Rating + 3 Not bad, a big ghosty

Pros: Not a bad price - lots of tuning options and input plugs.

Cons: Pretty slow pixel response time - dvds looked like old BBC shows, and live tv always looked like the picture was slightly behind the sound. Not for the picky. No tuner, so you'll need a cable box to watch cable.

Other Thoughts: Great for slow-paced video games, anime, and movies off the hard drive - not so good for live tv or dvds.

Rating + 2 Low price, low quality.

Pros: Cheap TV, and that's about all I can say...

Cons: The contrast ratio on the TV is rather low at a whopping 1,600:1 comparing to the Samsung 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Obviously that is not true and there's not really a good way to measure CR, but still... The motion blurring on the TV is TERRIBLE. I was playing The Last Remnant, and the entire game looks like you're in Matrix bullet time. The bezel is rather large. The controller is generic. The TV responds to the remote slowly with the built in tuner. Honestly, save a little more, and go with a Samsung. You can get the 37" Samsung 3 series for a few bucks more..

Other Thoughts: The TV was given to me, but I would never recommend it. Don't bother. Go Samsung/Sony, or go home. I will be replacing this unit with a LN46A

Rating + 5 Okay so I am dense when it comes to HDTV

Pros: I bought this for a monitor and then decided that the picture was too good not to use as a TV - so I need to know how to get a standard antenna hooked up to this beast?

Great picture!!

I do not have cable or satellite just a digital antenna - which works great with my old 19: CRT .

Thanks

Cons: Can't get TV on it yet :-)

Rating + 3 Cant Beat it for the price

Pros: I use this as my computer monitor, and have never used it as a TV. Great and bright, as others have mentioned when gaming at night there is a button to adjust the dim on the remote. Menu is a bit tricky but not too hard to figure out.
You can turn off the built in speakers and have it completely go to external speakers.

Cons: Quite Thick for my computer desk for an LCD screen.
1 stuck pixel obtained at the first month of use, they will not replace it without 7 being out / stuck.
No Tuner
Slow to change sources (mainly to HDMI) and occassionally it will display with green vertical lines and you will need to turn off and turn back on the TV.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. and for me the Cons are not enough to not justify purchasing this wonderful priced TV.

Rating + 5 works for me!

Pros: Have owned this TV going on 6months now. What a fantastic product for the price! Crystal clear picture, adequate scaling options, low power consumption, very little heat. Better buy than my 4 year old Sony Trinitron 32" that cost almost twice the Olevia.

Cons: Only 1 HDMI input. Can't use RCA audio inputs if you're using both VGA and Component inputs - have to buy 1/8" adapter. SD content upscaled looks as you'd expect.

Other Thoughts: Signed up for the Newegg newsletter and this TV was on special. Bought it sight unseen, and with no experience with Olevia whatsoever. Glad I took the gamble, what a great cheap TV. I use it strictly for my Xbox360 and PS3.

Rating + 4 Inexpensive but work

Pros: You get more for the price. Picture quality good

Cons: if look from angle or from top, you wont see any black but pink like. Demension seem to be thick, not thin like many other more expensive model

Other Thoughts: Recommend mounting higher than eye level be cause if you look down, you wont see black but light pink at black point instead

Pros: Overall excellent picture using quality DNX Pixelworks hardware. Vibrant colors. Multiple backlight settings. Works well with Xbox 360.

Cons: Speaker volume is high even on lowest settings. Only one HDMI connection.

Other Thoughts: This TV does not have an HDTV tuner, so you will have to get a box for HD.

Rating + 4 Great LCD for the money

Pros: Basic pros of any LCD, dirt cheap for what you get. Some of the other reviews stated that the setup menu was bad, but I had no trouble learning it.

Cons: My cable remote can't work the volume on this TV. I guess the cable company considers this to be an off brand, even though I've heard a lot about them. Also the picture quality isn't what I expected from an "HDTV". Even with DVDs it still doesn't look like some of the bigger names.

Other Thoughts: Good buy!

Rating + 4 Olevia 332h

Pros: Price. For this price range of LCD tvs you can't beat Olevia. 1080i, hdmi, all the connections you need (though multiple of some would be nice). Good picture.

Cons: Slow to load image. Remote sluggish. No tuner included.

Other Thoughts: I bought this tv for the value of the tv. Paid 500 for it new. Good purchase. Came with 1 dead pixel but Olevia wont take it back as defective with less than 7 dead pixels. Doesnt hinder viewing any. You have to be looking for it to notice it. Great value. 5/5 for this price range; 3/5 for quality.

Rating + 5 Excellent TV.

Pros: Owned the TV for a bit more than a week now, hasn't let me down what-so-ever. Picture quality is great, good array of settings in the menu, the ability to update firmware through USB is pretty cool as well. All of the inputs work great and as they're supposed to, computer recognizes the monitor immediately and detects the right resolution.

Cons: I realized when I went to make the connections that the TV was missing any sort of tuner. Totally my mistake though, and it's an easy fix seeing as I had a VCR in the system anyway. Definitely a minor con.

Other Thoughts: Newegg couldn't have been better on this one. Shipped to my doorstep within a day, box arrived with no major damage, TV and all accessories we're totally intact. Thanks UPS and Newegg!

Rating + 5 A nice starter TV

Pros: Great viewing angle with little/no color distortion. Lightweight, one person can move it/set it up. Looks good at any resolution when configured for the room, and doesn't seem to show any ghosting. Picture is great, and the unit had zero dead/defective pixels. Price is decent for a starting-level 32" HDTV.

Cons: The input cycling could stand to be a menu instead of just one button that cycles through all the inputs, but this really isn't an issue. The remote is cheap, but works fine as a remote.

Other Thoughts: The unit arrived packaged very well, flawless condition. If you have a universal remote or a programmable remote you can put away the cheap looking remote that came with it. I also never used the built-in speakers, so those were not factored into this review.

Rating + 4 Nice

Pros: Very good picture - I have zero complaint with the picture quality. Bright, sharp, good contrast.

The remote has a Lighting button which you can use to quickly optimize the picture for bright, medium, or dim rooms. Works well.

Has a VGA-in, so it works easily as a monitor for laptops, older video cards, etc, that don't have DVI.

Cons: Doesn't have a built-in tuner, which I didn't realize when I bought it. Oh, well.

The built-in speakers aren't great, but if you're hooking this in to a PC or hifi system with nice speakers, then it doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: This is a nice, basic TV for general use. If you absolutely have to have the best-of-the-best, this isn't it, but it's a very good TV for the price.

Pros: -its huuuge as a computer monitor
-performs awesome in 720p
-no ghosting seen yet in playstation 3 games (rfom) or on pc games (counter strike source)

Cons: -wish the pc resolution was a little higher (but its really not an issue)
-im sure home theatre buffs will hate the included speakers

Other Thoughts: -i went from a 19" crt monitor @ 1200 by 960 to this 32" and i cant belive my eyes! u will not be dissapointed

Pros: Much cheaper than other brands, Great image quality for what you pay, its an HD LCD TV for cheap money..

Cons: its not the best but look at the price tag. remote isnt the best but it gets the job done.

Other Thoughts: almost a year old now, I have the previous model of this 32" TV, and its still working as good as when i first purchased it.

Rating + 5 Great TV for price

Pros: Excellent picture, sound quality is much better than expected. I use this tv mainly for XBox 360 gaming and it is beautiful!!

Cons: Putting the owners manual on a CD was a bad idea, but I don't need it so who cares. Also there aren't all that many connections.

Other Thoughts: For the price this TV can't be beat, the only reason I would say to by a more expensive TV is if you plan on hooking up a bunch of different devices with the same connection type.

Rating + 5 Great Price & Picture

Pros: Picture is great and you won't find a LCD with 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i for this price. Inputs are suitable for a user who is not planning on putting tons components on the inputs. Enough features for most, but not overwhelming for the non technical members of your family. Also, with the price you will be able to afford a few DVDs and a player so that you can actually use the LCD!

Cons: The remote is not very nice looking, but if you are going to get this price on a great LCD you cannot be too picky about the looks of the remote. After all the remote does what it is suppose to do.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you buy your cables to go with the LCD and you will be set. Also if you get a DVD player for the LCD make sure that your output of the DVD is set to "widescreen" TV, otherwise you may get some odd warping on the sides of the images. This isn't a TV problem, but a formating issue with the input source and the TV attempting to make up for the source.

Pros: Excellent set, great picture quality. I'm using DirecTV as a source and the HD is great and the SD is very acceptable. 2 Annoyances prevent me from rating it 5****'s - see below.

Cons: #1) If you have a TiVo and you turn on the TV power then hit ANY BUTTON on the TiVo remote it will shut off the TV! The "workaround" is while the TV is "booting up" and while the "OLEVIA" blue on white logo i still on the screen hit ANY TiVo remote button OR let the TV come up and don't touch the TiVo remote for 5 minutes. CHanging the TiVo remote address doesn't help - it's a Olevia issue.

#2) When the TV is on the bright blue power LED stays OFF, when the TV is OFF the bright blue power LED comes ON. Bass-ackwards.

Pros: Good picture quality, inexpensive.

Cons: Only 1 type of each input. VGA input has some screen tearing on one of my PCs, but not my newest/latest PC using 4:3 resolutions. Strange issue.

Other Thoughts: Decided to risk shipping a TV to save a little money (after rebate) and it's worked well so far.

Pros: wow, the picture quality is really good with vga plugged in. the dvi - hdmi adaptor should make it even better. this was the best bang for the buck - no other monitor had a 1600:1 contrast ratio in this price.
Counter-Strike and Half Life 2 look amazing! could'nt be more pleased for what I paid. BEST VALUE - the other reviews are true! monitor is really quiet when on too.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: get this if you are a gamer on a budget who is looking for a bigger screen.

Rating + 4 Refresh rate is only flaw

Pros: Good price, lightweight, nice and big, bright, decent sound and picture, especially for the price.

Cons: The slowish refresh rate makes any video with a high frame rate appear oddly blurry. Anime and animation are great, movies are fine, but pans in video games and movies are blurry, and live tv seems slightly behind the audio. Broadcast tv all looks like those weird 80's BBC tv shows with the woozy delayed highlights, and anything relying on sharp crisp action looks like it's underwater.

Rating + 4 Picture is nice

Pros: Price, Picture, and connections.
I only needed one input of each type so it worked great for me and, I have HD cable hooked in hdmi(looks great). menu has decent amount of options. No tuner, but does it need one?? TV startup is QUICK, 3-4 seconds.
at 720P it looks great

Cons: Sound is kinda poor, I hear a stupid vibration sound when the sound is turned up or when certain sounds are made. Other than that I like it. and I use an amp anyways.

Other Thoughts: I bought it from a local store cause it was on sale for the same price and I didn't want to have to deal with shipping, and I also bought a 2 year warranty. Hope I dont have to use it.

Rating + 5 GREAT

Pros: Great picture for the price. My friend has a Samsung 40" 1080 while the you tell a slight difference it is defenitly not a 1200 dollar difference. I was blown away with the picture quality. I did a TON of research for MONTHS and this one is the one I chose Great choice for the money. I cant speak for the speakers because I use surround sound

Cons: Remote is slow, but i knew that going into it.

Other Thoughts: You will not go wrong with this T.V. If you are on a budget like I was. It will hold it own with much higher price brands and I am very proud of the picture and when people ask how much I payed and I say $520.00 they say "you are lying"

Rating + 5 Love it!

Pros: I finally decided to upgrade my 8 years old TV w/ coaxial and composite input only. After some research I bought the best bang for the buck and I am glad that I did. I hooked up my DVD-player (progressive scan) w/ a component cable and my SD dish receiver w/ a S-Video cable and the picture is great even in SD, especially compared to the old CRT-TV. DVD's even in "only" 480p are awesome - for more you'll need a HD-DVD or blue-ray player.

Cons: None for that price and the blue led instead of the red (when TV is off) is a nice change from the standard :-)

Other Thoughts: The 32" is big enough for a living room, depending how far you are away from the TV - 6-8 feet is just fine. But, of course, there is always the bigger and better - lol.

Rating + 5 Can't Beat It !!!!

Pros: I'm using this as a monitor hooked up (dvi to hdmi) to 2 7900 gt's in sli and all I can say is WOW. Crisp, clear and absolutely no ghosting on ANY of the games I play. You wont find a better deal anywhere on a 32"LCD TV/Monitor. It's at least 30-40% less than the big name brands and it delivers on picture quality big time. Don't be skeptical because it's not a Sxxy, Sxxxung or Sxxxp. Olevia is gonna be a major player in the not too distant future!

Cons: At this price for a 32" LCD there's nothing to complain about!

Other Thoughts: Newegg is STILL the best at what it does.......

Rating + 3 High hopes and bad luck

Pros: The box arrived completely unscathed. The TV itself looked completely intact and undamaged. First impression is how large it is. It's alot lighter than it looks.

Cons: TV was considered DOA by the manufacturer. Had several horizontal black lines all the way across the center of the tv for about a 3rd of the center. Olevia tech answered in about 15 minutes and immediately said they'd replace it.

Other Thoughts: Pretty confident I just happened to get one of those few 'lemons'. It happens. Olevia tech was great. They said to keep the tv till the new one arrived and they'd arrange for someone to pick it up after the new one is verified as functional.

Rating + 5 Great Value

Pros: What a great value for those in the market for a good mid-sized HDTV. I was skeptical because of Newegg's "large box" policy, but the packaging was very good. I'm using it for an HTPC via VGA, and my Xbox 360 via Component. Both pictures look superb. There are some adjustments that can be made within Win XP to make the screen easy to read even from a distance.

Cons: Only one input of each type. An extra VGA, HDMI, and component would have been nice. Speakers are so-so and I haven't found anyway to adjust bass and treble.

Other Thoughts: They typical consumer will be very happy with this TV. The videophiles will probably find something to complain about, but this set certainly offers the best bang for the buck.

Rating + 5 simply amazing

Pros: Despite the 720p/1080i rating this thing is given... I am typing this right now with it set at 1920x1080@60Hz with a dvi - hdmi cable... yep, true 1080p. Amazing picture through xbox360 hd-vga cable for upscaling dvd's and games. wii looks alright on 480p, nothing special. refresh rate is amazing for this price range... no ghosting

Cons: very limited input... 1 of each is a bit weak... but there are boxes out there for that, and at this price, who cares... buy the boxes.

Other Thoughts: i've had this tv for a few months now... bought it from work, not newegg. it truly does hit 1080p on my 7600gs (sli)... just takes a bit of tweaking in the 93.81 drivers under the original view mode (not that stupid control panel knockoff)... my friend from work has this same thing running on a 1950xtx but it maxed out at 1920x1080@30hz and looks a bit blurry... so it may be a driver issue. i have yet to have any issues with it... and i hope it stays that way

Rating + 5 Great Budget LCDTV

Pros: For the price, it can't be beat. The price has dropped quite a bit since I purchased. Looks good with most standard definition channels. Looks great with my ps2, computer and DVD's. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to see how it looks in HD. Very configurable.

Cons: Doesn't have a tuner built in. Initially I had problems with no image on the screen after leaving it off for several hours, but the firmware update fixed it. Would have been nice if it had an output for a sub woofer.

Other Thoughts: Just like I said above. For the price it can't be beat! I purchased an extended warranty when I bought mine, just to cover all the bases.

Rating + 5 Amazing Value

Pros: Great computer/TV compromise for the money - no problems. Easy to hook-up, light - good packaging - no problems in shipping. Great size.

Cons: No cables - I guess there are a lot of inputs - but no cables at all - be prepared for a trip to Radio Shack.

Other Thoughts: I mostly got it for playing computer games/MMOs on the sofa and watching movies on the computer - not a super-high def computer monitor - but it handles my GEForce7800 and my games well - movies look good. AND - if I want HDTV later - it's ready to rock on that.

More of a smaller big screen TV than a giant computer monitor.

Pros: Great picture, multiple inputs, logical remote. Clear subtitles. I never heard of them until I bought one. Can't beat the price.

Cons: No tuner, but with cable hdtv or a vcr with a tuner it works fine. When using a DVD player, you need s-video. Otherwise it seems like the composite video can't keep up with the signal, slightly choppy. Minor con: blue led is lit when the TV is off. Seems like it should light up when the TV is on.

Other Thoughts: This is a great deal. I wish they would have a 37 or 42 inch at a bargain price. I'm waiting to buy another so I can move this model to my PC. Overall though, can't be beat. Walmart isn't even close.

Cons: I have only got a few games to work on the tv. WoW and oblivion are colorful and look perfect. Cant do half the options on the menu, idk why. No turner if thats a problem with anyone.

Other Thoughts: Basically I wanted this for my computer monitor, and I would say I am 80% Satisified with the performance. DVI to HDMI is what I use. Regular cable is decent.

Rating + 1 May Need To Avoid

Pros: Easy set up. Picture quality is good, especially at this price point.

Cons: Backlight doesn't come on in first power cycle. Must turn off and back on. Newegg's 'Bulk Item Return Policy' basically says they don't care, not their problem. My calls to Olevia customer service and tech support for the last 30 minutes have gone unanswered.

Other Thoughts: I own an Olevia LT series 30". Works admirably. Did not hesitate to buy the 332H, despite Newegg's poor policy regarding these type of products. Unfortunately, as one other owner mentions, the backlight doesn't always come on when power is applied. I identify this as a defective electronic component that the manufacturer should remedy under warranty.
Seeing 2 of 12 owners with the same problem suggests there is a bad lot of these TV's in circulation, with more than 15% problem rate. I recommend do not buy for this product at the time of this writing. Especially when you add in Newegg won't give you another, and the manufacturer won't answer the phone so you can initiate a warranty request.

Pros: Excellent value... picture is comparable to high end models at half the price. Speakers on the bottom of the console. This is great if you have a small space to fit it into.

Cons: Lack of HD tuner means that you must have a digital/HD Cable or Satellite.

Cable box remote won't work with this TV.

Other Thoughts: My husband and I bought this as our christmas present to each other. It was easy to set up and the picture is incredible. We have it connected to our HD cable box via HDMI cable. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Olevia product.

Rating + 4 Good product, Great price

Pros: I'm not all that versed in the in's and out's of LCD TVs. I just wanted something cheap that worked and was a good monitor/tv for my PVR box, Olevia fit the bill.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I kicked myself for not getting a similar black model and then it went out of stock and NewEgg took it off the listings, do not make the same mistake I did, get an LCD at the most reasonable price you can as soon as you can.

Rating + 5 Simply Beautiful.

Pros: The picture is beautiful. I use this with my computer running DVI-HDMI and my Xbox360 through component and both look great. Playing games on my PC is awesome. People walk into my somewhat small bedroom and their first reaction is "Wow..." First for the appearance of it all and then they realize that it is my computer screen.

Cons: I am slightly concerned about a little issue I am having, I haven't contacted the company yet as I am not that worried. After the first 4 days I had to start turning the TV on once, then off and then back on in order for the back-light to come on. I am fairly sure that its the back light not coming on at first because I can very faintly see the Olevia "boot" logo but the screen stays black.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to use this with your PC spending the extra few dollars on a DVI-HDMI cable is well worth it, I purchased both through Newegg and have no regrets whatsoever.

Rating + 5 Awesome Monitor

Pros: Using LCD TV solely as my pc monitor. All I can say is WOW! I first hooked it up to my pc via rgb. Horrible! Then invested ten dollars on a dvi-hdmi cable and ! Picture quality is amazing. Highly recommend

Cons: RGB connection was horrible. Text was very blurry. Tried all kinds of settings. Went away with hmdi cable.

Other Thoughts: When I tell people that I have a 32" lcd monitor..they think I'm crazy for having such a large monitor. But the few that have seen is in person, well, they leave wanting one too.

Rating + 5 Olevia 332H

Pros: I'm using the tunerless 332H as the main display on my HTPC. 1:1 pixel mapping was achieved easily using the "1 to 1" mode on the tv and turning off cropping (which was on by default. Text on the windows desktop is crystal clear. HD over the air from the PC is some of the best I've seen. Excellent color reproduction and a great contrast ratio make this a great set for high quality viewing

Cons: Standard def tv aint so great. If you still do a lot of standard def viewing the set will work but you'll be better served by smaller CRT.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic value for the money

Rating + 5 Great pc tv

Pros: Excellent price, great picture for both hdtv and my PC. Initially hooke dit to my pc through the vga input and picture was okay, could reach 1440x900 resolution. Changed to a dvi to hdmi cable and it turned into a new monitor. Can play most games at 1920x1080 at 30hrz, with an unbelievably crisp picture. Buy tv and use HDMI input!!!

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: HDMI!!!

Pros: Great TV for the Price, probably the best in it's price range.

Cons: Only one component input, undetachable speakers.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this TV after doing some research & a the Picture Quality is great. I have Comcast HDTV box hooked up via HDMI, Computer connected via RGB, and Xbox 360 connected via component.

The HDTV picture is great, picture quality is better than most tv's in this price range. Black levels can't compare to plasma but it's probably the best I've seen from an LCD thus far. Standard definition TV is ok, nothing to write home about but it's still better than most tv's in this price range. For HDTV via HDMI i give it 9/10. For Standard via HDMI i give 7/10.

Computer via RGB looks great after tweaking (setting resolution to 1360x768 and then enabling 1:1 mode on the TV) to use for just general computer use. For watching Xvid/Divx/WMV/etc content it looks great as well (I switch to aspect mode on the TV, and full screen theatre mode on the video card control panel). After tweaking with the FFDShow Image Settings (Blur & NR, Sharpen, Noise, and Resize/aspect ratio) it looks superb.

Rating + 5 Great for HTPC

Pros: Picture quality is really good. I have connected it via VGA and the picture is much better than I hoped for. The auto sync fit the screen perfectly. I use a VBOX ATSC tuner and OTA HDTV is really good looking. The TV's screen adjustment could be really helpful when connecting a HTPC and dealing with overscan but I had no problems. It is awsome to have the computer in the living room with a wireless keyboard with built in trackball.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: UPS REALLY banged up the shipping box. I told my wife to not accept a damaged box with puncture holes but she did anyway. Thankfully the TV was not touched and so far it works great. Why can you not critisize UPS? They should do better. There was HOLE in the box!

Rating + 4 Low Priced Large HD Screen

Pros: Wide Screen, Fits multiple application windows side by side, Easy to install and setup. Very bright screen, so bright I had to turn it down to a very low setting. This is their Newest Technology, user upgradeable USB port is a plus.
HD TV is very good. DVD player is very High quality. Standard TV okay. Has many different settings for Aspect Ratio to find exactly what you want for screen shape, size and realism.
Easy to change tint, colors, sharpness, resolution, all the options I want to get the picture I like best. You can stretch the picture, or not. I did not use the stretch feature so all pictures and movies are their correct size and shape.
I Love it for my main computer screen, works great with ATI video card.

Cons: The 1600 Contrast very good, but 4000 or higher would have been better. High Def. good picture, but not a knockout, but then this is a very low priced 32" HD TV. If you are looking for the best possible HD picture, this is not it, it is very good, but it is a low priced screen. But for me it is perfect, fits my price range. If I had twice the money I would buy better TV, otherwise for those of us with limited income, this is great.

Other Thoughts: Text in XP may be blurry or choppy until you find the right color, theme combination. Large fonts in Windows fixes most of this. I can have 4 windows open at the same time, read all four from 4 feet back easily. For multi-tasking this is incredible.
Playing MPEG, WMV, MOV, etc. movies from the computer hard drive is great. This bridged the gap for me from just a computer to a complete TV/Computer, digital entertainment center in one.
I always dreamed of playing my Computer hard drive movies on a large screen with High Quality, this does it. This is my computer dream system. And with the large screen my eyes are never strained. I could be nearly blind and read and surf the internet now.
