No video acceleration 10/08/2009
This review is from: HIS H435H512PP Radeon HD 4350 512MB 64-Bit DDR2 PCI Low Profile Ready Video Card
Silent operation and enables gaming provided resolution and quality aren't highly elevated. Onboard eight-channel HD sound.
Expensive and accelerates neither SD nor HD video, in both XP and Vista. In fact, video playback in Vista, PowerDVD, TMT 3, and WMP displays a blank green screen.
In Vista, driver BSODs on bootup if onboard "Intel Extreme" graphics hardware is not disabled.
ATI says their driver will not accelerate video over PCI bus, and advised me to use a PCIe version. But where does that leave the millions of machines, especially Dells, that lack PCIe or AGP slots?
Those seeking video playback on such machines can instead use nVidia-based PCI cards like the Sparkle 8400GS sold here.
