Pros: Very long, and very cheap for the price. These were so cheap, i got 2. Im usingthem to hook my 360 up to my 24" 1080P Visio. granted its a small screen, the picture is amazing, and the sound is great too.

Pros: Works just like an HDMI cable should for what I've used it for. Got a great deal from Newegg Mall.

Cons: Just 6', but not actually a con since that is its specification. If you need a longer HDMI cable, then buy a longer one.

Other Thoughts: It would have cost me triple what I payed for it from Newegg Mall as it would any local retailer. HINT: you don't need to buy every electronic device you can from Wal*Mart if it's available there. Just watch for a deal and it'll be cheaper than local, thanks to free shipping.

Pros: I really like this cable. It's inexpensive, but by no means poor quality. The cable itself is encased in a braided nylon sleeve. The connectors seem to be sturdy, and the video quality is excellent.

Cons: The cable is somewhat stiff, and likes to return to the coiled form that it had in its packaging. However, if you're only going a short distance, this could be a good thing.

Pros: Great price! WORKS. That's how it works with these cables. Either they work or they don't. There's no in between with digital.

Cons: Monster cables cost too much for the same quality stuff.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy Monster products.

Look, some cables won't work right off the bat, same will go with monster. Would you rather lose 10 bucks or 80 on a cable?

Rating + 1 Broke after one disconnect.


Pros: Gave a good picture. Used it a little under a year and you will have no problems unless you never unplug it.

Cons: It broke at the end of my TV after I accidently disconnected it. The HDMI peace was still stuck in the TV port. I am glad it did my break the port on this cheap cable.

Other Thoughts: I could not believe this thing broke after only disconnecting it once. I disconnected it to move my Dish Network receiver in my closet and it broke. Cheap junk. I had to use my HDMI cable from my DVD player which I ordered somewhere else much cheaper and is well constructed. I also ordered my replacement cable from them too.

Pros: It's an HDMI 1.3 rated cable that can transmit bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. What more can you ask for?

It's also wrapped in a mesh layer for protection. Some complain it's too stiff, but it didn't bother me. If you round a lot of corners, it might be a bit difficult.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Don't be fooled by those $100 3 foot HDMI cables. All digital cables transmit the same, including this one. Save your money and buy something worthwhile instead of expensive digital cables.

Pros: Long enough for all my needs with my home theater system. Great picture quality with my PS3. Seems well-shielded, not that that matters with digital.

Cons: Hard to manage... it's very thick and doesn't like to stay where I want it to. I would recommend using cable ties to keep this baby in place.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money with Monster Cable when it comes to digital. Only worth it for analog signals!

Pros: Cable is well constructed and has a good signal. I used it between our DVD player and HD/LCD TV. I have looked for HDMI cables locally but brick and mortar stores can not touch Newegg's price on HDMI Cables.

Cons: Cable is a little stiff, but now problem. You can not make sharpe turns.

Sturdy construction
Contrary to some reviews, I inserted and removed from my TV/satellite box numerous times without issue.

Cons: It's almost $20.....
Cables are not extremely flexible, but they are not super stiff either. I would not recommend them if you are trying to route them in and around tight spots. If you have plenty of space behind your TV to work with, these will work just fine.

Other Thoughts: I was a little concerned after reading that some folks had problems with the ends coming off their cables. My best guess is that they attempted to plug the cable in and bend it to a tight angle behind the television resulting in too much stress on the ends of the cable and failure of the ends.

These cables are middle of the road as far as price and they look and feel very high quality. I was worried about getting $5 cables because they are either too flimsy or are not HDMI version 1.3.

I was watching direct TV using Component cables and when I switched to these HDMI there was no noticeable difference. Maybe I will notice more of a difference when I get a blu-ray player?

All in all, I would recommend these cables to anyone, they are high quality at a fair price.

Pros: Easy arrival and quick shipping. No loose fitting and works like a charm! I never knew TV could look this way.

Cons: none - Worth every penny and then some.

The only difference is that Monster has such a great marketing team they make you feel as if they have the more superior product. Pros: cheaper than monster cables.

Cons: cable is too stiff and does not corner as well as other cables. Rosewill makes great cables also. Lags when connected to a ps3.

Other Thoughts: Cables unlimited denied the mail-in rebate, never got the full explanation from them and did not want to wait on hold forever for a dumb excuse. I would go with rosewill over cables unlimited; not because of the rebate issue. I bought a rosewill hdmi and a C.U. hdmi, both produce a clear picture but the C.U. is too stiff to bend around certain areas...actually all areas i need it to fit in. C.U. hdmi also came with cheap "shielding" around it. Looks very amatuer and childlike also.

Pros: This cable made a HUGE difference on my PS3. If you own a PS3, go with HDMI. ...and you might as well get this one while your here. It will save you the drive to the local electronic store and giving them your right arm for one of their over priced cables, and having to drive home with only one arm. Then having to hook up the cable with one arm to your TV and realizing you have 15 feet of extra cable you have to tuck under something to hide. Why not save yourself all that headache. Buy this cable. It works better!

Pros: Newegg rocks.
Cable worked great while it lasted.
Price.

Cons: Cable broke after 4 months of use.
(the connector slowly came apart after removing the cable a few times is my assumption. The last removal snapped the end off busting one of the delicate pins. Be careful when removing cable!)

I inspected the cable and found the only thing protecting the pins is a piece of rubber, thin gold cap and 2 teeny weeny plates that attach to the main plastic, those plates slid out over time.

Other Thoughts: This is a past reviewer similar to mine...
Pros: Picture is fine while using these. Cable itself (not counting end pieces), is probably fine.

Cons: Cheap construction. End fell apart while pulling out of a dvi to hdmi adapter, which, admittedly, was a tight fit.

Other Thoughts: If you use these, be careful when removing. If it seems like a tight fit, be VERY careful when removing.

Pros: Cheap if you get one that works. Lifetime warranty.

Cons: Out of the box I hooked up my cable box to my tv, got picture, but no sound. I messed with my settings on the TV and cable box and figured out that everything was set up right. So, I wiggled the wire, the picture went out and then came back with sound! Sweet! No, not sweet. The slightest bump or movement and the picture or sound goes out. So, I thought to myself, it must be the connector on the cable box or the TV. So I used another cable box, same problem, used my girlfriend's laptop with an HDMI output, same problems. I tested both ends of the wire (ie. turned the wire around with every test) every time. What a piece of garbage.

Other Thoughts: I waited 2 weeks to redeem my mail-in-rebate, and the form changed online so I couldn't get my rebate. Luckily I got a 10 dollar coupon from newegg, so the cable only cost me like 7 bucks (yeah free shipping). I actually would have gained a penny if I had gotten the mail in rebate. I'm going to attempt go make use of my warranty and get a wire that works. I'll be sure to post if I run into problems with that process.

Rating + 1 Faulty Cable


Pros: A well priced cable. It also looked well made and felt high quality.

Cons: It was defective upon arrival. I took it out of the box and plugged it in. However it would only send a signal if it was properly alligned. I had to glenty push down on the top of one of the conectors to get it to send a signal. Which was basically useless then.

Other Thoughts: I phoned Newegg.ca and was ready to send it back and hoping I didn't have to pay a lot for shipping. However, the customer service rep just credited my Paypal account for the full refund and told me to just keep the cable! If I could, I'd rate it 5/5 for just Newegg being so great :)

Pros: HDMI 1.3. Very nice cable wrap, it doesn't really need it but it would probably help from getting cut on sharp corners as it feels very slick.

Pros: Cable is thick but still flexible, appears to be well-protected and does not feel cheap, despite it's cost. I have not noticed any artifacts or interference even with the cable running over a couple power strips and a ton of other cables.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: For some reason PS3's only come with RCA cables, which makes it look like pure garbage on a 42" 720p LCD. Now using this HDMI cable, the difference is as I expected and could describe as "unbelievable".

Pros: Price and Newegg's speed of shipping

Cons: The picture looked great until about 30-45 minutes into any DVD. Then the popping and cracking started, along with complete static fuzz on screen for about 2 seconds. After about 10 minutes of this it would stop and all was well. I got new cables and problem was gone. Not the player.

Pros: Quality cable for cheap price

Other Thoughts: Don't listen to the reviewers saying there is a difference in quality between a $100 monster and this - I'd like to know where he got his EE degree from. The fact is, HDMI is digital, meaning you either get the feed or you don’t. High prices and gimmicks like gold-plating don’t affect 1s and 0s. They used to pull the same gimmicks with optical cables- what good are gold plated connectors and shielding to a string of glass that passes light? Now, analog cables are a different story, but that's a different discussion.
High priced cables have always been the bread and butter of brick and mortar stores.
Bottom line - when it comes to digital, look for a the most well constructed cable you can get for the lowest price. If the signal gets through, it will look the same no matter how much it costs.

I have purchased TV's, Computers, Laptops and other things from Newegg and have been happy all the time. Again no sales taxes in my state and again I love the 12 month no payment or interest financing which Newegg offers. I use it all the time!
Using on my Samsung DVD and LCD which I have purchased from Newegg in the past.
Quality seems good as far as the connection goes. Hard to believe that BB wanted 40 plus dollars for a product that does the same thing.

Cons: Cable does seem to be difficult to move around. If it was more flexible it would be nice. This comment has been posted and I will verify it to be true. I have had no problem with performance or connection as may have been reported in previous post and comments.
Everything connected properly and I have disconnected with no problems.

Pros: Great picture quality over digital; XBox 360, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray. Fantastic price and the cable is well protected because of its sleeve.

This thing has lasted me over a year with no problems.

Cons: Cables are fairly stiff right out of the "box" which could cause some small issues. They do loosen up a bit though, and actually helps to roll it up and bring it along to LAN, etc.

Other Thoughts: For the LAST time, cables DONT cause ghosting or lag; MUST work on one system if it works on another; and the ONLY difference between this and a $1xx Monster Cable is the amount of shielding. So a hint: Don't put your cable next to a powerbox, microwave, or a nuclear power plant and you'll be fine

Pros: It works.
Price.

Cons: You can tell the difference between this and a Monster Cable, I don't care what anyone tells you. It is not horrible, but reduced picture quality for sure.

Other Thoughts: Being an electrical Engineer I know that shielding on the cable and materials is extremely important for quality of picture, but I decided to risk it because of the good reviews and since it was real cheap. All in all it was worth the 17 dollar risk or whatever it was. I have confirmed what I knew already, that you get what you pay for. I tried this out on three different sources for HD, my 360, PS3 and digital cable, switching between it and my 90 dollar monster cable, and in all cases it was a very noticeable difference.

Pros: Nice construction. Looks durable. Performs as good as HDMI cables costing at least 6 times. Flawless resolution of HD video and audio.

Cons: Nothing except for the mail-in-rebate.

Other Thoughts: Excellent shipping by NewEgg. Received item in just one day.
Considering past reviews about damage on their cable because it's thick and heavy, I provided some support to reduce weight-generated stress on cable end connected to HDMI of TV.

Pros: I had bought a so-so hdmi cable about a year ago and it worked on my new BluRay player but I had ordered this cable because it was a 1.3. I hooke4d up my player with the old hdmi and played a bluray disc and a regular old dvd and then installed the new 1.3 cable and it made a real diff. in picture and in sound, Very Satisfied!

Pros: Cables are well constructed, and work well w/ my 40" Samsung LCD and Samsung Blu-Ray player. Ordered on Monday, Newegg shipped on Monday, and I received on Wednesday, with free 3 day shipping! Newegg is awesome!!!

Pros: This cable is the real deal. Running my Samsung HT-Z510 HTIB to a Samsung LN52A650 120Hz LCD TV and the quality is incredible! No monster pricetag (er, cable) for me.

Pros: Cheap, good materials

Cons: Too sturdy and inflexible, it's very difficult to connect both ends without having to make a huge loop because of how sturdy and inflexible it is, I think it just damaged either my TV or my receiver components because the signal brakes if I touch the cable, I recommend you to buy more flexible cables than this one even if it's more expensive, at the end you could damage your components or spend more by having to buy more, just like I'm about to.

Pros: Hard to list any, it never saw use. I plugged it in and then had to rerout my cable and when I un plugged it the gold outer portion stayed behind in the TV.

Cons: Complete junk in my opinion, I am fastidiously careful with my electronic equipment, This thing couldn't even stand up to one removal after it had been plugged in.

Rating + 3 Why Newegg is the best


Pros: I purchased two of these cords for my new HD tv setup with a PS3 and DVR box. Don't buy the super expensive cords, they aren't worth it.

When adjusting my set one day, one of the cords snagged on something and the end broke, the metal cap ripped away from the multiple gold wires. I was actually happy the cord ripped off and not the connection on my TV.

I contacted Newegg, and even though my 30 days had passed, they replaced the cord for me free of charge! This is why you should buy from Newegg. They really do care about their customers.

Cons: This cord works fine if you are careful with it. The outer covering is a rough texture and can snag on the back of an entertainment center, its what happened to me.

Other Thoughts: No reason to ever pay more than $20 for any cable. Don't listen to what those people at Monster might say.

Pros: Like others have said, the cables seem to be built very well. They have a nice braided jacket to help protect the cables. The picture quality looks great and the sound is just as good.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The package looks like a blister pack, but it is actually only tacked in at a few spots so it is really easy to open. You won't need the industrial grade scissors, the buck knife, or the box opener. :)
