Never worked
Pros: None
Cons: Even when I hooked it up to my cable, it was only able to get a few cable stations. Was not even able to get one channel even with the external antenna.

It's so-so
Pros: Light, portable,various power sources.
Cons: Will not get all the available channels that it should consistently. Each scan reveals different channels. Limited battery length.
Other Thoughts: It's just so-so. Nothing too impressive about this unit. It functions, simple and basic.

Good, not great
Pros: Good price and works well as an emergency television or something to watch out at the lake.
Cons: 400x280 screen resolution which is not that great. Bought it to use as a focus monitor for my camcorder and the resolution isn't good enough to pull focus. It also doesn't support HD through the AV, so the signal from my camcorder was distorted.
Other Thoughts: If you just need an emergency TV or something to use outside (too much interference inside), it's a nice unit. I don't enjoy fishing, but I go with my step-father for bonding time and this thing saves my sanity.

True story
Pros: Why do you need a portable battery powered TV? Read on my friend: It was Jan 1994 just after the Northridge Quake hit. I turned on the emergency radio and heard “we think it’s an earth quake we are waiting for more information” – worthless. As soon as the sun cam up, TV news helicopters were broadcasting live pictures of the quake all over the world, but I did not know that because my electricity was out for many days. I was in the quake area and I did not know what was going on. Cell phones did not work, many people had no water, and all traffic signals were out. Now I have a TV that works on battery power. After the next big one, I can just plug the Axion portable TV into the automobile cigarette lighter and start watching the TV coverage right away!!!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: In case you were wondering, for many years I had a B&W cigarette lighter & battery 5” TV, but it NTSC only – obsolete now.

Axion 7" lcd tv
Pros: It does what it supposed to do just plug in and let the auto channel find channels for you and that it.
Cons: needs better antenne only picks up 1/2 of all local channels
Other Thoughts: would recommend this to anyone looking for a portable tv.

Good for occassional use
Pros: Sharp picture. Included remote antenna is necessary for any reception.
Cons: No volume control or power on/off on remote. OK because you're going to be close to view anyway.
Other Thoughts: Forget watching widescreen DVDs into the auxiliary input. The picture is just too small on the 7 inch screen. Used a vacuum mounted camera pod on the screw on mount and stuck it to the bathroom wall backsplash. Works well there.

Good emergency LCD TV
Pros: Nice input (F female connector) for an external small antenna (included, or use your own), or use the external antenna supplied. Easily finds all NTSC and ATSC channels.
Cons: Remote does not change the volume (it is on a pot at the side). Also does not tune clear QAM unencrypted cable channels. But for over the air it is fine.

It is what it is
Pros: It is a potable TV. You don't get this to watch from the couch in the TV room. I have used it most to take to work to view weather radar for incoming rain. I bought at Newegg (and they rock) with a HD directional antenna and get enuf channals to do what I need. I never knew there were so many worship and Spanish channels out there before. Everyone who has seen it love it and ask where I got it and are surpised at the cost. It has very good colors and pix is good for the size screen. Easy to figure out and gets lots of stations if you are outside. Comes with a remote, small ac adapter and car cord for playing not charging. 100 minate play time with 4 hour charge time.
Cons: Inside a building or job trailer the choice and amount of stations declines but the ones you get are clear. The sound is not the best but then again it is a potable, not for the TV room. The battery is an on board one so you can't change batteries if you have no access to power.
Other Thoughts: I told the wife it was for hurricane supplies and she almost believed me. On the west coast of Fla you need all the advantages you can get. Oh did I mention Newegg ROCKS!

Hit and miss
Pros: Good Price ($129 when I got it), fantastic viewing angle.. you can even see the screen fine if you're looking at it directly from the side, colors are nice and vibrant if you view it in the dark, unit looks nice, sleep timer (up to 4 hours), channel filter, audio is OK considering the tiny speakers, seems fairly sturdy yet lightweight, on-screen guide is pretty good, picks up channels just fine provided you have a good antenna or cable subscription, brightness adjustment wheel on the side of the unit (more useful than you'd think), volume wheel above brightness wheel, widescreen toggle button on the unit, flip-out backrest to lean it on a table, car adapter, AV cable with composite (RCA) connections.
Cons: I have been unable to find what the actual screen resolution is, but it's not spectacular. Even HD channels come in moderately blurred, maybe a little better than a standard Youtube video. There's noticeable backlight bleeding on the left side going in about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Audio is fine considering the tiny speakers, but it's still a little hollow and tinny sounding. The antenna attached to the unit is absolutely useless, and I was only able to pick up 2 channels with the included external antenna (it has a magnetic base by the way). With the big antenna I have mounted to the ceiling in my garage (and routed outside) I picked up 32 stations. The buttons on the tv and remote are kind of screwy. For example, there's no ON/OFF button or volume buttons on the remote, whereas there's no guide button on the TV yet there is on the remote. Pressing a number like 4 on the remote takes you to 4-0 (analog) you HAVE to press 4-1 for digital which is kind of annoying. No channel recall button.
Other Thoughts: Overall, it's not a bad unit. It's watchable and it has a lot of handy features, but it also leaves a lot to be desired. If a clear, crisp screen is important to you, you may be disappointed with this unit. If price is your main concern and you're OK with a bit of blurriness, then I'd say go for it. If you plan to use it to watch sports, be advised that scores may be hard or impossible to read because of the blurriness+small screen. The price was right for me, and it serves it's purpose, so I'm a happy camper. I sometimes use the included AV cable in conjunction with a cheap iPod AV cable I bought at popular online cable store to watch movies from a 5th gen iPod video.. and it works great.
I tried to be as thorough as possible given the limited space provided. Hopefully someone finds this useful. I did buy this on Newegg, just under a different account.

Pros: Great little TV, light weight and great picture. Hooked up on Transition day June 12th, and found all the new digital chanels around Portland ,Oregon over the air. Some channels including PBS have 2 or 3 alternate programs at once 10-1, 10-2 ,10-3 etc .local cable company doesn't even offer those extras. The manual stated 100 minutes of battery life I got 115 after a full charge of 6-7 hours. The extra external antenna is a must and it has a magnetic base to attach to anything ferous metal.
Cons: The built in whip antenna gives poor to no reception for me. I'm 15 miles from the hill where most antennas are located . With the new digital transmissions it's all or nothing no snow or partial pictures with marginal sound like the old analog signals . Remote required for manual channel selection
Other Thoughts: The external whip antenna has to be moved arround to receive different channels kind of a hassle. Do a scan where you are sure to be in line of sight of all the transmitter sites or you might not get all the channels out there during the scan and you will have to enter them manually. Don't forget to add a - after the channel # (eg. 12-1 for channel 12 etc) manual channels can only be added with the provided IR remote since there is no numbered keypad on the set just up/down arrows for channel selections.

Works well!
Pros: Easy to setup and use. Comes with all the attachments you need. Remote control, external antenna, car charger, ac adapter, a/v cables. This is perfect for our hurricane disaster kit in Florida.
Cons: None really.

Big Suprise
Pros: I don't usually review products but because I was mislead by a couple of orher reviews so I thought I could be of some help. Someone stated that you couldn't rescan for channels. Read the booklet, it's a very simple matter to do a new channel scan any time you wish. I hooked up the included remote antenne and located it high and away from the tv and picked up about 40 channels. Some channels are exceptional and some are HDTV.
Cons: The integrated antenne gave me unacceptable reception, don't use it. I rescaned when I changed the antenne and or the antenne location and I ended up with great result.
Other Thoughts: Far, far better performance than either of the other small format TV's I have owned.

Fine in metro area
Pros: First-day report: I live within Baltimore city limits, so I'm not too far from the major transmitters. Set quickly came up and found all the major network stations, minus PBS, using the built-in whip antenna. Analog stations are a little flaky, but 6 digital stations and subchannels are pretty strong. Switching to the included external antenna got me the PBS digital station in Annapolis, perhaps 20 miles away. Picture is obviously not HD, but is clear and crisp on digital. Volume is decent. Nice range of accessories included. Pleasantly surprised by the digital program guide.
Cons: No volume control on remote. Sensitive to viewing angle. Would have liked option to swap in alkaline batteries during an extended power outage.
Other Thoughts: Overall, pleasantly surprised. Better on digital than analog, thus should be fine after the June 12 cutover, but stations will be changing power and frequencies, so my reception may change. If you're more than 20 miles or so away from broadcast towers, you might have some problems with this, even with the external antenna, so learn about the signal strength in your area first, possibly at antennaweb.org.

Excellent TV
Pros: Awesome Small Tv, recieved from UPS as we were heading to Tornado shelter. Easy set up we did it with in a few minutes of reaching the Shelter, Pulled in over 20 channels very clearly. Lightweight great for putting in the Diaper bag to take along or just for keeping in the car for emergencies! I definitely plan on buying another!
Cons: Absolutely NONE!

Nice Unit depending on how used
Pros: Excellent picture hooked up to cable. Digital tuner allows for HD/DT channel display as broadcast thru digital cable subscription. Channel setup will find all channel choices for a single channel to include the analog, digital (DT) and HD versions of the same channel (some channels in our area have all 3 choices).
Cons: No volume control on remote. Over air reception not great, but may be just our area as even an amplified digital indoor antenna made little difference.
Other Thoughts: Replaced a battery powered 4" B/W tv on a shelf in the kitchen. Had to run a cable hookup to unit as over air reception was terrible compared to the analog BW tv. If you have the cable option or you have good reception in your area you will be impressed by the picture, especially the ability to show DT/HD (of course at lower resolution) channels on a 7 inch screen. In our situation a great "upgrade".

Functional but not stellar
Pros: Has built-in ATSC tuner so no converter box required. Has external antenna to boost signal. Can lock in signals fairly well. Rechargeable battery. Good volume levels. Remote. Lightweight.
Cons: Picture on this LCD, including ATSC channels, is worse than my 4" standard-def Casio. Brightness levels must be cranked up, otherwise dark portions of the screen dominate. No screwholes for mounting (but I suppose 3M tape will hold it). Can't delete channels once autoscan is complete.
Other Thoughts: This TV is fairly limited feature-wise and you wouldn't want to watch it for hours on end but for intermittent viewing (like in the bathroom or kitchen), it's more than adequate.

Just Barely OK
Pros: Compact size with built in as well as added antenna. Sound and pictrue are both adequate if not sharp or clear.
Cons: Minimal adjustment options on the unit. In my location even though I have 4 local channels bradcasting digital and/or HD this set has a problem picking up any.
Other Thoughts: Right now the only channels that I can receive are those in analog. I did hook it to my cable feed and it was able to receive all the channels that my other sets do, However, the goal was to replace a 5" B&W set that is analog and will not work in February. I am not sure that this one will meet that need.

Pros: Nice picture.
Cons: I cannot get anything but prime channels, sports and cartoons. I wanted it for cable news and cannot get any new channels like CNN or MSNBC. That's all I wanted so the TV is useless for me.
Other Thoughts: The reason I have it for two months, beyond the thirty days is to let my helpers try to see if it would get my channels. No luck. Not happy

Pros: Product received ok; however, the TV (portable) could only receive 4 stations. I live in the Washington DC area, and am able to receive many stations on my cheap black and white protable TV, which will be obsolete in Feb. I am returning the TV to you.
Cons: See comments above.

Great product!
Pros: The tv is compact, perfect for camping, kitchen or distract the kids in the car (an adapter is included). The controls are easy and there is an option to scan and add new channels without erasing the ones that are stored in the memory. The audio/video input are perfect for connecting a dvd player or a video game. Price is very affordable.
Cons: Reception will depend on weather and topographic conditions as any other tv. Battery life is 90-100 minutes. Screen resolution would be better. There is no usb port.
Other Thoughts: You may want to put a screen protector (not included).
