Pros: Gets hot for an electric grill. Cooks very evenly. Weber quality construction

Cons: Not quite hot enough. This is not a substitute for a gas/charcoal grill.

Other Thoughts: It does get hot enough to sear, but just barely. If you are like me and in a position where gas/charcoal simply isn't an option, this is a great electric grill, many times better than other similar products I have tried. However, it really can't perform at the level of a gas/charcoal grill. It simply can't generate the high temperatures required for steak perfection. It does do a good enough job, a gives food a good grilled flavor that you cant get using a foreman-type grill or broiler. Bottom line: if you can get a gas/charcoal grill, go with that. If you have no choice but electric, this is the grill to get.

Pros: Unit is small and compact which is a great size for a small patio or balcony.

Cons: I have used this grill several times even though I have only owned it for a short period of time. Despite what Weber claims, this unit does not get hot enough to properly sear food. The food tastes like it was done in the broiler in my oven...not at all like grilled or barbecued. I replaced a Weber Q propane grill with this Q140 and I am not at all satisfied with the product. This is not a reflection on Newegg.com as their service has been excellent.
