, and the 360 edition is the BEST of the less expensive models. However, if you're willing to spend some extra cash, you may want to consider one with a charging cradle and RF. With the RF models, you could control just about anything that can be controlled.
Also, you don't need a 360 for this remote to be worth while, the 360 buttons are customizable (every button is). Incidentally, with an IR USB dongle, I use this remote to control a PS3 as well for watching movies.

Pretty good when they worked, but two died on me
Pros: I love the idea of the logitech remotes. Choose by activity is an easy thing for everyone to be able to do. It lets you program nearly everything that you want to program, and most people can figure out how to use it.
Cons: I had two of these die. Just stopped working altogether. The first one I called into logitech and they replaced it. The second one still sits dead at home. Additionally, I had an issue getting this thing to bring up media center on my Xbox. Since it was for the 360, I thought this would have been an easy thing to do, but it wasn't. Also, if your remote wasn't pointing at a device, it wasn't easy for others to fix.
Other Thoughts: It would be good if they implemented a better way to recover from errors. I would buy another one, but I would probably go with one that didn't require line of sight. I usually don't give only 2 stars, but 2 died on me.

Great Remote
Pros: I programmed a cable dvr, xbox 360, lcd television, and a/v receiver in under 15 minutes. Simple install and programming. I was able to set up activities in minutes and remap buttons. One remote to replace all the others is definitely worth it.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Great service Newegg!

Great Remote
Pros: I love the fact that it will work to control my XBox 360. I do not have another DVD player in the room so it made it much easier then having to keep using a controller to watch movies.
Cons: The remote functions a little slower then the original remotes for my TV and Cable box. Once you try to change channels or waht not, it take a moment or two for it to actually change.
Other Thoughts: Overall wonderful product.

Fantastic but... well nothing
Pros: The programming part of this remote was really easy. I gave the software the model numbers of all of my pieces of equipment and didn't have to customize anything. I was really amazed when it had the correct input lists for my tv (which was rather obscure) and stereo.
I changed a few buttons on the remote to do different tasks from default and that was easy too.
Some people have complained that the remote is slow but I don't really have any problems. Worst case scenario for me is when it has to turn on the tv, stereo, xbox, and change the tv's inputs 3 times and the stereo's input once. This takes maybe 3 seconds.
Cons: The software to program the remote requires internet access and the first night I got it apparently part of Logitech's site was down. I had to wait until the next day to use the software.
Other Thoughts: Don't be scared away by the xbox 360 buttons if you don't have one. You can buy the other equivalent controller if you'd like but the buttons can be remapped anyway. If you might get a 360 at some point I'd buy this one.

Fantastic, but SLOW
Pros: Beautiful design. Well built. Setting it up using the Harmony web-app is a piece of cake. Most of the codes worked right out of the box for my home theater. Some codes, like for my Mitsubishi projector, needed to be tweaked a little to make it work correctly.
Cons: This remote would earn a 5 if it wasn't so slow. Programming provided by the Harmony database is almost as fast as the original remote, probably double the delay (which is still in the milliseconds, luckily). However, any IR codes that you have 'taught' the remote are painfully slow. Making up/down/left/right/select/exit movements in my HTPC is noticeably slow, easily 1 or 2 seconds between keypresses.

Just what i needed
Pros: EASY setup - You run a wizard on your computer which then programs your remote via USB cable. FLEXIBLE - it does everything I need/want plus more
Cons: If I had lights to dim via the remote then I could have gone with the upgrade. So far I have found no cons.
Other Thoughts: It has reduced my 4 remotes into 1. Im loving it.

Pros: This remote is very easy to use (technologically-impaired-roommates friendly). Works with virtually any device in your living room. Makes controlling non-gaming features on the 360 much easier and much more intuitive. Would definitely buy again.
Cons: I have an Elite, so the only con I can think of is that it doesn't come in black.
Other Thoughts: Definitely consider this remote if you are looking for a universal remote for your 360 and beyond.

Pros: Excellent controller.
Cons: wish they had xbox 360 functions in the upper models (i.e. 890 Pro or 1000 series remotes)
Other Thoughts: Noticed one of the peeps that reviewed the remote wanted to download the Harmony code base....didn't know if he knew or not, but that data base would take a few terabytes to download and you would have to update it once a week as Harmony does.

Awesome Remote - True All In One
Pros: Everything. It controls everything, my Direct TV PVR, my XBOX 360, DVD/VHS, Surround Sound, everything. Programming was simple, setup is very easy even for someone who isn't technical. I love this remote!
Cons: The batteries don't seem to last as long as I'd expect for using 4 AAA.
Other Thoughts: If you have a remote with a lot of sub-menus, IE a PVR/DVR it will take you a few to figure out where some of the sub feature buttons are, but they all can be found under "Devices", then in the window using the four side buttons.

Does the job
Pros: Works with many devices, specific XBox360 controls, comfortable to hold. "Activities" key works as a Macro to automatically switch inputs, turn on the xbox, or turn off the xbox and turn on the PVR, etc... Excellent price for the features you can program in compared to the more expensive remotes.
Cons: The software that you use to configure the software is probably the biggest drawback. There are a couple things I would like to do, but because of the software, I am being lazy. It's not that it doesn't work, it does, but it's web based. I understand that they want to be up to date, but I'd rather have the option of pulling down the database locally so that it's more responsive. Like I said, it's completely useable, it's just annoying and bad design.
Other Thoughts: Sometimes response from the keys is slow... This seems to apply when you start tapping the volume up or down. Since it lags a bit you sometimes turn it too low or too high.

Excellent Universal Remote
Pros: The auto-updating software can control every electronic device that uses a remote... and then some! It actually will program itself for functionality not on the normal remote of a device (for example exact inputs on a tv). The remote itself has a nice button layout and a solid feel. It doesn't feel flimsy and looks high-quality. It also has a unique 'help' functionality built into its screen that will ask you if it's working as you set it to. If certain devices aren't turning on/off you can tell it so and it'll adjust its programming.
Cons: I have found none.
Other Thoughts: More Logitech software to install but it does auto-update and isn't bloated or required to run all the time. Just connect your remote through USB and it'll open, update itself, and ask what you would like to program. I think this remote is worth every penny.

Great controller
Pros: Lifesaver for complicated A/V systems. Best looking remote I've seen. And what else comes in 360 white?
Cons: This is a little longer than the more compact "kidney bean" shaped Harmony remotes. Makes it awkward to reach the macro buttons at the top.
Other Thoughts: These remotes work best if your TV can switch directly to a particular input. Funny thing is, I didn't think my Sharp could. Until this remote went and did it. It had codes that the stock remote for my TV didn't.

Works great for the 360
Pros: Controls everything with a single button. Buttons are comfortable and not a stretch to reach. One touch everything! Nice easy computer interface. Works great with the Xbox 360
Cons: Remote stopped communicating with the laptop, and my PC. After one hour technical support decided it was defective, and sent me a brand new one (in box) within one week. What surprised me the most was they asked me to discard the old remote.
I plugged in the new remote, and pushed out (updated) the new remote with the old remote's configuration. And we were back in business.
Other Thoughts: I LOVE THIS REMOTE, despite the initial failure, thats no reason to not purchase one.

An Excellent Buy! I own two!
Pros: I would recommend this to anyone who wants a relatively cheap, high quality universal remote. The IR database provided by Logitech is impressive--very extensive. The software is good--a bit too simplified, if anything. There is something to be said about the ease of setup. It is also not too difficult to make more advanced\detailed changes to the way the remote behaves--though it initially irked me that the only way to change individual keys in an "Activity" was through the troubleshooter, this was not a problem once I was more familiar with the software. Also, the keys backlight can be turned on easily by the touch of the "Glow" button, I know it is included more often than not, but it is still a vital feature--imho.
Cons: I have had to disconnect and reconnect the remote on a couple occasions in order for the updates to transfer to the remote correctly. This is fairly minor and may be resolved with software updates. This remote is not as ergonomically appealing as some of Logitech's more expensive models, but this doesn't bother me personally because of the spectacular value--at well under $100.
Other Thoughts: Just using the automatically created setup was okay, but I was not truly happy with the functionallity until I made manual adjustments. The software does a decent job auto-mapping the remote with only a few minor quirks (i.e. my "Back" button for menus for some reason was not mapped though it had the same key name as on my original remote). Also, taking advantage of the customizable soft keys is a must. Only four will show at a time, but you can add several pages--not sure what the actual limit is, but I doubt anyone would want to exceed it as there seems to be ample headroom and these keys are all in addition to the full remote layout. Also, the xbox keys worked out perfectly for some of my other remotes--such as my DirecTV and Cable recievers both have Red, Blue, Yelllow, & Green keys.

Wow
Pros: Easy to set up, cool light, great design, works fantastic
Cons: Don't use another remote besides this one once you set it up or it will confuse itself.
Other Thoughts: This is the best remote I have ever purchased hands down. Works awesome with XBOX 360 and the macro functions are great too. My girlfriend can use it with no problems which is telling that it is easy to use!

just got it for xmas! BUY THIS!
Pros: nothing but pros for this. software is easy to use (although almost 60 megs!), bright lighting, awesome and familiar button layout, usb compatible. does exactly what you think it will do (and everything i'd hoped for)!
Cons: absolutely none, except the cost.
Other Thoughts: this was so easy to set up. it took me no longer than 15 min start to finish. you DL the logitech software, tell the software what you have in your theatre setup (HDTV, receiver, dvd, xbox, etc), and set up activities, and you're rolling. boom. that's it! my girlfriend's not afraid of it, was able to get things moving in no time, and she's already mastered it. totally amazing device, and a must if you own a home theatre with a 360 involved. i even have a DG510 receiver, and had to do the 'trick' where you have to set up as a component device and still get 5.1 optical, and the remote had NO problems figuring it out. as a matter of fact, the first time i booted up the xbox in activities, everything turned on except the xbox. the menu on the remote prompted me to see if everything was on. it wasn't, so i hit 'help'. then, it turned my xbox on, and said 'did this fix the problem?', and i entered 'yes'. now it turns everything on together. it learns, it's intuitive, and i'm glad i own it.

second remote, interesting changes
Pros: excellent remote, works great, set up is a breeze
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: this is my second remote, my first one had some problems - i got it over a year ago. even though i got the same model, there are some interesting redesign choices. the lighting has changed, it's now brighter and more buttons light up. the screen seems different in some way, but i'm not sure what really is different. there is no longer a rubber flap to cover the mini-USB plug, and the "wheel" seems to be constructed better (though it may be the lack of wear) and it doesn't squeak or 'rub' the way my old remote did. this is different from my first remote (from almost 2 years ago), and is even different from my friends remote (he bought a year ago) - some nice, but subtle changes/upgrades

Pros: Controls any device you can think of, glow feature, pre-programmed for Xbox 360, one-button control, button layout is not excessive or confusing.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This remote works like a dream. You set it up with its own software, which is easy as pie to use, and once you get it synchronized with your system, it is the only remote you will ever have to use again. People who say that it doesn't work right or that it tries to turn on devices that are already on etc., just don't know how to use it. You are supposed to use it for everything you do with your entertainment system, and it will always stay in sync. If you turn off the TV manually, for example, how is the remote to know that the TV has already been turned off?

Pros: works great with 360, comfortable to use, very easy to set up, works with everything
Cons: none, not really
Other Thoughts: i've owned this remote for around a year and 7 months. i love it, it's great. it's comfortable, works great with xbox 360, but recently i ran into a big problem and may need to order a new remote. for some reason the "chapter select fwd" button (if thinking about dvds) no longer works. all the other buttons work no problem, but that button has just stopped working. also, with such heavy use there is a lot of wear to the back of the remote, which is not really a problem. the button not working is reason enough to get a new remote, and i think i'll get another of the same because i like the remote so much.

Awsome Remote !
Pros: Great programming interface. Setup was a breeze. Turns on every devise needed for each task with 1 button. Xbox pre-programed.Newegg shipping is the best out there came fast and on time as usual. Never disappointed with Newegg ever. This remote was worth every penny !!
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Read that It had a motion sensor that made the remote light up when picked up? Still havent found that feature. Other than that. Flawless.

No pleasure to use
Pros: Flexible, several features, control software is a good balance of features and ease of use.
Cons: Directional control is sqeaky and doesn't have the smooth feel that the TiVo remote has. Battery life is bellow average (fresh set lasted 2.5 months).
Other Thoughts: I have a TiVo, XBOX 360, a HD TV, and a Digital Cable set top box; I found it necessary to tweak the remote's inter-key delay settings for my TiVo, but the default inter-device settings were fine.

Pros: Took a little over an hour to get everything set up just right. Controls my Mitsubishi projector, Marantz receiver, DirecTV DVR, and of course the xbox. Newegg shipping was great as always.
Cons: none yet.
Other Thoughts: the colored xbox buttons work well with directv, because their remotes have 4 similar colored buttons. weight distribution of the remote feels nice in your hand.

Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Amazing remote. Customizing the setup can take some time to get perfect, but when you do get everything set it works great.

great little gadget
Pros: Having 10 devices on one remote is so much nicer than having 10 remotes. What surprised me was that it had the programing for my dvd and my vcr (which are elchepo walmart store brands). Other than the things i discuss below the remote is a great buy.
Cons: The only major concern i have with it is that it takes a little fiddling with the timing for certain devices and when they can change things, and also that my dvr didn't have a couple of buttons mapped where it was natural (the X button should have been the guide button by default instead of one of the activity buttons up on the top of the remote for example)
Other Thoughts: Just bought a 880 for my parents and if it's just as good as this one then it will save them alot of time and effort on useing their entertainment system

Terrific
Pros: Great PC set-up application. Initial set-up takes 30minutes and minor tweaks (and you will need to do some) take 5-10 minutes. Recognizes all my components and does exactly what I want it to do.
Cons: Sometimes starting or switching an activity can take up to 30 seconds, which is kinda annoying.
Other Thoughts: Buy from Newegg!!! Retail is anywhere from $20-50 higher!

Harmony ROCKS
Pros: Outstanding remote I will definitely by Harmony remotes from now on. At time of purchase the Harmony 360 was cheaper then the 550 so thats what I got. Only difference between the 2 are that there are 2 more buttons. I don't have an xbox so I reprogrammed them for other features. The remote database is absolutely amazing, It recognized my tv/dvr/stereo/laptop what wow'd me is that the database also had my air purifier (Edenpure) and my air conditioner remote. WOW!
Cons: At 1st the setup software on the computer was odd to setup remote but after 20mins I realized how it worked. Amazing software once you get the hang of it.
Other Thoughts: Not sure why they made a xbox 360 remote, the online database has the xbox 360 and any harmony can control the xbox. I won't complain though because its the same as the harmony 550 and I get 2more buttons for Less money.

Cool Remote
Pros: It looks great and has cool buttons that backlight green. Settup is easy and took me less than 20min to program all my devices. It connects to an online database to get the codes for all your electroncics, u just enter the manufacter and model number. and if your device can't be found or u have a custom device that u made and want the remote to control it, u can use the original remote from your device and the logitech will "learn" it using the infra-red reader. I currently control my entertainment system, Air Conditioner, and lights all from my remote. (the ladies love it lol)
Cons: There's a delay when u use "Activities" to start up your system. But it's not that rediculous. The remote can take a long time to sync and update with the software. (5-10 minutes)
Other Thoughts: Cool remote. If i could go back in time, i would get one of there higher end models. I don't really use the xbox features on this remote. seeing that i can program their other remotes for the xbox anyway.

nice attempt
Pros: Its nice to have one remote to work everything(360, dvd, cds, surround sound, hdtv...), and most of the time works as expected. Easy to set up via usb on your pc. Largest collection of IV signals to be used with ANY device!!!
Cons: DO NOT USE A SECOND REMOTE!!! If you manually turn a device on or off, or use a second remote, it will "confuse" the remote. The software written for the remote is horrible(not in design, but features). ALSO, NO RECHARGEABLE BATTS NOR CHARGER!!!
Other Thoughts: overall, good remote. i have one of logitechs higher end remotes for my second house and system, and it works absolutely amazing! id recommend getting the higher end one if your gonna spend this much anyway!

Great Remote
Pros: Highly customizable (every single button can be re-mapped), software recognizes just about every single device out there, has the ability to learn commands. Really did eliminate the need for my other remotes.
Cons: The software takes some time to get used to. The wizard is nice, but does not help you fine-tune your settings.
Other Thoughts: for anyone who is having a laggy response time with this remote... there are 2 settings you need to check... input time and command time. This lets you set how fast a device can switch inputs and the other is how fast a device can respond to commands. I had lag at first, and that solved my problems.

Excellent Remote
Pros: Easy to use, supports almost every device conceivable. Very sleek looking, matches looks with the Xbox 360 perfectly and functions great.
Totally customizable to your needs.
Cons: The initial setup takes a little bit of patience, but once you fine tune it to your needs, you're golden.
Other Thoughts: This a great remote. This is my second Logitech Harmony remote (i use a 688 in my other room) and use this one with my Xbox 360 and it also controls my DVR from my cable company, my TV and my A/V receiver, all seamlessly. No problems what-so-ever.

Pretty nice
Pros: It controls every single device that is part of my home theater. Reduces the use of my 5 remotes into one. The activity button is really useful. With one button, you can turn on several devices and it'll choose the correct input on your TV, also on your receiver. Works great with Xbox 360 as well, which I bought it for, but mainly use it for viewing TV.
Cons: Setting up is a bit of a pain. The software is buggy and slow, but with a little patience you will get it going in no time. Buttons are kind of small, so it's easy to press the wrong button sometimes. The glow light randomly turns on from time to time.
Other Thoughts: Great purchase, and other than the cons I don't have anything bad to say.

Great entry level remote
Pros: Fully customizable. Recognized hundreds of models. Computer programmable. The Logitech remotes are the only remote to buy. PERIOD. This is a great entry level universal remote, but only if you own a Xbox 360 (otherwise get the 550). 1 touch turn on is amazing and a brilliant idea.
Cons: The software bundle is slow, has a few glitches and bugs, but nothing that ruins the remote's use. The buttons are little loud and feel a little fragile, but after a year of pounding on it, it has held up nicely. I've thrown it, dropped it, chewed it (i nibble), and spilled on it. Still working perfectly.
Other Thoughts: The Delay issue seems to bother many people, but there is a DELAY adjustment in the software OS. You can reduce or increase the delay at your leisure. Again, this is great for us 360 owners, but if you have a complex ETC step up to one of the higher end models: 550 or 880

Best Remote for 360
Pros: This remote is awesome. It controls everything in my home theater including my Sirius satelite radio receiver. Best $xxx bucks I have ever spent.
Cons: None...
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the more expensive Logitech remotes, but this one is worth the money.

very impressive
Pros: controlls all my devices. Fully programable. looks good.
Cons: Has some problems with my tv and selecting the right input. I have it programed to change it to input 3 but it always goes to input 2.
Other Thoughts: Any delays in the software or in the autostart mentioned by other people are minimal.

Great
Pros: Set up takes about 30 mins, if you already know your model #'s. tons of options and easy to use software. The remote is very lightweight and thin. software in the remote is very helpful if somethingdoesnt work right.
Cons: as some of the other people have said there is a slight delay when using it on anything that involves changing volume or up and down, but it really isnt a big deal.
Other Thoughts: simplified my whole setup, before i had 5 remotes now only one.

A great addition to an AV system
Pros: Really simplifies general use of a complex AV system. The more components you have, the more it makes sense to use a Harmony. Amazingly, the Harmony allows you to do things you didn't believe were possible - literally. It has codes for signals that my Sony XBR's remote did not have - specifically, setting the input directly, rather than flipping through all 9 inputs. Amazing! This meant I didn't need to use my AV system to do the switching anymore, and could use any cables I wanted to go direct to the TV, such as VGA for Xbox, HDMI for DVD, coax for my over-the-air antenna, etc.
Cons: Don't expect this remote to do everything - when actually setting up your TV or AV system, use the remotes that came with the components. I have an Xbox360, so the extra buttons are very useful, although I might otherwise go for the more subtly styled 500-series. And I wouldn't bother with a Harmony if all you have is a DVD and TV. Also, it can't do RF signals for satellite boxes in other rooms. One last thing - the buttons are a little stiff, and the volume buttons in particular should be larger and easier to press, since they are used so much. The styling is a little too sleek, in this regard.
Other Thoughts: A Harmony is great for general use, and greatly simplifies use by those who are unfamiliar with your system.

Did not "Harmonize" my Experience
Pros: Huge Database of products. Pre Programing to turn all equipment on with one button per activity, ie DVD Movies, Playing Games, Listen to radio...etc. Fit my hand well. Compatible with Xbox 360.
Cons: Very slow response time. LCD screen way to small for to scroll through to find the features you want to use. Expect to sit for a while to change any settings. Even volume and channel changing was too slow.
Other Thoughts: Will have to look for another option for a Universal remote.

Logitech Remote for 360
Pros: Very flexible programming once you understand how to use the website to program it. It has always had any device I wanted available. Usually takes about 2 weeks for bleeding edge devices to get codes added. I have had an 880 for over a year and am happy so I bought this a gift for friend since he wanted the 360 version. The 360 buttons work well with media center.
Cons: Price could be a little cheaper given the advanced features of the 880 and 890 nowadays.

Great Remote
Pros: Works with just about everything. Easy to set-up. Pretty good button layout. Good backlight. Excellent integration with the Xbox
Cons: Slightly small buttons. Slightly complex extra set-up. No user manual in the box.
Other Thoughts: Installed the software, and it took maybe thirty minutes to set up the initial activities and devices. Once that was done, tested it out. Then went back into the software and tweaked the settings, button assignments, and activity labels. It was all very easy, but I could see how some may have some issues with it. Not having a users manual is bothersome. The buttons are slightly small, but not too bad. Overall, It is an excellent remote and I recommend it to anyone interested in only using 1 remote from now on!

Very cool@!!
Pros: You can program anything with an IR port. Feels nice in your hand Has almost every button you could want.
Cons: Sometimes is kinda slow when sending signals.. Say if you want to turn the volume up 3 notches, it beams the signals kinda slow but it's not so bad
Other Thoughts: I don't know what everyone else is talking about... but the interface to program the remote is just great. YES you need a high speed internet connection.

Beautiful
Pros: Database is constantly updated so that you hav ethe latest remote codes, programming (basic) is very simple. Extremely customizable.
Cons: Can be frustrating if you have never worked with a PC Programmable remote.
Other Thoughts: I work at a Home Theater company, so I'm used to dealing with much more in depth programming, but this device allows all the customizations my larger, more expensive devices do. You CAN program the order that things work, it is in an Advanced options menu. Although the remote works out of the box (and after a quick program) you may find yourself tweaking it for weeks to get everything exactly how you want it. I picked mine up almost a full year ago now, and I have finally gotten it perfect... Now to add the Toshiba HD-DVD player into it...

TIVO LIKE REVOLUTION FOR YOUR REMOTES
Pros: It handles most tasks of turning everything on and switched to the right inputs EASILY. Knows when things are on or off so it doesn't turn them to the wrong state when required. Good troubleshooting from the screen menu.
Cons: rubber buttons are bad; they always wear out... not enough tactile buttons. Software for programming the unit was done on MARS! Talk about SLOW and BAD. You need a PHD to deal with it-I almost fell asleep programming my unit. Slow downloads of your changes to remote.
Other Thoughts: Wish I had this sooner.

Remote is an expensive pain in the neck
Pros: Recognizes any device you can think of.
Cons: The software for programming the remote is unintuitive and hard to use. You can't change some things about the remote programming that you should be able to change; so it does things in the wrong order or in a stupid, slow way. If I was watching a DVD last time and now I want to watch satellite, it takes more than 30 seconds for the remote to set everything up (it could take 5 if the remote would let me change the order of some steps). The worst part, though, is the unbelievably laggy, slow response of the buttons.
Other Thoughts: The remote seems great in theory, but in practice it's an intense disappointment. I've given it about a month of trying to get used to it, since it cost me $xx, but I'm about to give up and go back to my collection of separate remotes. This remote doesn't save any time for me, and it doesn't even save time for people who don't know my jumble of remotes, because its programming screws up so often that I have to manually set everything up anyway.

Great remote, but not without its flaws.
Pros: Every button completely programmable. LCD is clear and easy to read. Comes with everything needed to get up and running within a few minutes. All that is needed for remote codes is the model number. Really neat green glow on every button. Easily replaces every other remote ever used. Can be programmed using existing remotes (handy for older not so well known devices).
Cons: Software is a little buggy and hard to navigate. Takes time to get everything tweaked just right. Somewhat slow response time, even with custom timings. One particular thing that bugs me to no end, you cannot set the order of devices.
Other Thoughts: The remote is really great for those who like to tinker and customize, and it works very well most of the time. However, at times the remote will have some problems turning everything on at once. Overall, well worth the money, but Logitech should really focus on upgrading the programming software to a more user friendly setup. As is, you have to navigate through mutliple pages, forward and back, to get through all of the lists.

AWESOME remote!!
Pros: i am LOVING this remote. after the initial setup, you can go back in and tweak all the devices to your liking. the 360 version i believe offers more buttons than 550. glow in the dark is great. using activities is really nice. a single off button!
Cons: button layout is not optimal, you have to move your hand around alot and sometimes use two hands. but it is worth it to not have to resort to a second/third/fourth remote every so often. also, the remote's profile is stored on logitech's servers, not on your local computer. makes 'what if' tweaks difficult.
Other Thoughts: like i said, go through the inital setup and don't worry about not having many opitons. once this is done, then you can go back in a tweak till your heart is content. the included software is 'slow' b/c it has to communicate with the logitech servers on every page. it comes with 4 AAA batters in the remote and also 4 fresh extra ones.

Excellent Cusomizability
Pros: Easy layout, cheaper than 550 for virtually same functionality, came with 8 batteries, 360 profile easily removed (since I don't have a 360), awesome "Help" menu that troubleshoots (Mom Friendly), very tweakable customization.
Cons: Web interface not perfect (not as fast as I'd like), otherwise none.
Other Thoughts: I loved that I was able to remove the XBox 360 specific stuff. I bought this because it was cheaper than the 550, looked good, and had the yellow, red, blue, and green buttons for my DirecTV. Takes a bunch of tweaking to get it just like you want, but once it's set you're set for good. Had to "learn" a few buttons, but then my devices are fairly new :-)

Another Kickazz product...
Pros: This remote is essestial for anyone who has a home theater system with multiple remotes. After initial setup, the remote is simple to use and you can store away the OEM remotes. So simple my 4 y/o can use.
Cons: Nothing worthy of mention
Other Thoughts: Not only is the product great, but Newegg kicksass as well. I rec'd the item very quickly.

work WITH the remote
Pros: good construction, can be made to function with anything that uses an IR remote, very customizable, sleek & nice looking, very bright backlight, lots of buttons that the setup tends to map out very well for each device, easy to use once you stop "fighting it"
Cons: Web setup can be intimidating and unintuitive at first (based on constant download of small files, and you're at the mercy of your internet connection), the use of the remote is much different from what one is likely used to.
Other Thoughts: I tried for a while to use the remote like my old universals, where you would tap the device you wanted, then the function, lather, rinse, repeat. it simply does not work that way with the harmony. basically for whatever you want to do, you need to hit the "activities" button, and choose that activity (which you define in the lengthy but thorough online setup). the peripherals are then turned on (it remembers if something is already on, however, like if you were watching TV and now want to play a dvd it will leave the TV on), and the buttons are mapped to use the appropriate functions. It's really a great system, and once you spend some time with it you'll learn to really appreciate its simplicity.

Harmonious
Pros: Easily integrates all of you components. Learning, smart, programable, backlit buttons, active buttons. Saves so much time looks for, and switching between remotes. (just don't misplace this one) The remote is thin, well laid-out, comfortable, and light.
Cons: Since this is being marketed as the "360" harmony remote you would expect it to work quickly, and efficiently with media center, and in the dashboard, but it's a little slow. Sony's media center remote that came with my pc works so much better with media center. You have to push down hard on most buttons.
Other Thoughts: While it definitely has it's faults, it's easily worth the $100 or so it'll cost you. I'll never go back to remote switching again.

best remote, better price
Pros: Best remote for the price. $30 cheaper than retail stores + $30 rebate, + sell remote that came with xbox $10. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE. Layout of buttons better that previous models.
Cons: Have not found commands for trigger buttons (very valuble for paging up and down through MP3's & visualizations) contacted harmony to see if will be updated. These functions can not be "learned" by the remote. bc controller does not use IR. Contacted harmony to see if will be updated.
Other Thoughts: This is my second harmony remote purchased through newegg. New egg is the best as always. People who say remote gets confused are right however... i have managed to tweak the settings so it is not a problem. (adjusting timing and input commands) be patient you wont regret the purchase.

Totally amazing
Pros: Everything you need in one remote. Stylish, easy to use, one button functions just about everything you need. Wonderful!!!
Cons: Wished it had a recharging station.
Other Thoughts: I love the product. I love that it works with the xbox 360, wonderful technology. Sleek design, I love this remote, and will not miss my old one at all.

Logitech Harmony (xbox 360) Remote
Pros: "Glow" effect to light up the remote for better viewing. Customizable "one-button" press to turn on t.v., 360, stero, all at once (just to name a few) at once.
Cons: Very slow response time sending signals. Software based remote, which allows for the remote to become confused very easily. Improper layout of buttons. PC software needs major update.
Other Thoughts: I have spent hours tweaking and fine tuning this remote and it still does not meet expectations. Horrible software setup (connects to PC through USB). Had to "teach" remote to use the #8 button. VERY slow signal time. Do NOT use any other remotes (even xbox 360 controller) with this, otherwise it will become very confused! (will try turning off a t.v. thats already off, ect., ect.) On a lighter note, as always, Newegg.com ROCKS!

Pros: This is very well thought out remote. The setup is simple, but very thorough. It is the first universal remote that I can use exclusively. You have the ability to change every button and the LCD extends the functionality.
Cons: You cannot program multiple steps into one button (macros). But in the initial setup of an activity you can add all of the necessary actions.
Other Thoughts: Very nice, even better with the rebate (but xbox 360 & remote). Which is attached to the package and is good through 3/31/06.

Very Nice!
Pros: The controller is very slick... fits right in your hands and the pre-programmed functions like play xbox 360 and watch TV are great. It's really as good as it can be I think.
Cons: Only downside is if you don't stick to doing EVERYTHING with the remote you can confuse it. i.e. if you accedentally turn your xbox 360 on with your game controller and then you push "play xbox 360" on the harmony remote it will turn the TV on and all that but shut off your 360.... not much can be done to improve this though.
Other Thoughts: All around a VERY nice remote. Cheapest BY FAR through newegg and as always newegg delivers in no time flat!!

Works Perfect
Pros: This is the only remote you will need for all of your A/V toys. Simple to program. Buttons glow lime green so its very easy to see at night. If it doesnt work it will even learn commands. Even worked with my ceiling fans controls LOL!
Cons: Sometimes in the middle of the night the remote lights up like someones touching it. Or maybe im seeing things who knows.
Other Thoughts: If this remote doesnt work correctly dont get upset that you may have to call the support line because they are very good and no long waiting times to talk to someone. I had trouble with another Harmony remote and had to call but it was very painless.
