Pros: I got this machine to supplement my central air in my bedroom. It quickly cools the 12 x 14 room just as I wanted it to. It is very efficient as it lower by power bill since I no longer have to cool the entire house at night.

Cons: You cannot shut off the LED lights so I needed to tape over them to keep the room dark at night.

The fit and finish leave something to be desired. The metal bends easily and I put some dents in it just getting it out of the shipping package.

Other Thoughts: For the price, is it a good machine with some minor flaws.

Pros: Small, it will fit in any window in my home. Highly efficient has an EER rating of 11. I love the remote control and the fact that it can send signals at angels. Digital temperature display. I could go on and on about the pros there are so many. Air filter works very well.

Cons: Shipping an AC unit could be a hassle if it arrives damaged. Mine only had a very small dent in the back. I would say the size of a dime maybe smaller.

Other Thoughts: I'm using it in my media room. Where I have 2 computers and gaming systems. Having all these electronics can heat up the room very quickly. With this AC unit it can cool the room in 2 minutes and keep it there.

Pros: Keeps office cool. Has clean air feature, tells you when filter should be cleaned. Small.

Cons: Can't really think of any.

Other Thoughts: I mounted this on a side window pane in an office with several computers. Before this AC I could not keep this room cool if it go warm outside.
Got it a couple of weeks before the heat wave and it has not disappointed.

Pros: Considering its my first window A/C I don't much experience to compare it too. With that said, it works great so far. On the high setting it is quieter than a normal large fan I used to use. My room is pretty cold now and it is effective almost immediately after turning on. With the EER at 11 it is cheaap to use which is pretty good compared to similar models.

Cons: When it came the box wasn't in the best shape but the delivery guy left before I could refuse the package. Because it being a bulk item you can not return the A/C after you sign for it so it seemed like I missed my chance to return it. I took my chances and opened it up. On the top near the side was a large dent like the corner of something heavy fell on it. I inspected through the large vent ports and it looked like it missed damaging anything important. It only made it a little difficult to screw on the additional parts. I tried to remove the cover to hammer it out but couldn't get the thing off and didn't want to risk breaking it.

Other Thoughts: I have a horizontal sliding window which it isn't meant for so I MacGyver'ed a custom frame with some scrap and it works well so far. If this A/C looks good to you I recommend going to a nearby store to buy it instead of risking the damage of it being shipped.

Pros: all good , just buy this,

Cons: nothing

Pros: Cold. I have one of these in my bedroom and also cool the hallway with it, and one in juniors room. I havent needed to turn either one on high, and they both cool efficiently and quietly.

Cons: Lightweight construction, packed so/so. (See below)

Other Thoughts: Check check double check when they arrive at your door and send back *ANY* that have any damage whatsoever to the outside of the package. The packing on these units is a bit thin and the materials used in construction don't lend themselves to taking a beating very well. I had to "comb out" multiple veins on the back of one of these units that had been smashed in. It looked "allright" when they got here, but opening it was another matter entirely. Just be cautious.

Pros: Quickly cools my room, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to have my room very cool. Energy Star rating is great. I sleep very comfortably and need a thick quilt is needed when set to lowest temperature.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Newegg Rocks! I buy a lot of electronics from them. They ship quickly every time.

Pros: Work, High SEER, light weight and easy to install.

Cons: none wso far

Other Thoughts: Had to install 2 in one room due to room size and 100+ outside temp. Check your cubic ft as you might need a bigger unit than this.

Pros: I purchased this unit for placing in a room with three computers. Good ac cooling ability, especially with the Texas summers being 100 degrees(f) or more. I love the remote and digital thermostat on the unit.

Cons: I think that the air seal may not be as good as I would like. A lawn mower went by the window, after I sealed the unit in place, and within seconds I could smell the cut grass and motor fumes.

I think that this is a chronic problem of all window unit sellers... Their non-AC hardware sucks. After I installed the unit, there were spiders, moths, mosquitoes and other insect critters crawling through the side paneling. That means that cool air was getting out and hot, humid air was getting in!

Window unit manufacturers should provide better hardware support with their units. They should not rely on the customer to actually create a air sealed enclosure.

It would be nice for the manufacturers to supply a 1 or 2" foam insulation sheet that is cut to slide inside the side slats to help provide insulation and an air seal. Design the side slats so the foam sheet fits into the slat, and the customer can cut the sheet to the desired lengths for the variable window sizes.

Other Thoughts: I finally removed the two side slats and cut a 1x10 board to the dimensions that I needed. Then I used silicone on all the window to board, window to AC and AC to board edges(yes, top sides and bottom ;) ) to create an air seal all around the window and AC unit. I also used a Double Reflective Insulation, from Home Depot, on the lower half of the window outside the board to provide a better insulation and to keep the afternoon sun off the window.

Pros: Works like a charm. Very quiet. This is my 2nd one. The last one lasted 3 years.
Newegg does a fine job!

Cons: Insallation directions just don't cut it. They need to do a better job on this. I had to customize the window fit.

Pros: Powerful, quiet, smooth and perfect function. You might find comparable units in this price range, but can't imagine better.

Cons: None. Only qualifier is we're using this to cool a room that is 10x10 ft. Its too powerful for this area, we often have to raise the temp setting bc it works so well. Can't speak about a larger area but I would bet this does a great job for a room 3x the size.

Pros: Love the remote. strong fan and it isnt loud. love the timer feature. I set it to come on 1hr before i get home. I havent tryed the ion aire purifier yet but ill try that soon. Lightest a/c i have ever picked up. I unpacked and installed it in the window myself.

Cons: wasnt less than $100 bucks...lol

Pros: Considering the cost of electricity nowadays, this unit is a Solid value for the money. The unit is small enough to fit in small windows, it's quiet, and it effectively cools a small living room. Installation into a window sill was very smooth. It beats having a inefficient house air-conditioning running all day when all it that is needed is this small unit. The remote control is an added plus. Overall, the unit is a great value for the money.

Cons: This con has nothing to do with the unit itself. Similar units cost approximately the same. However, the cost of shipping really made me think whether I would purchase the unit from newegg or a big-box retail store. Ultimately, I could have purchased a unit with similar features and save the approximately $50. However, newegg has always given me the most bang for my buck, so I relented and purchase it from newegg. They've saved me a lot of money in the past, so I don't mind giving them the benefit of the doubt this time. They deserve it.

Pros: Very quick, small in size, very nice AC. It has a 'Clean Air" feature, which purifies the air a bit and it cools very well.

Cons: Low BTU, difficult to point the direction of the air

Other Thoughts: Works like a charm for my little apartment.

Pros: This unit is quite energy efficient, has low noise and a novel design. My aging parents can carry it around, as it is quite light compare to other window units. The controls are reasonably well designed and have more options than similar window units, which often lack even a thermostat.

Cons: Sometimes the energy saving features are a bit annoying, but this is a minor grievance.

Other Thoughts: Out here in the desert climate (Salt Lake City) it keeps a south facing (the hot side) 350 ft^2 room comfortable.

Pros: perfect size and weight. Easy to install by one person, not obtrusive. Lovely controls with positive look, feel, and sound. Lots of very nice features added in, like energy saver, low voltage compensator, hi qual touchpad and screen controllers, highest EER I was able to find in this category. If I needed more cooling power in the same or larger room I'd buy 2 of these instead of 1 larger unit.

Cons: none. very user friendly packaging and installation with clear instructions. I suppose they could offer a second color choice other than white.

Other Thoughts: nice energy efficiency. I like to combine these with very well insulated rooms and minimal windows if any. Unit looks well made for the price involved. I bought 3 for the price I was planning to pay for just one.
