Great Combo 12/29/2007
I have been running this combo for about 8 months, although I bought the components separately. The onboard video works fine for nearly everything including many games and it has a PCI-E slot if you need more video power. SATA and PSAT connections are good for recycling older components and for adding newer faster ones. I have had good luck with ESC MBs and continue to look at them for new builds.
The single core Athlon 3200 is about as fast as you can get anymore for the 754 slot. Also the Memory chips are expensive compared to AM2 slots.
This has been an excellent combo for average computing, internet use and light game playing. If you are trying to revive an old system or want to put together an excellent budget machine then this is the way to go. The driver for the onboard sound is a little picky so install the drivers one at a time with the sound last. I thought my board was bad until I tried this process and all of the features work fine. Using with: 1Gig DDR400 Wintec Ampro Ram, Cooler Master CPU fan, Rosewill RV300 Power Supply, recycled case, hard drive, DVD/CD burner, floppy and monitor. All items (except recycled ones) bought from Newegg (You Rock).
