Pros: I purchased the "HUNTER 90021 Brushed Nickel 12" Table Fan". It's the same fan as this one, but different color. This is a High quality fan made of metal. The slide switch is wonderful and the fan operates flawlessly. There's no vibration during operation and at the lowest speed the air stream is great! I use it every day at my work desk as it helps move the air around my small cubical. The craftsmanship, design and high quality are just enormous!

Other Thoughts: I really believe you won't find a better fan than this.

Cons: Blades won't even *start* to turn on low or medium, have to put on HIGH then switch down. Although sometimes even on HIGH I have to reach in with something and give the blades a push before it will start. Sometimes SEVERAL pushes.

If run on HIGH for any length of time, starts making a really aggravating random intermittent chirping squeal which gradually gets worse.

Requires a screwdriver to dismantle grill and blades for cleaning, very annoying.

Other Thoughts: I should have returned it while it was still an option. I really expected a fan with the Hunter name to be something I would have for years and be very happy with. Seems I was wrong. Yet another American company with such a great reputation succumbing to go offshore and ruining their products. Oh I should note that I got the brushed nickel version but I'm sure this is the same piece of junk with black paint on it.
