I got some 64-bit drivers 08/05/2009
This review is from: LINKSYS LNE100TX EtherFast LAN Card 10/ 100Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45
None really, overpriced, no official 64bit drivers... Gave it 2 star because I finally got it to work.
SEE OTHER THOUGHTS.
Buy intel, on the box of this thing it says designed for XP but works all the way back to windows 98, get with the times. On their site the last time the 32 bit drivers were updated was 2001. Don't plan on finding 64 bit drivers from linksys.
I bought this item from a local computer store, not newegg because I needed a ethernet adapter after my onboard internet died. I wanted it quick and didn't want to wait even 3 days, this card was the only thing they had.
I run windows 7 64bit and the drivers included on disc and site were for 32 bit only. :(
However I found a guy on the linksys forums who used some other network cards 64bit drivers to make it work on Windows Vista (and 7) 64bit operating systems.
1) Go to google, search "Lne100tx 64 bit driver" without the quotes.
2) the first thing that pops up will be a thread from linksys forums click that.
3) this will not be the correct thread, but it only has 3 posts, scroll to the bottom of it and click the link that Crimson Behelit links to his own thread.
4) In his thread he has a download link to 64bit drivers.
I really hope this helps people who fell into the same problem as me, and I hope that direction is ok since I can't post hyperlinks, only trying to hel
