lasted 6 months
Pros: Cheap price for the specs relative to other units
Cons: Power supply crapped out after 6 months, Acer not particularly helpful on their warranty (you pay to ship for them to evaluate whether to cover warranty, no guarantee you'll get your information back from your hard drive although you aren't supposed to open the case to get it out and back it up).

Great Little Machine for the money!
Pros: It's a great machine for the money. Acer's typically are. Love the small footprint.
Cons: None really
Other Thoughts: Installing XP is not a trivial matter if you aren't familiar with installing oem drivers without a floppy drive. There are several ways to do it and I had very little trouble installing XP on this machine. I used the nLite utility to embed the SATA Raid drivers in the installation media. This is an awesome utility that only requires a burner to use. The nvidia drivers on the acer site did not work for me, but I installed the driver from the nvidia site and it worked fine.

Love it! Best in it's class!
Pros: I needed power in a small package. I needed a versatile PC that had a 64-bit processor, good clock speed, and SMALL. I dug up ALL the small desktops I could find on newegg, and even thought about building a small PC.
This is the winner hands down. Even if I would to build the same PC from scratch, it would cost the same, and I would have trouble finding a case this small. This way, I get it all assembled and it has a warranty (which I will probably VOID at some point) :)
It has handled everything I can throw at it so far, Virtual Machines, Audio Production, Video Editing. So far, so good!
Thanks again NewEgg! Your the best!
Cons: Only 2 memory slots, but I knew that when I bought it, so it's not really a con.
Other Thoughts: Don't think, if you need it, just get it!

Great Value
Pros: Solid processor, decent amount of Ram and 2x 320GB HDDs. The G100 graphics don't suck either... it runs WoW as reasonable settings/resolution(and HDMI out). Its tiny, and quiet if you like that kind of thing. Included OS is 64-bit (as they all should be by now) Easier and almost as cheap as building my own.
Cons: Tiny so not able to upgrade/add-in anything internally. (no PCI-E slots open anyway) The mouse that came with mine didn't work, but it was such a good deal anyway I laughed as I tossed the mouse in the trash.
Other Thoughts: Excellent value for a pre-built box. I'm used to seeing vendors like Dell, HP and the rest marketing computers with the cheapest low-grade components around in order to keep overhead low, etc.. but this is actually a decent little box for lightweight apps/games. (and, no, it won't run Crysis, but what do you expect? Also, COD WaW is pretty painful to play on this, but it technically will run it )

No XP (or service after the sale)
Pros: Cheap, works stock.
Cons: Is specifically designed to NOT work with XP
Other Thoughts: Vista is a terrible OS, I just want to get XP on to it. I don't care about the new features, I just want XP. To my dismay it crashes every time I try to install it from my CD. I spent half an hour with tech to finally be told THE HARDWARE IS INCOMPATIBLE. Yes folks, the hardware does NOT work with XP. You are stranded with Vista of Windows 7 (when it comes out) since they don't want toy using XP. Support later told me (after lots of fighting with them) that there is a way, but I have to pay SIXTY DOLLARS for one half hour for them to help me, even then there is no gaurentee. Being that the only thing Acer did well for me was recieve my money, I am distrustful of these scammers.
I didin't build this machine myself because I did not have the time. This is a harsh ($500) reminder on why I stay away from computer vendors and just assemble rigs myself. This is my first and last purchase with Acer, they are worse than Dell. I'll see what parts I can salvage for my custom build.

Not that great
Pros: Small and has power, room to grow in to! Large hard drive and looks great!
Cons: Poor tech support! Vista only can't dual boot with XP and Vista! No room for upgrading Small compact with no PCI or PCI-E slots open! Poor cooling for vid card!!!!
Other Thoughts: Poor tech support! out of country support cant understand most of the time what they say makeing a simple call last long times! Mine is 2 months old and in the last month sent it in to get fixed 2 times! First time they put in the wrong video card and they never even put in the driver for the card , they said tested and works on the repair report! So had to send it back a second time! Got it back 2nd time and hard drive not even formatted!

Perfect for my HTPC
Pros: Sleek, powerful, almost silent. Has the appropriate linkage (HDMI, Optical Audio, esta) to work perfectly as a HTPC. I had shopped around pricing individual parts and for the time and bang for your buck this computer is great! I am running MediaPortal and it records and displays HD TV content as well as local media without a hiccup. Works well upright or on it's side for a low-profile.
Cons: No TV tuner card(s), but this leaves you able to select which card/cards you install. Warranty sticker is over the side of case so if you go for an internal card it appears you will void your warranty. Video Card lock in riser is really close to HDMI out so if you have a HDMI with alot of plastic around the connector it will feel difficult to get cable in.
Other Thoughts: I love this computer, I have 2 tech-savvy friends that are looking to purchase this same unit for their HTPC.

Perfect Desktop for Home Office
Pros: Very compact. Doesn't take up much more space than an Xbox. This little burner is just right for our home office. Plenty of storage and go power to do everything I need for personal finances, photo processing and music storage. This computer replaces our old Gateway desktop and is our third Acer purchase in the past 4 months. After I bought an Acer Aspire laptop for Christmas I got my wife an Acer One netbook for her birthday and now this desktop to replace the old Gateway. All three from Newegg - caught each at excellent pricing. Missed out on the free shipping on this one but got it on the laptop and netbook.
Cons: As others have said there is no extra internal expansion capacity (that I'm capable of utilizing) but for my use that's not a problem. And also as others mention it came full of bloatware that took a little while to remove. But as I've said before that's probably something we have to put up with to get the good pricing from Acer and Newegg.
Other Thoughts: As I noted above, this is my third Acer computer from Newegg in 5 months and they all work great and Newegg's service and pricing are second to none.

ACER's little black box
Pros: Small form factor, good for media pc
Cons: 1st unit sent out was defective, (no video). Had to RMA and wait another week or so for a replacement. 2nd unit seems ok however there were some loose screws inside the case. I found that they were supposed to hold the mainboard in place, so I put them back in. If you want to install a tv card inside BE SURE to find a short one, The ATI card from BB don't fit so I'm gonna try the ASUS card from New Egg, Wish me luck!
Other Thoughts: Tons of bloatware on this thing so be prepared to spend some time for removal. Most PC manufacturers do this stuff to us. New Egg did a decent job with the RMA.

Great machine -
Pros: Perfect computer, replaced an aging desktop for our business. Fast little computer. I am not using it to play COD4 or anything, but it handles the simple business tasks with no problems!
Cons: Power and CD eject buttons are kind of strange but work. No backup/restore CD's as it forces you to create the backup/restore CD's yourself USING YOUR OWN DVD's. Kept crashing during the restore creation process so I eventually gave up (hence the 3 star rating). Its up and running now, and hope I don't run into any problems.
Other Thoughts: Very small computer, does not take up any space...and has hundreds of bloat ware that uninstall in seconds.
Nice :)

Sweet
Pros: I needed a non-gaming machine for a friend capable of some photo and video editing. This is a wonderful performing computer for the money. Its a nice compact platform thats easy to hide. It also has two hdmi, firewire, and plenty of USB ports.
I would rate the computer a 3.5 to 4, but the deal is an easy 5!
Cons: Limited upgrade potential. You could change the vid card (assuming the power supply will power the replacement). But then again this isn't the kind of computer you buy to modify.
Oh yeah vista sucks balls, but thats not Acer or Neweggs fault.

updated review
Pros: Since reviewing this item a few weeks back, the video card fan has since puked. I continue to give this item 5 stars because the card is pre-drilled to accomodate 3 different fan/heatsink formats. All internal wiring and layout is well organized and easy to work on/around. 15 bucks later and I'm back to normal...and new fan is even quieter. (Titan TTC-CUV3AB(DIY) VGA Cooling Fan) Had to cut the 3-connector plug and solder into the 2-connector computer plug...15 minutes invested.
Cons: $15 new vid card fan...it happens.

Nice System
Pros: Price, Price, Price.......Just read the specs. Large hardrive. 4 gig of RAM??? Card reader. Compact design, just a nice system for the money. I would buy again for sure.
Cons: None really to speak of. Haven't used the DVD burner yet, so I don't know if it's loud or not.

Very good for the price
Pros: Very impressed with the performance for the price. Has worked fine right out of the box. Speakers and keyboard are decent enough. Just pretty much plug and play.
Cons: Just some junk software. But it's not so bad as to bog down the computer or anything. So it's nothing much to worry about.
Also, not sure if it's the speakers, but the sound tends to stutter every now and then. I've experienced this while streaming music or videos, and when playing PC games.
Other Thoughts: Can run World of Warcraft at higher settings. Though at max it gets a bit choppy. You just have to tweak the settings a little. (Shadows are that main thing that slow it down) Can also run Sins of a Solar Empire at max settings no problem. Though the video card does get a bit hot when on either game for long periods of time.

small, quiet, quick
Pros: Bought this as an HTPC. The box is quiet (with the exception of the hysterically loud CD-ROM, which I rarely use) and looks nice...feels solid. Overall, the PC is great for the price. Throw away the cheap speakers and keyboard, uninstall all of the ACER software, and you've got a good little computer. I rated it a "5" because of what you get for the price. Would buy again.
Cons: CD player sounds like an airplane preparing for takeoff. ACER should have opted for wireless integration in place of the cheap keyboard and speakers.

Just Arrived
Pros: I just received this computer and got it up and running in 5 mins. It is super quiet compared to my old Gateway. Super big hard drive!! It also has a memory card reader in the front which is really hand!! If you are looking for a low priced computer to play songs, e-mail, and web browsing this is the PC for you!
Cons: A few "trail" type programs pre-loaded. It takes a few mins. to remove them all.
Other Thoughts: Great buy!

GREAT HTPC
Pros: Small Form Factor, fast & quiet while running. Processor is 2.4 GHz Pentium Dual Core and manages video playback very well. Discrete 512MB graphics card with HDMI & DVI. Large hard drive and 4GB of memory! CHEAP PRICE!
Cons: Loud DVDRW but no huge deal since I use it rarely! Alot of crapware so some time getting rid of it. Keyboard mouse and speakers cheap. If you are doijng HTPC you will probably get a wireless keyboard anyways. Again these cons are not dealbreakers just FYI.
Other Thoughts: Acer really made a good affordable system for a PC for your entertainment center. My HP Slimline died and was very loud. This desktop could work great for a standard desktop too! There is no wireless card installed and it is easy to buy a USB one. But, acer probably could have packaged a card with the unit and upped the price a bit.
