Rating + 4 Great budget machine

Pros: Customer brought one of these in for a "rollback" to XP. Great machine for the price. Lenovo has excellent driver support for windows XP and 2000, unlike other manufacturers who hide the drivers or change the model name of the machine with vista on it so as to make it harder to find XP drivers.

Cons: Comes with Vista.

Comes with DVD/CDRW combo drive instead of a DVD burner. Has a noisy hitachi hard drive.

Other Thoughts: This machine is really an IBM in everything but name. Say what you will about the hardware choises (deskstar hard drives used to be IBM deskstars etc) The machine is a solid deal for the money. Main drawback is Vista. Get rid of vista and you have a great machine.
