Pros: The color, contrast, simple setup, above average sound quality, plenty of input jacks, and very slick look. Plugged my PC in and it looks flawless- performs just as well as a pc monitor.

Cons: If you specifically want to play games on your television, I would recomend getting one with 120Hz (this one has 60 i believe), but I play games on this and it still looks absolutely amazing.

Other Thoughts: Every now and then there is a refresh "hickup" when playing graphically intensive games (mass effect, halo 3, ect), but this is not bad enough to ruin the experience. If you want perfection wile gaming, go with a 120Hz TV.

Pros: all the reviews i read were correct - this tv looks stellar with HD (i have DirecTV) and still excellent on regular SD channels even in a bright room. this also got the best reviews at consumer reports. easy to setup, i didn't need to change any settings to make it look great. i like that it has a lot of inputs to choose from. the internal speaker sounds good too, some other reviews said it was only ok but I think it sounds fine.

Cons: the remote doesn't control anything else (no options for that). can't think of anything else bad/annoying after more than 1 month of daily use.

Other Thoughts: i plugged in an AppleTV via HDMI and setting it to 1080p looks excellent as well.

Pros: Nice picture, easy to use menus, acceptable onboard sound.

Cons: Poor documentation and technical support information online or in manual.

Other Thoughts: After having the TV for two months, it suddenly seems to have slipped into a zoom mode, to the point I can't read subtitles. Resetting to default doesn't work, either.Resetting to default doesn't work, nor does adjusting picture settings with the cable box. The manual doesn't address the issue at all (and isn't indexed, so good luck on finding info there). The website is next to useless, with lots of vague and circular links (and some seriously odd form fields when it pulls in autocomplete from IE). I was eventually able to find some reference about picture modes that had a table indicating that when using HDMI cables, zoom isn't an option, but that's how it's connected to cable. Eventually I was able to complete a service request JUST to get phone support, but no information about when the phone support is actually available. I've called three times, not available, and no info on the hours in the IVR.

Pros: the power cable was provided, good. two packages of power cables and remotes, not so good.

Cons: DOA. I mean really dead -- no image whatsoever other than fracture lines backlit by a bluish haze...

Other Thoughts: Perhaps using UPS to ship a TV across country is not such a good idea! No outside packing or protection.

Rating + 1 Broke in less than two months.


Pros: Great picture when it worked.

Cons: Failed in less than two months. Sound but no video. Waited a week for the repair tech only to find out that the Samsung agent wrote down I get video, but no sound. This is after I explictly corrected her three times that it was the other way around. Sound, but no video. Now, I have to wait another week for the part.

Pros: Great picture, high quality product. 1080p with 3hdmi inputs and a USB port for photos and music

Cons: USB Port software for displaying photos has a clunky interface that I could not get to change folders. This made it hard to show my parents the photos I brought to them on a USB stick

Other Thoughts: Bought it for my parents because of the digital switch over and am satisfied with the purchase. I gave 4 instead of 5 eggs because i would like to have see the unit with a lower price. I paid about seven sixty for this.

Pros: quick shipping, arrived in perfect condition, love the tv. Easy setup with vcr, dvd, and wii. Even uses usb flash drive for photo slide show which was a pleasant surprise. Even after over 1 month of use the picture quality is so good it still has that 'WOW' factor.

Cons: none, unless you count the fact that I wish it was 20 inches bigger :)

Pros: Easy set-up, excellent color, more than enough connectivityand as usual, excellent service from newegg.com.

Cons: Samsung are certainly not the best people to deal with if there is a problem and although none do, I wish the tv came with a model specific wall mount

Other Thoughts: This is the second Samsung TV. The first was dead and samsung would only repair it rather than replace it. Newegg on the other hand, showed compassion and sympathy with my problem and resolved it instantly by issuing a returns email and replacing the TV with no extra charges for shipping and handling. I have and will continue to reccomend Newegg to everyone, they are a wonderful company to deal with both online and on the phone. Good job Newegg and thank you.

Pros: Above average picture and adjustments are numerious and easy to make. Price was the cheapest from newegg and got my order in 3 business days with no bad pixels on my set. Sound can be adjusted with the built in equilizer so it's not that bad as some say it is. I love the picture and fine from 5 feet away, no need for a 37 inch.
I have ordered 4 items from newegg and never had a problem. In short i'm very pleased with this samsung so far!

Other Thoughts: One amazing TV set. It became the control unit for all my entertainment needs. With Wiselink (USB connection), I hooked up 16gb thumb drive (Corsair Voyager) loaded with most of my music collection. Now I can listen to my tunes without hooking up additional devices (iPod....). With DVI-to-HDMI converter, I hooked up my laptop and my main PC. My Roku box (Netflix streamer) connects via HDMI and image is great even on low quality (2-3 dots) streams. TV detects the signal aspect ratio and adjusts the picture accordingly.

Pros: This LCD screen is PERFECT in every way. Color, Contrast, speed, overall picture display even the 550's frame is absolutely perfect. Menu is user friendly and FUN to control with one of the most beautiful remote controls i have ever seen. Form meets function with the 550 series. i am the owner of a 37" sharp aquas and this Samsung blows is out of the water. I done my homework before coming to the conclusion this TV is a GREAT price for the ammount your getting. My original budget was only 600 dollars but I'm more then happy that i spent a bit more (757). well worth it. My next lcd will be a Samsung with no dout in my mind..... speechless..

Cons: I really tried to thing of something that i would change, and the only thing i came up with is the stand... it looks good.. simple/clean, but it doesn't allow a full 90 degree swivel... come to think about it..... If it did swivel all the way it could would fall over.... so scratch that...

Pros: Nice screen, not too shiny, not too dull. TV itself looks fabulous. Lots of connection options.

Cons: I wanted to use this soley as a PC monitor for gaming. Not a good idea. It sat 4' away on a big desk, but it wasn't far enough away to make up for the huge dot-pitch on this panel. Also, although rated for a 5 ms response time, ghosting was present that isn't present on a PC LCD rated with a 16 ms response. Colors are very washed out to begin with, and I could not get them to look as nice as my monitor's no matter how long I played with the settings. Blacks were not so deep unless you turned the contrast way up, and then the monitor was too bright. (Even with the backlighting at 0) Also, no DVI port means you have to purchase a DVI to HDMI cable or adaptor.

Other Thoughts: If you want to set this up for the PC, remember to plug in the cable in HDMI 2. Use the LCD menu to rename port 2 PC and it will auto-adjust for your PC.

Other Thoughts: This is just an update of my previous review.
Previously I'd said I will never buy from Samsung again and I have not wavered from that view. After contacting Newegg, the customer service team told me to return this defective TV to them and they would replace it free of charge. They have been true to their word. My second TV is in transit from Ca. to Massachusetts, completely free of any new charges. I will reccomend online buying from Newegg to everyone, they have been a pleasure to work with and have treated my problems with total respect for me as a customer. THANK YOU NEWEGG. I will update one more time, in fairness to Samsung. I have heard the TV is excellent and I will rate it on it's merits or lack thereof when it arrives. But I stand by what I have said and I will still never buy from Samsung again. They appear not to care about their customers and my experience shows just that (read previous review).

Pros: - Wonderful picture

- Movies and Xbox 360 games look great!

Cons: - My PS2 sadly was not made for HDTV's. They where designed for tube TV's. :(
- The Speakers are definately not that great. But thats what the extra audio ports in the back are for!

Pros: 1080p on a 32" is incredible. I can't wait for regular cable to go digital so I can take full advantage of this. When I bought this from Newegg it was only $857 (What a deal!)

Cons: Sometimes the picture flickers but I think it is our cable provider and not the TV itself

Other Thoughts: I have yet to play any video games in HD on this baby, but my friend plays on a smaller TV with 720 and it looks good so it can only look amazing right?

Pros: Great Picture for the first 50 days then it just went out.... nothing like playing PC games on a 32" screen though!

Cons: Worked great then for 50 days then the screen went black. Samsung sent a repair guy out, worked great for another 2 weeks then broke again...

Other Thoughts: Great service from NewEgg, not their fault. Also good/speedy service on Samsung's part. SAVE your Emailed INVOICE! If anything goes wrong you WILL need this to receive any repairs or replacement.

Pros: -1080p resolution makes it a good choice as a monitor.

-Dynamic setting is very accurately attuned. When I ran my THX video optimizer all of the setting were already correct on the dynamic setting, quite a feat.

-Has extreme in blacks and whites but overall the video appears neutral and not overly saturated.

-Great control over picture quality.

-3 hdmi inputs

Cons: - Dust magnet. I didn't clean the bezel for 4 days and it is loaded with dust.

-Automatically switches on my AV receiver when I turn the tv on. A bit annoying when I just want to watch TV through the TV's speakers.

- Remote is a bit ugly, PIP only allows you to use one analog source and one digital source, not two digital sources simultaneously.

-Occasionally has some interlacing problems.

Other Thoughts: I received this TV with scratches on the bezel. I brought it to newegg's attention and they assured me they would look into the problem. Hopefully other buyers of this TV won't encounter the same trouble. Besides that bit of trouble, I am happy with the TV, i tried some 1080p movies files from my computer on it and it looked great. My xbox 360 games look fabulous, I am awaiting a ps3 so I can test out blu ray discs on it.

Pros: Great quality picture and the TV itself has a very nice look. Shipping was extremely fast, especially since I had the super saver shipping. I ordered Monday evening and received the TV on Wednesday evening. The TV arrived in perfect condition with no damage at all.

Pros: The picture is of course gorgeous, and price was great. I'm using this TV as a computer monitor to right this review right now. I will say you have never writen a review until you have done so on 32 inches of gorgeous screen. I haven't tested any hd movies on it yet but i'm sure they are purrrdy.

Cons: I will say that some people are right and Tv's are meant to be brighter than monitors, so staring at the screen within a distance of three feet or less can start to strain your eyes. Thankfully all you have to do is go into the menu and turn the backlight down to ease the strain. This works great for any web pages with alot of white such as the one i'm typing on right now. Then if your going to watch a movie or something of that nature you can always crank it up so the space station can watch it too. This TV does get very bright.

Other Thoughts: Overall i'm very pleased with my purchase, and if your going to use it as a monitor make sure you order an hdmi to dvi cord (i got mine for like 8 bucks). All you have to do is unplug your current monitor, plug in your new TV, and set the input. (Make sure you have a good enough graphics card). It really is just plug and play!

Pros: The best picture in the 32" class of tv's.I've played ps3 games and i'm seeing them the way they were intended and better then other hdtv's ive used.
watched blu-rays and its stunning, hd broadcasts are great.
Totally recommended.

Cons: Though I'am sure 'someone' might have something to say here; I JUST DONT.

Other Thoughts: you should know, samsung warranty covers more then a couple (2-3)dead pixels under warranty, newegg 8 or more.
i got the extended warranty so no headaches.
regardless my set has no dead pixels and looks fantastic!

Pros: High contrast, extremely fast response time for gaming, HDMI ports, and amazing 1080p for perfect Bluray playback. It also has a very sleak design to go with its performance. Great quality at a great price. Beats most of the 32"s in the same price range as far as specs go.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Glossy framing can get scuffed easily, but thats cause I wasnt being careful when handling it. I've tried this as a PC monitor and it works wonderfully at 1920x1080 resolution. I cant comment on the quality of the built in speakers because I use a 5.1 surround sound system instead. No dead pixels, everything seems to be working fine.

Pros: Great TV. The 1080p with the 5ms response time makes gaming amazing. I bought it for my bedroom and it is the perfect size. Cheaper than the similar Sony models and far superior. After extensive research and testing it surpasses my expectations. Super clear picture, great contrast, loads of inputs, lots of picture options.

Cons: Standard Definition channels off the cable box are a little fuzzy but aren't terrible like some HD sets. Speakers are a little hollow, they don't have enough bass but a simple 2 channel speaker set with a sub woofer are cheap enough.

Other Thoughts: To anyone who want an HD set for a bedroom or study, this is it. This is top of the line for this size class of LCD HD TV's. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great TV

Pros: Beautiful picture even when viewing SD and/or running an analog connection. Works well when used as a PC monitor for multi-media and gaming.

Cons: Using an adapter to connect it to a PC via HDMI yielded poor results... could probably do some tweaking to adjust, but VGA works fine for now. Slight back light bleed at times, but far from a deal breaker unless you suffer from OCD.

Other Thoughts: 120hz is nice, but this TV shines in every other respect and is 1 of the best 32" 1080P models out IMHO!

Worth every penny... should last many years.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful! I was worried about it's viewing angle because i have it mounted kinda high on the wall. My Samsung SyncMaster monitor has problems like that but this TV is crystal clear and bright at all angles. No backlight bleeding, great response time, perfect color balance.

Cons: I wish it had a DVI input because i have it hooked up to my computer that has no HDMI, but that's not really a con, i just had to buy an adapter.

Other Thoughts: My computer monitor is a Samsung as well and i will continue to buy their screens because they are the best.

Pros: No problem with the picture, it's great.

Cons: Sound, for a better word, 'blares' out with a high pitched
squeal, even in the custom mode with the high freqs
decreased somewhat.

Other Thoughts: Was thinking about getting a larger 46" for the living room, but feel I would have to purchase a better sound
system to really enjoy it.

Rating + 5 Fantastic purchase


Pros: This tv is just awesome. I wanted to go 1080p and this was the tv everybody kept recommending to me. I now know why. Besides the awesome price, the picture quality blows you away. I watched a Blu-Ray on it last night and it was amazing. I currently have it hooked up to my computer (through HDMI) so I can play games in extremely high resolution.

Cons: There is a small black vertical band that is sometimes noticeable on the left side of my tv. I could have a Samsung guy come out and look at it, but most of the time I barely notice it.

Other Thoughts: I was a little wary about buying such a large product online, but it turned out to be a great purchase. Newegg's site said I should have signed for the product so I could have had the opportunity to refuse delivery if the product looked damaged. Instead UPS just dropped it off in the garage while I was home...

Rating + 3 Problem with the Quality


Pros: Good Contrast Ratio, 1080P, and also works great as a computer monitor.

Cons: The first one had small section that was flickering. Exchanged it for a new one. The second one died after using 3 months. The red light continously blinks with no picture. I would not recommend this Samsung model.

Other Thoughts: Other Samsung TV models worked great. I believe the LN32A550 has quality issue. So far, 2 out 2 were bad.

Other Thoughts: Here I sit wishing I could watch the Olympics on my HDTV that I bought back in April, but no, not to be as it seems that these LCDs don't last very long and that it takes some time to get them repaired. Thought I was the only one until I checked around and found a lot of the Samsung LCDs with the same problem. So, buyer beware. Great product while it lasted just didn't last very long and takes an act of Congress to get them fixed.

Rating + 5 Outstanding picture for 32"


Pros: Fantastic performance/price ratio, moderately high level of picture control from available menus, sleek Samsung styling, great remote (ergonomics and backlight)

Cons: The included speaker is very weak, and most will probably want to opt for some external speakers.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to double as my bedroom television and computer monitor, and I am still waiting to build my comp to test it as the latter; however, as the former, it is a pleasure to watch. The display obviously needs to be calibrated as it was too bright and had too much red push out of the box, but once calibrated it looks fantastic. I don't know if you can find a better TV for <$900.

Pros: Very nice 32 inch tv. I bought it for my apartment at college to watch tv on and to use with my ps3. The picture is fantastic and extremely bright. The backlight adjustment allows you to control the brightness perfectly. Blu rays and ps3 games look great.

Cons: Some motion blur in dark, fast scenes. It is hardly noticeable when playing videogames or watching movies.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend it. Newegg has great service and the shipping was lightening fast and arrived in grat condition...no stuck or dead pixels

Pros: Great picture. Numerous connections. Ample features.

Cons: The PIP feature only allows the sub window to source from cable (coaxial only) or air. I can accept that the sub window is analog only, but s-video or RCA component would have been nice. You might have to use a VCR as a component to coaxial conduit. For the record...the HD content through a component to coaxial conduit didn't look bad for pip.

Other Thoughts: The d-sub computer connection really didn't look that bad. 1920X1080 looked good. I'd still personally opt for the dvi to hdmi connection for use as a computer monitor. All in all this was a great purchase, if i could go back...i would still buy it.

Pros: Great picture, This LCD has class written all over it. 1080P on a 32 inch is a great idea, work flawless.

Cons: I received mines with one dead pixel almost in the middle of the tv, but it is not noticible at all unless your watching tv up close which no one should do anyways; not good for your eyes.

Pros: This TV is great for the price. I currently have a XBOX360 connected via HDMI and the picture is amazing. With HDMI 360 will upscale DVDs to 1080p. I used a THX calibration DVD and to my surprise the colors/brightness/contrast were perfect out of the box. Overall I highly recommend this TV.

Pros: the clearest... sharpest... absolutely the best picture i've ever seen... i thought the one i saw at walmart was far superior to all the rest... and it only had a 5000 to 1 contrast... but this one is 15000 to 1... even from less than a foot away i can hardly see the pixels... "rock solid"...

Cons: none... luvit... luvit... luvit...

just gonna take a little time to learn all the little toots and whistles...

Other Thoughts: i placed the order early monday morning... was expecting it to arrive wednesday at the earliest... tuesday i came home and ups had left a note on my door ... lol... ;-) (i don't know how they did it but they beat the email with the tracking number on it)... "UPS rocks"... & "NEWEGG just can't be beat"...!!!
