Pros: Installation is easy and the parts for it are better than most, comes with foam for the outside edges. Cools very well, will freeze you out of the room if set lower than 70. for a cheap window unit that cools great this is the one. Directionality on the vent acually works.

Cons: fan noise is a little loud but not a concern for me, last unit was much louder and made all sorts of horrible noises that would not let me sleep. the fan is no louder than ambient sound of all the other electronics in the room. If your looking for a silent AC you dont want to buy this one.

Other Thoughts: Front casing is plastic like all other units of its class but the casing, mounts, and coils are well made. Filter assembly probably could have been better thought out but works.
10000btu 110v for under $150 shipped, I can handle the slightly louder fan.

Pros: Blows cold air.

Cons: LOUD. Makes strange noises. Cheap construction. I have never been so dissappointed with a product from a reputable manufacturer such as SHARP. I plan on giving this junk to charity in the fall when Louisiana finally cools off. I hate this A/C more than simple words can describe.

Other Thoughts: I own another SHARP unit that is probably four or five years old and it is awesome. I cannot believe these two units were made by the same manufacturer.

Pros: High EER (if true), remote control

Cons: Poor overall quality, LOUD, cheap plastic front bezel that does not fit or work correctly.

Other Thoughts: Sharp could do better, much better.
